PITTSBURGH -- Sidney Crosbys comeback -- version 2. Franck Ribery Jersey .0 -- could come on Broadway. The Pittsburgh Penguins star ruled himself out for Sundays game against Boston but is optimistic he could play for the first time since early December when the team travels to play the Eastern Conference-leading New York Rangers on Thursday. "Any game at this point is going to be exciting," Crosby said. "A game like that you have need to make sure that youre that much more ready." And Crosby is not, at least not yet. The 24-year-old former MVP practiced with his teammates on Saturday but feels he needs a few more days of mixing it up with them before donning his familiar No. 87 for the first time since concussion-like symptoms resurfaced following a lost to the Bruins on Dec. 5. "This is something you dont want to mess around with," Crosby said Saturday. "Youve got to make sure, especially this time of year. Its more physical than ever and you have to make sure everything is well tested and I have to make sure Ive done the right things to prepare. Thats basically what it comes down to." Doctors cleared Crosby for contact earlier this week and he hinted hed be able to return as early as Sunday against the defending Stanley Cup champions. But Pittsburghs cramped schedule and limited practice time has him being cautious. Besides, the streaking Penguins are in no rush. Pittsburgh has won eight straight games to close within four points of the Rangers in the race for the Atlantic Division title and home ice throughout the playoffs. The Penguins will have a rare late-season break next week. Theyre off on Sunday and will practice on Tuesday and Wednesday before a pivotal three-game road trip through New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia. Though his teammates are getting by just fine without one of the games top players, Crosby said hes anxious to get back soon so the team can adjust before the playoffs start next month. "I think youre always feeling more pressure when youve missed this much time," he said. "Its really nice that were winning, thats most important but I think that theres always a tendency to have high expectations and I have high expectations for myself." Crosby had 12 points in eight games after making his season debut against the New York Islanders on Nov. 21 but went back on injured reserve when the symptoms -- headaches, dizziness and motion issues -- returned following a physical loss to the Bruins. Over the last three months Crosby has hopscotched across the continent talking to experts. He took a shot for a previously undiagnosed soft tissue injury in his neck that mimics the symptoms of a concussion. He stressed his head is clear and has been eager to initiate contact with his teammates during practice. Of course, finding a willing opponent can be difficult. "Youve got to pick your opponent and theres a couple guys that Ive been skating with a lot," Crosby said. "The first couple times you really have to egg them on. But once they see youre in shape and want to engage in that physical stuff, theyre more willing." The biggest question after when Crosby will return is who will skate alongside him. The line of James Neal, Evgeni Malkin and Chris Kuntiz has fueled Pittsburghs 20-4-1 run since Jan. 13, and the second line of Jordan Staal, Pascal Dupuis and Steve Sullivan has picked it up the last two weeks. Crosby played with grinders Eric Tangradi and Dustin Jeffrey on Saturday, though its highly unlikely hed do the same whenever he hops over the boards to play in a game. Crosby, for one, isnt picky. "Everyones playing really well at this point," he said. "It really doesnt matter. I just want to get back out there." An early break in the second set was enough for the Australian to defeat the former top-ranked Ivanovic for the second straight year. "Probably having a match won here last year, I certainly had a few things in my head that I wanted to try to do today against her," Stosur said. "And right from the start it was kind of working and from that my confidence kind of built, and I was able to keep going and play well till the end." "I hope Ill be able to boost my performance in the next matches as well." In the mens tournament, Roger-Vasselin strained his neck during the warm-up and had it treated after the first game. "From his first service game and down in the match he couldnt serve normally," Seppi said. "I would never like to win like this but sometimes it happens." Seppi will next play Mikhail Kukushkin, who beat Andrey Golubev 6-4, 7-6 (4). LONDON -- A second-half own goal from Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale and strikes from Kevin Mirallas and Steven Naismith secured Evertons fifth consecutive Premier League win at Craven Cottage on Sunday. Mario Gotze Germany Jersey . The defeat leaves the Cottagers at the bottom of the table, five points clear of safety. Meanwhile, Everton are now on 60 points, four adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal, albeit with a game in hand. "This season were fighting to be as high as we can in the table to have that European qualification would be an incredible achievement for the players and thats the way were going to look at every game," said winning manager Roberto Martinez. The home side started brightly, and almost took the lead after twenty-two minutes. The influential Lewis Holtby slid in Moussa Dembele, but Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard made a smart save with his legs to deny the Frenchman from breaking the deadlock. At the stroke of half-time, Holtby and Dembele combined again. Holtbys inviting cross found Dembele in the area, but his powerful header was kept out by Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard, leaving Fulham ruing a dominant first-half display without breaking the deadlock. Despite struggling in the first half, Everton started brighter in the second and took the lead in the 50th minute, when a Naismith shot from the edge of the box took a deflection off Pajtim Kasami and rebounded off the Fulham keeper into the goal. The hosts drew level in the 71st courtesy of a stunning 25 yards drive from Ashjan Dejagah. He found himself with the ball on the edge of the box, and a slip from Everton midfielder James McCarthy allowed the attacking midfielder a clear sight of goal, from which he finished with aplomb. With a Champions League position in their sights, the away side responded well, and began to take control of the game. Aidan McGeady delivered a pinpoint pass to fellow substitute Kevin Mirallas, who took the ball expertly in his stride and shot past a diving Stockdale in the Fulham goal. Steven Naismith sealed the Evertons fifth consecutive league win in the 87th when he guided the ball past a helpless Stockdale after Leighton Baines pass. "This was our best game up till now, so we are very disappointed, but we now focus on the next game" Fulham manager Felix Magath said. Andre Schurrle Germany Jersey . QUEBEC CITY - Early on, it was apparent the team that scored the last run would win at Le Stade Municipal in Quebec City Saturday night. Marcus Cooper Jersey . Unfortunately for the Winnipeg Goldeyes, they didnt score that run. The Goldeyes (20-13) lost 6-5 to the Quebec Capitales in a see-saw affair. After Quebec grabbed a quick 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, Donnie Webb and Reggie Abercrombie hit solo home runs in the top of the second to give Winnipeg their first lead of the night. The Capitales tied the game once again with a run in the bottom of the second, but the Goldeyes swiftly restored the lead in the top of the third. Josh Mazzolas sac fly brought in Casey Haerther and Abercrombie drilled a two-run double. "We hit a lot of balls hard today," Goldeyes pitching coach Jamie Vermilyea said on the Jewel 101 post-game show. "We were wearing out that left fielder with line drives." However, Winnipegs three-run lead only shrank the rest night. Quebec scored twice in the bottom of the third to pull within a run before Jean Luc-Blaquiere hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to complete the comeback. Abercrombie led Winnipeg at the plate with a two-for-four night and three RBI. Tyler Kuhn also had a pair of hits. Goldeyes starter Ethan Hollingsworth went 5 1/3 innings in his Goldeyes debut, giving up four runs – three were earned – on nine hits. "He did well," Vermilyea said of Hollingsworth. "He only made a couple bad pitches and had some bad luck with soft-hit balls that found holes." Quebec starter Shawn Sanford picked up the win, while Gabe