Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork. http://www.nygiantsfanatic.com/c-23-giants-justin-pugh-jersey.aspx .com) - David Pastrnak scored the first two goals of his career to lead the Boston Bruins in a 3-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday. Chris Kelly had the other goal and Tuukka Rask stopped 24 shots for the Bruins, who have won their past three. Claude Giroux scored the only goal of the game for the Flyers, who had won their previous two. Steve Mason started the game in net for Philadelphia, but left seven minutes into the first period with a right leg injury. He stopped all five shots he faced while Ray Emery allowed three goals on 13 shots in relief. Final Score: Nashville 3, Minnesota 1 St. Paul, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Pekka Rinne came up with 36 saves while Calle Jarnkrok and Colin Wilson scored in the third period and Nashville took out Minnesota by a 3-1 count at Xcel Energy Center. Mike Fisher added an early score for the Predators, who reclaimed the top spot in the Western Conference with 60 points, two ahead of idle Anaheim. Charlie Coyle potted the lone goal for the Wild, who have dropped four in a row and three straight on home ice. Niklas Backstrom made 24 stops in the loss. Final Score: Colorado 4, Dallas 3 Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Matt Duchene picked up the deciding goal early in the third period and added an assist, as Colorado escaped with a 4-3 victory over Dallas at Pepsi Center. Erik Johnson, John Mitchell and Nathan MacKinnon lit the lamp in the second period for the Avalanche, who have won three in a row and seven of 10 overall. Semyon Varlamov snagged the win thanks to a 37-save performance. Brett Ritchie, Colton Sceviour and Ales Hemsky scored for the Stars, losers of four straight since winning four in a row. Kari Lehtonen stopped 26 shots in defeat. Final Score: Pittsburgh 2, Montreal 1 (OT) Montreal, QC (SportsNetwork.com) - Sidney Crosby capped two shifts of pressure with the game-winner on a power play with 1:19 remaining in overtime and the Pittsburgh Penguins claimed a 2-1 decision over the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre. Crosby had two separate chances to win it earlier as the clock ticked down to two minutes remaining in the extra session. Habs goaltender Carey Price flashed his right pad on the first chance and seconds later, Crosby actually beat Price through the pads from in close, but Montreals Alexei Emelin came to the rescue and swept the puck out of danger. The hosts were hit with a bench minor penalty with 1:51 left in OT, and Evgeni Malkin slipped a pass into the right circle for Crosbys successful one-timer which ended the contest. Malkin provided the other tally for the Penguins, who snapped a two-game skid and remained a point behind the first- place Islanders in the Metropolitan Division. New York maintained the top spot with a 4-1 win in Columbus earlier in the evening. Final Score: Washington 3, Detroit 1 Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Washington Capitals got goals from Troy Brouwer, John Carlson and Joel Ward in a 3-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday. Braden Holtby made 26 saves in his 18th consecutive start for the Capitals, who extended their point streak to seven games (5-0-2). Jonathan Ericsson scored the lone goal for the Red Wings, who had a two-game winning streak snapped. Detroit lost goaltender Jimmy Howard to a groin injury just 1:53 into the game. With the Red Wings killing a penalty, Howard left the puck behind the net for his defense to play. Instead, Brouwer got the puck and quickly scored on a wraparound as Howard scrambled to get back into position. Howard hurt his groin while extending his left leg awkwardly trying to cover the post. He was taken off the ice on a stretcher. Prior to the game, Howard was named to the 2015 NHL All-Star game. Petr Mrazek stopped 12-of-14 shots in relief. Final Score: NY Islanders 5, Columbus 2 Columbus, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Matt Martin, Anders Lee and Brian Strait all had second-period goals to lift the New York Islanders to a 5-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Strait added an assist on Kyle Okposos marker in the third period, with Nikolay Kulemin also lighting the lamp to help the Islanders improve to 4-2-0 on their current seven-game road trip. New York outshot the Blue Jackets by a 40-18 margin, with Chad Johnson needing to record just 16 saves to collect the victory. As a result, the Isles stayed a point up on Pittsburgh for first place in the Metropolitan Division, after the Pens nipped the Habs in OT. Sergei Bobrovsky made 35 saves in Columbus second 5-2 setback in as many nights, having fallen to Toronto by the same score on Friday. Jack Johnson and Nick Foligno each registered goals in defeat. Final Score: Ottawa 5, Arizona 1 Glendale, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Craig Anderson made 31 saves, and the Ottawa Senators scored five unanswered goals to top the Arizona Coyotes, 5-1, on Saturday. After Mikkel Boedker put the Coyotes on top early in the game, Milan Michalek and Clarke MacArthur scored first-period goals to give the Senators the lead. Ottawa also got goals from Mike Hoffman, Cody Ceci and David Legwand to end its three-game losing streak. Mike Smith allowed all five Senators goals on 33 shots as the Coyotes lost for the second time in three games. Final Score: St. Louis 5, Carolina 4 (SO) St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - T.J. Oshie scored the lone goal in the shootout to lift the St. Louis Blues to a 5-4 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday. Oshie, the Blues first shooter, patiently skated through the slot, got Cam Ward to bite on a fake and lifted a shot into the top of the net. Jake Allen made Oshies effort stand as he stopped all three shooters, including a slick glove save on Alexander Semin to end the game. Vladimir Tarasenko, Jaden Schwartz, Alexander Steen and Patrik Berglund all scored in regulation for the Blues, who won their fourth straight game. Allen stopped 19-of-20 shots in relief of Brian Elliott, who allowed three goals on 10 shots during the first period. Jeff Skinner and Victor Rask each tallied a goal and an assist, while Eric Staal and Riley Nash also lit the lamp for the Hurricanes, who were coming off a 5-2 win over Buffalo on Thursday. Ward allowed four goals on 35 shots in defeat. Final Score: Calgary 1, Vancouver 0 Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - Joni Ortios first start of the season was a memorable one, as the 23-year-old netminder shut out the Vancouver Canucks and carried the Calgary Flames to a 1-0 victory -- the clubs first over its Pacific Division rival in nearly two years. Ortio was recalled from Adirondack of the AHL on Friday and gave Jonas Hiller the night off. He was peppered with 36 shots and, with the help of the post on several occasions, denied every one of them. Mikael Backlund provided the game-winning goal on Calgarys first shot. The Flames, who came in 0-3-0 in the new year, had dropped nine straight against the Canucks, their previous win coming on Mar. 3, 2013. Eddie Lack saved all but one of the 23 shots he faced in the loss. Final Score: Winnipeg 5, Los Angeles 4 (SO) Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Bryan Little had the lone shootout goal to boost the Winnipeg Jets to a wild 5-4 victory over the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center. The Jets scored three goals on their first three shots of the night, all within the first 6:39 of the contest, but couldnt sustain the lead, yet snapped a two-game skid. Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick made an incredible sprawling save, falling backward with his left hand stopping a shot from Mathieu Perreault in the second round of the shootout. In the fourth round, Littles wrist shot found the right side of the net. Mike Richards missed the net on his attempt to extend the shootout. Little also scored in regulation, as did Blake Wheeler, Zach Bogosian and Perreault. Michael Hutchinson made 25 saves. Quick stopped 21 shots for the Kings, who got goals from Anze Kopitar, Marian Gaborik, Kyle Clifford and Justin Williams. The Kings suffered their third straight loss. Final Score: NY Rangers 3, San Jose 1 San Jose, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Chris Kreider tallied a goal and an assist as the New York Rangers capped a successful California road trip with a 3-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday. Martin St. Louis and Rick Nash also lit the lamp, Derek Stepan supplied two assists and Henrik Lundqvist made 30 saves for the Rangers, who started the trip out with a 4-1 win over Anaheim on Wednesday and topped the Kings 4-3 in a Stanley Cup rematch on Thursday. New York has won five straight games and 13 of its last 14 games. It is the teams best 14-game stretch since Jan. 7 to Feb. 10, 1973 (14-0-1). Melker Karlsson supplied San Joses lone marker to extend his goal streak to five games and Antti Niemi allowed two goals on 31 shots in defeat. http://www.nygiantsfanatic.com/c-7-giants-carl-banks-jersey.aspx . With a 6-4 record, including a 5-2 mark in La Belle Province during the last week, the Winnipeg Goldeyes bid au revoir to the Can-Am League in winning fashion Thursday night. http://www.thecowboysfansmall.com/c-17-cowboys-greg-hardy-jersey.aspx . The Goldeyes (24-14) capped their 10-game road trip with a 6-1 win over the Trois-Rivieres Aigles at Stade Fernand-Bedard. The victory guarantees Winnipeg will return home in first place in the American Associations tight North Division. The Goldeyes have a one-and-a-half game lead on the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks and a two-and-a-half advantage over St. Paul Saints, pending the outcome of the game between those two teams tonight. In the final game of the road trip, the Goldeyes slowly built a lead by scoring single runs in six innings, including five of the last six innings. "We were able to get runs in six different innings, so they swung the bats pretty well," Goldeyes pitching coach Jamie Vermilyea said on the Jewel 101 post-game show. "Its nice to hit and pitch at the same time." Brock Bond drove in Winnipegs