Cheap Magic Jerseys Authentic . Wright, who has a bruised left rotator cuff, had a follow-up examination in New York on Monday. Collins said the exam "went OK." Wright will receive more treatment this week while resting his non-throwing shoulder. Collins said he hopes Wright will be ready to play on Friday, when the Mets open a weekend home series against Texas. "Hes not 100 per cent so were going to give him a few more days," Collins said. "Hes going to meet us in New York on Friday and be ready to go then. "I thought it was important to make sure that when he comes back that we dont have issues." Wright was scratched from Friday nights lineup against Pittsburgh and also was held out Saturday and Sunday. He is hitting .277 with six homers and 41 RBIs. CHARLOTTE, N. Wholesale Mets Jerseys .C. -- Danica Patrick traditionally winds down each season with a series of interviews designed to reflect on the past year and look ahead at whats next for one of the most recognizable figures in sports. She deliberately left something out of her 2012 exit interviews, waiting until two days after the season ended to announce she was divorcing her husband after seven years of marriage. So as she relaxed earlier this month at Homestead-Miami Speedway in a motorhome parked near the bus boyfriend and fellow driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr., it was imperative to get the important stuff out of the way first: Was she planning any bombshell announcements in the next week? Pregnant? Engaged? "Pregnant? No. I can promise you not," Patrick laughed. "The other one? I dont know. Im the girl. It could be never, it could be tomorrow." Patrick, who disclosed two months after announcing her divorce that she and Stenhouse were dating, is open to getting married again. "I would, absolutely. I love love," she told The Associated Press in a wide-ranging interview. "But if Im getting married is not a question I know the answer to. Should we go get Ricky and you can ask him yourself?" This is the new Danica Patrick, who for most of her career has been viewed as guarded, even cold. She was light and playful as the sometimes scantily clad "GoDaddy Girl" in all those Super Bowl commercials, but she was strictly business at the race track, where she has struggled to put together results to match the hype. Patrick was, in all regards, an enigma. She spent five seasons driving for Michael Andretti in the IndyCar Series, and the team owner saw a seismic shift in Patrick as her superstar status exploded far beyond the small world of open-wheel racing. She began dabbling in NASCAR in 2010, and left Andretti behind when she made the full-time jump to stock cars in 2012. He has followed her from afar since, and thought he recognized Danica from simpler times when he saw her become the first woman in history to win the pole at the Daytona 500 earlier this year. "Now that her husbands out of there -- he was not a good influence on her, I can tell you that," Andretti said in March, two months after Patricks historic run at Daytona. "Thats when things went south with us when he started getting involved. He was very controlling. Had her think in funny ways. She was getting out of control. Her head was getting so big. You just couldnt talk to her. Im hoping shes coming back down to Earth a little bit." If Patrick needed to become more grounded, her two years in NASCAR have given her that, cowboy boots and all. Stenhouse, a Mississippi native whod never visited New York City before he began dating Patrick, has had a total transformation on the one-time diva in the designer heels. Asked how Stenhouse has changed her, she flips rapidly through her phone showing pictures of the couple at various country music concerts. Her taste in music has changed so much that Patrick will join Trace Adkins as co-host of the American Country Awards on Dec. 10. She watches dirt track racing, goes to Professional Bull Riding events and has taken up golf, improving from an inability to hit the ball to trash-talking with Stenhouse and confidently wagering with him there will come a day she will beat him on the links. "Id say I have a lot more fun doing a lot of different things," Patrick said. "Theres a lot more things that Ive tried for the first time this year and Im open to doing, whether its going skeet shooting or learning how to play golf. The fun weve had having our families here on the weekend, just having everybody stay on the buses and be with us. Its just been a great year." And that goes for the track, too, regardless of what the statistics show. Patrick finished 27th in the final Sprint Cup standings and lost the rookie battle to Stenhouse, who finished 19th. Although she completed 94.2 per cent of the laps, she finished on the lead lap in only 12 of 36 races. It wasnt the season anyone hoped for, particularly after Patrick became the first woman to lead laps in the Daytona 500. She wound up eighth when she failed to anticipate Jimmie Johnsons race-winning move and couldnt stop Dale Earnhardt Jr.s late-race jockeying for position. It was her only top-10 finish of the year. Although she is brutally hard on herself, team co-owner Tony Stewart believes Patrick did just fine this season. A broken right leg in August kept Stewart out of the car the final four months of the season and the three-time champion was able to evaluate Patrick firsthand. "I see room for improvement, but I see a lot of potential," he said, praising her attention to details, preparation, focus and communication with her crew. "I think she realizes to a certain degree she took a big bite doing this as early as she did, and I think everybodys judging of her, grading of her, I think you have to look at how much time shes really had in a stock car. The time shes been in a stock car, shes done a pretty good job. I value it for what it is, not necessarily the result at the end of the day." Patrick had just 10 Sprint Cup starts before this season, and 58 starts in the Nationwide Series, where the cars are heavier but have less horsepower. Stewart has seen that Patrick lacks confidence at the start of each race, and often needs to wait for her GoDaddy team to make the needed adjustments to her No. 10 Chevrolet to get comfortable. "Im not sure if shes so used to IndyCar and how it is, I think she struggles finding and knowing what to do to work around the problem," Stewart said. "As soon as they get it close for her, the pace comes up. But at the beginning, when everybodys cars arent driving well, we have to figure out how to get her more comfortable wrestling the car." Patrick knows exactly where and when she struggles, and blames inexperience. "When you need to get to the very limit of the car, especially when things are challenging, is when it shows up. Like first laps of practice, or qualifying, restarts, start of a green flag run -- all the things when you are testing the limit and having to be confident and know the limits. I dont know them yet, and Im not confident," she said. "When the car is right, its all good, I will gain spots. There is a big contrast in those moments." She is judged harshly by fans who look at her numbers, or see her running at the back of the field, and scoff at her presence in the Sprint Cup Series. They argue shes only with Stewart-Haas Racing because sponsor GoDaddy pays her tab, and she hasnt earned the right to race alongside 2014 teammates Stewart, Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch. "She doesnt read the comments at all," Stenhouse said. "Shes pretty hard on herself, she doesnt need to read it from anyone else." Stenhouse, the protective boyfriend and on-track competitor, has learned to tune out the critics and not focus on Patricks race. He said he will sometimes notice another driver racing her harder than necessary, but its not his problem and he does nothing but discuss it after with her. "Ill talk to her, but as far as confront them? No," he said. "Lets create an army," Patrick goaded. "Come on. Tony is on board. Kevin is on board. Kurt is on board. Its an army of awesome." "Huh?" Stenhouse said, wrinkling his forehead. "I mean, Ive got my own things to do out there." "Its fine," she replied. "Ill learn to fight my own fights out there. Ill learn how to take people out." Happier than shes ever been, personally and professionally, Patrick sees a bright 2014 ahead. As SHR expands to four cars and adds Harvick and Busch, she knows expectations will be even higher for her to perform. But with a year of experience, she hopes to meet new goals Stewart sets for her progress. In the meantime, shell travel to Las Vegas next week for the season-ending awards banquet, where shell play a supporting role as Stenhouse collects his Rookie of the Year title. The competitor in her isnt thrilled, and Patrick feigned a halfhearted cheer. "Im just kidding, babe," she smiled at Stenhouse, "Im extremely happy for you. You had to beat me." FORTALEZA, Brazil - With tears streaming down his face after being kneed in the back, Neymar was carried off the field on a stretcher. Cheap NBA Jerseys . He wont be coming back. Not to this World Cup, anyway. The 22-year-old Brazil striker, the one with the hopes of a nation on his shoulders, was ruled out of the rest of the tournament after fracturing his third vertebra during Fridays 2-1 quarterfinal win over Colombia. "Its a big loss for us," Brazil midfielder Fernandinho said. "We need to find a way to stay together and become stronger after losing our greatest player. We will try to win this World Cup and for sure we will dedicate it to Neymar." Neymar is the biggest football star in Brazil, and one of the biggest at the tournament along with Argentina forward Lionel Messi. His face has been plastered on billboards and shown on television continuously, leading many of his staunchest supporters to copy his dyed-blonde fauxhawk. His millions of fans had expected Neymars World Cup to end with him holding the trophy, not being carried off the field in tears. Neymar was kneed by Colombia defender Juan Camilo Zuniga late in the second half at the Arena Castelao. He was taken to a private clinic and was released a short time later. He was not expected to need surgery, Brazil team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar said, but he will also not be able to face Germany on Tuesday in the World Cup semifinals. "He will not be in condition to play, he will need a few weeks to be fit again," Lasmar said. "He is very, very sad." About 50 Brazil fans, many still wearing the teams jerseys, crowded outside the clinic where Neymar was taken, while the ambulance that carried him remained parked in front, lights blazing. Neymar was hurt in the 86th minute, falling to the ground in pain after Zuniga jumped into him from behind. Brazil teammate Marcelo quickly called for medical assistance when he saw Neymar writhing in pain. Neymar stayed face down until team doctors arrived and put him on a stretcher. "Everybody knew that Neymar would be hunted," Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari said. "Its been happening in the last three matches and we had been talking about it. But nobody listens to us." Fridays match ended with 54 fouls in total — 31 by Brazil and 23 by Colombia. Scolari said Spanish referee Carlos Velasco Carballo should have done more to take control of the match. According to Hulk, another of Brazils striker, Neymar needs more protection from the officials. "Every time is like this. Players always come after Neymar," Hulk said. "The referees need to do more to keep this from happening." ___ Associated Press video