FLORHAM PARK, N. ZaDarius Smith Super Bowl Jersey .J. -- Mike Goodson never doubted he would be back on the football field someday. Through all of the personal issues he dealt with for the last few months, the New York Jets running back knew hed someday resume his career. But first, he needed to take care of something more important: himself. "I took the time to get myself right," Goodson said Tuesday, "so I could come back and be the best football player I can be." Goodson returned to the team Monday after being away during training camp for personal reasons. In his first comments since his arrest in New Jersey on drugs and weapons charges in May, Goodson declined to go into details of the case or what he was doing while away from the team. "Personally? Yeah, it was kind of embarrassing," Goodson said. He was suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the season for violating the leagues substance abuse policy, and placed on the active non-football injury/illness list by the Jets. "Im pretty disappointed in myself," Goodson said. "I had some things that I had to do. Im back now and I was able to address those things and Im a lot better." When asked if he was seeking treatment for substance abuse during the time he was away from the team, Goodson preferred to keep that private. "Like I said, it was personal things (with) me and my family," he said. "I dont really want to get into those things here." Goodson was on the practice field Tuesday, mostly working with trainers, in his first appearance with the team since May. "I was able to get out and run around a little bit," he said, "get a workout in, get back into it." Despite the long absence, Goodson doesnt think hell be too far behind in picking up the offence because it is similar to that which Oakland ran while he was there last season. He spent his first three NFL seasons with Carolina after being a fourth-round pick out of Texas A&M, and will likely serve as a change-of-pace back for the Jets. He could also potentially fill the kick returner role once held by Joe McKnight, who was released Monday. "Spark," Goodson said when asked what he could provide the offence. "I think Im really explosive and given four weeks to prepare for something, I think Ill be pretty explosive and ready to play." The NFL said in a statement announcing the suspension that Goodson will be eligible to return to the Jets active roster on Sept. 30, a day after the teams game against the Tennessee Titans. The first game he would be eligible to play in would be against Atlanta on Oct. 7 -- a Monday night. He will be permitted to attend meetings and work out on his own at the teams practice facility during his suspension, but wont be able to practice or play. "Im really happy to get Mike back, theres no question about it," coach Rex Ryan said. "Hell get up to speed. When he left, he had a pretty good grasp of what we were doing. Obviously, the conditioning part, hell have to get into football shape without being able to practice, so that will be a challenge." Ryan wouldnt say that he was disappointed in the running back. "Everybody in here has made mistakes," he said. "I know Ive made plenty, and its well-documented. So, for me to pass judgment on somebody, Im just glad hes back with us." Goodson was arrested in May with friend Garant Evans after they were found in a car stopped on Interstate 80 in New Jersey. The men were charged with marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and weapons offences. Police said they found a .45-calibre semi-automatic handgun and a hollow-point bullet in the vehicle. The 26-year-old Goodson pleaded not guilty and took part in some preseason practices with the Jets, who signed him to a three-year, $6.9 million deal. The case was sent to a grand jury, but no court date has been scheduled. He said he had no plans to appeal his suspension by the NFL because it was "just something that I didnt want to do." Goodson wasnt sure if the Jets would release him at some point, but repeatedly said the team has been supportive of him through the entire process. "I just have my life in order," he said. "I was able to get my life in order and able to look at some things that I wasnt happy with with myself." Goodson wouldnt elaborate, but he acknowledged that he was a bit nervous about how he would be received by his Jets teammates when he returned. "But the guys have been great," he said. "It was all smiles and hugs when I got back, so its good." One of his biggest goals is to earn back the trust of his teammates, and he plans to do that by putting in a lot of work and not talking much. "I think the proof is in your actions," he said. He acknowledged that he has met with Ryan and general manager John Idzik about what is expected of him. While he wouldnt reveal what was said, Goodson isnt necessarily operating under an assumption that he needs to have not even the slightest misstep from here on out. "Nobodys perfect," he said. "But like I said, Im going to do my best and Im better for the job now that I did take the time that I needed." Lane Taylor Super Bowl Jersey . Paire broke Giraldo twice and lost his serve once in both sets to wrap up the win in 1 hour, 10 minutes. He will next face Pablo Carreno Busta of Spain, who advanced when Jurgen Zopp of Estonia retired with an injury at 5-5 in the first set. Dave Robinson Super Bowl Jersey . The former Toronto FC designated player played three of his 15 professional seasons with the team. http://www.packersonlineteamstore.com/jk-scott-youth-jersey.html . Pominville scored in all three of Minnesotas games last week to help the Wild (8-4-3, 19 points) earn four out of a possible six points. His best performance was in a 4-3 win over Montreal on Friday, where he posted a season-high three points (two goals, one assist), including the game-winning goal. LONDON -- Manchester City moved provisionally top of the Premier League with a controversial 2-0 victory at Newcastle while Liverpool stayed in contention with a 5-3 win at Stoke as both teams benefited Sunday from contentious refereeing decisions. Goals from Edin Dzeko and Alvaro Negredo secured Citys 10th consecutive win over the Magpies as Manuel Pellegrinis high-scoring team extended its unbeaten run in all competitions to 15 games. But the result did not reflect the intensity of a game overshadowed by referee Mike Jones decision to disallow Cheikh Tiotes apparent equalizer, ruling that Yoan Gouffran interfered with play in an offside position. Negredo secured Citys win in added time while league top scorer Luis Suarez scored twice for Liverpool and Steven Gerrard converted a disputed penalty. City won its third straight away game to climb one point above Chelsea in the standings ahead of Arsenals match at Aston Villa on Monday. If the Gunners win, they will move back to the top of the table. But Citys successful day was marred by Samir Nasri sustaining a knee injury and having to be carried off on a stretcher after a reckless tackle by Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, who escaped with a yellow card. Nasri was set to undergo scans on Monday, with the club fearing he may have sustained ligament damage. "Nasri has I think a serious injury to his knee, we will see tomorrow. I repeat it was a direct red card," City manager Manuel Pellegrini said. "Its his medial ligament. We will see tomorrow what has happened with him." Pellegrinis team has now won six consecutive league matches and scored a total of 94 goals in all competitions, more than its entire tally for last season. Utilizing its usual combination of quick passing and movement, City moved in front as David Silva released Aleksandar Kolarov on the left side before the Serbia defender sent a low cross for Dzeko to fire into the back of the net for his fifth league goal of the season. But Tiote and the whole crowd thought he had equalized when he fired a stunning shot into the top corner in the 34th minute. The linesmans flag stayed down but Jones went over to talk to his assistant before disallowing the goal, judging that Gouffran, standing in front of Joe Hart in an offside position, was interfering with play. A dejected Alan Pardew shook his head in disbelief while Newcastle fans booed the decision and started to sing "1-0 to the referee." "WWere in an entertainment business and the guys hit a wonder goal that Joe Hart isnt going to save," Pardew said. Billy Turner Super Bowl Jersey. . "Im not thrilled with the referees answer when Ive asked for an explanation as I dont quite get how he can disallow a goal of that quality on the technical point he is using. Joe Hart is nowhere near it. It goes through a crowd of City players who are impairing his view." Pardew confronted Pellegrini after the incident, with the Newcastle manager apparently aiming an expletive-laced tirade at his counterpart. "I apologize for that," Pardew said later. Negredo put the game away after being sent clear by Milner. Tim Krul did well to save his first shot but the ball ricochet off the keeper and Negredo shot into an empty goal. At Stoke, where Liverpool claimed its first ever league win, manager Brendan Rodgers acknowledged that his team was awarded a soft penalty after Marc Wilson sent Raheem Sterling tumbling in the box despite little contact. Gerrard converted from the spot to put the Reds back in front after they had squandered a two-goal lead. "I thought it was soft if I am being honest," Rodgers said. "I would call that a Spanish penalty, it is one where the attacker goes into the defender, who does not get the ball, and the contact puts him over. If we get that wee bit of fortune, we will take it." Liverpool trails City by five points and has one more point than fifth-place Everton in the race for the final Champions League spot. Suarez grabbed a brace and has now scored 22 league goals while Daniel Sturridge came off the bench to score after a nearly seven-week layoff with a sprained ankle. Liverpool allowed Stoke to rally from a 2-0 deficit when former Reds Peter Crouch and Charlie Adam cancelled out Ryan Shawcross own goal and Suarezs first strike. Gerrard then put his team back in front after the interval before Suarez gave the visitors breathing space from Sturridges assist. "Daniel Sturridge is a great player who helps the team. It is a long time we did not play with him," said Suarez, whose partnership with the England player had been deadly before Sturridges injury. Jonathan Walters pulled one back to ensure a nervous finish for the visitors before Sturridge secured the win two minutes later when he retrieved the ball near the goal line after his initial effort was saved, juggled it and slotted home from close range. The 23-year-old from Vancouver will face the No. 1-ranked Novak Djokovic in Fridays opening singles match at the Kombank Arena. With Pospisil also playing doubles, getting his toughest match out of the way gives him time to rest before teaming up with veteran Daniel Nestor on Saturday in doubles. "Obviously I dont have to talk about how good of a player (Djokovic) is so I know Im going to have a tough day on Friday," Pospisil said after Thursdays draw. "Im happy that Im playing first and to rest for the doubles on Saturday." Djokovic only arrived Wednesday night after losing a gruelling four-set match to Rafael Nadal in the U.S. Open final on Monday. There was a concern that Djokovic may be rested Friday and saved for Sundays much-anticipated match against top-ranked Canadian Milos Raonic. Djokovic assured the large gathering of Serbian media Thursday he will be ready to go when the best-of-five tie kicks off Friday. "Its not the first time that I have two days time to get ready," said Djokovic. "Its obvious that Im tired because Ive had a long hard-court season and jetlag and time changes can play a factor to my adjusting to the conditions but I feel quite healthy and very much motivated and inspired to play for my country." The 11th-ranked Raonic will play Janko Tipsarevic in the second match Friday. The player from Thornhill, Ont., has won all three previous meetings with Tipsarevic but all those wins have come on