BOSTON -- Jabari Parker put on a show for both college and NBA fans in Boston. Jonathan Isaac Magic Jersey . The freshman sensation set career highs with 29 points and 16 rebounds, Quinn Cook hit five 3-pointers and scored 21 points, and No. 11 Duke coasted to an 89-68 win over Boston College on Saturday night. "Jabari was a monster today with the amount of rebounds and points," Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said. "He wasnt rewarded on the offensive boards with some of his finishes or it could have been a 35-, 36-point game." Parker shot 12 of 17 from the floor, getting baskets mostly from drives and dunks as the Eagles tried a number of different defences against him. "Jabari was really difficult to handle for anyone tonight," Krzyzewski said. "We just tried to give him some different looks. He got quite a bit in transition." With subtle cheers going up along with "oohs" when he did something exciting, Parker became the main focus of many in the crowd. There were a large number of Duke fans and, very likely, a good number of Boston Celtics fans interested in getting a live look at Parker as the local NBA franchise looks to rebuild quickly through the draft after dealing veteran stars Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to Brooklyn last summer. Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge sat courtside. "Ive seen him a lot growing up. I think the thing you dont realize on tape is, he has an extra pop," BC coach Steve Donahue said. "Its 6-8, 235 (pounds). Its an extra quickness that you dont see even in this league, and extra explosiveness." Rasheed Sulaimon added 10 points for the Blue Devils (19-5, 8-3 Atlantic Coast Conference). Parker extended his Duke freshman record to 14 games with 20 points or more. "I didnt see a lot of Duke fans," Parker said when asked if he heard the crowds reaction to some of his plays. "I guess they showed me a little excitement, a little joy." He was reminded of where Ainge was sitting late in the game by teammate Nick Pagliuca, whose father, Steve, is a managing partner of the Celtics. Olivier Hanlan led Boston College (6-17, 2- with 25 points and Ryan Anderson had 12. The Eagles have dropped 10 of 12, with their only conference wins coming against last-place Virginia Tech. The Blue Devils put it away with an 18-0 run midway through the second half, improving to 18-2 against unranked teams this season. "We wanted to pick up the defensive intensity," Cook said. "Hanlan was kind of having his way in the first half." That defensive intensity, along with Parker, was much more than BC could handle. "Hes a great player. To be so young as a freshman and to be so physically gifted as he is, a lot of things he does is mental," Anderson said. "He just reads the game really well. He played really well tonight." Following a solid first half, Parker scored 12 of Dukes initial 17 points after halftime as the Blue Devils opened a 56-44 lead on his three-point play with just under 14 minutes to go. He had a baseline jam on the first possession and followed that with a three-point play when he was fouled on a fast-break layup, pushing Dukes lead to 44-35. He added a fast-break dunk, two free throws and another three-point play. Following Andersons free throw that cut it to 44-38, Sulaimon nailed a 3 from the right wing, giving the Blue Devils their first double-digit lead. When it wasnt Parker for the Blue Devils, on pace to finish with the third-best 3-point shooting mark in school history, it was Cook, Rodney Hood or Sulaimon nailing 3s. Cooks made it 64-44 with just under 11 minutes left. Parker had a two-handed slam with 5:10 to play and was whistled for a technical for hanging on the rim too long, bringing a smattering of boos from the crowd. The Blue Devils led 39-35 at halftime. Parker, who entered second in the ACC in scoring (18.7 points per game) and leading the conference in rebounding (8.2), proved to be as tough as expected for Boston College to handle in the first half when he compiled 10 points and seven rebounds. The Eagles tried several things in trying to slow Parker in the opening half. They switched defences three times in the opening 10 minutes, going from man-to-man to zone and even using a box-and-1 at one point. They had guards attempting to play in front of him, forcing lob passes over the top, and had forwards covering him straight up. Still, his 6-foot-8 frame and quickness were on display whenever he got the ball. Boston College tied it at 16 on Alex Dragicevichs 3-pointer from the right wing, and neither team held more than a one-possession lead the rest of the half. Both shot 50 per cent on 3s in the opening 20 minutes. Duke plays at rival North Carolina in its next game on Wednesday. Timofey Mozgov Magic Jersey . A better question yet may be this: How many times has the same player been involved in both? Morneau hit a two-run homer in the 10th inning and helped the Colorado Rockies turn the third triple play in team history as they beat the San Diego Padres 8-6 on Sunday. Terrence Ross Jersey . Saskatchewans Darian Durant is expected to miss the rest of the Roughriders season with a torn tendon in his right elbow. The 32-year-old, who will undergo surgery in the next couple days to repair the injury, was added to the teams six-game injury list Tuesday. http://www.magicauthentic.com/kids-jason-williams-magic-jersey/ . With the Pirates in the thick of the race in the NL Central, the timing couldnt be better. Liriano struck out a season-high 11 in seven innings to win consecutive starts for the first time this season and Pittsburgh beat the San Francisco Giants 3-1 on Tuesday night. PITTSBURGH -- The Nationals stuck with their ace. The Pirates made them pay. Josh Harrison had a tiebreaking, two-out single two batters after Jose Tabata hit a sacrifice fly off of Stephen Strasburg in the seventh inning, and Pittsburgh handed Washington its fourth straight defeat, 3-2 Saturday night. Strasburg, who struck out 14 in a memorable major league debut against the Pirates almost four years ago, did not allow a hit Saturday until Walkers homer to centre with one out in the fourth. Pittsburgh managed just three more singles off Strasburg until the seventh, when Russell Martin led off with a single and went to third on a one-out double by Starling Marte before scoring on the sacrifice fly by pinch-hitter Tabata. "(Strasburg) pitched very well," Washington manager Matt Williams said. "Of course, they got to him in that last inning but I want to give him a chance to get out of there with a tie game. He was still strong. Hes our ace, hes deserves a chance to get out of it and it didnt work out." Gerrit Cole left after six innings trailing by a run while facing Strasburg in the first matchup in the NL of No. 1 overall draft picks in nine years. Cole -- the top pick of the 2011 draft, two years after Strasburg went first -- allowed two runs on five hits with seven strikeouts. Strasburg (3-4) allowed three runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts in seven innings. Strasburg insisted he wasnt losing his stuff as he crossed the 100-pitch plateau in the seventh. "My command was still pretty good," he said. "I got a pitch in on Martin and he dumped it into the outfield. I tried to pitch around a couple of guys. The pitch that killed me was the hanging curveball to Marte. That really set up the inning for them." Of the Harrison at-bat, Strasburg said: "Hes the type of hitter whos going to put the ball in play and he put it in the right place." Harrison followed pinch-hitter Travis Snider, whom the Nationals intentionally walked after Strasburg fell behind 2-0. "I was pretty much telling myself, I feel like Im seeing everything hes throwing," Harrrison said of his seventh-inning at bat against Stephen Strasburg. Nikola Vucevic Magic Jersey. "I was just looking to barrel something up." Neil Walker hit his 10th home run for the Pirates, who tied their season-best winning streak of four. Jered Hughes (3-1), Jeanmar Gomez and Mark Melancon each worked a perfect inning of relief for Pittsburgh. Melancon picked up his ninth save when he finished the Pirates majors-best 14th one-run victory. Ian Desmond hit his ninth homer for Washington (24-25), which has lost six of eight and fell under .500 for the first time this season. "Its tough -- were all trying very hard, trying to get back on track," Strasburg said. "I do think weve probably reached the point where were trying too hard and need to take a step back and let the game come to us." The bullpen backed up Cole, who allowed 10 baserunners and threw 112 pitches in six innings, retiring the side in order only once. Still, Pittsburgh won for the fourth time in five May starts by Cole. Wilson Ramos sawed-off, bloop single in the sixth scored Anthony Rendon to give the Nationals a 2-1 lead. Greg Dobbs went 2 for 4 for the Nationals. NOTES: The Mets Kris Benson (the No. 1 pick of the 1996 draft) faced Cincinnatis Paul Wilson (No. 1 overall in 1994) on May 16, 2005 -- the most recent occurrence of top picks facing each other in the NL. It happened in the American League two years ago (Kansas Citys Luke Hochevar vs. Tampa Bays David Price on Aug. 21, 2012). . 1B Adam LaRoche joined the Nationals in Pittsburgh and will be activated for Sundays game. Infielder Zach Walters was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse after Saturdays game to make room for LaRoche, who has been on the disabled list since May 10 because of a right quad strain. ... SS Desmonds homer gives the Nationals 17 this season from their middle infielders, most in the majors. . The four-game series wraps up Sunday when Washington RHP Doug Fister (1-1, 3.93) faces Pirates LHP Francisco Liriano (0-4, 4.86). Despite his record, Pittsburgh has won five of Lirianos past six starts. ' ' '

