Cheap Jerseys Paypal . With so much talent on hand, Canada cruised to a perfect 7-0-0 record, blitzing opponents by scoring at least four goals in every game. It helped that the rest of the field was fairly weak in 1995, as none of the European teams would come close to matching Canadas offensive prowess. In fact, the best non-Canadian in the tournament in terms of future success was Adam Deadmarsh, who scored 10 points for the fifth place Americans. Thanks to the NHL lockout, Alexandre Daigle was back after a one year hiatus and he was one of five Canadians to reach double-digits in scoring. Marty Murray and Jason Allison led the way with 15 points, while Eric Daze paced the club with eight goals. Defenceman Bryan McCabe was also an offensive force, scoring 12 points. Despite the presence of McCabe, Ed Jovanovski, Wade Redden and Nolan Baumgartner, Canadas defence corps was very average compared to its attack. Goaltenders Jamie Storr and Dan Cloutier, both first round NHL picks, coughed up 22 goals. In total, there were 13 first round NHL picks on the 1995 Canadian team, including eight from the class of 1994. When the dust settled, Marty Murray was named the tournaments top forward and McCabe was the top defenceman. Canada counted four of the six all-star berths, with Allison and Daze joining Murray and McCabe. The gold medal victory made it three in a row for Canada, which would eventually run that streak to five. At the NHLs Christmas break, days before the calendar turns to 2015 and two weeks from the mid-way mark of the NHL season, it is time to feel good about what weve seen so far, or feel bad if we must. Seb Hines Orlando City SC Jersey . What follows are choices--the obvious and the not so obvious-- for feel good and feed bad teams and players. First, the Eastern Conference, and tomorrow, the Western Conference. Thumbs up to the feel-good team in the Eastern Conference--the Toronto Maple Leafs. No, I mean it--this isnt some attention-getting, tongue-in-cheek submission--its a good thing if the Leafs are in a playoff spot. Its certainly good for the NHL, which would take a Toronto-Pittsburgh series in the first round, or, better still, a Toronto-Montreal matchup, and be downright giddy. Its a good thing for Leaf lovers and haters alike--you can cheer for them or hope they get knocked off in the first round after blowing a three-goal lead in game seven. (Oh, wait, Boston isnt in a playoff spot right now. More on the Bruins momentarily). The obvious choice for feel-good team? The New York Islanders. Its a nice story if they leave Nassau Coliseum on a positive note--better to remember the glory days than the other kind. Thumbs up to the feel-good player(s) in the East--Tyler Johnson, Nikita Kucherov and Ondrej Palat--well call them the super sophs of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Without any fanfare, Palat led the Bolts in scoring last season; Johnson was one goal shy of the team lead and Kucherov was needing only more ice time to be better noticed. To be sure, the rookies wouldnt have been as prominent if Steven Stamkos had played a full season, but look at them now, with Stamkos healthy and back among the NHLs top ten scorers--Johnson ranks 8th in the league, Kucherov is in the top 20 and Palat hit the Christmas break with a three-point game in a win over Pittsburgh. The obvious choice for feel-good player(s)? Rick Nash of the New York Rangers. Twenty-six goals last season--23 already this season. Enough said. Thumbs down to the feel-bad team in the East--the Columbus Blue Jackets. They were supposed to pick up where they left off last season, which was a game-six defeat at the hands of the Penguins in a first-round playoff series that could have gone the other way. Columbus fans had reason to hope for the teams first-ever appearance beyond the first playoff round in 2015, and the All-Star Game guaranteed a league-wide spotlight. Well, the story in Columbus has been one of injuries. You feel bad for any team so dramatically affected, but especially for a team that was so optimistic after so much failure since joining the league in 2000. Recovery is possible, but even after a hot streak that saw the Jackets win seven straight games, they are nine points out of a playoff spot. The obvious choice for feel-bad team? Those Boston Bruins. First in the East last season, a point out of the playoffs right now. There is no reason to panic, but theres every reason for disappointment so far. Thumbs down to the feel-bad player(s) in the East--two Bruins, and you can pick the one you think is most obvious--Tuukka Rask or David Krejci. Rask was among the leaders in any statistical category that applied to goaltenders last season, and he is currently nowhere to be found on those lists. Krejci should be Bostons leading scorer, but he cant be if hes not playing, and he has been out of the lineup more than half the time. He has responded to criticism by saying he should stay off the Internet. Or get healthy and play better, the latter being hard without the former. Cyle Larin Jersey . The simulation used the soccer engine in EAs "2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil" video game. Brazils Neymar wins the Golden Boot with six goals according to the simulation. Spain, meanwhile, beats Portugal 3-1 in the third-place game. Germanys jouurney to the virtual final includes a 2-1 win over Argentina in the quarter-finals and a 5-4 penalty shootout victory over Spain in the semifinal. Lewis Neal Jersey. Brazil beat Uruguay 4-3 in a penalty shootout in the quarter-finals and earned a 1-0 semifinal win over Portugal. In the other simulated quarter-finals, Spain defeats England 2-0 and Portugal edges Nigeria 4-3. In 2010, EA Sports simulation correctly predicted a Spain win. NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

The Canadian Olympic Committee has indicated in court documents obtained by TSN that it is pursuing its watershed lawsuit against clothing maker The North Face. In a Dec. 2 notice of application filed in B.C. court, the COC alleges that the apparel company infringed on Olympic trademarks during the Sochi Games in Russia in February when it sold its so-called Villagewear Collection of apparel because Villagewear was see as alluding to the Olympic Village where athletes are housed. The North Face, meantime, accuses the COC of trying to restrict Canadians abilities to express their national pride. The lawsuit highlights the ongoing battle by Olympics officials to stamp out the practice of ambush marketing, a term coined during the 1980s by the International Olympic Committee to describe companies trying to profit from a perceived tie to the Games without actually paying to be an official sponsor. Neither The North Face nor its parent company VF Corp. is an Olympic sponsor. The North Face marketed and released its line of Villagewear clothing in the weeks leading up to the Sochi games. After the COC complained, the company renamed its line the International Collection. It includes ski and snowboard jackets, winter hats and duffel bags in the colours and flags of various countries. The Canadian-themed items are red and white and feature a prominent maple leaf. Several items have a crest that reads RU/14. The COC says thats a clear attempt to tie the product line to the Sochi Games. The Olympic committees lawsuit, first filed in February, says items were marketed with names like Mens Sochi Full Zip Hoodie. The product line captures the international spirit of the Olympic Games, a company catalogue reads. The plaintiff ... brings this action to address the defendants wrongful conduct calculated to mislead Canadian consumers and other persons into believing (wrongly) that the defendant is an official sponsor or supporter of the Canadian Olympic Team, says the COC statement of claim, filed in B.C. Supreme Court. The COCs allegations have not been proven. The North Face marketed and released its line of Villagewear clothing in the weeks leading up to the Sochi games. In its statement of defence, The North Face challenges whether the COC even has the right to trademark the Olympic marks. The COC has itself failed to adopt or use the alleged Olympic trademarks, and has never been the owner of the said marks, in that the marks have always been beneficially owned by the International Olympic Committee, not the COC, The North Face wrote in its pleadings. Hernanes Brazil Jersey. None of the defendants products or associated marketing ever used Sochi 2014... in any form, the pleading says. (The North Face) has never suggested or implied that it was an official sponsor, supporter or licensee of COC, or that any of its products were connected to the COC by way of endorsement or otherwise... no Canadian consumer was ever misled or confused by defendants products or promotions, or led to believe that there was any commercial relationship between defendant and COC. The North Face also alleges it has the right to use national flags of different countries on its garments and says the COC similarly has no right to stop companies from