SANTA CLARA, Calif. Vince Williams Steelers Jersey . - Gyasi Zardes scored in the 62nd minute on Saturday night to give the LA Galaxy a 1-0 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes in front of 50,006 fans at Stanford Stadium. Robbie Keane found Marcelo Sarvas in the centre of the box on a cross from the left. Sarvas laid it off to Zardes, who finished in the back of the net for his third goal of the season. The Galaxy (5-3-5) extended their unbeaten streak to five games for the first time since the 2012 season and moved up to a tie for sixth place with the Portland Timbers. The Quakes (4-6-4) had their best chance to draw even on a header by Steven Lenhart in the 88th minute. Galaxy goalkeeper Jaime Penedo blocked it safely over the top of the goal — the only save needed in his second shutout of the season. William Gay Steelers Jersey . - Whether its because of her improved play or the reason for it, Michelle Wie appears as comfortable on and off the golf course as at any time in her career. Ernie Stautner Steelers Jersey . Right-hander Todd Redmond took the loss. Jose Bautista hit his second home run of the spring. But Chelsea failed to make the most of its counterattacks and the Turkish champions equalized in the second half after gaining in confidence and cutting out their defensive mistakes.Oakland, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Golden State Warriors could be facing another extended absence from Andrew Bogut. The team announced Thursday that the oft-injured center will be sidelined indefinitely due to swelling in his right knee, with Bogut to undergo platelet-rich plasma therapy to treat the problem. Bogut has missed the Warriors last four games with knee pain. An MRI taken last week revealed chrondomalacia, an inflammation of the patella and deterioration of cartilage, as well as bone edema. Houston Rockets All-Star Dwight Howard missed 11 games earlier this season after also having a PRP procedure performed on his knee. We fully support Andrew in his decision to undergo the PRP treatment, said Warriors general manager Bob Myers. Our number one concern is that Andrew is 100 percent healthy and we will continue to support him in any way we can to make that happen. Jack Lambert Steelers Jersey. Injuries have plagued Bogut throughout his 10-year NBA career, and particularly so in recent years. The 2005 No. 1 overall pick was limited to just 12 games by a fractured ankle while with Milwaukee in 2011-12, and played in only 32 after being traded to Golden State the following season while recovering from the break. The native Australian also sat out last years Western Conference quarterfinal series with the Los Angeles Clippers because of a broken rib. Bogut had been healthy for much of this season, starting Golden States first 20 games and helping the Warriors to an NBA-best 21-3 start. The 7-footer has averaged 7.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks. NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

A year prior the Giants finished as a top-10 defensive unit. No one person is responsible for what happened in this year, said Giants head coach Tom Coughlin. That has to be loud and clear. If there is any one person responsible, it is me. The simple fact off the matter is in the circumstance that we find ourselves, change is necessary. Joe Ledley Jersey. It is with great deliberation over a lengthy period of time throughout a thorough investigation and evaluation of what went on that I came to the conclusion that change was necessary. This is the second straight season the Giants made significant coaching changes. Last year, offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride retired, giving way to Ben McAdoo. SAN FRANCISCO -- Pat Shine joined the Miami Marlins to be their go-to guy for evaluating and monitoring replay scenarios. Kiko Casilla Real Madrid Jersey . On Saturday night, Shine left AT&T Park with a souvenir game ball for his heads-up performance behind the scenes in a 5-0 victory over the San Francisco Giants. It saved Miami from giving up an early run that could have swung the momentum. Marlins manager Mike Redmond requested a review of whether Brandon Hicks touched first base on a second-inning double. The play was overturned in 2 minutes, 42 seconds, and became a putout from the pitcher to first baseman. That left Hector Sanchez on third base with two outs, and Brandon Crawford ended the inning on a deep fly to centre. "That was unbelievable. In my mind, Pat Shine won the game today," winning pitcher Tom Koehler said. "I looked at the replay to see how close it was. Second inning of the game and if youre wrong you burn your challenge in the second inning. Hes been doing a great job all year and thats why he got the game ball today when we came in from the field. Thats no joke. He got the game ball." Giancarlo Stanton homered and tripled to back Koehler (4-3) in his first road win. He struck out seven in seven innings to finally win in five tries away from South Florida after coming into his outing 0-3 on the road to start the year. He allowed four hits and walked two in his first road victory since Sept. 22, at Washington. Garrett Jones hit an RBI triple, Jarrod Saltalamacchia had a sacrifice fly and Adeiny Hechavarria singled to drive in a run for Miami. The Marlins improved to 11-2 at AT&T Park since 2011. Tim Lincecum (3-3), coming off his best start of the year with an 11-strikeout performance in a season-high 7 2-3 innings to beat Atlanta on Monday, never found his groove. On a night thousands in the sellout crowd donned orange giveaway Fedoras, the Giants were handed consecutive home losses for just the second time all year and first since April 9-10 against Arizona. San Francisco figures it missed a scoring opportunity in the second via a replay review. Giants coach Shawon Dunston, who works the replay room in the clubhouse, said the right call was made -- though Hicks thought he glanced the bag. He didnt plan to watch the replay, ready to move on from the mistake. "The umpires were right," Dunston said. "He didnt touch it. They got it right." Stanton, whose career-high 17-game hitting streak ended with an 0 for 5 on Friday, hit a two-out triple in the third -- his first since Sept. 15, 2012, off Cincinnatis Johnny Cueto. Stanton hit his 12th homer in the seventh. Kevin Slowey, Miamis third pitcher, got into trouble in the ninth and Steve Cishek entered to finish the six-hit shutout with his ninth save. San Francisco went 0 for 6 with runners in scoring position and left nine on base. "Ive said this many times, when you dont hit and score runs, you look flat," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. "That was the game. We couldnt knock in runs." Suspended infielder Miguel Tejada was quoted as telling ESPN Deportes he had signed a minor league contract with the Marlins pending a physical. He served 41 games of a 105-game suspension last year for testing positive for an amphetamine. Tejada would be eligible to play in the Marlins 65th game, which barring rainouts would be June 10 at Texas. He could appear in minor league games at Double-A or lower on May 31. NOTES: Giants C Buster Posey had the night off until grounding out as a pinch-hitter in the ninth. ... Giants RHP Tim Hudson tested his strained left hip with an up-tempo throwing session on flat ground and was scheduled to throw a bullpen Sunday. Hes on target to make his next start Thursday at Colorado. He made 30-40 throws from up to about 80 feet. ... Both managers were still talking about two exclamation-point catches a night earlier -- Stantons grab of a fly by Michael Morse at the StubHub! sign in right field and San Francisco CF Angel Pagans over-the-shoulder catch of a ball by Derek Dietrich at the YAHOO! sign in left-centre. Pagan landed hard on his left shoulder trying to make a diving catch Saturday. ... Giants athletic trainer Dave Groeschner remains optimistic of 2B Marco Scutaro returning from a back injury this year. "Thats our goal," Groeschner said. Scutaro is working with a physical therapist in Arizona. James Rodriguez Jersey .C. -- Charles Oakley, one of the NBAs all-time tough guys, may not return to the Charlotte Bobcats bench next season because of a painful back condition he says was caused during an assault last year in Las Vegas. Daniel Carvajal Jersey . "This doesnt end anything," he said. "Weve got 10-1 in our last 11 games, and were going home in first place. We just have to keep playing the way we are right now. http://www.realmadridsoccerpro.com/Authentic-James-Rodriguez-Real-Madrid-Jersey/ . The New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists detailed in a report how Russian and international journalists have been harassed and prevented from covering sensitive stories in Sochi such as the abuse of migrant workers and environmental issues.MONTREAL -- Nate Thompson scored twice, including in overtime, to give the Tampa Bay Lightning a 2-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday afternoon. Ben Bishop stopped 28 shots for Tampa Bay (32-18-5), which snapped a two-game losing streak. Daniel Briere was the lone goal scorer for Montreal (29-20-6). Carey Price made 34 saves. Thompson scored at 4:36 of overtime when Alex Killorn found him all alone in from of Prices net. The Lightning now have a five-point advantage over the Canadiens in the Atlantic Division. After the Lightning took a 1-0 lead in the second period, Briere levelled the score at 7:25 of the third, taking a cross-ice pass from captain Brian Gionta and firing home his ninth of the season over Bishops shoulder. The goal was Brieres second in as many games. Thompson was credited with the games first goal, at 5:58 of the second, after P.K. Subban put the puck in his own net. With Killorn in the penalty box for interference, Thompson skated into the Canadiens zone and sent an innocent-looking pass in the direction of the net. Subban deflected the puck between Prices legs to give Tampa Bay the lead on a short-handed goal. The Bolts tested Price early on, benefiting from a penalty shot at 4:41 of the first when rookie defenceman Nathan Beaulieu hooked Nikita Kucherov on a breakaway. Kucherov tried beating Price under the blocker, but the Canadiens netminder got the bettter of him. Cristiano Ronaldo Real Madrid Jersey. Sparks flew late in the second when Brandon Prust and Bishop shared a few words and exchanged punches during a television timeout. Prust approached Bishop, who took offence at his comments and swung at the Montreal forwards head. Prust answered with a couple of jabs of his own before referees separated them. All players on the ice got involved in the scrum. Five players were penalized on the play, including Price for leaving his goaltender crease. Bishop and Prust each got a minor penalty. Tampa Bay survived a late-game penalty before the game was sent to overtime. Christian Thomas, called up from the Hamilton Bulldogs on Thursday, made only his second career NHL appearance, and first for the Canadiens. The Montreal Canadiens took to the Bell Sports Complex ice on Sunday for a third straight day of practice since completing their opening-round sweep of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Jon Bostic Patriots Jersey . Only this time, they were preparing for a date with the 2013-14 Presidents Trophy winning Boston Bruins, who secured their spot in the second round after defeating the Detroit Red Wings in five games. Meeting for the fourth time in seven seasons and for the 34th occasion all-time, the Canadiens and Bruins get together in an Eastern Conference second round series that begins this week. "Youre going to have to fight for everything. Theres no such thing as an easy game when you play against Boston," Canadiens defenceman Josh Gorges said following practice. "Theyre very well structured. They play a great team game. Youre going to have to fight for your real estate, youre going to have to fight to get on the inside and to get second chances in front of the net. "If were going to succeed, were going to have to do everything we can in the dirty areas." Gorges, who will face the Bruins in the postseason for the third time in his NHL career, was unable to take part in the Canadiens most recent playoff meeting with Boston in 2011 after undergoing season-ending knee surgery. "What the Bruins have done in the last few years in the playoffs has been as good as or better than any other team in the league," added Gorges. "We know we have a great challenge ahead of us. Its going be hard. Its going to be a long series. Weve got to be prepared for that." The last time the Bruins and Canadiens met in the playoffs was in 2011, when Boston ousted Montreal in seven games in its march to winning the Stanley Cup championship. No teams have come close to meeting in the playoffs as many times as the Bruins and Canadiens. The 170 games between the Bruins and Canadiens are the most for playoff opponents; the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs are next with 117. "Theyre a good team; they know how to win. Theyve shown that by winning the Cup a few years back and making the Stanley Cup Finals last year," winger Thomas Vanek said of the much-anticipated series. "I know TD Garden is a tough building to play in, but so is the Bell Centre. For us to have success or for anyone to have success, youre going to have to beat some really good teams in order to win that ultimate prize. The Bruins are one of those teams." The Bruins lost three of their four games against the Canadiens this season, including two games played in Boston. The Canadiens have won six of the past seven games and are 351-264-103-7 in the regular season against the Bruins. "The Bruins are the same team they were in the regular season. Thats what makes them so good," defenceman Mike Weaver said. "Theyre going to be an extremely tough team to play against and it will be a great challenge for us. Thats what playoffs are all about. You hear a lot of things about that rivalry, but playoffs take things to another level." Head coach Michel Therrien made a change to his line up at practice on Sunday, opting to put a healthy Travis Moen on the fourth line - a move to bring in more veteran presence against an experienced Bruins team. Juventus squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at promoted Hellas Verona on Sunday and miss the chance to extend its Serie A lead to 11 points. Sebastian Vollmer Patriots Jersey . A last-minute leveler ensured the two-time defending champion remained nine points ahead of Roma, which drew 0-0 at bitter rival Lazio in the capital derby. Roma has a match in hand on Juventus after last weeks game against Parma was called off due to a waterlogged pitch. "Its not good enough to dominate for 45 minutes, seeing as the slightest lack of concentration can make everything in vain," Juventus coach Antonio Conte said. "We let them back into the game... it was unacceptable. A lost chance. "Were conceding a lot from deadball situations, we