first two runs of the game in the second and fourth innings. He finished the game two-for-three at the plate with two RBI and two runs scored. "Every single one of his at-bats hes working the count, working deep in the count and trying to get his pitch," Vermilyea said. Casey Haerther and Reggie Abercrombie also registered two hits for Winnipeg. On the mound, Ethan Hollingsworth made his second start of the season for the Goldeyes and pitched six scoreless innings for his first win of the season. He gave up just three hits, struck out two and walked four. His ERA is now 1.59 in two starts. "He had all of his pitches working," Vermilyea said. "He used his change-up a lot more tonight, keeping guys off balance and throwing strikes, for the most part." Taylor Sewitt, Taylor Bratton, Kyle Bellamy, Brendan Lafferty and Kaohi Downing all saw action out of the bullpen in the games final three innings. Sewitt was tagged in the seventh inning for Trois-Rivieres only run in the game. Aigles starter Ryan Bollinger took the loss. The Goldeyes will return home Friday to begin a seven-game homestand against the RedHawks, who are making their first visit to Shaw Park this season for a four-game series. LAKE FOREST, Ill. Adidas Ultra Boost Comprar . -- If the Chicago Bears are going to make a playoff run, it will be without cornerback Charles Tillman and possibly quarterback Jay Cutler. Cutler, who left Sundays 21-19 loss to the Detroit Lions, has a high left ankle sprain and will miss Sundays game against the Baltimore Ravens. He is listed as week to week by the team and Josh McCown will start. "This is a week to week (injury), and it certainly wont be this week," coach Marc Trestman said Monday about Cutlers return. Tillman suffered a torn right triceps muscle in the second half Sunday, and has been placed on injured reserve/designated to return. He can return to practice in six weeks and is eligible to play again in eight weeks. The Bears (5-4) have seven games remaining in the regular season. "The fact that Im no longer a part of that to help this team further succeed, thats the part that hurts," said Tillman, a two-time Pro Bowl player. "My role right now is to be the biggest cheerleader and supporter on the sideline." The Bears defence already was without three starters in linebacker Lance Briggs (shoulder fracture), defensive tackle Henry Melton (ACL tear) and linebacker D.J. Williams (torn pectoral muscle). "It just so happened, the injury bug, it has a hold of our team for some reason," Tillman said. Trestman said Cutlers injury occurred almost three minutes into the second quarter when a defender rolled up his ankle. Cutler continued to play, but left before the games final drive. Trestman said he never thought Cutler reached the point where his play was hindering the team until his final pass, one made on the run that went into the ground in front of wide receiver Alshon Jeffery. "Its very tough to pull your starting quarterback out when hes throwing the ball with velocity, when hes hitting his receivers and hes able to move in the pocket and complete a throwing motion," Trestman said. "All those three indications confirmed with me that I should keep him in there. I know we sacrificed his ability to move around and run (by keeping him in), but that was the case after two minutes and 53 seconds of the second quarter. So I feel good about what we decided to do with him." After the game, Cutler called the decision to pull him an on-going evaluation throughout the game. "I knew Josh was ready to go and I just didnt want to get to the point where I was hurting us more than I was helping us," Cutler said. Cutler had missed the previous game against Green Bay with a torn groin muscle. He played Sunday following only three weeks away after the team originally said hed miss four weeks or longer. Trestman again repeated Sundays statement that Cutlers groin injury has nothing to do with the ankle injury. "I asked (doctors) if the groin was an issue at all," Trestman said. "They told me even today that if he hadnt rolled up the ankle he would have been able to play today." McCown, who started and played throughout the 27-20 win at Green Bay on Nov. 4, played the final series against the Lions and led the Bears on a touchdown drive. A tying two-point conversion run by Matt Forte failed after McCown threw a TD pass to Brandon Marshall. With McCown taking Cutlers place against the Ravens, Zack Bowman will replace Tillman. He has started 17 NFL games, including 12 in 2009 prior to the signing of free agent cornerback Tim Jennings. "Hes a veteran," Tillman said of Bowman. "Hes been in this defence a while. Hes been a starter on this defence before Tim got here. So I think Zack Bowman is a good fit. Hes the next man up and I have nothing but confidence and faith in Zack." Tillman, like Cutler, is in the final year of his contract and its often been suggested the 33-year-old corner should be converted to free safety as he ages. "I think my athleticism is still there to play corner in this league, whether it be for the Bears or somebody else," Tillman said. "But I still think I have some corner left in me." Id been thinking about a goal like this for a long time, because it can happen that the goalkeeper is off his line. Totti almost celebrated with a goal on the half hour mark as he slid in on a loose ball, but Frederik Sorensen got back and cleared his effort off the line with the help of an upright. He went close on several other occasions, including immediately after the interval only to be denied by 19-year-old goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini, who fingertipped Tottis effort over the bar.Substitute Alessandro Florenzi broke the deadlock in the 75th, pouncing onto a slack pass and firing into the bottom right corner, and Destro sealed the points four minutes from time. The Italy forward controlled Morgan De Sanctis goal kick before smacking it into the back of the net on the half volley from more than 40 yards. In Bergamo, Tevez opened the scoring in the 35th as he was first to a loose ball in the area following Stephan Lichtsteiners pull back.Atalanta wasted a golden opportunity nearly an hour in when it was awarded a penalty after Giorgio Chiellinis clumsy challenge on Salvatore Molina. However, Buffon palmed away German Denis spot kick and moments later Tevez drilled the ball into the bottom corner at the other end for his sixth goal of the season.Juventus has not conceded a goal since April 28 a€” a run of 10 matches in all competitions.Alvaro Morata sealed the result late on, heading in Roberto Pereyras cross for his first Juventus goal. PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. Kiko Casilla Jersey . -- Gary Bettman has always been careful not to get fans hopes up in cities that want an NHL franchise. That continued Tuesday when the commissioner reiterated the league has no official expansion plans in the offing. It wont happen for the 2014-15 season and maybe not even in 2015-16, but that hasnt stopped the calls from pouring in. "Were getting lots of expressions of interest, and no decisions have been made to do anything other than listen," Bettman said after the leagues board of governors meeting wrapped up. We havent embarked on a formal expansion process, but when people want to talk to us, we listen." If the NHL listens and decides to move forward with expanding at some point in the near future, Quebec City, Seattle and Toronto figure to be the front-runners. But Bettman insisted theres no ranking of potential cities and that no decision has been made to expand. Thats despite uneven conferences right now -- 16 teams in the East and 14 in the West -- that deputy commissioner Bill Daly conceded was a bit of misalignment. Getting up to 32 would make for four divisions of eight teams each and solve the disparity in playoff odds. It seems like a natural move, especially considering the expansion fees the NHL could get. But Bettman said a few things must be looked at before considering a place. "When theres an expression of interest, you look at three factors predominately, show-stoppers so to speak," he said. "You want to understand the market and can it support NHL hockey? Would it be a good addition to the league? Two, youve got to have an arena and three, and perhaps most important, it comes down to ownership." Ownership is one of the keys to the NHLs success in the big picture. Bettman was quick to point to negative attention around the Phoenix Coyotes and how theyve been sold along with the Florida Panthers and New Jersey Devils within the past six months. "My my, how far weve come since the summer, when all the articles and speculation were about all these franchises that were supposedly in trouble, which we never believed were," Bettman said. "The franchises have never been stronger. So we went from relocation in your view and distress to now we should be expanding. Everybody needs to slow down. We dont operate like that. Everything in due course. If, in fact, theres a due course to pursue." The city of Markham, Ontario, recently struck down plans to build an NHL-ready arena as the league made it clear it should not happen with the hopes of getting a team. An arena is being built in Quebec City, and one could be on the way in Seattle to lure an NBA team, as well. "I clearly have acknowledged that the Pacific Northwest has a strong interest in hockey," Daly said of the Seattle expansion possibility. As of now everything is just a possibility. But just drawing interest isnt a bad thing. "The fact is there are lots of expressions of interest from lots of different places and thats great, its gratifying," Bettman said. "It shows the business and the game are healthy because there is so much interest and people want to be a part of the game and invest in the game." Alvaro Arbeloa Real Madrid Jersey . The Czechs face Germany in the final in November at home.ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers feel theyre better than their record suggests, yet what they continue to prove during yet another disappointing season is theyre nowhere close to being good enough to overcome critical mistakes.A penalty for having too many men on the field cost the Bucs (2-10) an opportunity to attempt a potential game-winning field goal in a 14-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, and its getting increasingly more difficult for coach Lovie Smith to explain the teams propensity for undermining themselves in key situations. We didnt handle the end of the game the way winning teams handle the end of games, Smith reiterated Monday. During the course of the game, there were some things that happened. ... We didnt finish strong. The Bucs have lost the past two weeks after leading at halftime. Theyve let fourth-quarter leads slip away in five other losses.Everyone has been different, Smith said, but the result has been the same.First-place Cincinnati overcame three interceptions, 10 penalties and an ill-advised onside kick that kept Tampa Bay in the game to extend its lead in the AFC North on Sunday. The Bucs won the turnover battle — forcing three to the Bengals one — but the last of 13 penalties crushed their hopes for an upset. Its tough. Im at a loss for words. Thats been killing us all year — penalties, cornerback Johnthan Banks said after the game. We have to be more disciplined as a team. Thats been our biggest problem. Today showed exactly why we need to be more disciplined. If we dont make penalties, we can win a game.Reserve tackle ONiel Cousins, who was being used as a tight end because Tampa Bay had three tight ends inactive because of injuries, was the extra man on the field. When he ran onto the fieldd, fourth receiver Robert Herron was supposed to run off but didnt, which the Bucs attributed to a miscommunication. Angel Correa Jersey. Josh McCown threw to Louis Murphy for a 21-yard gain to the Cincinnati 20 in the closing seconds, but the play was overturned when a replay challenge confirmed the Bucs had 12 men on the field. Its a sin, kind of simple as that. You cant do it, Smith said, adding that the team has numerous safeguards in place designed to prevent such penalties. They all fell through, Smith continued, starting with me not seeing it.Undisciplined play has dogged the team all season. Sunday marked fifth time the Bucs have been flagged for double-digit penalties, including three of the past four games.Theyve been flagged nine times twice and tied with Seattle for being the most penalized team in the league.Normally I preach turnover ratio, and if you win that, youre going to win the football game. What Ive found out this year is that that many penalties can offset anything you do with the turnovers, Smith said. The coach, in his first season of trying to turn around a franchise that hasnt made the playoffs since 2007, remains confident he can fix the problems. Their next opportunity will be Sunday when they take on the Lions in Detroit.Growing pains, learning situations, normally it doesnt take this many games to get the point across, Smith said.I think you correct it the same way you do any mistake thats happened: you keep working on it, you keep bringing it to their attention. We start in the video session, the coach added. You see it there, you keep preaching it throughout the week and just keep hammering it home. Eventually, it gets through.___Online:AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and http://twitter.com/AP_NFL Cheap China Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China China NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China ' ' '

Numbers Game looks at the Islanders securing the services of Jaroslav Halak. The Islanders Get: G Jaroslav Halak. Halak, 29, was going to be one of the best free agent goaltenders available this summer when the Islanders made a pre-emptive move to acquire him from Washington.CALGARY -- For a guy that has spent the majority of the season split between the ECHL and AHL, Winnipeg goaltender Michael Hutchinson sure looked like an NHL goaltender on Friday night. Paul Postma scored the game-winning goal and Hutchinson made 35 saves, including 18 in a perfect third period, as the Jets hung on for a 5-3 win over the Calgary Flames. "Especially with where I started at the start of the year, I didnt think it would be possible to be in the NHL," said Hutchinson, who played Winnipegs final three games compiling a 2-1-0 record, 1.64 goals-against average and .943 save percentage. Postma broke a 3-3 tie at 9:16 of the third, ripping a slapshot past Karri Ramo from the blue-line. "There was a lot of traffic in front of the net and I just wanted to get it through. I took a shot, kept it low and it found a way into the back of the net," said Postma. It then fell upon Hutchinson to preserve the lead as the Flames feverishly buzzed around the Jets end, outshooting the visitors 14-1 before Blake Wheeler put the game away with an empty net goal. "I definitely had a lot of work in the third period but at the same time, our guys played hard in front and blocked a lot of shots," said the 24-year-old. "When your guys are working that hard in front of you, it gives you that added incentive to bear down and make those saves." One of Hutchinsons biggest stops came with four minutes left when he threw out his glove to stab a shot from Kenny Agostino, who had been sent in alone. "Hutch played so well for us these last three games. Hes got a bright future ahead of him and were looking forward to playing with him," Postma said. Michael Frolik, Evander Kane and Carl Klingberg also scored for Winnipeg (37-35-10). It was the final game of the season for the Jets. Going back to its days in Atlanta, the franchise has missed the playoffs the past seven years. Jiri Hudler, Sean Monahan and Kris Russell scored for Calgary (35-39-7), which had its four-game winning streak snapped. "We didnt get the start that we wanted but by the middle of the second period after those two power-play goals, it seemed like the momentum shifted and we had a great third period," said Flames coach Bob Hartley. "We missed a few chances, we hit some posts. The boys were on a mission, they wanted that win for the fans but unfortunately we couldnt get it done." It was Calgarys final game at the Scotiabank Saddledome, where they finish up 19-19-3. After the game as the players saluted the fans with a wave of their sticks at centre ice, the appreciative crowd rose to their feet in a thundering ovation. "It was cool that everyone stayed in the building. Its been great all year. TThe support has been unbelievable," said Flames captain Mark Giordano. http://www.baratassuperstar.com/adidas-superstar-ii-hombre-mujer-zapatillas-amarillo-blanco-verde.html. Testament to how hard Calgary has played is its 49 one-goal games (25-18-7), which ties the NHL record set by Florida in 2010-11. "Weve really tried to establish a work ethic and an identity of being one of the hardest-working teams in the league," said veteran Flames centre Matt Stajan. "Its exciting for everybody and Im glad the fans see that. But we know we have a lot of work ahead of us. No one is satisfied in here. We have to find a way to get at least 15 more points next year and get into the playoff picture." Hartley is proud of how his team has played and says the fans are too. "Its mutual respect. Its a great story between this team and the fans. We are all part of a great community and you can feel that pride," Hartley said. "Its on me to keep that pride and keep that progression going. Despite the loss tonight I am really happy how we turned our season, especially at home. Thats where success starts." Down 3-1 halfway through the second, the Flames got a great chance to get back in the game when they got a two-man advantage for 1:31. Mark Stuart put the Jets down two men when he caught Hudler in the face with a high stick. Although just 1-for-9 with a two-man advantage coming into the game, this time Calgary took full advantage when Monahan scored at 11:46 and Russell tied it 24 seconds later. Monahans 22nd goal is the most by a Flames rookie in 24 years, dating back to 1989-90 when Paul Ranheim had 26 and Sergei Makarov had 24. After Hudlers goal reduced the Jets lead to 2-1, Winnipeg restored its two-goal cushion at 8:48 when Klingberg curled out from behind the net and wrapped in his first NHL goal. The Jets scored twice in the first. Frolik on a deflection off of Flames defenceman TJ Brodie at 7:23 then Kane at 16:10 when he ripped a wrist shot into the top corner. "I never ever put a lot of stock into the last games when youre out, except if they quit on each other, if they just say Its fine," said Winnipeg coach Paul Maurice. "They didnt quit and there was nothing on the line." Ramo had 22 stops to see his record fall to 17-14-4. Notes: Rookie Jets D Jacob Trouba left the game halfway through the first period after a shot from Paul Byron hit his own stick blade and struck him in the face. He did not return... Calgary C Mike Cammalleri (virus) did not play... Maurice finishes the year 18-12-5 after taking over as Winnipegs head coach on Jan. 12... LONDON -- Arsenal has taken internal action against goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny for making an offensive hand gesture after being sent off in the 2-0 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday. http://www.maillotfrancefoot.fr/maillot-mamadou-sakho-equipe-de-france.html . Szczesny was red-carded for taking out Bayerns Arjen Robben in the penalty area, and the Poland goalie made the gesture before walking down the tunnel. UEFA has yet to confirm whether Szczesny will be cited, but Wenger said on Friday that he was reprimanded by the club. "We dont agree with that," Wenger said. STANFORD, Calif. -- Serena Williams stared at the court, took a deep breath and seemed to clear her head after falling behind in the first set. She dominated the rest of the way. Playing her first tournament since her departure from Wimbledon because of equilibrium problems, the top-ranked Williams won her WTA-leading fourth title of the year, beating third-seeded Angelique Kerber 7-6(1), 6-3 on Sunday in Bank of the West Classic. Kerber, 0-4 in finals this season, won five straight games to go up 5-1 and was serving for the first set at 5-2. Williams saved two set points and went to win five games in a row. "I blinked my eye and I was down 1-5," Williams said. "Angelique was playing well and I thought Whats going on? I tried to relax, not think about anything and just do the right thing." The eighth-ranked Kerber forced a tiebreaker, but Williams took the first five