Backup Drew Stanton did just fine. Stanton threw a pair of third-quarter touchdown passes to rookie John Brown and the Cardinals rallied to beat San Francisco 23-14 on Sunday. Arizona snapped a four-game losing streak and beat the 49ers for just the second time in their last 11 meetings. Tommy Kelly blocked a field goal for the Cardinals (3-0), who outscored San Francisco 17-0 in the second half. The 49ers (1-2) mounted 80-yard touchdown drives the first two times they had the ball, then didnt score again, blowing a halftime lead for the second week in a row. Stanton, starting for injured Carson Palmer for the second straight week, completed 18 of 33 passes for 244 yards and two scores. He has yet to be intercepted. Michael Floyd caught five for 114 yards. The Cardinals, alone atop the NFC West, have a bye next week. "It sets the table for some really good things to come," Stanton said. The 49ers Colin Kaepernick completed 29 of 37 passes for 245 yards and a touchdown and ran for another 54. A week ago, San Francisco led 17-7 and lost at home to Chicago 28-20. This season, San Francisco has outscored opponents 59-16 in the first two quarters, but been outscored 52-3 in the second half. Coach Jim Harbaugh, a man of very few words after the loss, was asked if he had an explanation for the second-half troubles. "No, I dont," he said. "Weve just got to play better. Were not playing good enough right now." The 49ers were up 14-6 at the break this time before Stanton connected with Brown on touchdown passes of 24 and 21 yards. "Coming out the whole practice, the game plan was around me to try to get the ball in my hands more," Brown said, "because a lot of people are looking at Larry (Fitzgerald) and Michael. It just opened up big-time, so I was just prepared for it." Stanton said Brown is so smooth and fast. "If you blink, he might be on the other side of you," Stanton said, "and then its over." Stanton quarterbacked the Cardinals to a 25-14 road win over the New York Giants a week ago, his first regular-season game since 2010. He was even sharper against San Francisco. Afterward he said his first NFL start, back in 2009, was against the 49ers. He threw three interceptions and was benched at halftime. He said "a little bit of weight" had been liffted from his shoulders. Tracy Mcgrady Hawks Jersey. "Im just so fortunate and blessed really to be able to be in this opportunity," Stanton said, "because most guys that go four years without a start, theyre not around the league too long." Arizona showed no sign of being distracted after backup running back Jonathan Dwyer was arrested on a domestic abuse charge earlier in the week. Dwyer has been placed on a non-football injury list and is gone for the season. "For us to go undefeated in September is a huge step forward with all the things that have gone on the past two weeks," Arizona coach Bruce Arians said. "I love the resiliency of our football team, the focus that they bring every single day to work." San Francisco was penalized nine times for 107 yards, and Anquan Boldin felt some of them were undeserved, something he said has been a pattern. "Every week is the same thing," Boldin said. "You send the tape in and the NFL reports back that we made a mistake but at the same time (that) is costing us games. At some point, they need to be held accountable." The 49ers were without tight end Vernon Davis (ankle injury) and his backup Vance McDonald (knee), as well as starting right tackle Anthony Davis (hamstring) and cornerback Tramaine Brock (toe). Palmer remained sidelined with a nerve problem in his throwing shoulder. A late-hit penalty on Dan Skuta, followed on the next play by a roughing-the-passer call against Patrick Willis, accounted for nearly half of Arizonas go-ahead 66-yard touchdown driver. On third-and-8 from the Cardinals 17, Stanton lofted a 45-yarder to Floyd for the drives big play. Stanton found Brown alone again from 21 yards out for the score. Down 20-14, San Francisco drove to the Arizona 5 but an unnecessary roughness penalty against Boldin for head-butting the Cardinals Tony Jefferson pushed the 49ers back. Then, the 6-foot-6, 310-pound Kelly knocked down Dawsons field goal try and the Cardinals Ed Stinson pounced on it near midfield. Chandler Catanzaros third field goal of the afternoon, from 35 yards, sealed it in the waning seconds. NOTES: The Cardinals lost cornerback Antonio Cromartie in the first half to a knee injury. ... Previously, the 49ers lone loss to the Cardinals since 2008 was on Dec. 11, 2011. ... San Francisco plays its next two at home, against Philadelphia and Kansas City. ... The July 7 trial will look at the trusts terms alone and not focus on whether the 80-year-old Sterling is mentally incapacitated, Superior Court Judge Michael Levanas said Monday. Attorneys will argue about whether Shelly Sterling properly followed the terms of the trust in declaring Donald Sterling to be mentally incapacitated and what happens to a deal that hasnt been closed once a trust is revoked. Shelly Sterling struck a deal to sell the team to Ballmer in May after Donald Sterlings racist remarks to a girlfriend were publicized and the NBA moved to oust him as an owner. She had two doctors examine her husband and they declared that he was mentally incapacitated and unable to act as an administrator of The Sterling Family Trust, which owns the Clippers. The terms of the trust say incapacitation can be determined by two licensed doctors without ties to the family who are specialists in their field. In court filings, Donald Sterlings attorneys argued that he submitted to medical examination under false pretenses, there was undue influence in the doctors findings, and that the examination and letters regarding his mental capacity were defective and incomplete. "There was no duping," Shelly Sterlings attorney Pierce ODonnell said Monday. Donald Sterlling voluntarily went to Cedars Sinai Imaging Center to get scans of his brain and there was no requirement to remind Donald Sterling, who is an attorney, or his legal team of the trusts conditions, ODonnell wrote in court filings. Miguel Montero Cubs Jersey. The judge said another issue likely to be "front and centre" during the trial is what happens to a deal that hasnt been closed when a trust is revoked. Donald Sterling revoked the trust on June 9 — weeks after Shelly Sterling negotiated the deal with Ballmer. Shelly Sterlings attorneys contend that finishing the deal is part of winding down the trusts affairs and that she has an obligation to close the deal or Ballmer will sue. But Donald Sterlings attorneys argue that a revocation means probate court has no jurisdiction and that winding down affairs refers to passive actions, not a sale that markedly changes the assets in the trust and its value. Timing has been an issue throughout the proceedings and the judge denied the request by Donald Sterlings attorneys to postpone the trial. An expedited timetable was put forward from the beginning because NBA owners must approve what would be a record breaking deal and are scheduled to meet July 15 to vote. Thats the same day Ballmers offer is set to expire — and there is no deal without the judges approval of the sale. If the sale isnt completed by Sept. 15, the league said it could seize the team and put it up for auction. ___ Tami Abdollah can be followed at http://www.twitter.com/latams Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

CHICAGO - Mike Dunleavy scored all of his 21 points in the second half, Joakim Noah flirted with another triple-double and the Chicago Bulls posted a 111-87 wire-to-wire victory over the Houston Rockets on Thursday night. Washington Nationals T-shirts . Noah finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists in 34 minutes. He was headed for his fourth triple-double of the season, but sat down with about three minutes left because of the lopsided score. Kirk Hinrich scored 19 points for Chicago, going 5 for 6 on 3-pointers, Carlos Boozer added 18 points, D.J. Augustin 13 and Jimmy Butler 11. The Bulls improved to 2-2 on their six-game home stand. So is Anthony Bennett, the much-maligned No. 1 pick in the NBA draft. As the Cavaliers avenged a 44-point loss to Sacramento with a 109-99 win over the Kings on Tuesday night, Bennett had 19 points and 10 rebounds -- both career highs -- in Clevelands third straight win. "Youre starting to see a little bit of what we see in practice and the reason why we drafted him," Cavaliers coach Mike Brown said. "Hes a talented young man and hes starting to come to life a little bit. Hes even better than what you saw tonight." Former general manager Chris Grant, who was fired last week, was roundly criticized for taking Bennett with the first pick in June, but the rookie from UNLV has made major strides after being a non-factor until mid-January. "Anthony Bennett kicked our butt," Kings coach Michael Malone said. "Im sure Chris Grant is smiling at home -- and deservedly so -- because that was his No. 1 pick." Bennett was smiling, too. Asked when the last time he had fun playing basketball he said, "I dont remember, but today was one of those days." Bennett hit two 3-pointers in a little over a minute in the second quarter and scored 11 points in the first half. His 3-pointer with 4:40 left in the game gave Cleveland a 100-85 advantage. Bennett was aggressive going to the basket -- going to the line nine times. Bennett had shoulder surgery before the draft and didnt play in the summer league. He adjusted slowly once the season began, and his minutes were limited when he played. That has changed. "It feels great," Bennett said. "All the hard work Ive put in with the players and coaching staff is paying off." Brown began giving him playing time last month after he showed progress in practice. "Its not anything that all of a sudden happened overnight," Brown said. "Hes a good basketball player. He can pass it. He can shoot it. He can run the floor. He can finish in traffic. He can rebound." Luol Deng led the Cavaliers with 22 points, and Dion Waiters added 20. The Cavaliers, beaten 124-80 in Sacramento on Jan. 12, took a double-figure lead early in the second quarter and were in control the remainder of the game. Cleveland has won three in a row for the second time this season. Cleveland also won threee straight from Dec. Chris Heisey Nationals Jersey. 