need to focus more. Its useless to study our opponents tactics and then make mistakes like this." Carlos Tevez scored twice in the first half for Juventus to take his tally to 13 for the season. But Luca Toni reinforced his bid for a World Cup spot when he reduced the deficit with his 11th goal in 20 matches and substitute Juanito Gomez Taleb, who only came on in the 86th minute, levelled deep in stoppage time. Verona is level on points with fifth-placed Inter Milan which beat Sassuolo 1-0 in the evening match. "We drew against a great team and we are very happy with this point," Gomez said. "Safety remains our aim though, not qualifying for Europe. Were doing well." Gomez, who said the team had been inspired by a halftime pep talk from Verona coach Andrea Mandorlini, added: "He is a man who never gives up. He hugged me because he told me I would score." Earlier, Bologna inched away from the relegation zone following a surprise 2-1 win at high-flying Torino. Elsewhere, it was: Sampdoria 1, Cagliari 0; Parma 0, Catania 0; and Livorno 0, Genoa 1. Juventus got off to the perfect start when Rafael could only parry Kwadwo Asamoahs strike and Tevez slotted home the rebound for a fourth-minute lead. Tevez -- who celebrated his 30th birthday on Wednesday -- doubled his tally in the 21st minute when he beat the offside trap to fire in Paul Pogbas through ball. Verona reduced the deficit seven minutes after halftime when former Juventus striker Toni headed in Romulos free-kick. There were suspicions of offside, as there had been for Tevezs second. Pablo Osvaldo made his Juventus debut following his loan move from Southampton and almost scored a minute after coming off the bench but his effort clipped the outside of the left post. The Italy striker did have the ball in the back of the net but it was ruled out as Asamoah had been offside when providing the assist. Verona almost levelled in the 79th minute as Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon pulled off a stunning fingertip save to keep out a Toni header. However, Gomez Taleb headed in Romulos cross in the fourth minute of stoppage time as Verona snatched a deserved draw. The equalizer prevented Juventus from extending its lead at the top of the table to 11 points and keeps the title race alive. Roma had the best of the chances as Lazio could not manage even one shot on target the whole match. Gervinho thought he had scored his third goal of the week midway through the first half, but it was ruled out for offside. Lazio club captain Stefano Mauri came on in the second half for his first appearance this season following a ban for his role in the match-fixing scandal. In Milan, Sassuolo goalkeeper Gianluca Pegolo kept his side in the game with a series of fine saves, notably denying Diego Milito twice from point-blank range at the end of the first half. Inter defender Walter Samuel headed in a corner three minutes after the interval. Last time the two sides met, at the beginning of the season, Inter humiliated Sassuolo 7-0. At the other end of the table, Bologna moved four points above the relegation zone with its first win at Torino since Dec. 1980. Torino, which is pushing for a Europa League place, took the lead in the fifth minute when Ciro Immobile was left unmarked to head home Matteo Darmians cross for his seventh goal in as many matches. However, a brace from Jonathan Cristaldo handed Bologna its second win in 13 matches. Livorno is level on 17 points with Sassuolo, with bottom club Catania a point further back after hitting the woodwork twice in its draw at Parma. LONDON -- Manchester City substitutes Jesus Navas and James Milner recovered a 4-2 victory at Fulham on Saturday after the visit

LONDON -- Manchester City substitutes Jesus Navas and James Milner recovered a 4-2 victory at Fulham on Saturday after the visitors threw away a two-goal lead in a rain-lashed English Premier League encounter. Ivan Rakitic Jersey . Yaya Toure put City in front with his fourth goal from a free kick this season and captain Vincent Kompany fired in Citys second just before halftime. But five minutes after the break City conceded possession near the Fulham penalty area, and Kieran Richardson completed a rapid counterattack to begin the hosts fightback. In wild, windy conditions on the banks of the River Thames, Fulham was gifted an equalizer in the 69th. Kompany inexplicably sliced the ball past his own goalkeeper Joe Hart, who was recalled after being dropped in league games since October. But Navas restored Citys lead in the 78th when he slotted through goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburgs legs. And City ripped through the Fulham defence again five minutes later as Milner scored to condemn Fulham to an eighth loss in nine league games. While Fulham is next from bottom, City rose provisionally into second place, a point behind Liverpool. "It was a really difficult match because the pitch wasnt good and it was very windy," City manager Manuel Pellegrini said. City can be overtaken by either Arsenal or Chelsea, who play on Monday, but the teams status as the leagues most formidable attack was reinforced here against the most porous defence. While City has a leading-leading 55 goals, Fulham has conceded a high of 32. But away from the Etihad Stadium, City has averaged only a point a game this season, and the intensity from the hosts was greater from the outset. The City defence was easily beaten after 13 minutes, as Adel Taarabt forced Hart into making a fine diving save -- one of several that convinced Pellegrini to retain the goalkeeper for Thursdays match against Liverpool. "At the moment he deserved to play today and he also deserves to continue," Pellegrini said. "When I put (Costel) Pantilimon in the starting XI I spoke with Joe and he understood that he was not in a good moment. "Maybe seven games after, one month after, hes working very hard, and I thought that he deserved another opportunity, and I think he did it well." Citys opener came in the 23rd minute from a set-piece. After Silva was brought down on the edge of the area, Toure curled in a free kick off the underside of the crossbar. City extended its lead in the 43rd. Silvas free kick was met by the unmarked Martin Demichelis at the far post. An initial header was saved well by Stekelenburg, but the ball was pushed straight to Kompany to fire in. "The goals that we concede, from set plays, its not good enough defending, especially the one just before halftime," Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen said. "I was hoping the experience would kick in a bit from some of these players, to steady the ship." That appeared to happen at the start of the second half. Silva was tackled near the Fulham penalty area by Scott Parker, allowing Fulham to surge forward and score. Taarabt rampaged down the left flank past Demichelis who squared into the centre for Richardson to sweep the ball in. City responded by taking off ineffective striker Dzeko, and bringing Navas on, leaving Negredo as the lone striker. But Hart was beaten again, this time by his own player. Sascha Riether whipped a cross into the penalty, and Kompany managed to turn the ball into his own goal. Kompanys blushes were spared, though, by Navas. The winger raced onto Silvas throughball, cut in from the right and slotted through Stekelenburgs legs from a tight angle. And Milner ensured a comfortable conclusion for City, meeting Negredos cross and netting his first league goal of the season. Fulham did not risk playing Dimitar Berbatov after the striker picked up a groin injury in training. Kansas City, KS (SportsNetwork. Cheap Tedy Bruschi Jersey .com) - Championship contender Kevin Harvick won his eighth pole of the season in the Sprint Cup Series, while defending series titleholder Jimmie Johnson struggled in Fridays qualifying for the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway. Harvick, in his first season as driver of the No. 4 Chevrolet for Stewart-Haas Racing, grabbed the pole for Sundays 400-mile race at Kansas after posting a lap at 197.621 mph in the third and final round of knockout qualifying. He set a new track qualifying record at this 1.5-mile racetrack when he turned a lap at 197.773 mph during the second round. It was the 20th time this season that a new track qualifying record has been set in NASCARs premier series. Harvick has surpassed a previous track record six times in 2014 -- Texas, Michigan, Indianapolis, Bristol and both Kansas races. One year ago when he drove for Richard Childress Racing, Harvick won the Chase race at Kansas after starting on the pole and leading the most laps with 138. When the series most recently competed here in May, the first night race at this track, he started on the pole and led the most laps with 119 but finished second to Jeff Gordon. For whatever reason, this fits everything that I have going on with my driving style, Harvick said. But in the end, its all about having fast cars. Last year, we had a fast car, and this year, we have had a fast car as well. So just have to thank everybody on my Budweiser (sponsor) team for staying focused, continuing to build better race cars and controlling all the things that we can control. Our cars are fast, we are qualifying well, our pit stops are good, cars are reliable and everything is good. We just need a little bit of good luck to go with it. Its just like I keep telling these guys - that stuff will all come full circle and hopefully it does it at the right time this year. Harvick has two wins in Sprint Cup this season but has not been to victory lane in the series since April 12 at Darlington (21 races ago). I just feel like with a little bit of good luck we can beat every car here, every week, at any style racetrack, he said. Everything is there. Its just a matter of having everything come together on the luck side. Well just keep plugging away. While Harvick claimed his 14th career pole in Cup, Johnson qualified 32nd, which matched his worst starting position in a race this season. Making his second lap in the first qualifying round, Johnsons car spun out in turn 2. He did not make contact with anything. Brian Vickers, who is not in the Chase, will start on the front row for the first time this season after qualifying second at 196.307 mph. Wow, that was a fun lap, Vickers said. Aric Almirola, who was eliminated from the Chase last weekend at Dover, qualified third, matching his best starting spot of the season. Joey Logano grabbed the fourth position, followed by Jeff Gordon, who leads all drivers with three victories at Kansas. Im happy with where we ended up, Gordon said. A top-five, you have to be happy with that starting position. Qualifying sixth through 12th were: Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne, Greg Biffle and Carl Edwards. Logano, Gordon, Keselowski, Busch, Earnhardt, Kahne and Edwards remain in the Chase. Kansas is the first of three races in round 2 of the playoffs, known as the Contender Round. The other Chase drivers and their starting positions are: Ryan Newman (17th), Denny Hamlin (25th) and Matt Kenseth (27th). All 43 drivers who attempted qualifying made the starting field for Sundays race. Cheap Patriots Jersey . "Last year we were in a ton of situations, late-game situations we couldnt pull out. He just didnt have anything to show for it. He wasnt happy with much of his performance Friday night, but it was good enough to snap an 11-game winless streak. Lorenzo Cain had a two-run double to highlight a five-run first inning, Guthrie pitched into the sixth inning and the Kansas City Royals extended their winning streak to five games with a 7-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox. "Baseball is a very funny game," Guthrie said. "This is a very ironic way to pick up a win after a long stretch -- not pitch very well, not pitch too deep in the game, but do enough to help the team win." Guthrie (3-6) allowed two runs and six hits in 5 2-3 innings. Before Friday, he had gone at least seven innings in four of his last five games. His last win was on April 9, against Tampa Bay. "This is probably the worst game hes had in this streak," Royals manager Ned Yost said. The right-hander had pitched well enough to win on several occasions, but received the lowest run support in the AL (2.59) during that span. That wasnt an issue Friday. Eric Hosmer and Billy Butler each had two RBIs, including a run-scoring single in the first inning, for Kansas City. Jose Quintana (3-7) never recovered from the slow start, allowing six runs and eight hits in six innings. Jose Abreu went 1 for 4 with an RBI for the White Sox. The Royals staked Guthrie to a five-run lead before he took the mound. The first four batters -- Nori Aoki, Omar Infante, Hosmer and Butler -- all singled to make it 2-0 and fifth-place hitter Alex Gordon followed with a double to right field to make it 3-0. After Quintana struck out Salvador Perez for the first out of the game, Cain stroked a double to left to drive in two more and made it 5-0. "In the past Qs always been a little slow coming out of the first inning," Chicago manager Robin Ventura said. "But they were swinging it. They barrelled him up and it happened fast." The White Sox got a run back in the bottom of the fiirst on a sacrifice fly by Abreu. Cheap Rob Gronkowski Jersey. The Royals got it back in the top of the second on a sacrifice fly by Hosmer. Chicago loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom half of the inning as Alexei Ramirez and Dayan Viciedo singled and Alejandro De Aza walked, but the White Sox pushed across just one run -- on a walk to Adam Eaton -- to make it 6-2. "I didnt come out aggressive enough," Guthrie said. "A couple of walks and I loaded the bases in the second. I was very fortunate to get out of the first two innings with just a couple of runs and then I was able to settle down down the stretch." Guthrie struck out Tyler Flowers with no outs and then struck out Gordon Beckham with one out following the walk to Eaton. Conor Gillaspie then flied out to centre to end the inning. The starters then settled down and neither team scored over the next four innings. "He was at 74 pitches through three and I was like, OK, if you can just get us through five with the lead, thats going to be a heck of a job," Brewers manager Ned Yost said of Guthrie. "He ended up throwing 14 pitches in the fourth inning, six pitches in the fifth and got two outs in the sixth." Kansas City added a run in the seventh on Hosmers run-scoring single to make it 7-2. NOTES: Royals SS Alcides Escobar left the game in the eighth inning with a cramp in the left calf. "If he feels tightness tomorrow, well probably give him the day off," Yost said. .The White Sox have signed RHP Henry Rodriguez to a minor league contract. Rodriguez, released by Miami earlier this season, has been assigned to Triple-A Charlotte and will begin on the DL. ... The last time LHP Chris Sale had a high pitch count he landed on the DL for a month, but Ventura had no problems with the Chicago ace throwing 116 on Thursday. "He felt great going there and he didnt have that inning where he really had to fight through it and battle," Ventura said. ... LHP Danny Duffy (3-5) takes on RHP Hector Noesi (2-4) in the second game of the series Saturday. NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

