CLEVELAND -- Sitting in the last chair on Indianas bench, David West stared straight ahead, unable to look at the court. As the final seconds ticked off the clock on another disheartening loss, West seemed dazed. The Pacers promising season is unraveling Dion Waiters scored 19 points, Luol Deng added 15 and the Cleveland Cavaliers kept their playoff push going with a 90-76 win Sunday over the skidding Pacers, who are losing their grip on the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Tristan Thompson had 16 rebounds as the Cavs snapped a nine-game losing streak against Indiana. Cleveland came in three games behind slumping, idle Atlanta for the conferences final playoff spot. With seven games left -- six against teams with losing records -- the Cavs still have a chance. The Pacers, meanwhile, are falling apart. They lost their fifth straight road game and now lead Miami by one game for the Easts top record and home-court advantage throughout the post-season. Since beating the Heat at home last week, Indiana has lost to Washington and Cleveland. "Were losing games at an alarming rate to teams that are inferior to us," said West, who picked up a technical four in the fourth quarter. "We cant figure out a way to perform better. Weve done what you do. Weve had team meetings. Weve had players-only meetings. Weve had players and the coaches (meetings). Were kind of looking for answers right now, and things dont get any easier." Paul George scored 15 and West 14 for Indiana, which fell behind by 21 in the fourth quarter. Once thought to be a lock to make the conference finals, the Pacers are in disarray as they enter the final weeks of the regular season. "Were lost right now," guard Lance Stephenson said. "We just have to play through it." Indianas offence lacks rhythm, and other than their win over the Heat, the Pacers arent showing the same intensity or energy that has made them one of the NBAs top teams. "Were all frustrated," coach Frank Vogel said. "I think were playing against ourselves. Its a level of play that were trying to reach that were not close to where we need to be." The Pacers trailed the Cavs by 13 at halftime, and after pulling within six in the third, Indiana let the Cavs go on a 14-5 run, capped by Jarrett Jacks 3-pointer that made it 69-54. Indiana never got close enough to threaten the Cavs in the fourth, and Vogel pulled West and his other starters for the final 1:20 -- a surprising sign of surrender. Midway through the quarter, West was assessed the technical and a flagrant-1 after a mix-up with spunky Cavs rookie guard Matthew Dellavedova and Cleveland centre Spencer Hawes. Theres still time to get things fixed, but the Pacers have lost nine of 15 since March 4 and it wont get any easier with San Antonio coming in for a visit on Monday. The Spurs have won 17 straight. "Weve got to get to playing better," West said. "Weve got eight games left. Its going to get real. We dont want to be disappointed in April and May. Weve got to figure something out. Everybody, individually, all of us have to look at ourselves and figure out what we can do to right this ship." The Cavs, on the other hand, are peaking at the right time. They won for the fourth time in five games despite playing without All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving, who missed his eighth straight with an injured biceps. Irving could be back this week, when the Cavs, who are 14-12 since Feb. 5, are at Orlando before a showdown on Friday against the Hawks, who have lost six in a row. "Our guys just keep fighting," Cavs coach Mike Brown said. Cleveland played the second half without centre Anderson Varejao, who strained his right shoulder. The Cavs said their leading rebounder will be re-evaluated Monday. The Pacers, who shot just 37 per cent, lacked any offensive cohesion and left Cleveland searching for answers. "A lot of our guys are out of rhythm right now," Vogel said. "Weve got to figure it out." NOTES: The Pacers have scored less than 80 points in four of their past five games. ... Irving was scheduled to be re-evaluated Sunday by team physician Dr. Richard Parker. Its not yet known when, or if, Irving will play again. ... Clevelands schedule couldnt be better over the next seven games for its playoff drive. The Cavs will play just one team -- Brooklyn -- with a winning record and thats in the season finale. ... George is shooting just 31 per cent (40 of 130) in his last eight games. Grant Hill Jersey . Rostov qualified for Europe for the first time since 2000 with a surprise cup triumph. After twice making up one-goal deficits, the Hurricanes took their first lead in the third period. Lindholm tied it at 12:58 of the second period with a shot that glanced off the stick of Washington defenceman John Carlson. Less than a minute later, Ovechkin put Washington back in front by deflecting a shot by Steve Olesky into the net. NEW ORLEANS - The Toronto Raptors were without Jonas Valanciunas on Wednesday for their game in New Orleans against the Pelicans. Valanciunas, who left Tuesdays loss to the Hawks late in the third quarter with a lower back sprain, missed his first game of the season. Head coach Dwane Casey announced the news an hour and a half prior to tip-off. "His back is still tight," Casey said. "[He] wasnt able to get it loose. (Director of Sports Science) Alex (McKechnie) put him through some preliminary work and it still was tight so hes going to be out." Valanciunas sustained the injury turning to set a screen, feeling immediate pain in his lower back before McKechnie and the Raptors training staff made the call to pull him from the game. After navigating through a mini-slump to close the month of February, the Raptors sophomore centre had been playing some of his best basketball of the season over the past week. Getting off to hot starts in each of his last three games, Valanciunas has totalled 34 points on 14-of-20 shooting in the first quarter of those contests. The Raptors were already undermanned in the frontcourt, missing Patrick Patterson for a seventh straight game Wednesday. He is expected to be out at least another week resting an elbow injury. Tyler Hansbrough started in place of Valanciunas. Both he and Chuck Hayes will see increased playing time as long as the teams starting centre in sidelined. Amir Johnson also played against the Pelicans after tweaking a lingering right ankle injury at the end of regulation in Tuesdays overtime loss. "Weve been very fortunate not to have that many injuries up until this part of the season," said Casey. "A lot of teams had them earlier and its unfortunate were hitting them now but its part of the NBA. Now weve got to adjust to it and make hay from it." Valanciunas is considered day-to-day. The Tampa Bay Lightning took advantage of the Vancouver Canucks desire to shed a veteran defenceman. Numbers Game looks at the deal sending Jason Garrison back to the state of Florida. The Lighting Get: D Jason Garrison and LW Jeff Costello. Garrison, 29, is a defenceman with good size and a cannon of a shot from the point who tied a career-high with 33 points last seasn and will be able to handle top-four minutes on the Tampa Bay defence. Garrison has played more than 20 minutes per game in each of the past four seasons and, over the course of those four years, no defenceman has fired shots at a higher rate on the power play. Over the past three seasons, he ranks 15th among defencemen with 2.16 shots on goal per game and has missed a total of seven games, so hes been durable. Last season wasnt Garrisons best, in terms of possession stats, but hes had positive possession numbers in the past, so last year shouldnt preclude him from being a useful part of the Tampa Bay defence. In Tampa Bay, the Lightning really needed an upgrade on defence. Victor Hedman and Matt Carle were the only defencemen on the roster that averaged more than 20 minutes per game last season and Garrison will add stability, as well as a power play point threat, to that group. Garrison had to waive his no-trade clause for the deal to go through, and he has four years, at a cap hit of $4.6-million, remaining on his contract. Its also not a bad deal for Tampa Bay since the contracdt was front-loaded, so the last four years come at a total cost of $15.6-million (an average of $3.9-million per season). Costello is a 23-year-old winger who finished a four-year career at Notre Dame, scoring 82 points in 145 games. He was acquired from Ottawa at the trade deadline, but hes not signed and may be set to become a pro free agent after August 15. The Lightning dont currently have much room on their reserve list, and the Canucks could also use the extra room in their attempts to acquire more players. The Canucks Get: A second-round pick. The 50th overall pick presents about a one-in-three chance of netting an NHL player. While its useful to get an asset, the move is more about clearing room on the Vancouver blueline. Chris Tanev joins Dan Hamhuis, Kevin Bieksa and Alexander Edler in the top four on defence, and newly-acquired Luca Sbisa can pair with Ryan Stanton on the third pair, so there was room for the Canucks to move out an established NHL defenceman and, just as importantly move out the accompanying salary. Its been a busy day, just leading up to the draft, for the Canucks, so there could very well be more to come but, whats been done establishes that Vancouver will be younger than they were last season, with financial flexibility to make moves this summer if they so choose. With a new regime, it would come as no surprise if the