hard court surfaces. Theyll be playing on clay indoors in Belgrade, a surface that has challenged Raonic in the past. "Im playing much better on clay and even here after the summer Ive had, I have a lot of confidence ...," said Raonic. "Even though its a bit faster than a traditional clay court and clay court atmosphere, its something I feel very comfortablee with and I feel like Ive done well with. Cheap Yeezy 700 Salt. " Canada, which upset Spain and Italy in Vancouver to advance, has never played in the Davis Cup semifinals before. Serbia, meanwhile, is trying to get back to the final after winning the event in 2010. The winner of the tie will play the winner of the other semifinal between the Czech Republic and Argentina in November. Despite being in uncharted territory, the Canadians seemed relaxed Thursday. Raonic and Pospisil warmed up by throwing a football around and kicking a soccer ball over the net before a vigorous training session. Nestor arrived later with the rest of the staff for a final game of soccer tennis before the team marched in for the draw. The Canadian team has a strong connection to the Balkan region with Nestor returning to his birthplace while Raonic was born in what is now Montenegro. Frank Dancevic of Niagara Falls, Ont., who saw action in the first round against Spain in February, has a Serbian-born father and has trained in Belgrade recently. While those connections may earn the Canadians some respect from the 15,000 fans each day, Nestor knows they wont get much support. "If things get close, and we expect them to, I think for sure theyre going to forget about that pretty quickly," Nestor said. "At the end of the day its about winning the tie so theyre going to do what it takes to do that." In the doubles on Saturday, Nestor and Pospisil will be taking on Ilija Bozoljac and Nenad Zimonic. Bozoljac is a last-second change, replacing Dusan Lajovic. Nestor and Zimonic were partners between 2008 and 2010. The pair won three Grand Slam titles together so they know each other well. Nestor is more concerned with Lajovic. "I think Bozoljac brings something new to the table and we have to be prepared for him," said Nestor. "Hes a big hitter and a shot-maker and we have to try and take him off his game." The singles draws are flipped for Sunday with Djokovic opening the day against Raonic and Tipsarevic playing Pospisil. ' ' '

"After a ticket are ya mate? Geezer, youve got no chance bruv. Tyler Wade Jersey . Big money." Despite being the youngest member of the tout gang it was clear that this was the lad I would have to deal with. If the kid who played Malcolm in the Middle moved to England, spent the last 10 years in Manchester, bought an entire wardrobe collection of Nike shell suits and New York Yankee caps, with the peak bent upwards, this would be him. I didnt even bother explaining to him the purpose of my visit to Old Trafford. That had already happened a couple of minutes earlier when I chatted with one of his lieutenants, a man who I swore lived inside a caravan with Brad Pitt in the movie Snatch. "Hello mate, I came from Canada and I want to do a story on how hard it is for a fan to just show up to one of the biggest games of the season and get a ticket. Would you do a quick interview?" I thought it was a pretty polite request but Malcolms bouncer - well call him “Lee” - stared down at me and didnt say a word. I had gotten his message. Loud and clear. Malcolm was now nervously shifting his eyes everywhere, yet with me still in his presence, knew I was a serious customer here. I tried my luck with Lee again to see he if he hadnt actually lost his tongue in an illegal fight auditioning for Snatch. "Is it actually against the law then around here to sell tickets to the public?" "Sorta," he replied. I was relieved. Not only had Lee found his tongue but I now had an explanation for Malcolms out-of-control jitters. Then they got the better of him. "Weve been shopped lets move now... Stay there mate. Well be back," he shouted on the run. I was pretty sure he was talking to me although his barbarian of a mate had been chatting up a couple of potential clients from Europe wearing skinny Ronaldo shirts with Rafael Nadal pants on… you know, the ones the Euros love. My new mate Malcolm had bolted after seeing two gentlemen in Manchester United official blazers scope the area, but in reality they cared more about who was being let in to the posh car park they were minding. I found that out pretty quickly as I waited and wandered, albeit not too far from the area I was instructed to stand. And so there I was, stuck on a corner of a road staring at the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand, four hours before kick-off, relying on Malcolm in the middle of a freaking super dodgy ticket ring. Before I had bumped into these two geezers I had already scoped half of the ground and found little activity. One guy was muttering any spare tickets? under his breath but when I asked him if he had any he told me he was strictly a fan looking for one himself. He cared little for my story but at least had the decency to shake my hand in my pursuit of getting a ticket for less than 200 quid. It was clear he had been lying about looking to sell tickets, by the way, because I later saw him doing some deal himself. I hadnt visited Old Trafford as a fan for 15 years and I will admit that this side of ticket touting, as it is called in England, surprised me. This was a more seedy underworld than I imagined, however. Weighing up the evidence on show - such as it being the first game of the season, under new manager David Moyes, against Chelsea, and the return of Jose Mourinho, - all certainly pointed towards it being quite possibly Malcs cup final. At this moment, though, it seemed he was bottling his big game, like many of his countrymen have done once a ball has been placed on a penalty spot. I know some people who have got no time for touts (or scalpers as they are known in North America) but I have never felt that way. As a mad sports fan I have paid my own way into big events such as finals at Wembley, Indy 500s, a Game 7 of a Stanley Cup final and a Super Bowl, but usually these accomplishments are achieved by planning in advance and knowing when tickets go on sale. If people do that for a living then good luck to them, thats my thought. Usually, however, I am prepared enough to not have to deal with them but this time I had a project to do, so just where had Malcolm gone? It felt like half-an-hour but it was probably more like 15 minutes when Lee led his reappearance like a prize fighter walking into the ring. Mighty Malc was back, shell suit jacket and cap missing, wearing a red Man United golf polo shirt with a dozen match day programmes in his hand. Confidence restored... Impressive. The bottler had reinvented himself to try and close some deals masquerading as a worker for the club. His next move was to get on his phone and pretend to be talking to his girlfriend shouting pretend directions to her while walking past me. I got the hint and figured I needed to follow him. I had obviously gained his trust as the bouncer stayed put but I was soon to realize they were not just a double act. Walking towards us was now an older man in a large brown coat puffing on what looked to be cigarette number 31 of the day. Malc took control: "Right show it him." Smokey opened up his wallet and showed me a card with a random name on it. It was the last thing I wanted. I wanted a ticket not some season card, which may or may not be legit, belonging to some lad in Ibiza for the week. "150 quid and you have to meet us back here after the match ‘cos its my cousins pass," he ordered, in between coughs. The money was within the budget but it didnt feel right. To be honest I think I had made my mind up, not to deal with this group, the moment he turned into a programme seller. I wasnt buying what they were selling and Lee moved in to find out what the problem was. Malc the Manc was fuming. "Hes all nervous and stuff," he told the big man. Takes one to know one, I thought. "You are not getting in, then, mate. Thats it … Programmes! Who wants programmes?!" his voice getting louder as he walked away. I sensed their desperation in our final minutes together and knew his chances of moving a single season pass were slimmer than me finding another ticket. It was 5pm and still three hours to kick-off. I walked down Matt Busby Way, where a lot of street vendors stood. It looked like a busy place where tickets would be available. I was right. I saw the Ronaldo-Nadal boys looking at their new found tickets. I asked them who sold them and, after finding out they got the pair for 250 pounds, hunted down a much friendlier fella than Malc and his mates. My new mate for the minute was Wayne, who even found time to ask about Canada when he found out where I had come from. "Follow me down here mate." We were now in an alleyway at the back of houses, shielded by the clean laundry being hung out to dry in the locals back gardens. I asked once again about the legality of his work. "Its ridiculous, mate. If we are seen selling tickets, its a thousand pound fine. You are technically allowed to sell tickets but just not for a profit. Honestly, its stupid. People sell drugs up the road and yet we have to do it like this." I didnt feel much better but Waynes World was certainly friendlier than the Snatch gang… although a bit pricier. "I have a single seat. Its 200 quid." Thirty seconds later I had talked him down, he left with three 50 pound notes and I had a ticket that looked legitimate. I couldnt wait for 6pm to make sure it was legal, but I had to. Time spent in the club megastore was like being in an airport; different nationalities and accents everywhere and lines bigger than the check-in gate for a five quid Easyjet flight to Paris. Thousands of people were now outside Old Trafford, with many clearly being there for the first time in a while, identified quite easily by wearing those bizarre match day scarves, half Chelsea, half Man United, that are never bought by regular fans for obvious, common sense reasons. At 5:54pm the turnstiles unexpectedly opened early. Sixth in line to enter my section in the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand I scanned my ticket, the light flashed from red to green, and I had done it. I had mingled with the ticket gangs and got a seat 11 rows from the pitch. I was in the ground so early I witnessed a stewards meeting where one of the new men in a green vest was getting destroyed for being a City fan. The next two hours up to kick off proved to be almost as interesting as the two hours following it. Watching a 75,000+ stadium wake up from nothing to full capacity is exhilarating. I cannot recommend it enough. The rest of the night was very enjoyable. Sure, the game was grim in parts, but hearing both sets of fans chant Rooney Rooney was entertaining as were the topics being discussed at half-time amongst the home supporters as they chomped on their Holland Pies and sipped their Singha beer. The man on the lips of the entire stadium probably was the games best player but it was equally enjoyable to watch Chelseas front four try to execute moves I had watched them do so closely in the warm-up. The game ended 0-0 but there were very few groans. I certainly left with a smile on my face. After all, I didnt have to go and meet Smokey and his mate Malc. However, English Premier League side Swansea survived a defeat to St. Gallen to advance to the last 32, joining Chornomorets, NK Maribor and Maccabi Tel Aviv in reaching the knockout stage after the final round of group matches. Two more places were up for grabs in the late kickoffs, with Dynamo Kyiv needing at least a draw against Rapid Vienna to progress from Group G. Swansea lost 1-0 at St. Gallen, with Marco Mathys scoring the winner, but advanced as the runner-up in Group A because Kuban Krasnodar only drew 1-1 at Valencia, which had already sealed top spot. England will have two teams in the last 32 because Tottenham has already qualified, but Wigan failed to join them after losing 