Louisville, KY (SportsNetwork. Comprar Air Max 1 Hombre .com) - Sophomore forward Akoy Agau will transfer from Louisville at the end of the fall semester, the school said Thursday. Agau had sports hernia surgery on July 29 and has played just 11 minutes in three games this season. He scored 17 points in 19 games as a freshman. Louisville said he hasnt chosen a new school yet but will be given his full release to transfer. The Sudanese-born Agau moved to Egypt as a child before coming to the United States in 2002. In the baseball sense, while he continues to put in the time and the work, he could just as easily be somewhere else. Relegated to a long role in the bullpen since returning as a September call up, Romeros appeared in just one game, a two-inning outing against the Angels almost two weeks ago. "Its different," Romero told TSN.ca. "Its definitely something Ive never been used to but Im adapting to it. As they say, youve got to be comfortable being uncomfortable sometimes and Im getting my work done." At this point, it seems doubtful Romero will get a start prior to the season ending next Sunday. Manager John Gibbons remains committed to his current five-man group of R.A. Dickey, Mark Buehrle, J.A. Happ, Todd Redmond and Esmil Rogers. Happ is scheduled to pitch on Monday in a make up game in Chicago, the Jays last remaining game against a fellow non-contender. If there was to be an opportunity for Romero, or Kyle Drabek, to get the call, that would have been it. Romero knows he wont be pitching late in a close game. With the rotations improved performance of late and the larger number of available relievers in September, there havent been many innings to parcel out. Still, Romero tries to stay prepared. "If its been a few days and I feel like I need to work and just kind of to stay fresh Ill go in there and ask (pitching coach) Pete (Walker) and get some work done," he said. "Obviously, like I said, its something that Ive never really been used to. You know, (Friday,) getting up and you fire away and its crazy. Its a different feeling. We have a good group of guys down there that, you just continue to learn and appreciate those guys even more. Not that I didnt before but now youre like, wow, kind of like its a little bit of a chaos that goes down there when that phone rings and everyones just kind of watching (bullpen coach) Pat (Hentgen) to see whose name hes going to call out. "Its a different adrenaline rush," Romero continued. "I dont like it. I like my starter role but, like I said, its a little different but Im adapting to it." Like appearances this month, nothing is guaranteed Romero heading into next season. Hes back on the 40-man roster but he could, once again, be designated for assignment to clear space for someone else. Owed at least $15.6-million over the next two seasons, its difficult to imagine another club making a waiver claim for such a steep price. Romero understands the business side of the game. He tries to avoid thinking about it when possible. "Stay positive and just go about my business and continue to do that and just be ready whenever my name is called," he said. "Thats all I can do. I dont make those decisions on when Im going to come in and stuff like that. All I can do is just continue to come here, put on my uniform and go to work." Admittedly tired of the questions about his future, about how hes handled the adversity of the last almost two calendar years and about where he sees his career going, Romero insists he will emerge stronger than before. "These struggles go beyond baseball," he said. "It goes beyondd all that stuff. Comprar Nike Air Max 90 Essential Baratas. . Its made me tougher in other aspects of life. Its one of those things where this games not easy. I dont want to go out there and fail. I think I have spurts where I go out there and think about it and reflect on stuff. The past, theres nothing I can do about it anymore. Nobodys more disappointed than me but at the same time its a learning experience and from talking to the older guys theyre like, man, this is going to make so much better for years to come for you and one day youre going to look back on it and its not going to matter that much. Thats the way I kind of approach things, one day at a time, come in, do my work and go to home just knowing that youre giving it your all." SANTOS DEALING After his perfect inning on Saturday night, Sergio Santos hasnt allowed a run in 16 appearances dating back to August 16 nor a hit in 14 appearances dating to August 20. "Just command right now," said Santos of whats working for him. "Just kind of, I feel like Im throwing strikes and attacking hitters and just getting myself an opportunity to get ahead. Im doing that so hopefully I can keep doing it." Santos was acquired from the White Sox on December 6, 2011, for Nestor Molina, with the expectation he would be the Blue Jays closer. Injuries opened the door for Casey Janssen to take over the role. He saved 30 games for Chicago two seasons ago and, following a surgical elbow clean up earlier this year, Santos offered up reason for Jays fans to be confident in him down the road. "To me, I feel better (than in 2011,)" he said. "I feel better just because Im able to command my fastball a little more consistently to the inner and outer half so Im feeling good right now, Im kind of in a little groove right now and hopefully I can keep it going for as long as I can." DELABAR GRINDING Steve Delabars been struggling of late. Hes allowed at least one run (five total) in each of his last three appearances, marking only the second time this season hes allowed runs in consecutive outings. Delabar missed most of August with right shoulder inflammation from which hes recovered. Now, he admits, hes fatigued. "Where we are in the season and, you know, mentally just as much as physically everybodys beat down right now," he said. "Everybody on our side is probably on the same level right now. Im just, like everybody else, just grinding it out and finishing the season strong." Delabar, at 30, is completing his first full season in the big leagues and with it has come some lessons. "Youve got to pace yourself," he said. "You come out in April, in spring training, and all the throws that you make from before BP to during BP and you feel great so youre letting it go. You maybe catch a fly ball off the wall and you turn around and you fire it in and you cant do that. Youve got to pace yourself out and realize that those throws count even more later on. Casey (Janssen) and (Darren) Oliver, they tell you that kind of stuff and it really doesnt sink in until you actually need them. Youre going, hey, yeah, that makes sense. Just pace yourself throughout the season and dont go crazy." NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

Notes on Phil Kessel, Nazek Kadri, Nathan MacKinnon, Thomas Vanek, Raphael Diaz and more in Scott Cullens latest blog. [url=http

Posted in IYH Forums by jokergreen0220 at 09:41, Nov 25 2016

Notes on Phil Kessel, Nazek Kadri, Nathan MacKinnon, Thomas Vanek, Raphael Diaz and more in Scott Cullens latest blog. Shay Facey Jersey . 1. While the Toronto Maple Leafs were on on a nice run, 9-1-1 in their previous 11 games, prior to Tuesdays 4-1 loss in Florida and a couple of their most skilled forwards have been at the forefront of the Maple Leafs charge. In the past 13 games, during which he has recorded points in 11, Kessel has 10 goals and 13 assists. He ranks second in the league with 30 goals and fifth with 61 points. The thing about Kessels hot streak is that hes not even generating as many shots as he typically does -- 3.39 per game over the past dozen, 3.79 per game for the season -- so hes on a pretty good run with percentages, and currently has the second-best shooting percentage (13.6%) of his career. While those percentages may be higher than normal, its hardly unusual for Kessel to score goals. Since the start of the 2008-2009 season, he ranks fifth in the NHL in goals, behind Alex Ovechkin, Steven Stamkos, Corey Perry and Patrick Marleau. Also, not surprisingly, Kessel isnt the only Leafs forward on fire. Nazem Kadri has tallied four goals and 11 assists in the past 10 games, doing good work primarily with Joffrey Lupul and Nikolai Kulemin on the Leafs second line. This run has left Kadri with 41 points in 54 games, which is, incidentally, right around the pace of the points projection I had for him in the preseason, when I forecasted 58 points in 76 games. It also turns out that, on a team with disastrous puck possession numbers, Kessel and Kadri have been two of the best at driving play towards the offensive zone. This is relative, of course, but it turns out that the Leafs skilled forwards are the ones leading the way. 2. Predators D Shea Weber has gone on a scoring binge, putting up eight goals and 17 assists in the past 26 games. Percentages are working in Webers favour, as he is scoring on a career-high 11.3% of his shots, while his 2.46 shots per game is his lowest rate since 2006-2007, but Weber leads defencemen with 15 goals and is tied for fifth among blueliners with 38 points. Webers 0.70 points per game is a career-best. Considering that Weber does this while facing the oppositions best lines, night after night, hes forcing his way into Norris Trophy consideration again. 3. Januarys Rookie of the Month was Tampa Bay Lightning LW Ondrej Palat, who scored 16 points (5 G, 11 A) in 15 games in January. Palat was a seventh-round pick in 2011, after scoring 96 points in 61 games with Drummondville of the QMJHL as a 19-year-old. Its pretty serious draft value to secure a player who can play top-six forward minutes two seasons later. Following his impressive January, Palat played a career-high 23:00 against Montreal on February 1. Palat and fellow rookie C Tyler Johnson have been thriving on a line with veteran RW Martin St. Louis, a situation that figures to change soon when Steven Stamkos returns to the lineup, and Palat has been benefitting from strong percentages at both ends of the rink, but even if his role changes, Palat has established that he can be a contributing part of the Tampa Bay attack. 4. Palat may have been the rookie of the month, but the current frontrunner for Rookie of the Year sure appears to be Avalanche C Nathan MacKinnon, the first overall pick in last summers draft. MacKinnon was eased into the NHL, playing 14:33 per game in October, scoring a goal and seven points in 11 games, but hes been up over 17 minutes per game since, tallying 19 goals and 16 assists in 45 games since the beginning of November. MacKinnons possession numbers still have room to improve, but hes 18-year-old and already emerging as an offensive force. 5. The top scorer for the past two seasons with the Florida Panthers, LW Tomas Fleischmann has fallen on hard time this year. Hes gone 20 games without a goal, registering just five assists since he last lit the lamp on December 17. Fleischmann has been shuffled around the lineup, playing at times with C Nick Bjugstad and one of Jonathan Huberdeau and Scottie Upshall on the wing, though Fleischmann has most recently found himself skating with Marcel Goc and Tomas Kopecky, not exactly recipe to get his offensive game back. At 29-years-old and under contract throught next season, at $4.5-million, Fleischmann might be better in a new location, but its not easy to get a team to take on that salary for a player with five goals in 54 games, even when hes scoring on a career-low 3.8% of his shots. 6. Canadiens C Lars Eller got off to a strong start this season, scoring nine points in the first dozen games, putting to rest any fears of lingering effects after suffering a concussion in last years playoffs, but hes been crashing since. Eller has 12 points (5 G, 7 A) in 45 games since and his ice time has steadily decreased. Ellers assist against Calgary Tuesday ended a 15-game scoreless drought, and he played 12:04, his second-lowest ice time of the season. 7. The Los Angeles Kings are having an incredibly difficult time scoring goals, yet made the decision to demote winger Tyler Toffoli to the AHL, even though he was the teams top point producer per minute of play at even strength. But, necessity being the mother of invention, Toffoli has since been recalled and has found his way to the top line with Anze Kopitar and Jeff Carter. Toffoli had two points against Chicago Monday, and Saturday he had a season-high six shots on goal while playing 18:42, his most since opening night. Its one thing for a contender to want a young player to round out his game or play more soundly, but Toffoli has strong possession stats, strong enough that the Kings need to see whether he can be part of the solution to their goal-scoring woes. 8. Last season, Blues RW Chris Stewart was his teams leading scorer, with 36 points in 48 games. This year, hes playing 14:37 per game, his lowest since his rookie season, and finding his name in trade rumours. The Blues have terrific depth and the emergence of younger scorers Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko could make it easier to part with a player who, even with relatively poor possession stats this season, ranks 35th with 104 goals scored since 2009-2010. 