journalist Renata Brito contributed to this report. Cheap Swingman Grizzlies Jerseys . They probably ruined Tim Duncans hopes of a career change, though. Duncan wants to be a point guard, coach Gregg Popovich revealed Saturday, a wish that wont be granted.TORONTO – When Maple Leafs head coach Randy Carlyle first coached James van Riemsdyk last season, he was met initially with a hardheadedness that reminded him of someone very familiar. "Maybe I looked in the mirror," Carlyle said, chuckling as he walked off. Blossoming into something special for the Leafs, van Riemsdyk set a new career-high Tuesday night with his 41st point this season, also equaling a career mark with his 21st goal of the year, the game-winner in a 3-2 edging of the Lightning. All the 24-year-old desired when he was traded from Philadelphia to Toronto in the summer of 2012 was an opportunity to prove himself on a grander stage and, with that opportunity, he has most certainly flourished. In addition to goals and points, van Riemsdyk has also set new career-highs in power-play goals (, shots (186), shorthanded goals (1) and power play points (14), already having matched a career-high in assists with 20 on the season – all this in just 53 games. He is also fetching nearly 21 minutes per game – by far the highest of a five-year career – teaming with Phil Kessel and Tyler Bozak on whats become an offensively dominant top line. "That was the key for me is the opportunity," said van Riemsdyk, who feigned no surprise when he was traded for Luke Schenn in a long-rumoured deal on June 23, 2012. "I was always confident in myself as far I think I proved it in Philly. I showed when I had the opportunity to play a lot, play in those key situations, that I was able to be a productive player. Ive been able to get more of those opportunities since coming here. "For me personally, I think it was good to start somewhere else, go to a place where I was going to get a chance to show what I can do." Before being dealt, van Riemsdyk was maybe most known for a seven-goal explosion in the 2011 playoffs as a member of the Flyers, a foreshadowing in many ways of what was coming down the line. Last spring, during his first campaign with the Leafs, he offered another tantalizing glimpse of where his career might be headed in the very near future, a force with seven points during a memorable seven-game first round series with Boston. "I think JVR has picked up a lot of where he was in the playoffs last year," Carlyle said prior to Tuesdays game, which snapped a mini two-game slide for the Leafs. "He seemed to be able to take that next step. Hes more confident." "I just want to try to keep getting better and better every single year," van Riemsdyk said. "Ive been given an opportunity here to play in some key situations and play some big minutes. Im definitely happy about that." Five Points 1. More van Riemsdyk Carlyle indicated that van Riemsdyk often proved stubborn early in his Toronto tenure, but with time has grown more receptive to the prodding of the coaching staff. "He used to be a guy yeah, but [or] but if," Carlyle said of van Riemsdyks response to coaching. "But hes not that [anymore]. Now hes more receptive to [it] … Theres a difference between coaching and criticism. Sometimes they all become the same to players. Thats the difficult part is when to use it, when not to use it as a coach." It was only days into the 2013 campaign that Carlyle first publicly prodded van Riemsdyk. "Hes got to go into the dirty areas a little bit more and thats one of the things were going to ask of him," said Carlyle before an early season game against Pittsburgh. "Hes a big man, who can go to the front of the net. Hes got soft hands around the net. We want to see him drive that puck to that area..." Improvements in those areas have notably helped the New Jersey native blossom into an offensive force, specifically his willingness to camp out in the difficult areas around the net. 2. Shouldering a Heavy Burden With 40 stops on Tuesday, Jonathan Bernier improved to 7-1-2 this season when facing 40 or more shots this season, an impressive mark under the strain of a heavy workload. Bernier made a number of key saves throughout the evening, but none more brilliant than a stop on Martin St. Louis with just over three minutes to go in regulation. Sliding to his left, in rhythm with a Hedman cross-ice feed, the 25-year-old used his left pad to turn aside the surefire game-tying goal. "Great save, game-saving save," Kadri said. "We almost expect him to make those type of saves now because hes done it so often. Hes a great goaltender, uup with the best, and he definitely showed it there. Cheap Memphis Grizzlies Jerseys. " 3. Kadri Brushes Off Speculation Nazem Kadri scored for the fifth and sixth time in the past four games against Ben Bishop, the NHLs save percentage leader and six-foot-seven Tampa netminder. The first saw the 23-year-old employ six-foot-six Lightning defender Victor Hedman as a screen in transition, the second a sure Highlight of the Night candidate that saw Kadri dance around Hedman before slipping a backhand beyond the grasp of Bishop. Boasting 35 points on the year, Kadri has quickly quieted trade speculation that always seems to bubble in Toronto. "Im just ignoring that," he said. "I dont think I use it as motivation or as a concern – it doesnt discourage me. I just try and focus on what I have to do and what I can bring to the team. I know I can help this team, its just a matter of when." "The thing about him is he doesnt let anything bother him," van Riemsdyk added of Kadri, who is up to 14 goals this season. "Its definitely impressive to see. I think hes probably used to it maybe growing up in the spotlight here." 4. Adjustments for Kadri Sliding out from a slump that lingered for the better part of a month, Kadri has now posted points in six of the past seven games. "Our request [for him] is to play more north-south versus east-west, specifically through the neutral ice," said Carlyle. "When hes not playing well you see him, he gets caught from behind on the back-side pressure. And when hes playing well, he seems to be able to create space in that area." Carlyle also observed that Kadri was playing more physically in recent weeks, adding that his acumen in the faceoff circle had improved. A real source of concern earlier in the year – he was amongst the worst in the league – Kadri has won just under 50 per cent in the past 10 games, victorious on 10 of 16 draws against the Lightning. 5. Gleason Effect Tim Gleason has been paired with Cody Franson for all but two of his 12 games with the Leafs and hes proven a stabilizing force in that span. "Hes a very solid, aggressive, and physical style player," Franson said of Gleason. "For me, hes very easy to read off of. I know hes going in there to try to be aggressive as the first guy. When you have guys like that where you dont have to think too much, it makes it easier. You can react quicker and it makes the plays a little easier to read." Franson, who leads the Toronto defence with 25 points, has benefited from the meat and potatoes style of the longtime Hurricane defender, similar in some ways to the effect Mark Fraser had on the 26-year-old last season. "Mark would always be aggressive trying to get hits and staple guys to the wall and allow our defensive zone coverage to take place," Franson said. "Gleas is the same way. He has a physical mindset and goes in there and tries to get people in tough positions to make plays and allow us to break out of the zone a little easier." Gleason battled through a difficult night against the Lightning. The 30-year-old blocked a shot in one uncomfortable area, received a pass in the face and was then hammered into the end-boards in the final two minutes by Teddy Purcell. Boston also got a boost from Jae Crowder, who posted a career-best 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting to go along with four steals and a pair of blocks. Final Score: Houston 113, Brooklyn 99 Brooklyn, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - James Harden poured in 30 points and led a long-distance barrage that carried the Houston Rockets to a 113-99 win over the slumping Brooklyn Nets. Donatas Motiejunas contributed 18 points and 11 rebounds to the triumph, with Josh Smith chipping in 13 points off the bench for Houston. Brooklyn dropped its season-high sixth straight despite a big game from Mason Plumlee, who tallied a career-high 24 points on 10-of-11 shooting and pulled down 10 rebounds. Jarrett Jack and Bojan Bogdanovic each finished with 13 points in defeat. Nets forward Kevin Garnett played just four-plus minutes before being ejected for an altercation with Dwight Howard with 7:53 left in the first quarter. Jodie Meeks and Jonas Jerebko both hit clutch shots down the stretch as Detroit improved to 9-1 since waiving Josh Smith. Monroe finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds while Drummond added 10 and 14 for the Pistons, who forced 19 turnovers and won despite the Raptors making 54 percent of their shots. Toronto had seven players score in double figures, with Jonas Valanciunas career-high 31 points and 12 rebounds leading the way, but the Atlantic Division leaders fell for the fifth time in six games. Final Score: Orlando 121, Chicago 114 Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Victor Oladipo and Nikola Vucevic both posted 33 points to lead the Orlando Magic to a surprising 121-114 road victory over the Chicago Bulls. Vucevic added 11 rebounds in his fifth straight double-double while Oladipo shot 11-for-17, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc, to help Orlando snap its six-game losing skid. Seven Orlando players scored between five and 10 points in support of Vucevic and Oladipo. Pau Gasol continued to dominate in January, though the Bulls fell to 4-3 in the month. Gasol posted 28 points and 14 rebounds, the fourth time this month that hes collected at least 27 and 14. TORONTO -- Defensive help is on the way to Toronto FC, in the form of a new assistant coach. Cheap MLB Jerseys . Manager Greg Vanney says he is adding a coach who was one of his mentors when it came to defending. "Obviously we have a lot of young defenders who are talented but they need to progress," Vanney said after practice Wednesday. "Hopefully hell be in Sunday or Monday of next week "Hell really really start to push on our defensive group. But hes also been around the game long enough that he understands both sides of the ball. But I really want us to shore up our defensive backline. And then I think we have the quality in attack where we can make a difference." He declined to identify the coach until everything was finalized. Vanney also had good news on the Jermain Defoe front, saying the injured striker could be back in town earlier than the original Sept. 20 date to continue his rehab from a groin injury. There is no word on when Defoe, who is currently in England, might return to action, however. The 31-year-old striker has missed nine games this season (eight through injury and one by suspension) but still leads Toronto in scoring with 11 goals. Toronto (9-11-6) hopes to end a three-game losing and goalless streak when it visits the Chicago Fire (5-7-14) on Saturday. Toronto has won just three of its last 15 games (3-7-5) and fell from fourth to seventh last weekend in the Eastern Conference standings. The top five make the playoffs. Going into play Wednesday, Toronto ranked 14th in the league in goals-against (1.62 per game). Injuries, suspension and lack of depth have cost the team