7-13. The Cavaliers will go for a season-high, four-game winning streak in their final game before the All-Star break on Wednesday at Detroit. Cleveland has won all three games since Grant was fired. DeMarcus Cousins scored 21 points to lead the Kings, who have lost 10 of 12 and seven straight on the road. The Cavaliers built a 67-49 lead in the third quarter. The Kings cut their deficit to seven points early in the fourth, but Cleveland went on a 7-0 run, sparked by Kyrie Irvings 3-pointer, to go ahead 91-77. Irving, who was 3 of 14 with seven points in the first meeting, had 13 points and six assists. The Cavaliers broke a three-game losing streak against the Kings. Cousins, taking advantage of a matchup with Cleveland centre Tyler Zeller, had 11 points and six rebounds in the first quarter. The Cavaliers played without starting centre Anderson Varejao, who missed the game with a sore back. Cousins didnt score again in the half. The Cavaliers used a combination of Zeller, Tristan Thompson and Henry Sims in an attempt to neutralize Cousins, who was averaging 22.7 points going into the game. The 6-foot-11 centre attempted only two more shots the rest of the game and was 11 of 16 from the foul line. "The effort wasnt there," Cousins said. "It was just bad overall. I dont really have an answer, but whatever it is, it needs to be fixed. After the All-Star break, well start fresh, which is what we need right now." Tristan Thompson had 16 points and 13 points for the Cavaliers. Isaiah Thomas scored 16 points, and Rudy Gay added 14 for the Kings. Sacramento has dropped the first three games of a four-game trip that ends Wednesday against New York. The Kings are 6-19 on the road. C.J. Miles (sore right foot) also missed the game for Cleveland. NOTES: Asked to describe Varejaos injury, Brown said, "With Andy, its his back and really his whole body that is sore, so it will be good to get him some rest, but obviously, you hope that its not a long-term thing." ... Varejao wont travel to Detroit ... Malone spent five seasons as an assistant under Brown with the Cavaliers from 2005-10. ... VANCOUVER -- Jonathan Huberdeau scored the only goal of the shootout Tuesday as the Florida Panthers defeated the Vancouver Canucks 3-2. Alonzo Mourning Jersey . Shawn Matthias and Brad Boyes had the goals for Florida (6-12-4), which got 27 saves from Tim Thomas. Jannek Hansen and Chris Higgins scored in regulation for Vancouver (11-8-4). Roberto Luongo finished with 34 saves through regulation and overtime as the Canucks lost their fifth straight. Vancouver has scored just six goals over that five-game slide. The Canucks killed off a full two-minute penalty in overtime, with Luongo making a huge pad stop on Huberdeau. Vancouver then poured it on in the final minute of the extra period, but couldnt find a way past Thomas. The 39-year-old goalie, who led the Boston Bruins to the 2011 Stanley Cup in a memorable seven-game victory over Vancouver, had not given up a goal at Rogers Arena since Game 5 of the final. Playing in just his second game back after a long absence with a lower-body injury, Hansen jumped on a bad clearing attempt from Panthers forward Tomas Fleischmann and wired a shot past Thomas for his third of the season at 2:35 of the final period to tie snap a 1-1 tie. After the teams exchanged chances, Matthias brought the Panthers back to level terms by ripping his third of the season past Luongo from the slot at 8:34. Down 1-0 after a lacklustre first period, the Canucks came out with some renewed intensity in the second and were rewarded when Higgins beat Thomas through a maze of legs for his seventh goal of the season at 3:26. Thomas, who won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP with Boston back in 2011, then made a big stop on Canucks forward Alexandre Burrows before Daniel Sedin sent a shot from the right faceoff circle just wide. Luongo didnt have much to do in a second period that lost steam after Vancouvers initial surge, but did make a good save on streaking Panthers forward Nick Bjugstad with under two minutes to go. Florida opened the scoring at 3:43 of the first period against the NHLs No. 1 penalty killing unit. With Canucks forward Jannik Hansen off in the box for goaltender interference, Aleksander Barkovs shot off the post bounced right to Boyes, who beat a down-and-out Luongo for his eighth of the season. That goal seemed to stun the Canucks, who looked like a team that thought they were going to have an easy night against the second-worst team in the Eastern Conference. Vancouvers 26th-ranked power play went to work midway through the period, but the Panthers had the best chance when Luongo was forced to make a big save on a Marcel Goc breakaway. Arlington, TX (SportsNetwork. Lucas Nogueira Jersey .com) - Carson Palmer threw three touchdown passes and the Arizona Cardinals took advantage of Tony Romos absence in recording a 28-17 win over the reeling Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. With Romo held out after sustaining two small fractures in his back during Mondays overtime loss to Washington, the Cowboys offense wasnt the same with backup Brandon Weeden at the controls. Dallas (6-3) mustered a meager 266 total yards and didnt produce an offensive touchdown until Dez Bryants 3-yard touchdown grab from Weeden with 1:08 remaining. Weeden completed just 18-of-33 passes for 183 yards and tossed a pair of interceptions, while Bryant -- shadowed by Patrick Peterson for most of the game -- didnt register a catch until the late TD drive. The Cardinals third-ranked run defense also limited DeMarco Murray to 79 yards on 19 carries, the first time the star running back was held under 100 in nine outings this season. Palmer shook off an early interception that Tyler Patmon returned 58 yards for a touchdown to finish 22-of-34 for 249 yards for the NFC-leading Cardinals (7-1), who ended a string of 14 consecutive regular-season losses in Dallas and are off to their best eight-game start since 1974. Andre Ellington totaled 95 rushing yards on 21 attempts in the win, while adding 39 yards and a touchdown on four receptions. A day that ultimately ended in frustration got off to a very promising beginning for Dallas, as Weeden was handed a 7-0 lead before he even took a snap. Palmers down-the-middle throw into coverage on the opening drive was picked off by Patmon, with the rookie cornerback racing untouched along the sideline just over four minutes into the contest. Weeden guided the Cowboys to a field goal on his initial series, aided by a well-executed screen that Lance Dunbar turned into a 40-yard gain to set up Dan Baileys 52-yard field goal. Arizona answered with its best drive of the first half, a 13-play, 80-yard sequence in which Palmer went 5-for-7 and converted three third-down chances, the last coming on his 7-yard bullet to John Carlson that got the Cardinals within 10-7 early in the second quarter. After Dallas next two possessions went three-and-out, Arizona marched 63 yards in eight plays to move ahead. A 20-yard catch-and-run by Ellington brought the Cardinals into the red zone, and Palmer hit Jaron Brown on a third-down slant route three plays later for an 11-yard touchdown 4:34 prior to the intermission. Murrays powerful 17-yard run just before the two-minute warning got the Cowboys to the Arizona 16 and positioned Bailey for another field goal try. However, Justin Bethel swooped in to block the kick and keep the Cardinals up 14-10 at intermission. The Cowboys defense kept them in it through three quarters of play, but mistakes continued to plague Dallas on the other side of the ball. Weeden was intercepted by Tyrann Mathieu at the Cardinals 10-yard line on Dallas second drive of the second half, and Murray was stuffed by Deone Bucannon on 4th-and-1 from the Arizona 34 to thwart another scoring chance with 9:36 remaining. The Cardinals proceeded to churn out 65 yards in nine plays to create a two- score differential. Ted Ginn Jr. came down with an acrobatic 27-yard catch at the Dallas 28 and Ellington followed with a 17-yard run in front of Larry Fitzgeralds 10-yard reception to the Dallas one. Shortly after, Palmer found a wide-open Ellington in the flat for a short touchdown that gave Arizona a 21-10 lead with six minutes to play. Antonio Cromartie then jumped a route to intercept Weeden deep in Dallas territory on the ensuing possession, with the turnover leading to Marion Grices 1-yard touchdown that all but sealed the outcome with 4:20 left. Weeden engineered a 12-play, 87-yard drive in the closing moments that was capped with Bryants snare of a fade toss in the end zone. Game Notes The Cardinals most recent regular-season win in Dallas occurred on Oct. 29, 1989, though they did come through with a 20-7 victory in Texas Stadium in a 1998 NFC Wild Card game ... Cowboys middle linebacker Rolando McClain left with an apparent leg injury in the fourth quarter ... Dallas also played without a pair of offensive line starters in right tackle Doug Free (fractured foot) and guard Ronald Leary (groin) ... The Cardinals now are plus-10 in turnover margin for the season ... Brown and Grice each scored their first career touchdowns ... Bethels blocked field goal was Arizonas 18th since 2008, the most in the NFL over that span ... Weeden fell to 5-16 as a starter for his career. The Spaniard had to pass a medical examination on Thursday and another after Practice One in Shanghai having been forced to miss the previous race in Bahrain following his huge accident in Melbourne.Alonso completed five laps in Fridays opening