(SportsNetwork. Jose Juan Barea Jersey .com) - The Nashville Predators have yet to lose consecutive games this season and they hope to keep that trend going by winning their final game before the All-Star break. The Montreal Canadiens, on the other hand, will try to deal Nashville its first losing streak of 2014-15 when they host the Preds in Tuesdays battle at the Bell Centre. The Predators, who own a four-point lead over Chicago atop the Central Division standings, have been one of the NHLs most surprising teams this season. Nashville has defied expectations by being the model of consistency under Peter Laviolette, who is in his first season as the teams head coach. Laviolette led Nashville to its fifth straight win, a 4-3 decision over former longtime Preds head coach Barry Trotz and his visiting Washington Capitals on Friday, before falling 5-2 the following night in Detroit. The setback against the Red Wings halted a 10-game point streak (8-0-2) and was Nashvilles first regulation defeat since Dec. 23 against Boston. Another loss tonight would give the Predators their first losing streak since an 0-3-0 slide from March 15-19 of last season. Nashville is playing without franchise goaltender Pekka Rinne, who has missed two games since suffering a lower-body injury last Tuesday against Vancouver. Rinne, who is a leading candidate for the Vezina Trophy, is expected to miss at least three weeks of action. Carter Hutton has started both games since Rinnes injury. He made 31 saves in Fridays win over the Capitals, but was pulled Saturday after yielding three goals on Detroits first four shots of the game. Marek Mazanec made 18 saves in relief of Hutton. The Red Wings beat Hutton for a goal just 57 seconds into the game when Gustav Nyquist finished off a 2-on-1. The lead would grow to 3-0 later in the first after Kyle Quincey and Tomas Tatar tallied 70 seconds apart. Tatars goal chased Hutton from the game with 7:28 left in the opening stanza. Mike Fisher and Mattias Ekholm each lit the lamp for Nashville. They got some breaks early, Fisher said. It was their night for sure. Its uncertain if Hutton or Mazanec will get the start tonight. Hutton has an overtime loss in his only career appearance against Montreal. Mazanec also has faced the Habs once, getting pulled from a start against the Canadiens on Dec. 21 of last season. He did not factor into the decision despite yielding three goals on just five shots in the 4-3 home loss. Nashville, which is 12-8-3 as the guest this season, will complete a brief two-game road trip tonight. The Preds will then emerge from the All-Star break with next Tuesdays home tilt against Colorado. The Canadiens also will play their final test for the break tonight. Montreal began a three-game homestand Saturday with a 6-4 win over the New York Islanders and the victory gave Montreal an 11-3-1 record over its last 15 contests. Tomas Plekanec scored twice and added two assists to lead the way in the win over the Isles. The victory halted a two-game home slide and pushed Montreals record as the host to 14-5-2. David Desharnais chipped in a goal and an assist for the Canadiens, while P.K. Subban, Dale Weise and Alex Galchenyuk also scored in the victory. Andrei Markov picked up three assists. Montreal again played without All-Star goaltender Carey Price, who is considered day-to-day with an upper body injury he sustained last Wednesday in a win against Columbus. Dustin Tokarski, starting his second straight game in place of Price, made 27 saves. That was one of the best teams in the league, but we had a good performance from all lines tonight, said Plekanec. Im happy that our line played very well tonight. Its (just) one of those nights when you get chances like I did. Price, who was selected to the upcoming All-Star Game, was back at practice on Monday and he could get the call for Montreal tonight. The Habs franchise goaltender is 23-10-2 with a 2.19 goals against average this season, but is just 1-3-0 with a 2.49 GAA in his career against Nashville. In other injury news for Montreal, forward P.A. Parenteau will miss a second straight game with concussion symptoms. Parenteau also missed three games earlier this month with a head injury before returning to the lineup Wednesday against Columbus. He has six goals and nine assists in 40 games this season. Montreal has won two of the last three overall meetings against the Predators, but Nashville has claimed the last two encounters in Quebec. Kostas Antetokounmpo Jersey .ca has you covered for whos in, whos out and what to expect from all 30 teams. Dallas Mavericks Jerseys . Ronaldo netted his 14th goal of the season in Europes top competition to give Madrid a clear advantage ahead of next weeks quarterfinal return leg in Germany. But it came at a price as the Portugal forward, who came into the first-leg nursing a sore left knee, came off in the 80th minute. http://www.mavericksteamofficial.info/dirk-nowitzki-mavericks-jersey/ .4 seconds left and dribbled up court, weaving through Pitts defence.DENVER -- Justin Morneau made this perfectly clear: Hes stepping in for Todd Helton, not replacing the longtime Colorado Rockies first baseman. Because filling Heltons cleats, he said, simply cant be done. "(Helton) is irreplaceable, the impact he had in the clubhouse," Morneau said Friday after finalizing a two-year, $12.5 million deal. Morneau realizes the comparisons are inevitable as he inherits the position from Helton, who retired after a 17-year career in the Mile High City. He understands, but "were different people, were different players," he quickly added. They do have one glaring thing in common, though: Their fielding prowess at first base. Since 2003, Morneaus fielding percentage (.996) is second to only Helton (.997). "I dont think anybody will ever fill those shoes in that organization," Morneau said of Helton. "You see how rare it is for someone to play their entire career with one organization and put up the numbers he did throughout his career. His career is Hall of Fame worthy, for sure. "Im going to try and do the things I do well and not really try to replace anyone or be anyone else. Just help this team win ballgames." Over his 11-year career, Morneau is a .277 hitter and a four-time All-Star. He was the 2006 American League MVP while a member of the Minnesota Twins, batting .321 that season with 34 homers and 130 RBIs. Last season, he was traded from the Twins -- the only organization he had ever known -- to the Pittsburgh Pirates for their playoff run. That was an interesting experience. "Just kind of not being settled was completely different. At the same time, it was exciting -- to play in a new league and all the new opponents and all that stuff was fun," Morneau said. And this is another new start for him, with some familiar faces in the clubhouse. Hes reuniting with outfielder Michael Cuddyer, his former teammate in Minnesota. Cuddyer actually played a big role in Morneaus arrival at Coors Field, delivering a pretty effective sales pitch. The two talked and texted quite a bit before Morneau decided to siggn, which meant Cuddyer could stay in right field and not have to move to first base. Custom Dallas Mavericks Jerseys. Morneau is scheduled to make $5 million in 2014 and $6.75 million in 2015. Theres a $9 million mutual option for the 16 season and a $750,000 buyout if the club declines. He also has some incentive escalators for 2015 should he have 550 or more plate appearances in 2014 ($500,000), finish in the top three in MVP voting ($1.5 million) or become an All-Star ($375,000). While Morneau has yet to discuss with manager Walt Weiss where he will hit in the batting order, this much he does know: The lineup is stacked with sluggers such as Troy Tulowitzki, Carlos Gonzalez and Cuddyer, the reigning NL batting champion. "(Cuddyer) told me great things about the organization, from their desire to win and the desire to take care of players, take care of the guys," Morneau said. "Someone I respect as much as him and plays the game the way he does, you want to (join) guys like that." Cuddyer wasnt the only one Morneau consulted for a little information on the Rockies. He also went to his fellow Canadian and boyhood idol, Larry Walker, asking Walkers opinion of the franchise the outfielder helped put on the baseball map. Walker touted the Rockies so much that they vaulted to the top of Morneaus free-agent list. Now, Morneau is hoping Walker gives him approval to wear No. 33. "To go there and possibly wear his number is something special for me," said Morneau, who grew up in New Westminster, B.C. As for the concussion issues that have plagued him at times in his career, Morneau believes thats a thing of the past. "There was a time there that Id do certain things and wonder if I was going to bring on symptoms," Morneau said. "But now it seems like Im able to get through pretty much any activity without even having a second thought or any hesitation on what Im doing. For the most part, its behind me. "Being that its baseball and not hockey or football, the chances of something like that happening again are very rare. Im hoping thats the case." ' ' '

BALTIMORE -- The Baltimore Orioles had gone nearly a week without a victory, a stretch that included three one-run defeats in Arizona and a lopsided loss to Colorado at home. Hydro Flask Juomapullo . So, when they finally got to add another digit to their win total, the Orioles didnt really care if the outcome was influenced by their opponents mistakes. Brian Roberts and Manny Machado both hit two-run doubles during a seven-run third inning fueled by Colorado miscues, and Baltimore defeated the Rockies 8-4 Saturday night to end a four-game skid. Adam Jones had two hits in Baltimores highest-scoring inning of the season, which featured an error by shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, two walks, a passed ball and a wild pitch. Six of the seven runs were unearned, but when it was done the Orioles had an 8-1 lead. "It was huge," winning pitcher Bud Norris said. "It was a tough stretch there in Arizona. But just to be back in the win column was huge. To have a seven-run third inning is definitely a help to any starting pitcher going out there. I just wanted to keep putting up zeroes and the bullpen really came in and picked me up, too." Norris (9-10) gave up four runs and nine hits over 5 2-3 innings to improve to 3-1 since coming to the Orioles in a trade with Houston on July 31. He was followed by a relief corps that allowed only three hits the rest of way. "This is the big leagues. The third inning with a seven-run lead is never comfortable," said Tommy Hunter, who worked the ninth. "Guys came in and threw the ball well in certain situations and got us to the end of the ballgame with a four-run lead." Most of the damage in the third inning came against Colorado rookie Chad Bettis (0-2), who allowed seven hits, four walks and eight runs in 2 2-3 innings. "It was really embarrassing," Bettis said. "I need to be better. I wasnt making the right pitches." Baltimores third inning began with a double by Chris Davis and an infield hit by Jones. Nick Markakis followed with an RBI single, and one out later Colorado brought the infield in with runners on second and third. Steve Pearce hit a grounder that got past Tulowitzki, allowing Jones to score. "I think Tul probably looked up to see if the runner was taking off from third," Rockies manager Walt Weiss said. "But, hes been as good as you can possibly be at shortstop. Hes not going to make every play for six months." Following the second out, Roberts doubled in two runs, Nate McLouth walked and Machado hit his major league-leading 43rd double. Adam Ottavino replaced Bettis and walked Davis before Jones delivered an RBI single for a seven-run cushion. "Ive never been a part of a bad seven-run inning, when youre the one scoring it," Roberts said. "Obviously, we needed a little something to kind of jump start us and that was big, to use the extra out they gave us to put some runs on the board. Everyone kind of breathed a little sigh of relief and said, All right. Now were ready to go." Dexter Fowler hit RBI singles in the fourth and sixth innings for the Rockies, who lost for only the second time in eight games. Colorado stranded 11 and went 2 for 12 with runners in scoring position. Jones had three hits and Davis picked up his 113th RBI to help the Orioles secure their first victory since beating San Francisco last Sunday. "I think people panic a little more outside the clubhouse than we do inside the clubhouse," Roberts said. "We all still feel like we are in pretty good shape." Colorado got two hits and two walks in the first inning but scored only once, when Tulowitzki bounced into a double play. In the bottom half, McLouth drew a leadoff walk, advanced on a single by Machado and came home on a fly ball by Davis. Although the Orioles left the bases loaded in the second, they made up for it in the third. NOTES: Orioles SS J.J. Hardy was late scratch with back spasms. It was the second game hes missed this season. ... The Orioles recalled RHP Josh Stinson from Triple-A Norfolk to fill out an overworked bullpen. He allowed one hit in 1 1-3 innings. ... Colorado activated closer Rafael Betancourt (appendicitis) from the 15-day disabled list and optioned RHP Manuel Corpas to Triple-A Colorado Springs. ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orlando City owner Flavio Augusto da Silva knows theres no way his MLS expansion franchise could take the place of any Brazil club in the hearts of any Brazilian soccer fan. But with the signing of Kaka, da Silva hopes theres one room for more. "We want to be that second club," da Silva said Tuesday when Orlando City formally introduced the Brazilian three-time World Cup participant. The 32-year old midfielder, whose full name is Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, will join the MLS club when it begins play in January 2015. Until then, he will be on loan to San Paulo FC. He most recently played for AC Milan, terminating that contract last week. His deal with Orlando City is for three-and-a-half years. "This is not about the money," said Kaka, the world player of the year in 2007. "I know you know my resume. I can play anywhere else if money were the top question. This is a life opportunity, for myself, for my family. Players from now on will be looking for soccer opportunity in the United States." Over 200 fans greeted Kaka Monday night at Orlando International Airport. He was expected to join a watch party of the United States-Belgium World Cup match Tuesday afternoon. Some City streetlightss had a ". The signing was the culmination of two years of "flirting" between da Silva and Kaka ("I love Flavio, but Im married and so is he," Kaka joked) after the World Cup champion MVP served as a spokesman for one of da Silvas companies. Even after da Silva sold the company, his pursuit continued as Kaka entertained some MLS offers, most notably from New York. Both Kakas appreciation of the Orlando market as well as Brazil delivering the highest number of international visitors to the destination, influenced his decision to become the face of Orlandos startup efforts as the MLS 21st franchise. The team has won two USL Pro regular season titles and two post season championships. Orlando City co-owner Phil Rawlins said that signing Kaka was one of the franchises primary goals. "Not only did we sign a Brazilian superstar, we signed a world superstar," Rawlins said. "Kaka is not here to retire, hes here to win. Weve put the MLS on notice." 16:38ET 01-07-14 ' ' '

LONDON -- Mohamed Salah scored one goal and played a part in the other two as Chelsea strolled to a 3-0 victory over Stoke to recover from back-to-back losses and reclaim the provisional Premier League lead Saturday. Minnesota Vikings Apparel Clearance . Even though Jose Mourinho downplays Chelseas title prospects, his team remain in the mix with a relatively undemanding run-in, apart from a trip to Liverpool. And its Liverpool that can ensure Chelseas stay at the top this weekend is short-lived by winning Sunday at West Ham. This was a routine victory for Chelsea against a Stoke side that presented little attacking threat, and Salah profited on his first start since joining from Basel in January. Salah was left unmarked when he netted the opener in the 32nd minute, and after the break the Egypt winger won the penalty that Frank Lampard first saw saved before netting the rebound. Salah set up Willian to curl in Chelseas third in the 72nd to wrap up a fifth consecutive home win, with the team scoring 17 unanswered goals during a formidable period at Stamford Bridge. The problems are away, having lost the last two league games on the road to struggling sides Aston Villa and Crystal Palace, and at Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their quarterfinal on Wednesday. "Away we have some matches where we must change our profile ... and adapt to the situation," Mourinho said. "If I go to a wedding, I dont go in jeans," he added. "And if I leave my house to go for a walk in Hyde Park I dont go in a smoking (jacket)." Mourinho accepted that it took at least 15 minutes for his team to "recover self-esteem and confidence." Not that Fernando Torres seemed to have any. The misfiring striker started up front again after being dropped for the 3-1 loss in Paris, but did little to convince Mourinho that he should be part of the team for next season. After two early efforts there was little danger from the player whose career has been in a downward spiral since joining Chelsea in 2011 for 50 million pounds (then $80 million) from Liverpool. Torres first struck wide, then had a low close-range effort blocked by Asmir Begovic after Stoke defender Marc Wilson inadvertently chested the ball to him. While Torres has just one goal in 2014, Salah now has two since joining Chelsea in January. From a throw-in, Nemanja Matics cutback reached Salah, who was left completely unchallenged by the Stoke defence to power the ball into the net. "We bought a kid from a different habitat, an Egyptian player playing in Switzerland, we knew the kid was going to take time," Mourinho said of the 21-year-old Salah. "You feel it immediately the connection between him and the crowd." Although Branislav Ivanovic had the ball in the net again for Chelsea before halftime, the goal was ruled out for offside. Instead, the lead was extended after the break, with substitute Eden Hazard involved in the two goals. The penalty was won after the Belgium midfielder flicked the ball onto Salah, who was then brought down by Andy Wilkinson. Although Lampards penalty was saved, he reacted quickly to stab the rebound into the net in the 61st. It was his 250th goal in club football, encompassing his time at West Ham and Swansea before joining Chelsea in 2001. Stokes defence was cut through again with ease for the third goal. Hazard brought the ball forward from inside his own half and squared to Salah. Willian then collected the ball and had time to move forward unchallenged before bending the ball into the top corner. "He was so sharp on the ball," Lampard said of Willian. "The goal was the epitomy of what he does better than anyone I think Ive played with." Whether Chelsea players end up with Premier League winners medals this season remains unclear. Now its about hoping Liverpool slips up at West Ham and then overturning the deficit against PSG on Tuesday and advancing to the Champions League semifinals. Authentic Vikings Jerseys Cheap . Some pigskin play cost Phil Mickelson to the chagrin of the rowdiest fans in the largest crowd in golf history. The estimated 189,722 in attendance had a lot to see on a sunny, cool day at TPC Scottsdale. Watsons drive on the par-5 13th went into a desert bush and settled next to a burrowing animal hole that would have interfered with his swing, giving him a free drop. "Right next to my ball was a burrowing animal hole and my club was going to hit it at impact," Watson said. "It was big hole and the club would get caught on it. So, I got a free drop and could easily wedge it out." He hit a 150-yard shot to the fairway, followed with a wedge to the fringe and two-putted for par on the way to a 3-under 68 and a two-stroke lead. Without the free drop, he thought he could have played a shorter shot. "I was looking at a 20- or 30-yard shot," Watson said. Mickelson made a double bogey on the par-3 No. 16, the 20,000-seat stadium hole where he "lost focus" thinking about throwing footballs into the crowd. The defending champion half-shanked his tee shot left on the 128-yard hole. He followed with a weak flop shot into the bunker, blasted to 8 feet and two-putted. "It was a gap wedge. It was pathetic," Mickelson said. "I dont even know what to say. I dont remember ever hitting a shot like that even in practice." On the positive side, the former Arizona State player threw some nice spirals and showed no signs of the back pain that forced him to withdraw last week at Torrey Pines. "My brother, who is the ASU golf coach, brought out some ASU footballs that I signed and threw out there," Mickelson said. "I think its the last time Im going to do that, because mentally I was thinking about throwing it a couple holes prior. "It took me out of my element. I hit the worst shot imaginable, and then I followed with four other terrible ones. It was just some of the worst shots imaginable. I just lost focus and I think a lot of it was due to the fact that I have never done sometthing like that on the 16th hole. Customized Vikings Jerseys. I thought it was going to be fun." He finished with a 72 to drop to 3 under. Watson was at 15-under 198. Winless since the 2012 Masters, the long-hitting left-hander also scrambled to save par on the par-5 15th, holing a 15-footer after losing another drive to the right. His 7-foot birdie try on 16 stopped on the right edge, but he holed a curling 12-footer for birdie on the short par-4 17th after another drive went far right. He saved par on the par-4 18th after driving over the water into the left rough. "I held it together, stayed focused on what I was trying to do, made nice up-and-down on 17 for birdie," Watson said. "Tough lie on 18 and somehow two-putted to have a little lead. ... Luckily, nobody went crazy on me." He was upset about the pace of play. "The back nine just got real slow and sluggish and I just kind of lost focus a little bit on my tee shots," Watson said. "We need to be under five hours tomorrow. I want to watch the Super Bowl." The tournament set an attendance record for the fourth straight day, breaking the day mark of 179,002 from the third round last year. Since Monday, an estimated 502,776 people have attended the event. The record of 538,356 was set in 2008. "It was packed out there," said Scottsdale resident Kevin Stadler, second after a 67. "Its something you only experience once a year." Ryan Moore had a 64 to join Harris English (69) and Hideki Matsuyama (66) at 12 under, and Jones (72) was 11 under along with Brendan Steele (62) and 2010 winner Hunter Mahan (65). Moore played the back nine in 6-under 30. "Made a couple bonus putts," Moore said. Steele had the best round of the week. "I was just trying to make as many birdies as I could," Steele said. "Its kind of the luxury when you make the cut by a shot. You have more to gain and not much to lose." Canadian Graham DeLaet shot himself up the leaderboard with a 6-under 65. DeLaet, from Weyburn, Sask., is six shots off the pace at 9-under 204. David Hearn of Brantford, Ont., shot a 73, and is 13 back at 211. ' ' '