in defence with centre back Steven Caldwell and fullbacks Justin Morrow and Mark Bloom missing 21 games between them. That has forced others to play out of position and put youngsters Doneil Henry and Nick Hagglund in the firing line. Torontos training room is beginning to empty -- the team has lost players to injury for a combined 82 games this season -- but still has work to do. Caldwell (quad) is progressing but still "very questionable" for the weekend, Vanney said. Midfielder Jonathan Osorio (leg muscle) was described as day to day. Defender-midfielder Bradley Orr (toe) did not take part in practice with the main squad Wednesday but is expected to be available this weekend. Vanney said the team is looking at shifting fullback Justin Morrow to centre back with Caldwell and Bradley Orr both nursing injuries. "Its definitely something that weve talked about," said Vanney. "Its not his natural position but obviously hes done it in the past a little bit. Its definitely something thats crossed our mind and we thought about it. I cant say weve made a decision either way but its definitely an option." In the part of practice open to reporters Wednesday, Bloom and Warren Creavalle played fullback in an attacking drill. As for adding a new player, Vanney said "if its the right fit were definitely looking. But nothings been determined yet." With the international transfer window closed, Toronto would have to acquire new talent via an MLS trade or look for a player out of contract. Will Strickland and Duane Watson from TSN 1050s 1 On 1 With Will & Duane are joined on the Three Man Weave this week by On Points Drew Ebanks. On Point is a series of basketball films featuring prominent basketball personalities from across Canada. The trio look at what happened and what needs to happen for Game 2. The heat or The Heat couldnt slow the Spurs. Who and what can? Strickland: The HVAC Havoc in the AT&T Center is another in a long line of arena mishaps and strange occurrences in the history of San Antonio professional hoops, be it snakes in a locker, bats on the court or having the old Boston Garden heat trap trick in play. Whether you believe or not weather was the biggest culprit here, when history is at stake on both sides, you do what is necessary to improve your chances for victory. That said, Miami has to have better contributions from their bench or its One For The Thumb deep in the heart of Texas soon! Ebanks: Only the Spurs can truly stop the Spurs in these playoffs. When this collection of future Hall of Famers and highly productive role players and veterans are moving the ball, spreading the court and creating havoc for rotations they are almost impossible to slow down, never mind stop. If their 3 pointers are falling the only thing left to do is pray. San Antonio plays a beautiful style of basketball, making the game looks so easy and effortless, which in turn causes problems for opposing defenses. Watson: I wouldnt be entirely surprised if Spurs Head Coach Greg Popovich was behind the AC "failure" in the arena. Im sure it will come to light in an ESPN 30 For 30 one day. Despite Miami forcing 22 turnovers, it was the smaller stars for San Antonio that shined bright in Tiago Splitter, Danny Green and Boris Diaw. If the Heat expect to compete in this series, it cant be solely on the backs of the Big Three who scored 62 of their 95 points. LeBron James: Cant Stand The Heat... Or Human? Strickland: I loved the analysis of instant athletic trainers and non-athletes on social media who spent days pontificating on what they or someone else whose name rhymes with Michael Jordan would have done in that situation, but… There will always be a difference between fans and fanatics. Did LeBron shrink in the moment? No. Miami lost the game once James went down. Be sure that preventative maintenance will be the goal to keep James on the court for the rest of the Finals. Ebanks: Of course LeBron James is human. Look, this man is one of the most incredible physical specimens/athletes in the history of sports. 69", 265 lbs. who can play and defend all 5 positions, has the speed of a sprinter and the strength of a power lifter. Hes been pretty much an ironman throughout his career despite being hammered by defenders consistently in his career on his forays to tin. Plenty of players have succumbed to cramps. Heck, if youve played sports and havent had cramps you probably werent playing as hard as you should have. Watson: He cramped up, it happens and has happened in the past. It was a hotbox in the AT&T Center; that much was obvious. The only thing I found interesting was that he didnt seem to be taking any fluids while agonizing on the bench. How vital were bench contributions to Game 1? Strickland: Its no secret that the Spurs may have one of the most productive and diverse benches in NBA Finals history. It was surely an advantage in Game 1, where Manu Ginobili almost outscored the entire Miami bench alone and Booris Diaw combined with him to dish out 17 of the Spurs 30 assists off the pine. Cheap Brewers Jerseys. Vital? No question. The Heats subs not named Ray Allen have to show up for Game 2 to give Miami a chance to take their talents back to South Beach with a split. Ebanks: For any basketball team, especially at the NBA level, benches are extremely important. The less drop off a team has from its starters to their subs means more success, generally speaking. In this series, the Spurs clearly have a definite advantage. In Game 1, San Antonios bench of super-sub Manu Ginobili, Boris Diaw, Marco Bellinelli and Patty Mills outscored the Heats bench of Ray Allen, Norris Cole, Chris Anderson and Shane Battier, 34-20. The Spurs margin of victory was 15, so there you go. One other point: San Antonios bench is also more crucial for them because their main players are older and have more mileage than Miamis. Watson: There hasnt been a more obvious stat disparity between these two teams and it was clear in Game 1. The depth of the Spurs bench has never been secret, outscoring the Heat 34-20. Yet, the rebounding (20-10), assists (17-9) were both overwhelmingly in San Antonios favour. What does Miami need to do to win Game 2? Strickland: No wholesale changes by the Heat are necessary except preventing 36 point 4th quarter explosions. Other than that, continue to impose their defensive identity on the game, crafting live ball turnovers that they convert into fast break points and fouls for the Spurs and getting multiple Triple Singles off the bench from players other than Walter Ray Allen. Ebanks: They need to LEBRON! Hows that for an answer? As King James goes, so do the Miami Heat. Before LeBron James went down in Game 1, the Heat were actually right in the ball game. LeBron has to bounce back and lead Miami to victory in Game 2. If I were the Heat, Id bring in some Miami Air Conditioning specialists of their own, just in case. I mean who knows more about air conditioning than Floridians?!? Watson: The Heat were only down by 94-92 when James left the game for the final time with 3:59 left and then effectively choked on a Spurs 14-3 run to close out the game. They were very much in Game 1 and the defensive pressure on the ball clearly worked. They need contributions from the supporting cast not named Ray Allen. What does San Antonio need to do to hold serve in Game 2? Strickland: They won Game 1, which they did in Miami last year, only to lose the Finals in 7. It will be a long series and this veteran Spurs team knows it. Popovich will implore his charges to protect the pumpkin better despite shooting almost 60 per cent vs the Heat because 22 turnovers are never good. When players 1-12 contribute as they did in Game 1, Game 2 should be no problem because Teamwork Makes The Dream Work! Ebanks: The Spurs I think have to be smelling blood and its only Game 2. Their opponents best player (LBJ) is hobbling, meanwhile San Antonios leader and floor general, Tony Parker, coming off ankle issues, played well and says he feels great and is ready to go for the next game. Watson: More of the same, their game plan was effective. While only five players can play on the court at a given time, everyone gave them something; whether, scoring, defense, ball movement, three-point shooting, or rebounds. That balanced approach has been the cornerstone to the franchises success. RALEIGH, N. Cheap Swingman 76ers Jerseys .C. -- The Carolina Hurricanes hope they now have the leadership tandem in place to turn the franchise around. Bill Peters was introduced Friday as the Hurricanes new coach, the first big hire made by new Carolina general manager Ron Francis. Now its up to Peters to prove it was a shrewd move. Carolina has made three coaching changes since 2006 and has only one playoff appearance to show for it. "When I did my due diligence and went to look at rosters ... were not far off," Peters said. "I think theres lots of pieces here and its up to us and our coaching staff ... to max our group out." A few hours after Peters formal introduction, the Hurricanes made another addition to their management team, hiring 44-year-old Ricky Olczyk -- the younger brother of former NHL coach and current NBC Sports analyst Ed Olczyk -- as an assistant general manager. The younger Olczyk spent six years as Edmontons assistant GM and was the Oilers NHL liaison for all collective bargaining agreement matters. Peters replaces Kirk Muller, who was fired last month -- a week into Francis tenure as GM -- and went 80-80-27 in three seasons with no playoff berths. Instead of an established NHL head coach or a popular ex-player, Francis went with Peters -- a 48-year-old Detroit Red Wings assistant who has never been an NHL head coach but was in demand this off-season. Peters said he interviewed for two other jobs and Francis says he spoke to 10 candidates during "a pretty extensive search," narrowing that to a three-man short list before deciding on Peters and giving him a three-year contract. "You have to take the time to go through it and make sure you get the right guy," Francis said, "and thats what we did." What dazzled Francis was Peters attention to detail: He penned a booklet breaking down the team and brought it to his first interview with them, and his second one included a PowerPoint presentation, Francis said. "Hes extremely, extremely detailed," Francis said. "Hes going to communicate with our players. Our players are going to know where he stands, and theres no little detail that (will) be overlooked." From the outside, his challenge looks daunting: Making the Hurricanes a consistent playoff team. Muller couldnt do it in three years. Neither could Paul Maurice, at least during his second stint with the team. Even Peter Laviolette -- the only Carolina coach to hoist the Stanley Cup -- couldnt get the Hurricanes back to the post-season. Now Peters gets his chance to try to revive a club that has missed the playoffs in seven of the eight years since the Hurricanes won their only Stanley Cup in 2006. The lone post-season berth since that Cup run came in 2009, when the Hurricanes reached the Eastern Conference final in the first year of Maurices second term as coach. Peters plan is to address three glaring problems from last season: Starting games strong, producing more on the power play and winning more often at PNC Arena. Carolina was the leagues third-worst team with the man advantage and was just 18-17-6 at home. "Weve got to become a harder team to play against here in Raleigh," Peters said. His hiring caps about two months of turbulence in the Hurricanes organization. Francis, a Hall of Fame player who