Aguilar, who gave up the home run to Blaquiere, suffered his first loss of the season. Kyle Regnault pitched the top of the ninth inning to get the save. Marcus Allen Chiefs Jersey . TORONTO, Ontario - Skating as part of a regular line since the Maple Leafs reconvened for practice last Wednesday, it was a different look for David Bolland this morning, adorning a “non-contact” maroon jersey and participating only in selected drills as an extra player. new balance 574 mujer baratas . “We felt Bolland took a step back yesterday, we felt it would be best suited that he didnt participate on a line today,” said head coach Randy Carlyle. “Its not a positive but its not a huge negative, dont read into it that its something we cant deal with.” “Hes unlikely for tomorrow; he had a little bit of a tweak there yesterday,” added GM Dave Nonis on “Leafs Lunch” on TSN 1050. “Hes had this before and its kind of a step program where he has this and it plateaus for a day or two and then he gets right back at it.” Bolland stumbled near the end of Tuesdays practice after a minor collision during a drill and appeared to grimace. He continued to participate in the few remaining drills but went straight to the locker room instead of joining the teams group discussion on the ice once practice has concluded. “We were playing a game mode situation there and I just had a little bit of a fall there but thats whats going to happen in a game so thats what I have to get ready for,” Bolland explained on Wednesday. While he will travel with the Leafs to New York and intends to take the morning skate, as Carlyle and Nonis indicated, Bolland will likely miss his 46th consecutive game on Thursday. Nikolai Kulemin between Mason Raymond and Troy Bodie formed the third line at Wednesdays practice. “Right now its just day to day. Its just getting it stronger,” Bolland said. “You have to be 100 per cent getting back in the line-up. Dont want to be a liability out there.” But when he gets back in isnt the only decision facing Leafs brass faces when it comes to Bolland. An unrestricted free agent on July 1, he is said to be seeking a longer term contract in the $5-plus million per year range as reported by TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger. Anything over $5.25 million – the cap hits for both Joffrey Lupul and David Clarkson – would make Bolland the Leafs second-highest paid forward, behind only Phil Kessels $8 million cap hit which kicks in next season. Best suited as a third line centre, can the Leafs afford to have Bolland that high on their pay scale? GM Dave Nonis indicated he doesnt necessarily feel compelled to make a decision before the Mar. 5 trade deadline. “If youve got a player thats unrestricted it doesnt mean he wont sign if you dont sign him before the (July 1) deadline,” Nonis explained on TSN 1050. “Look at our situation last year with Tyler Bozak. We didnt reach an agreement (before the trade deadline), he felt we needed to have him in order to get into the post-season and at the end of the season, he was a player who wanted to be here and we wanted to sign him and we found a way to reach an agreement. I dont believe you have to have a player signed, Im perfectly content of letting the UFAs play it out and see where we are.” And that might be the wisest course of action. Once healthy, Bolland would certainly help the Leafs down the stretch and into the playoffs. Given that the Leafs have built a seven point cushion on a playoff spot without him for most of the season, his return can be viewed almost as if its a deadline acquisition, and a good one at that, without giving anything up. With a resume that speaks for itself – two Stanley Cups, a Cup-winning goal, a proven savvy playoff performer and a good leader – its not unreasonable for Bolland to look in the range of $5 million per season. If he doesnt get it from the Leafs, there will be other suitors more than content to offer that type of deal. But with Jake Gardiner and Cody Franson slated for restricted free agency at the end of the season, Nazem Kadri and Jonathan Bernier at the end of the 2015 campaign and Morgan Rielly the year after that, all of whom will be due raises, how much value can the Leafs place on intangibles? “I think a little,” Nonis said on TSN 1050. “You still want to make sure the player is a good fit, that he can contribute on the ice. Therere very few guys that are making an NHL living just on being good guys in the locker room. They need to be able to go out and perform on the ice but there are some things that dont show up on the score sheet that you look at.” Theres no debate as to whether Bolland makes any team he plays on better but, at this point, he could be a luxury the Leafs just cant afford. nike free baratas . Free-agent closer Ryan Madson and the Cincinnati Reds reached an oral agreement on an US$8. Laurent Koscielny France Jersey .5-million, one-year contract, according to a person familiar with the deal. Madson saved 32 games in 34 chances last year for NL East champion Philadelphia. Madson replaces Francisco Cordero as the closer in Cincinnati. Cordero remains a free agent after the Reds declined a $12-million option, choosing instead to pay him a $1-million buyout. Madson nearly re-signed with the Phillies, but a $44 million, four-year deal collapsed in November and days later Philadelphia reached a $50-million, four-year contract with closer Jonathan Papelbon. In 491 career games, including 18 starts, Madson is 47-30 with a 3.59 ERA and 52 saves. After years of success in a setup role, he took over for an injured Brad Lidge as Philadelphias closer last season and went 4-2 with a 2.37 ERA in 62 games. The lanky Madson allowed only two home runs and 16 walks in 60 2-3 innings. Cincinnati slipped to 79-83 last season, finishing third in the NL Central a year after winning the division. General manager Walt Jocketty has spent much of the off-season retooling his pitching staff, acquiring starter Mat Latos and left-handed reliever Sean Marshall in separate trades that cost the Reds pitchers Edinson Volquez, Travis Wood and several promising prospects. Madson is coming off a three-year deal with the Phillies that guaranteed him $12 million. He earned $5.1 million last year, including $600,000 in bonuses for games finished. DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. Devin Street Jersey . -- Memo Gidley and Matteo Malucelli were admitted to a Daytona Beach hospital Saturday night for further testing following a two-car accident right before the three-hour mark of the Rolex 24 at Daytona. IMSA officials said both drivers were awake and communicating, but gave no other information about their conditions. Gidley was driving for the pole-winning GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing team. He had to be cut out of the No. 99 Corvette, which crumpled like an accordion when he plowed into the back of Malucellis Ferrari. The cars were heading into the kink in the infield portion of the track facing directly into the sun. Malucellis car had apparently lost power -- his team said he radioed he was pulling out of the way -- as the cars headed into a high-speed turn. At the same time, Gidley tried to lap a slower car. He pulled out to the left and tried to duck under the lapped car, apparently didnt see Malucelli off the pace, and drove directly into the Ferrari at nearly full speed. The race was red-flagged as emergency workers tended to both drivers. They were placed onto stretchers, loaded into ambulances and taken to Halifax Health Medical Center, located roughly a mile outside the race track. "This stuff, it happens, its racing. But you never expect it to be your car, your team," said Gidley teammate Darren Law. Olivier Beretta, Malucellis teammate on the Risi Competizione team, saw a replay of the accident and wondered if the glare played a role in the wreck. "Its difficult to say because its the sun going down, and in this corner you dont see very well," Beretta said. "I dont know. I honestly dont know. The most important thing right now is Matteo, the rest I dont care. Its just Matteo and the other driver." Many drivers inquired about Gidleys condition. Christian Fittipaldi passed by the accident scene before the race was stopped and was concerned for Gidleys well-being. "At that point, conditions were really hard. The sun was setting. There were two points on the track where you couldnt see anything," Fittipaldi said. "One was at start-finish and the other point was coming out of Turn 3 and coming out of the kink. I imagined there was a slow car