points. "Its a good thing that it happened," Williams said. "When Im not playing great I know I can make some kind of comeback." Williams didnt play well in any of the first sets this week but always found a way to win. "Ive been training hard all year and hopefully that pays off, especially after Wimbledon," Williams said. "I stayed positive here. This shows Im moving in the right direction." Questions were raised after she retired from a doubles match with sister Venus at Wimbledon in June. A viral infection affected her equilibrium. She answered those questions with an exclamation point Sunday. "Every week is a new week and all I can do is try and improve," Williams said. "For me its all mental: being there, being positive and being good to myself." Williamms has beaten the left-handed Kerber four straight times and five of six overall. http://www.maillotfrancefoot.fr/maillot-lassana-diarra-equipe-de-france.html. All of their matches have been in straight sets. "I gave everything I could out there," Kerber said. "When she was down she started hitting the ball better. Its a special thing she has. On the important points, she goes for it." Williams will be No. 1 for the 200th week in her career when the rankings are announced Monday. She is fifth on the career list, nine weeks behind fourth-place Martina Hingis. "I feel like Im just me. I dont feel any different from anyone else on this planet," Williams said. "To be that of as that is pretty awesome." Williams extended her winning streak to 13 matches in winning her third title at Stanford in four years. "It just says how much I love to play here," she said. Kerber, who will rise to No. 7, was the first German to reach the final in the event since Sylvia Hanika in 1987. Bettina Bunge, in 1983, was the last German to win the tournament. "I had a great week," Kerber said. "I played some great matches against some good opponents. She showed shes the best player in the world." Williams has not lost to a top-10 player this season. Kerber has never beaten a No. 1 player. Williams improved to 17-2 overall in matches played at Stanford. Shes 30-5 on the season and 662-117 for her career. Williams is 61-17 in finals. Williams has not played well at Grand Slam events this year, failing to reach the quarterfinals of the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon. Winning the U.S. Open, she said, "would make it better but not erase anything. But Im just focused on the next tournament." LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Lakers confirmed Byron Scott is their new coach Monday night. Mateo Kovacic Jersey . The Lakers finally made the long-anticipated announcement in a news release. Scott will be introduced at a news conference Tuesday at the Lakers training complex. Scott told reporters last weekend he had been hired by the Lakers, who have been without a coach since Mike DAntoni resigned April 30. Scott is the 25th head coach in the 16-time NBA champions franchise history. General manager Mitch Kupchak said he conducted "an extensive and thorough search" with owner Jim Buss. "Were proud to welcome Byron back to the Lakers family as our next head coach," Kupchak said. "Byron has proven himself at the highest levels of the game as both a player and a coach in his almost 30 years of NBA experience. His leadership skills and track record for success make him the ideal person to lead this franchise forward." Scott is 416-521 as a head coach for New Jersey, New Orleans and Cleveland, reaching two NBA Finals with the Nets. He has won three division titles, and he was the NBAs coach of the year in 2008. Scott also was a shooting guard for the Lakers for 11 seasons, playing alongside Magic Johnson during the Showtime era. He was a teammate of Lakers star Kobe Bryant during his final NBA season, and Bryant has endorsed Scott for his new job. "I am ecstatic to once again be a Laker and to have the opportunity to work alongside Mitch and the Buss family," Scott said. "I know firsthand what it takes to bring a championship to this city, and as someone who both grew up in L.A. and played the majority of my career here, I know how passionate and dedicated our fans are. I will give everything I have to fulfil the championship expectations that our supporters have for us, and that we have for ourselves." Scott spent last season as an analyst on the Lakers television network, watching their disintegration during a 55-loss season, the most in franchise history. Bryant played just six games last season. The Lakers interviewed several coaching candidates over the past three months, including Lionel Hollins and George Karl. Scott has been widely considered the front-runner for the job since early summer, but Kupchak and Buss appeared to be more focused on the NBA draft and free agency than their current teams leadership. PHILADELPHIA -- The Portland Trail Blazers nearly shot their way into the NBA record book. Vladimir Ducasse Jersey . LaMarcus Aldridge had 20 points and 16 rebounds, Nicolas Batum added 17 points and the Trail Blazers set a franchise record for 3-pointers with 21 in their 139-105 victory over the skidding Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night. Damian Lillard scored 16 and Dorell Wright had 15 on 5-for-5 shooting from beyond the arc. Wesley Matthews added 14 points for the Northwest Division leaders, who won their third in a row and improved to 20-4. They became the second NBA team to reach 20 wins, joining the Indiana Pacers (20-3). "Everyone is taking shots with confidence," Wright said. "It doesnt surprise me when guys are making shots like that because we have a lot of great shooters." Mo Williams also had 14 points, Robin Lopez 12 and Thomas Robinson 10 for Portland, which put eight players in double figures and moved to 10-2 on the road. The Trail Blazers broke their club record for 3-pointers for the second time in eight days after hitting 17 against Utah on Dec. 6. In the process, they racked up 139 points, the most by any team in the league this season. The Los Angeles Clippers scored 137 against the Houston Rockets on Nov. 4. Portland fell two 3-pointers shy of the NBA mark for a game. "I know we made a lot of 3s and it was all in the flow of the game," Lillard said. "Guys made good plays to get guys looks and weve got good shooters." Tony Wroten led the reeling Sixers with 18 points and Hollis Thompson had 17. Spencer Hawes added 16, Thaddeus Young had 15 and James Anderson 14. Playing once again without rookie point guard Michael Carter-Williams, the Sixers have dropped six straight and 10 of the last 11 games. Carter-Williams sat out for the sixth consecutive game because of a skin infection on his right knee. The Sixers are 1-9 without Carter-Williams, the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for October and November. "I want to leave it far behind -- really, really far behind," 76ers coach Brett Brown said of the loss. Portland broke open a close game with some stellar shooting, especially from beyond the arc. The Trail Blazers hit 11 of their first 20 tries from 3-point range and were 18 for 32 by the end of the third quarter for a 111-79 lead. Wright hit No. 18 to break the team record as the third-quarter buzzer sounded. "This is one of those games where they were making all their shots and all we can do sometimes is throw our hands up," Young said. "Its like, What else is there to do?" It was the latest record-setting performance for the streaking Blazers. In their previous game two nights ago, a 111-104 victory over Houston, Aldridge posted the first 30-point, 25-rebound game in franchise history. This time, the Trail Blazers didnt need nearly as much from Aldridge with such a balanced effort up and down the lineup. "Weve got good shooters," coach Terry Stotts said. "They have a track record of being good shooters." The Sixers never posed a serious threat in the fourth. The Blazers led by as many as seven points in the first half and wound up with a 71-64 advantage heading into the locker room. NOTES: Wroten was whistled for a technical foul with 8:36 remaining in the third quarter. ... The 71 points allowed in the first marked the most given up by the Sixers in any half this season. ... PATTAYA, Thailand -- Former LPGA Championship winner Anna Nordqvist of Sweden fired an opening 66 to grab a one-stroke lead over American Michelle Wie in the US$1. Nicolas Batum Hornets Jersey .5 million LPGA Thailand at the Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course on Thursday. Playing under overcast skies, the 26-year-old who is based in Florida hit six birdies, two bogeys and an eagle on the 15th to take a solo lead at 6 under par in the 70-player tournament. "I started with three birdies, so obviously got some momentum off the start," Nordqvist said. "On 15 I had 59 yards to the pin, pitched a little bit past, and then spun in the hole. So that was pretty cool to make an eagle there." After barely registering a top-10 finish, late last year Nordqvist had to find a new coach, Jorje Parada of Spain, and changed equipment. "It felt like at one point last year I was about ready to quit golf," added the world No 27. "I just kind of lost the reason why I play golf, the fun of it. I have good people around me now. They have been really helping me to get that inspiration back." Wie fired six birdies, while bogeying the third, for a 67. "I birdied all four of the par 5s today, which definitely helps on this golf course," she said. Three more Americans are a stroke further back on 68 -- Lexi Thompson, Jennifer Johnson and Angela Stanford, whose round was aided by a hole in one on the par 3, 146-yard eighth hole. World No 1 and defending champion Inbee Park of Sputh Korea hit a 71 to join a large group of players on one-under that also includes world No 3 Stacy Lewis, 2012 LPGA Championship winner Feng Shanshan of China and Australian Karrie Webb, who just claimed a home tournament in Victoria on Sunday. SAO PAULO, Brazil -- Luis Suarez scored twice to give Uruguay a 2-1 victory over England at the World Cup on Thursday, making an instant impact on his return from injury to revive his teams Group D campaign. http://www.airmaxskorrea.net/nike-air-max-2015-sverige/air-max-2015-vita.html . The Liverpool striker, who hadnt played since undergoing surgery on his left