selling goods featuring the word Canada or those made using the national colours of a country. COC does not own and should not be permitted to claim monopoly rights over common patriotic exhortations such as sport the colours of your home country, or show support for your favourite team competing in this winters international competition, The North Face says. Ambush marketing is a story line that plays out during every Olympics. Lululemon marketed clothing that referred to a cool sporting event taking place in B.C. during the 2010 Winter Games in Vamcouver The COC did not take legal action in that case, The Globe and Mail reported. The Vancouver Olympic organizing committee also criticized Scotiabank for an ad campaign encouraging Canadians to show your colours, and demanded telecom company MTS Allstream not run ads featuring speed skater Cindy Klassen during the Olympics. Two years ago, during the London Summer Games, Porter Airlines was forced to remove a Facebook illustration supporting Canadas athletes. For a time, Porters Facebook page featured its familiar black and white raccoon mascot waving and holding a torch, accompanied by the caption, Good luck to all who will be competing in the 2012 Olympics! The Globe reported that in 2004, the COC launched a high-profile battle to force the Olympia Pizza and Pasta Restaurant in Vancouver to remove signs that featured the Olympic rings and torch. The restaurant owner pledged to defy the Olympic committees demand and the signage has remained in place. NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork. Trumaine Johnson Rams Jersey .com) - Ryan Kesler tallied at the 58-second mark of overtime, just after a power play expired, giving Anaheim a 3-2 victory over San Jose at Honda Center. San Joses Brent Burns committed a high-sticking infraction in the final 67 seconds of regulation, and Antti Niemi made a lunging glove stop on Kesler with 23.8 on the clock to help get his team beyond regulation. Niemi was powerless to stop Keslers second chance, an overpowering slapshot from the left circle which rippled the net under the crossbar on the far side. He stopped me at the far post a few times. Third time is a charm, Kesler deadpanned. Rickard Rakell netted his first NHL regular-season goal and Cam Fowler also lit the lamp for the Ducks, who were coming off a 6-2 loss in Ottawa which concluded a five-game road trip. Frederik Andersen came up with 30 saves for the win. Joe Pavelski and Melker Karlsson supplied offense for the Sharks, whose five- game win streak came to a halt. Niemi stopped 29 pucks in the loss. To win in this building is tough, Sharks head coach Todd McLellan said. I think we have to take some satisfaction that we came from behind in the third. Rackells milestone occurred at the 7:20 mark of the second period, when he popped a loose puck over Niemi from atop the crease. The young Swede was only allowed near the rebound because Niemi mishandled a dump-in from the right corner by Emerson Etem which crept up his stick. It feels good. Christmas is saved, Rakell joked. Pavelskis power-play goal at two minutes even of the third period tied the game, before Karlssons first-ever goal came with 7:56 gone in the third, a harmless low drive from the right wing which somehow squeezed through Andersen. Fowler then moved up from his point position and scored on a nifty backhander in close off a Ryan Getzlaf dish for a 2-2 game with 4:16 to play. Game Notes Rakell had gone his first 46 NHL appearances spread out over the last three seasons without scoring, totaling 11 assists in the meantime ... Pavelski passed Owen Nolan for second all-time on the Sharks goal-scoring list with 207 ... Fowler participated in his 300th career game ... Both clubs are out of action until Saturday, as Anaheim heads to Arizona, while San Jose takes on Los Angeles ... Ducks defenseman Tim Jackman suffered an apparent facial injury in the second period when struck by the butt end of Sharks forward John Scotts stick and did not return. Jacob McQuaide Rams Jersey . NASHVILLE -- The Dallas Cowboys avoided an 0-2 start by bouncing back in a big way thanks to a dominating performance from DeMarco Murray and their beleaguered defence. Murray ran for 167 yards and a touchdown, Dan Bailey kicked four field goals, and the Dallas Cowboys beat the Tennessee Titans 26-10 Sunday. "DeMarco ran really well," Dallas coach Jason Garrett said. "He ran hard and he ran downhill. When you can do that, drive the football again, again and again and control the football and control the game it gives you a great chance to win." The loss spoiled Tennessee first-year coach Ken Whisenhunts home debut. The Cowboys havent started 0-2 since 2010 when Wade Phillips was fired midway through the season and Jason Garrett was promoted to head coach. They didnt come close to staying winless Sunday, jumping ahead 16-0 in the first half to kick off a two-game road swing strong. "Starting 0-2 is a very, very big hole you dont want to be in," Tony Romo said. The Dallas defence had two sacks and two interceptions that led to 10 points. Romo easily shook off his three interceptions in the season-opening loss to San Francisco. With Murray running so well, Romo was 19 of 29 for 176 yards and a TD. The Titans (1-1) struggled in all areas after winning their opener at Kansas City and missed on their first 2-0 start since 2008. "We missed tackles," Whisenhunt said. "They ran the football well. Give them credit. They did to us what we did to Kansas City last week." Dez Bryant had a 3-yard TD catch in a game where he went to the locker room after the opening drive to get his shoulder checked out. Murray lost a fumble for a second straight game but he topped 100 yards in the second quarter. He wound up averaging 5.8 yards a carry for the game. "Its still early," Murray said. "We still have a lot of work to do. ... Were headed in the right way, though." Little slowed down the Cowboys. They held the ball for 41 minutes, 11 seconds and finished with a 368-314 edge in total offence, delighting their many fans who at one point chanted "Lets Go Cowbooys" as Dallas ran out the clock. Sam Bradford Rams Jersey. Even with linebacker Justin Durant out with an injured groin and cornerback Orlando Scandrick suspended, the Cowboys got some big stops in the second half. Rolando McClain, who starred in college at Alabama, ended one Tennessee drive slipping his hand just underneath a Locker pass for an interception early in the fourth. He might have had a touchdown if not for an official whistling the play dead as an incompletion, which was overturned after a review. The Cowboys also forced the Titans to turn it over on downs after facing first-and-goal at the Dallas 6 with 6:22 left. Whisenhunt is the Titans third head coach since their last playoff berth in 2008, and hope was high for a team coming off a big win at Kansas City. It didnt last long as the Titans could not have looked much worse for the first 30 minutes. The only highlights were Jurrell Casey coming up with two of three sacks. Jake Locker, who had a 111.4 passer rating in the opener, struggled missing receivers both too short and too high. He had only 26 yards with a passer rating of 7.6 at halftime. After Barry Church intercepted a Locker pass, Murray ran four times and ran 40 yards and capped the drive by shoving the ball over the goal line on a 3-yard TD run for a 10-0 lead early in the second quarter. Bailey added field goals of 48, 44 and 51 for a 16-0 halftime lead. Tennessee finally got going scoring 10 points in the third quarter, including a 61-yard TD pass from Locker to Delanie Walker. The tight end bounced off Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne and outran defenders to the end zone for a 61-yard TD with 7:45 left. Locker finished 18 of 34 for 234 yards. "We just dug ourselves too big a hole," Locker said. Notes: Romo extended his streak with at least one TD pass to 30 straight games. ... Murray had his ninth 100-yard rushing game of his career and second straight to start this season. ... Titans CB Jason McCourty hurt his groin and missed the second half. ... Dallas now has won three of four in this series. ... Titans fall to 9-7 in home openers since 1999. NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