HOYLAKE, England -- Ernie Els hit a spectator in the face with his opening tee shot at the British Open on Thursday, shaking up the two-time champion for the rest of his first round at Royal Liverpool. Tyler Clippard Indians Jersey . The mans injury and Els subsequent triple-bogey 7 on the first hole were just the start of his problems. The Big Easy will have a big task trying to stick around for the weekend after carding a 7-over 79, including 42 on the front nine. Els said he was "quite rattled" after he realized the man, who he estimated was in his 60s, was bleeding profusely from a shot that Els said hit the spectator directly in the face. "There was blood everywhere," Els said. "It was like a bullet coming at him. I obviously felt pretty bad about it. It wasnt nice. I was trying to hit it left, and should have told the starters to move the people back on the left side, but I didnt do that." Els said he would make inquiries about the mans recovery. Tournament officials said the spectator was not seriously injured. On the first green, Els missed a bogey putt from about eight inches, bizarrely backhanded the subsequent foot-long putt just past the hole and tapped in for his triple bogey. "Yeah, I was kind of finished. I started to miss short putts, it was just a nightmare," he said. Els said he may have "put the jinx" on his playing partners -- defending champion Phil Mickelson shot 74, and Masters winner Bubba Watson had a 76. Watson said he felt Els was affected by the mans injury. "When we got to the green Ernie said he hit somebody right in the jaw and he said it wasnt good," Watson said. "And you could tell Ernie was shaken up by it. Youre not trying to hit a bad shot in, but when you hit somebody like that its not a good scene, and its very heart-breaking. Im not saying thats why he struggled on that hole, but Im pretty sure thats what it was." There was a bit of comic relief on the 18th where Els had to gently prod a frog away from the tee box with his driver, prompting a smile. Els won his British Open titles 10 years apart -- at Muirfield in 2002 and at Royal Lytham in 2012. He also has two U.S. Open trophies. Hes playing his 24th British Open, where he has seven top-five finishes, and has missed the cut just three times. That total could well be four after Friday. "I played the front nine in 7-over par, (on) a perfect day, and thats just unheard of," Els said. "Hopefully well get it tomorrow." Hanley Ramirez Indians Jersey . OLIVA, Spain -- In a game that had tackles flying in from start to finish, Canada picked up a scoreless draw against Mauritania on Sunday in what was the debut for new national team coach Benito Floro. Dalvin Cook Womens Jersey . "At the moment we are teaching how to play collectively," said Floro, who is tasked with rebuilding the program in the build up to qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in two years time. "Its necessary to play a lot between us and to test with the friendly matches. But I understand its very difficult to get a result against a very good national team like Mauritania, who press very excellently." The game started under hot, but windy conditions, but grew more comfortable as the afternoon progressed. Mauritania pressured Canada relentlessly in the opening few minutes, many times getting overly physical. "It was a friendly but definitely very physical," said midfielder Atiba Hutchinson, who was captain for this game. "I think we expected that a little bit but maybe at times it was a little out of hand but no excuses. I think we need to look at the video after the game and we have to play them in another game and its important that we can come back and get a result in the next game." With more than 30 players in camp, Canada dressed 18 for the game, and save for their teammates that didnt play, a delegation from the Mauritanian embassy in Spain, and a few curious locals, there werent many people there to take in the game at the resort where both teams are camped. A young Canadian team looked shaky early as the quick Mauritanian side pressured the ball. "I think we just needed to be a little bit more calm and maybe read the game at times," said Hutchinson. "I think at halftime the coaches said we need to play in behind them and find the pockets and create space. In the second half I thought we did that a bit better." On more than one occasion, the West Africans got a bit carried away as midfielders Kyle Bekker and Kyle Porter went down under heavy challenges just past the 10-minute mark. The rest of the game was defined by lots of shirt-pulling and hard tackles as words were exchanged between both sets of players on numerous occasions. The best chance of the game came in the 21st minute. Toronto FC midfielder Jonathan Osorio collected a pass from club teammate Ashtone Morgan before cutting inside and unleashing a fiercely struck right-footed curling effort that had to be tipped over for a corner kick. "They made it difficult to develop our attack. But its a good test for us," said Floro. "For us, the best was our good intention to combine the play even if the opponent pressed very hard. So we need some good behaviour to start to understand perfectly to combine the attack." Making his debut on the bench, Floro was mostly silent, only rising once or twice to direct his new team. It was a stark contrast to his counterpart, Frenchman Patrice Neveu, who barely took time to draw breath as he barked orders for almost the entire 90 minutes. Canada controlled the possession for much of the second half and in the early few moments looked like they could get a goal. But apart from a Dwayne De Rosario effort that was easily saved three minutes into the second half, there wasnt much offence on either end. "In the second half I thought we did that a bit better," said Hutchinson. "We were just missing the chances. We needed to create more chances and get some shots on target and possibly goals. Well have a couple training sessions and its important we get a result next time." The two teams play again on Tuesday. Alan Page Vikings Jersey Mike Hughes Jersey . LOUIS -- Chicago Cubs closer Jose Veras stumbled first. Then it was Trevor Rosenthals turn to fail -- at the plate and on the mound. Welington Castillo hit a three-run homer in the 11th inning off the St. Louis closer, who struck out with an unusual chance to win it, and the Cubs beat the Cardinals 6-3 on Friday night. "I know he throws really hard," Castillo said. "So I just waited for something over the plate that I can drive, and I put my best wood on it." The Cardinals tied it with two runs in the ninth and had runners on first and second with two outs in the 10th when manager Mike Matheny decided against a pinch hitter. Rosenthal (0-1) took a called third strike in his second career at-bat and said he didnt carry any disappointment back to the mound. "Uh no, because I mean, Im not here to hit," Rosenthal said. "So its easy to kind of brush it off and just go out there and try to have another shutdown inning." Nate Schierholtz doubled for his fourth straight hit leading off the 11th and advanced on a sacrifice. Starlin Castro was intentionally walked and Ryan Kalish popped out on a bunt attempt before Castillo lined a 1-1 fastball 426 feet to left for his second homer. "I figured he might be hunting for a fastball," Rosenthal said. "Looking at the video, I didnt get it up quite as much as Id hoped, but he put a good swing on a good pitch. "Not much you can do about it." Justin Grimm (1-0) walked Matt Holliday and Matt Adams on eight pitches to start the 10th but got out of it, partly because Matheny left Pete Kozma and Tony Cruz on the bench. Grimm struck out Yadier Molina and got Shane Robinson to fly out before facing Rosenthal. Matheny said hed have batted Kozma with less than two outs. He also banked on another shutdown inning from Rosenthal, who needed just six pitches in the 10th. "Youve got a real good feeling hes going to bring us back in with another zero," Matheny said. "We had two shots at getting the guy in from second." Hector Rondon finished for his first career save. Veras hit two batters and walked another in the ninth. One run scored on a passed ball by Castillo, helping the Cardinals score twice in the inning. Matt&nnbsp;Carpenters bases-loaded sacrifice fly tied it at 3. Kirk Cousins Jersey. Veras has blown both his save chances and has allowed five earned runs in 3 2-3 innings with three hit batters and seven walks. "A shaky outing," Cubs manager Rick Renteria said, "but hes still our guy." Chicago starter Jeff Samardzija worked seven economic innings for the third straight start, exiting with a 1.29 ERA. He finally got some runs to work with, but was denied a win for the ninth straight outing since Aug. 24 at San Diego. "You keep pitching and giving your team a chance to win," Samardzija said. "Everyone is trying to do their jobs and sometimes balls find holes, and sometimes they dont." Ryan Sweeneys RBI single off Carlos Martinez tied it in the seventh and was the Cubs first run in 21 innings when Samardzija starts. Anthony Rizzos sacrifice fly off Kevin Siegrist snapped a tie in a two-run eighth. Cubs pinch hitters were 1 for 18 before the eighth inning when Justin Ruggiano, batting for Samardzija, singled off Martinez, and Mike Olt, batting for Luis Valbuena, singled off Siegrist. Molinas RBI single in the second was his 10th hit in 18 career at-bats against Samardzija. He had two hits and is batting .455 (25 for 55) with three homers and 17 RBIs against the Cubs the last two seasons. Cardinals starter Joe Kelly allowed an unearned run in six innings. He faced the minimum through the first five innings with the help of two double-play balls. NOTES: The Cubs appeal of a hit by pitch call on Allen Craig in the ninth was denied. ... Castro got a strange assist at SS in the fourth when he staggered and dropped Hollidays towering popup with a runner on first. VANCOUVER -- The goaltender who thought he had played his last game with the