9. Islanders LW Thomas Vanek has made it clear that he intends to test the free agent market on July 1, which assures that he will be traded before the deadline, potentially even before the Olympic Break if the right deal comes along. Any team could use a scoring winger with Vaneks credentials, but his salary could complicate matters somewhat for teams that are pushing up against the salary cap. Dealing for Vanek is complicated because he intends to test the free agent market July 1, which is entirely fine, but there has long been suspicion that his preferred destination could be Minnesota, which could make him nothing more than a rental (which is also fine) for whichever team acquires him this season. While the Islanders might want a lot, having surrendered Matt Moulson a first and second-round pick to get Vanek, it may be a lot to expect three assets of similar value for the last quarter of the season plus playoffs. Here are some teams that might be able to provide a package that will suit the Islanders as they attempt to replenish the franchises talent base. Pittsburgh - With all due respect to Brian Gibbons or, potentially, a healthy Beau Bennett, the Penguins could use a top-tier winger to play with Sidney Crosby. The Penguins have some prospect depth on the blueline, with D Simon Despres, D Derrick Pouliot, RW Jayson Megna some potentially moveable parts. The bigger challenge for Pittsburgh could be finding a way to fit Vanek under the salary cap. Los Angeles - If any team needs scoring help, the Kings would fit and putting Vanek on the wing with Anze Kopitar and Jeff Carter would be interesting. Presuming that the Kings wouldnt be inclined to move Toffoli for a rental, then prospects like Linden Vey, Tanner Pearson and Derek Forbort could be part of the package. Anaheim - The Ducks have had plenty of success as is, but Vanek would be an upgrade to the left wing spot on the number one line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, a spot that has seen Dustin Penner, Patrick Maroon, Kyle Palmieri, Matt Beleskey and Jakob Silfverberg rotate through this season. The Ducks have plenty of prospects, including some of the aforementioned young forwards along wiht C Rickard Rakell, RW Emerson Etem and LW Devante Smith-Pelly, a couple of which could form the nucleus for a Vanek deal. Minnesota - There is some presumption that the Wild would be Vaneks eventual landing spot, the question is whether or not the Wild would be prepared to offer prospects to acquire Vanek now when they might have the inside track to get him on July 1. It would also be easier to make that move once winger Dany Heatleys $7.5-million comes off the cap. Montreal - Goal-scoring, and general puck possession, has been an issue for the Canadiens and there would certainly be room to include Vanek on Montreals top line. Some combination of picks and prospects including forwards Sven Andrighetto, Tim Bozon, Mike McCarron, Louis LeBlanc and Christian Thomas could get discussions started. Ottawa - There has been plenty of talk of the Senators adding scoring help for Jason Spezza, and while they dont appear to be inclined to add salary, maybe taking a rental like Vanek (or Matt Moulson or Mike Cammalleri) would be feasible. The Senators have all sorts of options, from relatively inexperienced NHLers like Colin Greening and Patrick Wiercioch, to wing prospects Shane Prince, Matt Puempel and Andre Petersson. 10. The Montreal Canadiens and Vancouver Canucks made a deal this week, with the Canadiens sending D Raphael Diaz to the Canucks for fourth-line LW Dale Wiese. While Diaz isnt a dominant defender, hes a capable puck-mover who has averaged nearly 20 minutes per game in 129 career NHL games (he played 25:26 in his Canucks debut at Boston). With the Canucks missing Kevin Bieksa, Chris Tanev and Dan Hamhuis due to injuries, Diaz fills an immediate hole but, long-term, can be a useful third-pair defenceman who can play the power play. Hell be an unrestricted free agent at seasons end. Weise is a fourth-line winger who will be a restricted free agent in the summer. He has 26 points and 185 penalty minutes in 163 career games and has been consistently beaten in terms of puck possession. Basically, hes a fourth-line forward who is as replaceable as most other fourth line forwards. FIRST NHL GAMES Greg McKegg, C, Toronto - A third-round pick in 2010, McKegg had started to pick up offensively, scoring 16 points in 15 games prior to his call-up, but he only saw 4:$3 in his NHL debut before getting returned to the AHL. Simon Moser, C, Nashville - 24-year-old Swiss forward had 25 points in 40 AHL games and played more than 10 minutes, alongside Colin Wilson and Taylor Beck, in his NHL debut. Colton Sissons, C, Nashville - A second-round pick in 2012, Sissons had 16 goals and 28 points in 42 AHL games to earn his promotion, and has spent most of his first three games skating with Paul Gaustad and Rich Clune, contributing one assist while playing under nine minutes a game. LONDON, England - Bottom-place Fulham beat Newcastle 1-0 on Saturday for its first win in the Premier League since New Years Day. Bob Lilly Cowboys Jersey . The Cottagers last victory came in a 2-1 home win over West Ham when Rene Meulensteen was still in charge. Since then, a miserable run of seven defeats and two draws has seen the club part with the Dutch coach and replace him with German Felix Magath. And the 60-year-old Magath claimed his first victory since taking over when Ashkan Dejagah cut in from the left before rifling a shot under goalkeeper Tim Krul in the 68th minute. The win sees Fulham move to within three points of Crystal Palace in 17th place while Newcastle was left in ninth on 43 points. Newcastle manager Alan Pardew served the first of his seven-game ban for headbutting an opposing player. -- SWANSEA, Wales - West Bromwich Albion recovered from conceding an early goal by scoring twice in the second half to earn a 2-1 win at Swansea on Saturday in the Premier League. A day after severing ties with striker Nicolas Anelka, West Brom had a terrible start as Roland Lamah put Swansea ahead in just the second minute. But Stephane Sessegnon equalized in the 52nd and Youssuf Mulumbu netted the winner in the 85th to put West Brom three points above the relegation zone. They are now just one point behind 14-place Swansea. West Brom announced late Friday it had fired Anelka after the French forward said on Twitter that he had terminated his contract following his ban for a controversial goal celebration gesture. Spanish striker Michu came on as a substitute for Swansea, making his return after a lengthy injury layoff. -- SOUTHAMPTON, England - Southampton secured a 4-2 win over relegation-threatened Norwich in the English Premier League on Saturday. The Saints took a fifth-minute lead when Morgan Schneiderlin raced onto midfielder Gaston Ramirezs pass before slotting past John Ruddy. The visitors found themselves chasing a two-goal margin when substitute Ricky Lambert struck seconds after his introduction in the 57th. Lambert then turned provider for Jay Rodriguez, who converted from close range in the 72nd. Norwich set up a dramatic finale after grabbing two goals in quick succession. First through substitute Johan Elmander in the 85th before Robert Snodgrass beat goalkeeper Artur Boruc seconds later. But youngster Sam Gallacher calmed Southampton nerves as Norwich chased the equalizer, with the Canaries now a mere four points outside the relegation zone. -- SUNDERLAND, England - Crystal Palace held Sunderland to a 0-0 draw in the Premier League on Saturday in a game between two sides fighting to stave off relegation. The hosts dominated possession but struggled to create scoring chances, with Fabio Borini coming closest in the 83rd minute when his hard shot hit the crossbar. Kagisho Dikgacoi missed a late chance for the visitors to steal the win when his shot from the centre of the box went wide. Palace remained three points above Sunderland in 17th place, but the visitors have two games in hand. -- STOKE, England -- Peter Odemwingie scored twice as Stoke came from behind to beat West Ham 3-1 and move further away from relegation danger in the English Premier League on Saturday. England striker Andy Carroll gave West Ham the lead in the fifth minute with his first goal since April, only for Peter Crouchs acrobatic effort to strike the shoulder of Odemwingie and ricochet in for the equalizer in the 32nd. Marko Arnautovic put Stoke ahead in the 69th and Odemwingie finished a counter attack with a powerful shot from an acute angle with 11 minutes to go. Stoke moved into the top half while West Ham is six points clear of the relegation zone. Jed Collins Cowboys Jersey . -- Wichita State is all alone in the record book. The (11-11-4) Jets are seventh in the Central Division with 26 points. Fifth place Dallas and sixth-seeded Nashville also have 26 points, but the Stars have three games in hand on Winnipeg while Nashville has two.Forever and a day, the cornerstone of fantasy football teams has been the running game, workhorse backs racking up yardage and touchdowns, but the game is changing. Theres more passing, and that means fewer backs taking a primary role in the offence, but that doesnt mean there isnt value to be found. Last season, there were 13 running backs to gain more than 1,000 yards on the ground. In 2012, there were 16; the years before, going back to 2004: 15, 17, 15, 16, 17, 22, 16 and 18. So maybe there arent quite as many runners around which to anchor your fantasy squad, but that decline in depth makes those that are still standing all the more valuable in relative terms. Start with Minnesotas Adrian Peterson, who was over 1,200 rushing yards again last season, for the sixth time in seven seasons and, as always, it was buttressed by double-digit touchdowns. For a team with question marks about its passing game, Peterson will continue to be the No. 1 option and that safety makes him appealing. LeSean McCoy busted out last year, gaining 2,146 yards from scrimmage, and he may well be the best runner on the board, but a players value isnt his career-best season and McCoy figures to at least lose some targets in the Philadelphia passing game to incoming veteran Darren Sproles. Ranking second in yards from scrimmage last season, Kansas Citys Jamaal Charles also tacked on 19 touchdowns last year. Much like McCoy, it was a career-year for Charles, but largely because of the touchdowns. He has gained more than 1,700 yards from scrimmage in three of the past four seasons. There are a number of ways to go beyond the top three, but if youre prepared to live with risk, Arian Foster gained 4,702 yards from scrimmage and scored 47 touchdowns from 2010 through 2012. He only played eight games last season, and while he still accumulated 725 yards in that time, he managed just a couple of touchdowns. A healthy Foster is still a premier threat but, after last year, his value may be depressed somewhat. Moving to Seattle has worked well for Marshawn Lynch, who has 4,775 yards from scrimmage, along with 39 touchdowns, in the past three seasons. He may not have the high ceiling of the guys at the top, but hes a workhorse back on a powerhouse team. After a slow start in the first couple weeks of his NFL career, Green Bays Eddie Lacy still ended up gaining 1,435 yards from scrimmage and scoring 11 touchdowns as a rookie. As a play for upside, Lacy can be worthy of a first-round fantasy pick. One of three backs to gain more than 1,600 yards from scrimmage last season, Matt Forte gained 1,933 yards and scored a dozen touchdowns. Hes had some years with low touchdown totals, but has gained at least 1,400 yards from scrimmage in every one of his six NFL seasons. Beyond that group, we begin looking at fringe first-rounders. Still valuable, productive players, but maybe not quite worthy of being your best option. Tampa Bays Doug Martin was limited to six games last season, but hes averaged more than 111 yards from scrimmage per game in his career. With the Bucs upgrading their offensive line, adding Logan Mankins from New England, Martin is even more appealing. DeMarco Murray has had trouble staying healthy for Dallas, but delivered a career-best 1,471 yards and 10 touchdowns in 14 games last season. With a strong offensive line leading the way, Murray could put up serious numbers over a full season. Looking at a full-time starting gig with his move to Cleveland, Ben Tate averaged 4.7 yards per carry in three seasons as a second-stringer in Houston and while the Browns may not offer much of a supporting cast, Tate can take advantage of a full-time role. After an underwhelming rookie season, during which he gained 704 yards from scrimmage with four touchdowns, Montee Ball looks at a bigger opportunity now that Knowshon Moreno is in Miami. It would be more encouraging if Ball had played so well that he just took the job, but opportunity is opportunity and that Broncos offence offers a great chance to put up points. With more than 3,000 yards from scrimmage and 20 touchdowns in his first two seasons, Alfred Morris seems like a safe option, but there will be some questions concerning the Redskins offence and Morris drop in production from his rookie year to his sophomore season. There isnt much buzz around Buffalos C.J. Spiller after he managed 1,118 yards from scrimmage and only two touchdowns last season, with a high ankle sprain posing problems, but hess averaging 5. Morris Claiborne Cowboys Jersey. 1 yards per carry for his career. If the ankle isnt a problem this year, maybe Spiller lives up to the hype that he had pre-2013. After four seasons spent as Adrian Petersons caddie in Minnesota, Toby Gerhart gets his shot to be The Man in Jacksonville. Hes a powerful runner who can also catch the ball coming out of the backfield. For a Jaguars team lacking weapons, Gerhart ought to get a lot of touches. Detroits Reggie Bush maybe be facing a challenge for playing time from Joique Bell, but Bush has also accumulated 4,172 yards from scrimmage the past three seasons, including a career-high 1,512 last year. Thats still too good to leave on the sidelines for your fantasy squad this year. Gone are the days of Chris Johnson, the 2,000-yard rushing threat, but even in his current state of declining production, he has put up more than 1,400 yards from scrimmage in each of the past three years and scored 10 touchdowns last year. Its possible that expectations may have even over-corrected on Johnson, who does get something of a new lease on life with the Jets this year. Last years 1,269 yards from scrimmage counted as Frank Gores lowest since his rookie season (2005) and hes always facing challenges for playing time, with second-round pick Carlos Hyde the latest leading contender but, since 2006, no one has more yards from scrimmage than Gores 12,000, so a little respect is due, even if his time as the Niners number one back is nearing an end. Though he started only one game as a rookie, Andre Ellington still picked up 1,023 yards from scrimmage, on just 157 touches, for the Cardinals. In his second season, as the featured back in Arizonas offence, there are expectations that Ellington will take a leap forward, even is his production isnt going to keep that efficiency. Zac Stacy took control of the Rams starting running back job last year and accumulated 1,114 yards from scrimmage. Naturally, there are expectations that he can improve in his second season, but the Rams had a shaky attack even before Sam Bradford was injured and Stacy is still facing challenges for playing time from Benny Cunningham. Theres upside here, but some downside if expectations start running too high. Mostly a spare part early in his career in Jacksonville, Rashad Jennings burst through when injuries opened the door for him with the Raiders last season, gaining 1,025 yards from scrimmage. As the number one back for the Giants this year, there is a good chance that 29-year-old Jennings could have a career-best season. Last season was supposed to be so different for Steven Jackson, who moved to Atlanta after years of productivity in St. Louis. He played only a dozen games and managed a career-low 734 yards from scrimmage as the Falcons season fell apart. Nevertheless, Jackson is Atlantas best backfield option this year and while 31-year-old running backs arent exactly in the primes of their career, Jacksons depressed value after last season does mean he could provide