2-1 at Maribor, which climbed to second place in Group D above Zulte Wagerem on goal difference. Zulte lost 2-0 at home to Rubin Kazan. Maccabi Tel Aviv sealed runner-up spot in Group F courtesy of a 1-0 home win over Bordeaux. Fiorentina went through as the unbeaten Group F winner after a 2-1 win against FC Dnipro. Juventus, Ajax, Benfica, Napoli, Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, Viktoria Plzen and Basel dropped down into the Europa League after finishing third in their Champions League groups. SAN DIEGO -- Jimmy Walker is playing the opening two rounds of the Farmers Insurance Open with Tiger Woods. Bill George Jersey . That will be 35 more holes than the first time they played together. Walker was a senior at Baylor when he used his parents credit card -- against their wishes because it was during finals -- to go through Monday qualifying for the Byron Nelson Championship. He got in the field and after taking one final exam, ran up to Dallas for a practice round at Cottonwood Valley using a local caddie. "All of a sudden, Tiger is over on the front nine and my guys is like, Hey, theres Tiger over there," Walker said. This was 2001. It was Woods first tournament since he won the Masters for his fourth straight major. "So he pretty much was owning everybody," Walker said. Woods skipped over to the par 5 that Walker was playing, so Walker picked up his ball and headed to the next tee. Woods picked up his ball and headed to the same tee. "Hes like, Can I play through you? Im trying to play real fast and get a couple of holes in? I said, Dude, you can do whatever you want," Walker recalled. So this was the one hole they played together, and it was memorable for Walker for one reason. "I am literally shaking," he said. "I have every bad-swing thought possible -- dont shank it, top it, all that stuff. I make contact. I look up and its heading right at it. Cant see it because its kind of in the setting sun. We walked down there and he asked whats going on, I told him I Monday qualified. We talked and it was really cool and he was really nice. We get down there and his ball is about 15 feet away and mines about 6 feet away." Woods picked up his ball and was on his way. But there was a lesson for Walker. "I can remember thinking, Man, if I was that nervous and I hit that good of a shot, I guarantee I will never be that nervous again my entire life -- ever," Walker said. He recalls narrowly missing the cut. And then he qualified for his first U.S. Open at Southern Hills. Walker played a practice round that week with Nick Faldo. No big deal. "It was so easy compared to that one shot," he said. So when his wife sent him a text Tuesday that he was playing with Woods and Jordan Spieth, Walker offered a predictable response: "Sounds fun." Riyad Mahrez netted the winner at Crystal Palace on Saturday Id be more nervous about the actual title on the final day than the money if I hadnt cashed out, but I actually think well have it won before then due to the tough games Tottenham have got coming up.Then even if it does come down to it, Im not convinced Chelsea will be giving it their all to stop us if it means Tottenham or Arsenal benefit. The 26-year-old can now enjoy what would surely be the greatest sporting upset of all time, while the rest of their backers weigh up whether to Cash Out or hang in there.Would you have pressed the Cash Out button for £29k? SARASOTA, Fla. Tom McNeill Jersey . - It will be a few days before Manny Machado can run on his surgically repaired knee, and the Baltimore Orioles third baseman concedes he might not be ready for the start of the season. "I dont know if Ill make opening day or not," Machado said Sunday. "Its not in the back of my mind. Im not worried about playing games yet. I just want to get healthy. Once I get healthy Ill be ready to roll and keep playing and just get back into playing mode." Machado had surgery on a torn ligament in his left knee in October. The knee is sore, a development that was not unexpected. "Its part of the process, scar tissue breaking up. Its normal after the surgery I had," he said. "It was going to happen now or later so Im pretty glad it was now. Just sit back a couple days and let it heal and then keep going." Machado was supposed to have a re-evaluation on Tuesday, but that appointment almost certainly wont happen because he hasnt run in nearly a week. "You dont want to force it and feel like something else is going to go wrong," he said. "Might as well just prevent it and not let it happen." The 21-year-old Machado made the AL All-Star team last year in his first full season in the majors. He played in all 156 games before twisting his knee while running to first base in a game against Tampa Bay. Sam Mills Jersey . Dickey earned an American League Gold Glove on Tuesday to become the first Toronto Blue Jays pitcher to win the award.NEW YORK, N.Y. - Greg Maddux could break a 22-year-old record Wednesday, though he wont become the first unanimous selection in the history of the baseball writers Hall of Fame ballot. When Tom Seaver received 425 of 430 votes in 1992, his 98.84 percentage topped the mark set by Ty Cobb in 1936. A dominant pitcher when offence ruled in the Steroids Era, Maddux has a chance to enter Cooperstown with a little extra bit of fame. "I just have just never come across any human being, whether theyre a voter or just a fan, that doesnt think Greg Maddux is a Hall of Famer and one of the greatest pitchers who ever pitched," The Boston Globes Nick Cafardo said Tuesday. "I cant imagine someone not voting for him. So I would guess that hes going to break Seavers record." Maddux is among three high-profile players on the Baseball Writers Association of America ballot for the first time, joined by former Atlanta Braves teammate Tom Glavine and Chicago White Sox slugger Frank Thomas. Holdovers include Craig Biggio, who topped voting at 68 per cent last year, 39 votes short of the 75 per cent needed for election. It was only the second time in four decades the BBWAA failed to elect anyone. Ken Gurnick of MLB.com, a former reporter for the Los Angeles Herald Examiner, said Tuesday the only player he voted for was Jack Morris, on the writers ballot for the 15th and final time after falling 42 votes shy last year. "To me, I didnt exclude Maddux. I excluded everybody from that era, everybody from the Steroid Era," Gurnick said. "It wasnt about Greg Maddux, it was about the entire era. I just dont know who did and who didnt." Gurnick said Morris also was the only player he voted for in 2013 and added he intends to abstain in future elections. "Some people quibble over when the era starts, but the bulk of his career was in my opinion well before all of the widespread use of performance-enhancing drugs," Gurnick said. Given that 569 ballots were submitted in 2013, Maddux likely could be omitted from six this year and still break Seavers record. Back in 1992, Seaver was left off by Paul Hagen of the Philadelphia Daily News, Bob Hertzel of The Pittsburgh Press and freelance writer Bob Hunter. They all submitted blank ballots to protest the decision by the Hall of Fame board of directors to bar Pete Rose from the vote because of his lifetime ban from baseball following a gambling probe. Retired writers Deane McGowen and Bud Tucker also did not vote for Seaver. "If it had cost Seaver anything, yeah, I prrobably would regret it at some level, but it didnt really cost him anything," Hagen, now with MLB. Ryan Ramczyk Jersey. com, said Tuesday. "He still got the highest vote (percentage) total ever, and he wouldnt have been unanimous anyway." The Steroids Era has impacted the vote totals of players with stellar statistics. In initial appearances last year, Mike Piazza was at 57.8 per cent, Roger Clemens at 37.6, Barry Bonds at 36.2 and Sammy Sosa at 12.5. Mark McGwire received 16.9 on his seventh try. The Baseball Think Factory website compiled votes by writers who made their opinions public, and with 161 ballots had Maddux at 99 per cent, followed by Glavine (96), Thomas (91) and Biggio (79). The websites count had Piazza (6, Jeff Bagwell (61) and Morris (60) falling short along with Tim Raines (55), Bonds (42), Clemens (41), Curt Schilling (37) and Mike Mussina (29). McGwire (14) and Sosa ( had little support. Eighth on the wins list with a 355-227 record and a 3.16 ERA over 23 seasons, Maddux won four consecutive Cy Young Awards from 1992-95 and a record 18 Gold Gloves with the Chicago Cubs, Atlanta, the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego. An eight-time All-Star, he won at least 13 games in 20 straight seasons. Among pitchers with 3,000 innings whose careers began in 1921 or later — after the Dead Ball Era — Madduxs 1.80 walks per nine innings is second only to Robin Roberts 1.73, according to STATS. Glavine, a 10-time All-Star and a two-time Cy Young winner, was 305-203 over 22 seasons. At the induction ceremony in Cooperstown on July 27, Maddux and Glavine figure to join their former manager Bobby Cox, elected last month by the expansion-era committee along with Joe Torre and Tony La Russa. A two-time AL MVP, Thomas hit .301 with 521 homers and 1,704 RBIs in 19 seasons with the White Sox, Toronto and Oakland. Biggio was a seven-time All-Star who spent his entire 20-year career in the majors with Houston. He had 3,060 hits, 668 doubles and 414 steals and set a big league record by getting hit with pitches 285 times. Approximately 600 writers who have been members of the BBWAA for 10 consecutive years at any point considered the 36-player ballot. Next years ballot could be even more crowded when Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, John Smoltz, Carlos Delgado and Gary Sheffield become eligible, five years after their retirements. The BBWAA last month formed a committee to study whether the organization should ask the Hall to change the limit of 10 players per ballot. ' ' '

BEREA, Ohio -- For the first time at Browns training camp, the spotlight wasnt on Johnny Manziel. https://www.cheapjerseyslines.com/" class="TyTxtSmlC">Nike Cheap Jerseys . LeBron James stole it. The NBA megastar got his football fix Thursday, showing up with his two sons to watch Manziel and the Browns practice. James spent an hour watching a morning workout as the team prepares for Saturdays exhibition opener in Detroit. It was James first public appearance -- the practice was open only to media and corporate VIP guests -- since re-signing with the Cavaliers last month, and his entrance caused quite a commotion. Browns players couldnt wait to meet him after practice, and several had their photos taken with the four-time MVP, who is noticeably thinner after shedding some weight during the off-season. Rookie cornerback Justin Gilbert ran into the locker room to grab his phone before returning to the field to shake hands with James. "Its awesome having him out here," Pro Bowl tackle Joe Thomas said. "Hes obviously the best player in our generation in the NBA. To have him back in Cleveland is awesome." James spoke for several minutes on the sideline with Browns coach Mike Pettine and safety Donte Whitner. He chatted outside the locker room with Manziel, his close friend and business partner. "He just asked how camp was going," Pettine said. "You could tell that hes into it and loves football, a big Browns fan. He said hell be at the games when its warm, and when its cold hell be watching in his basement." Forced to keep one eye on his sons as they tossed around a football, James later walked off the field holding hands with LeBron Jr. and Bryce. He declined comment, saying "Ill see you tomorrow" to reporters as cameramen surrounded him. James homecoming to Northeast Ohio is being celebrated with an event in Akron on Friday night. Pettine also got his photo taken with James, who towered over every group. "I do know Im going to be father of the year now," Pettine said. "I got my daughter a picture with LeBron. She could care less about a picture with me." Pettine has had quite a week, meeting Browns Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown for the first time at