knee last month, lashed in the winner in the 85th minute, after seeing his first-half opener cancelled out by Wayne Rooney. After surprisingly losing its Group D opener to Costa Rica, Uruguays qualifying chances have now been given a major lift, while Englands hopes of advancing to the round of 16 are in real jeopardy after its worst World Cup start in more than half a century. Suarez seemed to revel in inflicting Englands second successive loss in Brazil, having been punished twice by the countrys Football Association for misdemeanours, serving bans for racism and biting in the Premier League. Of Uruguays six efforts on target, five were from Suarez -- including the two that beat goalkeeper Joe Hart as Englands slack defending was exploited. "I dreamt this," Suarez said at the Itaquerao Stadium in Sao Paulo. "Im enjoying this moment, because of all I suffered, the criticism I received. So, there you go." By taking his World Cup tally to five goals, Suarez ensured that Rooneys first-ever goal in 10 matches on footballs biggest stage was in vain at his third tournament. Rooney tapped the ball home from close range in the 75th minute after connecting with Glen Johnsons pass. Having also lost against Italy, England now faces the prospect of not advancing from the group stage for the first time since 1958. "We are a team that is making progress but results decide everything and both results have been negative," coach Roy Hodgson said. "Where does it leave us? I dont know. I dont quite know." Group D leader Italy and Costa Rica, who both have three points, meet for their second group game on Friday. Uruguay now has three points, while England is on zero points after consecutive defeats following its losing start to Italy. It is in the England where Suarez has stepped up a level and powered in the goals that saw him voted the Premier Leagues best player last season. And despite lacking sharpness at times, he still managed to recapture the scoring form that helped Liverpool finish second last season with 31 goals. Suarez was in the thick of the action in the opening minutes against an edgy England side. Goalkeeper Joe Harts first save came after Suarezs cross-shot was deflected off the head of Gary Cahill. "Quite frankly, for long periods of the game we kept him very quiet," Hodgson said. "We are normally used to seeing him much more active in and around our penalty area than we saw him today." When Suarez did break forward, though, he was a real menace. Suarezs first goal came in the 39th when Diego Godin picked up possession on the halfway line and sprayed it to Edinson Cavani on the left. Suarez easily evaded Phil Jagielka to head over Hart, seizing on defensive lapses just as Mario Balotelli did in Italys win. Although after several chances, Rooney ended his World Cup hoodoo it was rendered meaningless by Suarezs devastating final touch. Suarezs Liverpool teammate, England captain Steven Gerrard, tried to clear a long punt by Uruguay goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, and the ball glanced off the head of midfielder and back toward his own goal. Suarez ran onto it and beat Hart with a right-footed shot from about nine yards. "If this was a movie, people probably couldnt have wished for a better result, at least in Uruguay," Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez said. Nike Air Max Zero Köpa . The Canadiens accomplished both. Alex Galchenyuk scored the only shootout goal, and the Canadiens got their fifth win in six games, 2-1 over the Bruins on Monday night. http://www.airmaxskorrea.net/nike-air-max-2015-sverige/air-max-2015-dam.html . Ames was unanimously named for induction into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame on Wednesday, becoming the 74th member of the countrys golfs shrine.LOS ANGELES -- Andrew Cashner pitched seven strong innings to win for the first time since mid-April, Jedd Gyorko hit a two-run homer, and the San Diego Padres snapped a six-game skid by beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-3 Tuesday night. The Dodgers had their four-game winning streak end, and their NL West lead was cut to 2 1/2 games over San Francisco. The Padres totalled 12 runs during their losing streak, but they built a 5-0 lead for Cashner by the third inning, allowing him to beat the Dodgers for the first time. Cashner (3-7) allowed two runs and nine hits, struck out two and walked one after being winless in 11 outings. His last victory was against Colorado on April 16. The right-hander improved to 1-2 against the Dodgers. Roberto Hernandez (8-11) gave up five runs and three hits in three innings, struck out three and walked one. Gyorkos homer on the first pitch he faced from Hernandez in the third extended San Diegos lead to 5-0. The Padres went ahead 3-0 with two outs in the second. Cashner helped himself with a two-run double, and Cory Spangenberg followed with an RBI single. Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez committed the first of his two errors in the inning on Cashners double to deep centre with runners on the corners. The throw to the infield bounced past two cutoff men, including a spprawling Ramirez, allowing the runner on first to score and Cashner to advance to third. http://www.airmaxskorrea.net/air-max-2015-svart/air-max-2015-svart-orange.html. Ramirez made an effort to get Cashner at third after recovering the ball on the lip of the infield grass, but his awkward, backhanded throw hit the Padres pitcher as he slid into third. That play came a night after the Dodgers committed three throwing errors on the same play, allowing San Diego to score two runs in Los Angeles 9-4 victory. The Dodgers trailed 5-2 in the sixth on Adrian Gonzalezs two-run homer. Matt Kemp followed with a double, but he was hit by the ball off Carl Crawfords bat and was out at third. The Padres added a run in the eighth on Rene Riveras sacrifice fly. Pinch-hitter Justin Turners RBI single in the ninth drew the Dodgers to 6-3 before Kevin Quackenbush struck out Dee Gordon, and Ramirez flied out to end the game. TRAINERS ROOM Padres: RHP Joaquin Benoit and RHP Blaine Boyer, both experiencing shoulder problems, are progressing and should return soon. UP NEXT Padres: Ian Kennedy (10-12, 3.75) has worked six or more innings in 20 of his 29 starts, including 20 of his last 28 since April 6. Dodgers: Dan Haren (12-10, 4.17) has pitched well in his last six starts, going 4-1 with a 2.04 ERA and limiting batters to a .203 average. SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. Al Jefferson Swingman Jersey . -- Mone Davis had a bloop RBI single in the first inning to became the sixth girl to get a hit in Little League World Series history, and her Philadelphia team rallied in the sixth inning to beat Pearland, Texas, 7-6 on Sunday night. In the sixth inning against Pearland, Zion Spearman scored the winning run on shortstop Matt Adams two-out throwing error to first base. Scott Bandura reached on a bunt leading off the inning. The Suns termed Fridays surgery by team doctor Thomas Carter a success. No timetable was given for Bledsoes return but the team said in a news release that he "will pursue a possible return to action during the second half" of the season. Bledsoe was having the finest season of his career after being acquired by the Suns from the Los Angeles Clippers in the off-season, averaging 18 points and 5.8 assists per game. He and Goran Dragic formed the double-point guard backcourt that had been the catalyst of the Suns surprising start to the season. This is the second time in a little over three years that the 24-year-old player has undergone surgery to repair a torn meniscus in the same knee. The first surgery was performed Oct. 7, 2011, during the NBA lockout of that season. The Suns, who were playing at Memphis on Friday night, are one of the NBAs most surprising teams with a 21-13 record. They are 16-8 with Bledsoe and 5-5 without him. He missed six games earlier this season with a bruised shin and has been sidelined the last four with what the team initially said was a sprained right knee. The injury puts more pressure on Dragic, who is averaging 19.1 points and 5.9 assists per game. To bolster the depleted backcourt, Phoenix signed Leandro Barbosa to a 10-day contract this week. The 31-year-old Brazilian, who also is coming off knee surgery, had hiis best NBA seasons with the Suns, including winning the leagues Sixth Man award in 2007 after averaging 18 points a game. Alonzo Mourning Hornets Jersey. Gerald Green moves into the starting lineup in Bledsoes absence. Green, who made the winning shot in Wednesday nights victory at Minnesota, was acquired, along with centre Miles Plumlee, in a trade that sent Luis Scola to Indiana. "Its tough," Green told azcentral sports at the teams Friday shootaround in Memphis. "You lose a player like that, playing at the high level hes been playing at, its going to be tough. This team is made for the next-man-up mentality." Bledsoes offence, particularly his lane penetration, has been a critical part of his success, but his defence probably will be more sorely missed. "Guys are going to have to step it up," Suns coach Jeff Hornacek told azcentral sports. "Its unfortunate that hes going to miss some games but I think the more theyll get used to the rotation, hopefully thatll make us better." The injury comes at a tricky juncture in Bledsoes career financially. He will become a restricted free agent at the end of this season and, while the Suns have indicated they would match any offer for him, its possible that two knee surgeries in his first four NBA seasons might diminish his value, at least somewhat. The teams Memphis stop is the third on a five-game road trip. Phoenix split the first two on the trip and is 2-2 since Bledsoes knee injury. Zaza Pachulia Mavericks Jersey .Daniel Carcillo also received a suspension after Game 3. Although he wasnt overly physical, abuse is abuse so he received the automatic 10 game ban for abusing an official:Then, there was the Derek Brassard fiasco. The Rangers forward will be returning to the lineup tonight after leaving Game 1 of the series with an injury. Head coach of the Habs, Michel Therrien said that "we expect Derick Brassard to play and we know exactly where hes injured. Hockey is a small world."This caused quite the