value this time around. The third overall pick in 2012, Trent Richardson saw his production dip dramatically last year from a rookie season that was already disappointing. The Colts can hope that Richardson rebounds and can make it as a power runner capable of handling a heavy workload, but the risk that Richardson just isnt suited to be a big-time runner in the NFL ought to make for cautious draft day decisions. When seeking value in later rounds, consider strong second-stringers, like Bell, Fred Jackson or Ahmad Bradshaw, but there will also be veterans in time-shares (Shonn Greene, Maurice Jones-Drew, LeGarrette Blount) that should be interesting as well. Among rookies, Tennessees Bishop Sankey will have a chance to see lots of action, provided he can hold the ball. Otherwise, the likes of Hyde, Jeremy Hill (Cincinnati) and Tre Mason (St. Louis) all seem to need an injury to become valuable fantasy contributors. Its important to get quality runners in your draft, but its not the end of the world if you dont. There will, invariably, be players that dont start in Week One, that end up gaining 1,000 yards from scrimmage, so its vital to monitor the waiver wire in order to keep your backfield up to speed with the competition. OMAHA, Neb. Dion Lewis Jersey . -- Peyton Manning came to Omaha to show the city some love in return for the love it showed him during the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl. Manning was the was the featured speaker at the Bnai Brith sports banquet Thursday night, and he promised the crowd of 1,200 hell keep shouting "Omaha!" at the line of scrimmage. Manning has been using the citys name as part of his pre-snap routine for years, but his "Omaha!" chants put the city of 400,000 in the national spotlight during the playoffs because they came in so loud and clear over television field microphones. "I cant tell you how many suggestions I get on what word I should use next year -- cities, states, businesses, a lot of websites," Manning said. "I am here to tell you I am sticking with Omaha! " With that, the crowd erupted in hoots and applause. Before the banquet, the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce presented Manning a check for almost $70,000 for his foundation for at-risk children. Businesses donated money for every pre-snap "Omaha!" shouted by the 2013 NFL MVP. "Im very pleased to be here in the real city of Omaha," he said. "People of this city have been very gracious to me during my visit here. This (donated money) will go a long way to help the children at risk." The chamber of commerce co-ordinated the fundraising effort to thank Manning for the shout-outs and free publicity. The Omaha zoo named a newborn penguin "Peyton," and Omaha Steaks sold an "Omaha, Omaha" variety package of meats for Super Bowl partiers. A local ice cream parlour created a flavour in Mannings honour, "Omaha, Omaha," which had an orange-vanilla base mixed with blue malt balls -- Broncos colours. Manning gave no hint about what his "Omaha!" chants really mean or the reason why he and other quarterbacks use the word as they change plays at the line. Mannings speech focused on the methods he employed to be a successful NFL quarterback. He stressed the importance of putting in extra work, intense film study and a willingness to be a leader. He also touched on the obstacles the Broncos overcame to reach the Super Bowl, where they lost to Seattle. "We faced a ton of injuries, including losing not one but two centres, lost our left tackle for the entire year, probably the best in the entire league, and we lost a player to a six-game suspension," he said. "And then in the middle of the season our head coach had a heart attack and was out for five weeks. The deck was shuffled, and there were so many things that pointed to having a bad year. We handled more adversity in a single season than most teams will in a five- or 10-year span." The 38-year-old quarterback said he has set no timetable for retirement. "I feel lucky to still be playing the game, and I enjoy being around these young guys. They keep me feeling young," he said. "Im going to keep doing it as long as I can still help the team, as long as I still enjoy the preparation, and as long as the team still wants me to play." Ramon Humber Jersey . The Revolution entered Saturdays second leg in decent shape, having taken the first leg at Red Bull Arena, 2-1 a week ago. But the momentum from the opening leg was quickly erased as the Red Bulls drew first blood. Thierry Henry, playing on an artificial surface for the first time in his MLS career, sent and excellent ball over the top to Tim Cahill in the 26th minute and the Australian international did well to outmuscle Revs defender Jose Goncalves and poke it past goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth. But New England pulled it level on the day at 1-1 and a 3-2 aggregate lead in the 41st minute when the home side elected to play a short corner kick to Chris Tierney and his cross was knocked off Davies and in behind RRed Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles. Montee Ball Jersey. New York battled back to make it 3-3 on aggregate in the 52nd minute when Lloyd Sam sent a speculative ball into the box that fell kindly to the feet of Peguy Luyindula and the Frenchman fired it home to make it 3-3. With the match at 3-3 on aggregate, the tie would have gone to extra time if the result held, but Davies came to the rescue with 20 minutes to play. The goal came to cap a spell of relentless offensive pressure from New England as Tierney again got free on the left wing and served a great ball into the box where Davies was there to nod it home and give the hosts a 4-3 aggregate lead. As the clock crept toward 90 minutes New York surged forward knowing another goal would send them through via the away goals tiebreaker, but the Revs back line held firm to secure the clubs first trip to the MLS title game for the first time since 2007. CHARLOTTE, N. Cheap Odell Beckham Jr Jersey .C. -- Ben Roethlisber

Posted in IYH Forums by jokergreen0220 at 09:40, Nov 25 2016

CHARLOTTE, N. Cheap Odell Beckham Jr Jersey .C. -- Ben Roethlisberger spent Sunday night relishing in the return of Steelers football. "We were physical on offence, defence, special teams," Roethlisberger said. And dominating, too, in a 37-19 victory over Carolina on Sunday night. Roethlisberger threw two 7-yard touchdown passes to Antonio Brown, LeVeon Bell ran for 147 yards and Pittsburgh outrushed the Panthers 264-42. Roethlisberger finished 22 of 30 for 196 yards, and Brown had 90 yards receiving on 10 catches to help the Steelers (2-1) snap Carolinas regular-season home winning streak at eight. LeGarrette Blount ran for 118 yards, marking the first time since 1986 the Steelers have had two 100-yard rushers in a game. "Thats awesome," Roethlisberger said. "Im sure that Steeler fans back home are going crazy because we ran the ball for 100 and had two guys do it. Thats just awesome. I think it shows what we can do if we put our minds to it." The Steelers had gone eight quarters without a touchdown before Roethlisbergers two scoring strikes in the third. They were set up by Cam Newtons fumble and Bells 81-yard run. The Steelers lost defensive starters Ike Taylor, Ryan Shazier and Jarvis Jones to injuries. Taylor has a broken right forearm, while the others will be reevaluated Monday. Newton finished 24 of 35 for 250 yards, but was a non-factor running the ball with 7 yards on two carries. He was only sacked three times, but faced heavy pressure from the Steelers most of the night -- sometimes even from a three-man rush. Newton, who broke his ribs in the preseason, took a forearm to the midsection from Shazier while running out of bounds and then was driven into the ground by Cameron Haywood when he came free on a stunt on back-to-back plays near the end of the first half. Later, Newton took a shot to the knees from Jason Worlids and came up limping. "We didnt do a good job running the ball," Pro Bowl centre Ryan Kalil said. "That hurt us. Weve got to be more consistent protecting Cam. I dont think we did a good job of that and it showed. You cant have guys, especially those guys, hitting your quarterback and having free shots. And he took a lot of them tonight." Newton said after the game he felt fine. "At times we just looked out of sync," Newton said. "... But its a long season." The Panthers were looking for their first 3-0 start since 2003 -- the year they went to the Super Bowl. The Steelers led 9-3 at halftime behind Shaun Suishams field goals of 42, 24, and 45 yards. Pittsburgh hadnt scored a touchdown since the second quarter of their season opener before Roethlisberger connected with Brown in the back corner of the end zone following a colossal error by the Panthers. The score came after Carolinas Wes Horton was called for encroachment on a fourth-and-4 field-goal attempt, giving the Steelers a first down. Brown scored on the next play. "I just think collectively we kind of beat ourselves," Horton said. After Bell broke free up the middle for an 81-yard burst on Pittsburghs next drive, Brown struck again getting free while running across the field at the goal line for another 7-yard score that put Pittsburgh up 23-6. Newton answered with a 37-yard TD pass to Greg Olsen, but the Steelers onslaught continued. Pittsburghs Shamarko Thomas stripped Philly Brown on a punt return in the fourth quarter and Robert Golden came up with the loose ball in the end zone for a touchdown. Blount put the game away with an 8-yard touchdown run, running through Thomas DeCoud at the 4 and dragging him into the end zone in a moment that captured the Steelers dominance. "We have two guys we feel good about," coach Mike Tomlin said about his running backs. "Thankfully, we were in a situation where we were winning enough possession downs on defence that we could utilize their talents. We had that opportunity to do it tonight and show what theyre capable of. I dont think we have any doubts about that tandem as far as what theyre capable of." The Panthers, playing without starting running back DeAngelo Williams, managed only 10 yards rushing in the opening half against a defence that had allowed 170 yards rushing per game coming in. Williams replacement, Jonathan Stewart, finished with 31 yards on five carries before leaving in the third quarter with a knee injury. Newton looked sharp on the opening drive completing his first four passes for 52 yards but the Steelers began handing out punishing body blows to the fourth-year quarterback in the second quarter. NOTES: Newtons fumble was Carolinas first turnover of the season. ... Shazier left in the second quarter with a foot injury and did not return. ... Every year around this time, that question gets trotted out once more: When will a Canadian win the RBC Canadian Open? Its a difficult question that has no answer, really. Dino Ciccarelli Jersey . It will happen when it happens. To give it some perspective, a Canadian hasnt won on the PGA Tour since Stephen Ames captured the Childrens Miracle Network Classic in 2009. So perhaps the first question we ask should be - when will the drought of a Canadian winning anywhere on the PGA Tour end? For a Canadian to win the Open at home, it means having his game peak on one particular week, on a course they may or may not like, while being pulled in many different directions by media, sponsors and friends while defeating a field of international stars that wont be laying down just because a guy has a maple leaf on his bag. Its a tall order, for sure. "Ive played I think 100 tour events, or 99 tour events in my career," said Graham DeLaet, the highest ranked Canuck in the world, "and I have yet to win one so I guess it would have to be a little bit of luck for it to happen here, but I feel like Im close to my first win and thered be no better place to do it than here." "I think winning a PGA Tour event is difficult let alone to do it here in Canada for a Canadian," added David Hearn. "That being said, this would be a wonderful place for it to happen. Such wonderful history at Royal Montreal. It would be an amazing achievement and something special. So if its not me Ill be pulling for another Canadian to do it as long as Im not the one in second." Yup, there is some symmetry with all this. The last Canadian to win the Open on home soil was Pat Fletcher, who spent much of his career as the head professional at Royal Montreal. And this club was where this tournament started, back in 1904 when just a handful of professionals and amateurs teed off in the pouring rain. Canadians have come close in the past. One of the first Opens I covered was in 1988, when Dave Barr tied for fourth. He was the leader in the clubhouse on Sunday afternoon when a massive thunderstorm rolled in and stopped play. When it resumed on Monday morning, the temperature dropped about 10 degrees and the wind was howling. I didnt think anyone could get in the house and defeat Barrs score but Ken Green did it to win. In 2004, Mike Weir came about as close to winning as possible when he lost in a playoff to Vijay Singh. That was in front of a ramped-up crowd that more or less expected it to happen. It was as if there was a hockey game going on at the 18th green. Weir understands perhaps better than anyone what it would take for a Canadian to win. "To end it, you just have to play great golf," he said. "Theres good competition here and great players and you just have to play four solid days and you have to do what you can do as a player. You have to know your own game. You have to know your strengths and weaknesses and try to minimize the mistakes, but you have to have fun too." In 2011, the unheralded Adam Hadwin shocked just about everyone – including himself – by nearly taking the title. He was just a PGA Tour Canada member at the time. He says that the attitude every player needs to take is that anythings possible. "Why not?" he asked. "Its not impossible, thats the way you look at it. Obviously, like you said, I dont think anyone expected me to do what I did in 2011, maybe including myself. I might have surprised myself back there at Shaughnessy, but if you put it together, why not?" But perhaps to get a different perspective, we need to go outside the Canadian perspective. Jim Furyk won his national championship but says that for a Canadian to do it would be massively more difficult just due to the outside pressure that gets put on them. "Its hard to win a national open, its hard to win a big tournament," he said, "but any time one of those guys gets close it becomes such a focus, it makes it that much more difficult." However its not as if the non-Canadians wouldnt like to see it happen. Brandt Snedeker won last years RBC Canadian Open and his caddie, Scott Vail, hails from Oshawa, Ont. He saw the joy on his bag-toters face after they combined to capture the Open. "I can imagine winning a US Open what that would feel like to me," he said, "talking with Scott after last