PHILADELPHIA -- It has been rare for Philadelphias heralded starting staff to hear boos this season. Malcolm Butler Jersey . The Phillies fans let Roy Oswalt hear their displeasure Friday night. Oswalt had one of his worst outings of the season in 5 2-3 subpar innings, and John Buck hit a grand slam for Florida as the struggling Marlins beat the Phillies 6-5. "It was pretty much one bad pitch," Oswalt said, referring to Bucks homer. "(It was) a slider that didnt do what I wanted it to do." Oswalt (6- matched his career high by allowing 12 hits, as every Marlins position player recorded at least one off the Philadelphia right-hander. He was lifted after giving up six runs -- five earned -- while striking out two and walking one in 5 2-3 innings. Oswalt was loudly booed in the sixth in a way that was reminiscent of the days when the Phillies lost often at old Veterans Stadium. Manager Charlie Manuel was cheered when he emerged from the dugout to lift Oswalt, but the pitcher was given encouraging cheers on his way back to the dugout. "He made some good pitches but the guys jumped on it. I cant explain it," Florida manager Jack McKeon said. "The way weve been hitting we had a hell of a night because we havent been hitting that well." Oswalt missed 37 games this season with lower back inflammation, but didnt blame his back for not having the same zip on his fastball. "It was a little down tonight but I dont worry about that," Oswalt said of his velocity. "I saw 91-92 (mph), theres no big difference. Im good." Said Manuel, "He had trouble getting ahead of hitters. He was crisp but had a hard time getting the ball inside." Ryan Howard homered for the Phillies (83-46), who have lost two straight but still maintained a comfortable six-game lead over the Braves in the NL East with Atlantas 6-0 loss to the New York Mets on Friday. After Greg Dobbs, Gaby Sanchez and Mike Cameron led off the sixth with three straight singles, Buck hit an opposite-field grand slam that landed in the first row in right field for his 16th homer of the season to put Florida ahead 6-1. "It feels good to be able to come through in a situation like that," Buck said. "Against the Phillies, bases loaded, Roy Oswalt, thats the kind of scenario youll write in a fantasy book." Clay Hensley (2-5) allowed three runs on three hits in 5 2-3 innings and Dobbs had four hits -- including two doubles -- to help Florida win for just the fourth time in 21 games and snap a five-game losing streak in Philadelphia. "It wasnt anything (Oswalt) was doing, just kind of the work and preparation Ive been doing," Dobbs said of his success Friday. "Hes historically one of the best pitchers in the game. That staff is full of them, really. If youre going to pick a time to go after a pitch, you dont want to miss. You want to make the most of that. Its a lot fun competing against those guys because theyre the best." Florida (59-72) improved to 4-9 overall against the Phillies and 2-5 at Citizens Bank Park this season. The Marlins were swept in four games during their last trip to Philadelphia, June 14-16, when they scored a total of six runs in the four contests. "We keep it entertaining, no question about that, every night," McKeon said. "Thank God we were able to hold on." The Marlins had scored the go-ahead run in the fourth when Mike Stanton reached on Dobbs double to make it 2-1. Florida took a 1-0 lead in the first when Emilio Bonifacio scored on Logan Morrisons double-play groundout. Bonifacio was on second after singling and stealing second. Valdezs solo homer in the third was the Phillies first hit and tied the game at 1. Philadelphia didnt get its second hit until Polancos two-out single in the sixth. Chase Utley followed with a double down the left-field line to put runners on second and third for Howard. Hensley was lifted for left-handed reliever Mike Dunn and Howard launched the relievers second pitch deep to right to pull Philadelphia to 6-4. "I wouldve liked the opportunity to finish the inning, but its not my call," Hensley said. The three-run homer gave Howard 99 RBIs for the season, leaving him one shy of reaching 100 for the sixth straight season. Howard averaged 136 RBIs in the previous five years. Notes: The Phillies and Marlins postponed their game scheduled for 7:05 Saturday night due to Hurricane Irene and will make it up on Thursday, Sept. 15 in Philadelphia at a time to be determined. The clubs are still scheduled to play what was supposed to be the first game of a day-night doubleheader at 1:05 Saturday. ... Philadelphia RHP David Herndon pitched a 1 1-3 scoreless innings of relief to extend his career-best scoreless streak to 13 innings. ... Pence went 2 for 4 and has hit safely in 20 of his 24 games with Philadelphia. ... The Phillies crowd of 45,523 was their 191st straight sellout. Philadelphia RHP Roy Halladay (15-5, 2.56) is scheduled to start for the Phillies against Florida RHP Anibal Sanchez (7-6, 4.01) at 1:05 Saturday afternoon. In nine career starts at Citizens Bank Park, Sanchez is 1-5 with a 7.04 ERA and the Marlins are 1-8 in those games. Halladay, who pitched a perfect game against the Marlins last May, is winless in two starts against Florida this season (0-1, 3.00). Tom Brady Jersey . As the leagues spring meetings wrapped up Wednesday with Commissioner Roger Goodell saying expansion of the playoffs next season is possible, sportsmanship -- and lack thereof -- was the prime topic. "Were going to clean the game up on the field," said Fisher, co-chairman of the influential competition committee. "The in-your-face taunting, those types of things, the language. Its all in the (rule) book. Its all under unsportsmanlike conduct. Theres no change in our rule. Were going to enforce the current rule." That includes abusive and racist language. "It includes everything, yes," Fisher said with emphasis. He noted that everyone is fed up when a lack of sportsmanship occurs: owners, coaches, fans, players. "The NCAA is hoping for us to do something about it and weve got to take the lead," Fisher said, "and were going to do that." The Miami Dolphins were plagued by a bullying scandal last season after tackle Jonathan Martin left the team. NFL investigators found that guard Richie Incognito and two teammates engaged in persistent harassment directed at Martin, another offensive lineman and an assistant trainer. Incognito was suspended for the final eight games of the season and no longer is with the Dolphins. Taunting penalties also were up last year, Fisher said, from "nine to 12 or 13." "In the past, taunting, sportsmanship was in the back of the book under points of emphasis," he said. "It is now in the front of the book. It falls in our book right after all the statistical things which were good about our game last year. It is now a front-of-the-book issue. And what we want to do is we want to be able to put it back in the back of the book." While the owners voted or tabled a dozen rules or bylaw changes, expanding the playoffs from 12 to 14 teams -- one in each conference -- was discussed. Goodell is optimistic thats coming, and he will discuss it with the players union April 8. A vote could come as early as the owners May meeting in Atlanta. Could two extra wild-card games be implemented for 2014? "Its nnot out of the question," Goodell said. Alan Branch Patriots Jersey. "We have more work. I wouldnt rule it out, but I wouldnt say thats the direction were heading. "I think theres a tremendous amount of interest in this, possibly even to the point of support. But there also are things we still want to make sure we do right." He believes expanded playoffs would make late-season division and wild-card races more compelling. And two more post-season games would increase TV revenues. Also on Wednesday, the owners: -- Approved experimentation with extra-point kicks from the 20-yard line for two weeks in the preseason, but implementing longer PATs for the regular season has been tabled. -- Adopted proposals to extend the length of the goalposts 5 feet to 35 feet to better determine if kicks are good; to no longer stop the clock on sacks; and to allow video reviews on plays with a recovery of a loose ball on the field even though the play had been whistled dead. -- Rejected proposals to move kickoffs to the 40-yard line; to allow more than one player to be placed on injured reserve, then return to the roster during the season; to subject personal foul penalties to video review; to permit coaches to challenge any officiating decision except on scoring plays or turnovers, which automatically are reviewed; and to eliminate the first preseason cutdown to 75 players. -- Tabled proposals to raise the number of active players for games not played on a Sunday or Monday, except for opening week, from 46 to 49; to raise the practice squad maximum from eight to 10 players; to eliminate overtime in preseason games; to allow trades after the Super Bowl and before the new league year begins in March; to permit teams to test at their facilities 10 players who attended the NFL combine; to place fixed cameras on the goal lines, sidelines and end lines to aid replay reviews; and to call pass interference in the area 1 yard or less from the line of scrimmage, where it does not apply now. On Tuesday, the owners approved allowing referees to consult with the officiating department in New York on replay challenges, and they voted to ban blockers from rolling up on the side of the legs of a defender. The league also barred players from dunking the ball over the crossbar in celebration. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' '