Canucks continue to be active in their attempt to re-build the roster. Dortmund and Wolfsburg have been trending in opposite directions over the past few weeks as Wolfsburg entered the match in second place in the Bundesliga and riding a four-match unbeaten streak across all competitions. Dortmund, meanwhile, have uncharacteristically struggled all season, finding itself in 16th place in the Bundesliga with just 15 points. The home side got off to a positive start as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the scoring in the eighth minute, but Wolfsburg came back with an equalizer through former Chelsea man Kevin de Bruyne after 29 minutes. Dortmund then forged back in front through Ciro Immobile in the 76th minute, but they couldnt hold the lead as Naldo, a defender by trade, found the equalizer to save a point for Wolfsburg. The result keeps Wolfsburg in second place with 31 points, 11 behind leaders Bayern Munich, while Dortmund sits in the relegation zone with 15 points. Also iin the Bundesliga on Wednesday, Borussia Monchengladbach roared past 10- man Werder Bremen, 4-1, at Borussia Park.dddddddddddd Max Kruse opened the scoring with a penalty strike in the 32nd minute and Oscar Wendt doubled the advantage six minutes later. Zlatko Junuzovic pulled one back for Bremen in the 51st minute, but the visitors then went down to 10 men as Luca Caldirola was shown a second yellow card and sent off in the 66th minute. Christoph Kramer and Branimir Hrgota fired home with other two tallies for Monchengladbach, which jumped into third place on 27 points, ahead of Bayer Leverkusen on goal difference. Stefan Aigner and Alexander Meier each scored a pair of goals for Eintracht but it wasnt enough to secure three points as John Brooks, Anis Ben-Hatira, Julian Schieber and Peter Niemeyer all scored for Hertha Berlin and the clubs played to a wild 4-4 draw. Stefan Kiesslings 79th-minute strike was enough to lift Bayer Leverkusen to a 1-0 win over Hoffenheim, while goals from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Roman Neustaedter powered Schalke to a 2-1 win over Paderborn. cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys from china ' ' '

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Bryce Petty and Baylors vaunted offence needed some help from the defence to build a lead against TCU. When that cushion was in jeopardy in the final seconds, the secondary came through one more time for the No. 9 Bears. Petty threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score, Baylor returned two interceptions for touchdowns and turned away an upset bid with a late pick in the end zone for a 41-38 victory against TCU on Saturday. "For the defence to have played like they did, I mean, I cant say enough about the defence," Petty said. "The defence is the MVP of this team, the way they turned it around, the way they kept us in games." The Bears (10-1, 7-1 Big 12) scored 21 consecutive points on either side of halftime with just 1 yard from their high-powered offence and bounced back from a blowout loss at Oklahoma State to maintain their hopes for a share of the conference title. Baylor could win the league outright and qualify for a BCS bid, likely the Fiesta Bowl, if it beats Texas and the Cowboys lose to Oklahoma next Saturday. The Horned Frogs (4-8, 2-7) were in position to tie at the Baylor 23 in the final seconds when Casey Pachall decided to go to the end zone and threw his third interception. Sam Holl dove in front of Brandon Carter just as the ball reached the TCU receiver inside the 5, causing it to pop into the air off Carters hands and into the arms of Terrell Burt as he crossed the goal line. Baylors Orion Stewart and Eddie Lackey had interception returns for scores off Pachall on either side of halftime. "It came down to my three interceptions that cost us the game," said Pachall, a senior playing his final game after missing most of last season to enter a substance abuse program following a DWI arrest and getting knocked out of five games this year with a broken arm. TCUs second season in the Big 12 ended with the schools fewest wins since going 1-10 in 1997. "The bottom line is, we should have beat them," TCU coach Gary Patterson said. "That was our bowl game." The Baylor offence had running backs Lache Seastrunk and Glasco Martin for the first time after both missed two games with injuries, and the Bears started fast. Baylor ran 40 plays in the first quarter and had 201 yards before sputtering the rest of the way and finishing with a season-low 370 yards -- 292 yards off their nation-leading average of 662. The Frogs outgained the Bears by 40. Seastrunk had 92 yards against the Big 12s best rushing defence in the first half, but just 2 after halftime. "We couldnt ever maintain any continuity," said Baylor coach Art Briles, who was on the sideline three days after his older brother, Eddie, died from an apparent head injury after a fall. "Some of thats got to do with TCU." Pachall erased some of a 34-17 deficit built on his mistakes with a 4-yard touchdown run and a 16-yard scoring pass to Josh Doctson. The first scoring drive was kept alive when Baylor safety Ahmad Dixon was penalized for targeting and ejected after hitting Trevone Boykin with his helmet on a third-down incompletion. Patterson said a coach from the Baylor sideline came across the field to yell at him after Dixon was thrown out. He never specified which coach. "If thats what class is, then I dont want to be it," said an agitated Patterson, who had his first losing record since 2004 and just his second in 13 seasons at TCU. The two interceptions returned for scores came in a span of just four passes from Pachall, who was 20 of 45 for 267 yards and two scores. Stewart jumped an out route and went 82 yards after a slipping tackle from Carter, and Lackey stepped in front of a slant and ran untouched 54 yards to put Baylor up 34-17. Before the two interception returns, Petty had a 1-yard scoring run after TCUs B.J. Catalon ran into the back of one of his linemen at the 10 and fumbled. Beau Blackshear recovered at the 1. After Pachalls first scoring pass made it 34-31, Baylor went back up 10 when Petty completed a 26-yard pass to Clay Fuller on third down, then found Levi Norwood on a 33-yard score. Petty had 206 yards passing. TCU answered when Petty threw just his second interception of the season to Sam Carter, setting up TCU on the Baylor 25. Pachall fooled Stewart with a pump fake for an easy 22-yard score to David Porter on the first play of the fourth quarter to make it 41-38. nfl jerseys china . -- Edwin Encarnacion hit a two-run homer in the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday. cheap jerseys from china .Y. -- Any chance the St. http://www.cheapnfljerseys2015.us.com/ . Choice hit a tiebreaking homer in the seventh inning after Darvish blew a four-run lead and the Rangers snapped Clevelands six-game winning streak with a 6-4 victory over the Indians on Friday night. The decisive shot from Choice came after his RBI single in a four-run second. A night earlier, he homered to give the Rangers another big early lead they couldnt hold before going on to beat Baltimore. "I feel like I started out kind of passive at the plate, trying to feel guys out," said Choice, who is getting his first extensive time in the big leagues after an off-season trade brought him from Oakland. "And lately Ive tried to be more aggressive and be not so picky at the plate." Choice went the opposite way just over the right field wall against Marc Rzepczynski (0-2) with two outs for a solo homer. The shot made a winner of Darvish (6-2) after the Japanese ace gave up a season-high nine hits in seven innings. Texas reliever Jason Frasor got a nifty double play from Elvis Andrus in a scoreless eighth, and closer Joakim Soria had two strikeouts in the ninth for his 13th save. Lonnie Chisenhall and Asdrubal Cabrera homered off Darvish to wipe out a 4-0 deficit, but the Indians followed a 6-0 homestand by starting a 10-game trip with their fifth straight road loss. They have the worst record in the majors away from home at 9-20. Chisenhall hit the first three-run homer Darvish has allowed in his three big league seasons, a shot off the foul pole in right field in the third inning. The Indians pulled even an inning later on a solo shot to right by Cabrera, who had three hits. "When youre going against a guy like him who never gives in, his best stuff every night, the best stuff in the league, its a good feeling to answer back real quick and hhes not able to get comfortable," Chisenhall said.dddddddddddd Trevor Bauer had retired 13 of the last 15 Rangers he faced without allowing a hit when Rzepczynski came on to face the left-handed Leonys Martin and struck him out. But Choice put the Rangers ahead on the next pitch. Rzepczynski "was just trying to get ahead like he does and sink it," Cleveland manager Terry Francona said. "It just caught too much of the plate." Cleveland had a good chance to take the lead in the sixth after singles from Yan Gomes, his third of the game, and Carlos Santana. But Darvish got Mike Aviles and Michael Bourn on called strikes and Cabrera on a weak grounder back to him. Darvish had eight strikeouts, and three of the four against Bourn. "I think the strike zone was a little bit smaller today so I had to be creative," Darvish said. "So I started throwing cut fastballs and sliders to throw the other hitters off." Bauer had all six of his strikeouts after giving up a two-run homer to Rougned Odor into the upper deck in right field in the second. "He pitched behind a lot in the count to a lot of dangerous hitters, but he still competed," Francona said. NOTES: An eighth-inning single gave Andrus a hit in all 38 games of his career against Cleveland. It ties the second-longest streak for a player against the same opponent going back to 1914, according to STATS. Vladimir Guerrero had a 44-game streak for the Los Angeles Angels against Texas from 2004 to 2006. Bostons Jacoby Ellsbury had a 38-game streak against Baltimore from 2009 to 2012. Andrus streak started with his major league debut on April 6, 2009. ... Clevelands David Murphy was 0 for 3 with a walk in his first game in Texas since leaving as a free agent. He spent six-plus seasons with the Rangers, including both of the franchises World Series years in 2010 and 2011. cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys from china ' ' '