Kyle Walters and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers appear pleased with their 2014 CFL Draft class, but they now look to the 2013 crop to round out their rookie camp roster. http://www.socceritalyonline.com/Graziano-Pelle-UEFA-EURO-Italy-Jersey/ . TSN 1290 has learned the Blue Bombers have agreed to a contract with 2013 11th-overall draft pick Kris Robertson. Robertson, a 5-foot-9, 185-pound defensive back out of Concordia, has been working to recover from an ACL injury suffered while training soon after his selection by Winnipeg in the 2013 CFL Draft. "This past year Ive been training like a crazy man — working hard. I want to get back. I want to get on the field," said the 23-year-old while taking in this years CFL Combine as a spectator. "This is the longest Ive been off playing football since I started in Grade 10… This little break is more so a mental barrier than a physical barrier. Im just excited to get back on the field." "Im just gearing up, getting myself a lot stronger. I want to make sure Im above and beyond what I was last year." At the time, Robertson was thought of as a bit of a stretch selection when former Bombers general manager Joe Mack chose him with the second pick of the second round, but his athleticism is hard to ignore. His numbers in the 2013 Montreal regional earned him an invite to the main combine in Toronto, where he tested atop both the vertical and broad jumps, as well as recording a blazing combine-best 4.42 40-time. "Dynamite leaping ability," said Winnipeg general manager Kyle Walters this past March when describing the two-time All-Canadian kick returner. "Kris is not a very big guy, but for a little guy, his athleticism and hes a competitor. Hes like a lot of undersized football players that have had success, they become a real tenacious-type character. And he has that. Obviously his speed is his number one skill set, but hes got an aggression to him for an undersized guy. And hes got a fantastic vertical jump… Hes a really phenomenal athlete and a real tough competitor." Despite being a draft pick of the former Joe Mack regime, Robertson appears to fit in well with what Walters is doing in his new-look defensive backfield. "Kris is a unique body-type and a unique skill set," added Walters. "In hindsight it ended up being a nice fit for him with us potentially moving to a Canadian field corner. Hell be able to compete at a spot where hes got a comfort level." Robertson will compete alongside fellow non-imports Donovan Alexander and Graig Newman, who were signed as free agents in February, as well as Matt Bucknor who was acquired via trade with Hamilton in January, and 2014 fourth-round pick Derek Jones. "Im always optimistic when it comes to these things. I feel Im just ready. After watching them last year — I watched every game — it was upsetting because I feel even though I wasnt a part of the team, I feel Im part of the team. You know, you dont like to lose. I know no one likes to lose. Its upsetting, but I feel with the new coaches coming in and everything, I feel this is a good turnaround. Good things are going to happen, especially with the new acquisitions they got in free agency." "I grab my lunch pail and go to work. Thats the kind of person I am. Ill do anything I can to contribute and bring success to the field, the position, the city of Winnipeg." Antonio Candreva Jersey . The rest of the team was already on the field stretching before batting practice while Puig was getting dressed in the clubhouse. He had been slated to start in right field for the afternoon game against the San Francisco Giants, who beat the Dodgers 8-4. http://www.socceritalyonline.com/Lorenzo-De-Silvestri-UEFA-EURO-Italy-Jersey/ . It was a move of some time in the making. “He hasnt thrown well, clearly some guys are being used more than him right now and the only way to get out of this funk is to pitch,” said general manager Alex Anthopoulos. http://www.socceritalyonline.com/Luca-Antonelli-UEFA-EURO-Italy-Jersey/ . This time, Tebow was in a groove the entire second half -- not just in the waning minutes -- and his teammates on defence were getting gobbled up.BARCELONA, Spain - Former Barcelona club president Jose Nunez has lost his final appeal against a court verdict that sentenced him to two years and two months in prison after being found guilty of bribing tax inspectors.A court in Barcelona has ruled that the 83-year-old Nunez must enter prison in a period of 10 days after rejecting his appeal to remain free until the government hears his pardon request. Jon Montgomery, the gold-medal winning skeleton racer who celebrated his victory by chugging from a pitcher of beer handed to him by a fan, says his failed attempt to qualify for the Sochi Games will in all likelihood mark the end of his sliding career. "Im done. As a competitive athlete, this is the end of the road for me," Montgomery said in a telephone interview with The Canadian Press on Thursday, before later adding: "I would say 99 per cent of me is certain that I am done. "You wont see me (racing) next year or the year after and Im 99 per cent sure you wont see me trying to gain a spot for (the 2018 Winter Olympics in) Pyeongchang." The 34-year-old Montgomery was one of the stars of the Vancouver Games, memorably drinking from that pitcher on national television as he walked through a crowd of rabid Canadian fans in Whistler, B.C. But the Russell, Man., native struggled to find consistency on a new sled in the leadup to Sochi and missed out on a chance to defend his title in Russia. "Physically Im at the top of my game. Im going out faster than Ive ever been in my career but its a bit of a sacrifice to make sure that I dont get hurt," he said. "I dont know what sort of long-term damage Ive done to my brain but in terms of getting a concussion — which is a really distinct possibility, or a brain injury — I need to make the right choices based on my family." Montgomery said even had he made it to Sochi and topped the podium a second time, the emotions from Vancouver would have been difficult to repeat. "Nothing can ever replace your first Olympic gold medal," he said. "To have done that on home soil with friends and family and countrymen by my side ... you just cant top that." Although he wanted desperately to represent Canada again, Montgomery said hes been watching these Games intently. "Its the human drama that takes place in front of us every day during the Olympics," he said. "Its unbelievable. I enjoyed being part of it as an athlete and (enjoy) being part of it as a fan." Montgomery took the 2011-12 season off and found it difficult racing on the new sled he helped build from scratch when he returned to the track. He had used his previous sled for eight years, but felt it was necessary to go with new technology in order to defend his Olympic gold in Sochi. In the end, he never got that chance. "It was really frustrating because you had achieved a certain level of performance that you were used to being able to get back to week in and week out," said Montgomery. "Coonsistency is a huge part in our sport. Cheap NFL Jerseys China. You have to be very athletic to push the sled, but its more of a game of skill and touch. "Its about that feel and that muscle memory, that finite muscle control, and thats what I was struggling with — to get that feel and that touch back to my sliding game." Montgomerys path to Sochi was always going to be difficult after he failed to earn one of the three mens spots on Canadas World Cup team. He instead raced on a lower circuit where point values for results are lower, but was promoted to the World Cup team in January. He needed at least a fourth-place finish in his final race to get a third Canadian sled into the Olympics, but wound up a heart-breaking seventh. That disappointment aside, Montgomery is adamant he did everything possible to give himself the best chance at success. "I can say until the day I die that there wasnt anything that we didnt address," he said. "I built a gym in my home garage with equipment that I felt was necessary for me to get quicker, bigger, faster, stronger and that paid off. "With the equipment development end of things, unfortunately we didnt realize the goals that we had set for ourselves — we fell a little bit short. "It was mostly timing. An opportunity to get comfortable with the equipment that wed built was really where we fell short. But as far as making the choices and decisions we made, zero regrets." Montgomery became somewhat of a folk hero after the 2010 Games and was in Calgary on Thursday to promote Proctor & Gambles "Thank You, Mom" campaign for the 2014 Olympics. He and his mother, Joan, starred in a video highlighting how she helped him through some tough times early in his career prior to the Olympic gold medal. She played a similar role again when her son failed to qualify for Sochi. "My mom was there to help me pick myself up and move on with some purpose and dedication towards what happens next in life," said Montgomery, who hosted the first season of CTVs "Amazing Race Canada" last year and has signed on again for a second instalment that begins shooting in the spring. That television career will keep Montgomery in the public eye, but he will likely always be known as the Canadian Olympic champion who chugged beer with a gold medal around his neck. "Lots of great memories, lots of good friends and a lot of pride in what we were able to accomplish for ourselves as individuals and for us as a country," he said. "I havent given a formal (retirement) announcement. "I havent gone to a press conference and cried like Wayne Gretzky yet, but if that day comes Ill probably do that too." NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