a practice. "When I got hired, somebody very quickly brought it up to me that I might have both of those opportunities," he said. "Two things off the bucket list." James and his sons were presented with No. 23 Browns jerseys that the boys put on. James took more photos with members of Clevelands coaching staff and general manager Ray Farmer. James return has given Cleveland fans hope they may one day celebrate a championship. Its been 50 years since the Browns captured the NFL title, the last Cleveland team to win it all. Pettine believes all three teams can feed off each other. "Its hard to explain when it happens, but I think it kind of gets fed through the fans with the teams," he said. "I dont know how many of them are actual connecting with each other, but I think when the city gets revved up, I think you can have momentum from season to season." Whitner grew up here and is well aware of the areas sports misery. But Cleveland -- at long last -- isnt such a joke and suddenly an epicenter of excitement. "Stuff like this doesnt happen. Thats why its time for a change," he said. "Were from here in Northeast Ohio: LeBron is from Northeast Ohio; we get Johnny here. Its a lot of excitement, man, and I think we pretty much deserve it. I think that a lot of people kick us around a lot, talk a lot of trash about us, but we deserve it." NOTES: Practice ended with defensive and offensive linemen squaring off in an extra-point competition. Defensive end Armond Bryant made the first attempt and Thomas, who punted and kicked in high school, booted one through with a straight-on approach before an out-of-character celebration. "There were some very unique styles," Pettine said. ... Manziel will not play with the starters in Detroit, Pettine said. ... Gilbert is "nicked up" and will likely be held out against Detroit. In a soul-baring speech that lasted more than 25 minutes, Durant fought back tears several times while thanking each of his teammates, the coaches, support staff and team executives, and finally his family. The emotional outpouring culminated with a tribute to his mother, Wanda Pratt, and the sacrifices she made, the inspiration she provided while raising Durant and his brother in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. "You made us believe," Durant said to Pratt, who was at the ceremony in Edmond, Oklahoma. "Kept us off the street. Put clothes on our backs, food on the table. When you didnt eat, you made sure we ate. You sacrificed for us. Youre the real MVP." Durant explained that Pratt was a single mother with two boys, and though times were tough while growing up, Pratt always thought something better was ahead. Durant said to appreciate moments like these, he often looks back to gain perspective. "One of the best memories I had is when we moved into our first apartment," he said as tears streamed down Pratts face. "No bed, no furniture, and we just all sat in the living room and hugged each other, cause thats when we all thought we made it." Hes really made it now. The young man who said he was told he "wasnt supposed to be here" won the NBAs top individual honour Tuesday, receiving 119 first-place votes. Miamis LeBron James, who had won the last two MVP awards and four of the previous five, finished second with six first-place votes, and Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers was third. Durant, 25, called it "surreal" and at one point, as he thanked his teammates, he stopped and said, "I dont know why Im crying so much." "Everything in my life, I had to take it," Durant said. "Theyre not going to give it to you out of sympathy. I wouldnt want it any other way. This was another case, if I wanted to win the MVP, I had to go take it. I felt that this was the year I did that." During a speech in which Durant revealed a humility and vulnerability rarely displayed by a professional athlete, he also drew some laughs. "I could walk in and have a terrible day and I could see Hasheem (Thabeet) smiling at me, at 7-foot-3 with small pants on," he said. "That would change my day." Durant mentioned qualities about each teammate, showing respect for the veterans who challenge him and the rookies who inspire him to do things the right way because they look up to him. "I go home and I think about that stuff, man," he said. "When youve got people behind you, you can do whatever." Durant won his fourth scoring crown in five years by averaging 32 points. The 6-foot-9 forward helped the Thunder go 59-23, second-best in the leaggue, despite playing much of the season without three-time All-Star Russell Westbrook because of a nagging knee injury. https://www.cheapjerseyslines.com/" class="TyTxtSmlC">Buy Cheap Jerseys. "Hes basically put himself in front of everybody else in the league and shown that hes the best player in the world," Westbrook said at the end of the regular season. James agreed, saying Monday: "Much respect to him and he deserves it. He had a big-time MVP season." Durants run of 41 consecutive games this season with at least 25 points was the third-longest streak in NBA history. "It was a two-man race, and then toward the end, it was kind of a no-brainer," Griffin said. James averaged 27.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 6.3 assists while shooting nearly 57 per cent from the field. Griffin averaged 24.1 points and 10.1 rebounds. Durant scored at least 40 points 14 times. He also averaged 7.4 rebounds and a career-high 5.5 assists while shooting 50 per cent from the field. While Westbrook was out after his most recent knee surgery, Durant averaged 35 points and 6.3 assists as the Thunder went 20-7 and remained among the leagues elite. Teammates and opponents say Durant became a more complete player this season. They praised him for improving his court vision, consistently making the extra pass and moving more efficiently without the ball. "I think we take it for granted," teammate Nick Collison said. "To be able to stay on for long periods of time -- have to cut hard, catch the ball in the right spot and defend on the other end -- is tough to do. To be able to show that shows that he has an edge to him. He doesnt take a night off." Though Durants consistency stood out this season, he had several exceptional games. He scored 48 points on Jan. 4 at Minnesota, then scored 48 again two games later at Utah. He scored a career-high 54 points in a home win against Golden State on Jan. 17 and two games later scored 46 at home in a victory against Portland. Two games after that, he had a triple-double -- 32 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists -- in a win at Philadelphia, and he followed that with 41 points in a victory over Atlanta. He scored 51 points at Toronto on March 21 in a staggering 53 minutes and hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 1.7 seconds left in double overtime. He capped it off in the season finale by scoring 21 of his 42 points in the fourth quarter against Detroit and winning the game with a dunk with 16.5 seconds left. The Thunder overcame a 10-point deficit in the quarter to clinch the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. "I put in so much work and so many people helped me," he said. "I feel like we all won it. Our equipment guy gave me a hug today and said, This is my first MVP, and I thought about that. And I said, Yeah, this is our first MVP. I couldnt have done it without the teammates, without the trainer. Everybody. We all just did this together." ' ' '

Madison, WI (SportsNetwork. https://www.cheaprocketsonline.com/1407z-nene-jersey-rockets.html" class="TyTxtSmlC">Nene Jersey .com) - Frank Kaminsky scored 21 points to lead fourth-ranked Wisconsin to a 62-55 win over Purdue on Wednesday. Josh Gasser added 15 points and Traevon Jackson contributed 13 for the Badgers (15-1, 3-0 Big Ten), whose win streak reached a season-high eight games. The win was Bo Ryans 159th in conference play since arriving at Wisconsin, setting a new program record. There was a lot of energy out there on the court, said Ryan. This would have been one to be a fan, to see two teams going at each other like that. Jon Octeus poured in 15 points to go with eight rebounds for the Boilermakers (10-6, 2-1), who have dropped four of their last six. A.J. Hammons picked up 11 points in a losing cause. We had to do a better job of moving our feet, and we didnt. We had to do a better job of just staying positive when we didnt get some calls, Purdue head coach Matt Painter said. Hopefully we can learn from it, and then next time it happens we can make the adjustments. The games fifth and final tie occurred with 6:49 left in regulation as Hammons connected on a jumper to pull Purdue even at 45-45. From there, Wisconsin reeled off a 9-2 run to take control for good. Kaminsky scored four in a row to start the surge and Gasser split two from the line to end it with 3:17 remaining and the Badgers held a comfortable 54-47 cushion. Four times the Boilermakers pulled within five points over the remainder of the contest, but the Badgers answered each time. Kaminskys 20th and 21st points on the night came from the free-throw line with 15 seconds left, just after Octeus got the visitors to 60-55. Earlier on, Octeus and Hammons both hit jumpers and Purdue was ahead 12-7 at the six-minute mark. Dakota Mathias then hit a trey and the Boilermakers edge was 19-14, but Kaminskys layup inside of four minutes left in the first half gave the hosts a one-point edge. Nigel Hayes hit two free throws and the Badgers entered intermission up 28-27. Jacksons three-point play was the last of six in a row to begin the second half from the Badgers, then a Kendall Stephens try forged a 35-35 deadlock. Gassers bucket again was the final of six straight by the hosts who led 41-35 with 12:52 to go. Though holding onto a slim margin, Wisconsin didnt give up the lead until Hammons shot. Game Notes Purdue shot 51 percent from the field (25-of-49) in defeat, while Wisconsin was held to 43.6 percent (17-of-39) efficiency which included a 3-for-14 clip from beyond the arc ... SOCHI, Russia -- Canada will send 54 athletes to Sochi for next months Paralympic Games. Dee Ford Super Bowl Jersey . The Canadian Paralympic Committee announced the team for the March 7-16 Games on Wednesday. Canada will compete in every Paralympic sport contested, including sledge hockey, wheelchair curling, para-alpine skiing, para-snowboard, para-Nordic skiing and biathlon. Canadas team includes five guides for athletes with a visual impairment, including Erik Carleton, who will try to help Brian McKeever of Canmore, Alta., add to his collection of 10 Paralympic medals. Other Canadian athletes include three-time Paralympian Robbi Weldon of Thunder Bay, Ont., who competed in cycling at the 2012 London Games, and three-time Paralympians Billy Bridges of Summerside, P.E.I., and Graeme Murray of Gravenhurst, Ont., of the mens sledge hockey team. Alpine skier Chris Williamson of Toronto, who has won 105 World Cup medals and three Paralympic medals, will also compete in his fourth Paralympics. Canadas goal is to finish top three in the gold-medal count, which was achieved at the 2010 Games in Vancouver with 10 gold among the 19 won. Canada sent 220 athletes to the Olympics in Sochi and brought home 25 medals (10 gold, 10 silver, 5 bronze). Approximately 575 athletes from 45 countries will compete at the Sochi Paralympics. The roster changes have been constant and continuous since late last year, but even with their 46-man roster set for the start of the season, the banged-up Bombers will be kicking off Week 1 with a handful of fresh faces and back-ups in the starting lineup. The most noticeable difference on offence will be the yet-to-be-determined starting tailback spot, as 2013 East Division All-Star Will Ford has missed both of Winnipegs preseason games with a hamstring issue that arose early in training camp. Ford has taken in just a handful of practices this past week as he eases himself back to 100 per cent health. Explosive newcomer Paris Cotton will be out a few weeks with a "tweaked knee" according to Mike OShea, so fellow first-year