ahead of him and he couldnt see." The clock ticked off roughly 90 minutes under combined red and yellow flag following the accident before racing resumed. The sun had gone down and the drivers had turned on their headlights by the time the field went green again. The bizarre accident was yet another disappointment for the GAINSCO team, which was the surprising pole winner Thursday despite limited preseason testing and a thin budget that has the organization planning to run only five of the 13 events in the in the inaugural United SportsCar Championship season. The odds were stacked against the GAINSCO team winning the race -- since 1994 only three pole winners have reached Victory Lane in the twice-around-the-clock endurance event -- but a strong showing would have sufficed. Although the team won the pole in 2007 and finished second in 2008, it has finished no better than seventh since and had DNFs in 2010 and was 89 laps off the pace in 2012. When racing did resume, the event got its feel good moment when Wayne Taylor came out of retirement to briefly get behind the wheel of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette. The 58-year-old last raced in 2010, in this event, but was talked into driving one stint as an opportunity to join the lineup with sons with Ricky and Jordan. The opportunity came about when Ricky rejoined the team that won the Grand-AM driver championship last season with Jordan Taylor and Max Angelelli. Wayne Taylor, despite his vocal reluctance to do much in the car, seemed to be on pace as he battled Indianapolis 500 winner Tony Kanaan. "My Dad just held Tony Kanaan off for two laps. I have a very cool Dad!" Jordan Taylor posted on Twitter. The plan had been for Ricky Taylor, who started the race, to turn the car over to his father. But the driver change came as the sun was setting, and the team decided at the last minute to instead have Angelelli drive second. "When I got out of the car, there was a big glare and he has had trouble with his eyes and his old age," Ricky Taylor said, laughing slightly. "We would like to put him in in the nighttime, and preferably under yellow, because hes also a little on the shorter side. He has a big insert in his seat and we have to get him snug in there tight. We have to loosen our belts up a lot." His sons said their father has been protesting competing in the event, but they believe hes secretly enjoying himself. "After the race he will look back on it and be very happy that we made it happen and that we got through it," Ricky Taylor said. "He is hating it. He doesnt enjoy driving anymore. He always wants to get out of the car. But every time he is finished driving, hes happy." FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. Nike Roshe Run Flyknit Rendelés . -- Johnny Manziel put on the show all of Arkansas dreaded in the first half. Texas A&Ms running game and timely defence took over from there -- providing the perfect formula for the 10th-ranked Aggies 45-33 victory over the Razorbacks. A year after Manziel had his coming-out party in a 58-10 win over Arkansas, totalling 557 yards of total offence, he was back at it on Saturday night. The sophomore accounted for 253 of his 320 total yards in the first half, including two touchdown passes to Mike Evans, as the Aggies (4-1, 1-1 Southeastern Conference) came away a winner in their first trip to Fayetteville since 1990 -- when both schools were members of the Southwest Conference. The win was Texas A&Ms second straight after a loss to No. 1 Alabama, and it was the schools ninth straight on the road. Manziel finished 23-of-30 passing for 261 yards, and he rushed for 59 yards. "We asked (Manziel) to make plays, and he made plays," Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin said. "He took care of the ball. We were able to run it and be patient." Arkansas (3-2, 0-1) stayed close throughout, bolstered by the return of quarterback Brandon Allen. The sophomore missed last weeks loss to Rutgers with a shoulder injury, but he returned Saturday -- finishing 17-of-36 passing for 282 yards and two touchdowns. Arkansas had the ball down by one score or less three times in the second half, but Texas A&Ms defence held each time -- ending one drive with Deshazor Everetts interception and forcing two three-and-outs. The teams combined for 1,006 yards of offence. The Aggies, who entered the game leading the SEC in scoring at 50.2 points per game, outgained the Razorbacks 523-483 in total yardage. "We knew we had to score basically every time we had it," Arkansas coach Bret Bielema said. Manziel appeared to turn Razorback Stadium into his personal playground in the first half, zigzagging his way through the Arkansas defence on his way to 253 total yards. The Aggies led 24-20 at halftime, behind touchdown catches of 9 and 7 yards by Evans -- the second of which came over a host of Arkansas defenders and put Texas A&M up 24-10. The Aggies went up 30-20 to start the second half when Everett intercepted Allen and returned it 34 yards for a touchdown. While Manziel controlled the action for much of the first half, Texas A&M turned to its running game to hold off a renewed Arkansas offence in the second half. The Aggies rushed for 150 of their 262 yards in the second half, during which they ran the ball 29 times and threw it only seven. After the Razorbacks pulled within 31-27 on a 9-yard touchdown run by Alex Collins, Texas A&M responded with an 8-play, 68-yard touchdown drive -- with all eight plays coming on the ground. Williams capped the drive with a 17-yard touchdown run. Tra Carson had 64 yards rushing on 9 carries for the Aggies, while Ben Malena added 40 yards on 12 carries. "I think the offensive line did an excellent job," Malena said. "The coaches told us at halftime if we want to win the game, were going to have the run the ball. So the offensive line got the message." While the Aggies had little problem moving the ball, Arkansas offence surprised Texas A&M with its ability to move the ball. The Razorbacks lost at Rutgers last week after leading by 17 points in the second half. They played that game with AJ Derby at quarterback, but Bielema tweeted Friday night that Allen -- who injured his shoulder two weeks ago against Southern Mississippi -- was healthy and would return against the Aggies. The sophomore looked comfortable during warmups and even better once the game started, throwing a 12-yard touchdown pass to Keon Hatcher on Arkansas first drive. Allen also threw a pair of interceptions, including one late to Texas A&Ms Steven Jenkins that sealed the win, but his return provided a much-needed boost the Arkansas passing game. "I thought he played great," Bielema said. "... I think that last (interception) might have been more fatigue than anything. He really, basically, didnt do anything for about a week and a half." Collins led the Razorbacks with 116 yards rushing on 14 carries, and fellow freshman Hunter Henry had four catches for 109 yards. Despite the boost from Allens return, the Razorbacks once again had few answers for the reigning Heisman Trophy winner Manziel. "He did a lot of big things," Arkansas defensive end Chris Smith said. "We only got to him one time, but hes a great player. Like I said before, he made a lot of moves. Give credit to that offensive line. They were good too." Nike Air Max 90 Essential . The NFL Combine wrapped up this week and the impact on the mock drafts and predictions around the league is already being felt. nike roshe run mujer online . While some players merely solidified their standing on big boards and mock drafts, several others saw their Combine results either boost or drop their placing in the mind of scouts and general managers across the league. Some notes from the NFL Combine Two-Horse Race A look at the most recent batch of mock drafts has two players showing up more often than any others at the top spot. One wont surprise you – South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney – but one certainly could – UCF quarterback Blake Bortles. While questions about his work ethic may knock Clowney out of the top spot, his blistering 40-yard dash time (4.53) ensures that if he does fall, it wont be very far. Bortles meanwhile impressed both on the field and off. Almost all draftniks and experts consider the once unknown QB to be a legit top end prospect. Of the 15 expert mock drafts gathered for TSN.cas database, Bortles had the most first overall picks of any player. Quarterback Battle While mock drafters are slotting Bortles into the first pick (owned by the Houston Texans) more