Stewart-Haas Racing found all sorts of trouble at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday. Owner/driver Tony Stewart and teammate Danica Patrick got the miserable day started with blown engines in pole practice for the Daytona 500. They will have to start at the back of the field in Thursdays qualifying race and in the Feb. 23 Daytona 500. Things got worse in the Sprint Unlimited a few hours later. Stewart, Patrick, Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch were involved in a nine-car wreck in the exhibition race, knocking out three of the four SHR cars in the event that kicks off the NASCAR season. Harvick was able to return to the track but was well off the pace. "You hate to have that happen," Stewart said. "Thats just part of it. Back at Daytona." The melee started when Matt Kenseth turned in front of Joey Logano. Loganos front bumper turned Kenseths car sideways, triggering all sorts of chaos. SHR was the big loser. It looked like Patrick would wave her way through an obstacle course of wrecked cars, but she got her left-side tires on the infield grass, which got her turning sideways. And as she tried to straighten out her No. 10 Chevrolet, boyfriend Ricky Stenhouse Jr. plowed into her. "I got hit by my boyfriend. What a bummer," Patrick said. "I was sitting there and pretty much just about stopped and then I got hit. That was it. It was a real bummer. I was having fun and I felt like I was learning a lot. It was good to run with those guys. It would have been nice to get it to the end for the experience." Jeff Gordon, Brad Keselowski and Carl Edwards also were involved in the crash on the front-stretch. "Really unfortunate that so many cars are torn up, especially when it appears that I probably triggered it," Kenseth said. "I feel bad about that and feel bad that all this stuff is all torn up." SHR has to figure Speedweeks will improve from here. Stewwart, Patrick and HScott Motorsports driver Bobby Labonte had engine failures in practice, creating concern that Hendrick Motorsports might have issues. Zach Scott Jersey. Stewart, Patrick and Labonte all lease engines from Hendrick, which also fields cars for Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kasey Kahne. "Not really concerned about it," Stewart said. "Pretty confident itll be fine." Labontes engine went first. Stewarts started smoking a bit later, followed about 10 minutes later by Patricks. "I was like, Man, are we doing something?" Patrick said. "Its something that we are doing in our family here and we need to figure it out. I was saying I bet other Hendrick cars are thinking, Whats going on? So we have got time to hopefully figure it out. Definitely figure it out before the race." Though Hendrick drivers had no engine problems, Johnson, Gordon, Earnhardt and Kahne seemed to be down on horsepower. The fastest Hendrick driver during the first practice was Gordon, who was 21st on the speed chart. "We feel like we understand what is happening," Hendrick general manager Doug Duchardt said. "We will get the engines back over and tear them down from NASCAR. I think we will be able to confirm everything that is happening. ... We think we understand what is happening there and we will take a look at that." Duchardt and Scott Maxim, Hendricks director of engine track support, said they are confident the engines wont be an issue in Saturday nights Sprint Unlimited exhibition race, in qualifying Sunday, in the dual qualifying races next Thursday or in the Daytona 500. "Moving forward, we will be all right," Maxim said. "We will identify what weve got and we will make changes needed, and I think that we will be able to make corrective action. We will be able to look the engines over closely and make sure that we are not going into (Sunday) with an issue. Then after that, we will be all good." NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

PITTSBURGH -- Trevor Rosenthal didnt panic and neither did his manager, Mike Matheny. Connor Randall Jersey . Rosenthal, the St. Louis Cardinals closer, got into a major ninth-inning jam, allowed the Pittsburgh Pirates to draw within a run and then load the bases with none out. It seemed the Pirates, who lead the major leagues with five walkoff victories, were on the verge of doing it again. However, Rosenthal escaped the jam for his 10th save and Shelby Miller won his fourth straight start as the Cardinals held on for a 6-5 win Sunday night. "That felt like a walk-off win right there," Matheny said with a relieved smile. "That was beyond impressive what Trevor was able to do there at the end to get it back together. Thats why he is pitching at the end of games." Rosenthal survived an RBI single by Andrew McCutchen to notch his 10th save as the Cardinals avoided their first three-game losing streak of the season. He got Ike Davis to foul out for the first out then induced Jordy Mercer to hit into a 1-2-3 double play to end it. "I just wanted to throw a fastball low in the zone and either get him to hit it on the ground or strike out," Rosenthal said. "It couldnt have worked out any better, though Im sure the rest of the guys in this clubhouse wish I could have got the job done sooner." Allen Craig and Yadier Molina had two hits each, including RBI singles in a four-run first inning. Craig went 5-for-11 in the three-game series after entering with a .202 batting average. Molina was 0-for-12 in his previous four games. "Hopefully, this is a spark," Matheny said. "Weve been looking for that thing that can get us clicking." Miller (5-2) walked four and allowed four hits in 5 1-3 innings, but held the Pirates to just two runs -- which came on Mercers first home run of the season in the fourth inning. "I didnt have much but I gave it what I got and fortunately it was enough to help us get a win," Miller said. Charlie Morton (0-5) was charged with only one earned run of the four he allowed over six innings but remained winless since Sept. 2, a span of 14 starts. He also fell to 2-10 in his career against the Cardinals. "I just tried to get back out there and put up zeroes after that first inning," Morton said. "We kept chipping away and we almost pulled it out but I cant give up four runs there, especially in the first inning. It put us in a bad spot from the start." Pittsburghs Pedro Alvarez had three hits. Jon Jay also has two hits for St. Louis as did Tony Sanchez for the Pirates, whose season-best four-game winning streak ended. Mark Ellis also had an RBI single in the first inning for St. Louis and Craig added a sacrifice fly. Asdrubal Cabrera had four hits and three RBIs, Michael Brantley also homered and the Indians beat the injury-riddled Minnesota Twins 9-4 Thursday for their first three-game winning streak this season. Cleveland went 5-2 on a homestand that followed an 0-6 trip to San Francisco and the Los Angeles Angels. "Were still inconsistent at some things, but were doing a lot of things better than we were," manager Terry Francona said. "Were playing with a little more confidence, a little more purpose. ... Its just a little better feel." Cabrera, who entered hitting .215, had a solo homer in the second inning and RBI doubles in the seventh and eighth. He also singled in the fifth. "Shows how smart I was, I was going to give him the day off," Francona said. "He talked me out of it." Cabrera declined to talk with reporters after the game. Francona thought he should have been credited with a triple in his final at-bat, which would have given him a cycle. Brantley hit a two-run homer in the fifth and had an RBI grounder in the sixth. He also doubled and scored in the first, then singled in the third. "Hittings contagious," Brantley said. "It was fun to be a part of." Justin Masterson (2-1) allowed four runs -- two earned -- four hits and four walks in 6 1-3 innings. Kevin Correia (1-4) gave up four runs, eight hits and four walks in 4 1-3 innings for the Twins. Conor Masterson Liverpool Jersey. "Were looking for nine right now, nine people that can play," manager Ron Gardenhire said. Shortstop Eduardo Escobar was forced to play the outfield for the second straight day and struggled again. He misjudged a fly ball in left field in the ninth inning Wednesday night that led to Cleveland scoring the winning run. Brantley doubled with two outs in the first Thursday, advanced on ball four to Carlos Santana and David Murphy hit a line drive directly at Escobar. Escobar froze, then broke back too late to make the catch as the ball landed on the warning track. Brantley scored, but Santana was out on a relay throw to the plate. Escobar dropped Lonnie Chisenhalls sinking line drive in the seventh, but avoided an error by throwing to second to force Ryan Raburn, who had held up to see whether the ball would be caught. Cabrera led off the second with a home run. Brantleys homer scored Nick Swisher, who started the fifth with a walk. Cleveland (15-19) headed to Tampa Bay for the start of a series. The Indians are 4-11 away from home. "Weve got to play really well," Francona said. "Were going to a tough place to play." PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. Jason Pierre-Paul Giants Jersey . -- The wind was so strong, the