ball carrier Nic Grigsby looks to get the start against the Toronto Argonauts. "Im just going to go do my job," said Grigsby, who has also been a little banged-up as of late but has battled through since the Ford and Cotton injuries. "Coach told me to lock in — lock and load — so thats what Im going to do. Im preparing myself for the long-haul." "Youve got to grow up. Be a pro," added Grigsby, who OShea has spoken admirably of in the tailbacks desire and ability to stay active enough to take full reps through camp despite some bumps and bruises. "Youve got to be a leader out there. Be enthusiastic, and just seize the moment right now... Everybody out here is bumped and bruised up. Everyone from Toronto is out there bumped and bruised up. Come Thursday, Coach OShea is going to get us ready, prepared, and calmed down — our bodies ready to go to play a good game." Starting centre Steve Morley, who worked on snapping the football all winter, shifts to the middle from the right guard spot for the upcoming season. The 11-year-pro didnt practice Monday with a tweaked hamstring and is listed as "hopeful" for Week 1. In his place taking first-team reps at centre this week is 2014 second-overall draft pick Matthias Goossen. Fourth-year national lineman Patrick Neufeld, acquired from the Saskatchewan Roughriders for 2013 sack leader Alex Hall, will start at right guard. Dan Knapp, a former tight end at Arizonna State who joined Winnipegs practice roster in mid-September last year, has won the starting right tackle job. Garrett Celek Super Bowl Jersey. "I lost the majority of my fat, basically, and worked as hard as I possibly could this offseason and its really, really paying off on the field," said Knapp, whose ultra-muscular build is much more akin to that of a speed-rush defensive end. "I was working out twice a day, five days a week. Speed training... That was consistent all through the offseason. My head was on straight and I knew what I needed to do to come out here to be successful." On the other side of the ball, defensive backs Alex Suber (hamstring) and Marty Markett (ankle), linebacker Korey Banks (back), and national Donovan Alexander (calf) — who is the expected starter at field corner — are all on the one-game injured list to start the season. To keep the ratio, national Matt Bucknor will start in place of Alexander on Thursday night. "Thats my role coming in. If I have to back-up then Im willing to do that. If I have to start Im definitely excited to do that as well," said Bucknor, who will look to make his first CFL start since his 2012 rookie season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. "Any chance you get to step on the field and put on the jersey is an opportunity to perform and showcase your talents. Definitely, its something that Im looking forward to." A former NFL starting cornerback will line up in place of veteran field halfback Alex Suber. "Im versatile. Im quick. I can move around. I got speed," said Bruce Johnson, who spent the 2009 through 2011 seasons with the New York Giants. "Just getting adjusted to the waggle and the new things like that, it took me a little bit going through the camps, but Ive adjusted very well." 2008 Kansas City Chiefs rookie of the year Moe Leggett has won the starting safety job, while Chris Randle — acquired via trade with the Calgary Stampeders this past offseason — and third-year Bomber Demond Washington will man the boundary corner and halfback spots. The defensive line, which OShea has described as a team strength, has two new faces from the 2013 unit in Jason Vega (back after a two-team NFL stint) and former University of Manitoba Bison, Louie Richardson. The perpetual rotation of Vega, Richardson, Bryant Turner, Greg Peach, Zach Anderson and Jake Thomas has made deciphering the starting unit a near impossibility. ' ' '

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A tough season for David Desharnais finally produced a bright spot. Lane Taylor Super Bowl Jersey . Desharnais scored in the shootout -- the only time he has found the net all season -- and Peter Budaj stopped all three shots he faced in the tiebreaker to lead the Montreal Canadiens to a 3-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday night. "You know what? He played well," Canadiens coach Michel Therrien said of Desharnais, the fifth-year pro who has one assist in 17 games this season. "He started on the fourth line and I saw his intensity in practice this week. "Im really glad for him and his confidence that he ended up scoring the goal in the shootout." Desharnais had been contributing so little that he was a healthy scratch in two of the previous four games. But he had a good percentage in shootouts last season, and that was enough for Therrien to send him out. Desharnais took his turn after the first three shooters were stopped. He came in and netted a hard forehand on Curtis McElhinneys stick side. "He had a quick release there," McElhinney said. "Shootouts are always difficult ways to end games." Budaj, giving starter Carey Price a night off before the Canadiens face the New York Rangers at home on Saturday night, had earlier stopped Mark Letestu and Anisimov. He blocked Ryan Johansens forehand attempt to clinch the win. Budaj, who had 23 saves, said Desharnais finally got repaid for his hard work. "David works so hard. Nobody sees that," Budaj said. "It has been tough for him, but he stayed the course like a true professional and kept working hard. The coach put him there, and he was ready. His hard work paid off. He made a big, big goal for us." Montreals regulation goals were scored by Alex Galchenyuk and Lars Eller. R.J. Umberger and Artem Anisimov had first-period goals for the Blue Jackets. McElhinney made 38 saves. The game pitted teams that have been struggling. The Canadiens had lost five of six (1-3-2), and the Blue Jackets have now dropped eight of nine (1-6-2) -- although they have earned at least a point in their last four games. "Were doing a lot of good things. I think thats maybe the frustrating part," forward Nick Foligno said. "There just seems to be that lull, that little moment in the game where we give them a chance to come back or we let them hang around. We had a 2-0 game. Youve got to find a way to hold that lead." The Blue Jackets took that two-goal lead in the first period, one on a gift, but then helped give one back in the final seconds. The first came at 15:33 when Umberger was at the short boards on the left wing and fired a shot that Budaj missed because of a screen in front to make it 1-0. Columbus continued to pressure, and David Savards slap shot from the top of the right circle clanged off the post. Seconds later, Anisimov took a backhand swing at a loose puck that appeared to ramp off a Canadiens stick. The puck sailed high, and with Jared Boll on his back in the crease while bumping into Budaj, the puck lazily bounced into the net. After the Blue Jackets Jack Johnson and Montreals Brandon Prust went off with concurrent penalties, the Canadiens scored a goofy goal. Columbus defenceman Fedor Tyutin whiffed twice on a bouncing puck at the blue line, and Galchenyuk swooped in to beat McElhinney with a forehand with just 8 seconds left in the period. The Canadiens tied it on the power play at 7:34 of the second. They had gotten several prime opportunities on their first attempt with a man advantage. This time Daniel Briere had a clear shot from the high slot, but McElhinney blocked it. The rebound squirted off to the right doorstep where Eller jammed it in under McElhinneys right arm for his seventh goal. Budaj never let the Blue Jackets regain the lead. "Theres a disconnect somewhere," Columbus coach Todd Richards said. "Weve talked about it a lot. In the first period we execute, do the right things, have some success, and then we abandon it." NOTES: The Blue Jackets sustained a major blow Friday when it was announced RW Marian Gaborik will miss 4-to-6 weeks after spraining his left knee in a 3-2 overtime loss at Boston on Thursday. ... The Raptors longest-serving members, Johnson and DeRozan have had two coaches and 56 different teammates in five seasons with the club, all without appearing in a single playoff game. Bart Starr Super Bowl Jersey . Future Hall of Famer Ricky Ray is in his prime and back for a third season in double blue. The 34-year old was magnificent in 2013, throwing for just under 2,900 yards despite missing eight games, tossing an impressive 21 touchdowns against just two interceptions, completing 66 per cent of his passes in the process. http://www.packersonlineteamstore.com/randall-cobb-youth-jersey.html .I get texts: Do you know Drake? LIVERPOOL, England -- Ki Sung-Yeungs first-half penalty gave last-place Sunderland a surprise 1-0 win at 10-man Everton on Thursday after goalkeeper Tim Howard was sent off for bringing down the South Korea midfielder. Ki, who is on loan from Swansea, darted into the box midway through the first half and was tackled by Howard, who was given a straight red card. The midfielder then converted the 25th-minute spot kick to give Sunderland its first away win of the season and a much-needed boost in its fight to escape the relegation zone. Gus Poyets team remains bottom, three points from safety. Everton brought on Ross Barkley as a substitute and piled on the pressure after the break but could not find an equalizer, with Sunderland goalkeeper Vito Mannone pulling off several impressive saves. Everton is fifth after only its second loss of the season, five points off the league lead. Howard saved a shot by Jack Colback shortly before the incident that led to his sending off. Howard opted for a short goal-kick to Leon Osman, who couldnnt control it and Ki stole the ball and tried to go around Howard but was fouled by the goalkeeper. Ray Nitschke Super Bowl Jersey. Ki, who also netted the winning goal against Chelsea in the League Cup quarterfinals, then made no mistake in firing the penalty in past substitute goalkeeper Joel Robles. Robles looked shaky as he fumbled Ondrej Celustkas drive in the 36th minute but did well to block the follow-up by Sebastian Larsson and from the resulting corner, Ki miscued wildly when trying to shoot. After the break, Everton began to apply some pressure but Mannone made a decent parry to keep out Phil Jagielkas header and got his hands on Romelu Lukakus attempt at a rebound shot. Lukaku then saw Mannone get down to claim his drilled shot from outside the box, before Barkley - who netted so spectacularly in the previous game against Swansea - sent another ambitious effort too high. Mannone comfortably dealt with further shots from Lukaku and Barkley, then produced a delightful save to push behind a rising drive from Bryan Oviedo. ' ' '