than any other quarterback, that doesnt necessarily mean hes viewed as the top quarterback. Of the 15 expert mock drafts culled by TSN.ca, Bortles had just the third highest average draft position. First was Texas A&Ms Johnny Manziel with an ADP of 3.1 followed by Louisvilles Teddy Bridgewater (3.9) and then Bortles at 4.7. Dont Forget Me While hes not in the same boat as Manziel, Bridgewater, or Bortles, Fresno States Derek Carr reportedly had a very strong NFL Combine showing, particularly while interviewing with teams. At this point Carr appears to be a mid-first round pick at best but his showing has some quarterback-needy teams considering passing on one of the top three QBs early in the draft to fill other positions, while hoping to land Carr later on. There are reports the gap between the Big Three and Carr is not very wide. Moving Up The biggest benefactors of the NFL Combine, among the early picks at least, were Auburn OT Greg Robinson and Buffalo LB Khalil Mack. Robinsons athleticism seems to have solidified him as the top offensive tackle on the board and boosted his projected status from Top 10 pick to Top 5. Robinson could even hear his name as early as second overall to the St. Louis Rams. Mack is another former potential Top 10 pick that could easily find his way into the Top 5 come May. While his destination is hard to pinpoint at this point in the evaluation process, respected NFL Network draftnik Mike Mayock said he would consider Mack with the first overall pick. Thats high praise! Moving Down The rise of Robinson and Mack is having adverse effects on players of similar talent at the same position of the two in Jake Matthews and Anthony Barr. Once considered two of the top three players in the draft (alongside Clowney) by some, Matthews and Barr are no longer locks to be Top 5 picks and thats in large part due to Robinson proving hes the better offensive tackle, and Mack proving hes far closer to Clowney than originally thought. At this point it wouldnt be shocking to see Barr fall out of the Top 10 picks (ADP currently 8.9) while even Matthews could see himself suffer the same fate (ADP currently 5.9) the way things are playing out. To be fair, in Barrs case, Mack isnt the sole reason the UCLA pass rushers stock is falling; only 15 reps on the bench press could scare away a few teams. Lions targeting a CB The Detroit Lions need help at cornerback and most draftniks expect them to get it at the draft. Of the expert mock drafts culled by TSN.ca, 86% of them have the Lions taking a cornerback 10th overall. The only question in their minds is if it will be Oklahoma States Justin Gilbert, taken by the Lions in 53% of mock drafts, or Michigan States Darqueze Dennard, taken by Detroit in 33% of mock drafts. The current draft landscape lays out with a slight drop off after the top nine players. From there its still anyones guess as to who leads the second tier of players. Many mock drafters see the Lions filling a need and taking whichever cornerback they have ranked the highest. Wide Receiver Battle This position battle is unlike the quarterback battle as Clemson standout Sammy Watkins is the clear cut top pass catcher in this years draft. The battle is for the second best receiver with USCs Marqise Lee losing his spot to Texas A&Ms Mike Evans in 80% of mock drafts gathered. The receiver class is very deep this year with good pass catchers still likely to be available midway through the second round and if Lee finds himself engulfed in the second tier of receivers, hes no lock to hear his name on the first day of the NFL Draft. The true battle could be between Evans and North Carolina tight end Eric Ebron. The difference between their ADP is currently only a couple of picks (Evans: 13.8 to Ebron:16.0). nike free 5.0 baratas . According to the UK-based Daily Mirror, Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe has agreed to a four-year offer to join Toronto FC. nike roshe run baratas . -- Rudy Gay said he didnt harbour a sense of revenge Wednesday night facing his former team -- the Toronto Raptors-- for the first time since a December trade. http://www.zapatosesonline.com/new-balance-574/new-balance-574-hombre.html . BUFFALO, N. Cheap Jerseys For Sale .Y. -- Sabres coach Ted Nolan will keep building what he started in Buffalo -- minus the interim tag. Nolan is staying on as the head coach beyond this season after signing a three-year contract extension Monday. The deal comes 4-1/2 months after Nolan returned to Buffalo for a second stint -- this time, initially, on an interim basis. And its a reward for Nolan, who has provided a spark to a young, patchwork lineup on a last-place team. "I said back in November that it was a dream to be able to come back and coach the Sabres, and thats still true today," Nolan said. "Im excited by the challenge facing our team and our organization. And Im truly thankful to have this opportunity." The extension was more of a formality than a surprise. The two sides established the framework of a contract about a month ago and agreed to the deal in principle last week. Nolan took over in mid-November after coach Ron Rolston was fired along with general manager Darcy Regier after Buffalo got off to a franchise-worst 4-15-1 start. The Sabres (20-45-9) havent done much better at 16-30-8 under Nolan and are likely to finish in last place with only two weeks left in the season. Buffalo is 1-10-1 in its past 12 games in preparing to host New Jersey on Tuesday. Record aside, rookie GM Tim Murray is impressed by the job Nolan has done during what he called "a trying situation." "I dont know if there was one Eureka moment," Murray said. "But I certainly got to the point where I knew I wanted him back, and I wanted him to be our head coach. And that wasnt yesterday or the day before." The next step is providing Nolan more talent. "We have to get him better players," Murray said. "It doesnt take a genius to figure that out." The Sabres are a shell of the team that last made the playoffs in 2011, with Nolan the teams third coach in a little over a calendar year. Regier began purging an over-priced and under-achieving roster last season. And Murray, who was hired in January, completed the overhaul in the days leading up to the NHL trade deadline on March 5. Thats when Buffalo made four trades, including one that sent goalie Ryan Miller and captain Steve Ott to St. Louis. The future looks promising with the team having stockpiled a series of first- and second-round draft picks over the next three years. Nolan has a reputation as a motivator with a solid track record of developing young players. This is Nolans second stint in Buffalo. He went 73-72-19 in two seasons before leaving in the summer of 1997 because he was unhappy with the teams one-year contract offer after being selected the NHLs coach of the year. Nolan then spent two seasons coaching the New York Islanders and led them to the playoffs in 2006-07, before being fired after the following season. Nolan also enjoyed a successful stint at the Sochi Games, where he coached Latvia to an eighth-place finish -- the countrys best in five Olympic appearances. Sabres players greeted the news of Nolans contract extension as an important first step toward establishing stability. "Hes a guy that I think is perfect for this type of rebuild as far as motivation and making sure the right guys are staying around," forward Drew Stafford said. "Its been a real challenging season, a lot of shake-ups, a lot of changes. To get that interim tag off is definitely some stability now." Nolan is staying on even though Pat LaFontaine -- the person who brought him on board -- abruptly stepped down as Sabres president of hockey operations on March 1, after only 3-1/2 months on the job. Thanking LaFontaine for the opportunity, Nolan said hes focused on the head coaching job. "Im really excited about going with the next step forward and helping shape this team into a very competitive team," Nolan said. "With Tims knowledge in getting us the right players, hopefully, I can coach them good enough to win." Cheap Jerseys China . The win gives the Jets 66 points, same as Dallas and Vancouver. Bergeron of the Boston Bruins and Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks have each finished in the top three in voting for the past three seasons, and Kopitar of the Los Angeles Kings was fourth last season. For Bergeron its an honour that underscores how much hes respected around the game for his two-way play. "I think youre always trying to work on things and I feel like the complete game