The Dallas forwards scored in a shootout in their first game in Boston since the Stanley Cup finals to lift the Stars to a 3-2 win over the slumping Bruins on Tuesday night. "I have to say its a special game," Seguin said. "I knew where this was on the calendar. I knew my first time in Boston." Bruins coach Claude Julien brushed off a question about whether the loss hurt more because Seguin and Peverley played such big roles. "I dont care about that. Give it a break," he said. "Im mad because we lost." Seguin scored on Dallas second shot, tying the shootout 1-1 after Patrice Bergeron scored on Bostons first attempt. Then Peverley put the puck through Tuukka Rasks pads on the Stars fourth and final shot. "I think I was more nervous for this game than I was for any of the Stanley Cup finals," Peverley said. "It was emotional for me, but it was fun to be here." The Bruins lost those finals in six games to the Chicago Blackhawks. Now they have lost four of five games after winning four in a row. "The first 10 minutes were good and then we got back to some of our old habits," Julien said. "Eventually, when you play that way, you find ways to lose hockey games, and thats what were doing right now." It was the second straight shootout win for the Stars. On Sunday, Jamie Benn scored the winner in a 4-3 victory over Ottawa. Vernon Fiddler tied the game for Dallas on a penalty shot with 2:34 left in the third period after he was tripped from behind by Dennis Seidenberg. It erased a lead Boston took with 8:21 remaining when Milan Lucic tipped in Dougie Hamiltons shot from the blue line. The other goals came in the first period with Benn scoring for Dallas at 3:38, and Torey Krug tying it at 4:16. Seguin, the second pick in the 2010 draft, and Peverley were sent to Dallas after last season in aa trade that brought forwards Loui Eriksson and Reilly Smith to Boston. Marc-Andre Fleury Penguins Jersey. Seguin, who leads the Stars in scoring, was booed several times when he touched the puck and was taunted with the chant, "Say-gin, Say-gin." "I am sure that there are mixed feelings out there," he said. "I can only go out there and play hockey." It was the first meeting between the teams since Dec. 31, 2011, when Dallas won 4-2. The clubs hadnt faced off in Boston since Feb. 3, 2011 -- a 6-3 Bruins victory. On the penalty shot that forced overtime, Fiddler skated up the left side, cut across the crease and lifted a backhander into the upper right corner of the net past Rask. Lucics seventh goal matched his total for last season. Stationed in front of the net, with teammate Jarome Iginla and two Stars, Lucic redirected Hamiltons shot past goalie Kari Lehtonen. Eriksson returned after sitting out five games due to a concussion. He missed his shootout attempt on Lehtonen. "Ive been shooting a lot of pucks on him, and hes a great goalie," Eriksson said. "Hes a big goalie, takes up a lot of the net, so you have to find a good shot against him or make a good move, and I didnt, so it was bad." Alex Chiasson missed the next shot for Dallas, and David Krejci failed for Boston. Then Peverley, who was booed when his name was announced as the final shooter, came through. "I knew it was going to be a big night for (Seguin) and Rich both. Sometimes you dont know exactly how theyre going to react to it," Dallas coach Lindy Ruff said. "Both Rich and him scoring in the shootout, I think it was great for both of those players." NOTES: Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli watched the game from a luxury box. Dublin farewelled Brian ODriscoll in style last weekend. Terrell Suggs Ravens Jersey . The great man sweetened the occasion with a magic effort against Italy, tarnished later only by his rendition of Barry Manilows "Copacabana" in the changing room. While it was a fitting celebration of ODriscoll, theres symmetry in him bowing out of international rugby on Saturday in a likely Six Nations title decider in Paris. Thats where he launched himself on the rugby worlds consciousness in 2000 with a hat trick of tries in Irelands first win there over France in 28 years. To that point, he was an Irish star with 10 tests. Marked for great things as a teen with humility masking a ferocious competitiveness, he made his Ireland debut on the 1999 summer tour of Australia at age 20. Man-of-the-match awards in Irelands first two tour games made him a must-pick opposite Wallabies Dan Herbert and Tim Horan. ODriscoll held his own, and again in that years World Cup, where Ireland exited the group stage, embarrassed by Argentina. That was Ireland rugby then, a graveyard of dreams for more than a decade. But ODriscoll gave the side a world-class talent beside hooker Keith Wood, and a back who could create and score tries and return hope and thrills to Lansdowne Road. It took a 50-point hiding from England in the 2000 Six Nations opener for then-coach Warren Gatland to introduce the likes of John Hayes, Simon Easterby, Peter Stringer and Ronan OGara, who became stars of the new millennium as Irelands fortunes prospered. When France was overcome 27-25, Ireland had three wins in the championship for the first time in 15 years. ODriscolls was the first hat trick by an Irish player in the championship in 47 years. "It was lucky that I was in the right place at the right time," he said with a modesty that remains. ODriscoll has gone on to rack up a world record 140 tests, 139 of them starts, a record 132 for Ireland, the most Six Nations matches (64) and tries (26). He captained Ireland for 10 years to 2012 a record 83 times, and has 47 test tries, a record 46 for Ireland. He played in four World Cups without success, and only one win from four British and Irish Lions tours. Ireland also has won the Six Nations only once, when he scored tries in four of their wins in the 2009 Grand Slam. A second title beckons on Saturday. The statistics reward lasting class. But his legacy interests him more. ODriscoll woke up to the requirements of being professional during his first Lions tour in 2001, a tour de force for him. Hes responsible for revolutionizing Ireland, said captain Paul OConnell, in the team since 2002. "Hes spread confidence across the whole setup," OConnell said. "I grew up watching Ireland in the 90s and maybe that confidence wasnt there when an Irish team took the field. Any team that takes the field with Brian in it always feels they have a chance of winning. "When Brian finishes, that confidence will remain in the Irish setup, because a few players have moulded themselves on him a little bit and realized this is what you need to be to be the all-round rugby player." The 35-year-old ODriscoll has also remodeled himself. He has only one try since the 2011 World Cup, and no longer accelerates through gaps. But where his leg speed has declined, his mind has only sharpened. Ask Italy, victims last weekend. ODriscolls sleight of hand and awareness set up three of Irelands first four tries. He believes his caps records will be broken, and has been grooming potential successors Robbie Henshaw and Darren Cave. Ireland has an abundance of midfield talent, he said. In giving advice, "Hes been generous to a fault," Ireland coach Joe Schmidt said. Where ODriscoll ranks among the great centres is another debate. Some in Ireland still consider him second to Mike Gibson, who retired in 1979, also after 15 years, as the world caps record-holder. No matter. ODriscolls greatness is set. Corey Perry and captain Ryan Getzlaf each had a goal and two assists, and the Anaheim Ducks snapped their four-game home skid with a 6-2 victory over the Florida Panthers on Sunday night. "We had the puck and didnt turn it over too much. We played with the puck and found each other. Everybody was moving," said Perry, who notched his team-leading 37th goal of the season to give the Ducks a 5-2 lead at the 11:56 mark of the second period. Getzlaf