session, before proving his fitness with 31 laps in Practice Two. I felt good. Obviously I missed a lot the feeling of being in the car even if we are not super competitive. I love what I do and I love to be in the car racing, he told Sky Sports F1.There was a little bit of pain, which is no surprise as the rib still has a little bit of a fracture - that is normal - and also it is a circuit that has very long right-handers, which is not a good combination. But the pain is manageable and there is no other risk with being in the car, so that is the positive thing. It was important to be in the car today and then to do some laps as we have rain forecast for qualifying so today was the only time to test the dry tyres for the race on Sunday. We are happy with the results, we need to find a little bit more performance in the car as I think we can be more competitive compared to what we saw today. We need to work on that tonight.McLaren finished Practice Two 11th and 12th on the timesheets, but both their drivers felt Pirelli had set the mandatory minimum tyre pressures too high.I think everyone is really struggling with the tyres out there with graining and overheating. The minimum pressures are very high and it is tough for everyone out there, said Jenson Button. They are massively high, the minimum pressures we can run, so the tyres overheat immediately so it is a quite a big issue, particularly on the longer runs. PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin remains convinced linebacker LaMarr Woodley is an impact player when healthy

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin remains convinced linebacker LaMarr Woodley is an impact player when healthy. Luis Aparicio White Sox Jersey . "Hes been solid," Tomlin said. "Not only this season but over the course of his career." Heres something else Woodley has become: injury prone. The Steelers placed Woodley on injured reserve Tuesday with a strained right calf, ending Woodleys season and perhaps his time patrolling the left side of Pittsburghs 3-4 defence. He limped off the field in the first quarter of Sundays 30-20 win over Cincinnati and did not return. Tomlin ruled Woodley out of this weekends game at Green Bay. With Pittsburgh (6- all but out of the playoff picture, the team moved Woodley to IR later to the day to give the club some roster flexibility. Pittsburgh signed journeyman linebacker Jamaal Westerman to take Woodleys spot on the 53-man roster, though quickly improving Jason Worilds will start in Woodleys place against the Packers (7-6-1). Woodley is in the third year of a six-year, $61.5 million contract he signed in August, 2011. The 29-year-old is scheduled to be Pittsburghs second-highest paid player next season behind quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, with a salary cap hit of $13.59 million. Considering the teams significant cap issues, the emergence of Worilds and rookie Jarvis Jones and Woodleys spotty healthy history, he could be expendable by the summer. Its a path that seemed unthinkable three years ago. Woodley appeared to be the next great Steelers linebacker after racking up 35 sacks from 2008-10, helping lead Pittsburgh two a pair of AFC championships and one Super Bowl title. The day he signed his extension in 2011, Woodley talked at length about wanting "to leave my stamp when Im done playing here." His work is only half finished. Woodley hasnt played a full 16-game schedule since 2010. He missed six games in 2011 and three more in 2012 with hamstring issues. He appeared back to his usual self early this season, recording a sack in four straight games at one point. It all changed during a 23-10 win over Buffalo last month, when he tweaked his left calf. Despite saying repeatedly he felt optimistic about his chances, he spent three weeks on the sideline watching Worilds flourish in his absence. Considered on the way out after the Steelers chose Jones in the first round of last Aprils draft, Worilds instead has blossomed. Following a slow start, he played so well the Steelers decided to make Jones a role player while giving Worilds the bulk of the playing time at right outside linebacker. Worilds moved to the left side, where he played in college, after Woodley went down and his production has skyrocketed. Worilds leads the Steelers with 7.0 sacks and has evolved into more than just a pass rush specialist. When Woodley returned against Miami two weeks ago, the Steelers actually moved him to the right side for the first time in his career so Worilds could continue to work on the left side. Though he will be a free agent after the season, Worilds wont come close to commanding the kind of money Woodley will be due if Woodley stays on the roster in 2014. Throw in the teams significant investment in Jones and Woodley could be part of a sizable roster makeover in the off-season if the Steelers miss the playoffs for the second straight year. While Tomlin agreed Jones needs to work on his upper body strength to deal with left tackles who outweigh him by 50 pounds or more, Tomlin is pleased with Jones progress. Jones has just one sack but has shown an ability to get around the ball. He batted down a Cincinnati 2-point conversion attempt last week, keeping the Bengals two scores behind. "Although his numbers might not be jumping off the page at you, I really think that hes settling in and playing harder and faster and displaying understanding at an increased rate every week," Tomlin said. "I think thats an element of playing well and producing plays. Youve got to know what to do." NOTES: Tomlin said defensive end Brett Keisel, who has missed four of the last five games with plantar fasciitis in his left foot, will "definitely" practice on Thursday and could play against the Packers. .... Nose tackle Steve McLendon, who has sat out the last two games with an ankle injury, is also expected to practice at some point. Luke Appling Jersey . Warren made six birdies and a bogey for a 5-under total of 139 to sit one shot ahead of Felipe Aguilar of Chile, who carded a 69. David Horsey of England was also on 5 under through 15 holes to join Warren atop the leaderboard before play was stopped. Alex Avila Jersey . De La Rosa pitched six strong innings to win his sixth consecutive decision, Todd Helton homered and the Colorado Rockies snapped the Los Angeles Dodgers six-game winning streak with a 7-5 victory on Wednesday night. http://www.whitesoxauthorityshop.com/Melky-Cabrera-Jersey/ . But luckily for the Canadian squad, one goal was all it needed. Winnipegs Sophie Schmidt scored the winner off a Diana Matheson corner kick to seal Canadas third-place spot in the Torneio Internacional de Futebol Feminino in Brazil on Sunday.PEORIA, Ill. -- Wichita State is all alone in the record book. Again using a balanced offence and tenacious defence, the second-ranked Shockers became the first Division I team to reach 30-0 in the regular season with a 69-49 victory over Bradley on Tuesday night. "To be the first and only team in college basketball to win 30 without a loss in the regular season," Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall said when asked about his theme for the game. "I realize were playing more games ... but it has never happened in the regular season. "So its a first. And these guys like to be the first, and the best." Ron Baker had 15 points to lead four Wichita State players in double figures as the Shockers became the 11th team to reach 30-0, the previous 10 all hitting the 30-win mark during post-season play. The last team to reach 30-0 was UNLV in 1990-91. The Runnin Rebels went 34-0 that season before losing to Duke in the national semifinals. The Shockers (30-0, 17-0 Missouri Valley Conference) have one more regular-season game, at home Saturday against Missouri State. The last team to finish a regular season unbeaten was Saint Josephs in 2003-04 at 27-0. The next season, Illinois got to 29-0 before losing its regular-season finale at Ohio State. A barrage of 3-pointers early in the second half broke it open for Wichita State, which beat Bradley (12-18, 7-10) for the 10th straight time and second this season. After Bradley trimmed a 10-point halftime deficit to eight, Shockers point guard Fred VanVleet made consecutive 3s for a 14-point lead, the visitors largest to that point. By the 12:50 mark, Cleanthony Early had added a 3-pointer and Baker made two 3s off screens for a 50-32 lead. Wichita State finished the game 11 of 21 from beyond the arc, with four players making two or more. Bradley was 4 of 14. "End-of-shot-clock 3s. That was it," Bradley coach Geno Ford said. "Im not saying we were going to win, but you hold them to seven offensive rebounds and have just six turnovers? Ill take it. David Robertson White Sox Jersey. "The difference was late-shot-clock 3s and their length at the basket." Ford went on to laud the Shockers defence. "At the rim, they have unbelievable length," Ford said. "Its length and it comes from anywhere. Even (6-foot-3) Baker. "Theyre absolutely terrific at help and recover, and they deny (wing passes). You cant find five teams in the country with that (combination)." Tyshon Pickett finished with 13 points and 15 rebounds for Bradley after nearly reaching a double-double in the first half with 10 points and nine rebounds. Pickett was just 5-of-20 from the field and leading scorer Walt Lemon Jr. was 6 for 20 and had 18 points. "I hate to get beat on the glass," Marshall said of his teams 37-36 rebound disadvantage. "But (Pickett) was a monster. He beasted us a little." Tekele Cotton scored 13 points, Early 12 and VanVleet had 11 for Wichita State, a Final Four participant a year ago. Reserve Darius Carter added nine points and seven rebounds and had one of the Shockers six blocked shots. Miserable shooting prevented Bradley from mounting much of a threat. The Braves were at 25 per cent (11 for 44) through 30 minutes and finished 16 for 59 (27.1 per cent). Bradley was playing host to its