is something that I take a lot of pride in and Im trying to work on," the Quebec City native said Thursday. "I think that this year I mean obviously I got the bounces offensively, but that being said it doesnt mean that I let the defensive part of the game out." Well see how it goes, but in our regards hes been the best." Scheepers lost the opening set from 4-2 up before taking control against the sixth-seeded Austrian. Earlier, Shelby Rogers of the United States routed the 16th-ranked Carla Suarez Navarro 6-4, 6-0 to reach her first career WTA quarterfinal. Rogers, ranked 147th, had not beaten a top-50 player before. She hit 11 aces and dropped serve only once while holding off 10 break points for the Spaniard, who was seeded third. PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. Rolando McClain Jersey . -- Andrew Loupe knows how one week can change everything. He can only hope his 8-under 63 in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am is the start of another one. Loupe had to wait three hours to tee off because of rain Thursday, and then he played bogey-free on the Shore Course at Monterey Peninsula. That gave him the lowest score among those who finished their rounds. Rain soaked the Monterey Peninsula in the morning, which was great news for an area desperate for rain, not so much for the tournament. Puddles quickly formed on the greens at Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill, forcing play to be stopped on all three courses. Monterey Peninsula played the easiest, and Loupe took advantage. He never had to scramble for par, missed only one fairway and only two of his birdies were over 10 feet. This was his first trip to the area, and it was everything he imagined. "This place is amazing," Loupe said with a smile as wide as a fairway. The 25-year-old from Louisiana hasnt made the cut in five starts his rookie season. Loupe might not even have a PGA Tour card except for his tie for sixth in the last event of the Web.com Tour Finals. He had missed the cut in his previous three "Finals" event. Stuart Appleby, Jim Renner, Richard Lee and Scott Gardiner had 65s at Monterey Peninsula. Phil Mickelson, a four-time champion, was at 5-under par through 15 holes when the round was stopped because of darkness. Pebble Beach played the toughest, though the weather was not nearly bad enough to make that much of a difference with only a cool breeze and no rain the rest of the day. Jimmy Walker, already a two-time winner this season, got up-and-down for birdie on the 18th for a 66, the best score at Pebble. Jordan Spieth, playing with country singer Jake Owen, had the best round at Spyglass Hill at 67. He picked up birdies on all but one of the par 5s, stuffed one close on the uphill second hold and escaped with par with a long pitch from short of the sixth green. "It was more of an effort just to really play safe on the harder holes," Spieth said. "The par 5s you can take advantage of out here. I three-putted the first par 5 for par, but bounced back on the other par 5s. And then I finally made some putts on the back nine. We picked a great day to have Spyglass." Dustin Johnson, a two-time winner of this event, had a 68 at Spyglass Hill playing with his future father-in-law, hockey great Wayne Gretzky. "More happy with the fact he was 4 under today and its a tough course," Gretzky said. "Im here for fun. Hes here for work." Johnson had to work hard for his birdie on the ninth hole. His approach struck the pin and bounced back some 40 yards off the green. He chipped that in for his third straight birdie, and then picked up another birdie on the par-5 11th. He closed with seven pars for what he believes was his first bogey-free round at Spyglass. Mike Weir of Brights Grove, Ont., shot a 1-under 70 at Monterey Peninsula. Ottawas Brad Fritsch turned in a 5-over 77 at Spyglass Hill. Graeme McDowell, back at Pebble Beach for the first time since he won the 2010 U.S. Open, opened with a 71 at Spyglass Hill. He has to wait until Saturday to play Pebble Beach with his father, Kenny. Defending champion Brandt Snedeker had a 72 at Spyglass Hill. Loupe kept reminding everyone that his 63 was only one round, though it sounded as if he was reminding himself. He is thrilled to be on the PGA Tour, and it really hit him a few weeks ago at Torrey Pines when some of the biggest stars began showing up. This wasnt the start he imagined, however -- one round out of 11 that was under par, five weekends off. He wasnt about to panic, either. "I really just stick to the plan and I know that my group is good. I have 100 per cent trust in my swing coach, my family, my trainer," he said. "I guess when youre in those ruts, I just kept telling myself, Youre supposed to be here, youre going to play good, just keep playing. This is just one round, guys, but I feel good. "I did miss a few cuts coming into Sawgrass and played good," he said of the week that secured his card in the Web.com finals. "And I just knew that I could do it again. Would I like to play more consistently? Yes. But I just want to keep this rolling." DIVOTS: Davis Love III was 2 over through 15 holes, but at least he had an amateur. Kelly Slater won the Volcom Pipe Pro 2014 on Wednesday at the Pipeline on the North Shore of Oahu, scoring a perfect 10 on one ride. He arrived at Pebble Beach about 5 a.m. Thursday. ... Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley opened with a 67 at Pebble Beach. ... Jim Furyk, in his first PGA Tour event since September, opened with a 70 at Spyglass Hill. HARRISON, N. Mason Crosby Packers Jersey .J. -- The New York Red Bulls have re-signed defender Roy Miller and goalkeeper Luis Robles. The Major League Soccer team announced the signings Monday without disclosing terms. Robles was the only Red Bull to play every minute this past season. The 29-year-old recorded 11 shutouts and a 1.21 goals against average in helping New York win its first Supporters Shield. He was tied for first in the league in wins (17), third in saves (103) and fourth in shutouts. Miller is the longest continuously tenured Red Bull, with the club since January 2010. He appeared in 17 games and had one assist before injuring his Achilles tendon in late August, which sidelined him for most of the remainder of the season. Shelly Sterlings attorney, Pierce ODonnell, said his client "will not agree to a forced or involuntary seizure of her interest." "As her lawyers we will fight vigorously to defend her property rights," he said. ODonnell said Mrs. Sterling has no interest in managing the Clippers and wants a new investor group to come in with a professional management team. ODonnell also told The Associated Press that Shelly Sterling has been separated from her husband for the last year and is considering divorce. There is no record of legal separation documents being filed, though ODonnell said the couple is living apart. Last week, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver banned Donald Sterling from the NBA for life and urged league owners to force him to sell the team. The move came after a recording surfaced in which Sterling made racist comments, telling friend V. Stiviano that he didnt want her to bring black people to Clippers games. At a news conference announcing the decision, Silver said no decision had been made regarding whether Mrs. Sterling or any other Sterling family member will be allowed to retain an ownership position. ODonnell said he spoke with NBA officials Thursday morning but declined to elaborate. He said Mrs. Sterling has been working co-operatively with Silver and his staff and supported his announcement seeking a new chief executive officer for the team and the NBAs decision to place longtime team President Andy Roeser on leave. NBA spokesman Mike Bass said the league wouldnt comment on its discussions. ODonnell said Mrs. Sterling "abhors" her husbands comments and that "the Sterlings may share the same last name, but she does not share his values on race." The Sterlings have been married 57 years, ODonnell said. John Kuhn Packers Jersey. "We abhor guilt by association in America," ODonnell said. "The sins of the husband cannot be imputed to the wife or children." Shelly and Donald Sterling faced allegations that they discriminated against tenants based on race in Los Angeles according to a lawsuit filed by U.S. Department of Justice in 2006. The Sterlings, who at the time owned and managed about 119 apartment buildings or 5,000 apartments throughout Los Angeles County, agreed to settle the suit for $2.725 million. The settlement also included two suits filed by former tenants at one of the properties, including an African-American family and an interracial married couple with biracial children, who alleged the Sterlings demolished their private yards among other actions because of their race, according to the Justice Department. "The charges against her by former tenants are false, unfounded and were never ever determined to be valid in a court of law," ODonnell said. He said the case was settled without any admission of liability. "She doesnt have a racist bone in her body," ODonnell said. Clippers coach Doc Rivers said Thursday at the teams training facility that "it would be a very hard situation" if Mrs. Sterling retained her portion of ownership in the team. "I guarantee you every person wouldnt be on board with that," Rivers said. "Whether I would or not, Im not going to say." ODonnell said Mrs. Sterling hasnt been asked to stay away from games and will not. She is an ardent Clippers fan and plans to attend Friday nights playoff game against Oklahoma City. Rivers said "thats her choice. She can be a ticket buyer or whatever." Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, a former NBA All-Star guard who was asked to serve as a spokesman for NBA players after the Sterling scandal broke, didnt immediately return a call seeking comment. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' '

LONDON -- Cristiano Ronaldo upstaged Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the battle of the superstar forwards to give Portugal the edge over Sweden in the World Cup playoffs, while Frances chances of qualifying took a big hit by losing 2-0 in Ukraine. Nike Air Max 90 Para Hombre . Ronaldo transferred his prolific scoring form for Real Madrid to the international stage, diving to head home an 82nd-minute winner and give Portugal a 1-0 cushion to take to Stockholm for Tuesdays second leg. France faces missing a major tournament for the first time since 1994 after Roman Zozulya and Andriy Yarmolenko scored second-half goals for Ukraine in a feisty match that saw both teams finish with 10 men. Kostas Mitroglous double helped Greece claim a 3-1 win over Romania and tiny Iceland overcame a sending-off early in the second half to hold on for a 0-0 draw with Croatia, keeping alive its hopes of becoming the least populous nation to reach a World Cup. All four return matches take place on Tuesday, when the 13 qualifiers from Europe will be finalized. Italy drew 1-1 with Germany and an experimental England side slumped to a 2-0 home loss to Chile in headline friendly matches as the countdown to next years World Cup begins in earnest. One of the worlds top forwards will be absent in Brazil next summer -- and it looks more likely to be Ibrahimovic, not Ronaldo. The heavily billed showdown between two of the biggest stars -- and egos -- in football looked like falling flat in Lisbon, only for Ronaldo to take centre stage like he so often does for Madrid. He dived to glance in a left-wing cross for his 44th goal in 108 international appearances, and almost added another when he headed against the crossbar late on. Ibrahimovic was largely anonymous in Lisbon and, at the age of 32, could be set to miss out on what would likely be his final World Cup campaign. Another star of the world game, Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery, may also be absent in Brazil after France tumbled to defeat in Kyiv on a night that proved to be one to forget for Laurent Koscielny. The Arsenal defender conceded the penalty that Yarmolenko converted for 2-0 in the 83rd minute, and was then sent off in stoppage time. Zozulya opened the scoring in the 61st for Ukraine, who had Oleksandr Kucher dismissed soon after Koscielny had been shown the red card. Iceland, with a population of around 320,000, is seeking a place in a major tournament for the first time but the biggest football match in the Nordic countrys history turned sour when Olafur Skulason was sent off for a professional foul in the 51st. However, goalkeeper Hannes Halldorsson and his packed defence stood firm to repel wave after wave of Croatia attacks in the second half. The 10,000 Iceland fans in the Laugardalsvollur national stadium greeted the final whistle as if their team had won. Romania appears likely to miss out on World Cup qualification for the fourth straight campaign after conceding twice in the opening 20 minutes before Mitroglou scored Greeces third in the 66th to give the 2004 European champions a strong advantage to take to Bucharest. Bogdan Stancu had equalized in the 19th for Romania, which had substitute Costin Lazar sent off for a second yellow card in stoppage time. Italy maintained its proud record of not having lost to Germany since 1995 -- but needed a 28th-minute equalizer by Ignazio Abate to preserve that run. Germany took the lead in the eighth minute through Mats Hummels and twice hit the goal frame in Milan. In another match between two World Cup qualifiers, Chile ended Englands 10-game unbeaten run thanks to Alexis Sanchezs double at Wembley Stadium. The Barcelona forward scored in the seventh minute and again in second-half injury time to deliver a reality check for England, which gave three players debuts. Nike Blazer Low Baratas . That number would belong to Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cary Williams. Williams and the Eagles secondary have been the subject of criticism all season for giving up long pass plays and touchdowns regularly. DETROIT -- The Cleveland Indians are rolling out of the All-Star break, cutting into Detroits previously comfortable lead in the AL Central. Carlos Santana hit a tiebreaking, bases-clearing double with two outs in the ninth inning, lifting the Cleveland Indians to a 5-2 win over the Detroit Tigers on Saturday night that sealed a sweep of the doubleheader. The Indians have won four straight, three in a row at Detroit, to pull within 4 1/2 games of the AL Central-leading Tigers. "Its all about making the push, little by little," Chris Dickerson said after hitting a pair of solo homers off Max Scherzer. Cleveland won the first game 6-2 thanks in large part to Corey Klubers strong outing. Dickerson sent two of Scherzers pitches -- in the third and sixth innings -- over walls to give Cleveland a 2-1 lead in the second game of the day-night doubleheader. The reigning AL Cy Young Award winner said Dickerson became the first player in his career to hit one of his curveballs over a fence in the major leagues. "Hes a good enough hitter that hes going to capitalize," Scherzer said. Cleveland acquired Dickerson earlier this month in a trade with the Pittsburgh Pirates for a player to be named or cash to add depth while Michael Bourn is out with a strained left hamstring. The 32-year-old journeyman entered the game hitless in nine at-bats against Scherzer. "Just coming out here and getting the chance to play every day, its a confidence booster," Dickerson said. The Tigers tied it in the seventh when Austin Jackson hit a two-out triple to score Eugenio Suarez from first after he beat a throw on a potential double play to extend the inning. The Indians loaded the bases in the ninth against Joe Nathan (4-3) with Roberto Perezs leadoff double, Jason Kipnis walk and Michael Brantleys free pass and Santana took advantage, sending a pitch off the right-centre wall after it popped out of Jacksons glove to turn a 3-all game into a 6-3 lead. "I rushed my glove up to try and make the catch," Jackson recalled. "I missed it, and hit the wall." Carlos Carrasco (3-3) pitched a perfect eighth and Cody Allen closed the game for his 13th save in 14 chances, but Indians manager Terry Francona was not in the mood to celebrate. ";Weve got to show up in about 10 hours," he said late Saturday night. Nike Free Flyknit Chukka Baratas. Scherzer gave up six hits, a season-high matching four walks and two runs -- both to Clevelands No. 9 hitter -- over 5 2-3 innings that included a season-high 118 pitches. He pitched with neck spasms. "Theres no excuses on ailments," Scherzer said, adding hes not concerned the problem will linger. Detroits Ian Krol and Joba Chamberlain combined to pitch 2 2-3 innings of scoreless relief before Nathan gave up two hits, two walks -- one intentional -- and struck out two in the pivotal ninth. Zach McAllister, the 26th man on the roster for the doubleheader, allowed only one run on three hits and three walks while striking out six over 5 1-13 innings. John Axford inherited Miguel Cabrera on second base and allowed him to get to third on a wild pitch, then stranded him by