agreed. "We got back to doing what we need to be doing," said Getzlaf, who is second in the NHL in scoring with 79 points. "We find a way to get open and get shots. Tonight, we clicked better." Teemu Selanne, Jakob Silfverberg, Kyle Palmieri and Perry scored during Anaheims four-goal second period. "I feel re-energized," said Selanne, who recently has been teamed with Getzlaf and Perry. "Today we were really clicking and reading each other well. The more time we spend together, the more youre going to learn from one another. It was fun to play with those guys. Theyre so dangerous and talented, so you have to be ready." Patrick Maroon also scored an early goal before leaving the game with a lower-body injury for the Ducks, who pulled within one point of San Jose atop the Pacific Division standings. Selanne had a goal and an assist, while Jonas Hiller made 28 saves for Anaheim, which is four points behind Western Conference-leading St. Louis with 11 games left. Jimmy Hayes and Tomas Fleischmann scored in the second period for the Panthers, who lost the last three games on their West Coast road trip by a combined 12-3.. Aldrick Robinson Ravens Jersey. Former Anaheim goalie Dan Ellis stopped 34 shots in Floridas seventh loss in nine games overall. The Ducks had lost two straight and six of eight while slipping out of first place in the NHL standings, but they got back to their usual dominant selves during the second period. After Maroon scored his first career power-play goal in the first period against the NHLs worst penalty-killing team, Selanne scored his 684th career goal just 15 seconds into the second. Silfverberg scored an unassisted short-handed goal less than four minutes later, Fleischmanns eighth goal of the season midway through the second trimmed the Ducks lead to 3-2, but Palmieri and Perry scored 1:01 apart later in the period. Perrys 37 goals are second most in the NHL. Getzlaf got his 30th goal early in the third period, and new defenceman Stephane Robidas had an assist for his first point with the Ducks. Florida goalie Dan Ellis has given up 11 goals in his last two appearances. "Its a good hockey team," Ellis said. "They are one of the top teams in the West and the West is arguably stronger than the East. Theyve had a little adversity lately, but you had to be ready for a big push out of them. They are desperate for playoff position, to get home ice. They played us hard. I needed to make some key saves at key times and I didnt." NOTES: Anaheims next eight games are against opponents currently out of the playoff picture. CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Bengals didnt wait long or look far for their next offensive co-ordinator, promoting Hue Jackson on Thursday shortly after Jay Gruden was introduced as the next head coach in Washington. Kyle Juszczyk Jersey . Jackson has brought his career full-circle in Cincinnati, where he coached the wide receivers from 2004-06. He was Oaklands head coach in 2011 and pushed for the trade that brought quarterback Carson Palmer from Cincinnati at midseason in exchange for a first-round and second-round draft pick. The Raiders finished 8-8 and failed to reach the playoffs that season, resulting in Jacksons firing. He returned to Cincinnati as an assistant, and coached the running backs last season. The Bengals won the AFC North with an 11-5 mark but lost their opening playoff game for the third straight season, tying the NFL record. Andy Dalton had three second-half turnovers during a 27-10 loss to San Diego at Paul Brown Stadium. Gruden co-ordinated the Bengals West Coast offence each of the last three seasons and helped Dalton and receiver A.J. Green develop into one of the best young pass-and-catch tandems in the league. He was hired as the Redskins head coach on Thursday. "We are blessed to have a staff that allows us to promote from within," coach Marvin Lewis said. "It keeps some of the continuity with our offensive team, yet we get new direction and fire from an aggressive and innovative coaching mind. Hues expertise in all aspects of football and coaching is very wide." The Bengals finished the season with the 10th-ranked offence in the NFL. The offence flourished at home and often struggled on the road. Cincinnati won all eight home games during the regular season, tying the club record. Dalton set club records for touchdown passes and yards passing last season, but his struggles in the playoffs continued. In three playoff games, he has thrown only one touchdown pass with four interceptions. Jackson also has been the offensive co-ordinator for the Redskins, Falcons and Raiders. Defensive co-ordinator Mike Zimmer also is interviewing for head coaching jobs. Cincinnatis defence finished No. 3 in the league last season. Pinch-hitter Paul Konerko then smacked a single up the middle, but Perkins struck out Jose Abreu and Adam Dunn to end it and punctuated the final swing and miss with a big pump of his left arm.HOUSTON - Ryan Malletts wait to be a starter is over. After toiling in the shadow of Tom Brady for three seasons in New England and backing up Ryan Fitzpatrick for nine games this year, coach Bill OBrien said Wednesday that the Houston Texans will bench Fitzpatrick and start Mallett at Cleveland on Nov. 16.Ive been waiting four years for this, Mallett said. Now its my time to have an opportunity to show what I can do.OBrien made the announcement as the Texans prepare to take time off during their bye week. He lauded Fitzpatrick for his hard work, but said the team needed a change.I might be wrong, OBrien said of the move, but I think this might be the thing that helps our team. The coach made it clear that this isnt a one-game experiment and that Mallett will be Houstons starter for the rest of the season. Were going to give Ryan a shot to play, OBrien said. Were going to make sure that hes given a good opportunity to lead this football team.Fitzpatrick joined the team in the off-season after the Texans traded Matt Schaub and he started the first nine games. But he struggled to move the offence as the team fell to 4-5.He wasnt happy with the move.I didnt like it, he said. I dont really agree with it, but I respect the (heck) out of coach OBrien. The Texans traded for Mallett on Aug. 31, reuniting him with OBrien, who was the offensive co-ordinator for the Patriots when he was a rookie in 2011. Mallett didnt see much action in New England, and didnt take a single snap in two of his three seasons there. He appeared in four games in 2012, but completed just one of four passes for 17 yards with an interception.OBrien insisted that he isnt concerned about Malletts lack of experience and said hes been impressed with Malletts development and maturity since joining the Texans.Youve got to start somewhere, he said when questioned about his inexperience. Its his turn to get a shot and lets see how he does.Mallett was a third-round draft pick after throwing for 7,493 yards with 62 touchdowns and 19 interceptions in his career at Arrkansas. Matt Schaub Jersey. He was an eager student in his time spent with Brady, soaking up everything he could from the nine-time Pro Bowler.I learned how to be a professional, Mallett said. How to work with your teammates, how to communicate. Its not a one guy thing. Its all 11 guys on offence doing what we want to do to be successful. You cant have one guy not doing the right thing and 10 other guys doing it, because that can hurt the offence.Despite his strong ties to Brady, the Texans are careful not to place too much pressure on Mallett by expecting him to be something hes not.We are not asking him to go out there and be Tom Brady, OBrien said. We are asking him to go out there and be Ryan Mallett and be the best Ryan Mallett he can be, which is trying to go out there and be the best quarterback he can be for our team.Mallett thinks some people might underestimate him, but thats OK with him.My football IQ is a lot higher than a lot of people give me credit for, he said. I like that. If you think Im a dumb player, fine. My advantage there.Though OBrien hopes this move helps turn things around for the offence, he is also looking for everyone on the unit to improve after the break to help Mallett be successful. The first-year coach also noted that he and the rest of the coaching staff need to get better, too.He doesnt expect a lot of changes with Mallett under centre, but did note one of his deficiencies.I wouldnt call him a speed demon, OBrien said with a laugh. Hes 6-foot-7, hes a pocket passer. So theres certainly some things that were going to have to do that are a little bit different, but at the end of the day our system is what it is.Receiver Andre Johnson said he feels comfortable with both quarterbacks, but otherwise didnt have much to say about the move. The team has talked often about needing a spark on an offence that is 28th in the league in yards passing a game. Could this be that spark?Well see what happens, Johnson said.___Online:AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' '