highest-ranked opponent since 1982, when then-No. 2 Wichita State lost 55-47 to the Braves who went on to win the NIT. The Shockers led 35-25 at halftime after holding the Braves to 8-of-34 shooting (23.5 per cent). The game was a matchup of the top two defensive teams in the conference, though Wichita State (60.8 points per game) leads Bradley (65.5) comfortably. Offensively, Wichita State is also the MVCs best (75. while Bradley (63. is last. The No. 2 ranking equals the highest ranking in Wichita State history, matching the 1981-82 team. GLENDALE, Ariz. Rodney Stuckey Jersey . -- Blake Bortles rolled right, crashed into two defenders and floated a pass to an open receiver just before going down. The two players who had a beat on Central Floridas quarterback stayed on the ground, each pounding their hands into the turf as the receiver ran up the sideline. Out of reach all game, the Knights pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the bowl season by outlasting the nations top offensive team in a rousing BCS debut. Bortles stymied Baylor with his arm and legs while accounting for four touchdowns, Storm Johnson ran for three more scores and No. 15 Central Florida turned the highest-scoring Fiesta Bowl into a big-play party by outlasting the sixth-ranked Bears 52-42 on Wednesday night. "Theres not many outside of us who believe we had a chance, but we did and I think we showed what UCF football is all about," Bortles said. Central Florida (12-1) wasnt given much of a chance at all, entering the game as a 17-point underdog. The Knights didnt care about the spread and certainly didnt back down from the big, bad Bears, racing past Baylor with an array of big plays. They took an early 14-point lead and kept rolling, piling up 556 total yards in the second-highest scoring BCS bowl ever. Bortles, the junior who could be weighing a jump to the NFL, was the catalyst, throwing for three touchdowns on 20-of-31 passing and running for 93 yards and another score. Rannell Hall accounted for some of the biggest plays, catching four passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Johnson kept Baylor from ganging up on UCFs passing game, grinding out 124 yards on 20 carries. So much about having no shot. "Its a great win, a great feeling for everyone whos been through the program," UCF coach George OLeary said. Known for its offence prowess, Baylor (11-2) had a hard time keeping up with the Knights. The Big 12 champions finished with 550 total yards, but were uncharacteristically undisciplined, getting 17 penalties for 135 yards. Bryce Petty tried to keep the Bears in it, running for three touchdowns while throwing for 356 yards and two more scores. Lache Seastrunk had some big runs in the first half and finished with 117 yards. None of it was enough the way UCF ran through Baylors defence. "We caught a football team that was hot," Baylor coach Art Briles said. "They played extremely well early, got into us. We tried to play catch up the whole game, never could turn it around when it needed turning." The Fiesta Bowl was the BCS coming-out party for Baylor and Central Florida before college footballs switch to a playoff system next season. The Bears had been building toward this since Briles became coach in 2009, winding up his high-octane offence to lead the nation in scoring and churn out the second-most yards in FBS history. Central Florida had a slower rise under OLeary. The coach who was fired by Notre Dame five days after being hired for lying on his resume has built his reputation back up in Orlando, taking a program that went winless in 2004 to the inaugural American Athletic Conference title and automatic BCS berth this year. The matchup was projected to be like the 2011 Fiesta Bowl, when mighty Oklahoma rolled over Connecticut 48-20. The Knights werent listening. They opened with a 76-yard scoring drive capped by Johnsons tackle-breaking 11-yard touchdown run. Johnson scored again on UCFs next possession, this one on a 2-yard run. The early 14-0 lead was expected. The team leading wasnt. Baylor finally revved up its offence late in the first quarter, scoring on a 1-yard TD sneak by Petty and Central Florida looked as if it was ready to fall apart with turnovers on three consecutive plays. Baylor only turned one of those into points: a 30-yard pass from Petty to Levi Norwood. Petty followed Johnsons fumble with an interception in the end zone, just his third of the season. "Unfortunately, that was the turning point in the game," Petty said. "We needed that to save momentum up for us, especially after a turnover. Turnovers in the red zone kill an offence." Then came the spectacular plays, seemingly one after another. Hall darted and dashed through Baylors defence for a 50-yard touchdown on a screen pass, with help from Josh Reeses downfield block. Petty hurtled himself into the end zone, flipping over UCFs Brandon Alexander to cap a 13-yard run. That gave Baylor 659 points, breaking the NCAA record for a 13-game season set by Texas (652) in 2005. The momentum was gone shortly after, when Hall turned a swing pass into a 34-yard touchdown -- assisted again by Reese -- to put the Knights up 28-20 at halftime. Petty scored his third touchdown on 1-yard run in the third quarter and dashed in for the 2-point conversion to tie the game, but Central Florida still wouldnt back down. Bortles hit Breshad Perriman on a 10-yard touchdown pass and opened the fourth quarter by scoring on a 15-yard run to put the Knights up 42-28. Even after Baylor moved quickly for a 9-yard touchdown run by Glasco Martin, UCF had an answer, going up 49-35 on Johnsons 40-yard run through the heart of the Bears defence. ALBANY, N. http://www.baseballgiantsmlb.com/authentic-deion-sanders-giants-jersey/ .Y. -- Defenceman Ben Chiarot scored on a shot from the right point with 23.1 seconds remaining in regulation time, lifting the St. Johns IceCaps to a 2-1 victory over the Albany Devils on Friday in American Hockey League playoff action. The IceCaps, who lead the best-of-five series 1-0, got on the board 4:29 into the game with both teams down one skater. Jerome Samson, who played three AHL seasons in Albany, stole the puck behind the net and fed Eric ODell, who beat Devils goalie Keith Kinkaid between his pads. Joe Whitney tied the score for Albany on a power play at 2:13 of the second period. He received a pass from defenceman Jon Merrill and ripped a wrist shot from the slot area past the stick of IceCaps goaltender Michael Hutchinson. Hutchinson made 25 saves for St. Johns while Kinkaid turned away 30-of-32 shots for Albany. The series resumes Saturday night in Albany before moving to St. Johns for the final three games. http://www.baseballgiantsmlb.com/authentic-gaylord-perry-giants-jersey/ . The Maple Leafs will play on the road for the first time this season after dropping home contests to Montreal and Pittsburgh to begin the campaign. After losing a one-goal decision to the Canadiens on Wednesday, they were bested 5-2 on Saturday by the Penguins.PINEHURST, N.C. -- Graham DeLaet played his first round at the U.S. Open not unlike his first round at the Masters. There were some nerves and there werent any birdies. The Canadian ended up posting a five-over 75 on the Pinehurst No. 2 course that left him 10 back of the lead. “I got off to a rough start,” DeLaet acknowledged after his round. “It might have been just a little bit of nerves. I wasnt hitting my driver great and then a couple of short-game miscues.” DeLaet started with bogeys on two of the first three holes, including a three-putt on the 12th hole from about 10 feet. Still, he didnt appear out of sorts on the course in the early going and after a bogey on the par-3 15th, he settled into a nice stretch, rolling off nine-straight pars. “I felt I got in a pretty good rhythm for the majority of the middle part of my round,” he stated. “I wasnt really able to make birdies, but I had a couple of tap-in pars that kept it stress free.” He stumbled in, however, making what he called disappointing bogeys on two of the last three holes. An errant tee shot on seven that landed in a bunker led to a bogey while on the last hole he was unable to get on the green in two. “It was disappointing to bogey seven and nine coming in because, if I was able to finish at three over, I would have been pretty happpy,” he said. http://www.baseballgiantsmlb.com/authentic-will-clark-giants-jersey/. The stats show that DeLaet made 10 fairways – above average for the field – and 11 greens, also above the average. But on the greens, the putter didnt seem to be working. He used his flat stick 33 times, far too many, but easily understandable on Pinehursts difficult greens. “Its tough,” summed up DeLaet. “Its a tough round of golf. I felt like I handled it well. Unfortunately, I just didnt execute coming in.” DeLaets score came on a day when the field posted the lowest scoring average at a U.S. Open since 2003. The course average was 73.23 and there were more under par scores on Day One than in the opening rounds of the previous two years combined. But on a course that is playing this tough and with few birdie holes on the course, planning a comeback is not as easy. DeLaet understands that and will try to stay the course as he did in the first round. “Its just being patient,” he stated. “I was proud of myself for doing that all day even though its hard to aim a nine-iron 30 feet from the hole just trying to make four, but thats kind of what you have to do. Well see what happens, if I get a little behind the eight ball I might have to press. “Im not completely out of it. I know that a good round [Friday] will go a long way to getting back into it.” Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