Vancouver Canucks was back skating with his old teammates Friday. NFL Jerseys Cheap . Roberto Luongo, who spent all of last season expecting to be traded, admitted that it was strange to be back in Vancouver wearing a Canucks sweater again. "It was a bit odd flying in," Luongo said after training with several Canucks at the University of British Columbia. "Just when you think youve seen it all, theres always something else. I dont know what the future holds but right now Im just focused on the season." Luongo dodged the question of whether hes happy to remain a member of the Canucks. "Ive said all along I want to play," he said. "Now I have that opportunity. "I want to take advantage of that and I want to win some games. I want to go as far as we can and hopefully win the Stanley Cup. Its a big year for me. Ive been sitting on the bench for a while and I want to show everybody what I can do. We all know its an Olympic year. I just want to make the best of it." The Canucks goaltending situation has been one of Vancouvers most watched soap operas the last few seasons, with Luongo playing a starring role. The veteran said his goodbyes last spring after the Canucks were eliminated from the first round of the playoffs by the San Jose Sharks. The 34-year-old had been looking for a trade ever since Cory Schneider replaced him as Vancouvers starter. The general consensus was the Canucks would deal the three-time Vezina Trophy finalist over the summer. In a move that stunned many -- including Luongo -- the Canucks instead dealt the 27-year-old Schneider to the New Jersey Devils at Junes NHL draft for the ninth overall pick, which Vancouver used to take Bo Horvat. "It caught me by surprise," said Luongo. "It takes a while. Its a process." Vancouvers training camp officially opens Wednesday and Luongo said getting back on the ice to play hockey offers him some solace. "Thats where you are the most comfortable, when youre on the ice," he said. "Youre playing the game and youre not thinking about stuff. "Thats why Im anxious to get training camp started ... to get back to a regular routine and not worry about other stuff." Luongos contract was a stumbling block in trying to trade him. He has nine years and US$40.5 million left on a deal that counts as a US$5.3 million salary cap hit. In a market once called a "goaltender graveyard," Luongo has always been a lightening rod for criticism. He isnt even sure how local fans will react to his return. "To be honest with you I dont know how its going to work out," said Luongo, who posed for pictures with several people after the workout. "Theres always going to be people supporting and theres going to be people not so supportive. It goes along with the territory. Ive realized that over the course of the year you cant really please everybody." In his early days in Vancouver, Luongo could sometimes be cocky, even arrogant. Some days he was friendly, others aloof. He showed more maturity the last few seasons and was praised for the way he handled the situation with Schneider. The two goaltenders were supportive of each other and didnt want to be a distraction to the team. "Ive always been the same person," said Luongo. "I just think a lot of people didnt see that before. "You learn and gain experience and learn to handle certain situations, whether they are a bit more complicated or whether you are thriving. You have to handle things a certain way. Maybe I have learned that a little bit more over the last couple of years. You have to practise it." Luongo was silent in the immediate aftermath of the trade, leading to speculation he was angry. There were suggestions he might boycott the Canucks training camp. "No," he said, dismissing the notion. "Thats not my style." Vancouver general manager Mike Gillis went to Luongos home in Florida over the summer to speak with his goaltender. "We chatted," Luongo said. "There was no animosity. "I dont know if it was as rosy as he painted it but we had a couple of laughs. They were just trying to do their job (trading Schneider). I dont hold that against them." In another major move, the Canucks fired coach the easy going Alain Vigneault and replaced him with the fiery John Tortorella. "Hes going to bring a change to the dressing room," Luongo said. "Not that Alain was a bad coach but sometimes change is good. "We will see what he brings. Hopefully it will spark the boys a little bit." Last year as Schneiders backup, Luongo appeared in 20 games, including 18 starts. He had a 9-6-3 record, with two shutouts, a 2.56 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage. Luongos relationship with the Canucks may have been strained, but he sounded like a man ready to try and make things work on Friday. A strong start to the season will also help him gain a spot on the Canadian team defending its Olympic gold medal. "Ive been focused, getting ready for the last month or so," he said. "I try to eliminate every distraction, just worrying about playing the game. "At this point in time thats all I really want to be focused on ... making sure that I get back to where I was two years ago, establish myself as one of the best in the league. I dont want to squander an opportunity like that. I have a great chance to play and I want to take advantage of it." Note: The Canucks also announced Friday that Pavel Bures No. 10 will be retired at Rogers Arena prior to Vancouvers Nov. 2 game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. In 428 games with Vancouver, Bure collected 478 points, including 254 goals. He still holds the team record for most points scored by a rookie, with 34 goals and 26 appoints in 65 games. Although Hamilton and Rosberg, whose relationship has come close to imploding during Mercedes emergence as the sports new dominant force, will continue as team-mates for another two seasons, the pair will enter the final year of their respective deals at the same time. Its a devilish detail which raises the prospect of the pair, who will both be 33 in 2018, having to go head-to-head for a single seat if they wish to continue with the Silver Arrows. Its a strange stance, said Sky F1s Paul di Resta. Is that a bit of pressure in the final year to make one stand out and then theyll replace one?Full story: Rosberg pens new two-year dealRosberg is understood to have pushed for a three-year deal with the team while Hamilton has already admitted he wants to see out his F1 career with the Silver Arrows.Ive obviously signed for another three years with Mercedes - after that I see myself staying for another three or four years, the three-times world champion said. While Im 37 Ill still be relatively young so I want to be challenged by something else. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff says that Nico Rosberg re-signing for Mercedes was never in doubt. Should they reach the end of 2018, and their sixth year together, the Mercedes duo would be on course to beat Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichellos record of 104 races as F1 team-mates.That would come despite the rising tension and the fact Rosberg and Hamilton have courted controversy ever since teaming up three years ago, crashing twice and facing the threat of team orders during the 2016 campaign alone. However, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff said he had no hesitation in retainingg the line-up. F1 Championship leader Nico Rosberg extends his contract with Mercedes. The championship leader can now focus on his pursuit of a first world title, currently leading Hamilton by one point ahead of this weekends Hungarian GP.It means Mercedes are guaranteed to have the world champion in the car next year, Brundle said. Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork. Dale Murphy Jersey .com) - Ben Lovejoy tallied a goal and an assist as the Anaheim Ducks cruised into the All-Star break with a 6-3 victory against the Calgary Flames. Tim Jackman, Pat Maroon, Kyle Palmieri, Ryan Kesler and Ryan Getzlaf all lit the lamp and Frederik Andersen made 30 saves for the Ducks, who have won five straight games. Tonight was a night we really wanted, said Lovejoy. We wanted to have a happy four days (off). Sean Monahan scored for the fourth game in a row, while Joe Colborne and Mikael Backlund also lit the lamp for the Flames, who had their four-game winning streak come to an end. Jonas Hiller stopped 13-of-14 shots in relief of Joni Ortio, who allowed four goals on 11 shots. Anaheim extended its home winning streak to 20 games against Calgary. The Flames were last victorious at Honda Center on Jan. 19, 2004. The Ducks seized control early with a three-goal first period. Matt Beleskey emerged from behind the net and slipped a pass through the crease to Palmieri, who wristed the shot past Ortio 4:41 into the game. Maroon deflected Lovejoys shot into the net with 5:01 to play in the first period and Lovejoys wrister from the top of the right circle off a faceoff win made it a 3-0 game just over two minutes later. Jackman gave the Ducks a 4-0 advantage midway through the second with a wrist shot over the glove of Ortio, chasing the Calgary netminder from the game. The Flames, however, cut the deficit to two heading into the final stanza. Backlund deposited a loose puck into the net at 11;13 and Monahan finished off a smooth tic-tac-toe passing play with a quick shot from the slot with 48 seconds left in the second. Less than eight minutes into the third, Palmieri had a power-play goal waved off after it was ruled that he pushed Hillers pad into the net. Getzlaf made it a 5-2 game after he took Corey Perrys backhanded pass and beat Hillers glove with a snap shot with 10:16 remaining. Colborne responded just 58 seconds later after he batted a loose puck past Andersen to make it a two-goal game once again. Kesler scored on an empty net with 19 seconds left to account for the final score. Game Notes The Ducks are now 23-0-6 this season when leading after the first period ... Anaheim improved to 11-2-0 over their last 13 games at Honda Center ... The Flames entered the contest with five straight road wins ... Nate Thompson and Perry each had two assists for the Ducks ... Would you ever pick an alternative walk-on tune? The Rotterdam crowd were in full voice for fellow compatriot Michael van Gerwen as he took to the stage to face Premier League rival Phil Taylor I havent got a clue. Im not really into music to be fair. It was picked for me and to be honest - its not a bad choice. Im very happy with the one Ive got at the moment.Who is the worst dressed man in darts? Some people like the way Peter Wright dresses, but I think hes the worst, yes.Who is the funniest Premier League player? Adrian Lewis is quite funny. We always make jokes of course, otherwise its quite boring. What is your favourite darts finish.132. Do you wish you could play Wayne Mardle one more time? He has