year, winning his national Open. It would mean the world to Graham or David or any other Canadian up here so if I cant win Im pulling of a Canadian to win because its a big deal for them and I know it would be special to see that get done." Will it happen this week? The odds say its difficult, but not impossible. But if nothing else, Id love it to happen so I dont have to ask the question again next year. Lanny McDonald Jersey . The Detroit Tigers star had microfracture surgery Friday to repair the medial and lateral meniscus in his left knee. "I dont want to say it was a surprise," team president and general manager Dave Dombrowski said. Mattias Janmark Jersey .Y. -- Mike Zigomaniss goal at 5:53 of the third period stood up as the winner as the Rochester Americans hung on to defeat the visiting Hamilton Bulldogs 3-2 on Saturday in American Hockey League action. http://www.officialhockeyproshop.com/Dallas-Stars-Kari-Lehtonen-Jersey/ . Carey Price made 27 saves for Montreal (30-21-6) for his fourth shutout of the year and second in four games. David Desharnais added an empty netter for the Canadiens. Reto Berra stopped 25 shots for Calgary (21-28-7).CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Graham Gano is hoping for another chance against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.I hope this one comes down to a game-winning kick, the Carolina Panthers 27-year-old kicker said. Those are the kicks you dream of, so I hope I get another shot.Gano missed a potential game-winning 46-yard field goal try last month against the Falcons with 1:27 remaining and had a 63-yarder blocked as time expired. The Panthers lost 19-17.Had Carolina won that game, it would have already clinched the NFC South division.Instead, the Panthers need a win or tie at Atlanta to become the first team to repeat as NFC South champions. The Panthers (6-8-1) enter the game in first place, but the Falcons (6-9) can pass them with a win. The winner will host a playoff game.Gano signed a four-year, $12.4 million extension last off-season after he turned in a career year converting 24 of 27 field goals, including all six from 50 yards and beyond. Hes made 27 of 33 field goal attempts this season, but has a miss in each of his past two games.Panthers coach Ron Rivera said his confidence in Gano hasnt wavered. Rivera said misses are going to happen.Hell come to me and say something about it and I will just say, Ive got all of the confidence in the world in you, Rivera said. The truth of the matter is hes going to get an opportunity to win a big onne for us, whether its this week of some other time. Dennis Cholowski Jersey. The key for him is being focused and ready. This game is about as big as it gets, so who knows?Ganos 46-yard miss on Nov. 16 against the Falcons was a tough blow for the Panthers — and the fans in their home stadium — after Cam Newton had driven the team into field goal range with a series of pass completions.Figuring they could count on Gano, the Panthers went with three conservative plays calls after reaching the Atlanta 32. The three runs netted just 4 yards. The strategy failed when the right-footed Gano hooked the 46-yarder wide left.Gano said it took him about two seconds to put the kick behind him. He got another shot as time expired and felt like he hit the 63-yarder well, but it was low coming out and blocked.Like a cornerback who gets beat on a deep pass, Gano said kickers have to have short memories. If you dont then you wont last very long in this league, Gano said. Ive faced adversity before and you have to handle it and move on.NOTES: Cam Newton gave his teammates Beats headphones, while linebacker Luke Kuechly got them Bose headphones. They have to choose — Bose or Beats, Kuechly said. ... Linebacker A.J. Klein (ankle) was the only player limited in practice on Wednesday.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

Torontos Melvin Ejim accomplished much more than just one record-setting game this season. Jordan Phillips Dolphins Jersey . The Iowa State senior forward has a unique top-10 standing in the Big 12. The 6-foot-6 Ejim was named Monday as The Associated Press Big 12 Player of the Year. He joined Kansas Andrew Wiggins of Vaughan, Ont., the leagues Freshman of the Year, as unanimous All-Big 12 first-team selections. Ejim, whose 48-point game against TCU last month set a Big 12 single-game scoring record, is the leagues only player in the top 10 in scoring and rebounding. He ranks second in both categories, averaging 18.2 points and 8.6 rebounds. "To see the progression of Melvins basketball career from where he came in as a freshman, very raw ... it just shows when you put a lot of work into your game, its going to pay off, and it certainly helps with your culture," Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg said of the A-student history major. "Hes a great leader and young guys see what hes doing and the impact that has on our team and our program." Only Iowa State had two first-team players. Ejim was joined in the top five by 6-4 senior teammate DeAndre Kane, a transfer from Marshall who was the unanimous pick for Newcomer of the Year. Kane averaged 17.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.9 assists. "Three great years at Marshall, but had never reached the tournament," Hoiberg said. "I know that was huge for him, and hes going to get that opportunity." Oklahoma State sophomore guard Marcus Smart and West Virginia junior guard Juwan Staten, the Big 12s leader with 18.4 points and 5.94 assists per game, rounded out the first-team selections that matched the coaches picks released Sunday. Smart was the AP Big 12s top player and top freshman last year, when he was only the third player to win both of those awards in the same season. His scoring average was better this season at 17.9 points and he led the league with 2.7 steals a game, but also was suspended three games during conference play after shoving a fan at Texas Tech. Oklahomas Lon Kruger, who led the Sooners to a No. 2 seed in this weeks conference tournament, was selected as the AP Big 12 Coach of the Year with 11 of the 18 votes from a panel of AP sports writers and sportscasters who cover the league on a regular basis Ejim got 11 votes for top player, becoming the first Iowa State player to win that AP award since Jamaal Tinsley in 2001, a year after Cyclones standout Marcus Fizer. Wiggins, who capped the regular season with 41 points Saturday in a loss at West Virginia, got four Player of the Year votes, and the remaining votes were split by Kane, Smart and 7-foot Kansas freshman centre Joel Embiid. Wiggins got 17 votes for Freshman of The Year. Embiid, who got the other vote for top freshman, headed up the AP All-Big 12 second team that also includes Oklahoma States Markel Brown, Kansas State freshman Marcus Foster, Oklahoma sophomore Buddy Hield and Baylors Cory Jefferson. Kruger is 58-36 in his three years at Oklahoma, and last season with the Sooners became the first NCAA Division I coach to take five different programs to the NCAA tournament. They finished the regular season with a 97-67 win at TCU, their fifth win in six games. "Its always satisfying when your guys play well and play with enthusiasm and get good results," Kruger said. "This league is so deep ... if we can be in that group right after Kansas, were in a very good group of basketball teams, so I feel good about it." Kansas coach Bill Self, whose Jayhawks clinched their 10th Big 12 title in a row with a young group, got five votes for top coach. Texas Rick Barnes got the other two. In their voting, Big 12 coaches also tabbed Ejim as top player, Kane top newcomer and Wiggins as the leagues outstanding freshman. They differed on the top coach, selecting Barnes. Jay Ajayi Womens Jersey . Leave it to Matt Niskanen, the newly proclaimed Eddie Haskell of the Washington Capitals. Koa Misi Dolphins Jersey . The 28-year-old from Rochester, Alta., was selected by the Redblacks from the Saskatchewan Roughriders roster in the 2013 CFL Expansion Draft. http://www.shopdolphinsauthentic.com/Youth-Jay-Ajayi-Elite-Jersey/ . It was well worth the wait. Manning and the Denver Broncos waited eight long months, then another 33 minutes to get the season started because of a lightning storm.Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Dwyane Wade scored 19 points with 11 rebounds and seven assists, and the Miami Heat continued their dominance over the Toronto Raptors with a 107-102 win on Sunday. Chris Bosh tallied 21 points with 11 rebounds and four assists for the Heat, who have opened the season with three straight wins for just the fifth time in franchise history. It was a good win, particularly having to go through the emotions of playing a very good team, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said. Luol Deng and Shawne Williams netted 18 and 16 points, respectively, in the victory. Toronto, which had its two-game winning streak snapped, may have wanted a different opponent to keep its unbeaten start to the season going. The Raptors have now lost 16 straight to the Heat, including 10 in a row in South Beach. DeMar DeRozan paced the visitors with 30 points, while Kyle Lowry finished with 22 points and Jonas Valanciunas added 14. They played well, Raptors head coach Dwane Casey said of the Heat. Im not taking anything away from Miami, but we gotta make them miss, we gotta make them feel us. Wade made all four of his shot attempts in the first quarter, and he spearheaded a 14-2 spurt that helped the Heat to a 22-12 lead just past the midway point of the frame. Toronto, which went 10-of-15 from the line over the first 12 minutes, trimmed the deficit to 31-26 heading into the second thanks in large part because of DeRozans 13 points. Valanciunas converted a three-point play which cut Miamis lead to four with under three minutes untiil half, then Deng slammed home a feed from Wade before Bosh netted his own three-point play to extend the margin to 56-47. Ajayi Jersey. Miami shot a blistering 23-for-39 from the floor in the first half to grab a 64-54 lead at the break. The Heat maintained a comfortable edge in the third because of their hot shooting. That wasnt more evident then when Wade pulled up and banked in a contested 3-pointer for an 83-67 lead at 4:53 of the quarter. The Raptors turned the double-digit deficit into a six-point game with over seven minutes to play in the game. But Wade hauled in two offensive rebounds in the same possession and Mario Chalmers rewarded him with a pair of free throws to make it 96-88 at 6:33. Greivis Vasquez answered at the other end with a jumper, then Williams tipped in Chalmers miss as Miami continued to assert itself on the boards. The margin remained six with under a minute to play when Wade got James Johnson to jump on a pump fake, drawing a foul shooting a deep two-point attempt. Wade split the pair of free throws and the Heat made enough shots from the line down the stretch to secure the win. Game Notes Miami outrebounded the Raptors, 43-28 ... Bosh has dished out four assists in each of the Heats first three games. He reached that mark just three times all of last season ... Miami shot 35-of-70 from the field ... The Heat scored 22 points off 17 Toronto turnovers ... Chalmers scored 12 points in the win ... Heat center Chris Andersen missed the game with a rib injury. NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

NEW YORK -- Once Anthony Davis went down, Ryan Anderson stepped up to keep the New York Knicks on their losing ways. Roman Torres Jersey . Anderson made seven 3-pointers and scored 31 points, and the New Orleans Pelicans overcame Davis loss to a broken left hand to hand the Knicks their ninth straight loss, 103-99 on Sunday night. "When Ryan comes into the game, he doesnt think like a bench guy," Pelicans coach Monty Williams said. "He thinks like Im playing 35 minutes and Ive got to do my job. Obviously we dont expect him to score 31 points, but I will take it." Tyreke Evans added 24 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, as the Pelicans sent the Knicks to their seventh straight home loss. "Obviously we played against a desperate team tonight," Williams said. "But, were desperate, too. Any time you can win on the road, winning eight games period, is special in the NBA." The Pelicans, now 8-8, are last in the NBAs Southwest Division but would be in first place in the Atlantic. Toronto currently is atop the standings at 6-10 -- and the last-place Knicks (3-13) are only three games back. Davis had seven points and four rebounds in the first quarter before leaving with what the Pelicans said was a non-displaced fracture in his left hand. The team said a timetable for his return has not been determined. "I was going up for a lob, got fouled and then hit my hand on the rim," Davis said. "I havent found anything out yet. Most definitely I hope its a short-term thing. I didnt think it would keep me out, but it did." Carmelo Anthony finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while rookie Tim Hardaway Jr. had a career-high 21 points for the Knicks, who havent won at home since beating Milwaukee on Oct. 30 in their season opener. "Nine straight, eight straight, whatever we lost, we just cant seem to get it together," Anthony said. "Cant seem to figure it out, but we have to. We dont have no choice but to figure this out." In a game that featured 12 ties and 17 lead changes, the Pelicans trailed 93-88 after Hardaways 3-pointer with 6:42 remaining. However, New Orleans then scored the next 10 points, as Evans started the streak with a three-point play and ended it with two free throws with 2:46 left. The Knicks pulled within three on Anthonys 3-pointer with 54 seconds left. But, after a Pelicans turnover, Hardaway and Anthony missed potential game-tying 3s and Evans hit a free throw with 15 seconds remaining to secure the win. "I thought down the stretch we played on our heels," Knicks coach Mike Woodson said. "We had so many breakdowns again on the ball defence. We are not taking pride in guarding. Ive got to find some identity with this team. Somehow we have to get this monkey off our back." Neither team led by more than seven points in the game. A 19-8 run by the Knicks gave them their biggest lead of the game, 49-42, on Hardaways 3-pointer with 19 seconds left in the second quarter. Anderson scored inside with a second left before halftime to make it a five-point game. "We knew we had to step up defensively and eliminate easy shots and we did that in the second half," said Anderson, who also made seven 3-pointers in a game at Madison Square Garden while playing for Orlando during the 2011-12 season. "We outplayed them and imposed our will." New Orleans had an 8-0 run in the third to open its biggest lead at 76-69 on Evans layup with 52 seconds left. Jrue Holiday finished with 11 points and nine rebounds for the Pelicans. Andrea Bargnani had 17 points for the Knicks. J.R. Smith and Raymond Felton each had 12. "We lost and its killing me right