NEW YORK -- California Chrome has galloped two miles at Belmont Park, with the Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner preparing for the final leg of the Triple Crown. Assistant trainer Alan Sherman says California Chrome was especially eager Tuesday, noticeably tugging at him in the barn and then exercise rider Willie Delgado during the gallop. Delgado says it was hard to resist letting the chestnut colt go faster. He says California Chrome seems to like the tracks deep and sandy surface. Sherman says the colt is scheduled for his only official timed workout before the Belmont on Saturday. California Chrome is set to run in the 1 1/2-mile race on June 7. No horse has swept the Derby, Preakness and Belmont since Affirmed in 1978. LISBON, Portugal -- Fernando Santos is taking over as Portugal coach, despite his eight-game international ban for misconduct at the World Cup. The former Greece coach replaces Paulo Bento, who quit two weeks ago after a run of poor results, the Portuguese Football Federation said in a brief statement on its website on Tuesday. The 59-year-old Portuguese will be presented at a news conference on Wednesday, the statement said, but gave no further information. FIFA banned Santos in August for verbally abusing match officials in Brazil while coaching Greece. Santos is appealing that ban, with a ruling expected this week. Santos, who was due to leave the Greece job after the tournament, was banished from the dugout after extra time of a second-round match against Costa Rica, which finished 1-1. His team then lost the penalty shootout. Santos needs to rally a Portugal team that disappointed at the World Cup, where it went home after the first round, and then lost 1-0 to Albania this month in its opening European Championship qualifier. Portugals next match in its campaign is against Denmark on Oct. 14. Santos has built a reputation for rescuing troubled teams. He took over a Greece that was in the doldrums after the 2012 World Cup, and racked up an unbeaten run in his first 15 months on the job. He picked talented youngsters and introduced a more attacking style, often deploying three strikers. That is the kind of makeover Portugal needs, with fans demanding more playing time for a younger crop of players, more goals, and less dependence on star Cristiano Ronaldo, who sat out the Albania match. Before joining Greece in 2010, Santos coached Portuguese clubs Porto and Benfica, and AEK Athens, Panathinakos, and PAOK in Greece. NZ-E073 2015 Nike Roshe Run KPU Womens Shoes Blue . Louis Blues, having added Ryan Miller and Steve Ott from Buffalo, remain the No.Wanted. CFL coaches. Several openings available. Send your resume to Scott Milanovich c/o Toronto Argonauts. Experience preferred. That may sound a bit extreme, but the Toronto Argonauts coaching staff has been decimated in the off-season. Former defensive coordinator Chris Jones is the new head coach in Edmonton, while former special teams coordinator Mike OShea was named as the Blue Bombers head coach in early December. The main difference between the two? Jones didnt leave on his own. On Tuesday, it was announced that Jones was bringing four members of last years Argo staff with him to Edmonton. Steve McAdoo was Torontos o-line coach for the past four seasons and becomes Edmontons new offensive coordinator. Ed Philions first year coaching in the CFL was last year with the Argos defensive line, the same group hell coach with the Eskies. Two young assistant coaches, Jason Shivers and Craig Davoren leave Ontario to become defensive backs coach and offensive assistant coach respectively. Scott Milanovich replaced Jones with former Winnipeg head coach Tim Burke, but now has a lot of vacancies on the staff. Was he surprised at all with the number of defections? "Not at all," Milanovich told TSN.ca. "I knew a week after the season who was going." The coach says that at some point after the season Eskies GM Ed Hervey called Jim Barker, his Toronto counterpart, and asked for permission. Its an expected part of life on the coaching carousel. "All of the contracts would have been up at the end of the month. I spoke with Chris (Jones) about it. I told him who was and wasnt availabble.dddddddddddd There were no surprises." Perhaps the least shocking move is that McAdoo is heading west. He and Jones coached for three seasons together at Tennessee Tech, four years together with the Montreal Alouettes and the last two campaigns together in Toronto. When Jones left, Burke was hired almost immediately to replace him. It was an easy fit. They had coached together in Montreal, Burke had a ton of experience and had great success as a DC in the league. The OShea replacement hasnt been as easy. "I think (special teams coordinator) is a very difficult position to fill in the CFL" Milanovich explained to TSN.ca "It doesnt get the respect it deserves. I dont think you can go and get an NCAA D-1 or NFL coach and get a successful transition in one year. The return game, the halo, the number of snaps you take on special teams makes it more of a position that needs CFL or CIS experience." The search continues and Milanovich says the club has focsed on several candidates. "I have spoken to maybe four or five" continued the coach. "Ive dug around and asked about six or seven others and have asked other guys for their opinions." Historically the CIS has been snubbed as a breeding ground for CFL coaches, though Mike OShea named long-time Queens DC Pat Tracey as the Bombers special teams coach. Would Milanovich have a problem going that route? "Not for the right guy." Milanovich hopes to have that guy, and the rest of his new staff assembled in the next two to three weeks. He hopes to announce the entire staff at the same time. cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys from china ' ' '

NASHVILLE -- The Nashville Predators used a fast start to stay on a roll. Nick Spaling, Mike Fisher and Gabriel Bourque scored first-period goals to lead Nashville to a 4-2 win over the Phoenix Coyotes on Monday night. Shea Weber also scored for Nashville, which has won four of five. Mikkel Boedker and Tim Kennedy scored for the Coyotes, who lost their third straight. Spaling scored the games first goal at 1:02 of the opening period. From the right side, Matt Cullens initial shot was denied by Phoenix goaltender Mike Smith. But skating through the slot, Spaling picked up the rebound and put it over Smiths right shoulder. "I think the key to our success is coming out early," Spaling said. "Were at home and we have to take advantage of playing here. Weve been on the road quite a bit lately, so its nice to be home." Craig Smith also assisted on the goal for Nashville, his ninth of the season. Fisher doubled the Nashville lead at 8:22 of the first. From below the goal line to the right of the Phoenix net, Colin Wilson found Fisher in the right circle, where he beat Smith low to the stick side. Fishers goal came just seconds after Phoenix captain Shane Doan rang a shot off the right post. "I thought the two last periods, we were all right, but we cant keep getting behind like that," Boedker said. "It seems like every time they score, we start playing, which is not what we want to do." Bourque made it 3-0 at 18:27 of the first when he converted off a nice pass from Viktor Stalberg with Nashville on a 2-on-1 break. "That was a great pass," Bourque said. "We came with a lot of speed. It was a nice pass and I just had to bury it in." Phoenix made it 3-1 at 9:34 of the second when Boedker tipped Antoine Vermettes wrister from the right faceoff dot and beat Nashville goaltender Marek Mazanec between the pads. "They had a push in the second," Nashville coach Barry Trotz said. "I thought we were deflecting it pretty well and going pretty well until they scored the goal. They got a little momentum off of that." Kennedy got the Coyotes within a goal at 13:00 of the second when he grabbed a loose puck and beat Mazanec for his first of the season. "We just made some mistakes 1-on-1, missed coverages that ended up in the back of our net three times," Phoenix coach Dave Tippett said. "We had to get ourselves back into the game before we got embarrassed." Weber added an empty-netter with 34.3 seconds remaining. Weber was just attempting to clear the puck from inside the Nashville zone, but his bank shot caromed perfectly off the boards and into the vacated Phoenix goal. Doan did not return to the bench for the start of the third period. The team announced that he would not return to the game due to a lower-body injury. The Vancouver Canucks currently are finding both goals and wins difficult to come by. The club hopes to break out of its slump on Friday when it