The Montreal Canadiens received a spectacular goaltender effort from Carey Price in Game One at Boston. https://www.cheapthunder.com/151h-alton-lister-jersey-thunder.html" class="TyTxtSmlC">Alton Lister Jersey . Scott Cullen has notes on Price, Tuukka Rask, P.K. Subban, Rene Bourque and more. HABS STEAL GAME ONE Despite being soundly outplayed by the hometown Boston Bruins, the Montreal Canadiens emerged from Game One with a 4-3 double-overtime win, thanks to G Carey Price, who stopped 48 of the 51 shots that he faced. Price had a career-best .927 save percentage this season, but he had a .904 save percentage in the first round sweep over Tampa Bay, so its not like this game was standard fare. During the regular season, Price had a dozen games during which he recorded at least 35 saves, ranking fifth in the league. What is important for the Canadiens, though, is that Price is capable of stealing games like this because thats likely what is going to be required if Montreal is going to upset a superior puck possession team. At the other end, Vezina Trophy favourite Tuukka Rask stopped 29 of 33 shots and he was critical of his own performance. Maybe a little hard on himself, as goalies can be, but it could also reflect some frustration. For as great as Rask has been to this point in his career -- he has the best save percentage in the league since 2009-2010 -- but has had his problems with Montreal, including a .908 save percentage in 17 regular-season games against the Habs and has yet to beat the Canadiens in Boston, now 0-9 after Game One. Montreal got a pair of goals -- their first and last -- from D P.K. Subban, who played a game-high 33:49 in Game One and now has seven points in five playoff games this season. Likely the most pleasant surprise of this postseason for the Habs has been LW Rene Bourque, who scored three goals against Tampa Bay in the first round and came up with a goal and an assist against Boston. The Bruins controlled play so thoroughly that LW Daniel Paille had their worst possession numbers, and he was still on for 51.9% of 5-on-5 shot attempts. Defencemen Dougie Hamilton and Zdeno Chara as well as C Patrice Bergeron and RW Reilly Smith were all on for better than 70% of shot attempts. There was an interesting allocation at the bottom of the Habs puck possession chart for this game. LW Travis Moen (17.4%) was at the very bottom, but the next four, all under 26%, were the shortest Habs -- RW Brendan Gallagher, C David Desharnais, C Daniel Briere and D Mike Weaver. The only two Canadiens over 50% in shot attempts were Bourque and Lars Eller. Its just one game, so this could mean nothing at all, but it might be worth watching to see if the Canadiens smaller players continue to have possession problems as the series progresses. Credit to Eller, by the way, for coming up with positive possession stats while starting with one offensive zone face-off compared to 17 in the defensive zone (5.6%) in Game One. One of the subplots of the game, from Montreals perspective, is that head coach Michel Therrien demoted RW Thomas Vanek from the first line to the fourth line from a point early in the second period until midway through the third period. Vanek finished the game with 18:58 of ice time, which ranked ninth among Montreal forwards. Certainly getting a Game One win on the road is favourable under any circumstances, but getting it in a game in which they were so thoroughly dominated is especially good for the Canadiens, who had to lean so heavily on their goaltending to even have a chance. Now, can they close the possession gap and try to take Game Two in Boston without requiring Price to deliver another out-of-this-world performance? The game can be heard on TSN Radio 1050 Toronto and TSN Radio 690 Montreal at 7pm et. The Maple Leafs have not claimed a victory as the visiting team since Oct. 30 in Calgary, going 0-3-3 away from Toronto since. That includes a pair of post-regulation setbacks on their current three-game swing as the Leafs dropped a shootout in Pittsburgh on Wednesday before getting dealt a 3-2 overtime defeat on Friday in Buffalo. James Reimer made 26 saves before getting beat by Christian Ehrhoff on a long wrist shot 38 seconds into the bonus frame. Phil Kessel scored the 199th goal of his career and Nikolai Kulemin also tallied. Toronto got off 10 shots in the third period and had a chance to go ahead late when James van Riemsdyk had a shorthanded breakaway with 30 seconds to play. However, Buffalos Matt DAgostini prevented van Riemsdyk from getting a shot off thanks to a diving backcheck, though van Riemsdyk was surprised nothing was called. "Usually when youre in all alone and you get your legs taken out from under you, you expect something, especially when the calls have been what they were," said van Riemsdyk of the play. That includes a season-opening 4-3 victory on Oct. 1. Reimer made 34 saves, but could give way tonight to Jonathan Bernier, who has lost both of his previous starts versus the Habs while allowing six goals on 60 shots. Montreal has lost four of its past six versus Toronto overall and had a four-game winning streak snapped last night with a 3-2 shootout setback to the Washington Capitals. Peter Budaj made 24 saves through overtime, but saw the Caps Mikhail Grabovski sneak a puck between his pads after faking a shot in the fourth round of the shootout. Tomas Plekanec, who scored and had an assist in regulation, then had his chance poke-checked away. Danny Briere also scored for the Canadiens, who are 6-1-2 in their last nine games. "I thought we were the team that dictated the game in the third (period). I thought we played well enough to win the game, so Im disappointed that we came up short, but I believe our effort was there and when you go to a shootout, you never know. We found a way to score two goals but it was not good enough," Canadiens coach Michel Therrien said. Carey Price should start tonight for the Habs and dipped below .500 in his career versus the Maple Leafs when he allowed four goals on 38 shots in the Oct. 1 loss. He is 11-12-1 lifetime in this series with a 2.69 goals against average and three shutouts. ' ' '

OAKLAND, Calif. Cheap Custom Braves Jersey . -- Stephen Curry found other ways to contribute when his shooting skills let him down a bit. Curry had career highs of 16 assists and 13 rebounds to go with 14 points, and the Golden State Warriors beat the Phoenix Suns 115-86 Friday night for their fourth straight victory. "Its very weird," Curry said. "Coming in to help the bigs I was able to snag a lot of rebounds early. Ive never really done that at any level." Curry set the tone for the Warriors largest margin of victory since a 31-point win over the depleted Los Angeles Lakers on opening night. "He was spectacular," Warriors coach Mark Jackson said. "I love the way he competed. It was impressive the way he ran the team and kept his foot on the gas pedal." Curry said it was Golden States most complete game of the season. "We didnt have any lapses," he said. "This is something we envisioned at the beginning of the season when we were all healthy." Klay Thompson scored 21 points and David Lee added 17 for the Warriors, who matched their longest winning streak of the season. Harrison Barnes and Draymond Green had 11 apiece. "It was good to get one of these wins," Lee said. "Phoenix is ahead of us in the standings. I love the way our team is playing." P.J. Tucker had 11 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Suns, who had won three straight and eight of nine. "It was total breakdown on everything," coach Jeff Hornacek said. "Thats the first egg that weve laid for the season. Youre going to have those games every once in a while. They really attacked us and we were slow to everything." Curry, who played 1 minute of the fourth quarter, had a rough shooting night and made just one of six 3-point attempts. He more than made up for it with his passing and rebounding for his third career triple-double. His 16 assists were the most by a Warriors player since Tim Hardaway had 19 on Jan. 8, 1990. "He did an unbelievable job," Lee said. "I thought he was having a decent night, but I didnt realize how good until I looked up and saw the numbers." The Suns missed their final six shots of the first half, allowing the Warriors to open a 59-40 advantage heading into the break. Lee, who added seven rebounds, had his consecutive double-double streak end at 10 games. Andrew Bogut was held to six rebounds, ending his career-best streak of 10-plus rebounds at 10 games. The Warriors opened a double-digit lead in the second quarter and were never seriously threatened after that. "Their guards did a great job," Hornacek said. "Obviously, Curry with the triple-double. Hes got a great feel for the game. Even Klay Thompson got in a lot of foul trouble and still ends up shooting 9 for 11. They did a nice job." The Suns, who last played Monday, scored at least 100 points in each of their previous eight games and were looking for their longest road winning streak in nearly three years. Instead, they were handed their worst defeat of the season. "I dont know what it was," Suns guard Eric Bledsoe said. "We were just a step slow to everything they did. They were a step faster than us and we paid the price." The Suns were held to season lows in field goal percentage (.360) and 3-point percentage (.174). The game was tied at 10 midway through the first quarter. The Warriors never trailed after Curry hit a 3-pointer with 7:44 left in the period, and took a 28-22 lead into the second. NOTES: The Warriors held an opponent under 40 per cent shooting for the 13th time, second only to the Indiana Pacers. ... The Suns were 1 of 11 from 3-point range in the first half after making 29 of their previous 62. ... The Warriors have won their first game after Christmas the past eight years and 12 of 13 overall. ... The Suns fell to 7-2 on Fridays. ... The Suns had made at least seven 3-pointers in each of the past 19 games, a franchise record. ... The Warriors had a 22-10 advantage in fast-break points. The Suns entered the game as the NBA leader, averaging 19. Jeremy Walker Jersey . -- Jonathan Vilmas season is over and his future on the football field is in doubt. Bryse Wilson Jersey . Tillman (10-5) matched a career high with nine strikeouts, giving up one run and three hits. He won for the third time this month as Baltimore improved to 38-26 away from Camden Yards. The homer was Abreus first of the month. Jose Quintana (6-10) lost his third straight start, allowing four runs and eight hits in six innings. CINCINNATI - The Diamondbacks called up right-hander Bo Schultz to help their tired bullpen on Tuesday before the second game of their series against the Cincinnati Reds. Damien Williams Jersey . Arizona has gone extra innings in two of its last three games, including a 15-inning, 2-1 win over the Reds in their series opener on Monday night. Schultz was on the opening day roster and appeared in one game before being optioned to Triple-A Reno on March 29. He went 8-7 with a 5.75 ERA in 21 starts. Manager Kirk Gibson figured to use him in a long relief role if needed. The Diamondbacks optioned outfielder Alfredo Marte to Reno. He batted .258 in 16 games with one homer and seven RBIs. Johnny Robinson Jersey . Bryce Harper? He also came into Wednesday without a long ball and hadnt driven in a run. That still leaves a big hole. You dont replace the leadership, defensive co-ordinator Billy Davis said. You just dont. Leadership is something that is earned over time. MILWAUKEE -- One slugger back, one slugger down for the Milwaukee Brewers. Outfielder Ryan Braun has been activated from the 15-day disabled list after being sidelined with a right oblique strain. He started Tuesday nights game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Third baseman Aramis Ramirez was placed on the disabled list with a strained left hamstring. He got hurt fielding a bouncer in Saturday nights 5-4 win over the Yankees. The battered Brewers lost another key player when outfielder Carlos Gomez left the Pirates game after the bottom of the fifth with lower back tightness. He was considered day-to-day. Braun was hitting .318 with six homers and 18 RBIs when he got hurt. Seeing Ramirez go down didnt add any extra urgency, Braun said. The Brewers had discussed possibly sending Braun to the minors for a rehab game Monday but weather and travel issues curtailed that plan. Instead, the slugger was back his customary No. 3 position in the batting order Tuesday. "I think hes going to be good. Hes a guy that when he sat in the past hes been pretty good rright off, so Im hoping thats what happens," manager Ron Roenicke said. Abner Haynes Jersey. Neither Roenicke nor Ramirez knew how long it might take for the veteran third baseman to get over his pulled hamstring, the first such injury of Ramirezs 16-year career. Milwaukee on Tuesday also optioned outfielder Caleb Gindl back to Triple-A Nashville and recalled utility man Elian Herrera, who was batting .359 in the minors. Herreras versatility should help if Gomez has to begin a suspension this week for his role in a benches-clearing scrum against the Pirates in April. Milwaukee expected to hear soon from the National League about Gomezs appeal. It has been a tough few days for Gomez. Milwaukees leadoff hitter was hit in the left forearm by a pitch Sunday against the Yankees; he was hit on the arm again Tuesday on a changeup by Pirates starter Gerrit Cole. For the Pirates, Starling Marte was out of the starting lineup again with a sore back, though manager Clint Hurdle said it was possible the outfielder might be available off the bench. ' ' '