striking out J.D. Martinez and Torii Hunter to end the inning. Scott Atchison likely would have gotten out of the seventh inning without giving up a run if Kipnis did not appear to bobble the ball on a potential double play at second base that allowed Suarez to reach and later score on Jacksons triple. The Indians could lean on their bullpen in the nightcap because Kluber pitched so well in the first game. He came within an out of a complete game, striking out 10 to lift the Indians to a 6-2 win in the opener. Kluber allowed seven hits -- three by Miguel Cabrera -- and equaled his career high of 114 pitches. Bryan Shaw finally relieved him, but with another game still to come, Cleveland didnt have to use anyone else out of its bullpen. "That was the only guy we warmed up," Francona said. "That really helps." Kluber (10-6) has thrown one complete game in his career, on April 24 against Kansas City. Drew VerHagen (0-1) allowed three runs and five hits, lasting five innings in his major league debut. NOTES: Tigers LHP Drew Smyly (5- is scheduled to pitch in the series finale against Indians RHP Josh Tomlin on Sunday afternoon. ... Santana hit his sixth game-winning RBI this season. ... DALLAS -- Alex Chiasson broke a third-period tie with his first goal in 13 games, and Lindy Ruff earned his 600th NHL coaching victory with a 3-2 win over his former team, the Buffalo Sabres, on Monday night. Nike Air Max 90 Essential Suomi . Jamie Benns slap shot from the blue line deflected off Chiasson and past goalie Jhonas Enroth for a power-play goal at 10:25 of the third. The Stars opened a two-point lead over their closest pursuers for eighth place in the Western Conference. Ruff posted his first 571 wins with the Sabres before joining the Stars. Defencemen Jordie Benn and Alex Goligoski both scored their third goal of the season for the Stars, who overcame a 1-0 deficit. Benn had been scoreless for 11 games, and Goligoski had gone 48 without a goal. Tyler Ennis scored twice for Buffalo, with Matt Moulson assisting on both goals. The second got the Sabres even at 3:23 of the third. Dallas (29-22-10) has 68 points. Winnipeg and Vancouver each have 66. Enroth made 36 saves, and Dallas Kari Lehtonen had 21. Dallas dominated the first period everywhere but on the scoreboard as the Sabres took a 1-0 lead. The Stars recorded 14 of the first 17 shots, but failed to score on three power plays despite putting seven shots on goal. Dallas nearly gave up a short-handed goal on the third advantage, but Matt DAgostinis shot hit the crossbar. The Sabres scored on their next shot. Drew Stafford skated in on the left side, and when Dallas Trevor Daley slid on the ice to try to block a shot, Stafford passed the puck across to Ennis, who scored at 17:17. Dallas outshot the Sabres 16-5 in the period, which ended with Enroth stopping Chiassons close-range backhand. Chiasson put a team-high four shots on goal in the first, including some of the Stars best chances. Enroth had stopped Chiassons slap shot on Dallas first power play, as well as two Cody Eakin slap shots. The Stars tied it 1:30 into the second period when Benn sent a slap shot from the left point past Enroth, with help from a screen by his brother Jamie. Six seconds before the period ended, Gologoski scored. Ryan Garbutt deflected Trevor Daleys slap shot off the post. Shawn Horcoff gathered in the rebound and sent a backhanded pass across the goalmouth to Goligoski, who scored into the left side of the net. The Stars had a 12-9 advantage in shots, for a two-period total of 28-14. Buffalo tied it when Moulsons shot went over the net but bounced back off the glass to Ennis, who tucked the puck into the lower right corner. It is a major blow to Uniteds hopes of winning the Champions League, which realistically is the clubs only route back into Europes top competition next season. Following a second scan on the injury on Friday, United said Van Persie has a "sprained knee which will keep him out for around 4-6 weeks." He appears to be in no danger of missing the World Cup finals in Brazil beginning in mid-June — the worst-case scenario according to Uniteds diagnosis is that Van Persie is out until the start of May, leaving him available for the last two or three league games in Uniteds season. Van Persie, who has scored 23 goals in 29 games for club and country this season, was carried off on a stretcher after hurting his knee in a challenge from behind toward the end of Wednesdays 3-0 victory over Olympiakos, in which he scored a hat trick to send his teeam into the last eight. Nike Free 5.0 Lovers Training Kengät musta/tumma harmaa Mens/Womens. United is seventh in the Premier League after its humiliating 3-0 loss to Liverpool last weekend, 12 points adrift of fourth-place Manchester City having played two more games. A finish in the top six would qualify United for next seasons Europa League, and sixth-place Everton is three points ahead with a game in hand. It will be a second significant spell on the sidelines for Van Persie this season — he played just two games across 2 1/2 months over the turn of the year because of groin then thigh problems. The news punctures some of the optimism that has spread through Old Trafford after the victory over Olympiakos, which came just as the pressure was beginning to build on manager David Moyes. Moyes has Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez as alternatives up front to partner Wayne Rooney. Otherwise, Moyes could decide to play Rooney as his main striker and move Juan Mata, signed in January for a record fee of 37.1 million pounds ($61.2 million), into his favoured No. 10 role just in behind. Mata has played out wide in recent games, to little effect. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' '

BOSTON -- Lyle Overbay watched the Red Sox receive their championship rings, knowing how close he came to getting one. Nike Free 3.0 Womens Sale . Then he got back at the team that released him five days before the start of last season, hitting a tiebreaking double in the ninth inning of the first game at Fenway Park since Boston won the World Series last October. That sparked a four-run inning against Edward Mujica that lifted the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-2 win Friday. Getting released "was disappointing because I knew that they had a pretty good chance," Overbay said. "Its no hard feelings or anything. It was just a matter of trying to squeak in for a couple of weeks, anyway." During a nearly hour-long pregame ceremony, Red Sox players received their rings for winning the clubs third title in 10 years. But then the Brewers ended Bostons streak of wins in nine straight home openers. "It was a special day for us," Bostons Will Middlebrooks said. "It was emotional. For all of the guys that were a part of it last year, its a special journey we were on." Khris Davis doubled off Mujica (0-1), who made his Boston debut, and took third when Scooter Gennett reached on a sacrifice bunt. Overbay doubled to right for a 4-2 lead, advanced on the throw and scored on Carlos Gomezs fourth single of the game. Aramis Ramirez added an RBI single. Mujica was the St. Louis Cardinals closer for much of last season, then lost that job last September and did not pitch in the World Series against the Red Sox. He signed a $9.75 million, two-year deal with Boston. "They came out swinging against Mujica," Boston manager John Farrell said. "Knowing hes been in the National League Central, theyre familiar with him. At the same time, Edwards had a lot of success against that lineup. Mislocated a couple of balls, and he paid for it." Ryan Braun was 0 for 5 and was booed each time he came to the plate in his first road game following his 65-game suspension last season. Four days earlier, home fans applauded the 2011 NL MVP loudly during Milwaukees season opener. "I certainly wasnt anticipating a reception like I got in Milwaukee," Braun said. "Ive had plenty of experience dealing with it and I think regardless of how challenging anything is, the more you deal with it, the easier it becomes to deal with." Bostons winning streak in home openers was tied with Cincinnati (1983-91) for third-longest in major league history and ended behind 11 straight by the New York Yankees (1998-0 and 10 by Pittsburgh (1945-54). "This is a really intimidating place to come," Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said. "The adrenaline that flows in this place is amazing." Brandon Kintzler (1-0) pitched a scoreless inning for the win, and Francisco Rodriguez pitched the ninth in a