has been both an assistant coach and an assistant GM with Carolina, was moved up a rung on the organizations ladder and his mentor, Jim Rutherford, stepped aside after two decades -- and eventually wound up bolting to Pittsburgh to take over as the Penguins GM. Francis first big move came a week later when he fired Muller and put the players on notice that the responsibility for turning the team around is on them, too. After a 46-day search in which some recognizable names were floated, Francis plucked Peters from Mike Babcocks staff with the Red Wings. He spent the past three years working primarily with the Red Wings defencemen and penalty killers. Before joining the Red Wings staff, he coached Rockford of the AHL from 2008-11 and guiding that team to consecutive 40-win seasons. Eight of his Rockford players helped Chicago win the Cup in either 2010 or 2013, and he also coached Spokane (Washington) of the Western Hockey League for three seasons. "This is a guy that knows coaching," Francis said. Cheap 76ers Jerseys China . Dan Boyle and Patrick Marleau also scored, and Alex Stalock made 32 saves for the Sharks, who had lost four of six to fall short in their race for first place in the Pacific Division. Patrick Bordeleau scored the lone goal for the Avalanche, who lost for the first time in regulation since March 21 against Boston. Colorado had gone 8-0-1 in its last nine games to move into a tie for first with St. Louis. The Avalanche can win the division either by beating Anaheim on Sunday night in the regular-season finale or with a regulation loss by St. Louis earlier Sunday against Detroit. Colorado needs the Ducks to lose Saturday in Los Angeles to have a chance of finishing in the top spot in the Western Conference. San Jose is locked into the second seed in the Pacific Division and will open the playoffs at home next week against Los Angeles. The Sharks moved two points ahead of Chicago in the race for home-ice advantage in a possible conference final matchup. Despite the significant stakes in the game for Colorado, coach Patrick Roy opted to give third-string goalie Reto Berra his second start since joining the team last month. The move backfired quickly as Berra allowed two goals on the first five shots he faced and was replaced by Jean-Sebastien Giguere. Boyle opened the scoring with a well-placed shot from the faceoff circle just over 3 minutes into the game. Marleau ended Berras night 10:11 into the game with a slap shot from the slot for his 33rd goal. Cheap Soccer Jerseys Authentic. . The Avalanche got on the board late in the second when Bracken Kearns failed to clear the puck from the defensive zone, leading to a 2-on-1 down low. Maxime Talbot slid a pass to Bordeleau, who shot a one-timer into the empty net. Colorado nearly tied it after killing a high-sticking penalty to P.A. Parenteau. But Stalock stopped Parenteau on a breakaway just after he left the penalty box. Havlat sealed the game with three goals in the third for his sixth career hat trick and first since Nov. 2, 2005, for Ottawa at Buffalo. Havlat scored on a deflection, a breakaway and then added an empty-net goal with 4:56 to play. The big performance came when he was reunited on a line with Marleau and Logan Couture and one game after he was a healthy scratch in a crucial loss at Anaheim that ended the Sharks chances at a division title. The game was also notable for the Sharks because rookie Tomas Hertl returned to the ice for the first time since a knee injury in December. Hertl got a loud ovation his first time on the ice, and he generated a few good scoring chances. Both teams also lost defencemen to injuries during the game with San Joses Scott Hannan not returning after being hit high by Bordeleau in the first period. Colorados Tyson Barrie was also hit high in the first by Jason Demers. Barrie stayed in the game for the rest of the period but didnt play after that because of an upper-body injury. NOTES: Parenteau (knee) returned to the lineup after missing 15 games. ... Sharks D Marc-Edouard Vlasic sat out to rest for the playoffs. COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Evgeni Malkin and the Pittsburgh Penguins finally flexed their offensive muscles. Miami Marlins Edinson Volquez Jersey . And they needed every bit of scoring they could muster. Malkin had a hat trick and the Penguins almost blew a four-goal lead before holding off the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 on Monday night to clinch their first-round playoff series in six games. "Its more important that we win the game and (end) the series," Malkin said of the 10th time hes scored three times in a game in his career. "Going into the second round now, you feel so much better when you have confidence. I hope in the next round I can score more." Pittsburgh awaits the winner of the New York-Philadelphia series, with the Rangers leading 3-2 going into Tuesday nights Game 6. Its a good thing for the Penguins that Malkin -- scoreless in his past nine playoff games including the first five in the series -- finally found the net. The Blue Jackets, closer to making tee times than thinking about a Game 7, scored three times in a 4:52 span in the third period to turn up the pressure on the Penguins, an overwhelming favourite before the series got under way. "Were a proud group in here," forward Brandon Dubinsky said. "We didnt want to get embarrassed on home ice. If it was going to be our last game of the season, we didnt want to have any quit. We didnt have any quit in this locker room all season. We just kept pushing and pushing." Brandon Sutter also scored before leaving with an injury and Matt Niskanen had two assists as the Penguins became the first team in the series to score first and win -- but barely. Marc-Andre Fleury made 24 saves and made a couple of big stops after the game turned into a squeaker. "It was a good test," he said of the wild last few minutes. Coach Dan Bylsma said the toe-to-toe matchup heralded a new level of contentious play between the teams. "Weve got a rivalry going here with the Jackets," he said. "They gave us everything we could handle and it was a nice series for them. That was an extremely tough first-round opponent." Fedor Tyutin, Artem Anisimov and Nick Foligno scored for Columbus, Folignos redirect of a Tyutin shot cut the gap to a goal with 4:47 left. A crowd of 19,189 stood and roared the rest of the way as the Blue Jackets piled up scoring chances. The Penguins were hard pressed to fight off the aggressive Blue Jackets after goalie Sergei Bobrovsky, who also had 24 saves, was pulled for an extra attacker with under 2 minutes left. Matt Calvert was wide with a potential tying shot with 3:30 left. Dubinskys shot with 35 seconds left was deflected by Fleury. Columbus had overcome a 3-0 deficit at home in Game 4, scoring on a Fleury gaffe in the final seconds of regulation before Foligno won it in the overtime. "After we got the third goal, anything could happen," coach Todd Richards said. "We had done it the last time we played in the building. My thought was it was going to happen." Up until the last few minutes, it was Malkins game. He hadnt scored in the first 332:52 of the series, then scored three times in a span of 26:11. "I could see it coming in the morning skate," teammate James Neal said. "His shot was going into the back of the net." The Blue Jackets, one of the NHLs youngest teams, looked hopeless until Tyutins shot from the right dot ended Fleurys shutout streak at 97:26 -- since the Blue Jackets took a 1-0 lead in the first period of Game 5. But then Anisimov scored from the left point with 6:06 remaining to make it 4-2 and Foligno redirected a Tyutin shot to cut the lead to 4-3. "That was a big win," said Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby, who went goal-less in the series. "Obviously we didnt want to make it as close as we did. But we found a way to win." Notes: The Penguins improved to 8-4 in Game 6s when up 3-2 in the playoffs. ... Columbus was without veteran forward (and Pittsburgh native) R.J. Umberger (shoulder). ... For the second game in a row, the Penguins didnt have D Brooks Orpik, sidelined with an undisclosed injury. ... Sutter was limping as he went to the dressing room in the second period. He did not return. Joe Vitale went knee-to-knee with a Blue Jacket early in the third and was in pain as he left the ice. According to bodog.ca, Cleveland moved up to grab the best odds to win the Larry OBrian trophy at 4-1 on Friday. By comparison, the Miami Heats odds plummeted from 3-1 favourites before LeBron left, to 50-1. MONTREAL -- A day before heading to Florida to continue training camp, the Montreal Impact picked up a new captain and a new striker. Veteran midfielder Patrice Bernier will be a popular choice to replace the departed Davy Arnaud as captain, not only because he is a local player and fluently bilingual. "Hes always very positive in his attitude around the team," sporting director Nick De Santis said Thursday. "And even in difficult times, you never see the pressure get to him. These are important things." And Santiago Gonzalez, a 21-year-old forward from the Sud America club in Uruguay, who was signed under Major League Soccers special discovery rule, could be a nice addition to a club that is thin up front. The Impact ended their first phase of camp indoors at Marie Victorin College and now move onto grass fields and warm weather in Orlando, Fla., to defend their title in the Disney Pro Soccer Classic, a pre-season tournament. Bernier, of Brossard, Que., was hoping to get the captains armband after Arnaud, their skipper for their first two MLS seasons who left for D.C. United. New coach Frank Klopas picked veterans Marco Di Vaio, Matteo Ferrari and Troy Perkins as Berniers assistants. The 34-year-old Bernier began his pro career with the Impact, then played nine seasons in Europe before returning for the clubs MLS expansion season in 2012. "Its another step in my career and a new challenge in terms of my personality and what I have to do, not just on the field, but how to interact with my teammates," said Bernier "I started off here and hopefully I end here. Now, to have the armband, its a great show of respect." Luring Bernier back from Europe was one of the Impacts most important moves while moving from the second tier NASL to MLS. It gave them a high quality midfielder who understood North American soccer but who could also relate to the many European, especially Italian, players the club brought in. Bernier has 13 goals and 16 assists in 58 games over the last two seasons. He was named the Impacts player of the year in 2012 and played in the MLS all-star game last season. Arnaud arrived with the experience and credentials to make him the logical pick as the teaams first MLS captain, and Bernier was the obvious pick to succeed him. Jose Fernandez Marlins Jersey. Even while Arnaud wore the armband, Bernier was the teams most visible player in the media and out in the community. "Maybe now Ill be looked upon as the reflection of the team in what I say and what I do," he said. "Ill be the same guy as before, but maybe you have to stand out. "Its something special. In soccer, the captain is the first one to step onto the field, the first one that people see, that the referees go to for explanations or rectifications or whatever. So I cant just think of my own bubble anymore." Star striker Di Vaio had a little fun when asked about Bernier as captain. "I dont agree. I wanted to be captain," he said, before smiling and adding "No. Its good for us and its good for Patrice. Its