never beaten me. I dont think so? Red Sox outfielder Jonny Gomes, the bandleader of the beard brigade during Bostons run to the 2013 World Series title, said he will be shaving his off before spring training so that he can file it "in the archive" with his memories of the teams improbable championship.Peter Taylor believes keeping players together is the key for relegated teams Aston Villa, Norwich City and Newcastle United if they are to bounce back to the Premier League at the first time of asking. Burnley won the Sky Bet Championship this season - and secured automatic promotion alongside Middlesbrough - as they made an immediate return to the top flight, while Hull City did the same after seeing off Sheffield Wednesday in the play-off final at Wembley. And Taylor reckons the Magpies, Villa and the Canaries should adopt the same policy as the Tigers as they contemplate next season in the second tier of English football. I think any manager that gets relegated out of the Premier League, the first thing he thinks of is will he lose his most important players, Taylor told Sky Sports News. The more you can keep hold of your squad, the stronger its going to be, the better chance youll have of getting back into the Premier League, because the Championship, its such a tough league.Youve got to have your best players. To be fair to Hull, they kept their players, so the owner deserves a lot of credit for that and theyve got a very experienced manager [in Steve Bruce].Former Fulham manager Kit Symons has first-hand experience of the Clarets successful season, noting the way they went about their business which helped them achieve promotion. Sean Dyche oversaw Burnleys return to the Premier League He said: In my second-last game, we narrowly lost up at Turf Moor, we put in a decent performance. But its the way they went under the radar for so long really, they just went about their business at the right time. They were solid, very organised. We spoke about Joey Barton - Andre Gray and Sam Vokes were excellent for them as well. The Championship will prove a tough challenge to negotiate once again next season and Symons expects third-placed Brighton, who missed outt in the play-offs, and Sheffield Wednesday, who lost to Hull in the play-off final, to both be in the promotion mix once again. Robert Woods Womens Jersey. He said: I think probably Sheffield Wednesday and Brighton were two of the surprise packages in the Championship this season. Both teams did exceptionally well. Aitor Karanka and Grant Leadbitter celebrate Middlesbroughs promotion to the Premier League I bumped into a couple of the Sheffield Wednesday players at the Cheltenham festival, they were waxing lyrical about the team camaraderie within the group and it is so vital to having a successful Championship season.Wigan, Burton Albion and Barnsley won promotion to the Championship from League 1, but Taylor feels that Burton may struggle to stay in the division. Its going to be tough, he said. Its going to be like Yeovil in that division. But the club has done marvellous and the owner has done marvellous. Every appointment he seems to make managerial-wise seems to be a success. Gary Rowett, Nigel Clough first of all, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, everybody has done well.. Rafa Benitez will need to keep his Newcastle players, says Peter Taylor Having spoken to Clough, Symons revealed the Brewers manager is up for the new challenge.I spoke to Nigel at the LMA dinner, he was obviously delighted, said Symons. He was there with his owner, delighted to have gained promotion, and he realises how tough its all going to be. But hes fully focussed on the job in hand. NEW YORK, N. Air Max 720 Noir Pas Cher .Y. - Relief pitcher Heath Bell has been cut by the Tampa Bay Rays in a costly move for a normally thrifty team. Needing a fresh long man in the bullpen, the Rays recalled right-hander Nathan Karns from Triple-A Durham and designated Bell for assignment before Sundays series finale against the New York Yankees. Bell, a three-time All-Star, was 1-1 with a 7.27 ERA in 13 appearances for the Rays after they acquired the right-hander from Arizona in December as part of a three-team trade that also included Cincinnati. Tampa Bay still owes him about $4.5 million this season. Karns was scheduled to start Sunday for Durham, so he provides protection if the Rays need more than a couple of innings from a reliever. Tampa Bay played a doubleheader Thursday in Boston and a 14-inning game Friday night at Yankee Stadium. Site Air Max 270 Pas Cher . And follow TSN.ca right through Deadline Day for all the updates. Of those, 68, or nine-percent, were on the active rosters for the 85th edition of the All-Star Game on Tuesday night at Target Field. Blue Jays rightfielder Jose Bautista participated in his fifth Midsummer Classic and fifth in a row. While some players look for ways to excuse themselves from the festivities, choosing instead to take a four-day break from the daily grind of the six-month season, Bautista relishes the opportunity to be front and centre on one of the sports biggest stages. "Nothing gets old, everythings the same, you get to enjoy everything every single time," said Bautista. "Theres always different stuff going on and new and different, exciting players. Im excited to see those new names like Jose Abreu and Mike Trout. I know (Trouts) been here before but hes one of the younger guys that are part of this event so theres always great stuff to see and enjoy so I dont complain whatsoever. Always proud and humbled to be chosen." Bautista, for the second time, was the leading vote-getter, netting almost six million votes. He doesnt take the responsibility lightly. His itinerary in Minneapolis was jam-packed. If he was weary, he wasnt letting on but regardless, there would be hardly any rest. Bautista arrived via private jet on Sunday night, flying in from Tampa Bay, where his Blue Jays had just finished a series with the Rays. He went to his hotel, checked in, took enough time to drop off his belongings in his room and then, in a manner of speaking, went to work. First up was a Sunday night MLB.com party for which Bautista played host. He eventually made it to bed and estimated that he got five hours of sleep. There was more to do – much, much more to do – on Monday. Bautista had breakfast on Monday morning. Then, a charitable endeavour; he went to the Boys and Girls Club of the Twin Cities to meet some of the programs children and donate shoes. By one oclock in the afternoon central daylight time, Monday, Bautista had arrived at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Minneapolis. It was media time, including indulging reporters for 45 minutes during the American League players availability, followed by the Home Run Derby press conference. "Basically stressful, Im going to lose a couple of more hairs in this next 48 houurs," Bautista told TSN. Air Max Pas Cher En Ligne. .ca during the availability. "It goes by fast. It feels like right when you get here youre doing one thing after the other. You dont get enough sleep. You always have something to do but you cant help but enjoy it when youre out on the field and playing with stars. I cant complain about it but it is busy." Bautista participated in the Home Run Derby. He was the American Leagues captain. He hit 10 home runs in the first round, received a bye to the semifinals and hit four more. He was defeated by eventual winner, Oaklands Yoenis Cespedes. The Derby behind him, it was back out on the town for a party thrown by Marucci Sports, which has become one of baseballs premier suppliers of equipment like bats, batting gloves, gloves, you name it. Bautista sits on the companys board of directors. The party ended. Bautista estimated he got about six hours of sleep before waking up on Tuesday morning. It was right off to the All-Star parade through downtown Minneapolis and the red carpet which followed. Bautista was in rightfield for five innings, going hitless in two at-bats. He was to fly to Toronto, on a private jet, over the lunch hour on Wednesday. Blue Jays fans concerned Bautista kept too busy in advance of what will be the most important second half of his tenure in Toronto, neednt worry. "I still get two days on Wednesday and Thursday," said Bautista. "Id rather be here then at home relaxing. Its a good signal when you get picked and selected to come here and Im not going to keep complaining. Im going to keep trying to be a contributor to my team and hopefully play good enough to keep getting selected." After all, it wasnt obvious in his early years that Bautista would become the elite player you see today. Hell keep coming to the All-Star Game as long as hes invited. "Maybe if I was somebody like Mike Trout, whos been here since his first year and this would be my 17th year, maybe I wouldnt care about it so much but thats not the case," said Bautista. "I work very hard and somehow manage to be good enough to get selected. I dont think it means that much more but it means about as much as it probably means to every other guy thats here. We value it a lot and its always great to be recognized among the best so Im always humbled and honoured to be here." NEW YORK -- The only thing Jonathan Lucroy wished he would have done differently Thursday night was hit that home run sooner. Joe Flacco Jersey . On the eve of his 28th birthday, Lucroy hit a tiebreaking shot in a four-run 13th inning and the Milwaukee Brewers outlasted the New York Mets 5-1 after an unusual rain delay that lasted all of 3 minutes. "Believe me, I was trying to do it earlier than that," Lucroy said. "Sorry." Aramis Ramirez homered in the second inning to end a Brewers power drought and finished with three hits, helping the NL Central leaders take two of three in the series. Milwaukee (40-27) completed a 5-3 road trip with its 10th victory in 15 games overall, matching a season high at 13 games above .500. New York took advantage of an error by Gold Glove centre fielder Carlos Gomez to tie it in the fourth before Kyle Lohse and Jonathon Niese settled into a crisp pitchers duel. "I tried to get us out of there quick, but their guy wasnt co-operating," Lohse said. "He was mixing it up good. I was mixing it up good. We were flying for a little bit until we hit extra innings." The slumping Mets stranded seven runners from the ninth through the 11th and blew a bases-loaded opportunity with a chance to win. They lost for the eighth time in nine games and fell a season-worst eight games under .500 at 29-37. Ryan Braun was 0 for 5 with three strikeouts when he opened the 13th with an infield single off Carlos Torres (2-4). Lucroy, also hitless in five at-bats after beginning the night with a .341 batting average, drove a hanging curve to left field for his fifth home run. Mark Reynolds added an RBI single and Rickie