The Ottawa Senators will be out for payback on Tuesday, as they visit the Philadelphia Flyers for an Eastern Conference clash at Wells Fargo Center. Air Jordan 7 Retro Marvin The Martian . The Senators were rolling on a season-best three-game winning streak when Philadelphia visited them in Canadas capital city last Tuesday. The Flyers left Ottawa with a 5-0 rout, as Steve Mason stopped all 24 shots that were sent his way. Mason recorded his 20th career whitewash and first in a Flyers sweater. He distinguished himself as the second Philadelphia goaltender to record a shutout in Ottawa. John Vanbiesbrouck was the only other one to accomplish the feat with 36 saves in a 5-0 decision on Jan. 18, 1999. Jakub Voracek tallied twice to help the Flyers win for the third time in the last four meetings with Ottawa. Senators goaltender Craig Anderson yielded all five goals in the loss, falling to 7-4-1 with a 2.89 goals against average in his career against the Flyers. Phillys win in Ottawa last week marked the clubs second straight victory, but the Flyers had a three-game winning streak halted with Fridays 3-2 shootout loss in Winnipeg. The Flyers were denied their first four-game winning streak since last season despite taking a 2-1 edge over the Jets into the third period. Mason turned aside 3-of-5 attempts in the shootout, but was the hard-luck loser with 36 stops through regulation and OT. "I think they believe they can win games," said Philadelphia head coach Craig Berube. "They play like it, but I still think we need to push more. We had the lead tonight in the third and we should have went and pushed more in the third period. Whether we sat back or whether were tired, I dont know. I just think we can be more aggressive." Scott Hartnell and Wayne Simmonds tallied for Philadelphia, which managed to come away with five points on a three-game road trip. The Senators rebounded from last weeks loss to the Flyers with a 4-2 win over Boston on Friday, but Ottawa then fell by a 4-1 score against Columbus in the finale of a four-game homestand on Sunday. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 29 shots to help the Blue Jackets subdue the Senators. Erik Karlsson scored late in Sundays game for the Senators, while Anderson gave up all four goals on 22 shots in the loss. "We had some chances but just couldnt find the back of the net," said Anderson. "We got one and started to get some pressure, but it was too late at that point." Im going to largely ignore his contributions on the power play because its not in any dispute that Ovechkin is great with the man advantage and can make a difference even when he doesnt score.NASHVILLE -- Dany Heatley had a goal and an assist, Darcy Kuemper made 23 saves for his first career shutout, and the Minnesota Wild beat the Nashville Predators 4-0 on Sunday night. Landover, MD (SportsNetwork. Mint Blue White Nike Roshe Run Womens Shoes .com) - Kai Forbath kicked a 26-yard field goal with five seconds remaining to lift the Washington Redskins to a 27-24 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday. The Redskins snapped a six-game losing streak and dealt a significant blow to the Eagles playoff hopes. Philadelphia has lost three straight games since a Thanksgiving win at Dallas gave it sole possession of first place in the NFC East. A win at home by the Cowboys against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday will eliminate the Eagles from postseason contention. The Eagles (9-6) have been prone to turning the ball over this season and cornerback Bashaud Breeland intercepted Mark Sanchezs pass at the Washington 42-yard line inside the two- minute warning. Robert Griffin III then threw a short pass to Pierre Garcon, who spun out of a defenders grasp for a 23-yard gain. A roughing the passer penalty tacked on 15 more yards and the Redskins added one more first down, forcing Philadelphia to use each of its three timeouts before Forbath nailed the go-ahead kick. The Eagles, who had erased a 24-14 deficit, were still alive with three seconds remaining because Forbath drilled Trey Burton with the kickoff at midfield. Cornerback David Amerson knocked down Sanchezs pass in the end zone to end the game. Griffin completed 16-of-23 passes for 220 yards with one interception and Darrel Young had two 1-yard touchdown runs in the third quarter for Washington (4-11). Sanchez was 37- of-50 for 374 yards and threw two touchdown passes to Riley Cooper. Tight end Zach Ertz set an Eagles franchise record with 15 catches for a career-high 115 yards. Final Score: San Diego 38, San Francisco 35 (OT) Santa Clara, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Philip Rivers arm got the San Diego Chargers to overtime. Eric Weddles arm helped them win the game once they got there. Rivers led two touchdown drives in the final nine minutes of regulation and Weddle forced a fumble that led to Nick Novaks winning 40-yard field goal in overtime, as the Chargers rallied to beat the San Francisco 49ers 38-35 in a thriller on Saturday night. San Diego trailed by 21 points at halftime and by 14 in the fourth quarter before Rivers touchdown passes to Antonio Gates and Malcom Floyd, the last one coming with 29 seconds left on the clock. Weddle, the veteran safety, stripped wide receiver Quinton Patton on a 20-yard end-around -- just San Franciscos second play in overtime -- and Novak split the uprights for the win. Rivers passed for 356 yards with four touchdowns and San Diego (9-6) overcame his three interceptions, including two that led to 14 San Francisco points in the first half. The playoff-hopeful Chargers stopped a two-game losing streak, winning without injured stars Ryan Mathews and Keenan Allen. Despite 355 rushing yards, the 49ers (7- suffered their fourth straight loss, guaranteeing them their first non-winning season under Jim Harbaugh. Colin Kaepernick had the second-longest touchdown run by a quarterback in NFL history, a 90-yarder late in the third quarter that restored San Franciscos 14-point lead. It came two just two plays after his fumble was recovered in the end zone by Corey Liuget for a San Diego touchdown. Kaepernick passed for 114 yards with a touchdown to Bruce Ellington and rushed for 151 on seven carries. Frank Gore added 158 yards on 26 rushes, including a 52-yard touchdown run less than two minutes into the game. THURSDAY, DECEMBER 18 Final Score: Jacksonville 21, Tennessee 13 Jacksonville, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Todmans 62-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter highlighted the Jacksonville Jaguars 21-13 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night. Blake Bortles completed 13-of-26 passes for 115 yards and one touchdown for the Jaguars, who scored 21 straight points after falling behind 10-0. Todman carried the ball five times for 71 yards for Jacksonville (3-12), which avenged a 16-14 loss to these Titans on Oct. 12. Toby Gerhart rushed for 53 yards and a score on 12 carries. Tennessee turned back to Charlie Whitehurst due to injuries and he connected on 24-of-35 passes for 287 yards and one touchdown. Leon Washington caught seven passes for 62 yards and a score. Bishop Sankey carried the ball 14 times for 44 yards for the Titans (2-13), who have lost nine in a row. Nike Free 5.0 Orange/White Womens V4 Running Shoes UK . NEW ORLEANS -- Anthony Davis and Brian Roberts proved a pair of second-year players can carry the young Pelicans to a victory over a veteran team with playoff aspirations. Cheap NBA Jerseys . Davis had 27 points and 10 rebounds, Roberts scored 17 of his 19 points in the second half, and New Orleans beat the Atlanta Hawks 105-100 on Wednesday night. "Im always telling our guys, Everybody has written you guys off, so what do you have to lose? Just go out there and play. Ive got your back either way," Pelicans coach Monty Williams said. Paul Millsap had 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Hawks, who have lost two in a row. DeMarre Carroll added 22 points. "Roberts made some big shots," said Hawks guard Jeff Teague, who had 11 points and 13 assists. "We just got stagnant on defence. Our intensity on defence just wasnt there. We didnt play with attention to detail in the last couple of plays." Davis and Roberts made Atlanta pay, each scoring six points in the final 3:40. Davis has been stellar all season, and his performance against Atlanta marked the 16th time hes had at least 20 points and 10 rebounds in the