conditions so demanding, that Jimmy Walker felt like Saturday at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am was competing against the golf course instead of the rest of the field. Golfs hottest player wound beating them both. Walker finally made his first bogey of the tournament, and that was only a nuisance. He ran off five birdies at Monterey Peninsula for a 4-under 67, the best score of a blustery day, giving him a six-shot lead going into the final round. Walker went 187 starts on the PGA Tour without winning. He now has a chance to win for the third time in his last eight tournaments. He won the Frys.com Open last fall about an hour away at CordeValle. He won for the second time this season last month in Honolulu. In both those tournaments, Walker was trailing going into the last day. This time, he has the largest 54-hole lead at Pebble Beach since Phil Mickelson led by seven in 2005. Mickelson went on to win by four shots. "Ive never had whatever big lead this is going into the last round," Walker said. "Just go out and hit good shots and play good golf and see what happens." He was at 13-under 202. Tim Wilkinson of New Zealand had a 69 and Hunter Mahan had a 72, both at Monterey Peninsula. They were at 208. Havoc happened on Saturday on all three courses, particularly at Pebble Beach. The third round was not completed because of a delay lasting 2 hours, 19 minutes due to gusts at 30 mph that made golf balls roll off the green, mostly at Pebble Beach. In a three-course rotation, play has to be stopped at all three courses. The average score at Pebble Beach was just over 75. Jordan Spieth caught the brunt of it. Tied with Walker going into the third round, Spieth was 5-over through 15 holes when the round was halted by darkness. That included a pair of three-putts on the front nine when he went out in 40, and another three-putt from 18 feet. Spieth missed an 8-foot birdie putt on the 16th hole, and then chose to mark the 5-foot par putt he had coming back. Walker opened with a 66 at Pebble Beach when it was calm, the best time to play it. That doesnt mean he was off the hook on the Shore Course at Monterey Peninsula. He just had to play his best, and he did. On the par-3 ninth, typically a 6-iron, Walker smashed a 5-wood into the wind and couldnt reach the green. He made one birdie with an 8-iron from 140 yards, and was hitting 4-iron that went only about 165 yards. "It just feels like a battle," Walker said. "Youre not battling really anybody else. Youre not battling the field or a tournament. Youre just out there trying. The golf course is trying to beat you up." Richard Lee had a 72 at Spyglass Hill and was alone in fourth at 209. Phil Mickelson had a 71 at Spyglass and was among those eight shots behind. Only three players broke par at Pebble -- none better than Dustin Johnsons 70. Brendon Todd looked as if he might have one of those rounds until bogeys on the last two holes. "Nine and 10 are par 5s today. I couldnt reach either one," Todd said. "There were no birdie holes out there." Play was stopped about an hour after the last group teed off. It was a peculiar sight to see clouds gathering on the Pacific horizon, and officials trying to spray water on the greens to help balls stay on the putting surface. It didnt work. And when play resumed, Brian Gay was given relief on the fourth green at Pebble Beach because of standing water left from hosing down the greens. He was able to move his ball some 15 feet to the other side of the green. But the big trouble was the wind. Kevin Chappells approach to the par-3 fifth sailed over the cliff, and he ambled down toward the beach to play the shot. The par-5 sixth at Pebble, usually reachable with a long iron, was a true three-shot hole. On the 109-yard, downhill seventh hole into the wind, the club of choice was a chip 8-iron. It was most difficult with the putting -- being able to stand over the ball, trying to hit it as it wobbled and judging the speed. Geoff Ogilvy three-putted from 3 feet twice in a three-hole stretch on his way to an 81. Spieth had a pair of three-putts that sent him tumbling out of contention. The worst was on the ninth, when he gunned his 12-footer for par about 4 feet by the hole, sent the next one 5 feet by on the other side and raised his arms in mock triumph when he made the third one. D.A. Points might have had the best time. His score didnt count. Points was disqualified Friday for using a sponge ball as a training device while waiting on the 18th tee. He returned Saturday to contribute to the pro-am side of the competition with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. The team shot 77 and missed the cut. "It meant an enormous amount to me," Rice said. "He didnt have to do that. It speaks really well for him and for the tour that he came out played, anyway." Olivier Vernon Giants Jersey . JOHNS, N. BERLIN -- Thiago Alcantara scored with an acrobatic scissor kick in injury time for Bayern Munich to beat Stuttgart 2-1 and extend its Bundesliga lead to 13 points on Wednesday. Thiago launched himself at Rafinhas cross to volley the ball inside the far corner from a difficult angle in the third minute of stoppage time in the sides rescheduled game. Bayern substitute Claudio Pizarro scored with a header from Thiagos free kick in the 76th minute, cancelling out Vedad Ibisevics 29th-minute opener for the home side. "We played a really good game and deserved at least a point," Stuttgart coach Thomas Schneider said. Stuttgart had a penalty appeal waved away in the 12th, when Timo Werners shot came back off Rafinhas arm, minutes after the 17-year-olds first effort was blocked by the scampering Bayern defence. Bayern had reason to complain about the opening goal as the offside-positioned Mohammed Abdellaoue was last to touch the ball before Ibisevic tucked it away. The visitors only real chance of the first half fell to Thiago, whose fierce efffort from distance was tipped over by Sven Ulreich. Brad Wing Giants Jersey. Jerome Boateng had to clear Rani Khediras volley off the line as the home side continued to enjoy the better chances in the second half, until Bayern brought on Pizarro and Mario Mandzukic on the hour. Ulreichs outstretched leg denied Thiago in the 71st, and then Thomas Mueller three minutes later, before Pizarro finally equalized to preserve Bayerns record 43-game unbeaten run in the Bundesliga. "It felt like a win but in the end you have nothing," Stuttgart defender Konstantin Rausch said. Thiagos spectacular late winner had a championship-winning feel. Bayern has won 16 of its 18 games and drawn the other two. "When its 1-1 two minutes before the end then (winning) is always lucky," Bayern captain Philipp Lahm said. "We werent as effective as usual. But in the second half the team showed we can be patient and score at the right time." The game had been rescheduled last month to allow Bayern take part in the Club World Cup, which it won. NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

Michael Schumachers doctors have started the process of bringing the former Formula One champion out of the coma he has been in since a skiing accident a month ago, his manager said Thursday. Mike Grella Jersey . The 45-year-old Schumacher suffered serious head injuries when he fell and hit the right side of his helmet on a rock in the French resort of Meribel on Dec. 29. The seven-time F1 champion has been in an induced coma in Grenoble University Hospital since then, although his condition stabilized following surgery after initially being described as critical. And now doctors are slowly trying to wake him up. "Michaels sedation is being reduced in order to allow the start of the waking up process which may take a long time," Schumachers manager, Sabine Kehm, said in a statement. One reason for reducing the sedation is to see if the swelling has gone down in the patients brain and to assess what level of functions has been retained. Kehm said she was only providing an update now on Schumachers condition to clarify media leaks, and that no further details would be provided. French newspaper lEquipe first reported on Wednesday that doctors had started waking Schumacher. "The family of Michael Schumacher is again requesting to respect its privacy and the medical secret, and to not disturb the doctors treating Michael in their work," Kehm said. "At the same time, the family wishes to express sincere appreciation for the worldwide sympathy. ... For the protection of the family, it was originally agreed by the interested parties to communicate this information only once this process was consolidated. Please note that no further updates will be given." Schumacher was being kept artificially sedated and his body temperature was lowered to between 34 and 35 degrees Celsius (93.2 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit), to reduce swelling in the brain, reduce its energy consumption and allow it to rest. Schumacher earned universal acclaim for his uncommon and sometimes ruthless driving talent, which led to a record 91 race wins. He retired from