stir and head coach of the Rangers, Alain Vigneault, responded with this: #NYR Vigneault on #Habs Therrien saying he knows Brassard injury: "I hope nothing happens to Derrick or Michel could be in trouble." — John Lu (@JohnLuTSNMtl) May 25, 2014Hopefully nothing happens to Brassard, or this thing will get out of hand, but the shenanigans didnt stop there. Assistant coach of the New York Rangers, Ulf Samuellson, attended Habs practice yesterday morning, much to the displeasure of Therrien. And of course, the displeasure of Therrien created displeasure from Vigneault, who said this about Therriens actions: Vigneault calls what Therrien did at practice yesterday "uncalled for." Regarding Habs coach telling Rangers assistants to leave — Pierre LeBrun (@Real_ESPNLeBrun) May 25, 2014He also added that the Habs were lucky that things didnt get out of hand while ejecting Samuelsson: Vigneault also said "lucky it didnt escalate," talking about Montreal demanding security remove Ulf Samuelson from Habs prax yesterday. — Darren Dreger (@DarrenDreger) May 25, 2014Of course, Therrien isnt the first guy to be angry at Ulf Samuelssono there you have it and now it is time for Game 4. The Habs would love to even up this series while the Rangers will try to stretch the series lead to 3-1. It will be interesting to see if Tokarski can put in another solid performance for the Habs. Turn on your TVs at 8 oclock tonight, its going to be a good one. Steve Nash Mavericks Jersey ." That, Smith explained Monday at a news conference, would be the "typical thoughts a defensive player (would have) with the ball." And he heeded his own advice, going 69 yards for a touchdown on that play. He added a fumble recovery later and earned MVP honours as Seattle beat Mannings Denver Broncos 43-8 for the Seahawks first NFL championship. Steve Nash Jersey . -- Howie Kendrick had a two-run single in his first game batting leadoff this season, Chris Iannetta hit a pair of RBI singles and the Los Angeles Angels beat Cleveland 6-4 Tuesday night, sending the Indians to their fifth straight defeat.MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- With Tony Allen back, the Memphis Grizzlies were able to turn up their defence pressure and hold off the Los Angeles Clippers down the stretch. Zach Randolph had 21 points and 11 rebounds, Marc Gasol added 17 points and 10 rebounds, and the Grizzlies survived a late rally for a 102-96 victory over the Clippers on Friday night. Allen, the Grizzlies defensive sparkplug, missed the previous 21 games with a sprained left wrist. His return sparked a defensive effort that held the Clippers to 33 per cent shooting in the second half and gave Memphis a double-digit lead that was enough of a buffer for the Grizzlies to win their fourth straight. Allen scored nine points on 4-of-4 shooting with two steals and a block. "With TA back in the lineup, its great," Randolph said. "Hes a leader on this team, and he gets guys going with his energy. What else can I say? Were happy to have him back." Allen drew a standing ovation when he entered the game late in the first quarter and seemed even more animated than usual in seeing his first action since Jan. 3. He said his goal was "to get in there and cause havoc." "I kind of had butterflies in my stomach when they did that," Allen said of the ovation, "but I got focused on the game." James Johnson added 15 for Memphis, and Mike Miller finished with 13, hitting 5 of 8 from the field. Courtney Lee scored 10 for Memphis. Gasol had four blocks. Blake Griffin led the Clippers with 28 points and 13 rebounds, and Jamal Crawford had 23 points. Chris Paul added 18 points and 14 assists, but was 4 of 13 from the field as Los Angeles lost its second straight. "It was just one of those games that we missed a lot of easy ones," Griffin said after Los Angeles shot 39 per cent for the game. Clippers coach Doc Rivers thought the game started slipping away in the second quaarter. Jose Juan Barea Jersey. Rivers, who coached Allen in Boston, noted that he was a key. "I thought Tony Allen, Mike Miller and James Johnson turned the game around for them with their energy," Rivers said. Another key was the bench scoring. Memphis reserves outscored their Clippers counterparts 43-7. "When we dont score, thats fine," Rivers said, "but weve got to be able to get stops. Our second unit didnt kill this offence, they gave up 32 points defensively, and that thats what hurt us." The Grizzlies opened the fourth quarter connecting on their first four shots for an 11-4 run to take the lead to double digits. Mike Conleys layup gave Memphis an 84-72 lead with 9:23 remaining. The margin stayed between seven and 11 points, and Memphis still led by 10 approaching the 4-minute mark. But Los Angeles chipped away, and a pair of free throws from Paul brought the Clippers within 98-96 with 1:05 left. That was as close as Los Angeles could get. Memphis scored the last four points while the Clippers were missing their final four shots. As has become the norm when the two teams face each other, the play was physical and defence stout. "Every game we play against them is going to be a battle, and we understand that," Conley said. "Both teams get up for each other, and (Los Angeles) is the most competitive team, I think, as far as rivalries go." NOTES: Griffin has scored at least 25 points in 10 straight games. ... Hoping to close the book on bounties, the NFL suspended New Orleans Saints defensive captain Jonathan Vilma without pay for all of next season Wednesday and gave shorter bans to three other players for their leading roles in the teams cash-for-hits system that knocked key opponents out of games from 2009-11. Jared Goff Womens Jersey . Defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove, now with the Green Bay Packers, was suspended for the first half of the 16-game season; Saints defensive end Will Smith was barred for the opening four games; and linebacker Scott Fujita, now with the Cleveland Browns, will miss the first three games of 2012. Like Vilma, they were suspended without pay, costing each hundreds of thousands of dollars. The league said its investigation showed "a significant number of players participated" in the bounties -- by ponying up cash or collecting it -- but noted that "the players disciplined participated at a different and more significant level." Add the losses of Vilma and Smith to the previously announced suspension of head coach Sean Payton for all of 2012, along with shorter penalties for general manager Mickey Loomis and assistant coach Joe Vitt, and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell came down hard on the Saints ahead of a season that will end with New Orleans hosting the Super Bowl. As attention to concussions has increased in recent seasons, Goodell has emphasized the importance of player safety via rules enforcement and threats of fines or suspensions. The NFL is facing dozens of lawsuits brought by more than 1,000 former players who say the league didnt do enough to warn them about -- or shield them from -- the dangers of head injuries. If Goodell aims to move on from the bounty case, the NFL Players Association might not let him: The suspended players have three days to appeal, and NFLPA head DeMaurice Smith said the union would fight the ruling. Fujita is a member of the NFLPAs executive committee who has spoken out in the past about the need for the league to do a better job of protecting players. Through his agent, Vilma issued a statement saying he is "shocked and extremely disappointed" by the punishment and denying he was a bounty ringleader. "I never set out to intentionally hurt any player and never enticed any teammate to intentionally hurt another player. I also never put any money into a bounty pool or helped to create a bounty pool intended to pay out money for injuring other players," Vilma said. He added: "I intend to fight this injustice, to defend my reputation, to stand up for my team and my profession, and to send a clear signal to the Commissioner that the process has failed, to the detriment of me, my teammates, the New Orleans Saints and the game." Will Smith also denied a role in the bounties. "I have never in my career, nor as a captain asked others, to intentionally target and hurt specific opposing players. I was in no way involved in establishing ... a bounty program. The accusations made against me are completely and one-hundred per cent false, and I plan to appeal," he said via statement sent by his publicist. "Through this entire process, the NFL never notified me of what I was being accused of, nor presented me with any evidence or reasoning for this decision. I am interested in discovering who is making these specific and false accusations, and as well as why a decision was made without speaking with me and giving me the opportunity to review the facts." DeMaurice Smith said the union "has still not received any detailed or specific evidence from the league of these specific players involvement in an alleged pay-to-injure program. We have made it clear that punishment without evidence is not fair. We have spoken with our players and their representatives and we will vigorously protect and pursue all options on their behalf." The league said no player agreed to be interviewed in person and the NFLPA did not share information from its own investigation. According to the NFL, its investigation determined the Saints ran a bounty system for three seasons, with thousands of dollars offered for big hits that sidelined opponents. Originally, the league said 22 to 27 defensive players were involved in the illegal scheme, which was orchestrated by then-Saints defensive co-ordinator Gregg Williams and started in the season New Orleans won its only Super Bowl championship. Targeted players included quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton, Brett Favre and Kurt Warner. "Knockouts" were worth $1,500 and "cart-offs" $1,000, with payments doubled or tripled for the playoffs. "In assessing player discipline, I focused on players who were in leadership positions at the Saints; contributed a particularly large sum of money toward the program; specifically contributed to a bounty on an opposing player; demonstrated a clear intent to participate in a program that potentially injured opposing