same game. Roberts only recently moved into a starting role at point guard because of Jrue Holidays stress fracture in his right shin. Roberts made only one of five shots in the first half before turning in one of the best second halves of his young career. "Hes growing up and he understands when to make plays," Davis said. Roberts did have one glaring error when he had a turnover that led to a score during a late 7-0 Atlanta run that trimmed the Hawks 10-point deficit to three with a little less than a minute left. Roberts made up for it with a running, off-balance floater on New Orleans next possession to make it 100-95 with 20 seconds to go. "That was a tough turnover right there," Roberts said. "I just try to move on and focus on the next play. ... I was going to get it back and I was able to make that floater and finish them off." Eric Gordon added 18 points and Anthony Morrow 16 for the Pelicans, who have won six of their last nine games. Atlanta was in position to win when Mike Scotts 3-pointer capped an 8-0 run and gave the Hawks an 83-76 lead with 7:45 to play, but the Pelicans then ran off nine straight points to regain the lead. "Thats a tough loss for our group," Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said, referring to his clubs blown fourth-quarter lead. "Our execution needs to improve when were in that situation." The Hawks led for the entire third quarter, taking their largest lead at 54-47 on Carrolls 3 12 seconds into the period. Scott hit four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points for the Hawks, while Lou Williams had 11 points. The teams stayed within single digits of each other for nearly the entire game. The largest lead for either team was 10 for New Orleans after Davis free throws late in the fourth quarter. That lead lasted all of 8 seconds before Scott hit a 3. Atlanta had 14 3s on 30 attempts from deep, with Carroll hitting four. The Hawks had one stretch in which they hit nine straight 3-point attempts -- their last four of the second quarter and first five of the third. The Pelicans, however, scored 20 points on free throws, while Atlanta had only 10. New Orleans also outrebounded Atlanta 50-38. NOTES: The Pelicans have scheduled a ceremony on Thursday to rename the New Orleans Arena as the Smoothie King Center. Pelicans officials confirmed to The Associated Press and several other media outlets on Wednesday afternoon that they had reached a 10-year naming rights agreement with the Louisiana-based company. ... An ugly win in a physical April game sure feels a lot better when its meaningful. Just ask the Minnesota Timberwolves. Rudy Gay had 28 points and nine rebounds to help the Grizzlies withstand a weak start to the fourth quarter and hand the Timberwolves their 11th straight loss, 91-84 on Tuesday night. "Weve been through the bottom, being in Minnesotas position, knowing youre not going to be in the playoffs," Gay said. "We dont expect anything to happen. The Grizzlies, who have eight straight wins over the Wolves, were 1 for 15 from the field in the final quarter until Gays short jumper gave them the lead back at 82-81. That was 13 seconds after a questioned charging foul was called on Anthony Tolliver that wiped out a layup and a potential three-point play. Tolliver and the Timberwolves were livid. "That one play changed everything, and you guys know what play Im talking about," said J.J. Barea, who scored a season-high 28 points on 5-for-9 shooting from 3-point range to go with eight assists and five rebounds. The Wolves have lost 27 straight April games, dating to 2009. They have three more tries this season to stop that streak. "Im disappointed for the guys. They played their tails off," said coach Rick Adelman, whose praise has been rare lately. Zach Randolph added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who moved within two games of the Los Angeles Clippers for fourth place in the Western Conference and crept closer toward clinching a playoff spot. Mike Conley added 16 points, eight assists and five rebounds. "Theyre competitors. Theyre trying to get somewhere," coach Lionel Hollins said. Gay added a putback and a dagger of a 3-pointer to make it 87-82, and out of a timeout Barea hoisted an off-target, off-balance 3-pointer that missed the rim. Wayne Ellingtons reverse layup brought the Wolves back within three with 1:19 left, but that was as close as they came. "We needed this win. We knew these teams that were playing against have nothing to lose," Conley said. "Theyre giving everything theyve got, and weve got to makke sure we match their energy every night. Wholesale Jerseys. " Marc Gasol played after suffering a bone bruise in his left knee the last game but had only four points on 2-for-8 shooting for the Grizzlies, who have won 11 of their last 15 games. "Its going to be a long playoffs and for us to clinch early would be a lot better for us," Gay said. "We can start sitting guys, maybe, depending on what Coach wants to do, but it would be good to have the option." The Wolves have no choice. Barea, the Puerto Rican point guard whose first season in Minnesota has been marred by a slew of injuries after helping the Dallas Mavericks win the NBA championship last summer, is about their only true scorer left on court with Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio and Luke Ridnour all out. Including the fateful game against the Los Angeles Lakers on March 9 when Rubios left knee buckled in the closing seconds, the Wolves are 4-19 in their last 23 games. Barea flipped a Rubio-like running bank shot high off the glass to close the first half and put the Wolves up 56-55. He has started the last eight games and is averaging 17.2 points and 9.8 assists in his last 10 games. Hes 24 for 50 from 3-point range in that span. "Im used to playing 20 or 25 minutes max, but Im enjoying it," Barea said. The Grizzlies came within two points of their season high for the first quarter, taking a 32-22 lead on O.J. Mayos off-balance 3-pointer from the corner. This, though, was progress for the Wolves, who fell behind 32-7 at Indiana on Monday during a 111-88 defeat by the Pacers. Nikola Pekovic had 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Wolves, who went 25 for 30 from the foul line to stay in it. But the Grizzlies played their usual suffocating defence, getting 11 steals and turning 18 Wolves turnovers into 24 points. "We just gutted it out. Thats the best thing you can say," Hollins said. NOTES: Marreese Speights had 10 of his 12 points in the first quarter for the Grizzlies, who are 33-17 since acquiring him. ... The Wolves are 1-26 in their last 27 April home games, dating to 2006.... Pekovic continues to be bothered by bone spurs in his right ankle, and the team has considered shutting him down for the final week of the season. "He kept telling me he was fine. Hopefully he can hold up in the last three," Adelman said after the game. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' '

TORONTO - Minnesota Twins right-hander Mike Pelfrey has undergone elbow surgery and will be sidelined for at least two months. Nike Air Max 90 Saldi . Pelfrey, who had Tommy John surgery on the same elbow in 2012, had scar tissue removed Tuesday to relieve pressure on a nerve. The problem had been causing tingling in his fingers since spring training and led to reduced velocity on his pitches. The surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews, who also operated on Pelfrey in 2012. A nine-year veteran who has also pitched for the New York Mets, Pelfrey is 0-3 with a 7.99 ERA in five starts this season. Pelfrey has been sidelined since May 2 with a strained left groin, and his velocity dropped even more while he was pitching at Triple-A on a rehab assignment. That led to tests, which revealed the nerve issue. The post-season, Pierce said repeatedly, is no time to panic. And the Heat, apparently, are nothing to fear. "Were not scared of them," Pierce said. Joe Johnson scored 19 points, Andray Blatche had career playoff highs of 15 points and 10 rebounds, and the Brooklyn Nets handed the Heat their first loss this post-season, 104-90 on Saturday night in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Pierce scored 14 points, Deron Williams and Kevin Garnett bounced back from awful offensive efforts, and the Nets withstood James 16-point first quarter and held him to two baskets over the final three quarters. "Tonight was the type of urgency were going to need for the rest of the series," Pierce said. Brooklyn, which swept Miami in the regular season, can tie the series with a victory at home Monday night in Game 4. "I think this is a must-win coming up Monday," Garnett said. "If we want to give ourselves any type of room ... any type