Formula One in 2012 after garnering an unmatched seven world titles. Schumi, as his fans affectionately call him, was famously aggressive on the track and no less intense away from driving. In retirement, he remained an avid skydiver, horseback rider, and skier. The accident happened on a family vacation in the Alps as Schumacher was skiing with his 14-year-old son. Chris Duvall Jersey . Louis Blues have returned to the top spot in the TSN. Weaver and Poje, both from Waterloo, Ont., finished first in the ice dancing free skate with 101.64 points for a combined 163.14 points in the Russian event. The pair scored 61.50 points for their performance in the short program on Friday. Earlier, Kirsten Moore-Towers of St. Catharines, Ont., and Dylan Moscovitch of Toronto took bronze in the pairs program to also qualify for the Japan final. Poje says he and Weaver used their disappointing short dance score as motivation heading into Saturdays event. "After not having the most positive score on the short dance we wanted to make sure we came back and showed that we have a strong free dance ... and I feel like we did that," he said. "We didnt achieve a seasons best score, but we achieved a season-best performance for us." Weaver and Poje missed out on qualifying for the ISU Grand Prix Final last year. Now that theyve secured their spot in this years event, Weaver says that means "everything." "Its the last time the judges are going to see us before the Olympics," she said. "We want to leave a lasting impression and show that we are every bit eligible for that Olympic podium. "The best teams in the world will be at that final and thats our shot to measure ourselves up against them and see where we stand two short months before the Games. (SportsNetwork. Garrett Grayson Saints Jersey .com) - The playoffs start early in The Big Easy on Sunday when the New Orleans Saints play host to the Atlanta Falcons in a game that will go a long way in determining who represents the downtrodden NFC South in the postseason. The Saints lead the NFLs worst division at 6-8 with two games to play but both Carolina (5-8-1) and Atlanta (5-9) remain in the mix with NOLA and the Falcons controlling their own destinies. If either the Saints or the Falcons can win out, they will win the division and host a first-round playoff game. After this contest New Orleans will close the regular season at Tampa Bay in Week 17, while Atlanta will host the Panthers. Carolina, meanwhile, entertains Johnny Manziel and Cleveland this week and needs to win their final two games and have the Saints lose once to repeat as division champions. New Orleans can clinch the South for the first time since 2011 with a victory over the Falcons and a Carolina loss to the Browns. It sets us up for no bigger game than whats coming up against Atlanta, Saints quarterback Drew Brees said. We all understand where were at, Atlanta coach Mike Smith countered. We know we control our own destiny. It doesnt matter what anyone else does. The first thing we have to do is go down and play very well and win the game in New Orleans. The Saints took over first place for now thanks to an impressive 31-15 win over the stumbling Bears in Chicago on Monday night. Brees threw three touchdown passes in what was his 200th career game, completing 29-of-36 passes for 375 yards and setting an NFL record with his ninth straight season with at least 4,000 yards passing. I think theres a sense of urgency that we need to create each week, and we need to be mindful of how important that edge is to play well, Saints coach Sean Payton said. Josh Hill caught two scores, Marques Colston finished with five catches for 65 yards and a touchdown and Mark Ingram ran for a late score. We were pretty balanced and able to make some plays in the passing game, said Brees. It was a great team effort. The Falcons, meanwhile, suffered their second straight tough loss against a prolific offense, losing to Pittsburgh 27-20 as LeVeon Bell scored twice and set the Steelers franchise record for yards from scrimmage. Bell did not find much running room against an uncharacteristically stingy Atlanta front, but he did reach the end zone twice among 20 carries for 47 yards. He also made five catches for 72 yards and broke Barry Fosters single- season Steelers record for yards from scrimmage with 2,042. Matt Ryan threw for 310 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for the Falcons, who were coming off a 43-37 shootout loss in Green Bay. Harry Douglas filled in admirably for an injured Julio Jones, making 10 catches for 131 yards. Jones, who was coming off a career-high 259 yards against the Packers, was unable to play through a hip pointer injury he suffered late in a loss to the Packers. We felt we had lots of chances to have a different outcome, said Smith. Atlanta leads the all-time series by a 47-43 margin, including a 37-34 overtime win back in September at the Georgia Dome when Ryan threw for a franchise-record 448 yards and three TDs, and Matt Bryant booted a game- winning 52-yard field goal in the extra frame. WHAT TO WATCH FOR Brees has been the Falcons biggest nemesis ever since he came to New Orleans from San Diego back in 2006. The veteran signal caller has amassed a 7-1 mark over Atlanta in the Superdome, compiling a stellar 103.8 passer rating in those contests. Of course Atlanta is hardly the only team that has had a difficult time containing Brees, who leads NFL with 43,091 passing yards and 314 TD passes since he took over the Saints. The veteran destroyed the Bears, who rank 31st in the NFL in passing defense, on Monday night and the Falcons have the only secondary giving up more yardage than Chicago, a league-worst 292.5 yards per game. I think weve shown a couple times we can handle adversity, lets make sure we can handle success, too, Brees said. The tendency after success is to relax, and its not time to relax. Brees threw for 333 yards in the loss in Atlanta earlier this season but was outdone by Ryans Herculean performance, which may have to happen again here. Ryan has been putting up big numbers recently, tossing for 1,046 yards and eight TDs over the last three weeks but has also been throwing the game- changing pick at inopportune times. We know whats in front of us, Ryan said. We know what weve got to do. Its a playoff-type mentality. Weve got to win next week. Weve got to have the best week of practice that weve had this year and prepare as best we can. Getting Jones, perhaps the best receiver in all of football, back should help. The All-Pro is second in the NFL with 1,428 receiving yards despite missing last weeks game. Its tough when (Jones is) not in, Ryan said. Hes such a special player. New Orleans defense hasnt been much better than the Falcons this season but did show a little life in Chicago, stopping a four-game string in which they had allowed at least 400 yards. The Saints stop unit limited Jay Cutler and Co. to 278 total yards while amassing seven sacks and three interceptions. OVERALL ANALYSIS Facing a Payton-coached team in the Superdome used to foreshadow certain demise but the Saints 19-game run with the veteran coach on the sideline in NOLA ended against San Francisco on Nov. 8. Since then the Saints have lost three more in what used to be their cozy confines. Conversely they have won their only two on the road over that span. Translation: you never know what to expect with this New Orleans team. If anything, though, the Falcons are even less consistent and just dont have the horses on defense to contend with Brees. You want to be playing for a lot at the end of the season and we are right now, Brees said. No bigger game than the one coming up. German qualifier Bjorn Phau beat Dudi Sela of Israel to reach his first semifinals in nearly five years. TORONTO -- Dwane Casey saw it as a sign of maturity on the part of his young team. After a first half in which he thought "the lid was on the basket," the Toronto Raptors coach watched his squad mount a second half surge to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers 98-91. "Thats another step in our growth," Casey said after Friday nights win at Air Canada Centre. "Last year at this time, if wed have missed shots like that wed have caved in. "But we kept grinding it, grinding it, grinding it and thats what you have to do when the shots arent falling." The Raptors (30-25) shot a woeful 32.7 per cent from the field in the first half and trailed 44-39. But, with second-year centre Jonas Valanciunas leading the way, Toronto shot an impressive 16-for 23, or 69.5 per cent, in the third quarter on the way to winning their fourth game in five starts. "We said we need to pick it up, we need to come out with energy," Valanciunas, who finished with 18 points and eight rebounds, said of the talk in the locker room at halftime. "Thats what it was all about. "We shot really bad the first half but we did a better job the second half and thats what matters." Valanciunas scored 10 of his 14 second-half points in the third quarter, including five in a row during a 4:07 stretch that