ST. Reggie Miller Pacers Jersey . PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Bases loaded in the first inning, none out and Toronto Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista at the plate. A recipe for disaster for most pitchers. Especially a teenage thrower. But it turned into a day to remember for 17-year-old starter Ben Onyshko who managed to hold Bautista and his US$14-million annual salary to a sacrifice fly. The Winnipeg native got out of the inning without further damage and yielded just two runs on four hits over his three innings for the Canadian junior baseball team. "The experience of a lifetime," Onyshko said after leaving the game tied 2-2. The young Canadians took it on the chin after that. A Toronto Blue Jays split squad rallied for three runs in the fifth inning, four in the seventh and three in the eighth en route to a 12-2 victory over the Canadian juniors Tuesday under the sunshine at Al Lang Field. Onyshko, who has accepted a scholarship to Stetson University, said he tried to just focus on the task at hand in the first when Bautista came to the plate after two walks and a Moises Sierra single. "Ive got to admit my mind was racing a little bit," the left-hander said with a smile. "It was surreal." "I was scared for a split second when he (Bautista) hit the ball. Once I was able to get that first out, I think things started to roll a bit better. I settled in." Onyshko, who recorded one strikeout, had his parents and sister looking on in the stands. Jays starter Brandon Morrow, not helped by a Colby Rasmus error, gave up two runs on four hits. He struck out two and walked three. Morrow, who threw 47 pitches, was happy with his split-fingered delivered but called his command of the fast ball "terrible." "I was getting frustrated with myself out there, if you didnt notice," he said dryly. Morrow was followed by Sergio Santos, Steve Delabar and Aaron Sanchez. Onyshko gave way to Zach Pop of Brampton, Ont., J.P. Stevenson of Hunter River, P.E.I., and Isaac Anesty of Guelph, Ont. The Jays finished with 12 hits to seven for the Canadians, who were tagged with three errors. Delabar got the win and Sanchez the save while Pop took the loss. Toronto broke a 2-2 tie with three runs in the fifth off Pop, with Canadian Brett Lawrie sparking the charge with a double. A Canadian error helped the Toronto cause. Highly touted outfielder Gareth Morgan of Toronto singled, walked and struck out for the young Canadians. While other major league teams tend to put up prospects against the Canadian juniors, Toronto brought out some stars as well as a bevy of its own young Canadian talent. Bautista, Adam Lind, Rasmus, Dioner Navarro and Munenori Kawasaki were in a starting lineup that also included Canadians Lawrie (Langley, B.C.) and Dalton Pompey (Mississauga, Ont). Lawrie, who used to be part of the Baseball Canada program, was 2-for-3 on the day. Other Canadians who saw action for the Jays included Michael Crouse of Port Moody, B.C., Markus Knecht of Toronto, Justin Atkinson of Surrey, B.C., Mike Reeves of Peterborough, Ont., and Mike Nickeas of Vancouver. It was no ordinary spring training game. Players from both teams mingled for a group photograph in the outfield before the first pitch, with Kawasaki and Bautista sticking around for their own shot surrounded by the young Canadians. Bautista also gave the Canadian teens a pep talk. The Canadian juniors play in the fall instructional league against young major league talent before their spring series in Florida in March and April. This year, the Florida opposition includes teams from the Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Nationals as well as the Jays. In May, the Canadians take part in the Dominican Summer League. The idea is to expose the young players to a professional environment and competition. The Canadian schedule is built around a qualifying tournament in Mexico in September for the 2015 world junior championships in Japan. Canada is bidding to become one of four teams to emerge from the Americas. With John Gibbons leading another Jays squad in Lakeland, Fla., against the Detroit Tigers, first-base coach Tim Leiper served as manager in St. Petersburg. Leiper has Canadian ties. He managed in the Montreal Expos organization, including a stint at the helm of the triple-A Ottawa Lynx of the International League in 2002. He also served as a coach on the 2004 Canadian Olympic team as well as Canadas 2006 and 2009 World Baseball Classic squads. He was part of the Baseball Canada staff that won bronze medals at both the 2008 and 2011 Baseball World Cups and gold in the 2011 Pan-American Games. Leiper joined the Jays coaching staff in the off-season after spending the past year as a special assistant to player development in the Toronto system. Joseph Young Jersey . The Blues, who have on regulation loss in the past eight, are ahead of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Chicago Blackhawks. On a 5-1-1 stretch in the past seven games, the Montreal Canadiens gained ground to move from 13 to nine. The Philadelphia Flyers, on a four-game winning streak, move from 20 to 16 and the Minnesota Wild, who have thrived despite injuries, are up from 23 to 20. Heading the other way, the Winnipeg Jets had back-to-back losses for the first time under Paul Maurice and, as always, goaltending is a concern, contributing to their slide from 12 to 17. The Carolina Hurricanes slip from 16 to 19, though if they are really prepared to keep goaltender Cam Ward in the background, that ranking would improve based on how well Anton Khuddobin has played when given the opportunity this year. Al Jefferson Pacers Jersey. No team should be welcoming the Olympic break more than the Vancouver Canucks, who have two regulation wins in the past 20 games and desperately need to get healthy if they are going to mount a late-season charge to recapture a playoff spot. In any case, the Canucks slide sees them drop from 19 to 23. Among the rest of Canadian teams, the Toronto Maple Leafs sit at 15, up a couple of spots, and their highest placement in the rankings since late November. A blowout loss to Boston in the final game before the break knocked the Ottawa Senators down a couple of spots, from 22 to 24, while the suddenly-improving Edmonton Oilers are up from 28 to 26, and the Calgary Flames are down from 27 to 28. (SportsNetwork. Goran Dragic Jersey .com) - One night after setting a season high for goals in a game, the Philadelphia Flyers will try to keep their offense on point against the stingy Winnipeg Jets in Sundays clash at MTS Centre. The Flyers struggled early defensively versus the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday before pulling away for a 7-4 win. They trailed 2-0 and 3-2 in the first period, but ripped off five straight goals to pull away. Claude Giroux had a pair of goals and two assists, while Jakub Voracek tied a career high with four assists. Voracek leads the NHL with 42 points, three more than Giroux and Dallas Tyler Seguin, and his 30 assists also top the league. Giroux has 29 helpers on the season. Its great to get a lot of goals in one game, Giroux said. That was fun. Michael Raffl and Sean Couturier finished with a goal and an assist, while defenseman Nicklas Grossmann netted his career-high third goal of the season. Ray Emery allowed four goals on 25 shots in the victory, which snapped a two- game slide and came in the opener of an eight-game road trip. With No. 1 goaltender Steve Mason out for at least the weekend with a back injury suffered in practice on Friday, 33-year-old Rob Zepp is expected to make his NHL debut in net tonight. Zepp has gone 8-5-4 in 17 games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League this season after spending the previous seven campaigns in the German Elite League. Flyers forward Zac Rinaldo also is questionable with an upper-body injury sustained versus the Leafs. Philadelphias offense will go up against a Winnipeg team that ranks fourth in the NHL with just 2.21 goals allowed per game. That comes despite the club currently missing four defenseman due to injury. Tobias Enstrom, Zach Bogosian and Mark Stuart are all out with lower-body injuries, while Jacob Trouba has an upper-body issue. Winnipeg has won two straight, including a 2-1 win over the Boston Bruins on Friday. Evander Kane and Mathieu Perreault scored the goals and Michael Hutchinson had 30 saves. Real good goaltending, said Jets coach Paul Maurice. Then just an awful lot of hard, scramble battles. Defenseman Jay Harrison had an assist in his Jets debut after being acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes the previous game. Winnipeg will close out a four-game homestand tonight and Ondrej Pavelec figures to draw the start in net tonight. He is 7-4-1 in his career versus the Flyers with a 3.14 GAA and .910 save percentage in 13 games with 12 starts. The Jets have lost four of their last six versus the Flyers, but have won the last two meetings in Winnipeg. Alonzo Mourning Heat Jersey . Ashburn, VA (SportsNetwork. O. J. Howard Womens Jersey .com) - Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III will likely start Sundays game against Minnesota after taking a majority of the first-team reps in practice on Thursday. Griffin hasnt played since suffering a dislocated ankle in Week 2 against Jacksonville, but coach Jay Gruden said Griffin would be his starter for Sunday barring any issues the rest of the week. The progress that hes made has made us prepare him to be the starter, said Gruden on Thursday. We wouldnt put him with the (first-team) if we didnt feel he was 100 percent physically. Every intent right now is to prepare him to be the starting quarterback. Gruden maintained that Griffin must still get through practice on Friday, or Colt McCoy would get his second straight start. McCoy led the Redskins to an overtime victory over Dallas on Monday. If theres a fallback, if theres a drawback, or if hes sore at all, then well go back to Colt, Gruden added. His ankle looks great. Roberts the starter ... but hes got to be 100 percent No. 1. We feel like hes 100 percent physically right now, but we still have another day left to make sure thats