of chance, I think that weve definitely got to take care of home." James scored 28 points for the Heat, who hadnt even faced a fourth-quarter deficit in these playoffs before having their eight-game winning streak in the post-season snapped. It was their first loss since Game 5 of the NBA Finals. The two-time defending champions were having an easy path to another finals, winning their last four games by double digits. But the Nets shook off the Heats sizzling start, then held them to 33 points over the middle two quarters to take control. "Ive been part of a lot of series and understand that the series is never won in two games or in three games," James said. "And you move onto the next one and you learn from the previous one how you can get better." Mirza Teletovic and Shaun Livingston each scored 12 points for the Nets in their first home post-season victory ever against the Heat. Teletovic made four of Brooklyns 15 3-pointers. Williams, 0 for 9 iin Game 2, shot just 3 for 11 but finished with nine points and 11 assists. New Balance 574 bambini. Garnett, just 2 for 10 for four total points in Miami, shot 5 of 6 for 10 points and seven rebounds. Dwyane Wade scored 20 points and James grabbed eight rebounds, but his night fell well short of what it could have been after his ferocious first quarter. He made a free throw to bring Miami to 59-56 in the third quarter, but Teletovic made a 3-pointer, followed by baskets by Blatche, Johnson and Livingston to make it 68-56. Teletovic made two more 3s and Williams knocked down another before the end of the quarter, which ended with the Nets ahead 77-63. Teletovic opened the fourth with another 3, and Alan Anderson hit a pair later in the period while also getting in a skirmish with Ray Allen that led to double technical fouls. The Nets held Allen to two baskets after he hurt them in both games in Miami. The Nets shot 53 per cent from the field, 60 per cent from behind the arc, and outrebounded the Heat 43-27. Brooklyn outscored Miami 53-41 in the second half, making 20 of 33 shots. "To sum it up, they outplayed us. They outplayed us, particularly in that whole second half," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. Williams ended his slump with the games first basket, but Miami made eight of its first 11 shots, including one by James while Pierce was trying to wrap him up and was called for a flagrant foul. James was 6 of 7 in the period, and the Nets were lucky to be down only 30-29 when Livingston threw in a 36-footer just before the buzzer. James then took just one shot in the second, a missed 3-pointer, and the Nets pulled ahead late in the period and took a 51-49 lead into halftime. Notes: The Nets improved to just 2-10 in the post-season against the Heat, who swept them in the 2005 first round and beat them in five games in the 2006 Eastern Conference semifinals. ... Kerry wants to answer your emails at cmonref@tsn.ca. @kfraserthecall do you think reducing carcillo suspension was right?? I sure dont agree with bettman!! — david grosnick (@dgrosni) June 3, 2014 David:As a man that wears the "stripes" yourself, I am certain you endorse the following statement contained in the Leagues press release following Commissioner Bettmans ruling on the Daniel Carcillo appeal: "The National Hockey League does not and will not, under any circumstances, tolerate or condone the abuse, physical or otherwise, of our on-ice officials. The strict and proper enforcement of Rule 40, therefore, plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of the game by maintaining a safe and respectful working environment for our officials." From that release I point to the phrase, "The strict and proper enforcement of Rule 40" as a foundation in rendering a fair verdict in this matter. As such, I personally agree with the Commissioners thoughtful and well laid out decision to revise the initial rule application and relative category that was determined by the game officials from 40.3 (Category ll, not less than ten games) to 40.4 (Category lll not less than three games). For the complete Commissioners opinion, please click here. I maintained a public position from the outset of this incident that a violation under the definition of rule 40.4 (Category lll) had been committed by Daniel Carcillo as he attempted to free himself from the grasp of Linesman Scott Driscoll in ann emotionally charged moment. Reggie Wayne Patriots Jersey. . Through the testimony provided by all parties at the appeal hearing the following statement from the Commissioners opinion is most pertinent to his final determination: "Here, Messrs. Carcillo and Driscoll, as well as the NHLPA, agree that he Players application of physical force was solely for the purpose of getting free of Linesman Driscoll. That conclusion is supported by my review of the video footage and by the fact that there was no history of bad blood that would suggest that the Player bore any personal animus against the Linesman that might motivate his actions. I thus conclude that the application of physical force was "solely for the purpose of getting free" of the Official." The agreement by Driscoll in this statement, with regard to Carcillos "purpose", is an important admission of fact in the appeal process and to derail any potential ill feelings from the officiating fraternity that they are not adequately being protected by the League. This, coupled with the fact that Commissioner Bettman recognized Carcillos actions were not "accidental" and more serious than a "push or shove" to properly calibrate Carcillos suspension to six games should satisfy all parties and maintain the strict and proper enforcement of rule 40. By revising this offence to Category lll the suspension could have ranged from three to nine games. With everything taken into account, I support the Commissioners decision to reduce the initial 10-game suspension of Daniel Carcillo to a meaningful six games under the revised category. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' '

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Penguins were glad to be back at Consol Energy Center after their longest road trip in three years. Adidas Kengät Halvalla . Recently, though, theyve felt right at home against the Washington Capitals regardless of where they play. Marc-Andre Fleury made 32 saves for his fifth shutout of the season, leading Pittsburgh to a 2-0 victory over Washington on Tuesday night. Jussi Jokinen and Sidney Crosby scored for the Penguins, who swept the teams home-and series one night after beating the Capitals 3-2 in Washington. Pittsburgh has beaten its longtime rivals a franchise-record eight straight times. "Every time we play them, its pretty intense," said Fleury, who has 28 career shutouts. "Its always a close game and a hard-fought game, so its nice to get the W." The Penguins have also won three in a row and picked up at least a point in eight of their last 10 games. Pittsburgh was at home for the second time since the end of the Olympic break, having travelled more than 6,000 miles in playing five games over three time zones the previous 10 days. Jaroslav Halak stopped 32 shots in his third start for Washington. Alexander Ovechkin was held without a point for the fourth consecutive game as the Capitals lost for the fourth time in their last five. Fleury tied his career high for shutouts in a season while winning his sixth straight start against the Capitals, whom the Penguins swept the season series from for the second year in a row. "We created a lot more chances than last game and more shots, and that was something we wanted to improve on," Crosby said. "But defensively we were pretty good." Pittsburgh widened its lead in the Eastern Conference to three points over the idle Boston Bruins and also increased its Metropolitan Division bulge to 16 points over the New York Rangers. Unlike Fleury, Halak was played both games on consecutive nights between the teams. Acquired in a trade from the Buffalo Sabres last week, Halaks first three starts with the Capitals have come over a four-day span. Jokinen beat him at 16:41 of the first. Left unchecked by Capitals defenceman Mike Green while skating through the slot, Jokinen offered a deft re-direct of Matt Niskanens shot from the right point for his 17th goal of the season -- but first since Jan. 30. Evgeni Malkin earned the second assist on the play, extending his assists streak to five games. Crosby scored for the second straight night against Halak, this time with a low wrist shot to the stick side with 5:48 left in the game after skating swiftly down the right wing. Halak said he was surprised by the shot -- he was expecting Crosby to pass it to Chris Kunitz. "I just tried to look to pass as long as I