now," Felton said. "We need to find a way to end this losing streak. I dont care how ugly it is." The win for the Pelicans was just their second in the last 10 meetings between the teams. NOTES: The last time the Knicks lost nine in a row was March 19-April 4, 2006, under Larry Brown. The Knicks also lost 10 in a row that season from Jan. 28-Feb. 13. The Knicks havent won since a 95-91 victory at Atlanta on Nov. 13. Andy Craven Jersey . As if the individual strands of grey hair or the increasing amount of joint pain werent reminders enough, the impending end of Jeters career is a slap-in-the-face indicator of a generations fleeting youth. Stefan Frei Jersey . The Mercedes duo of three-time Canadian Grand Prix champion Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg has won all six races to start the season, finishing one-two in the last five. http://www.seattlesoundersteamshop.com/Authentic-Zach-Scott-Seattle-Sounders-Jersey/ . Warren made six birdies and a bogey for a 5-under total of 139 to sit one shot ahead of Felipe Aguilar of Chile, who carded a 69. David Horsey of England was also on 5 under through 15 holes to join Warren atop the leaderboard before play was stopped.OTTAWA -- Bobby Ryan endured pain and discomfort as he tried to help his new team find success. In the end, the Ottawa Senators wingers injury became too much to bear. Ryans season came to an end March 27 as he underwent surgery for a sports hernia that had been bothering him since November. "For me, individually, I felt like being here, new team, new situation and we were up and down as a team and werent where we needed to be as a team (so) I wanted to play," Ryan said. "I wanted to compete with the guys." Ryan had the support of the organization and his teammates to keep playing. Trainers did their best to help Ryan deal with the daily pain, but things finally came to a head. Ryan had hoped to wait until the end of the season to undergo surgery, but a collision with the boards in Dallas on March 22 forced him to shut things down. "We hoped that the Olympic break would really calm it down and it was quite the opposite that happened," Ryan said. "I came back and it was beyond what we thought I could play through, but to me it meant more to play at that point. It was whatever it was going to take. "When I fell into the wall in Dallas that was kind of the end of it." Ryan finished the season with 23 goals and 48 points since being acquired from the Anaheim Ducks last July. Coming into training camp Ryan was eager to play a significant role with the Senators, and looking back the 27-year-old says hes not sure how to assess his first season in Ottawa. "I dont know if happy is the right word," Ryan said. "I think Im indifferent towards it right now. Even though Ive been doing absolutely nothing there hasnt been a whole lot of time to reflect on it. There were certainly games that Im going to remember and if we end up missing (the playoffs) by four, five, six points theres going to be games that a lot of us remember." As a whole Ryan said he cant help but feel a little frustrated by how the injury affected his performance. Ryan will be heading into the final year of his contract next season, and while he hasnt given much thought to his status he said he would be happy to stay in Ottawa. "I love it here, we (Ryan and fiancee Danielle Rhodes) love it here more importantly," said Ryan. "Its been a great change for us. When the time comes if thats the route (general manager Bryan Murray) wants to go to sit down and have conversations well certainly do that." Ryan went as far as saying that he could even see himself having a long future with Ottawa. Recovery from the surgery isnt expected to hamper Ryans off-season training. For now he is extremely limited, but will be able to start light training in tthe next couple of weeks and then should be fine to resume his regular training regimen over the summer. Cristian Roldan Jersey. While the rest of his teammates arent ready to call it a season just yet, the Senators slim hopes of making the playoffs suffered dramatically with Wednesdays 2-1 loss to the New York Islanders. With six games remaining the Senators are focused on finishing strong starting with Fridays game against the Montreal Canadiens. The last time the two teams met the Senators suffered a crushing overtime loss in was the first of what turned out to be a five-game losing streak, which many point to as the turning point of Ottawas season. "That was a tough game," said forward Clarke MacArthur. "We let that one get away. Thats just learning to play with confidence when you have the lead and knowing how to play when you have the lead." Games against Montreal are usually competitive, and on Friday the Senators will be looking for redemption. "You always want to play hard against them, theyre a competitive team," added MacArthur. "We wont have any trouble getting up for that one." As a group the Senators are at a loss to explain how things slipped away, but realize consistency was likely the biggest problem. "The potential that we have on our team and in our lineup is there," said defenceman Marc Methot. "We have the skill set we just couldnt seem to put it together and ultimately I think thats what killed us." Senators coach Paul MacLean said the team spent too much time in their own zone, allowed too many turnovers and took too many penalties The Senators are the second-most penalized team in the league with 404 infractions. The Flyers lead the league with 405. When asked how to change the mindset MacLean made it sound simple. "Practice is the first solution we have and the next solution I guess is different players." For now MacLean says hes focused on the next six games and says the team has to be ready for its next opponent and cant speculate on what changes might be made for next season. "We could say we can change everything, but the reality is you cant just blow everything up," said MacLean. "Weve done a lot of good work here in the last three years. It doesnt look like it right now, but weve had a lot of growth in a lot of our players and we need to recognize that." Notes: D Erik Karlsson was given a maintenance day Thursday. C Jason Spezza did not skate and will be a game day decision Friday. D Jared Cowen and LW Colin Greening are both expected to miss Friday and Saturdays game. Shortly after the name Fellaini and the number 31 were ironed on to the back of one of footballs most iconic club shirts late Monday night, a record breaking transfer window slammed shut - then in less time than it takes to sign a cheque for €100m, much of world football immediately turned its attention to crucial world cup qualifiers. Authentic Sean Lee Cowboys Jersey . Sadly not here though, But when the nation awoke Tuesday morning little did we know then what a most eventful post Labour Day week in soccer lay in store for this most glorious land we are all privileged to call home. Rather ominously it began with yet more revelations the global match fixing industry had uprooted itself from its Malaysian base for a profitable summer visit to southern Ontario. World renowned match fixing super sleuth Declan Hill, who himself hails from that very same Canadian province, would have taken no pleasure in uttering the words he did on the radio Tuesday afternoon. Like all successful criminals, the global money printing syndicates had identified a marshmallow soft target. For all the good it has done for football development in the region, the CSL has reportedly become a favoured destination for these criminal tourists. What makes this all the more remarkable is that this is happening, almost encouraged to occur, right under the noses of one of the globes most recognized law enforcement agencies. Hill wasnt finished, He signed off his blog posting with the promise of yet more revelations to come. In the interim, its well past time for the RCMP to get off its high horses and intervene whilst getting the full cooperation of all the relevant Canadian soccer authorities. Meanwhile in a Toronto suburb, Toronto FCs Kevin Payne went to bed Tuesday night in the knowledge his brief time in the city of Canadas original MLS franchise had come to an all too familiar, highly embarrassing end. The well-oiled revolving Princess Gate door has become Canadian soccers version of Buckingham Palaces annual changing of the guard. Part of MLSs original fabric, Payne spent way too much of his time explaining himself. Banging on about the difficulties and challenges, than actually finding the required solutions. Let alone set about signing the required winning talent Toronto FCs fantastic fan base surely deserve. If the sophomore Impact have been able to sign the likes of Alessandro Nesta, Marco Di Vaio and Matteo Ferrari as Payne wiled away his final DC days. Then under his TFC watch, sign players of the Hernan Bernarello and Adran Lopez calibre and pedigree - why cant an individual Don Garber describes as one of MLSs most legendry executives do the same? Bluntly put and as I stated when Payne was appointed as TFC Governor General last November, the leagues global reach has moved well on and firmly away from its original structures. Ones that Payne so effortlessly exploited early on in his almost two decade spell at DC United. Far easier to scout and sign the best the US soccer college system produces than it is to swim with the sharks and pariahs of world football, hey Kevin? The print hadnt even dried on the Toronto FC official statement announcing KPs demise, when the world famous bait-and-switch PR card was played by MLSE. The conversation immediately reverting to the possibility of a TFC and Argos time share. On hearing this, my mind immediately shifted to a previous life, and another senior soccer executive who goes by the KP moniker. Stand up Kevin Pipe. CSA Chief Operation Officer who in an act of sheer desperation back in 2005 offered the Toronto Argonauts everything but the actual goal nets which were required to build a soccer stadium, as ways to ensure Toronto became the capital city of FIFA Under-20 World Cup Canada 2007. We all know now of course how that turned out. I wont easily forget that now legendry November 2005 afternoon at Toronto City Hall as I listened in on-line to a rather heated debate as approvals were given for the construction of the so called national soccer stadium on city owned land at Exhibition Place. A gift horse MLSE welcomed with open arms. Meanwhile outside of Toronto, many of the most influential stakeholders of Canadian soccer were left furious with the outcome as $20 million or so of federally donated tax dollars were fully placed in the bank account marked; Stadium Construction. Pipe rightfully lost his job, Toronto got its soccer stadium where a few months on from completion a very certain future son-in-law of Diego Maradona, Sergio Kun Agüero scored one of the goals in the Under-20 final as Argentina reigned supreme down by the lake Ontario water in summer 07. This week we got a very rude reminder, part of Pipes tainted legacy has ensured it will be MLSE and not the CSA who decides if a ground share is a viable option at what is supposed to be the national soccer stadium. The mere fact it is the Argos who toyed and ultimately let down our national body back in the mid 2000s makes the possibility for a TFC and Argos marriage for me all that more difficult to fathom. Mercifully the emotional roller coaster work week for Canadian soccer ended on a highly memorable, vastly more enjoyable note. The most famous Geordie in womens world football committing himself to the WNT cause all the way to 2020 as a very visionary CSA saw off any advances for Herdman - for a soon to be celebrating 150th birthday celebrating English FA. All this coming against a backdrop of the MNT Floro era getting under way this week in Valencia, Spain. Put that in your Pipe and smoke it. His hustle play was the one that made all the difference. Moustakas homered and drove in his fourth run by beating a relay throw to first in the ninth inning, helping the Royals beat the Diamondbacks 4-3 Wednesday night to win their fifth straight series. "He (Hill) made a great play on that and Im just running down the line to get to first and get that run, which turned out to be pretty big," Moustakas said. Kansas City rolled over Arizona in the opener and had just enough offence for Yordana Ventura (9- to take the second game. Moustakas, who was 1 for 13 to start the six-game road trip, hit a two-run homer off Josh Collmenter (8-6) in the third inning and added a run-scoring single off the right-hander in the fourth. He was initially called out on the groundball in the ninth inning, but a review showed his headfirst dive beat the throw, allowing Billy Butler to score for a 4-2 lead. The Royals needed the extra run, too. Closer Greg Holland gave up a pair of singles and a sacrifice fly to Mark Trumbo in the bottom half before closing out his 32nd save. The scrappy victory was the Royals sixth in seven games, pulling them within 3 1-2 games of Detroit in the AL Central. "This was a big win for us with Detroit losing," Royals manager Ned Yost said. "Every game is huge." The Diamondbacks certainly had their chances, particularly against Ventura. Miguel Montero had three of Arizonas 12 hits and Hill had his 1,300th career hit with a run-scoring single in the third inning. The Diamondbacks just couldnt come up with the big hits when they needed them, stranding 11 runners while going 2 for 14 with runners in scoring position. "It was a game we should have done better, a more productive job of taking care of our opportunities," Arizona manager Kirk Gibson said. The Royals turned the series opener into a laugher, scoring 10 runs on three swings. Nori Aoki hit a grand slam, Butler had a three-run homer among his four hits, and Salvador Perez added a three-run shot in the 12-2 rout. Kansas City had another long ball early against Collmenter, this one a two-run shot byy Moustakas in the second inning, his team-leading 14th of the season. Youth Dak Prescott Jersey. The Royals tacked on another run in the fourth, going up 3-2 on Moustakas run-scoring single. Collmenter was good against everyone except Moustakas, though, allowing one other hit while striking out six in six innings. "That is the difference: him (Ventura) pitching and getting out of jams and me pitching myself into a jam and not getting out of it," Collmenter said. Ventura had at least seven strikeouts in his previous two starts, including a win over Minnesota after allowing a run in seven innings his last outing. The rookie right-hander kept piling up the Ks against the Diamondbacks, notching eight while working around baserunners nicely. He gave up run-scoring singles to Hill and David Peralta in the third inning, but little else despite struggling with his command on off-speed pitches. Ventura allowed eight hits. PERALTAS YEAR Peralta hasnt stopped hitting since being called up on June 1. The rookie outfielder went 2 for 4 against the Royals for his 23rd multi-hit effort in 53 games. Peralta also is second among rookies in the majors with a .315 average. YOSTS 800th Yost reached a big milestone, notching his 800th victory as a manager. Yost spent his first six years as a manager in Milwaukee, where he played. Hes been in Kansas City for the past five seasons, racking up 343 wins. "You sit back and look at 800 wins, I didnt win any of those games," he said. "Those guys and a lot of guys like them did." TRAINERS ROOM Diamondbacks: RHP Daniel Hudson made his first rehab appearance with Arizonas rookie league team Tuesday night, allowing a run on two hits with two strikeouts in an inning. He had Tommy John surgery for the second time last year and hasnt pitched in the majors since mid-2012. UP NEXT Royals: RHP Jeremy Guthrie had his first scoreless appearance of the season the last time out, holding Oakland to three hits while striking out six in six innings on Saturday. Diamondbacks: LHP Vidal Nuno, Thursdays starter, has yet to win with the Diamondbacks despite pitching decently since being traded from the New York Yankees. Hes 0-2 with a 3.07 ERA in five starts with Arizona and allowed a run in six innings of a no-decision against Pittsburgh his last outing. NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