the best thing for the team. We know that Patrice is going to be a good captain for us, for the club and for the fans." Bernier has been unable to join his teammates on the field since the first day of camp as he heals from surgery on Dec. 11 to fix loose cartilage in his right knee. He expects to resume full training in Florida. Also on the pitch in Orlando will be Gonzalez, who was in Montreal and was to make the flight with a team after undergoing a medical exam. De Santis said that as a special discovery player, the club can amortize the five-foot-eight forwards costs over several years, so that his salary cap hit stays between $125,000 and $150,000. He is also not a designated player, which leaves one DP spot open for a future signing. Di Vaio and Argentine midfielder Hernan Bernardello are the teams DPs. "Hes going to bring a new dynamic to the team," said De Santis. "Theres a question of adaptation because its the first time he leaves his country to play professional soccer, so we need to be patient with him. But hes got a lot for good qualities." De Santis also denied reports from Italy that Pablo Piatti of Valencia and Stefano Mauri of Lazio would be joining the Impact, saying hes had no contact with either club. He said he may still sign another player "if we can add an important piece to get you to the next level." The Columbus Blue Jackets will take another shot at the earning the first playoff win in team history on Saturday when they visit the Pittsburgh Penguins at CONSOL Energy Center for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals. Jonathan Isaac Womens Jersey . The Blue Jackets are in the postseason for just the second time in 13 seasons since entering the league as an expansion club in 2000-01. Columbus also qualified for the 2009 playoffs, but was swept by Detroit in four games during the opening round. Columbus actually held a 3-1 lead over Pittsburgh in Game 1 of this best-of- seven series on Wednesday, but the Penguins scored the games final three goals to claim a 4-3 decision and drop the Blue Jackets to 0-5 all-time in postseason contests. Brandon Sutter scored the game-winner for Pittsburgh 8:18 into the third period after his team struggled in the early going. The Blue Jackets built a 3-1 advantage under a minute into the second period, but Pittsburgh, which finished tied for the NHLs top power-play unit in the regular season, netted a pair of power-play goals 45 seconds apart to tie the game less than 2 1/2 minutes into the middle stanza. The Penguins finished 2-for-3 on the power play, while Columbus converted just one of four opportunities with the man advantage. Sutter supplied the winner with a wrister from the right circle, while Marc- Andre Fleury made nine of his 31 saves over the final 20 minutes to help the Pens draw first blood in the series. "The more shots came, the more comfortable I felt," said Fleury, who was making his first postseason start since being pulled in the opening round of Pittsburghs run to the Eastern Conference Finals last spring. "It just feels great to win that one." Beau Bennett and Matt Niskanen each notched a goal and an assist, while Jussi Jokinen also lit the lamp for the Metropolitan Division champion Penguins, who went 5-0-0 against Columbus during the regular season. Evgeni Malkin, who sat out Pittsburghs final 11 games with a sprained foot, added a pair of assists, while captain Sidney Crosby picked up a helper in the triumph. Jack Johnson collected a goal and an assist for Columbus, while Derek MacKenzie and Mark Letestu tallied a goal apiece. Sergei Bobrovsky, last seasons Vezina Trophy winner, stopped 28 shots in the setback. "Theres going to be ups and downs throughout a playoff series and theyve only won one game, theyve gotta win four," Johnson said of his team coming back for Game 2 after blowing a two-goal lead. "Its a war of attrition and you cant get down about this." Columbus played Game 1 without forwards Nick Foligno, Nathan Horton and R.J. Umberger, but at least one of those guys will be in the lineup on Saturday as Umberger expects to play for the first time since suffering an upper-body injury on April 6. Foligno will miss Game 2. The team is hopeful that he will be ready for Game 3. A native of the Pittsburgh area, Umberger is eager to skate in another postseason tilt in the Steel City. The 31-year-old did face the Penguins in the 2008 playoffs at the Igloo while still a member of the Philadelphia Flyers. "I grew up going to these playoff games, this was my childhood and earlier in my career I got a chance to play in Mellon Arena," Umberger said. "The atmosphere was great (in Game 1) and Im anxious and really excited to get in there." Foligno originally had been ruled out for Game 2, but he was able to practice on Thursday and is now considered questionable for Saturdays tilt. Horton, meanwhile, will be sidelined until at least the middle of May following abdominal surgery. The series will shift to Columbus following tonights battle. Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Nationwide Arena and the Blue Jackets also will host Game 4 on Wednesday. Jonathan Isaac Youth Jersey . 3 seed Phillip Kohlschreiber from Germany. Tim Jackman, Pat Maroon, Kyle Palmieri, Ryan Kesler and Ryan Getzlaf all lit the lamp and Frederik Andersen made 30 saves for the Ducks, who have won five straight games. Tonight was a night we really wanted, said Lovejoy. We wanted to have a happy four days (off). Sean Monahan scored for the fourth game in a row, while Joe Colborne and Mikael Backlund also lit the lamp for the Flames, who had their four-game winning streak come to an end. Jonas Hiller stopped 13-of-14 shots in relief of Joni Ortio, who allowed four goals on 11 shots. Anaheim extended its home winning streak to 20 games against Calgary. The Flames were last victorious at Honda Center on Jan. 19, 2004. The Ducks seized control early with a three-goal first period. Matt Beleskey emerged from behind the net and slipped a pass through the crease to Palmieri, who wristed the shot past Ortio 4:41 into the game. Maroon deflected Lovejoys shot into the net with 5:01 to play in the first period and Lovejoys wrister from the top of the right circle off a faceoff win made it a 3-0 game just over two minutes later. Jackman gave the Ducks a 4-0 advantage midway through the second with a wrist shot over the glove of Ortio, chasing the Calgary netminder from the game. Jonathan Isaac Black Jersey. The Flames, however, cut the deficit to two heading into the final stanza. Backlund deposited a loose puck into the net at 11;13 and Monahan finished off a smooth tic-tac-toe passing play with a quick shot from the slot with 48 seconds left in the second. Less than eight minutes into the third, Palmieri had a power-play goal waved off after it was ruled that he pushed Hillers pad into the net. Getzlaf made it a 5-2 game after he took Corey Perrys backhanded pass and beat Hillers glove with a snap shot with 10:16 remaining. Colborne responded just 58 seconds later after he batted a loose puck past Andersen to make it a two-goal game once again. Kesler scored on an empty net with 19 seconds left to account for the final score. Game Notes The Ducks are now 23-0-6 this season when leading after the first period ... Anaheim improved to 11-2-0 over their last 13 games at Honda Center ... The Flames entered the contest with five straight road wins ... Nate Thompson and Perry each had two assists for the Ducks ... The two teams will meet again on Feb. 20 in Calgary. Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Even without Phil and Tiger, it appears this Masters will still have a whale of a finish. Cheap Marlins Jerseys Authentic . With the two marquee players presumably sitting on the couch somewhere, beer and chips on the coffee table and the remote in hand, a gaggle of golfers is set to provide the theatre on golfs greatest stage. Bubba Watson had the opportunity to run and hide on Saturday but his 74 caused a multi-player pile-up on the leaderboard. There are now 17 players within six shots of the lead. Only four of those have a major to their credit and three are making their first appearance at the Masters. It likely means that there will be some excitement as they try to untangle themselves coming down the stretch. No one seems to mind having the opportunity to be a part of that. “Its one of those things that you have dreamed about your whole life,” said Watson. “If you want to be a professional golfer youve dreamed about it, youve thought about it.” Despite his over-par score Watson still felt in control of his game; he wasnt losing the ball left or right, just short or long, a relatively good sign around what was a hard and fast golf course. Watson is tied with youngster Jordan Spieth, who has looked calm and confident beyond his 20 years in getting to five under. Despite being born a year after Fred Couples won his Green Jacket, Spieth has had enough time to soak in what the Masters is all about and the opportunity that Sunday presents. “I dont think Ive ever had a round where Ive been nervous on every single swing, shot, and putt,” said Spieth who would be the youngest Masters winner in history. “Im sure that will happen tomorrow, but hopefully I can channel it positively and stay grounded, stay cool, and see what happens.” Below the leaders is an interesting collection of possible winners. There is Matt Kuchar, the aw-shucks guy who has already compiled six top-10 finishes this year including a playoff loss last weekend where he coughed up what appeared to be a sure win, and Jonas Blixt, the Swede trying to become the first European to win since 1999. And Miguel Angel Jimenez, who would not only become the oldest Masters and major champion but also the first player with a bun to wear the Green Jacket. Rickie Fowler put himself in contention with a strong 67 on Saturday and gave no doubt as to his wardrobe for Sunday. “Oh, yeah, orange and green look great together,” he stated. “I think green would look great with anything, to be honest.” The list of possible champions is so deep its likely there is a full closet full of potential green jackets at the ready. Before that, however, there is sure to be some drama and excitement to be revealed over Augusta National. In past years, the pin-setters have been friendly, allowing for birdies down the stretch; but with the hard, slick course, danger is always only a few centimeters away. Get settled in, hang on and enjoy. Cheap Marlins Jerseys . Mladenovics quick hands at the net made the difference while Bencics inexperience in doubles showed. "We took a lot of pleasure," Mladenovic told Sport Plus television. "Its extremely difficult to play in such conditions, but our doubles team showed a lot of quality.OAKLAND, Calif. -- Having discovered his power stroke at the Oakland Coliseum, Athletics catcher John Jaso was more impressed by the ball he hit that didnt leave the park than he was by his second home run in as many days. That might be because it came in the 10th inning and gave Oakland its third walk-off win of the season. Jaso doubled in pinch-runner Nick Punto with two outs in the 10th inning to lift the As to a 4-3 win over the Washington Nationals on Saturday night. Jaso, who had not hit a home run in Oakland until his solo shot in Fridays 8-0 win, also homered in the third before delivering the fourth game-ending hit of his career. "Its funny because I thought that last ball I hit I hit harder than the other two and it hung up for some reason," Jaso said. "I dont know if the wind shifted, but I thought I hit it harder