players; sought rewards for doing so; and/or obstructed the 2010 investigation," Goodell said in a statement. According to the league, Vilma, a linebacker, offered $10,000 in cash to any player who knocked then-Cardinals QB Warner out of a playoff game at the end of the 2009 season, and the same amount for knocking then-Vikings QB Favre out of that seasons NFC championship game. The Saints were flagged for roughing Favre twice in that game, and the league later said they should have received another penalty for a brutal high-low hit from two players that hurt Favres ankle. He was able to finish the game, but the Saints won in overtime en route to the NFL title. Fujita, the NFL said, "pledged a significant amount of money to the prohibited pay-for-performance/bounty pool" during that seasons playoffs. Smith, according to the NFL, "pledged significant sums to the program pool." The league said Hargrove "actively obstructed the leagues 2010 investigation into the program by being untruthful to investigators." He also "actively participated in the program while a member of the Saints," the league said, adding that he eventually "submitted a signed declaration to the league that established not only the existence of the program at the Saints, but also that he knew about and participated in it." Vilma will miss out on $1.6 million in base salary in 2012, while Fujita stands lose more than $640,000, Hargrove more than $385,000, and Smith more than $190,000. Some of their contracts were restructured this off-season, perhaps in anticipation of the punishments. The Saints, Browns and Packers already have made personnel moves that could help fill the gaps. The Saints signed three linebackers in free agency; the Packers, who also will be without defensive end Mike Neal for four games because he violated the leagues policy on performance-enhancing substances, drafted two defensive linemen last week; and the Browns drafted two linebackers. "We will respect the Commissioners decision. Scott is a valued member of the Cleveland Browns, and we look forward to his participation in our off-season program and training camp," Browns coach Pat Shurmur said. The other two clubs did not immediately comment. Any payout for specific performances in a game, including interceptions or causing fumbles, is against NFL rules. The NFL warns teams against such practices before each season, although in the aftermath of the revelations about the Saints, current and former players from various teams talked about that sort of thing happening frequently -- just not on the same scale as was found in New Orleans. Goodells decision was heavily criticized via Twitter by many players. But not all. "I think hes doing the right thing to make sure this doesnt happen ever again. Theres no room for any kind of bounty system in the NFL. Its a physical sport, and youve got to respect the game," New York Giants quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning said. "Hes been harsh, to try to make a statement saying there is no place for this in the game of football." James Harrison of the Pittsburgh Steelers, a linebacker suspended by the NFL for a game last season after an illegal hit on Browns quarterback Colt McCoy, tweeted that the penalties were "ridiculous" and suggested that Goodells crackdown is motivated by the concussion lawsuits and a desire to increase the regular season to 18 games. Saints tight end Jimmy Graham tweeted: "I want to see the evidence and hear an explanation." Reggie Bush, a running back who played for the Saints from 2006-10 and now is with the Miami Dolphins, wrote on Twitter that the suspensions were "outrageous" and "Next thing you know well be playing two hand touch football! (hash)Lame" In a memo sent Wednesday to the NFLs 32 teams, Goodell reminded them that "any program of non-contract bonuses, however it is characterized, is a violation of league rules" and said that every head coach must review those rules with assistants and players during mini-camp or pre-season training camp. Also, all players will be told how they can confidentially report rules violations. In March, Goodell made Payton the first head coach suspended by the league for any reason, for trying to cover up the system of extra cash payouts. Goodell also indefinitely banned Williams, who was hired in January to run the St. Louis Rams defence. Loomis was barred for eight games; Vitt for six. The Saints were fined $500,000 and lost two second-round draft picks. Fujita, Hargrove and Smith are allowed to participate in off-season activity, including pre-season games, before their suspensions take effect. Vilma, though, is suspended immediately and will be reinstated after the coming seasons Super Bowl is played in his teams city. "Nothing can be gained from sharing how I feel about" his teammates penalties, Saints right tackle Zach Strief said. "I will miss Jonathan very much. Knowing him personally, hes a good person. This is going to be a tough thing for him to go through. In terms of his leadership, somebody else will step up and take over." http://www.theramslockroom.com/Green-Jared-Goff-Elite-Los-Angeles-Rams-16-Nike-Salute-To-Service-Mens-Nfl-Jersey.html . - Dax McCartys goal in the 21st minute lifted the New York Red Bulls to a 1-1 tie with the Chicago Fire on Sunday. http://www.theramslockroom.com/Mens-Royal-Blue-Jared-Goff-Alternate-Elite-Nfl-16-Nike-Los-Angeles-Rams-Jersey.html . - The Sacramento Kings never beat the Los Angeles Clippers in four games last season. OKLAHOMA CITY -- Sacramento coach Michael Malone said Kevin Durant wouldnt score 54 points against his Kings like he did against Golden State two nights earlier. Angel di Maria Real Madrid Jersey . Turns out, the alternative wasnt any fun for Malone, either. Durant scored 30 points and embraced a role as a facilitator by finishing with nine assists to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder past Sacramento 108-93 on Sunday night. "I told you Durant wasnt going to get 54 tonight, right?" Malone said with a smile after the game. Durant, coming off that career-high scoring effort on Friday, still shot 10 for 15 from the field on Sunday and scored at least 30 points for the seventh straight game. Serge Ibaka added 20 points and benefited of several of Durants passes. "My teammates were setting screens for me," Durant said. "We were seeing something in pick-and-roll. Serge was doing a great job of slipping out of it and knocking down shots. I was trying to be aggressive and put pressure on the rim and the defence and if they draw in, I kick it out and if not, I try to lay the ball in, take a good shot." Reggie Jackson added 16 points for the Thunder, who won their third straight. Oklahoma City scored 34 points off Sacramentos 21 turnovers and had 20 second-chance points. Oklahoma City improved to 8-5 without All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook since he had surgery on his right knee last month. "They execute well and they do a great job of playing together, so all credit to them," Cousins said. "But at the same time, I think we did a terrible job defensively of guarding those guys tonight. We made it easy for them to run their sets. With that being said, thats why they had the type of game they did." Isaiah Thomas scored a career-high 38 points for the Kings, but he slowed down in the second half as the Thunder pulled away. "He got hot," Durant said. "He hit a lot of 3s. He got to the foul line a lot. He was coming down, pulling up. I think our pick-and-roll defence was a lot better in the second half, making him drive a little more, forcing him to our bigs." DeMarcus Cousins had 16 points and 14 rebounds for Sacramento. Rudy Gay scored just six points for the Kings and was ejected after picking up two technical fouls in the fourth quarter. The score was tied at 43 late in the second quarter before the Thunder went on a 12-4 run, highlighted by Durants lob to Ibaka for a two-handed jam. The Thunder held the Kings to 6-for-17 shooting in the second quarter to take a 57-52 lead at the break. Thomas scored 27 points in the first half on 7-for-11 shooting. Cousins made a layup early in the third quarter to tie the score at 60, but the Thunder responded with an 8-0 run, including four points by Jackson, to put Oklahoma City ahead and force the Kings to call a timeout. Durant found Jackson a little later for a 3-pointer to extend the lead to 75-64 and force the Kings to call another timeout. Durant hit a 3 from straight away to bump Oklahoma Citys lead to 87-70, and the Thunder led 89-74 at the end of the quarter. Gay was called for two technicals for arguing with an official and was ejected with 10:01 remaining. The Thunder led 95-74 after the free throws. "Rudy, obviously, I think he was frustrated with the way he was playing and he wound up getting thrown out of the game, which is unfortunate," Malone said. "But tomorrow is another day. Well bounce back, well work on some things, watch some film and we still have two games on this trip that we feel like we have a great chance to win." NOTES: Oklahoma City won the first meeting between the teams, 97-95 in Sacramento. ... Thomas scored 21 points in the fourth quarter of the earlier meeting, then scored 14 in the first quarter on Sunday. ... The Kings shot 62 per cent in the first quarter to lead 30-28 at the end of the period. ... Sacramento F Jason Thompson was issued a technical foul in the third quarter. ... Tennis Canada announced the names of the players slated to compete in the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Americas Zone Group I matches to be held in Curitiba, Brazil from January 30 to February 4, 2012. http://www.vikingsauthenticonline.com/Youth-Laquon-Treadwell-Elite-Jersey/ . Stephanie Dubois (Laval, QC), Sharon Fichman (Toronto, ON), Rebecca Marino (Vancouver, BC) and Aleksandra Wozniak (Blainville, QC) were chosen to represent the nation by team captain Sylvain Bruneau. "We came very close to reaching World Group I last year and now its time to get back to our winning ways after two tough losses in 2012," said Bruneau. "I have confidence in the depth and experience of my team. We are aiming for a spot in the World Group for 2013 and we will get there by taking one step at a time." Member of the Miele Canadian Fed Cup team since 2004, Dubois