welcomes the Columbus Blue Jackets for a battle at Rogers Arena. The Canucks have lost five straight games and have scored a total of six goals during the 0-3-2 stretch. The only time Vancouver managed to score more than one goal during the slide was in its last game, a 3-2 shootout loss on Tuesday night against the Florida Panthers. The loss to the visiting Panthers dropped Vancouver to 1-0-2 so far on a six- game homestand. The Canucks are only 4-4-2 on home ice this season, but tonights opponent has had little success playing British Columbia over the years. Columbus has dropped six straight in Vancouver and hasnt won at Rogers Arena since a 5-3 decision on Oct. 5, 2009. The Canucks did lose earlier this season in Columbus, as R.J. Umberger scored the game-winner in the third period to lift the Blue Jackets to a 3-1 win. Curtis McElhinney stopped 37 shots for Columbus to earn the win, which was just the third victory for the Jackets in the past 15 encounters between the clubs. Vancouver fell behind 1-0 to the Panthers less than four minutes into the game, but the Canucks eventually held a 2-1 lead early in the third period. However, Shawn Matthias tied the game at 2-2 for Florida with 11:26 to go in regulation and Jonathan Huberdeau scored the lone goal in the shootout to give the Panthers the win. Florida goaltender Tim Thomas stopped all three Vancouver attempts in the tiebreaker. Roberto Luongo put together a solid showing for Vancouver with 34 saves, but it was not enough to end Vancouvers losing streak, which is the clubs longest since an 0-5-3 skid from Jan. 9-31, 2009. "I just dont know what were thinking as far as how we start a game," Canucks head coach John Tortorella said. "I cant explain it." Including tonights contest, Vancouver has three games left on its homestand. The club will host Chicago tomorrow night before wrapping the residency Monday against Los Angeles. Columbus, meanwhile, is playing the fourth part of a five-game road trip on Friday and is 2-1-0 on the swing so far. The Blue Jackets won the opener of the trip in Ottawa by a 4-1 score before getting absolutely destroyed in a 7-0 defeat Tuesday night in Edmonton. However, Columbus was able to right itself after the lopsided loss to the Oilers, picking up a 2-1 overtime win the following night in Calgary. Nikita Nikitin scored the game-winner 2:25 into overtime to lift the Blue Jackets to the rebound victory on Wednesday. Flames goalie Reto Berra was able to stop a shot from point-blank range, but David Savard found Nikitin in front of the net and Berra was unable to recover in time as the puck crossed the goal line for the win. Nick Foligno also scored and Nikitin had an assist for the Blue Jackets. Sergei Bobrovsky turned aside 23 shots in the win. "I thought we battled," Columbus head coach Todd Richards said. "We got the win. We got two points, which is important." Bobrovsky expects to get the start tonight and is 1-0-2 with a 1.05 goals against average in four career outings against the Canucks. Luongo is 10-5-5 with a 2.11 GAA in 20 lifetime starts versus Columbus. Cedric Ogbuehi Bengals Jersey . NEW YORK -- Through all the drama surrounding the New York Yankees this year -- the lineup changes, injuries and off-field issues -- Joe Girardi has had one constant: Robinson Cano. And the smooth-swinging second baseman has not let his manager down. Cano gave the Yankees the lead for the second straight game against Toronto, this time hitting a two-run double in the seventh inning to exceed 100 RBIs for the second consecutive season, and New York rallied to beat the Blue Jays 6-4 on Saturday for its sixth win in seven games. "This kid loves to play the game, loves pressure moments," Girardi said. "Its a pleasure to pencil his name in there every day. Its real easy." Cano lined a 2-2 pitch from reliever Casey Janssen to the wall in centre field to score Curtis Granderson and Alex Rodriguez, back in the lineup after missing a week with a sprained left thumb. A .309 career hitter, Cano was motivated by the walk to Rodriguez. "Every time I see they walk a guy in front of me, that pumps me up," Cano said, "and I say, Come on, now is a situation where youve got to show them theyve got to pitch to the guy in front of you." Ricky Romero (13-10) was cruising along after giving up a two-run homer to Francisco Cervelli and an RBI single to Eduardo Nunez in the third until he hit Granderson in the back with a curveball with one out in the seventh and walked Rodriguez. After Canos hit, Nick Swisher ended Janssens scoreless streak at 16 2-3 innings with an RBI single, making it 6-4. Cano had the tiebreaking hit in Friday nights 3-2 win, a single in the fifth. He has 101 RBIs this season. "Hes a good hitter. (I) didnt have to give in 2-2 but definitely wanted to throw an aggressive pitch and he hit it," Janssen said. "It was a cutter. A little bit flatter than I wanted it." The Yankees improved to a major league-best 36-9 in day games and ended Romeros winning streak at six straight decisions. His last loss came against New York on July 16. "I thought I did a pretty good job of battling," Romero said. Rodriguez returned with a taped left thumb after missing six games. With Derek Jeter getting a day off after a night game and Mark Teixeira out for a second straight game because of a sore knee, A-Rod batted third for the first time since 2008. He went 1 for 3, striking out in the fifth after getting ahead in the count 3-0, and walked. Boone Logan (5-2) relieved Bartolo Colon with one out in the seventh and got two outs for the victory. David Robertson tossed a perfect eighth. With Mariano Rivera and Rafael Soriano unavailable after each pitched two straight nights, Robertson gave up a hit in thhe ninth before finishing his first two-inning outing in more than a year for his first save this season and third of his career.dddddddddddd Robertson would love to be a closer, but knows it wont happen soon. "I dont have to worry about it. Weve got 42 here," Robertson said, referring to Rivera, who is four saves away from 600. Toronto injury replacement Dewayne Wise tripled in his first at-bat after entering the game for Eric Thames, who left because of dizziness after striking out looking in the first. Wise hit his first homer of the season in the fifth, a tiebreaking shot. Blue Jays shortstop Yunel Escobar also left because of an injury, pulling out before the bottom of the fifth with a jammed left wrist. He said X-rays were negative but he was sore and wouldnt play Sunday. Adam Lind connected off Colon and Jose Bautista drove in a run for the fourth straight game for Toronto, which built a 4-3 lead against Colon in the fifth. Colon came in 6-1 with 1.88 earned-run average in eight day starts, but he struggled at times in his 6 1-3 innings, giving up four runs and seven hits. He struck out seven and walked one, throwing a season-high 107 pitches. Colon started off well enough in the brilliant sunshine, striking out the side -- two looking with nasty movement on his fastball and a sharp breaking pitch. The second inning was another story. Lind led off with his 24th home run, Edwin Encarnacion and Kelly Johnson each had a single and Encarnacion advanced to third on Brett Lawries fielders choice. J.P. Arencibia gave Toronto a 2-0 lead with a sacrifice fly. The Yankees scored three times with two outs in the bottom half. Nunez laced an RBI single and Cervelli followed with a two-run homer. He crossed the plate without the hand clap that upset pitcher John Lackey on Tuesday night in Boston and led to a bench-clearing staredown two innings later. The Blue Jays got a run right back when Wise tripled into the right-field corner and scored on Bautistas single. Colon struck out his last batter of the third and fanned the side in the fourth. Wise homered into the Yankees bullpen in right-centre with one out in the fifth for a 4-3 lead. NOTES: Teixeira said he was feeling better and should return to the lineup Sunday. ... Blue Jays 3B coach Brian Butterfield was ejected for arguing balls and strikes after Johnson struck out to end the third inning. ... After being bested in extra innings on Monday for their 13th loss in 16 games, the Twins rode the arm of Nick Blackburn and the bat of Denard Span to a 4-2 victory last night. Blackburn hurled his fifth career complete game to even his season record at 4-4, while Span had three hits and drove in a run with an RBI double during a two-run seventh inning that put Minnesota ahead for good. Andy Dalton Jersey . Granada goalkeeper Roberto Fernandez saved Morenos first two headers from corner kicks taken by Sergio Garcia, but the defender beat him on his third try after Garcia found Moreno unmarked at the near post in the 78th minute. http://www.footballbengalsfanatics.com/authentic-vontaze-burfict-bengals-jersey/ . -- Rakuten Eagles President Yozo Tachibana says no decision has been made on whether star pitcher Masahiro Tanaka will be made available to Major League Baseball teams. Cedric Ogbuehi Jersey . Tim Hudson delivered. Hudson gave the ailing rotation a lift and Atlanta got home runs from Brian McCann and Chipper Jones in a 5-2 victory over the Washington Nationals on Thursday night. Russell Bodine Jersey . Jussi Jokinen skated across the front of the crease and roofed a shot over sprawling goalie Semyon Varlamov to give the Penguins a 3-2 win in a shootout on Sunday night. NOTES: Teixeira said he was feeling better and should return to the lineup Sunday. ... Blue Jays 3B coach Brian Butterfield was ejected for arguing balls and strikes after Johnson struck out to end the third inning. ... Acting manager Don Wakamatsu said Bautista was sore after fouling ball off his leg Friday night and the slugging RF will probably DH on Sunday. "Get him off his feet a little bit tomorrow," Wakamatsu said. ... Top Yankees prospect Jesus Montero got his first big league hit in the sixth, a single. cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys from china ' ' '

UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- The Winnipeg Jets are off to a good start on a six-game road trip after trouble winning at home. The Islanders are struggling no matter where they are playing. Mark Stuart, Andrew Ladd and Devin Setoguchi scored second-period goals and Al Montoya made 28 saves and the Jets defeated the Islanders 3-2 on Wednesday. It was a second straight victory to start a six-game road trip for Winnipeg following a win at New Jersey on Monday. The Jets continue their trip at Philadelphia on Friday before playing the Rangers, Florida and Tampa Bay next week. They had lost three straight at home -- two in shootouts -- before starting the trip. "We gave them some life late, but we managed the game well when it counted most," Jets coach Claude Noel said. "Al made some big stops for us and we found a way to hold on." Stuarts first goal of the season on a blast from the left point right off a faceoff eluded Kevin Poulin to the glove side at 11:27. Ladd, the Jets captain, made it 2-0 off a scramble in front at 14:39 with his seventh of the season. Setoguchi made it 3-0 with his sixth goal at 16:42. Defenceman Andrew MacDonald scored for the Islanders at 17:49 of the second on the power play when he took a cross-ice pass from Thomas Vanek at the left point and fired the puck past Montoya. John Tavares made it a one-goal game at 14:01 of the third when he poked a rebound past Montoya for his team-leading 11th goal of the season. Tavares, who assisted on MacDonalds goal, leads the Islanders with 29 points. "We need everyone to have the same mindset, play hard every shift and do all the little extra things on the ice," Tavares said. "When we dont do that as a team, we are pretty easy to play against. No question this is frustrating and we need to address it." Winnipegs Jacob Trouba went off for hooking at 14:54 of the third, but the Islanders put minimal pressure on Montoya. The Islanders were coming off a poor road trip, losing at Toronto, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. They were hoping the start of a four-game homestand would be a turnaround. But the Jets handed the Islanders their ninth loss in 11 games. New York is 8-14-3 overall, last in the Metropolitan Division. And since acquiring the high-scoring Vanek in a trade with Buffalo for popular left wing Matt Moulson on Oct. 27, the Islanders are 4-10. "We have character guys in our room and I know if they keep working, we will turn this around," Islanders coach Jack Capuano said. "When you dont get results, its tough mentally. You just have to find a way out of it." The teams played a spirited scoreless first period, featuring end-to-end action at both ends of the rink. The Islanders outshot the Jets 13-11, but failed to capitalize on two power plays. Both goaltenders played well early. Poulin stopped Matt Halischuk with a flailing stop midway through the second to keep the game scoreless, but the Jets solved the Islanders goaltender shortly thereafter. The 23-year-old Poulin has struggled since becoming the teams No. 1 goaltender after starter Evgeni Nabokov sustained a groin injury against Detroit on Nov. 16. Poulin has lost four straight starts and has allowed 21 goals in his past six appearances. "We gave them too many opportunities," Poulin said. Montoya, the sixth overall pick by the Rangers in the 2004 draft, improved to 3-2-1 as he gave starter Ondrej Pavelec a rest. Montoya never played for the Rangers but did play for the Islanders for two years before joining the Jets last season. "It felt really good," Montoya said. "It was especially great to win here against the organization that gave me a chance in the NHL." The Jets are playing their first season in the Western Conference after the past two seasons in the east. They moved to Winnipeg from Atlanta after 2010-11, but the league didnt move them until realignment was implemented before this season. NOTES: The Islanders continued to be without defencemen Brian Strait (upper body) and Lubomir Visnovsky (concussion). ... The Jets were missing defencemen Zach Bogosian (groin) and Paul Postma (blood clot) and forward Jim Slater (sports hernia). ... The Islanders are 0-12-1 when they score fewer than three goals. ... The teams also meet March 4 in Winnipeg. Carmelo Anthony Swingman Jersey . And he thinks its "irresponsible" for the Buffalo Sabres to suggest otherwise. BAROLO, Italy -- Rigoberto Uran won the 12th stage of the Giro dItalia and took the overall lead on Thursday. The Colombian was 57 seconds behind Cadel Evans going into the stage, then won the 42-kilometre (26-mile) individual time trial from Barbaresco to Barolo in under an hour, and Evans finished 1 minute, 34 seconds behind in third. "Its incredible, Im really surprised. I didnt think that I would win it. I cannot believe I won the stage and took the pink jersey," Uran said. "I worked a lot on my time trial, spending time in the wind tunnel over the winter, but today surpassed my expectations. "Its too early to say the race is over. We still have not raced the hardest mountains yet. The most difficult part of the Giro is still to come." Uran took the pink jersey off Evans to lead the Australian by 37 seconds. "I saw Uran coming into form," Evans said, "but I honestly did not expect him to have such an amazing time trial. Of course, I had hoped to have done better myself. The time trial course suited me well, but as I said yesterday, the verdict is on the road. "My position is good tactically. It is going to be interesting." Diego Ulissi led for most of the day and looked on course for a third stage victory in the race but had to settle for second after Uran beat the Italian cyclists time by 1:17. Overall, Rafal Majka was third, 1:52 behind Uran. Thomas de Gendt was one of the early leaders and was in front for a long time as he was one of the last cyclists to complete the stage on dry roads. Later cyclists struggled in the rain, and there was even thunder and lightning at the finish. There was a scare when Tobias Ludvigsson misjudged a corner on the technical descent and went flying over a barrier, landing hard after a short drop. He lay prone for several minutes but was later seen sitting up before being taken to hospital. The weather abated and the roads were beginning to dry out again when Ulissi came flying out of the starting gates. He crossed the line 50 seconds ahead of De Gendt, who eventually finished eighth. MADRID, Spain -- After a difficult summer, the Basketball World Cup has been pretty easy for the U.S. No games have been close in the final minutes, and only one was even competitive entering the final period. This depleted team that was supposed to be vulnerable has instead been invincible. The Americans believe that tough game is coming Sunday -- and so does Serbia, their opponent. "They have supreme confidence and just that expectation, I think, that they feel like theyre going to win," U.S. guard Stephen Curry said, "and we have that same mentality as well." Serbia is the only team left that can stop the Americans from repeating as world champions, looking to regain a title thats meant so much in its basketball history. "They are great, good team, but for sure we wont go inside the game to lose," Serbian guard Milos Teodosic said. The Americans were supposed to be here, though the road to the final was expected to be tougher once Kevin Durant, Kevin Love and Blake Griffin withdrew, and Paul George broke his right leg. But the opponent is a surprise. The Serbians barely qualified for the 24-team field as the seventh-place finisher in last years European championship. They were only 2-3 in the group stage, advancing as the fourth and final team from the powerful Group A, but have peaked since the games became win or go home. A 90-72 rout of previously unbeaten Greece in the round of 16 was followed by an 84-56 victory over Brazil in the quarterfinals. Then the Serbians built a huge lead and held on Friday for a 90-85 victory over France, which had beat then in the group stage and knocked out tournament co-favourite Spain in the quarters. "Theyre just playing great basketball right now and actually its beautiful to see. I hope I dont see that beauty tomorrow night," U.S. coach Mike Krzyzewski said. "But theyve been playing lights-out basketball." The Americans have been more dominant, averaging 101.5 points and winning by 32.5 per game. Their last two games had single-digit margins at halftime, and yet they ended up winning both by a combined 71 points. "I cannot say were going to win against the U.S, but Im sure were going to give all our best and try to fight, but its going to be hard for sure," said former NBA centre Nenad Krstic. The Americans have never repeated as world champions. The last team to win titles consecutively was Yugoslavia in 1998 and 2002. Krstic remembers cheering for his country mates during the latter game, held in the United States, at a gas station with his club team that was on a bus at the time. It was the last of a record five world titles won by Yugoslavia when Serbia competed as part of that nation. The Serbians have retained that basketball passion since competing under