than the other two." After being limited to two hits over the first eight innings, the As scored twice in the ninth off Nationals closer Rafael Soriano to force extras and storm back for their third walk-off win this season. Alberto Callaspo singled off reliever Drew Storen (2-1) to lead off the 10th before Punto replaced him at first. Storen retired Eric Sogard and Derek Norris before Jaso hit a towering fly ball that ricocheted off the scoreboard in right field as Punto rounded the bases and scored. "Sometimes certain guys come up key in games when you dont get many hits," Oakland manager Bob Melvin said. "(Jaso) did most of the damage. When you get down to those situations, it just becomes a grind." The Nationals were three outs from winning and had their rock-solid closer on the mound before Oakland greeted Soriano with three consecutive hits to open the ninth. Jaso singled and scored on Jed Lowries double. Josh Donaldson followed with a line drive single to drive in Jaso with the tying run. "Going into the ninth with a two-run lead and a guy that hasnt given up a run in 25 innings and it doesnt happen for you, its disappointing," Washington manager Matt Williams said. "Thats baseball." It was Sorianos first blown save since Aug. 17, 2013, and ended his career-high streak of 25 consecutive scoreless innings. Cheap Miami Marlins Jerseys. . That spoiled a stellar outing by Washington starter Tanner Roark. Coming off the worst start of his season, Roark was masterful while shutting down the As offence. He allowed two hits over 7 2-3 innings, struck out five and didnt walk a batter. He gave up Jasos two-out home run in the third before retiring the next 13. The Nationals backed him with just enough offence until the bullpen broke down. Danny Espinosa hit a towering home run off Oakland starter Sonny Gray with one out in the third to give the Nats an early lead. Zach Walters and Denard Span followed with singles before Kevin Frandsen lined a two-run double to the gap in left-centre to make it 3-0. Jasos two-out home run off Roark in the bottom of the third trimmed Washingtons lead to 3-1. "Its strange how a pitcher can get on a roll like (Roark) did and everything we put in play was caught," Jaso said. "Those kind of days, thats when you want to get into the bullpen and change the momentum." Roark left with two outs in the eighth after a throwing error by Espinosa allowed Reddick to take third. Roark fielded Eric Sogards grounder cleanly, but his throw to first hit Reddick in the back of the helmet and ricocheted near the Nationals dugout. Tyler Clippard replaced Roark and retired pinch-hitter Derek Norris before the As rallied for the tying runs off Soriano. Sean Doolittle (1-2) pitched one inning for the win to help Oakland overcome an uneven outing by Gray. Gray, the AL pitcher of the month in April, struck out three and walked two. He allowed six hits over seven innings and gave up all of Washingtons runs in the third NOTES: Nationals first baseman Adam LaRoche (quad strain) is headed for the disabled list after aggravating the injury on Friday. ... Injured slugger Ryan Zimmerman (right thumb fracture) has not yet resumed hitting and is scheduled to have another X-ray on Sunday. ... Oakland LHP Scott Kazmir (4-1) pitches the series finale after taking the loss in his previous outing. ... Former As starter Gio Gonzalez (3-2) goes for Washington. Got a question on rule clarification, comments on rule enforcements or some memorable NHL stories? Kerry wants to answer your emails at cmonref@tsn. Dave Concepcion Jersey .ca. Im sure you have thousands of emails on this already. How can that third Kings goal in Game 2 be allowed? The Kings player went in to the blue paint on his own accord, made contact with the Rangers defender and then laid on Lundqvists leg as the shot went in. If it is not a two-minute goalie interference call, it is at least a disallowed goal because of "incidental" contact with the goalie. I really dont see how they could rule any other way. Thank You,Bruce ChangoDillsburg, PA ----- Hi Kerry, Dwight Kings goal with plenty of time left in the third period last night was a huge momentum swing, eventually resulting in the Kings overtime win. However, the Rangers were unhappy about what they thought was goaltender interference on Henrik Lundqvist. Do the Rangers have any argument here? Anthony Z.Sault Ste. Marie, ON ----- Kerry, Im sure youve been asked to comment on the Kings third goal in Saturdays game and the goaltender interference controversy. But Ill ask again. What did you see and how would you have called it? J. RockwellEaston, PA Bruce, Anthony and ‘J-Rock: A violation of Rule 69 (goalkeeper interference) was committed by Dwight King when he initiated contact with Rangers goalkeeper Henrik Lundqvist inside the goal crease. As a result of this deliberate action by King, the goal should have been disallowed and a minor penalty assessed to King for goalkeeper interference. Some fans will maintain that King was pushed into Lundqvist through the actions of Rangers defenceman Ryan McDonough, which would have resulted in the scoring of a legal goal. From the quick look and decision rendered by referee Dan OHalloran, I have to believe that he also felt McDonough was guilty to some degree of pushing King into the crease. Allow me to explain why this was not the case and why I am confident that, if the referee was afforded the luxury of video review, he would have also concluded that Lundqvist was the victim of goalkeeper interference and the goal subsequently would have been disallowed. What I want to disprove is the premise that King was pushed into Lundqvist and that he did not make any reasonable effort to avoid the Ranger goalkeeper as per 69.1: “If an attacking player has been pushed, shoved, or fouled by a defending player so as to cause him to come into contact with the goalkeeper, such contact will not be deemed contact initiated by the attacking player for purposes of this rule, provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact.” We pick up the action outside the goal crease to the right of Henrik Lundqvist when Dwight King (approaching on an angle outside the crease and from behind goal line) and Ryan McDonough (front of net) engaged one another in frontal combat with their sticks in a prone cross-check position toward one another. With McDonoughs posture and position, he was set to move his opponent away from the crease and not into it. King was also moving in a direction towards the slot and not facing into the blue paint. Note also that Kings stick blade appears to be in tight on Lundqvist. In this pose, both players are willing combatants engaging in a battle for position outside of the crease. Following their initial contact, King played off McDonough to the inside and then slipped laterally into the blue paint and toward Lundqvist. King then made a movement independent (separation) of McDonough with a backward press deeper into the crease and a resulting lateral ‘skate hop that initiated solid contact with the Rangers goalie. The resulting tumble caused King to land on the right pad of Lundqvist inside the crease. This action took place as Lundqvist was attempting to remain square and set for a shot from the point that King was ultimately given credit for deflecting past the Ranger goalkeeper. Once again from 69.1: “The overriding rationale of this rule is that a goalkeeper should have the ability to move freely within his goal crease without being hindered by the actions of an attacking player. If an attacking player enters the goal crease and, by his actions, impairs the goalkeepers ability to defend his goal, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed.” So why was this play, as I described it, missed by the referee you might ask? First of all, contact such as this can happen very quickly in real-time and, especially, while other action is taking place. Different angles can also be deceiving. In this situation, Justin Williams carried the puck behind the Rangers goal and deep into the corner directly toward referee OHalloran. The referee was forced to pivot out from the corner and then back to allow Williams space to carry the puck wide and up the wall. Based on the referees body posture, he visually followed Williams carry the puck up the wall and then deliver a cross-ice outlet pass to Matt Greene at the right point position. While this action was taking place, the contact between King and McDonough had been initiated. This, along with Kings independent move into the blue paint, would have been undetected by the referee. With a pending shot from the point and a refocus by the referee toward the front of the net, it would likely have appeared from the refs vantage that McDonough deposited King in the goal crease as a result of the fall. It would have been a “bang-bang” play in the eye and mind of the referee under these circumstances. Lundqvist claimed that the referee told him the puck had already entered the net prior to any contact by King. Plays of this nature and magnitude must be reviewable as I have contended for at least the past couple of seasons! Review will be a crucial safety-check for the referees to correctly determine and enforce goalkeeper interference. The Competition Committee apparently met today. The eventual outcome of some games might just rest in their hands pending final approval of the rules committee. Brandon Phillips Reds Jersey . Louis Blues have returned to the top spot in the TSN. The NFL announced Friday that the Texans sixth-year veteran offensive lineman will replace Philadelphia Eagles tackle Jason Peters in the Jan.PHILADELPHIA -- Keeping key parts of their offence together for a long time is clearly a priority for the Philadelphia Eagles. The NFC East champions agreed to a five-year contract with wide receiver Riley Cooper and a seven-year deal with centre Jason Kelce on Thursday. They gave All-Pro left tackle Jason Peters a new five-year deal a day earlier. "Its a great reflection of ownership, a credit to Jeffrey Lurie for the flexibility to do what we need to be successful," general manager Howie Roseman said. Cooper wouldve become a free agent next month after a breakout season in which he set career highs in receptions (47), yards receiving (835) and touchdowns (eight). His deal is worth $25 million over five years with about $10 million guaranteed, according to a person familiar with the contract who spoke on condition of anonymity because terms werent announced. "Riley is one of the toughest and hardest-working guys in our locker room," coach Chip Kelly said. "We talk a lot about how players have to make the most of their opportunities, and he did just that last year. He used his size, strength and speed to make a lot of big plays for our team and Im excited to watch him build upon his success." Cooper has come a long way since leaving the Eagles for three days during training camp after using a racial slur. "I didnt test free agency because I wanted to be here," he said. "I wanted to be in Philly from the get-go." Kelce was signed through 2016, and the new deeal adds four years to his contract. Jay Bruce Jersey. Overall, its worth $37.5 million with $13 million guaranteed, according to the person familiar with the deals. "The numbers just sounded right," Kelce said. Kelce was part of an offensive line that helped the Eagles lead the NFL in rushing while setting a franchise record for points (442). "Jason is the epitome of the type of player we want around here, both on and off the field," Kelly said. "Hes tough, extremely intelligent and is a leader