the case. McCoy played well in the victory over Dallas, completing 25-of-30 passes for 229 yards while rushing for a touchdown. If the Redskins wanted to give McCoy the start, Griffin would have an additional two weeks of rest with the clubs bye after Sundays game. However, it appears that Griffin is ready to return. Well have plenty of time to talk in the summer, and thats how it is now.The real tension between the Heat and Cavs comes on Dec. 25, when the teams meet for the first time in the regular season.James struggled in the first half and played little after that, but his new team carried him. In the last six years since Ive been the head coach weve been to England, France, China and Rio with tremendous experiences. Whether or not that happens on a regular basis — in the regular season — I dont know.Wade is also a booster of the NBAs global profile. The NBA has done an unbelievable job of growing the game — the players as well — of making this game global, Wade said. We all benefit from it.It was the Cavaliers 32-year-old Brazilian centre Anderson Varejao who got the loudest applause, upstaging James when the teams were introduced. Varejao left Brazil at 19 to begin playing abroad.Ive been waiting my entire life for this, Varejao said from an on-court microphone. I hope you enjoy it.They did.James missed the first shot of the game, a fall-away jumper from the left wing. Moments later Varejao scored the first points of the game on the Cavs second trip down the floor. He finished the first quarter with eight points as the Cavs led 27-21.Miami trailed by 20 points, but rallied against the Cavs reserves to tie it at 105 and force overtime. Cleveland stretched the lead to 122-119 on two free throws by Joe Harris with 13 seconds left. TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie is reporting that the Wild would like to re-sign the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native to a two-way contract, but coming off a strong playoff performance, Kuemper would prefer a one-way deal. FONTANA, Calif. Adoree Jackson Jersey . -- Kyle Larson won his first Nationwide Series race Saturday, holding off Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch in a thrilling finish at Fontana. The 21-year-old Larson became the first California native to win a Nationwide race at the 2-mile oval, surviving a three-man derby in the final laps that had the fans on their feet. After Harvicks final attempt to pass him failed, Larson celebrated with a burnout in Victory Lane, but only after detaching his steering wheel and holding it out the window. "Those last 11, 12 laps were the longest laps of my life," Larson said. "Ive been so close to winning so many times, but the fashion we did it in was extra special." One of NASCARs most promising young drivers, Larson is from Elk Grove, Calif., near Sacramento. After being named Nationwides top rookie last season, hes driving the No. 42 car for Chip Ganassi Racing in the Sprint Cup series. Harvick finished just 0.342 seconds behind after barely missing on repeated attempts to slip underneath Larsons Chevy for the lead. "We had a lot of fun there at the end, obviously," Harvick said. "Youd rather win the race, but any time you can put on a show like that for the fans, youre excited about that." Larson had finished second in five previous Nationwide races, but never won. Busch held him off at Bristol last week, and Larson was beginning to wonder when he would get his breakthrough win. Busch, the defending champion at Fontana after last years weekend sweep, started 39th after missing qualifying with car problems. He roared through the field to take the lead before coming up just short in the big finish. "He deserved it," Busch said after congratulating Larson in Victory Lane. "Hes worked hard, and thats why hes in Cup." Joey Logano was fourth after leading 96 laps early on, and Elliott Sadler finished fifth. After a caution for fuel on the track, a green flag with 16 laps to go kicked off a wild scramble for the lead. Larson got out front, while Busch swerved in front of Harvick for second. Larson and Busch dueled for the next few laps, trading the lead. Harvick soon joined the hunt, and Busch stayed in the group despite scraping the wall with seven laps to go. Busch nudged back in front by a bumper with five laps to go, but Larson cut in front moments later to push Busch back. Harvick repeatedly drove down hard into the turns in an effort to get in front, but Larson barely held him off. Corey Davis Youth Jersey . LOS ANGELES -- Jonathan Quick and the Los Angeles Kings have returned from the Olympic break with a revitalized game and a sharpened playoff focus. The Carolina Hurricanes have neither, and they realize theyre running out of time to get it. Alec Martinez scored the tiebreaking goal on a power play with 11:45 to play, Quick made 24 saves, and the Kings beat the Hurricanes 3-1 Saturday for their third victory in four days since the break. Mike Richards scored his second goal since late November and Justin Williams added an empty-net goal for Los Angeles, which has roared out of the break with three wins in three cities in about 70 hours. The low-scoring Kings put up eight goals at Colorado and Calgary before holding off Carolina in their return to Staples Center. After five scoreless power plays in the first two periods, the Kings finally converted on their sixth. Captain Dustin Brown got the puck behind the Carolina net and fed it to Martinez, who blasted a shot from the slot for his first goal since Jan. 9. "Its no secret we werent happy with our game before the break started," Martinez said. "We worked on a lot of things, and we knew that when we came back, this would be crunch-time, playoff hockey." After two straight trips to the Western Conference finals and a Stanley Cup championship in 2012, the Kings know a few things about post-season grit -- and they know theyll need it just to reach the playoffs this time. Los Angeles had a 1-8-1 stretch shortly before the Olympic break, falling back to the pack in the conference playoff race. The Kings are thoroughly revived after their time off and an eventful Olympics, which included gold medals for Drew Doughty and Jeff Carter along with two surprising victories for Slovenia and Anze Kopitar. The rest of the Kings got several days off and several more days of practice, and both appear to be paying off. "Weve got to bring our best every night right now," Quick said. The Kings have won four straight overall, and Quick appears to be in top form after starting for the U.S. Olympic team in Sochi. He followed up his shutout of the Flames on Thursday with annother strong performance against the Canes, including a handful of spectacular saves over the final two periods. Adoree Jackson Youth Jersey. Andrej Sekera scored and Anton Khudobin stopped 28 shots for the Hurricanes, who have lost three straight on their five-game road trip out of the break. Carolina has lost four straight overall, and the Hurricanes must visit NHL-leading Anaheim and powerful San Jose over the next three days. "We didnt have a lot of good scoring chances, but the ones we did, we didnt capitalize on them," Carolina coach Kirk Muller said. "Weve played nine periods now (since the break), and I think were happy with seven of the nine, but we havent gotten any points. Were playing hard and playing well defensively, but were not generating the offence we need to get ahead in these games." Carolina played without forward Alexander Semin, who was scratched with a lower-body injury. The Russian Olympian was hurt Thursday at Dallas, but might return Sunday in Anaheim. "Hes one of our best players, so it hurts having him out," Carolina centre Riley Nash said. "But guys have to fill (the void)." Los Angeles had a fruitless 4-on-3 advantage for 1:09 during the first period, but went ahead in the final minute on a sharp-angled shot by Richards, the veteran centre whose scoring touch has deserted him this season. The goal was his first in 13 games since Jan. 18 and just his second in 37 games since Nov. 25. The Hurricanes tied it up just 41 seconds later on a goal by Sekera. The Slovak Olympians floating shot banked off Kings defenceman Robyn Regehr and beat Quick with 15 seconds left in the first. "We played well and didnt give them a whole lot," Nash said. "It just seems like were finding ways not to win games and not to get points." NOTES: Carolina visited Staples Center for the first time since Oct. 21, 2010. ... Lets take a quick look at five of the many Canadians in the NCAA Tournament this year. Ryan Switzer Youth Jersey . The game in this country just continues to improve and it will be fun to watch it all unfold starting tomorrow. Cant wait! 1. ANDREW WIGGINS (Kansas): This young man has incredible talent and upside with explosivity and skill to spare. Wiggins has terrific feel for the game and can make all the plays. His strength and stamina have been an issue on occasion, but he plays better when challenged. Wiggins has to play with a more consistent motor, but thats expected for such a young guy, whos handled all the hoopla of his frosh year quite well. Hell set the tone for how far his team goes. 2. TYLER ENNIS (Syracuse): Ennis is an intelligent and steady point guard, who makes all the high percentage decisions for you. He plays at a controlled speed and has excellent vision and feel for the game. His poise and composure under pressure is off the charts. Ennis changes speeds well and knows how to make others better with remarkable maturity and leadership ability for a frosh. Hes got to exert his will earlier in games here in the Tournament and get his team going and set the tone. Ennis is truly the straw that stirs the drink for the Cuse. 3. NIK STAUSKAS (Michigan): There are major improvements in Stauskass strength and overall savvy from last season. He can really stroke it and plays with energy and emotion consistently and is an excellent screen-usage guy and knows how to get open. The elevation on his jump shot is terrific and his handle has gotten better, allowing him to create for himself and teammates. Stauskas is coming on strong. 