The body temperature of everyone is checked.Just part of the preparations for Africas big soccer tournament. In the wake of the terrible West African Ebola outbreak, tournament organizers the Confederation of African Football were certain the Jan. 17-Feb. 8 African Cup should go ahead, confident the disease wouldnt be a threat. Now they have to make sure it wont be after dumping Morocco as host because of that countrys fears over Ebola and desire to postpone the 16-team event for up to a year.CAF refused Moroccos suggestion and chose Equatorial Guinea as a short-notice replacement. It was really CAFs only choice as no one else wanted the tournament and its thousands of travellers. When all (Equatorial) Guineans learnt that the African Nations Cup was going to be played here, everyone was afraid, we were terrified, Genoveva Abesolo Obunu, an official with Equatorial Guineas health ministry, said. But when we learnt about the steps the government was taking to prevent the sickness, the fear subsided. So the tournament will go on, kicking off this weekend in the oil-rich Central African nation halfway up the continents west coast. Montreal opened its CONCACAF Champions League campaign with a nail-biting win, beating El Salvadors C.D. FAS 1-0 at Saputo Stadium on Tuesday. Riding a six-game losing streak in Major League Soccer, the victory was a welcome change for an Impact side that has had little to celebrate this season. In last place in the league, Montreals last victory came five weeks ago. But in tournament play on Tuesday, Marco Di Vaio headed home the winner in the first half, and Montreal desperately held on to the lead in the games final minutes after a sending-off reduced the Impact to 10 men with 20 minutes to play. "It feels good to win, to have started this competition on the right foot," said defender Hassoun Camara, who was shown the red card for a studs-up challenge. "Were having trouble in the league, but theres satisfaction and relief today. Now we know that we can play well despite adversity. When theres cohesion, when everyone pulls in the same direction, good things happen." In the 72nd minute, Camara lost control of the ball and slid after it, colliding with FAS Raul Renderos. The Salvadoran midfielder, clutching his thigh, was taken off the pitch on a stretcher. Renderos was back on the field a minute later to the ire of the Montreal faithful. "I had the ball on a counter attack, and I saw the opponent coming at me strong," said Camara, who was sent off for the slide tackle. "For me, that was a 50-50 challenge. Its unfortunate. I thought the referee was a bit harsh. A few apologies on my part would have been enough." Frank Klopas thought the Costa Rican referee Hugo Cruz was harsh, too, when the Impact manager was expelled from the game just 10 minutes after his defender made the shameful walk to the dressing room. Klopas, upset about a free-kick call for FAS deep in Montreals half, was ejected for leaving his technical area. "My box is one of the smallest Ive ever seen," said Klopas, who wont be able to manage the Impact in the teams next Champions League match versus FAS on Aug. 20. "Sometimes Im walking up and down. The official warned me. But sometimes, in the heat of the moment, its very difficult to stay there. "At the same time, theres some frustration when you dont get certain calls. I have to protect my team and my players. Obviously, stepping out of box, you dont even realize it at moments." After the ejections, FAS (0-1-0) pressed for the equalizer, but could not make the most of the man advantage. Without Camara or Klopas, Montreal kept C.D. FAS at bay in the final minutes. Goalkeeper Evan Bush came up with a big save in the 82nd, and the Impact defence did the rest, clearing Bushs penalty box with resolve. With the win, Montreal (1-0-0) now leads its Group 3 opposition -- FAS and the New York Red Bulls -- by three points after just one Champions League match. New York plays its first game of the tournament at the end of August. Only the winner of the group will advance to the eight-team knockout stage. The Champions League is an annual club tournament that involves 24 teams from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. https://www.packersrookiestore.com/Packers-Ray-Nitschke-Jersey/" class="TyTxtSmlC">Ray Nitschke Super Bowl Jersey. Montreal is representing Canada in the competition after winning the Amway Canadian Championship in June. The Impact are now 6-0-2 at home in the clubs third Champions League appearance. Montreal has not conceded in its last 405 minutes of CCL play. On Tuesday, the clubs starting 11 left no doubt about Klopas intentions. With the exceptions of captain Patrice Bernier, who came on as a substitute in the second half, and Heath Pearce, who was left out of the line-up entirely, Montreals roster suggested nothing but a win would do. "Now that we have an opportunity to advance and be in this tournament, its important that we do whatever we can to advance," said Klopas. "Im not saying that the MLS season is not important, but now I know how important this tournament is for this team. "Were going to put everything that we can to try to advance. Its very important for us and the club and the organization and for our fans for us to advance." For the first time in several weeks, the Impact dominated large chunks of a game. At the interval, shots on target were 4-0 in favour of the Impact. One those was Di Vaios. The Italian striker found the back of the net in the 21st when his well-placed precision header beat FAS keeper Luis Contreras to give the Impact an early lead. Left all alone in front of goal, Di Vaio timed his run to perfection and connected with a cross from Felipe. It was more of the same for much of the second half. The Impact dictated the run of play in midfield, but failed to convert golden opportunities in the final third. Bush was untested until the 66th minute when he stopped a tight-angle shot from FAS Jonathan Joya. Montreal plays its next Champions League match against FAS in El Salvador before playing home-and-away against the Red Bulls on Sept. 27 and Oct. 22. From Santa Ana, El Salvador, FAS is one of the most popular soccer teams in the small Central American nation. Playing in the Salvadoran Premier League, the team began their 2014 campaign last Saturday with a 1-0 loss. FAS last won the CONCACAF Champions League, then called the Champions Cup, in 1979. FAS travelled to Montreal with just 14 players, and without its head coach. "Next game, we will definitely have a strong offensive 11," said FAS assistant coach Emiliano Pedrozo through a translator. "We want to play the way we played in the last minutes of this game. Going home, we will have a good result in El Salvador." Elsewhere in the Champions League on Tuesday, defending champions Cruz Azul drew 1-1 with Costa Rican side Alajuelense, while Honduras Deportivo Olimpia beat Alpha United of Guyana 1-0. Notes: In 2008-09, when still in the North American Soccer League, the Impact reached the Champions League quarter-finals. Last year, Montreal didnt make it past the group stage. à Newly acquired midfielder Dilly Duka made his first start in an Impact uniform. à FAS is the most decorated Salvadoran squad with 17 national titles. à Four other MLS clubs are competing in the Champions League: Portland Timbers, Sporting Kansas City, New York Red Bulls, and D.C. Martez Walker totaled 76 yards on nine carries. Western Kentucky failed to move the ball beyond its opponents 41-yard line with seconds to go, and the subsequent punt pinned Central Michigan at its own 20. An illegal procedure penalty pushed the ball up five yards before bedlam ensued. Rush let a pass fly from his own 25. Jesse Kroll made the initial catch, and rumbled to the WKU 30 before losing control. Deon Butler advanced the ball two more yards, then lateraled to Williams for eight more. Davis finally received the ball at the 20 and managed to outrace several tacklers before diving for the right pylon to pull CMU within 49-48. We didnt want to go overtime because we had trouble stopping them all day. Titus was hurt too. We just thought we had momentum and we were going to try and win the game. A spirited opening quarter saw Western Kentucky emerge with a 21-7 edge thanks to TD passes from Doughty to Dangerfield, German and Grant around a 22-yard connection from Rush to Davis. Doughty found Henry for 16 yards and WKU led 28-7 early in the second, but CMU responded on a 30-yard strike from Rush to Williams. A fifth touchdown pass from Doughty went to McNeal for 55 yards and a 35-14 game inside of two minutes left in the first half. Allen capped the opening 30 minutes on a one-yard run to make it 42-14. Anthony Wales burst through for a 21-yard rushing score and Western Kentucky was up by 35 in the early stages of the third quarter. I thought we kind of got a little conservative and got relaxed on offense in the second half, Doughty admitted. They did a really good job of hitting our run game up, and it was just one of those grind-out halves. And weve got to fix that going into the future because we let a few go earlier in the season doing that. Im just excited that we got the win. Central Michigan began its comeback when Davis posted his second touchdown of the contest roughly 3 1/2 minutes into the fourth -- a 12-yard strike from Rush -- then his 23-yard TD catch-and-run pulled the Chippewas to 49-28 with 8:03 to play. Williams capped a 64-yard series on the seventh play by hauling in a 10-yard pass with 3:04 to play and CMU pulled within two scores. The Chippewas defense then held Western Kentucky to a three-and-out, and a fair catch from Davis on a short punt set them up on their own 45. Four plays later, Rush and Garland combined for a 7-yard strike to make it a seven-point contest. Game Notes Wednesdays contest was the first FBS postseason game played outside of the US and Canada since the 1937 Bacardi Bowl in Havana ... The schools combined for 1,254 yards of total offense, 647 by Western Kentucky ... Wales picked up 95 yards on 14 carries ... Kroll totaled 107 yards on four catches. ' ' '