Weeks was hit by Dana Evelands pitch with the bases loaded. Back in the dugout, a frustrated Torres wiped his face with a towel and punched himself repeatedly on both sides of the head. Zach Duke (4-0) tossed a perfect inning and Francisco Rodriguez finished in a non-save situation. "The way our guys threw tonight was awesome," Lucroy said. "It was a lot of fun to be a part of, although I wish we would have gotten done a little earlier." Mets closer Jenrry Mejia got two outs in the 10th, but a stiff back flared up as he was warming for the 11th and he left the game. Moments later, a sudden downpour halted play. Fans scurried for cover as umpires consulted the grounds crew -- and the radar on a smartphone -- near third base. Players stayed in the dugout waiting for word and when the rain quickly lightened to a drizzle, the game resumed after only 3 minutes. "That was weird. I thought they were going to pull the tarp and bang it and have like a one-inning playoff next time when they come to our place," Lucroy said with a laugh. "Crazy night. Glad we could win and get out of here on a good note." Brewers reliever Brandon Kintzler escaped a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the 11th with the help of a five-man infield. Wilmer Flores grounded into a force at the plate before Anthony Recker struck out looking. Incensed by the call, Recker argued and was quickly ejected by plate umpire Angel Hernandez. "You cant get thrown out there," Mets manager Terry Collins said. "I understand his frustration and everything else, but hes got to know theres nobody left on that bench except one guy." With both starters working fast and throwing strikes, the first nine innings were played in a brisk 2 hours, 23 minutes. Lohse, who struggled in three previous starts at Citi Field, held the Mets to an unearned run in eight economical innings. Niese, meanwhile, gave New York another steady outing with nothing to show for it. The left-hander struck out a season-high eight in 7 2-3 innings. He has a 2.22 ERA over 28 1-3 innings in his last four games, all no-decisions. "I felt really good," Niese said. As written by Terry Jones of The Edmonton Sun, Oilers GM Craig MacTavish looks like hes keen on retaining the teams first-round pick in this Junes NHL draft. Upon his hiring, MacTavish said the team didnt, "need another teenager, another 18-year-old kid coming in here next year," but Jones writes the perspective could change if the Oilers have a top five pick. No Sitting Still In another story in The Sun, Jones writes that while MacTavish wont be tempted into making a deal for the sake of dealing, it doesnt mean hell be inactive going into the Mar. 5 deadline. "The next deal is going to be an important deal for us,," he told Jones. Justice Hill Ravens Jersey. "Its going to be important we make the right move. Sacramento, CA (SportsNetwork. Cheap Nike Sb .com) - Monta Ellis had 28 points, 10 assists and four steals and the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Sacramento Kings 108-104 in overtime on Tuesday night. Tyson Chandler posted 16 points and 17 rebounds, while Rajon Rondo added 21 points, seven helpers and four swipes for Dallas, which snapped a brief two- game losing streak on the heels of a six-game winning stretch. DeMarcus Cousins was an assist shy of a triple-double, tallying 32 points, 16 boards and nine helpers before fouling out late in the fourth quarter. Darren Collison provided 18 points and seven boards for the Kings, who have alternated wins and losses over their last seven contests. The game was tied 83-83 early in the fourth before the Kings ripped off nine straight points. Collison had a dunk and a three-point play before Cousins capped the flurry with a reverse layup for a 92-83 Sacramento advantage. Dallas, though, closed regulation on a 14-4 surge to force overtime. Chandler and Rondo sandwiched baskets around a pair of Cousins free throws to claw Dallas within 99-97 with 56.7 seconds to play. A loose ball foul on Cousins sent Chandler to the line with 33.5 ticks on the clock and Chandler sunk both foul shots to knot the contest at 99-99. Cousins fouled out of the game on Sacramentos next trip up the floor when he committed an offensive foul. Ellis then took the clock down but was off the mark on a right elbow jumper at the buzzer. Rondo nailed a right wing triple with the shot clock running down with 1:14 remaining in overtime to stake the Mavs to a 104-102 advantage. Jason Thompson was fouled on a rebound with 51.2 ticks left, but split the pair of bonus shots. Dirk Nowitzki missed a jumper at the other end, but Chandler Parsons snatched the offensive rebound and Ellis made two foul shots with 8.7 seconds to play. Dallas elected to foul Collison, who sunk 1-of-2 from the charity stripe and two Ellis free throws with 5.7 ticks remaining sealed the outcome. Earlier, Sacramento led 33-29 following a quarter of play and was up 63-60 at the break. Neither team held a margin more than five in the third and the Kings took an 83-80 edge into the fourth. Former United States Mens National Team boss Bob Bradley now appears to be the lead contender for the position. Since parting ways with Martin Rennie at the end of the 2013 regular season a number of candidates have been interviewed by Vancouver but it was thought they were waiting to speak with Real Salt Lake head coach Jason Kreis who is out of contract at the Utah club at the end of this year. Now though, it appears the man that tops their list is Bradley. The former U.S. National Team head coach reportedly interviewed with the Caps last weekend and is available for a new challenge after leaving his role with Egypt earlier this month following their failure to qualify for the 2014 World Cup. Bradley would be a major catch for any MLS team. Its long been rumoured that he would be coaching in Canada next year, but Toronto rather than Vancouver looked the likely destination. Bradley has a resume that makes him one of the most experienced men to have coached in the North American game. He was an MLS original as an assistant to Bruce Arena in the leagues first season in 1996 and then won the MLS Cup and US Open Cup in his first MLS head coaching role with expansion club Chicago Fire in 1998. That season he was named MLS Coach of the Year. In 2003, the New Jersey native returned home for three years in charge of the New York/New Jersey Metrostars, and after a brief spell leading expansion side Chivas USA he was handed the top job with the United States. Bradleys time as U.S. head coach got off to a successful start winning the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup, setting the tone for a strong spell in charge of the national team. They performed well at the 2009 Confederations Cup, finishing as runner up, and then won their group at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa before losing in extra time to Ghana in the first match of the knockout stages. After leaving his post with the U.S. in 2011, Bradley took on maybe the most challenging role of his career, attempting to lead Egypt to qualification for Brazil 2014. Although, ultimately unsuccessful in getting the Egyptians to the World Cup, the way Bradley galvanized the team and dealt with an incredibly difficult ppolitical situation gained him many admirers around the world. Buy Nike Presto. He meets all the criteria set out by the Whitecaps at the start of their coaching search. President Bob Lenarduzzi said some big name candidates have been turned away because they have no experience in MLS - its thought former Manchester City and England Under 21 boss Stuart Pearce expressed an interest in the position. With Bradley, they get the big name, international experience and a deep knowledge of the North American game. He wont come cheap, so it would be an appointment that would turn heads in MLS and prove to the rest of the league that the Whitecaps mean business. Should talks with Bradley break down, the Whitecaps can either wait to see if Kreis becomes available or turn to current assistant coach Carl Robinson to fill the vacancy. I have an enormous amount of respect for Robinson and I am certain he has a big future ahead of him in the game as a head coach. If the Whitecaps give him the opportunity, he wont let them down. However, Bradleys experience in MLS and at international level would be a massive benefit to the Whitecaps organization. Whoever takes the club forward will have a young squad to work with and also plenty of room under the salary cap for the new coach to put his own stamp on the team. The Whitecaps declined the contract options on eight players this week and there are still other big decisions to be made on key personnel. One such player is club captain Jay DeMerit who is currently out of contract. DeMerit was named to the United States World Cup squad by Bradley in 2010 so if the 55-year-old does take control it would almost certainly lead to a new deal for the defender. These are interesting times in Vancouver. With the 2014 schedule being released there is now a date on the horizon that everyone is building towards. On Saturday, March 8 the Caps will kick off at BC Place against the 2013 Supporters Shield winners New York Red Bulls (live on TSN), but there is much work to be done before then. The Whitecaps have been patient in their search for a new coach, but the next couple of weeks should finally provide the answer as to who will be leading the club heading into its fourth season in Major League Soccer. CHARLOTTE, N. Air Max 90 Rosse Scontate .C. - Cam Newton said his focus is on getting back on the football field, not a new contract. The Panthers quarterback said Wednesday hes happy for San Franciscos Colin Kaepernick, who recently signed a six-year, $126 million contract. He even sent a congratulatory text message to Kaepernick, who beat Newton and the Panthers in the NFC divisional playoffs 23-10 in January. The Panthers have talked about a long-term contract for Newton but no deal has been completed. "For me, thats the last thing thats on my mind," Newton said. Newton didnt practice Wednesday as he continues to rehab his left ankle following surgery in March, but spoke to the media inside the stadium afterward. He said he wants to participate in next weeks three-day minicamp, but isnt sure if hell be ready. Newton and Kaepernick are linked in many respects because they came out of college the same year. Newton was selected first overall in the NFL draft in 2011, but only this past year did he finally get the Panthers to the playoffs. Kaepernick was selected 35 picks behind Newton but has helped the 49ers reach the NFC championship game three straight seasons. "Two different people, two different organizations," Newton said. "I wish Colin the best. ... I reached out and told him he deserved it. To do what he has done up to this point, he