could," Crosby said, "just to see if hed bite and try to hold him there." Lee Stempniak had the only assist on the goal in his home debut for Penguins after he and fellow forward Marcel Goc were acquired in trade-deadline day deals last week. Eleven minutes into the second period, the Capitals came the closest to scoring when rookie Evgeny Kuznetsov flipped a shot from just to the right of Fleury that clanged off the post before deflecting off of Fleurys left pad as he sprawled out. "If we tie the game there," Ovechkin said, "maybe its a little bit different game." Largely untested and forced to make just 12 saves through two periods, Fleury faced the brunt of the Washington onslaught during the third. "The first period, they controlled the game," Ovechkin said. "The last 30 minutes, we played our game, got the puck deep, started to cycle. Maybe we were just a little bit tired, maybe we were just a little sleepy. We just werent ready for the first period. The Capitals No.2 NHL power play had two opportunities over the games final 12 minutes, plus an extended 6-on-5 with Halak pulled over the final 90 seconds. But Fleury denied chances by Mark Chimera, Troy Brouwer and Marcus Johansson for some of his best third-period saves. "The first and second, there werent too many shots," Fleury said. "The third was crazy -- but it was fun though. You get a good sweat and get a win." Washington dropped into 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings and dropped three points out of the final playoff spot. "(The desperation level) needs to be a little more from everybody," Halak said. "Now, its do-or-die for us." Rose keyed a seven-point burst to open the fourth period, assisting on three straight field goals. John Lucas III hit a three-pointer and Taj Gibson scored twice, opening up an 11-point lead for Chicago. Canadas freestyle ski team will have a decidedly different look this season. The likes of Justine Dufour-Lapointe, Dara Howell and Mikael Kingsbury will be there, but there was one glaring absence on the squad unveiled Wednesday. Two-time Olympic moguls gold medallist Alex Bilodeau retired after the last World Cup season, leaving a big hole on the team as it begins the long road to the 2018 Games in South Korea. Bilodeau became the first Canadian to win Olympic gold on home soil with his memorable victory at the 2010 Games in Vancouver, and he repeated the performance in Sochi earlier this year. Kingsbury, who battled Bilodeau for the last few years and finished second in Russia this winter, says he will miss competing against his rival. "The first couple World Cups, Im going to miss somebody to look up to and to learn from. Hes been a great athlete," Kingsbury said on a conference call. "He pushed me. Since I was very young, he was my role model." Kingsbury is a three-time overall World Cup champion, and while he and Bilodeau were friends away from the hill, they were fierce opponents on it. "Im going to miss him in a way, but in another way he was one of the strongest competitors to have," said Kinsbury, a native of Deux Montagnes, Que. "Im going to try to have new motivation, to continue to push and work hard to stay ranked first in the world." Kingsbury, who turns 22 next week, said Bilodeaus retirement doesnt open any doors because hes already had a lot of success in his young career. "He was the star for sure. He won the Olympics in Vancouver -- first (Canadian) gold medallist to win on home soil -- and Sochi," Kingsbury said. "He won the two days that he needed to win, but at the same time I dont think its my turn to shine because I won the Crystal Globe and he was there, I won the world championship and he was there. Nike Free 5.0 Flyknit. "At the Olympics he did his run. I tried everything I could to win but he had the run that he needed and he totally deserved it." Like the rest of the freestyle ski team, Kingsburys focus is primed on training for the coming season, with thoughts of the 2018 Olympics in South Korea also lingering. "I just want to continue what Ive been doing, and not do more because Alex is not there," he said. "If he would have continued I would have been super happy and still would have worked hard to win the gold medal in 2018. Thats my next plan. "Its four years -- four years is long. Im going to be ready for 2018 but theres many things to come." Dufour-Lapointe, who won gold in Sochi in womens moguls, said she will take it one year at a time as she starts to build towards the next Games. "Personally I feel like Im still on a high from the Olympics," said the 20-year-old from Montreal. "What keeps me going is I feel like I can still get better and theres room for improvement." Also headlining the Canadian team for the 2014-15 season is Howell, who topped the podium in womens slopestyle in Sochi, Chloe Dufour-Lapointe -- the silver medallist in moguls behind her younger sister at the Games -- and Kim Lamarre, who finished third in slopestyle. The other Sochi medallist on this years team is Mike Riddle, who took silver in halfpipe. The rest of the Canadian freestyle team for the upcoming year includes: aerial skiers Travis Gerrits, Olivier Rochon, Jean-Christophe Andre and Sabrina Guerin; halfpipe skiers Mike Riddle, Justin Dorey, Simon dArtois, Rosalind Groenewoud, Keltie Hansen, Megan Gunning; slopestyle skiers Alex Beaulieu-Marchand, Alex Bellemare, Evan McEachran and Kaya Turski; and moguls skiers Marc-Antoine Gagnon, Philippe Marquis, Maxime Dufour-Lapointe and Audrey Robichaud. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' '

TORONTO -- Ryerson University is taking action against its mens hockey team for violating the student-athlete code of conduct. Scarpe New Balance 574 . The university announced on Monday that it had suspended the team for seven days for "the consumption of alcohol" on their recent pre-season road trip to New Jersey. Ryerson also announced that head coach Graham Wise has been suspended for four games. "The University takes incidents of misbehaviour seriously and student-athletes and coaches are well aware of the behaviour expected of them," Ryerson said in a release. The team will forfeit their next two games -- against the University of Ontario Institute of Technology on Thursday, and against Queens on Saturday -- before returning to the ice on Nov. 15 against the Royal Military College of Canada. Nike Air Max 90 Saldi . Top Picks: While the Bruins arent a high-flying team, but because of the strength of their top lines, they present a lot of players worth taking relatively early in drafts. Nike Free Run 2 Prezzo . New Zealand brushed aside England 26-7 to win the event and reclaim top spot in the overall standings. The All Blacks, the defending World Series champions, won their third tournament this season in style, running four tries past England to claim their 11th Cup championship in Hong Kong and first since 2011. http://www.saldinikescarpe.it/nike-air-max-90.html . The former Detroit Red Wings captain was named to the Order of Hockey in Canada on Wednesday along with former womens national team captain France St-Louis and legendary university coach Clare Drake. With the Toronto Raptors celebrating their 20th anniversary season in 2014-15, Josh Lewenberg and TSN.ca take a look back at the franchises first two decades with weekly Top Five lists, counting down the standout and signature players and moments in team history. Today, we look back at the best trades and the general managers who made them. 1. Acquired the draft rights to Vince Carter and cash from Golden State for the draft rights to Antawn Jamison - June 24, 1998 (Glen Grunwald) The most important trade in Raptors history was merely a formality. Yes, Toronto selected Jamison, who would switch hats with his college teammate on draft night, but it was Carter the Raptors had targeted all along. Of the two, Jamison actually had the better body of work at UNC and was known to be the Warriors preference, selecting fifth overall. So Grunwald, drafting for the first time as general manager, nabbed the forward with the fourth pick, immediately swapping him for some cash. Sold after watching his pre-draft workouts, Grunwald saw something in Carter and his instincts didnt deceive him. While Jamison would go on to have a very good 16-year career, Carter was the franchise-altering star the Raptors desperately needed coming off a horrendous season. 