4. MELVIN EJIM (Iowa State): Heres an intriguing guy. Ejims a very good athlete who has good compete level and I love how hes able to finish on the break and play the game inside and out. Ejim attacks the basket hard and I love his energy. Hes gotten better every year, which is a testament to his work ethic and love for the game. Hes a beast on the glass and has really improved his three-point-shooting stroke. Ejims stock is really rising. 5. KEVIN PANGOS (Gonzaga): Pangos is a shooter with deep range and a guy who can get on a roll if you leave him open. Hes a gym rat who gets after it for you. Pangos isnt the biggest guy, yet plays as hard as you can ask and creates his shot well and has a knack for freeing himself up in the five-on-five game and you better not leave him open in transition. Pangos moves his feet and fights through screens on the defensive end and relishes the challenge of getting stops. Hes steady and reliable in every situation. In short, Pangos is a winner. Ryan Switzer Cowboys Jersey . The rookie is rewarding their faith with a stellar first season. MacKinnon had a goal and two assists, Jamie McGinn had two goals and an assist, and Colorado beat the Buffalo Sabres 7-1 on Saturday. Jourdan Lewis Youth Jersey . Mark Van Guilder, Austin Watson and Colton Sissons also scored for the Admirals (22-13-10), who are 2-0-2 in their last four outings, while Roussel tacked on an assist for a two-point night. Greg Pateryn scored once for the Bulldogs (20-22-4), who lost their fifth straight contest, and also assisted on Gabriel Dumonts goal. http://www.shoptheofficialcowboys.com/Elite-Jourdan-Lewis-Cowboys-Jersey/ . Bryant underwent an operation in December to correct an irregular heartbeat. His season ended with four games left because of a rapid heartbeat, a condition he has known about for several years and had been treated for in the past.HOUSTON -- Houston is starting to make a habit of 40-point first quarters. After not scoring 40 points in the opening quarter in the last five seasons, the Rockets have done it five times this season and twice in the last three games. Terrence Jones had 22 points and 10 rebounds, and the Rockets opened a big early lead and beat the Detroit Pistons 118-110 on Saturday night for their third win in four games. Jones finished 10 of 15 from the floor as Houston shot 50 per cent for the game, including 61 per cent in the first half. Houston scored 41 points in the first quarter and finished 11 of 33 from behind the arc. "We got a big halftime lead and didnt play well in the second half," Rockets coach Kevin McHale said. "We came out and really moved the ball. We had it going up and down and just did a nice job of doing what weve been talking about doing, which is attacking early, getting inside to Dwight (Howard) and making some nice passes." James Harden added 20 points and 12 assists, Patrick Beverley had 19 points and Howard chipped in 17 points and eight rebounds. Reserve Omri Casspi scored 16 points and Jordan Hamilton had 13. While saying it was an important win before the Rockets begin a stretch against some of the top teams in the NBA on Tuesday against Miami, Howard did not like the way Houston came out in the second half. "I thought we should have really put the foot on the gas," Howard said. "We didnt. We allowed them to get back into the game, and that is not what we need to do if we want to be a championship team." Rodney Stuckey had 23 points on 10 of 17 shooting off the bench, and Josh Smith added 21 points for the Pistons, who dropped their fourth straight and seventh in eight games. Andre Drummond had 16 points and 17 rebounds, Greg Monroe had 10 points and 14 rebounds, and Brandon Jennings chipped in 11 points and eight assists for Detroit, which shot 45 per cent from the field. "In the first half, we didnt play with the energy, enthusiasm or desire you have to play at to play against any NBA team, let alone a high-level team like Houston," Detroit interim coach John Loyer said. "We came in here, and I told our guys we played harder in practice than the first 24 minutes. Jourdan Lewis Jersey. We had more juice, energy running a three-man weave than we did in the first half. There are two halves to a game, and fortunately, we played a much better second half." Detroit fell four games out of the final Eastern Conference playoff spot. Drummond said the Pistons have enough time to make the playoffs. "We have enough time to do anything, and were four games out, so it comes to what we do as a team," Drummond said. "It cant be one or two people. We have to be as a collective group to want to buckle down and try to win games." Trailing 102-84 with 10:33 remaining, Detroit outscored the Rockets 13-5 over the next 4:22 to cut the lead to 10 on Smiths free throws, but Beverley nailed back-to-back 3-pointers to push the lead back to 16 with four minutes remaining. The Pistons closed within seven once more with a 10-1 run, capped by consecutive layups by Stuckey, but got no closer. "I think guys stopped playing a little bit because of the lead," Jones said. "We just tried to make sure that we got back to it on the defensive end to make sure we got the win. I think we did that late in the fourth." The Rockets, who never trailed, moved to 40-19. Only the 1993-94 team that started 40-15 got to 40 wins faster. Houston used a 16-2 run over a three-minute stretch of the first quarter to open a 23-6 lead on Howards two free throws 5 minutes into the game. "We did a good job of coming out with some aggression and getting some defensive stops and getting out in transition," Harden said. Houston expanded its lead to 58-33 on Howards free throw with 4:58 remaining in the first half. The Rockets led 69-46 at the break. NOTES: Houston forward Chandler Parsons missed the game with an illness. . Rockets centre Greg Smith underwent an exploratory arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday to repair a medial meniscus tear and to examine changes to ligament structures in his right knee. Smith, who has missed 36 games this season, is out indefinitely. . BALTIMORE -- Detroits Justin Verlander wasnt overly concerned with his less-than-stellar outing against the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday. Derek Rivers Patriots Jersey . Instead, he focused on the final result: another Tigers victory. Rajai Davis homered, and Detroit overcame a rare shaky performance by Verlander to complete a three-game sweep of the Orioles with a 7-5 victory. The Tigers have won 12 of their last 15 games, including eight in a row on the road. Baltimore has lost four straight. Verlander (5-2) allowed a season-high five runs on six hits with four strikeouts and three walks in six innings. He still improved to 7-0 in eight outings at Camden Yards. But it was the first time in 15 games a Detroit starter allowed more than three runs. "Winning as a team is all that matters," Verlander said. "Obviously, today was a great team effort. Our boys put up a bunch of runs." Davis hit his third home run of the season and had two RBIs. Baltimores Nelson Cruz had two hits, including his 11th home run, a three-run shot in the fifth inning that pulled Baltimore to within 6-5. Adam Jones went 3 for 5 with an RBI and extended his hitting streak to nine games. "Were not going to focus on what happened in bad situations," Cruz said. "Were going to focus on whatever we did good on a daily basis, and that can get you going through the season." Staked to a 6-0 lead, Verlander was cruising until the fifth, when he allowed five runs with two outs. He gave up consecutive RBI singles to Jones and Chris Davis before Cruzs three-run homer to left cut the deficit to 6-5. "In the American League, no lead seems to be safe," Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said. Davis gave Detroit some breathing room with his solo shot in the sixth. Joe Nathan pitched a scoreless ninth for his 10th save. He hasnt allowed a run in six straight appearances. Kevin Gausman (0-1) was making his first start for the Orioles since June 13, 2013, and lasted just four innings. He allowed five runs on six hits with two strikeouts, two walks and a wild pitch. "Obviously, I wasnt too thrilled with it," Gausman said. "I thought I did some good things early on, keeping down in the count. As the game progressed, my fastball started going up in the zone." Detroit opened a 2-0 lead in the third on a two-out, two-RBI single by Miguel Cabrera. He is batting .391 with 53 RBIs in 51 career games against Baltimore. The Tigers extended the lead to 5-0 in the fourth with some aggressive base running and timely hitting. After a double steal, Bryan Holiday had an RBI single and Danny Worth followed with a drag bunt up the first base line for another run. Davis then hit a long sacrifice fly to centre Verlander threw behind Cruz in the fourth, prompting home plate umpire John Tumpane to issue a warning to both benches. On Monday, Orioles starter Bud Norris plunked Torii Hunter in the rib cage after allowing a go-ahead, two-run homer to Ian Kinsler in the eighth, which caused both dugouts to empty, though no punches were thrown. For me, its about the platform once I get there of what I can do to change things for people with disabilities.I try to promote and get more people involved in disability sports and thats one of the reasons why I compete. I want to show people it doesnt matter what background you come from, what disability you have, or what start in life youve had, you can still achieve things. Its the same message Ive been pushing throughout my career and I hope more organisations come on board to help support the message of enabled, not disabled, and to empower people with disabilities. Ryan only began walking as a four-year-old Raghoo proved his performance at Queensland was no