their own flag -- Curry played on the U.S. team that lost to host Serbia in the championship game of the 2007 under-19 tournament. "Its tough winning silver that game, so hopefully we can be on the other side of it this time around," Curry said. Serbia is already guaranteed its first medal at the senior level. The Serbians -- whose Olympic committee president is former NBA centre Vlade Divac -- finished fourth in 2010. "It means a lot because we are a basketball country," Krstic said. "Lots of people, whole country watch this game." The Americans say its just as important to them, especially after all the adversity they faced before the games began. USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo has said a gold medal would be the sweetest one since he took over the program in 2005, since it seemed so in doubt as big name after big name passed on the trip to Spain. "Its everything for us," U.S. forward James Harden said. "We came here with one thing on our mind, thats to win the gold medal. We came this far, doing an excellent job this far in this tournament. So one more game to complete our mission." Jose Calderon Authentic Jersey . Lionel Messi volleyed in Dani Alves pass for his 28th league goal this season in the 23rd minute, only for Lafita to level after a rare attack for Getafe in the 37th. Alexey Shved Jersey . - Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr often reminds his players the morning of a big game that they better be ready for a tough test that night.GLENDALE, Ariz. - The odd rules that the NFL tried in the Pro Bowl made for a strange sideshow. No kickoffs, no blitzing, alternate possessions to start each quarter, two-minute warnings for each quarter and stopping the clock when a running play doesnt gain a yard in the final two minutes. And skinny little goal posts, particularly hard to hit on longer extra-point kicks.A capacity crowd of 63,225 watched Team Irvin beat Team Carter 32-28. Chances are no one came to see if Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri — who had not missed a PAT in five years — could squeeze a 33-yard extra point through 14-foot wide uprights.Twice he couldnt.Vinatieris counterpart on Team Carter, rookie Cody Parkey, didnt miss. But he didnt like the experiment. Its just unfortunate that theyre trying to make it harder us for a lot of guys success in the league, he said.Vinatieri also missed a field goal.Parkey, who kicks for Philadelphia, said his job got a lot tougher with the smaller target and the added distance. Its definitely different, but at the same time, you just go out there and kick your ball, and a little more accuracy is definitely needed. It was the second Pro Bowl in which the NFL dropped the AFC vs. NFC format and had big-name former players pick their teams in a draft. The guys enjoy it, Houston defensive end J.J. Watt said. The new style where you pick teams make it like schoolyard ball, Ive said that before, its competitive. Some things we learned from Sundays Pro BowlTARS COME OUT: The best players usually make the biggest plays, and that was true on Sunday. At the top of the list was Watt, who intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble. Named the games defensive MVP, he also showed how much fun he was having, dancing during commercial breaks.I just tried to enjoy it. Thats what the Pro Bowl is all about, giving the fans a good show, he said.Jimmy Graham, New Orleans superb tight end, caught two touchdown passes and dunked over the goal post both times. In a real game that would have been a penalty. That was amazing. For me, it made the entire week, he said. Hopefully, one day theyll look back and change this rule so I can do itt in a real game.dddddddddddd And hopefully one day in the Super Bowl.Indianapolis Andrew Luck completed 9 of 10 passes for 119 yards and two scores. Detroits Matthew Stafford, the offensive MVP, was 15 for 25 for 316 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. And rookie Odell Beckham Jr. of the New York Giants caught five passes for 89 yards, including a diving ground-level grab of a 48-yard pass from Stafford.BIG CROWD: The Pro Bowl has just a one-year run in the desert. Next year it will be back in Hawaii, where the crowds are nothing like the one that showed up in Glendale on Sunday. The NFL staged the Pro Bowl on the same field where the Super Bowl will be played next Sunday. That meant a big media contingent, too.The people have been fantastic, Dallas quarterback Tony Romo said. Theyve got a lot of passionate fans. Its been a great week.TEAMMATES: With Michael Irvin and Cris Carter picking the teams, there were some NFL teammates on the same side and some going against each other.T.Y. Hilton caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from his Indianapolis quarterback Luck.Stafford connected with Detroit teammate Golden Tate on a 60-yard play.Golden came out here and played fantastic tonight, had some big plays, Stafford said. Obviously got me off to a fast start and hes been doing that for me for a long time.Even when players faced a teammate, they couldnt help but cheer them on.When Jordy Nelson caught a caught a 21-yard touchdown pass from Drew Brees for Team Carter, he jumped up in celebration with Green Bay teammate Clay Matthews, who was playing for Team Irvin.LOTS OF Offence: As usual, offence ruled in the Pro Bowl. The teams combined for 1,067 yards and 54 first downs. And the wealth was spread around.Ten players caught at least one pass for each team.OPEN ROOF: Arizona Cardinals fans may have forgotten, but the roof does slide open at University of Phoenix Stadium.Sunday marked the first time it was open for a game since the Cardinals played San Francisco on Dec. 29, 2013.The Cardinals like it closed because its a lot louder.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys from china ' ' '

CHICAGO -- Bryan Bickell is looking forward to Fridays parade and rally for the Chicago Blackhawks second Stanley Cup title in four seasons. The big forward also hopes to be a part of more celebrations in the city in the coming years. Bickell is eligible for unrestricted free agency and could cash in after coming up with a big post-season despite playing the last series against Boston with a sprained right knee that raised questions about if he would be able to play at all against the Bruins. But the 27-year-old Bickell, drafted by Chicago in 2004, wants to remain with the Blackhawks and is open to giving the team a discount in order to stay. He says his agent has talked to general manager Stan Bowman about a new contract. Victor Oladipo Jersey . Jamies number grades given are out of five, with five being the best mark. It was Albertas seventh Canadian junior womens title, and first since Jocelyn Peterman of Red Deer won in 2012. Rocques rink will represent Canada at the world junior curling championships, which begin Feb. 26 in Flims, Switzerland. "Were really excited," said Rocque. "No kidding, its a dream come true, for sure. It honestly hasnt hit me, and it probably wont for a couple days. Its just so surreal right now." Alberta never trailed, opening the scoring with a deuce in the third end, holding B.C. to one in the fourth and then padding its lead with a fifth-end deuce. Van Osch struuck back with a double takeout to score a game-tying three in the sixth.dddddddddddd Alberta restored its lead with a deuce in the seventh. B.C. came back to tie it with two in the eighth, and it could have been three but Kalia Van Osch was heavy with her last draw. Alberta blanked the ninth end to carry hammer into the 10th. A double peel from second Taylor McDonald kept things wide open, but Rocque missed on her first delivery, a peel attempt that left a B.C. rock in the top 12-foot. Van Osch was perfect on her draw weight, but couldnt bury her inturn draw, giving Rocque a nearly wide-open inturn hit for the title. "So close," said Van Osch. "It was as close as we could make it and she made the last shot for the win, and thats all you ask for as a skip. But it was an amazing experience." cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys from china ' ' '

LONDON - Chelsea says Michael Essien has left the club to join AC Milan, ending the Ghana midfielders 8 1/2-year stint at Stamford Bridge. The Premier League team made the announcement on Monday without disclosing any financial or contract details. At one time one of the worlds top midfielders, the 31-year-old Essien has lost his first-team place in recent years and spent last season on loan at Real Madrid. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says "we would have been happy had he stayed because he is fantastic player for the team, but hes given everything for the club and a great chance arrived for his future." Masai Ujiri and the Raptors pulled the trigger on a seven-player deal that will send Gay to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for four players, Yahoo Sports first reported Sunday evening. In a deal that could save them as much as $14.5 million next season, the Raptors acquire guards Greivis Vasquez and John Salmons along with forwards Patrick Patterson and Chuck Hayes in exchange for Gay, Aaron Gray and Quincy Acy. Neither team can comment on the trade directly until after its made official on Monday. "Its never a good time to lose one of your starting players but its a situation we all have to roll with and go with," Raptors coach Dwane Casey said moments before facing Kobe Bryant and the Lakers with only 11 players in uniform. After coming to Toronto in a three-team trade from Memphis on Jan. 30, Gay fell out of favour this season, averaging 19.4 points and 7.4 rebounds while shooting just 39 per cent from the field. Gay can opt out and become a free agent at the end of the year but the Raptors believed he wouldnt walk away from the $19.3 million hes owed, the primary motive for Ujiri. Of the four players coming to Toronto, only Hayes contract is fully guaranteed past this season. Salmons is partially guaranteed for next season - the Raptors would only owe him $1 million if hes waived before June 30 - while Vasquez and Salmons would become free agents this summer if Toronto pulls their qualifying offers. The Raptors went 18-18 after acquiring Gay last season - the sixth best record in the Eastern Conference during that span - but the team, like Gay himself, have gotten off to a disappointing start in 2013-14. Only two players in the league (Vince Carter and Kemba Walker) are shooting worse than Gay (minimum 200 field goal attempts) while the Raptors have won just six of their first 18 games, dropping their last five. Looking to address redundancy at the wing positions - with Gay and the similar DeMar DeRozan accounting for the bulk of Torontos shots - Ujiri opted to hold onto the younger DeRozan, who is having a career season. "Its just part oof the game," said DeRozan after learning about the trade.dddddddddddd. "You think about it but you try to do the best that you can on the court so it doesnt get to the point to where you start questioning whether one or the other will be here." "Its crazy just to see a friend like that go, but once youve been through it a couple of times you kind of understand its part of the game and part of the business," DeRozan said, citing last years trade that brought Gay to Toronto and sent Ed Davis - one of his best friends - to Memphis. Gay was informed of the trade earlier in the day and did not travel with the team to Staples Center. Most of his teammates were informed of the deal after arriving at the arena, including Gray and Acy. Coming off a career year in New Orleans, where he averaged 13.9 points and 9.0 assists, Vasquez fills a need for the Raptors at the point guard position and also makes Kyle Lowry expendable in a subsequent trade. The 26-year-old Venezuelan excels in the pick-and-roll, a weak point for Caseys Raptors and could help aid the continued development of Jonas Valanciunas. Hayes and Patterson are both capable frontcourt players that can be used situationally off the bench in Toronto. Patterson, 24, is averaging 6.9 points and 5.8 rebounds in 17 games with the Kings this season. Selected with the 14th overall pick in 2010 by Houston, Patterson can stretch the floor while Hayes, 30, provides the toughness, rebounding and veteran leadership Casey has been looking for. Landry Fields started in Gays place against the Lakers Sunday. He and sophomore Terrence Ross figure to see an increase in playing time without Gay - who was playing over 35 minutes a night - in the lineup. "Were losing three great guys in my opinion," Fields said. "So its tough but at the end of the day its part of the business. You dont get used to it but you have to shake it off." Acy, 23, had played in 36 games with the Raptors over the past two season - averaging 3.8 points and 2.6 rebounds - after Toronto selected him with the 37th overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft. Gray, who turned 27 on Saturday has been used sparingly in two-plus years with the team. cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys from china ' ' '

MELBOURNE, Australia -- Geelong kicked the first goal 10 seconds into the match and withheld numerous Collingwood comeback attempts to beat the Magpies 18.11 (119) to 12.9 (81) in the Australian Football League championship Saturday. A sellout Australian Rules football crowd of 100,000 was expected for the grand final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Despite intermittent rain, the prediction wasnt far off -- 99,537 watched as the Cats prevented Collingwood from winning its second consecutive title and tie Carlton and Essendon for total league championship titles at 16. It was Geelongs ninth title overall and third in five years, having won previous league "flags" in 2007 and 2009. Collingwood led by three points at halftime but Geelong kicked five goals in the third quarter to lead by seven going into the fourth quarter, which it dominated to give Chris Scott a championship in his first season as coach. Scott, a two-time former premiership player with the Brisbane Lions, became the first coach to win a championship in a debut season since Alan Joyce achieved the feat with Hawthorn in 1988. The loss was a disappointing end to Mick Malthouses 28-year career as an AFL coach. He led Collingwood to three previous grand finals before winning the 2010 title with the Magpies. "In fairness to everyone at the football club, I think they need a fresh start," Malthouse said after the match. "I think those that are at the football club need a bit of space to go in the direction that they feel is going to take the club forward. I could be demanding and stay in the role and force it to be something ... but I just dont see any point." Geelong forward Steve Johnson kicked four goals while forward Tom Hawkins and midfielder Jimmy Bartel, who was a member of the 2007 and 2009 Geelong championship sides, had three each. "This one is pretty sweet after everyone wrote us off," Bartel said. "We knew if we kept grinding away, and kept playing the game at the contest, we backed ourselves to get over the top of them." Travis Cloke kicked three early goals for Collingwood to keep the Magpies in the match early. Charles Oakley Authentic Jersey . Louis, MO (SportsNetwork. Charles Oakley Knicks Jersey . MELBOURNE, Australia -- Rafael Nadal continued his dominant streak over Roger Federer to reach the Australian Open final for the third time, beating the 17-time major winner 7-6 (4), 6-3, 6-3 Friday night to set up a championship decider against No. 8-seeded Stan Wawrinka. With his 23rd win in 33 matches against Federer, the 27-year-old Spaniard set up an ideal chance to win a 14th Grand Slam title and to become the first man to win all four majors at least twice in the Open era. Nadal missed the 2013 Australian Open during a seven-month layoff for illness and a knee injury, but returned to win the French and U.S. Opens among his 10 titles for the season and finished the year at No. 1. He won the Australian Open in 2009, beating Federer in the final, and lost in a five-set, 5-hour, 53-minute 2012 final to Novak Djokovic after ousting Federer in the semis. In other years, hes struggled with injuries -- its the only Grand Slam tournament he hasnt won at least twice. "Its really, really emotional for me to be back on this court, Rod Laver Arena, and to be able to play another final," Nadal said. "I think tonight I played the best match of the tournament. I go on court (against Federer) knowing that is a really tough match and if I am not playing my best, I will not have the chance to win." At the end of the night, Federer knew he wouldnt even be the No. 1-ranked player in Switzerland next week. By reaching his first major final, Wawrinka ensured hed replace Federer as their countrys highest-ranked player for the first time. But the 32-year-old Federer is confident of winning more majors, expecting some coaching from Stefan Edberg and continued improvement in his fitness to help after a slump in 2013, when he didnt reach any of the major finals for the first time in 11 years. "I still think my best tennis is only ahead of me now," said Federer, who reached the Australian Open semifinals for 11 consecutive years. Nadal is now second on the list of players reaching Grand Slam finals, joining Ivan Lendl on 19 -- Federer leads the list with 24. Another Grand Slam title would lift Nadal to equal second on the all-time list with Pete Sampras, who was in the crowd for the match. Nadal has struggled with a blister on the palm of his left hand in his last two matches, but he removed the heavy tape that affected his serve in his quarterfinal win over Grigor Dimitrov and replaced it with one square of adhesive tape. A TV camera got a close-up view of the blister when he took a medical timeout after the first game of the second set, drawing gasps and groans from the crowd. "Too much talk about the blister. The blister is OK," Nadal said in his on-court interview. "The problem ... is the position of the blister, its difficult." But, he said, he didnt feel any pain. He certainly didnt show it if he did. He resisted just about everything Federer threw at him, scrambling to keep balls in play that usually would be winners. Federer served and volleyed, he played with good touch, he played drop shots, he tried everything -- even complaining to the chair umpire about Nadals loud grunting after the tiebreaker -- but his 50 resulting unforced errors doubled the number by his rival. Left-handed Nadal hit 13 of his 28 winners on his powerful forehand, attacking Federers one-handed backhand yet again. "I tried a few things ... then again, Rafa does a good job of neutralizing you," Federer said. "So I guess at times I couldnt quite do what I wanted to do, but thats because of Rafa." The first break of the match came in the sixth game of the second set, giving Nadal a 4-2 lead. That only heightened the crowd support for Federer, who got a standing ovation when he broke Nadal back to make it 2-all in the third set, immediately after dropping serve in the previous game. It noise and chants died down again