2. Acquired Kyle Lowry from Houston for Gary Forbes and a first-round pick - July 11, 2012 (Bryan Colangelo) Although Lowry had been on Colangelos radar for some time - with this trade, or a variation of it on the table weeks before the trigger was ultimately pulled - the Rockets point guard was his consolation prize. To think what might have been if the Raptors courtship of the deteriorating Steve Nash had come to fruition? What condition would the organization be in now and where might Lowrys career have taken him? The trade that never was - a vetoed deal to send him to the Knicks 17 months later - also deserves mention here. In the end, Lowrys move to Toronto worked out better than anyone could have imagined and with the Rockets retooling at the time, the price was minimal. Houston would end up repackaging Torontos pick to Oklahoma City in the James Harden deal and the Thunder selected centre Steven Adams 12th overall in a weak 2013 draft. 3. Acquired Antonio Davis from Indiana for the draft rights to Jonathan Bender - Aug. 1, 1999 (Grunwald) Giving up a first-round pick, let alone a lottery selection, is always a calculated risk but Toronto was playing with found money in 1999. In a three-team trade youll find further down on this list, the Raptors gave up a young Chauncey Billups and acquired a future first-round pick from Denver, a pick that turned out to be the fifth overall selection. Coming off their best season to date, Carters rookie year, the Raptors needed immediate help and Pacers veteran Antonio Davis fit the bill. Davis would become an all-star in Toronto and help lead the team to three straight playoff appearances, while the oft-injured Bender - a high schooler chosen by Indiana with the traded pick - never came close to reaching his potential before his career was cut short. 4. Acquired Amir Johnson and Sonny Weems from Milwaukee for Carlos Delfino and Roko Ukic - Aug. 18, 2009 (Colangelo) Contending for championships with a veteran roster, particularly in the frontcourt, the Pistons gave up on a young Amir Johnson, the NBAs last player to be drafted straight out of high school. In the summer of 2009, they dumped him on the Bucks, another team with playoff aspirations, who repackaged him a couple months later hoping to get some immediate help in veteran Carlos Delfino. The Raptors had retained Delfinos rights when he left the league to play in Russia but he was not likely to suit up for them again. For basically nothing, Colangelo was happy to scoop up a 22-year-old Johnson, with very little milage on his tires despite four years in the association. Weems became a serviceable rotation player but the prize was Johnson, who has been a fixture in Torontos lineup for six seasons and counting. 5. Acquired Greivis Vasquez, Patrick Patterson, Chuck Hayes and John Salmons from Sacramento for Rudy Gay, Quincy Acy and Aaron Gray - Dec. 9, 2013 (Masai Ujiri) There was no wizardry at work here. As Ujiri likes to say, he and his staff had no idea how this leap of faith would pan out. They certainly had no idea it would produce the type of results it has. Some believe it was a first step in the tank-job that never was. Regardless, Rudy Gay had to go if the Raptors were going to break out of no mans land and head in either direction. With Gay gone, the team - up until recently - came together in a way that cant be quantified, Lowry and DeMar DeRozan blossomed into stars and the loot they got back in return proved valuable, primarily Vasquez and Patterson, who inked new deals this summer. The Raptors have a regular season record of 69-36 since the trade. Best of the rest: 6. Acquired Charles Oakley and Sean Marks from New York for Marcus Camby - June 25, 1998 (Grunwald) Just barely missed the top five. Oak arrived at the perfect time, bringing the veteran leadership and toughness Grunwald was looking to add to his young core. Camby become a defensive staple for New York and helped lead them to a Finals appearance. Mutually beneficiial deal. New Balance 574 Saldi. 7. Acquired Michael Williams, Zeljko Rebraca and two first-round picks in a three-team trade with Denver and Minnesota for Chauncey Billups and the rights to Tyson Wheeler - Jan. 21, 1999 (Grunwald) Why is this so high? Well, Billups - coming off a rough rookie season - wasnt exactly Mr. Big Shot yet and those first-rounders the Raptors got in return turned out to be pretty useful. The Nuggets pick - fifth overall in 1999 - was swapped for Antonio Davis, while Minnesotas produced Morris Peterson 21st overall in 2000. 8. Acquired Doug Christie and Herb Williams from New York for Willie Anderson and Victor Alexandar - Feb. 18, 1996 (Isiah Thomas) Christie, a Raptor for almost five seasons, helped bridge the gap between the Stoudamire (Thomas) and Carter (Grunwald) eras. An under-the-radar acquisition that produced one of the franchises most reliable, all-around performers. 9. Acquired Jalen Rose, Donyell Marshall and Lonny Baxter from Chicago for Antonio Davis, Jerome Williams and Chris Jefferies - Dec. 1, 2003 (Grunwald) Grunwald had hoped the addition of Rose and Marshall could rejuvenate his sinking team and keep Carter happy in Toronto. Although things turned out differently, the two vets had productive, albeit brief Raptor tenures while Davis and JYD were expendable nearing the end of their careers. 10. Acquired Marcus Camby, Steve Novak, Quentin Richardson, a first and two second-round picks from New York for Andrea Bargnani - July 10, 2013 (Ujiri) The inevitable divorce. Still hard to believe Ujiri was able to snag three picks for the disgruntled Bargnani. Will be years before we know the value of them and can truly evaluate this deal. But, for now, getting basically anything for the former first-overall pick is cause for celebration. 11. Acquired Lou Williams and Lucas Nogueira from Atlanta for John Salmons and a second-round pick - June 20, 2014 (Ujiri) Still early but so far so good. Williams is in pre-injury form once again and should contend for a Sixth Man of the Year award before hitting free agency while the Hawks cut Salmons immediately to save some cash. 12. Acquired T.J. Ford from Milwaukee for Charlie Villanueva - June 30, 2006 (Colangelo) Colangelo got the point guard he coveted in Ford, an important piece in Torontos first division title, while selling high on Charlie-Vs rookie season. 13. Acquired Kevin Willis from Houston for Roy Rogers and two first-round picks - June 9, 1998 (Grunwald) Like Oakley, Willis helped change the culture of a team on the rise, mentoring Carter and McGrady in their early years. Nothing came of the picks they gave up on the deal - Rockets selected Bryce Drew and Mirsad Turkcan. 14. Acquired Keon Clark, Tracy Murray and Mamadou Ndiaye from Denver for Kevin Willis, Garth Joseph, Alexandar Radojevic and a second-round pick - Jan. 12, 2001 (Grunwald) With the 38-year-old Willis serving his purpose, Grunwald exchanged him for a dynamic centre 13 years younger in Clark and two-time Raptor Tracy Murray. 15. Acquired Antonio Davis from New York for Jalen Rose and a first-round pick - Feb. 3, 2006 (Wayne Embry) Taking over for the recently dismissed Rob Babcock, Wayne Embry pulled the trigger on a move that would free up significant cap space for soon-to-be new GM Bryan Colangelo. Rose still had a full year on his deal while Davis contract - originally given to him by the Raptors - was set to expire. 16. Acquired Rasho Nesterovic from San Antonio for Eric Williams, Matt Bonner and a second-round pick - June 21, 2006 (Colangelo) Colangelos second trade turned out to be a big step in his express rebuild. Nesterovic started 73 games for the division-winning Raptors club that year. Doubt anyone was sorry to see Eric Williams go. 17. Acquired Alvin Williams, Kenny Anderson, Gary Trent, two firsts and one second-round pick from Portland for Damon Stoudamire, Walt Williams and Carlos Rogers - Feb. 13, 1998 (Grunwald) Inheriting the GM gig from Thomas, Grunwald made the best of a tricky situation after Stoudamire forced his hand in demanding a trade. Although Anderson refused to wear a Raptors jersey, he was immediately exchanged for an asset in Billups, while Alvin Williams blossomed into one of the franchises most important players. 18. Acquired Mike James from Houston for Rafer Alston - Oct. 4, 2005 (Rob Babcock) Babcocks only appearance on this list. Although it was mostly for naught - aside from earning him a big contract with Minnesota - James lone campaign in Toronto was one of the best single season performances in team history. 19. Acquired Leandro Barbosa and Dwayne Jones from Phoenix for Hedo Turkoglu - July 14, 2010 (Colangelo) Ball. 20. Acquired Kris Humphries and Robert Whaley from Utah for Rafael Araujo - June 8, 2006 (Colangelo) Colangelos first trade. He could have dumped Hoffa for Kim Kardashian and it would have made this list. Jack Armstrongs picks: 1. Vince Carter for Antawn Jamison 2. Kyle Lowry for Gary Forbes and a first-rounder 3. Antonio Davis for Jonathan Bender 4. Greivis Vasquez, Patrick Patterson, Chuck Hayes and John Salmons for Rudy Gay, Quincy Acy and Aaron Gray 5.