saw the Raptors turn a one-point deficit into a 10-point lead. Second-year guard Terrence Ross had a team-high 20 points as the Raptors snapped the Cavaliers (22-34) six-game winning streak and widened their lead to 3-1/2 games over the idle Brooklyn Nets atop the NBAs Atlantic Division. With the win, the Raptors equalled the third-fastest time theyve reached the 30-win mark in team history, just one game off the best mark of 54 games in both the 2009-10 and 2007-08 seasons. The Raptors, who have missed the playoffs in each of the past five seasons, diidnt win their 30th game until their 78th outing last year. Willie Snead Saints Jersey. Although Ross led the Raptors in scoring, it was his defensive play against Cleveland guard Kyrie Irving, who was named MVP of last weekends NBA All-Star Game, that drew rave reviews from his teammates. "Defensively, hes always been impressive, and hes getting better," Toronto guard Kyle Lowry said after Irving was held to 3-for-16 shooting on his way to 17 points. "I told him that on the bench tonight." Lowry had 14 points, nine assists and six rebounds. DeMar DeRozan added 14 points and five assists. Clevelands Luol Deng led all scorers with 21 points and added 11 rebounds while Tristan Thompson of Brampton, Ont., added 13 points and nine assists and Anthony Bennett, also from Brampton, who last spring became the first Canadian to ever go first overall in the NBA draft, had nine points in his first game here. "We just had to pick up our defensive intensity," Ross said of the message delivered at halftime. "The biggest thing, we were coming out, playing too lackadaisical and we had to pick that up." Toronto outscored Cleveland 37-21 in the third quarter to take control. Valanciunas made a layup with 7:22 to go in the quarter to put the Raptors up for good at 53-52. After Valanciunas and Amir Johnson combined for just four points in the first half, Casey said he gave the big men "a wake-up call" going into the second half and they responded at both ends of the court. "We reminded them theres more to the game than the offensive end," Casey said. "You can get rebounds. You can get back in transition. You can challenge shots and you can go vertical. "You can do a lot of different things other than make shots and I thought the second half (they) worked at it and got it done." NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

SAN FRANCISCO -- The San Francisco 49ers are keeping another key member of their ball-hawking defence for the long haul. Charles Sims Buccaneers Jersey . The reigning NFC champions have signed cornerback Tramaine Brock to a $16 million, four-year contract extension that takes him through the 2017 season. The deal includes $7 million in guaranteed money. The Niners (6-4) announced the deal late Friday, and Brock is expected to move into the starting lineup for Monday nights game at Washington in place of the injured Tarell Brown. It would be the second career start for Brock after he also started against Houston on Oct. 6. Brock has shined in an increased role this season, making a team-leading four interceptions to go with 18 tackles. "Tramaine is a great example of what hard work and dedication can lead to," 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said in a statement. "He has taken advantage of his opportunities since signing with our team as an undrafted free agent in 2010 and has certainly earned this extension. Extending the contracts of our young and talented players has always been, and will continue to be, one of our primary goals." He had 16 tackles and a forced fumble last season and shared the team lead with 15 tackles on special teams. His primary role was a special-teams standout until he has recently received more responsibility in the secondary. The 25-year-old Brock made two interceptions in 11 games in 2011. He signed a one-year tender in April for this season. Baalke and coach Jim Harbaugh have worked to retain their talented young players for the long haul, something they feel is essential to sustaining the franchises recent success. The 49ers talented linebacking corps of NaVorro Bowman, Patrick Willis, Ahmad Brooks and Aldon Smith are signed long-term. Last November, Bowman received a five-year contract extension through the 2018 season, Willis is signed through 2016, Brooks through 2017 and Smith through 2015. Cornerback Carlos Rogers received a $31.3 million, four-year contract in March 2012. With Brock now signed for the immediate future, the 49ers can allow Chris Culliver -- the teams No. 3 cornerback last season -- plenty of time to recover from a season-ending knee injury suffered in August during training camp. Brown sustained a rib injury during last Sundays 23-20 loss at New Orleans. "Hes just got to be ready to play every play not knowing hes got built in breaks when were in base like he had for the first however many games he was playing," defensive co-ordinator Vic Fangio said Friday of Brock. "There is a change, but its just got to be a mental adjustment for him." PETERSBURG, Fla. TORONTO -- Julio Cesar is the newest member of Toronto FC. The Brazilian goalkeeper signed a loan deal with the Major League Soccer club on Friday as he looks to get playing time ahead of this summers World Cup in his home country. The 34-year-old Cesar has been relegated to a backup role with second-tier English club Queens Park Rangers and will join Toronto for the start of the 2014 season. General manger Tim Bezbatchenko would not confirm details of the loan agreement, but it is expected that Cesar will be back with Toronto following the World Cup. "We (found) an agreement, between me, QPR and my agent," said Cesar. "My agent ... they were talking with them. We just (found) the best agreement between everyone so thats the reason I can sign with (Toronto)." Toronto FC head coach Ryan Nelsen is a former teammate of Cesars at QPR and had a big hand in acquiring the goalkeeper. "I keep in contact with a lot of ex-players and it was out of that an opportunity potentially that could arise that we could bring Julio here," said Nelsen. "As soon as I got a sniff of that, it didnt take long to register how important it would be to have a man like that." Cesar lost his starting role with QPR to England international Rob Green once the Hoops were relegated from the Premiere League last season and has appeared in just one game for the club this season. Cesar, who has earned 77 caps for Brazil, won the Copa America in 2004 and the Confederations Cup on two occasions. Before his stint at QPR, he also played at Inter Milan, where he won five Italian league titles. Additionally, he has won three Coppa Italia titles, the 2010 UEFA Champions League and the 2010 Club World Cup. As for his first impressions of TFCs training facility in north Toronto, Cesar was amazed. "Thee first thing when I arrive here, I asked to visit the training grounds. Mike James Buccaneers Jersey. I need to be honest here, I was impressed," he said. "Its much better than many, many clubs in Europe that I have had the opportunity to know. Its an amazing training ground, you have everything. You can do good work here." Cesar joins a TFC lineup that has undergone a radical shift this off-season, including the acquisition of England striker Jermain Defoe, American midfielder Michael Bradley, fellow Brazilian Gilberto Oliveira Souza Junior and former MLS MVP Dwayne De Rosario. Gilberto, 24, just missed out on an opportunity to play with childhood idol, and fellow Brazilian star, Ronaldo, and is looking forward to playing in front of Cesar. "Im going to play with another legend and Im definitely looking forward to that," he said through a translator. "(Cesars) played with the best strikers in the world ... and I have nothing but things to learn from him." The signing of Cesar moves fellow goalkeeper Joe Bendik, who had a 6-16-11 record in 2013, to the backup role for the 2014 season. "Im only looking at it as a win-win situation. He comes in and I get to learn from a legend," said the 24-year-old Bendik. "Im going to compete with him every day and off the field, Ill pick his brain for just about any piece of knowledge I can get. Seeing a guy whose played in a couple World Cups, hes won champions league. "You can only learn so much from him so its a win-win situation for the club and for myself." Added Nelson: "When you have the opportunity to ply your trade day-in and day-out beside a man whos obviously done what (Cesars) done, the age that he is and the experience that hell be able to give to Joe you cant tell how valuable that is." OTTAWA -- The Edmonton Eskimos spent the past seven days in Ottawa and waited until the last possible moments to leave as ungracious guests. Ben Jones Titans Jersey . A 27-yard field goal by Grant Shaw with 20 seconds remaining in the game gave the Eskimos a 10-8 win over the Ottawa Redblacks Friday night. After a 33-23 win over the Alouettes in Montreal last Friday, the Eskimos moved onto Ottawa where they stayed in preparation and anticipation of their game against the Redblacks. The Eskimos