has racked up 21 wins and eight losses. Currently ranked no. 97 on the WTA rankings, Dubois enjoyed the best season of her career in 2011, finishing the year inside the Top 100 for the first time. However, a stress fracture in her foot forced Dubois to shut down her season in September. Fichman, 21 years old, has earned fourteen victories compared to just three losses since making her Fed Cup debut in 2005. She also boasts an 11-1 record in matches played on clay. She currently sits at no. 168 in singles and no. 99 in doubles on the world rankings. Marino made her Fed Cup debut last year, posting a record of two wins and three losses. At no. 64 on the WTA rankings, the 21 year-old is the top ranked player on the squad. Marino put together a breakthrough 2011 campaign, reaching a carrer best ranking of no. 38 in July. Wozniak boasts an impressive Fed Cup record of 35 wins and eight losses. Her 28 triumphs in singles and 35 total victories are both Canadian Fed Cup records. She is also the most experienced player on the team having played 13 ties for Canada in her career. Currently ranked no. 107 in the world, Wozniak won the $100,000 Odlum Brown Van Open in Vancouver last summer. In 2011, Canada lost 3-2 to Serbia in the first round of World Group II and the team was relegated to Americas Zone Group I for 2012 following another 3-2 loss at the hands of Slovenia in a World Group II playoff tie last April. Canada joins Argentina, the Bahamas, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru and Venezuela on the clay courts in Curitiba, Brazil for the Americas Group I zonal event. The participating nations will be divided into two groups of four teams. The winners of each group will then face off for the chance to take part in a World Group II playoff tie in April 2012 while the two lowest ranking teams will be sent to Group II of the Americas Zone in 2013. http://www.vikingsauthenticonline.com/Youth-Stefon-Diggs-Elite-Jersey/ . - Corey Perry got to 40 goals and helped the Anaheim Ducks reach 50 wins. http://www.vikingsauthenticonline.com/Youth-Andrew-Sendejo-Elite-Jersey/ . -- Despite being only two games above . SUN CITY, South Africa -- Thomas Bjorn carved out two eagles in his last nine holes, one brilliant and one a little lucky, to come from behind and win the Nedbank Golf Challenge on Sunday, closing with a 65 for 20-under overall and a two-shot victory. Overnight leader Jamie Donaldson of Wales wasted a three-shot advantage with a final-round 70 and tied for second with Sergio Garcia (65). Bjorns sweet five iron into No. 10 set up the first eagle to push him past Donaldson. The Dane had his second on No. 14 after his approach pitched in a bunker and rolled up onto the green. "They were two big moments," Bjorn said. "Obviously having two eagles on the back nine on a Sunday doesnt happen very often. The shot into 14 was a bit fortunate but thats what happens when you win golf tournaments, I guess." The $1.25 million winners check at Sun City is the 42-year-old Bjorns biggest prize and its his 15th European Tour title. Donaldson was bidding to become the first debut winner at Sun City since Zimbabwes Mark McNulty in 1986 but bogeyed No. 9, and couldnt find any more birdies until No. 17. Garcias challenge slipped away with a dropped shot on No. 16 after a run of four straight birdies at the end of his front nine, allowing Bjorn to bogey the last at Gary Player Country Club and still win. Bjorns triumph was hailed by fans in the galleries on No. 18 waving streams of South African flags in late afternoon sunshine on a day dedicated in the country to prayer and reflection following the death of former President Nelson Mandela. http://www.vikingsauthenticonline.com/Youth-Brett-Favre-Elite-Jersey/. The tournament stood for a rendition of the South African anthem at the end. "I think to the whole world he was just an inspiration to human beings. He was a great man," Bjorn said of Mandela at the trophy presentation. "To see what one man can do, its an inspiration to all of us. If we all just did a bit more, this world would be a better place." FedEx Cup and European money list winner Henrik Stenson was fourth on 6 under after his 67 in the No. 3-ranked Swedes first tournament back since ending last season as the worlds best-performing player. Brendon de Jonge (66) was fifth on 15 under and Charl Schwartzel (66) sixth on 13 under, the highest placed South African. Ryan Moore of the United States, another Sun City rookie, was in contention through three rounds before a 73 on Sunday took him back to a tie for seventh with U.S. Open champion Justin Rose. Home favourite and three-time champion Ernie Els had to deal with news of Mandelas passing on Thursday and the death of his former psychological coach on Saturday, and ended with a second straight 77 to finish 12 over par and second from last in the expanded 30-man field. This is the first year the Nedbank has been part of the European Tours schedule. Now that another Olympic Games is over, many across Canada know the stories of our athletes and the various roads they took to get to their ultimate goal. http://www.freeflyknitsuomi.com/2016-naiset-nike-free-665k-kengat-oranssi-valkoinen.html . But what about the officials? Every sport has officials and they also have stories about hard work and sacrifice but their accomplishments are seldom recognized by anyone outside their inner circle. Well, meet Derek Amell, 17-year NHL linesman and now an Olympian. When I turned on the mens hockey gold medal game between Canada and Sweden, I was happy to see that an old acquaintance would be working the lines for the biggest game on the worlds biggest stage. You see, over 25 years ago, Derek and I worked together at a drug store chain in Whitby, Ontario. I was a university student taking a year off school and he was a high school student looking to improve on his first job working the night shift at Burger King for $2.85/hr. There were two things I remembered about Derek back then: he was a lot bigger than me, and he had a very calm personality. Looking back, those are two good attributes for an NHL linesman. For Derek, the dream took off at the age of 24 when he worked his first Ontario Hockey League game. Three years later, he started working American Hockey League games and this is where our paths would cross again. I was an off-ice official with the Hamilton Canucks and Hamilton Bulldogs in the 1990s and we would touch base now and again at Copps Coliseum. I could see then that he was on his way to the NHL. "I felt the NHL was an attainable goal after working the AHLs Calder Cup Final in my first year," said Amell. He wouldnt have to wait long for the big moment. The following year, he found out he would be working NHL games in the upcoming season. In his first NHL season, the league made the decision to return to the Olympics in Nagano, meaning there was now another rung on the ladder of success for NHL players and officials. There would be some career highlights along the way, such as the 2004 World Cup of Hockey, the 2009 and 2012 Stanley Cup Finals as well as the 2012 NHL All-Star Game. Could the Olympics be next? And then he got the news. Unlike the athletes who are introduced at news conferences, Amell was contacted through e-mail by Stephen Walkom, the NHLs director of officiating. The message was sent on December 1, naming the 13 NHL officials who were chosen to work in Sochi. Of course, when athletes go to the Olympics, they stay in the Athletes Village and invite family and friends to share in the experience. Is it the same for the officials? "The officials stayed together in a hotel right inside the Olympic area. It was great to be together with all the amateur officials," said Amell, who is a married father of two children but did not have any family join him in Sochi. To work the gold medal game, he had to prove himself again. "The gold medal officials were chosen by a panel of supervisors from various countries and it was based on performance during the tournament. We were told by e-mail after the semifinal games," said Amell. When the officials for the gold medal game were announced, former NHL player and Swedish international Peter Forsberg was incensed that Canadians would be working the game but some current Swedish players defended the decision, saying their nationality wouldnt affect their decision-making. "We knew there would be extreme scrutiny on the officiating when it was announced that the officials were Canadian," said Amell. "We knew the players would be comfortable with us since we are all in the NHL. It was more an issue with the media than with the players. "At the end of the game, the entire Swedish team came over and shook our hands and told us we did a great job. That was very satisfying for us." So which was more nerve-racking: the first NHL game or the gold medal game? "Working the gold medal game was the most nerve-racking game I have ever officiated," he admitted. Its been a long road from collecting shopping carts in Whitby to officiating at the gold medal game in Sochi. And while Amells appearance at the Olympics may not have been as celebrated as many of the athletes, or even noticed by most viewers, the accomplishment is no less significant. And just like the athletes, family plays an integral role in the success of officials, offering support and enduring hardships over the years. "Since we only work 6-8 games a year at home, the family sacrifices are large," said Amell. "I miss most of my childrens sports activities and birthdays. They understand the life of an NHL official, but it still can be very difficult on my wife and children," said Amell. As for the hundreds of people who show up at the airport for our returning athletes, how does the return of an official compare? "No one met me at the airport," Amell laughed. "It was like coming home from any other road trip!" The Olympics is a place where dreams can come true. Most people dream of winning a gold medal but dont tell Derek Amell that his accomplishment is anything less. He just achieved his Olympic goal with a lot less fanfare. And, like a linesman who goes unnoticed when he does a good job, thats the way he likes it. http://www.freeflyknitsuomi.com/miehet-nike-flyknit-air-max-thea-sale-musta-dark-harmaa-jade-vihrea-juoksukengat.html .