non-save situation. Each starter allowed two runs, Marco Estrada in 5 2-3 innings for Milwaukee and Jake Peavy in six innings for Boston. Milwaukee took a 2-0 lead in the second on Jonathan Lucroys first homer of the season and Gomezs two-out, run-scoring single. Boston scored in the bottom half with the help of an error by right fielder Logan Schafer, who misplayed Grady Sizemores single for an error that scored Mike Napoli. Middlebrooks homered in the third. NOTES: Brewers reliever Will Smith allowed two walks with two wild pitches but no runs or hits in 1 1-3 innings. ... New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady attended the game. ... Milwaukee RHP Wily Peralta stumbled and fell as he ran to the third-base line when Brewers players were introduced before the game. Tre Mason rushed for 168 yards and four touchdowns as No. 8 Auburn earned their first-year coach a 35-17 win in his return to Arkansas. Mason scored on runs of 9, 4 and 5 and 12 yards as the Tigers (8-1, 4-1 Southeastern Conference) won their fifth in a row in Malzahns first game in Fayetteville since leaving the Razorbacks as an assistant following the 2006 season. Auburns Nick Marshall, returning from a shoulder injury, accounted for 177 yards of total offence, including an 88-yard touchdown throw to Sammie Coates. Jonathan Williams had 104 yards rushing and Alex Collins added 92 on the ground for Arkansas (3-6, 0-5), which has now lost six in a row. Its the longest losing streak for the Razorbacks since a seven-game stretch in 1990. Much of the discussion leading up to the game involved Malzahns return to his native state, as well as his budding rivalry with first-year Arkansas coach Bret Bielema. The two engaged in a bit of back and forth regarding player safety in a hurry-up offence this summer, and Bielema stoked the fire earlier this week by accusing Auburn of being less-than forthcoming in game video it shared with the Razorbacks. Bielema and Malzahn briefly shook hands before the game, but it was Mason who quickly turned into the centre of attention -- leading a Tigers offence that finished with 233 yards rushing. Masons third touchdown put Auburn up 28-3 to open the second half, helping secure Malzahns first win in four tries at Arkansas. The former high school cooach in the state was 0-3 in Fayetteville as an opposing assistant coach with Tulsa and the Tigers, but he left with a convincing win after his first trip home as a head coach. Victor Jersey. Auburn hasnt lost since a 35-21 setback at LSU on Sept. 21. The Tigers were 3-9 last season under former coach Gene Chizik, but theyve found renewed belief under Malzahn. Arkansas, meanwhile, has struggled mightily under its first-year coach, falling to 0-5 in the SEC for just the second time since joining the conference in 1992. After opening the season with three straight wins, the Razorbacks have now lost six games in a row -- lately in convincing fashion. Zach Hockers 34-yard field goal in the second quarter closed Auburns lead to 7-3, and it was Arkansas first points since the opening quarter against South Carolina on Oct. 12. The points snapped a streak in which the Razorbacks had been outscored 121-0. The Razorbacks did close to within 28-17 early in the fourth quarter after a 2-yard touchdown run by Kiero Small, but even the rally wasnt without a show of gamesmanship by Bielema , who said the Tigers had cut out the swinging gate portion of a point-after attempt on the shared video. Smalls touchdown came after Arkansas converted a fourth down, using a play in which the Razorbacks lined up for the first time this season in a swinging gate formation. Even the subtle shot across the field wasnt enough for Arkansas to overcome Mason, who responded shortly afterward with his fourth touchdown run, a 12-yard score that put the Tigers up 35-17. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' '

TORONTO -- If the eye-catching smile doesnt get you, the electric play on the basepaths will. cheap jerseys . Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Jose Reyes gets peoples attention with his unique brand of baseball. Hes a dynamo with great range in the field and track star speed. And over the last week or two, he finally looks like the Reyes of old. The three-time all-star, one of the key pieces in a November 2012 blockbuster trade with Miami, was hampered by injury problems in his first season in Toronto. It was more of the same earlier this year as a tight hamstring kept him out of the lineup for a few weeks. Once he returned, it took some time for Reyes to find his rhythm. The leadoff hitter has found it now and his play is a big reason why the Blue Jays have moved to the top of the American League East division standings. "He makes us that much better," said Blue Jays manager John Gibbons. "Hes really the catalyst because hes up at the top of the lineup." A revitalized starting rotation and homer-happy lineup are two big reasons why the Blue Jays are flying high. But Reyes has provided the powerful Toronto offence with a real edge since his return. With impressive bat skills and a constant threat to run, Reyes offers a nice contrast to the big swingers like Melky Cabrera, Edwin Encarnacion and Jose Bautista who usually follow him in the order. Pitchers have a hard time concentrating on the plate with a speedster like Reyes on base. "Hes so capable of stirring things up," said Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon. "Hes one of those catalysts. Theres a few real catalytic players in the game and hes one of them." Reyes, who had three hits in Wednesdays 3-2 win over the Rays, had an 11-game hitting streak end a night later. He had his first three-steal game as a Blue Jay last weekend and wowed the Rogers Centre crowd by scoring from second base on a groundout. "Hes one of those guys thats hard to take your eye off of when youre watching a baseball game," said Toronto second baseman Steve Tolleson. "Hes able to do so many things offensively and defensively. Defensively hes able to play a little bit deeper than most shortstops because he has a tremendous arm and he has the speed to close in on balls that he needs to. "Hes in an elite group when it comes to that. Hes been a lot of fun to watch." However, Reyes isnt immune to the occasional hiccup in the field. He made a throwing error on a potential game-ending ground ball Thursday night and the Royals came back to win 8-6 in 10 innings. He took full ownership for the miscue after the game. "This is baseball, sometimes mistakes are going to happen," Reyes said. "I just have to learn from it." Despite the occasional negative, the native of Santiago, Dominican Republic brings plenty of positives to the diamond. In a game earlier this week, Reyes dropped a soft bunt down in his first at-bat. He accelerated like a shot and seemed to be halfway down the first-base line by the time the pitcher left the mound to retrieve the ball before conceding the single. When the next batter belted one off the wall, Reyes was quickly in full flight and scored with a head-first slide. Its the kind of get-your-jersey-dirty, fast-paced style that fans and teammates love. "The last few weeks my leg feels good," Reyes said. "Its good to play pain-free. I dont have to worry about anything. Before, four or five weeks ago, I still had a little concern with my hamstring being 100 per cent. "But right now its 110 per cent." Reyes, 30, who won a batting title with the New York Mets in 2011, has seen his average rise as his comfort level returned. Entering the game against the Royals, he has reached base safely in 24 of his last 25 games. The three-time National League stolen base leader (2005-07) has also swiped 11 bags over the last 25 games entering Thursdays matchup. His well-rounded game is a big reason why Torontos offence is so feared. "When they made the trade and brought him in last year, I think thats what everybody kind of envisioned," Gibbons said. "Hes been banged up a little bit since hes been here but now hes healthy. "What hes doing now is really what hes done his whole career and so I think people are just really getting a look at it." Reyes also brings an infectious personality to the ballpark and is usually the first one out of the dugout to congratulate his teammates. More than anything, he has the ability to put the Blue Jays in a position to manufacture runs. Whether through stolen bases, sacrifices or just aggressive base-running, Reyes can often secure that extra base and create more scoring opportunities. "Im capable of doing a lot of stuff," Reyes said.