Scottsdale, AZ (SportsNetwork. https://www.cheapairforce1outlet.com/air-force-1-womens-outlet/" class="TyTxtSmlC">Air Force 1 Womens Outlet .com) - Tom Pernice, Jr. birdied the fourth playoff hole on Sunday to defeat Jay Haas and win the Charles Schwab Cup Championship. Playing the 18th hole on the Cochise Course at the Desert Mountain Club for the fourth time on the day, Pernice was able to make about a 6-foot putt for birdie in order to take down Haas, who had just made a long par putt to apply some pressure. Pernice, who held a share of the third-round lead with Kenny Perry, shot a 3- under 67, while Haas, the second-round leader, carded a 4-under 66. The duo finished regulation at 11-under-par 269. Im just honored. Its a privilege for me to be able to be out here and play and to be able to hold up this trophy is really special, Pernice said. Yesterday was a bit of a struggle and today I hung in there. Jay and I get together and we struggled a bit in the playoff, but Im thrilled to death. Perry used an eagle putt on the last hole to vault into a third-place finish at 10-under 270. Perry shot a 68 on Sunday. Bernhard Langer, who had wrapped up the season-long Charles Schwab Cup and the money title prior to playing this week, ended in a tie for fourth with Colin Montgomerie, who finished second in the race for the cup. Langer fired a 5- under 65, while Montgomerie shot a 67. The end of regulation was about as exciting as it gets. Playing in the penultimate group tied at minus-10 with Pernice, who was in the final pairing, Haas second shot on the par-5 18th found a waste area in front of the green. His next shot just barely crept onto the fringe, but Haas drained the long birdie putt to get to 11-under as he flipped his putter into the air. Pernices second shot found the back of the green well away from the hole. His putt was wide to the right and ran about five feet past the hole. Having not three-putted all week, Pernice drained it for birdie to force a playoff. Heading back to the 18th for the first playoff hole, both Pernice and Haas found the fairway with their drives. Haas put his approach shot just off the back of the green, while Pernice hit the green in two. They both two-putted for birdie to force a second playoff hole. Back on the 18th again, Pernice drove his ball well right into the waste area, where it sat down in a rut. Haas put his tee shot in the rough on the left. Pernice was forced to punch out into the fairway and his third shot was hit way to the right. Taking his second shot, Haas rolled his ball through the green and into a bunker behind the green. Pernice chipped onto the green with his fourth shot, while Haas shot out of the bunker found the green as well. Haas just missed his birdie putt for the win to the right and Pernice was able to scramble to make his par to force a third hole. Now on the par-3 17th, Pernices tee shot went off the back of the green and Haas hit his shot to within 20 feet. Pernice chipped his second shot to within four feet. Again, Haas missed his putt to the right and settled for par, and then he watched as Pernice rolled his in for a par as well. Back on the 18th one more time, both Pernice and Haas found the rough on the right. Like in regulation, Haas hit into the waste area in front of the green, while Pernice hit into a bunker to the left. Haas barely made it out of the waste area again and his ball held up in the rough. Pernices next shot got to within six feet and Haas chip out of the rough was still about 20 feet short. Haas drained his par putt to put the pressure on Pernice, but Pernice knocked his in for birdie and the victory was his. It was certainly back-and-forth and neither one of us played terrific golf, but somehow I managed to make some pars and a couple birdies in there, Haas said. Hats off to Tom, hes wonderful around the greens. I knew he was going to make a four there. I had it twice in front of the green there in those rocks and I feel like Im just going to zing it out of there and I chunked it both times. In regulation, Pernice made birdies on one and six on the front nine and made the turn at minus-2 for the day. It was an up-and-down back nine for Pernice as he made birdies on 15, 16 and 18 to go along with bogeys on 14 and 17. Haas made the turn at minus-2 as well after making birdies on two, six and seven as well as a bogey on four. Haas stayed strong on the back nine as he made a birdie on 11. Following six pars in a row from 12, Haas made his big birdie on the last, which led to a playoff. San Jose (2-3-4) stretched its unbeaten streak at home to three matches despite losing winger Shea Salinas to a straight red card after a studs-up tackle on Dallas defender Zach Loyd just before halftime. FC Dallas (5-5-1) slid to its fourth straight loss despite a stinging 20-yard free-kick goal by Michel in the 76th minute. Cato burst in behind the Dallas defence to give San Jose a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute, set free by a long pass forward by goalkeepeer Jon Busch and a redirecting header from centre back Clarence Goodson. https://www.cheapairforce1outlet.com/air-force-1-all-white-outlet/" class="TyTxtSmlC">Air Force 1 All White Outlet. Victor Ulloa banged a shot off the post in the 57th minute, and Busch scrambled across his goalmouth to deliver a body block on Blas Perezs rebound try. Matt Hedges, Fabian Castillo and rookie Tesho Akindele all missed wide for Dallas in the final 11 minutes of regulation. ' ' '

ST. Air Max 270 Ultramarine Solar Red . PAUL, Minn. -- The Chicago Blackhawks were chasing for much of the game, and the Minnesota Wild just kept generating chance after chance to score. Once overtime arrived, though, all Patrick Kane needed was one friendly bounce to finish off another opponent. Kane scored on a backhand at 9:42 of the extra period to lift the Blackhawks to a 2-1 victory over the Wild in Game 6 to clinch their second-round Western Conference series on Tuesday night, the fourth playoff overtime winner of his career. "Hes a special player, and guys have that instinct, have that knack of finding pucks, wanting to be out there, wanting to score," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said. Kris Versteeg scored 1:58 into the game and Corey Crawford came up with tough save after tough save among his 34 stops for the Blackhawks, who advanced to the Western Conference finals to meet either Anaheim or Los Angeles. The Ducks lead the other semifinal series 3-2, with the Kings hosting Game 6 on Wednesday night. Since 2009, the first post-season appearance for Kane and co-star Jonathan Toews, the Blackhawks are 14-0 in Games 5 and 6 of playoff series that were tied after Game 4. Theyre also 12-2 in games with a chance to win a series, including 6-1 on the road. "We probably didnt play our best tonight, but just finding a way to win is something this team has done for many years now," Kane said. Erik Haula scored his fourth goal of the playoffs and Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 25 shots for the Wild. Minnesota pushed a frenetic pace for much of the night but paid for all those missed prime opportunities when a simple dump-in behind the net by Brent Seabrook took a strange bounce off the glass back toward the slot. The puck slid past Peter Regin as he was tied up with a defenceman. Kane snagged it, deked once and flipped it into top of the net. He said he wasnt sure right away if the puck was in. But he soon found out. "It seems like it was not our luck tonight," said Bryzgalov, who nearly matched Crawford save for save. "We hit some posts in the third period and they got like the first goal after some crazy two bounces." The Wild kept up the pressure on Crawford that they created in the middle of the game, but whether it was the goalies pads, blocker or a crossbar in the way, the pucks didnt go in. "We really believe that we were capable of doing more than just winning this game," a dejected Wild coach Mike Yeo said, adding: "Our guys did everything that we asked and they laid it on the line, and thats what hurts." The Blackhawks scored first in six of their previous 11 games in these playoffs and won each time, their only victory without taking the first lead coming in Game 5 against the Wild. Versteeg put them right back in control just 1:58 in on his 28th birthday, when he outmuscled Keith Ballard for possession in the corner and flipped an bad-angle shot that bounced awkwardly among the bodies around the crease, hit the back of Clayton Stoners leg and skidded past Bryzgalov. The Wild got their break -- or, rather, breakaway -- soon after the first intermission when Haula sped to snag a pass by Matt Cooke that banked perfectly off the boards and he snapped the puck on the rush past Crawfords glove. Each side brought an aggressive game plan, with defencemen pinching down often and all kinds of rushes developing both ways, particularly in that breathless penalty-free second period that had the home team buzzing so much that Quenneville used his timeout. Crawford made two saves apiece on a pair of breakaways by Justin Fontaine. Cody McCormick tried a spin move to fend off Duncan Keith and nearly got the puck past Crawford, who used his left pad to stop it. "On the road this was probably one of my bigger games of the playoffs so far," Crawford said. "This team seems to enjoy that position where we have a chance to eliminate and move on to the next series. We had a chance to do that and we stuck with it all game." NOTES: Kane moved into the NHL lead with 35 post-season goals since 2009. ... The Wild had goalie Darcy Kuemper dressed for action for the first time since he was removed in the third period of Game 6 of the first round series against Colorado because of what the team labeled an upper body injury. ... The rookie right-hander rewarded Terry Collins confidence with the strongest outing of his young career. DeGrom struck out 11 in seven shutout innings and also delivered a table-setting hit from the No. 8 spot in the batting order as the New York Mets tagged All-Star Julio Teheran and the Atlanta Braves 8-3 Tuesday night. "Showed you that he can certainly compete in this league," Collins praised. The shaggy-haired deGrom (2-5) pitched the Mets to their third win in a row, and the franchises 4,000th victory since starting out as an expansion team in 1962. Atlanta has lost three straight. The lanky 26-year-old scattered seven hits, walked none and matched a career best for strikeouts. "Feel I had my best start," deGrom said. "Controlling every pitch I needed to." DeGrom said he got most of his strikeouts on "elevated fastballs and sinkers," though he felt his most effective pitch was his curveball. "Knows what hes got to do to get a K when he needs it, and just goes out and does it," Collins said. The Mets set a team record at Citi Field with 18 hits. Curtis Granderson kept up his resurgence with a leadoff home run and Lucas Duda doubled twice, singled and drew two walks. Daniel Murphy also doubled twice and third baseman David Wright added two hits and made a nifty catch. DeGroms single led to a three-run burst in the second inning, and he exited as a 6-for-22 (.273) hitter in the majors, part of the reason Collins felt comfortable in tweaking his lineup. "Dont really care where I bat. More focused on the pitching," deGrom said. Said Collins: "Way too much made of the pitcher hitting eighth. Ill need to call La Russa and tell him he created a huge monster." Hall of Fame manager Tony La Russa holds the record for most times batting his pitcher eighth in a season -- few other skippers have followed his lead since. Teheran (8-6) gave up a career-high 11 hits after shutting down the Mets in his previous outing, part of a Braves sweep last week. He lasted just 3 1-3 innnings, matching the shortest of his 53 starts in the majors. Air Max 270 React Beige. "One of those nights that everybody has and today was mine," he said. "I feel like everything I threw, they got a good swing." Teheran was picked Sunday for his first NL All-Star team, but the 23-year-old righty was very hittable from the get-go. Collins noted before the game that the ball was flying during batting practice -- Granderson proved him correct, lining Teherans second pitch off the facade of the second deck in right field. "Its just one of those starts," Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said. "The young man, hes bound to have a bad one every now and then. If you go out there 35 times, youre going to have a bad one, and today was one of his bad ones." Granderson, rebounding nicely from a slow start, hit his fourth home run in seven games. On Monday night, his tying homer in the eighth inning sent the Mets to an 11-inning win over Atlanta. The shot also gave the Mets a home run in eight straight games at Citi Field, matching a team record for the stadium that opened in 2009. The Mets led 5-0 in the third. Atlanta put runners at the corners with two outs in the sixth, but Wright made a diving, backhanded catch on Jason Heywards liner to end the inning. Three Mets relievers closed out the win. They did it while winds whipped debris all over the field as a storm blew into the ballpark. Freddie Freeman hit a two-out, two-run single in the ninth. NOTES: Granderson hit his third leadoff homer of the year and 27th of his career. Mets RHP Dillon Gee (strained right lat) comes off the disabled list to start Wednesday night against RHP Ervin Santana. ... Teheran is set to start Sunday against the Cubs at Wrigley Field, meaning he wont pitch in the All-Star game Tuesday at Minnesota. ... Andrelton Simmons went hitless for Atlanta. He had six straight multihit games coming in. ... This was the sixth time -- all in the last month -- that Collins has batted his pitcher eighth. DeGrom was the first pitcher to get a hit in that slot. Collins hit Eric Young Jr. in the ninth spot, saying it created a double leadoff position. ' ' '