by his actions and by his words. His athleticism is something that really sticks out when you watch him play. There arent many centres that can get down the field like he does." Roseman said the signings wont affect the teams draft plans. The Eagles shifted their focus from drafting for needs to drafting the best players available on the board a couple years ago. The results have been successful picks. "A lot has changed since 2011, starting with team philosophy," Roseman said. "Im proud of the process weve developed to set ourselves up to contend." The Eagles were 10-6 and won the NFC East title in Kellys first season as coach after going 4-12 in 2012. Cooper blossomed in his first season as a starter after Jeremy Maclin went down for the season with a knee injury in camp. Maclin, a former first-round pick, is scheduled to be a free agent, but the Eagles are hoping to bring him back. "He fits into our chemistry and what were trying to do," Roseman said. The Professional Referee Organization, which manages game officials for the U.S. Soccer Federation and MLS, notified the Professional Soccer Referee Association of the lockout and said replacement officials will be used.ANAHEIM, Calif. -- After two emotional road wins last week, Corey Perry and the Anaheim Ducks made sure the near-inevitable letdown at home didnt last longer than two periods. The New York Islanders letdown is in its third miserable week and counting. Perry scored two goals and captain Ryan Getzlaf extended his point streak to 12 games in the Ducks 5-2 victory over the spiraling Islanders on Monday night. Cam Fowler had his first career short-handed goal and two assists as the Ducks overcame two early deficits to improve to 11-0-2 at Honda Center. They are the only NHL team without a regulation loss at home. The Ducks returned home on a high after consecutive victories in St. Louis and Chicago, cementing their status as a contender with four straight strong performances against the Western Conferences best. After just one day off, the Ducks started sluggishly against the Islanders before Fowler and Perry put them ahead with spectacular goals in the final 33 seconds of the second period. "Were only human, and we knew last week was a big emotional week for us," said Perry, who scored a goal in his sixth straight game. "Those were big games for us, but we had to get ourselves up for this one, as well." Fowler converted on a 3-on-1, short-handed rush before Perry scored his 19th goal of the season in jaw-dropping fashion -- from his knees with 1.7 seconds left after getting tripped in the slot. "I knew what I wanted to do," said a grinning Perry, who added a power-play goal in the third to clinch the sixth 20-goal season of his career. Andrew Cogliano also scored, Daniel Winnik had three assists, and Jonas Hiller made 35 saves as Anaheim pulled even with Chicago atop the overall NHL standings with 47 points. While Perry matched the NHLs longest goal-scoring streak of the season, Getzlaf extended the leagues longest active point streak -- but only after the Ducks leaders blistered their teammates ears after a lacklustre first period. "We werent ready for them," Anaheim coach Bruce Boudreau said. "But it seemed like every time they were outplaying us, wee got a goal. Cheap Swingman Pacers Jerseys. We hung around just long enough to get our legs, and once we got to 4-2 on the same shift, I think it took the heart out of them a little bit." Saku Koivu added his first goal in nearly two months in the Ducks third consecutive win and the Islanders 10th straight loss. John Tavares and Thomas Vanek scored for the Islanders, who also have lost 10 consecutive road games since Nov. 1. Anders Nilsson stopped 26 shots for New York, but the Ducks overcame two early deficits in the Isles third straight loss to open a five-game Western road trip. Defenceman Thomas Hickey figured New York was undone by its lapses in the final minute of the second period. "It stings. It really stings," Hickey said. "Being in a tie game, or even being down one going into the third, would have been ideal." At 0-8-2 since Nov. 16, New York is on its longest skid since dropping a club-record 14 straight in 2010. The Islanders also have been outscored 43-16 on their longest road losing streak since the 1998-99 season. "We generate a lot, but we cant score," Islanders coach Jack Capuano said. "I dont know what to tell you. We get chances that other teams score on when they get them. Right now, the Johnny Tavares line is the only line thats finding the back of the net, and then everything gets magnified." Tavares put the Islanders ahead with his 12th goal early, but Koivu evened it several minutes later. The Finnish centre hadnt scored since Oct. 10, missing 15 games during that stretch with an apparent concussion. Vanek scored off a faceoff early in the second period, but Cogliano tied it again with an easy goal off an exceptional assist by Winnik, who threaded a no-look backward pass through three Islanders. NOTES: Anaheim D Mark Fistric left late in the game with an upper-body injury. ... The Islanders put C Pierre-Marc Bouchard on waivers before the game. He had nine points and a minus-9 rating in 28 games. ... Anaheim scratched RW Kyle Palmieri. The gifted forward is in a 15-game goal drought, managing just two assists in that stretch. CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Cornerback Leon Hall jogged toward the right side of the defence and took his customary place, matched again

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Cornerback Leon Hall jogged toward the right side of the defence and took his customary place, matched against receiver Mohamed Sanu. Adidas Jack Eichel Jersey . The play was a handoff, so Hall didnt have to do much. Thats not what mattered. Hall lined up for the first 11-on-11 play in the Bengals first practice of training camp on Thursday, an encouraging sign for one of the NFLs top defences. "It means a lot," Hall said. The 29-year-old cornerback tore his right Achilles tendon midway through last season, the second time hes sustained such an injury. He tore his left Achilles in 2011, but was back as the starter the following year and played very well. Hes made another quick and full recovery. "There was never really a doubt in my mind," Hall said. "It was just trying to be patient enough to go through that long process again." Even though hes fine physically, Hall hasnt been able to be on the field during off-season workouts, so hes still got a lot of work to do on his form. At one point during the afternoon practice, he went to the sideline and worked on his side-to-side movement. "I felt good," he said after practice. "No pain. I felt strong. My footwork wasnt very good, but thats going to come in a few days." Defensive tackle Geno Atkins is coming back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and wanted to participate in the first practice, but was held out on Thursday as a precaution. Coach Marvin Lewis wants to give him a few days to ease in before hes cleared to fully practice. Hall is a mainstay on a defence that has ranked among the leagues top 10 for each of the past three years, finishing third overall in yards allowed last season. The Bengals never doubted that hed be ready despite his second significant injury in three seasons. "Leon, he works hard at everything he does," defensive co-ordinator Paul Guenther said. "If you can have a poster child for a coachs guy, thats him. Hell do whatever he has to do. He spent the whole off-season getting that thing back to go. Im excited to see him back on the field." After Halls Achilles surgery in 2011, there were doubts about whether he would still be quick enough to cover the other teams top receiver. When he got back on the field, he was just as good, if not better. "His speed became better last time, which is really something," Lewis said. "I thought he played faster in 2012 than he did before. I think thats what excites him about this: Maybe anatomically Ive got something that made me better." Hall doesnt know if he was that much faster after the first Achilles surgery, but all of the rehabilitation work has him in good shape for the start of camp. "I feel like I felt years ago, before I did the first one," Hall said. "Ive heard numerous times that your Achilles is technically stronger after you have the surgery. I wouldnt suggest going and tearing your Achilles, but thats just what I heard from the doctors and people in general. Thats good news. "I feel better. Lets just hope it translates to the field." Notes: The Bengals claimed first-year WR Conner Vernon off waivers from Cleveland and signed free agent WR Jeremy Johnson, a rookie from Southern Methodist. They waived punter T.J. Conley. ... OL Andrew Whitworth was held out of practice with a sore calf. ... At the start of practice, a couple of fans hung two banners from a public bridge that overlooks the practice fields. The first banner urged the Bengals not to sign quarterback Andy Dalton to a contract extension. The other said: "AJ to AJ, the future is now." The Bengals signed quarterback AJ McCarron in the fifth round. McCarron didnt throw to A.J. Green on Thursday -- hes resting a sore passing shoulder. Cheap Adidas Sabres Jerseys . Mike Breys Irish had an 11-game win streak halted last weekend, as they dropped a 62-56 decision to now second-ranked Virginia at Purcell Pavilion. The loss dropped Notre Dame to a still impressive 15-2 on the season, including a 3-1 mark in the ACC. Brian Gregorys Yellow Jackets have had an up and down season thus far. The team is 9-6 overall, but is still in search of its first conference win of the year, falling to 0-3 with Saturdays 76-69 loss at Wake Forest. Georgia Tech has now lost three straight games and four of its last five overall. Techs streak began with an 83-76 2OT loss at Notre Dame on Jan. 3. The Irish are seeking the regular-season sweep in this contest and now trail the all- time series with the Yellow Jackets by a 7-4 count. The usually explosive Irish were done in by the stingy Virginia Cavaliers last weekend, as Notre Dame was held to season-lows of 56 points and .339 shooting efficiency. While most of the roster struggled against Virginia, Pat Connaughton had a strong outing, posting 21 points and eight rebounds. Demetrius Jackson and V.J. Beachem each chipped in 12 points, but leading scorer Jerian Grant had a rough outing, going just 2-of-8 from the field and finishing with a mere six points. Although the Cavaliers smothered the Irish, it wasnt an anomaly as Virginia has done that to everyone this season. Despite the rather poor performance, Notre Dame is still regarded as one of the top offensive squads in the nation. Cheap Adidas NHL Jerseys. The team leads the nation in field-goal percentage (..535), ranks fifth in scoring margin (+20.9) and second in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.66). Grant is a big part of that. The teams top playmaker, Grant is averaging 16.6 points, 3.9 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game. There is plenty of scoring depth behind him, as Zach Auguste (14.3 ppg), Connaughton (14.3 ppg) and Jackson (14.1 ppg) all have a knack for filling up the basket. Georgia Tech has certainly been competitive in conference play even if there are no wins to show for it. The Yellow Jackets took Notre Dame to two overtime sessions, lost to Syracuse by a single point (46-45) and dropped a seven-point decision on the road to Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons owned large advantages in rebounding (41-29) and free-throw scoring (19-, two crucial facets of the game last time out. Still, four Yellow Jackets notched double digits in the loss in Winston-Salem, led by junior swingman Marcus Georges-Hunts 16 points. Senior center Demarco Cox poured in 14 points, while sophomore forward Quinton Stephens and junior forward Charles Mitchell finished with 13 and 12 points, respectively. The Yellow Jackets are fueled by solid defensive play this season, holding foes to just 63.7 ppg, while owning an impressive +9.4 rebounding margin. Offensively, there arent any game-changers on the roster. Georges-Hunt paces the team with 13.3 ppg, despite shooting a mere .406 from the field. Mitchell is a much more efficient .544 shooter, and averages 11.1 points and team-best 7.8 rebounds per game. Cox (9.1 ppg, 6.1 rpg) provides serviceable depth in the frontcourt. NEW YORK, N. Cheap Jazz Jerseys China .Y. - Major League Soccer is prepared to start its season this weekend even if there isnt a labour deal with its referees and other on-field officials. The Professional Soccer Referee Association was certified by the National Labor Relations Board last May to represent referees, assistant referees and fourth officials working MLS games. It has not reached an agreement with the Professional Referee Organization, which was created by the U.S. Soccer Federation and MLS in 2012 to manage game officials in U.S. and Canadian professional leagues. The PSRA has filed a pair of unfair labour practice charges with the NLRBs New York office, accusing the PRO of bad-faith bargaining and making threats against PSRA members. PSRA members voted 64-1 last month to authorize an unfair labour practice strike. "We will be opening up this weekend with referees, and we are absolutely in a position to have a contingency plan in the event that those discussions dont end positively," MLS Commissioner Don Garber said Tuesday. "We have so many things that were gearing up for with our 2014 season. Nothing is going to stop us from having a strong opening and to continue to grow this league." PSRA chairman Steve Taylor said there are economic and non-economic issues. "They have not made significant movement," he said of the PRO. Answering questions from reporters and fans during a season kickoff session, Garber said increasing the leagues television ratings is a priority. Viewers for national television broadcasts during the regular season dropped from an average of 180,000 viewers in 2012 to 170,000 last year, according to Nielsen Media Research. MLS has been negotiating with ESPN and Fox to replace deals with ESPN and NBC that expire at the end of this season. Garber said while quality of play, attendance, soccer-specific stadiums have increased, "our national television ratings have not grown at the same level." "So we need to figure out why thats happening. Obviously, theres a lot more competition than there ever was. Viewers have more alternatives. We need not to fight that but accept it and address it," he said. "Our games have been scheduled all over the week. Its been difficult even if you work in the league office to know what time and what day a game is taking place. So our new agreements will be very, very, very focused in terms of a specific date and time." Garber said progress has slowed on obtaining a new stadium for New York City FC, which joins the league along with Orlando, Fla., in 2015 as MLS expands to 21 teams. "Its tough to get stadium projects done in New York City, perhaps even a little more difficult now than it was maybe six months or a year ago," he said. MLS said in July it plans to reach 24 teams by 2020, and a Miami team has been awarded to former Los Angeles Galaxy star David Beckham, with no year identified for it to start play. Garber briefly discussed the expansion possibilities of several cities: Atlanta: "Were getting close. There are ongoing discussions. Theres not a rush to finalize something there. ... That time is probably sooner as opposed to later." Austin, Texas, and San Antonio: "Its premature for both markets. ... Expanding in Texas is something thats likely going to happen. Where that happens, when that happens is still to be seen." Cleveland: "There havent been any discussions of late. What I would say to folks that are living in Cincinnati, the folks that are living in Dayton, folks that are living Cleveland, support the Crew," a reference to the Columbus team. Detroit: "There havent been any discussions. Not sure its on the short list, but you never know." Minneapolis: "On the short list. Lots of interest there." North Carolina: "It is a hotbed for soccer. ... Well monitor it. ... Im not sure Carolina is coming any time soon." He also mentioned Sacramento as an expansion possibility. There were moments where I thought we played really well, and I thought there were moments where we struggled.I think if were going to have success against (the U.S.) any time from here on out that we would need to play a stronger game than we did Wednesday. The United States can guarantee a rematch in the championship game of the four-team tournament with a regulation victory over Sweden (0-2) in its round-robin finale on Friday, while anything less would put the Canada versus Finland (1-1) result in play later that evening.Canada and the United States are both using the tournament to evaluate young players ahead of the 2018 Olympics, but they arent the only ones looking to leave a mark on their respective national programs.Derraugh, who was an assistant with Canada in 2012 and coaches the womens team at Cornell University in the NCAA, said the Four Nations is also a chance for him to show he belongs at this level beyond the spring of 2015.In coaching youre always looking to challenge yourself. You want to learn and I think this was a great opportunity for me to learn more, said the Arnprior, Ont., native. Im always trying to get better and this is certainly a good stage to put yourself on to force yourself to work harder and get better. When you get an opportunity to represent your country at this level its certainly an honour. Im humbled by it and certainly want to do the best job I can.The same goes for the Canadian players given leadership roles in Kamloops. Hayley Wickenheiser and Jayna Hefford are among the 10 veterans who were left at home, meaning that players like captain Haley Irwin and assistants Rebecca Johnston, Lauriane Rougeau and Natalie Spooner arre being given a chance to grab the torch. Cheap Utah Jazz Jerseys. Youve got some of the older players not on the squad at this time and its an opportunity for some of the players that havent been in a leadership role to step up and help us in that regard and help develop their leadership skills, said Derraugh. Whether theyre the next leadership group or not, it will help them in the future because theyll have had that and theyll know what its like to be in those roles.I think thats really helpful for a player if you are the captain, but its also really helpful if youre not the captain in the future so you know the pitfalls and you know what its like.At just 26, Irwin said it has been an adjustment being one of the senior players on the squad. Our rosters a lot different. Its weird to say Im a vet on this team, she said. Its definitely a new role for a few of us, but definitely one were embracing. The U.S. also has a lot of youngsters trying to cut their teeth, as well as a coach who is also getting his first experience at this level.Former NHL defenceman Ken Klee coached with the U.S. under-22 program before being asked to lead the senior team at the Four Nations. As it stands now, Klees commitment ends after Saturdays final, but he also sees the tournament as an audition.Thats the way the coaching gig is. Youre here for now and doing the best you can, said Klee, who played 934 games with seven NHL teams before retiring after 2008-09 season. Its that way for the young players and the same for me as a coach. Im enjoying it and trying to do the best job I can.Its a great opportunity. When youre a coach and you have a chance to work with elite-level athletes who want to get better everyday, thats a great situation.Derraughs team already knows it will be playing the final, but he still wants a 60-minute effort from Canada against the Finns, who lost 5-0 to the U.S. before topping Sweden 1-0.Were looking for strong execution of our game plan and see the habits that are going to make us successful not only at this tournament, but in the future, said Derraugh. Right now it hasnt been consistent. Until we get to that point where we are consistently doing the things we need to do its going to be tough.Notes: Canada has won the Four Nations Cup a total 13 times, while the U.S. took top spot in the other five. ... The Americans finished third as the hosts last year in Lake Placid, N.Y., behind Canada and Finland. ... The womens world hockey championship will be held from March 28 to April 4 in Malmo, Sweden. "I havent thought about the starting XI: this will not be a World Cup of 11 players. "We need 23 resources, 23 players who think they will be among the first 11, focused only on the squad. Everyone has to understand they might play only one game. But it might be the game." Prandelli praised Giuseppe Rossi for making the provisional list, despite only just having returned from a four-month injury layoff due to a right knee injury. "I called him up because four and a half months ago, before his injury, he was the top goalscorer in Serie A and remained so for a few weeks after getting injured,"Prandelli said. "Thats a sign that he was doing something extraordinary. "His inclusion is a message for everyone: if you want something and fight and really try for it, you deserve a chance. Rossi is also a champion in his behaviour, that doesnt mean he will definitely be among the 23." Antonio Cassano was also on the list, despite not having played for Italy since helping the Azzurri to a runner-up finish at the 2012 European Championship, and he could make his World Cup debut after a fantastic season for Parma. "When a player manages to redevelop in a positive way and get back in the running it is as if they have cancelled out all the negativity," Prandelli said. "The numbers are the numbers: beyond his pride and his motivation, in scoring and in assists, Cassano was a few yards ahead of the others." Italian media says Cassano is the alternative if Rossi is deemed not fit enough, with Mario Balotelli the only forward assured of his place in the squad. "Nobody is tied to anyone," the Italy coach said. "We will now have 10 days of physical work from which I also expect scientific answers, without having to rely only on feeling. Both could come: Im not ruling out anything." Prandelli also revealed he seriously considered including Francesco Totti, adding "I thought about him, before his injury he had extraordinary statistics. Then the younger players exploded and the future is theirs." Italys first World Cup match is against England on June 14. It also plays Costa Rica and Uruguay in Group D. The Azzurri are aiming for a record-equaling fifth World Cup triumph, two years after surprisingly reaching the final of the European Championship, where it was humiliated 4-0 by Spain. "I havent looked at who our potential opponents could be (in the knockout stages)," Prandelli said. "I know we have to pass the first round and then we have to organize in order to get to the final. I want to go to the final." Cheap Spurs Jerseys Authentic . The Toronto Argonauts signed the veteran linebacker to a three-year deal Tuesday, hours after the start of CFL free agency.