After 10 years and 15 fights in the UFC, Montreal welterweight Patrick The Predator Cote says he fights for fun these days. Frank Clark Seahawks Jersey . And why not. The 34-year-old Cote has pretty much seen it all. In his UFC debut in 2004, he was moved from the undercard to the main event at the last minute — not to mention elevated a weight class — when former light-heavyweight champion Tito Otiz needed an opponent at UFC 50 (Cote lost but acquitted himself well). He made the final of Season 4 of The Ultimate Fighter, fought Anderson Silva for the middleweight title, endured both losing and winning streaks, suffered through knee surgeries, was cut by UFC and fought in three weight classes. So heading into his third fight at 170 pounds, its perhaps no surprise that Cote feels no pressure in meeting Stephen Wonderboy Thompson at UFC 178 in Las Vegas on Saturday. I feel so good right now because I have what was missing in my team before, Cote said in an interview. I have a good nutritionist, I have a sports psychologist, I feel like I have no weakness around me any more. I feel like my team is complete now and I have no worries about anything. And the thing is Im 34 years old, I have the experience now, Im more mature. Im going one fight at a time. I have built my after-career already, so Im fighting because I still enjoy it and not because I need it. Its 10 times easier, Im not nervous. Im going there to have fun but I put a lot of energy and sacrifice in my training camp to be very very ready for this fight. Cote (21-8 including 7-8 in the UFC) already has a second career in TV, serving as a sport analyst at TVA Sports and French-language colour commentator for the UFC. Cote will yield his UFC commentary position to a fill-in this weekend. Hes pretty good but Im better, Cote said with a laugh. The former middleweight last fought in April, earning a decision over Kyle Noke. Uninjured, he wanted to get back into the cage as soon as possible. But at the same time I wanted a good fight and a good name and nobody was available, he said. He also wanted to return to Las Vegas having fought the last three times in Quebec. Since defeating Ricardo Almeida at UFC 86 in July 2008, Cote has fought seven times in the UFC but only once in Vegas (a loss to Cung Le at UFC 148 in July 2012) They gave me this opportunity. Its against a good guy and I think with a win, Ill be very close to cracking the top 15, Cote said. Cote doesnt mind being on the preliminary card. He says it allows him to watch the rest of the fighters. My paycheque doesnt change if Im on the main card or the prelims, he said. His place on the card does affect sponsorship interest, he conceded. But right now, to be honest with you, the sponsorship market is not very good. Cote and Thompson (9-1) trained briefly together in Montreal in 2008. We know each other pretty well, Cote said of the 31-year-old South Carolina native, a former undefeated kickboxer. We respect each other but at the end of the day theres going to be only one winner and I truly believe thats going to be me. For a lot of reasons. Stephen Thompson is very crafty on his feet, he has flashy moves and hes very accurate. But hes like that when you let him take the pace of the fight. If I try to make a technical fight with him, hes going to make me look bad. Hes not going to hurt me. I have more power than him. I have better wrestling, I have better jiu-jitsu but I have to be careful about his flashy moves and his footwork. I have to cut all the angles of the cage, not run after him and put a lot of pressure and bully him. I have to make it like a brawl. If Cote needs a reminder, he just has to think of the Le fight. Cote believes he lost to the flashy former world kickboxing champion because he ran after him as the bout progressed. Cote has expanded his training regimen in recent years. After dropping to 170 pounds to beat Bobby Voelker at UFC 158, he went back to school to learn more about nutrition. I thought I knew something nutrition but I didnt know anything. Seriously. For this fight, he spent two weeks in Thailand — his second training stint there. He also added swimming and sprinting to his routine. His body looks the better for it. It looks like my body reacted differently this time, he said. Weve been working with my nutritionist on a new meal plan, new things around my training ... Its a good result at the end. A tweet Tuesday from his last training session showed Cote showing off a six-pack. I fought most of my career at 185 (pounds) so we werent sure if I had one, joked Cote. Its good, its really there. PHILADELPHIA -- Yet another extra-inning game was fine by the New York Mets, provided they won. [url=http://www.authenticraiders

PHILADELPHIA -- Yet another extra-inning game was fine by the New York Mets, provided they won. Sean Smith Raiders Jersey . Lucas Duda hit a two-run homer with two outs in the 11th, lifting the Mets over the Philadelphia Phillies 4-3 Sunday in the third straight meeting between the teams to run long. The Mets and Phillies split a pair of 14-inning games the previous two days, combining to play nearly 11 hours. Duda came off the bench in the bottom of the 10th at first base, then connected in the 11th to help the Mets win for the fifth time in six games. "We are getting tired, (but) they are great to win," Mets manager Terry Collins said. "They lift the spirits up and it does get the energy up, even though youre tired physically. You know you can win these kinds of games." Ryan Howard hit an early two-run homer for the Phillies. Marlon Byrd hit a solo shot in the 11th. "In close games, extra-inning games, not to be able to just get the job done is very frustrating," Philadelphia manager Ryne Sandberg said. Josh Edgin (1-0) struck out the side in the 10th. Jenrry Mejia held on for his sixth save in as many chances. Phillippe Aumont (0-1), called up prior to the game to provide some help to the tired Philadelphia bullpen, got the first two outs of the 11th. After a walk to Travis dArnaud, Duda hit his eighth home run deep into the seats in left-centre field. "I was lucky enough to square a ball up," Duda said. "I was just trying to hit it hard." Duda did get a respite from not starting, but said all of the innings can take a toll. "Its both physically and mentally draining," he said. "Just continue to go. They have to play, too." The teams conclude their rare five-game series on Monday night. Adding Sundays time of 3 hours, 29 minutes, the first four games have taken 17 hours, 29 minutes over 48 innings, and the teams have employed 46 pitchers. Aumont was one of three relievers promoted by the teams from the minors Sunday. The Phillies also added left-hander Cesar Jimenez while the Mets brought up left-hander Dana Eveland Triple-A. Although neither figured into the decision, each teams starter gave the bullpen some rest. Cole Hamels went seven strong innings for the Phillies, allowing one earned run and six hits. He struck out eight and walked four, though three were intentional. Jonathon Niese tossed eight innings and gave up two runs. His lone mistake came against Howard, who had been 3 for 22 with 10 strikeouts before homering in the fourth for a 2-1 lead. Knowing the Mets bullpen was thin, Nieses game plan was to attack the strike zone early and often. "I was going to pound the zone and they were going to hit me hard early or they were going to get outs early," Niese said. "I wasnt trying to trick guys out there. I wouldnt say it was a burden, but I knew it was important (to go deep in the game) because I knew our bullpen was getting beat up lately." Niese departed after throwing 91 pitches and said he could have gone two more innings if needed. Collins appreciated the outing by his starter. "Tremendous effort by a lot of people starting with Niese," he said. "We needed somebody to go that deep in the game." New York came back with a run in the sixth on Curtis Grandersons sacrifice fly to tie it at 2. The Mets had taken a 1-0 lead in the fourth on Chris Youngs sacrifice fly that scored David Wright. Third baseman Reid Brignac made an over-the-shoulder catch in foul territory, but his strong throw wasnt in time. NOTES: Jimenez pitched a scoreless eighth. ... Mets CF Juan Lagares left in the 10th due to right ribcage pain. He was a late scratch from the lineup on Saturday due to the same injury. Collins said Lagares would return to New York Sunday night to be evaluated. ... To make room for Eveland, New York sent OF Matt den Dekker to Triple-A. ... The Phillies placed Jeff Manship on the 15-day DL with a right quad strain and sent OF-1B Darin Ruf to Triple-A. They also designated left-hander Jeremy Horst for assignment. ... The series concludes at 7:05 Monday with Mets RHP Bartolo Colon (4-5, 4.73) opposing Phillies RHP Roberto Hernandez (2-2, 3.76). Shilique Calhoun Raiders Jersey . LONDON, Ont. -- Antoine Bibeau bought the Val-dOr Foreurs valuable time at the Memorial Cup with his 51-save shutout Friday. Val-dOr didnt have a full tank mentally or physically in a 1-0 win over the host London Knights to kick off the tournament. Theyd won the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League title in a Game 7 on Tuesday in Baie-Comeau, Que. But Bibeaus heroics allow the Foreurs to rest on that important first win of the tournament for two days before facing the Ontario Hockey Leagues Guelph Storm on Monday. "It really was Bibeau who made the difference tonight," Foreurs forward Anthony Mantha said. "Winning this game gives us a little break, gives us two days off and we come back strong on Monday. Its just a confidence-builder for our team in general." Mantha, a first-round draft pick of the Detroit Red Wings, scored in the first period for his 82nd goal in as many games for the Foreurs this season. Among Bibeaus pivotal saves was getting his blocker on a penalty-shot attempt by London forward Bo Horvat early in the third period and stopping Knights captain Chris Tierney on a breakaway in the first. The Toronto Maple Leafs prospect faced an average of 40 shots a game in the final four games of the QMJHL final series against the Drakkar, which set him up for Fridays performance. "In the last couple of weeks I was used to receiving lots of shots, so I think I was just ready and I was just trying to give the team a chance to win tonight," Bibeau said. "We wanted to get the first win as quick as possible." The Memorial Cup has been awarded to Canadian junior hockey champions since 1919 in memory of those who died in the First World War. The tournament includes the Ontario, Western and Quebec champions as well as the host team. The Western Hockey League champion Edmonton Oil Kings face the OHLs Storm on Saturday. The team with the best record after the preliminary round earns a bye to the final May 25. The second- and third-place teams meet in the semifinal May 23. If two teams are tied for third, a tiebreaker game is played. The Foreurs guaranteed themselves at least a tiebreaker game with their win Friday. This years tournament opener featured the least-rested team against a hockey club playing its first game in five weeks. The Knights were eliminated in the second round of playoffs by Guelph on April 11. The hosts Knights held the Foreurs scoreless on a pair of two-man advantages in the first twwo periods and outshot them 51-28. Lyle Alzado Raiders Jersey. London goaltender Anthony Stolarz played his first game in over seven weeks because of an eight-game suspension in the post-season. Stolarz played well in stopping all but one shot in front of a capacity crowd at Budweiser Gardens. The weary Foreurs sometimes reached for a pass instead of skating for the puck. "We need to play a little bit better defensively," head coach Mario Durocher said. "I think at one point we were mentally tired and we started to run all over in our defensive zone." London was one of three teams who scored over 300 goals in the OHL this season. But the Knights didnt recover their scoring touch despite three power-play chances, the penalty-shot opportunity and pulling Stolarz for an extra attacker with almost two minutes to go. London also shot the puck wide of the net several times when they had a shooting lane. "Its definitely a critical moment and Im definitely kicking myself for not scoring on that," Horvat said of his penalty-shot attempt. "Theres not much you can do about it now. Learn from it and not dwell on the past. "Yeah, missed nets. We probably had 10 missed nets. I think we could have had 60 shots. Maybe thats something we have to start thinking about and starting burying out chances." The Knights face the Oil Kings in their next game Sunday. This is Londons third straight trip to the Memorial Cup after winning the OHL championship the previous two years. The Knights lost to Shawinigan in overtime in the 2012 final and were eliminated in last years semifinal by the Portland Winterhawks in Saskatoon. Bibeau, a 20-year-old from Victoriaville, almost had a goaltenders worst nightmare in the first period. While waiting for the puck to drop for a faceoff at the far end of Budweiser Gardens, he looked up at the scoreboard a little too long and looked down just in time to close his legs on the puck. "The 200-foot (save) was easy. It was just me. I wasnt ready," Bibeau said. "I saw the puck at the last second. It was an easy save, but a key save I think." Mantha, six foot five and 204 pounds, swooped from Stolarzs left and tucked the puck under the Knights goaltender on his stick side at 16:20 of the first period. The game was scheduled for 7 p.m., but the puck dropped 34 minutes later because of pre-game ceremonies that included the song "Highway of Heroes" by The Trews. NFL Jerseys China ' ' '