fluke by achieving the Rio Paralympics qualifying standard again at a meeting in Talence, France, in April. He jumped five centimetres short of his own British record of 4.61m set in February, making him a virtual certainty to be selected for next months European Championships.Im probably my own worst critic and to be fair, I was quite frustrated despite breaking the British record because I know I can jump a lot further, the 19-year-old said. The British record is just a stepping stone to bigger things and when I started out, I was looking at that record as the first marker on the road to some great things the summer, so it was nice to achieve. Raghoo looking to use Europeans as stepping stone to Rio When I jumped the British record, it also qualified me for the European Championships as well [which no other British athlete has ever done] and I aim to use the Europeans as an opportunity to build for Rio.But I also think I dont feel as excited about it as perhaps I should, because Para-athletes get very little recognition, if any, for breaking national records. Maybe its something Ill be able to enjoy when I look back on my career but it was a good marker to put down.Croydon-based Raghoos mother is from India and his father is Guyanese with Indian ancestery. Doctors told Ryans parents he may never be able to walk. There are very few ethnic minorities in Paralympic sports, which is one of the reasons why I am so driven to succeed, added the self-funded athlete.Im often asked who my role models were but there was no-one to really look up to from my background. i remember when Amir Khan came through and that was major for the Asian community because we dont have too many superstars on that level.Id certainly like to be able to become a role model but Im the first to say that Im still learning. When I speak to people - and I speak to children a lot - they always seek to take something away from my story, so in many ways my journey is an opportunity for me to inspire people. Yahoo! Sports columnist Marc Spears says that the Boogie Smooth album may have been an elaborate April Fools prank. The Premier League is finally ready to explode. Any large corporation will talk to you about the value of momentum and it has been lost on the league so far. Now is the time of the year when the worlds most popular league finds its feet. Every season, there is always something missing from the opening three weeks of a new campaign. The freshly cut grass, the new kits and players certainly bring optimism and excitement, but throughout it, we have to deal with the constant rumours and reports of player transfers. Not one of the 20 managers will come out and say, at the start of the season, that this is the team with which they are going into battle. Fans are drawn to newspapers and gossip columns to find any possible link about a player and their club. Sky Sports dedicates hours upon hours of monotonous coverage in England, where some poor reporter has been sent to the parking lot outside the ground and has to deal with many foul-mouthed fans in the background while reporting live that someone definitely, maybe, will be arriving soon. On September 1, that nonsense ended. Squads were set and, until January, we now all know what teams have. Then the teams didnt play for almost two weeks as the first international window of the season took place. Manchester Uniteds new signing Angel Di Maria, who starred for Argentina in a meaningless “rematch” of the World Cup final against Germany, called the timing of the break "kind of stupid." He was being kind of kind. Alas, four weeks after the 2014/15 Premier League season got under way officially, this Saturday sees the real season start for good and the league explodes out of the blocks with a clash between Arsenal and Manchester City (TSN2, TSN3 and TSN4 at 7:30am et/4:30am pt). Big spenders City were quiet in the remaining weeks of the window, partly because UEFAs Financial Fair Play mandates dictated it - You may or may not have noticed City nonchalantly announced their Champions League squad of only 21 players recently as part of their punishment. Arsenal, meanwhile, needed the last few hours of the window when their main striker, Olivier Giroud, ended August with foot surgery keeping him out until January. Arsene Wenger went shopping for a present on Christmas Eve and finally found the gift that the clubs fan base has been asking for all along - another striker. No pressure, Danny. Their decision to sign Manchester Uniteds Danny Welbeck was an interesting one. In a transfer window where Luis Suarez, Diego Costa, Mario Balotelli, Radamel Falcao and Mario Mandzukic were all available and ultimately transferred, Wengers decision to buy a Man Utd substitute should have raised more eyebrows than it did. Instead, with Welbeck scoring two goals for England against Switzerland in Euro 2016 qualifying, much of the debate was around the player himself and not necessarily about Arsenals ambitions. With nothing else to sink their teeth into, the media went to town on it. It was almost as if it had been planned. Forced to fill pages upon pages of content when little action on the field was taking place, the recent international window was just as frustrating for newspaper editors. It tells you something about a player when the same newspaper gets two of its major columnists take opposite sides of Welbecks potential. The truth is, no one quite knows what Welbeck will become. Even those who believe he should not have been sold used his move to concentrate on a bigger issue of Manchester Uniteds decision to sell an English player to a rival and a change in their own transfer policies. Gary Neville, and his former teammate and assistant coach Mike Phelan, publicly questioned the sale for United and they werent the only ones who concerned themselves about United losing their identity as a club who famously produced players to become difference makers at the top level. The truth is, United have regularly produced good players who havent been good enough for them when they have reached their peak and were then sold on to have decent careers elsewhere. Chidobe Awuzie Youth Jersey. Some, like John OShea and Wes Brown for example, are still playing in the Premier League. With those cases in mind, many believe United were right to sell Welbeck, a fringe starter at best at Old Trafford, who will just be another player who graduated Uniteds system and will go on to be a good player, but not a great one, that United now demands. The difference here, though, is Welbeck didnt go to a Sunderland or, as in the case of Tom Cleverley, Aston Villa. Welbeck went to Arsenal, an enormous club that should expect to contend for championships. While there was plenty of noise about Uniteds decision to sell him, few said he was too good for United to let him go. However, what does that say about Arsenal? Their commitment to young British talent is admirable, but the development of Aaron Ramsey came at a crucial time for Arsene Wenger, who has been accused of not being the best coach to nurture and improve young players. Even those who think he can develop these players should be wondering just how many of these kind of players should be starting for Arsenal? The Gunners already have Calum Chambers, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere, all promising young English players who have shown great promise, but who are also inconsistent and do not regularly show repeatedly high standards that Premier League contenders require. The same can be said about Welbeck, up to now. According to Opta, Welbeck converts 25 per cent of his scoring chances in the Premier League, the same as Daniel Sturridge and the case of the Liverpool striker has been referred to often recently by people who believe Welbeck will thrive now he has more chances to play. Any striker should dream about playing with magicians like Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla and Mesut Ozil and it is clear that Welbeck will be given all the things he needs to succeed as the main frontman for Wenger, up until, at least, Giroud returns. He has good movement, is intelligent, works hard and links up well with others - all characteristics that Wenger admires, but the biggest question mark is over his finishing ability. It is another question mark to add to Arsenal, a team, in recent years, that has only flirted with the notion of being title contenders and have only come close to winning it once in the last ten seasons. Wenger was quick to respond to critics last season following the 1-1 home draw to Manchester City, claiming, “We are not as bad as people think or say we are.” The Frenchman might take people to task about their opinions, but he cannot argue against the fact that last season they played ten games against Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton and Manchester United and won just once. Until they can win a monumental match against a better team than them, then they are what many people think they are. Last season they played three super powers in the Premier League, all in early 12:45pm local kick-offs, and were destroyed 6-3 at Manchester City, 5-1 at Liverpool and 6-0 at Chelsea. This time, the early kick-off comes with the comforts of home where Wenger will not be able to say his team didnt have "focus, the right mentality, concentration or belief" like he repeatedly suggested in the three heavy defeats last season. City, losers of their previous match against Stoke, present a massive challenge for the Gunners and one that Wenger realistically knows his team cannot match over a 38 match season. That doesnt mean they cannot match and beat them over 90 minutes. Right now, though, Arsenal have a lot of good qualities, but rarely put it all together because they have the same reoccurring issues. Much like their newest signing. Together, for the first time, they will get the hardest examinations of all against the champions of England on Saturday.