deserves to get paid." Newton can make an argument he does too based on three impressive statistical seasons. He has started every game for the Panthers since coming into the league and thrown for 11,299 yards with 64 touchdown passes and 42 interceptions. Hes also run for 2,032 yards and 28 TDs. But while general manager Dave Gettleman said Newton has proven to him that hes a franchise quarterback, the salary cap strapped Panthers havent signed the former Heisman Trophy winner to a long-term deal. The Panthers did pick up the option on the fifth year of Newtons rookie contract, which means Newtons salary will jump from $3.3 million this year to $14.6 million in 2015. Newton has been working on an underwater treadmill in recent weeks, receiving ice and stem treatments for his left ankle. Hes also been throwing passes on the side during six of the teams last nine OTA practices. He said hes still experiences some pain in his ankle that reminds him hes not quite 100 per cent. The teams three-day minicamp begins Tuesday. "Physically Im coming along fine and Im on page right where I expected to be, but mentally Im bored," Newton said. Newton said hes spent the last seven weeks pouring over game film from last year and practice film from OTAs. He acknowledged that while the extra time in the film room has been beneficial, he said it has become "a little monotonous." When he returns to the field Newton will be looking to develop some chemistry with an overhauled corps or wide receivers. The Panthers cut ties with their top four wide receivers from last year, including Newtons go-to guy Steve Smith. The team added free agents Jerricho Cotchery, Jason Avant and Tiquan Underwood and drafted Kelvin Benjamin in the first round. While Newton wasnt ready to say this years group of receivers is better than last years, he did say they have a chip on their shoulders. "The elephant in the room has already been stated," Newton said. "Those guys have already accepted the challenge. You dont have to go in there and tell those guys, Hey, youre projected (to be) the sorriest receiver (group) in the NFL. We already know. "But with that, those guys already have that fire in their eyes. I would rather those guys be like that and for them to go out there and bust their tails like theyve been doing. Its kind of like a slap in —not only their face — but my face as well." ___ AP NFL website www.pro32.ap.org ___ Follow Steve Reed on Twitter: http://twitter.com/SteveReedAP Air Max 90 Uomo Ingrosso . BALTIMORE -- A person familiar with the situation says free-agent pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez and the Baltimore Orioles have agreed to a contract, pending a physical. Tn Just Do It Noir . The person spoke on condition of anonymity Monday night because the deal had not been completed and the club had not made an announcement. Several media outlets reported earlier that the sides had reached an agreement, which is reportedly for about $50 million over four years. Jimenez went 13-9 with a 3.30 ERA in 32 starts for Cleveland last season. He turned down a $14.1 million qualifying offer from the Indians, so Baltimore would have to forfeit its first-round draft pick (17th overall) to sign him. Orioles executive vice-president Dan Duquette has been searching for a veteran starter for much of the off-season to help anchor the rotation. Jimenez is 82-75 with a 3.92 ERA over eight major league seasons. The 30-year-old right-hander broke into the majors with Colorado in 2006. His best season was 2010, when he went 19-8 with a 2.88 ERA in 33 starts for the Rockies. Air Max 95 Just Do It Pas Cher . Panthers spokesman Charlie Dayton said Wednesday that Newton was thankful for the care he received and is stiff and sore, but otherwise his spirits were high. Newton left the hospital with his family and will stay with them while recuperating. He will not be at the teams facility Wednesday. It remains unclear when Newton will return to action. That will be determined really on a day-to-day basis and well see how fast the soreness goes away, Dayton said. Hell start the recuperation process today. Newtons father Cecil and mother Jackie, who live in Atlanta, arrived in Charlotte Tuesday after the accident. The Panthers began practicing Wednesday in preparation for Sundays divisional game against Tampa Bay. Derek Anderson worked as the first-team quarterback. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police issued no citations for the accident. A police report states that Newton was driving when a car driven by Nestor Pellot Jr., 46, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, pulled out in front of the fourth-year quarterback, causing his vehicle to flip. The report said Pellot didnt see Newtons truck at first and when he did, he tried to avoid a collision. The report does not place blame on either driver. However, the report lists two witnesses who said Pellot pulled out in front of Newton, causing $9,000 damage to the quarterbacks 1998 Dodge truck. Pellots 2013 Buick suffered $4,000 damage. Like Newton, Pellot was also taken to the hospital but his injuries are unknown. Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman was at the league owners meeting in Irving, Texas on Tuesday when he received a call from his office about the crash. Im just thankful he was wearing a seatbelt and everyone involved is all right, Gettleman said Wednesday morning before boarding a plane back to Charlotte. Gettleman said he was horrified by the photos from the accident scene and that it wasnt until sometime later he breathed a sigh of relief. You spend so much time with these guys and they become part of the family, Gettleman said. The horrific-looking accident was the latest unfortunate turn in what has been a frustrating season for Neewton. Air Max 270 Just Do It Noir. He escaped life-threatening injuries in the accident but the crash has left his return to the field in question, and he was coming off perhaps his best game of the season. You look at the truck and you think, Man, Im glad there was nobody in the passenger seat because it could have been bad, Gettleman said. Newton has no internal injuries and will not need surgery. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo suffered the same injury description earlier this year against Washington and sat out one game before returning to action the following week. However, Romos injury came on the field, not in a car accident. Newton is also asked to run more than Romo and takes more hits than any quarterback in the league. Dr. Andrew Hecht, chief of spine surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, said Tuesday the transverse process is the small bone that sticks out of either side of the vertebrae. Hecht said while the injury can be extremely painful, the bones are of no significance in terms of the overall structural stability of the spine and there are normally no long-term issues. He said Newtons return to football will largely depend on how the quarterback feels, adding that Newton could have additional soft tissue damage. The Panthers have three games left in the regular season. They enter a crucial stretch one-half game behind the Saints and Falcons, both 5-8, in the NFC South. If the Panthers win their final three games and the Saints lose one game, Carolina will repeat as NFC South champions. Ironically, Newton missed Carolinas first game against Tampa Bay in Week 1 while recovering from ankle surgery and fractured ribs in the preseason. The two-time Pro Bowl quarterback is having a roller-coaster season, but put it all together Sunday against New Orleans. The Panthers (4-8-1) catapulted themselves back in the NFC South playoff race with a 41-10 rout of the Saints. Newton threw three touchdown passes and snapped a string of eight straight games with an interception. An Atlanta native, Newton led the Auburn Tigers to a national championship in 2010. Newton is under contract through 2015 after the Panthers picked up a one-year option on his rookie deal. Newton will make approximately $15 million next season. Once our offense catches up with our defense well be back to...winning more games, Lowry said. Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan, who recently missed 21 games with a groin injury and was held scoreless his previous two games, finished with six points on only 2-of-11 shooting. Valanciunas is listed as questionable Friday with a sore calf. The Raptors will host the Detroit Pistons on Sunday. Soriano returned to New York midway through last season and sparked the offence with 17 home runs in 58 games. But Soriano hit just .221 this season with six homers and 23 RBIs in 67 games. The Yankees announced the move shortly after acquiring Arizona right-handed starter Brandon McCarthy for lefty Vidal Nuno. "We designated Soriano, which is extremely difficult because hes been a great Yankee and a great player," New York manager Joe Girardi said before Sundays game at Minnesota. Sorianos playing time decreased considerably this year after New York signed Jacoby Ellsbury and Carlos Beltran in the off-season. He recently has been splitting time in right field with Ichiro Suzuki since Beltran was injured and is now limited to designated hitter. But the slugger who started his major league career with the Yankees in 1999 and has 412 career homers has not connected since May 17 and has struck out 71 times in 226 at-bats. The 38-year-old Soriano is in the final year of an eight-year, $136 million deal he signed with the Chicago Cubs, who are paying $13 million of his $18 million salary thiis year. Michael Thomas Womens Jersey. The Yankees have 10 days to trade or place Soriano on unconditional waivers. If he clears waivers, New York can release him. "For Soriano, its a guy that came in and did a tremendous job for us last year, has had his struggles this year and hes a guy thats used to playing every day," Girardi said. "Wasnt every day for him, maybe it was harder for him to get going, not sure. Im sure hes extremely disappointed. Soriano always takes things with class." The Yankees recalled pitcher Bruce Billings from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Billings pitched in one game for New York this season, allowing four runs in four innings on April 25 against the Los Angeles Angels. Girardi has an open spot in the starting rotation after Nuno was traded to the Diamondbacks. Nuno was slated to start on Monday and McCarthy pitched on Thursday. New York wont force McCarthy into Nunos spot on short rest. Billings -- who has started 11 games in Triple-A -- wont be a candidate to start on Monday, Girardi said. An announcement will be made later. "The taxing of our bullpen kind of forced us to make this move, in a sense," Girardi said. "Im not saying it wouldnt have happened, but we decided we had to make it today because we need to."