drove from their own nine-yard line in the dying minutes after recovering a fumble as the Redblacks were looking to get some insurance points late in the fourth quarter. "I was just doing my job and all the credit goes to the offence at the end and they put together a drive that put us in short field goal range and those should be automatic," Shaw said. "It was definitely a defensive battle and both offences struggled to find the end zone, but thats just how it goes sometimes. I cant wait to get back to my wife and get back to my own home. Ottawas been fun but were all excited to go home." A Hail Mary pass on the final play of the game was batted down by the Edmonton defence to give the Eskimos (6-1) their second win in a row. The Redblacks (1-6), who got two field goals and two singles from kicker Brett Maher, led from the opening drive of the game but still saw their losing slide hit four games. Maher collected all his points in the first half as the Redblacks defence put in their best performance of the year in not allowing an Edmonton touchdown. "Our whole defensive backfield, all six guys, were first-year CFL guys so I was proud of them with stepping up and not being phased in the moment," Redblacks coach Rick Campbell said. "I am proud of our guys. They work hard, theyre trying to do the right things and thats kind of our formula of the way to play football to be competitive and give ourselves a chance to win games, to stay away from penalties, to play well on special teams and obviously we want to get it to where we can win a game." There were several key plays in the second half, including an interception, fumble and turnover on downs by the Eskimos, but none was bigger than the Redblacks first turnover of the game. "Weve had the same situation happen and its frustrating," said Redblacks quarterback Henry Burris, who was 18-for-28 passing for 255 yards to surpass 53,000 career passing yards. "Not finishing drives and little mental mistakes has been killing us. It was visible the things we did on offence moving the ball against a great defence, but when you dont finish all drives and you let a good team like them hang around theyre going to find a way to win in the end." Edmonton quarterback Mike Reilly completed 26 of 35 passes for 271 yards and an interception. A 28-yard field goal from Shaw was the only scoring of the third quarter and it pulled the Eskimos to within a single point of the Redblacks at 8-7. After some missed opportunities the Eskimos looked poised to take their first lead of the game, but a third-and-one gamble on the Ottawa 12-yard line could not be converted as Pat White was brought down an inch short. The Redblacks took over on downs and were aided by a roughing the passer call that kept the drive alive. That drive though, that stared on their own 12, ended on the Eskimos nine-yard line with the Matt Carter fumble. The Eskimos then drove the field for the winning score. "The win last week against Montreal we played great in the first half and then we didnt play well in the second half," Eskimos coach Chris Jones said. "Tonight we struggled with some of the same things that hurt us earlier in the year, meaning penalties, fumbling the football, throwing interceptions, so weve got something we really have to clean up." The win would have been sweet redemption for the Redblacks, who fell 27-11 to the Eskimos back in Week 3. The first half of Fridays game played out similarly to the first half of the game in Edmonton back on July 11. The Redblacks led 7-2 at the midway point that night and went into the half Friday with an 8-4 lead. Maher gave the Redblacks a 1-0 advantage on the first drive of the game with a single on a missed 51-yard field goal attempt. He redeemed himself with a 17-yard field goal late in the first quarter. The Eskimos got their first point of the game on a 52-yard punt single from Shaw just 42 seconds into the second quarter. After Maher connected on a 20-yard field goal to give the Redblacks a 7-1 lead, Shaw returned the favour with a 39-yard field goal of his own to make it a three-point game once again. The footwork wasnt finished there though as Maher had another single, this one off a 60-yard punt. The Eskimos tried for a 50-yard field goal late but it was wide and run out of the end zone to end the half. Jurrell Casey Titans Jersey . The Canadian defensive tackle suffered the injury on Monday and had tests done on Tuesday. He was a potential starter on the defensive line but head coach Mike OShea said he wasnt even thinking about the ratio when he got the news. Derrick Henry Titans Jersey . The judge sternly instructed the prosecutor to restrain himself and he apologized -- then went right back to trying to pick holes in the testimony of the double-amputee runner. It was a harsh day of cross-examination for Pistorius, challenged relentlessly about his account of the moments just before he killed Reeva Steenkamp, as well as circumstances related to several firearms charges against him, including the firing of a gun in a crowded restaurant. http://www.thetitansfansclub.com/Black-Friday-Sean-Spence-Jersey/ .C. -- The RBC Cups semifinal participants were decided by a pair of overtime games.MONTREAL -- The Boston Bruins just couldnt bury their chances. On a night when Boston was looking close out the series, the Bruins made a hash of numerous opportunities in a 4-0 loss to the Montreal Canadiens in Game 6 on Monday night. The Bruins hit posts and crossbars, missed open nets, blew odd-man rushes and couldnt capitalize on key chances throughout the game. Most noteworthy was a frenetic 5:11 sequence of uninterrupted play in the second period during which the Bruins penned Montreal in its own zone for more than two minutes. With the Bruins down 1-0 early in the second period, and their power play expiring, Boston took advantage of tired Habs legs to play keepaway with Montreal in the offensive zone. The Bruins peppered the net with shots, but couldnt take advantage of the unrelenting pressure. "We were all around the net, getting a lot of chances. And then they scored that second one," said Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron. "It definitely took the momentum out of us. Its about finishing the job, and we have to be a lot better." On the sequence, Carl Soderberg took two shots on Carey Price, and had another two blocked by Canadiens defenceman Mike Weaver. Brad Marchand missed the net, Jarome Iginla was stopped by Price and Kevan Miller had a chance blocked by P.K. Subban. The Bruins took a total four shots on net, had three shots blocked and missed the net once. "If we capitalize on a chance there, its a different game," said Milan Lucic, who was also denied by Price on the sequence. "Were not frustrated with what happened here today because we established some pretty good zone time." Price made 26 saves for his fourth career post-season shutout. One of his best of the evening was on Lucic during Bostons dominant spell. Lucic was fed the puck across the crease, but Price made it back in time to rob the left-winger. "Bouncing puck, I overshot it," said Lucic. "It was one of those plays thaat you put in nine out of 10 times. Blidi Wreh-Wilson Titans Jersey. . Today was that one that you didnt get. You get the same opportunity next game, you have to make sure that you bury it." Minutes later, Max Pacioretty scored his second of the playoffs on a breakaway to double the Canadiens lead. Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask left his net to intercept a stretch pass by Nathan Beaulieu on the play, but changed his mind and retreated back between the posts. The moment of uncertainty was enough for Pacioretty to fire home a shot between Rasks pads. "I kind of hesitated," said Rask, who let in four goals on 28 shots. "I didnt want to get burned. Me and Zdeno (Chara) got caught looking at each other. I thought he was going to dive, and he thought I was going to play it. Just another gift." Thomas Vanek, whos particularly successful against the Bruins with 67 points in 61 career games, added a goal at the end of the second period and another at the end of the third. The Bruins have now failed to clinch a playoff series in Game 6 on the road for the fourth time in five seasons. Game 7 goes Wednesday night in Boston. "Its one game, winner moves on," said Lucic. "You know its not going to be easy. You fought all season-long to get the home ice advantage for situations like this. "Were confident. Weve been a confident group all year long. Weve played well in big games. This is the biggest one so far throughout the year. We have to bring our best when we need it the most. Thats the most important thing." Notes: The Canadiens are now 4-1 at the Bell Centre in these playoffs. Their only home loss was the 1-0 overtime defeat to the Bruins in Game 4. a The Canadiens are 5-3 all-time against the Bruins in the seventh game of a playoff series. a The Bruins made no changes to the lineup that beat Montreal 4-2 in Game 5 on Saturday. a The team that scores first has won every game in this series.