when Federer was broken again soon after and Nadal finished off the match. Wawrinka beat Tomas Berdych on Thursday night, getting an extra day off ahead of Sundays championship match. Li Na will be hoping for third time lucky in the womens final on Saturday against Dominika Cibulkova. She has reached the finals in three of the past four years, but is yet to win the Australian title. OAKLAND, Calif. -- Sonny Gray spent the past few days with Oakland pitching coach Curt Young, making subtle adjustments to his delivery. Grey wont reveal exactly what he and Young worked on. Suffice to say, the Athletics young staff ace is pleased with the results. Brandon Moss hit a tiebreaking RBI double in the fifth inning, and Gray bounced back from two sub-par outings to lead Oakland over the Texas Rangers 4-2 Wednesday, giving the Athletics (44-2 the best record in the majors. "Overall it was a pretty good outing," said Gray, who had won just two of eight starts before going seven innings against Texas and striking out seven. "I dont think there really is a difference other than I was able to make pitches," he said. "Thats probably it. People sometimes forget that baseball is a pretty hard game and theres going to be some rough patches that youre going to go through." Grey (7-3) bounced back nicely from his recent rough stretch. The right-hander needed only 31 pitches to get through the first three innings, then struck out Brad Snyder on a high 95 mph fastball to end the fourth with runners at second and third. Grey also got help from left fielder Yoenis Cespedes, who made a leaping catch at the warning track to rob Adrian Beltre of extra bases two batters before Snyder struck out. His lone mistake came in the fifth when Texas loaded the bases with two outs. Gray walked two and gave up an infield single before Shin-Soo Choos two-run single made it 2-2. "Its just balance for him," As manager Bob Melvin said. "He knows his delivery (and) his mechanics pretty well, and Curts terrific at pointing out subtle things. There are a couple things hes been working on." Cespedes and Josh Donaldson each had two hits for the As. Oakland has won four of five and is a season-high 16 games over .500. Their record is one game better than cross-bay rival San Francisco. "Anytime in the season that you can say you have the best record in baseball, its satisfying," Melvin said. "But theres a lot of baseball yet to be played. At least for the time being it feels good." Luke Gregerson pitched the eighth, and Sean Doolittle worked the ninth for his ninth save. Nick Tepesch (2-3) went five innings for Texas. Choo drove in both runs for the Rangers. "We have to get more than five innings out of our starting pitching and we have to have a shutdown inning after we score runs," Texas manager Ron Washington said. "Somehow that (Oakland) lineup is always functioning. Somebody is always having a good day." Melvin shuffled his lineup and didnt start centre fielder Coco Crisp and second baseman Eric Sogard. Oaklands offence didnt miss a beat. John Jaso replaced Crisp in the leadoff spot and knocked in the As first run with a double in the third. Craig Gentry, who filled in at centre field, added two hits and scored a run. Second baseman Alberto Callaspo also had two hits. That was enough for Gray, who gave up two runs and six hits. He improved to 8-2 with a 1.90 ERA in 13 career starts against teams from within the As division. "He was keeping us off balance," said outfielder Alex Rios, who doubled off Gray in the fourth. "He managed his slider well. and his fastball had good velocity. He was locating it well." Cespedes scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the inning. He singled off Tepesch and scored on Moss double to right, barely beating the throw home with a headfirst slide. After Donaldson singled Moss to third, Stephen Vogt hit a short sacrifice fly to left to put Oakland up 4-2. Tepesch remained winless since May 26. He allowed nine hits over five innings with two walks and one strikeout. NOTES: Doolittle hasnt allowed a run in 22 1/3 innings, the longest active streak in the AL. ... Dwight Howard had 14 points and nine rebounds and became the Magics all-time leading scorer. He came in needing just eight points to break the record. Howard picked up his third foul early in the second quarter and sat for most of the first half. Anderson shot 8 for 14 from the field, including 5 for 7 on three-pointers, Danny Granger and Roy Hibbert scored 16 points each and Hibbert also had 12 rebounds for the Pacers (11-5), who returned home after winning two of three on a West Coast trip. Quentin Richardson added 15 points and Glen Davis had 13 for the Magic. Orlando broke away in an 8-0 run midway through the third quarter and a 7-0 run later in the period, and extended the lead to as much as 20 points in the fourth. Howard was two points away from breaking the scoring record before he picked up his second foul and went to the bench midway through the first quarter. It was a tough stretch for Howard who turned the ball over, missed a shot and then got called for a foul. The Pacers were in the middle of a 10-0 run as Granger made two 3s and Hibbert -- wearing a mast too protect a broken nose suffered Sunday against the Lakers -- had the other two baskets.dddddddddddd Howard didnt enter the game again until the start of the second quarter, but was pulled just 24 seconds into the period after he was called for his third foul. They did it late in the second quarter when the Magic went on a 10-0 run of their and took the lead on a three-pointer by Anderson. Darren Collison answered Andersons three with a jumper to tie the score at 41. Earl Clark scored on a dunk, then Indianas David West tied it again on a jumper. Clark scored again, then Hibbert tied the game on a putback. The Pacers didnt regain the lead, but tied it at 45 at halftime. The criteria we are looking for is a guy who played with Rush, was a rookie at the time, is an international big man and for the cherry on top, also went to college. Immediately eliminated were guys like Paul George, Lance Stephenson and Roy Hibbert, who all fulfilled some criteria, however not enough to be the most likely to be the smelly teammate. We were left with 3 finalists, Festus Ezeli, Rasho Nesterovic and Enes Kanter. So, which one of these 3 fulfilled every single one of our criteria we were looking for? FESTUS EZELI!! Festus Ezeli was a teammate of Brandon Rushs last season with the Golden State Warriors and he is a 7-foot big man. Festus was not only born and raised in Nigeria, which fulfills the overseas category, but heres the kicker, he was also a rookie out of Vanderbilt University! So, based on all the criteria we were looking for, Festus Ezeli was the only player who fulfilled every category, which makes him the MOST LIKELY to be Brandon Rushs former smelly teammate. Sorry Festus, but perhaps there was a good reason you were so wide open in some of these highlights from your rookie season... Nike Air Max 90 Mens Uk .ca. Hi Kerry, So Shawn Thornton gets a slap on the wrist for the water squirting incident - a childish, unsportsmanlike and potentially dangerous act, but players can get two minutes for spraying the goalie with snow when sometimes inadvertently just trying to stop quickly? In your opinion, should the NHL ever consider taking a more serious look at such actions and add them as an infraction in the rule book? Nike Free 4.0 Flyknit Trainers .C. -- Malcolm Brogdon scored 23 points and No.2014 marks the start of the Chris Jones era as head coach of the Edmonton Eskimos and many, myself included, think they may have found the right one. If you ask Jones what he looks for in a player, his response is "aggressiveness with intelligence that play with a ‘liitle edge.” That is a good definition of desire but could also be a description of Jones himself. Being aggressive is always a priority for a player; there are not many situations where being passive is beneficial on the football field. Pro football is not a nice game. In many ways and at the majority of positions youre imposing your will on another player, another athlete, and quite often the player with the strongest will and desire wins that battle. Sometimes you qualify it as mental toughness, but an aggressive mind set wins in this sport as long as it is disciplined and under control. Speaking of mind set, it may surprise you but intelligence is as important as any aspect of performance there is. The best linebacker in CFL football just may be J.C. Sherritt, the Eskimos middle linebacker. By no means is he physically imposing or dominant but when it comes to football smarts there are few that are his superiors. Interesting this year in that the injury adversity Sherritt faced last year gave an opportunity for another linebacker to shine in rookie Rennie Curran. This year both could be playing side by side in Edmonton, a strength for the Eskimos as both are athletic and very bright; they do not make the same mistake twice. The third quality of a Chris Jones player is one that plays with a little edge. Note those three words, "a little edge," are not easy to define or visualize. Is it a player who is exceptionally aggressive or intelligent? Or perhaps it is an attitude or enthusiasm. I think it is a guy who has no fearr, cant be intimidated and, either subtly or overtly, does the intimidating.dddddddddddd I dont know if you can describe it in words, but I do know coaches, especially veterans, recognize and want it. So the Chris Jones era begins and the Mike Reilly era, still in its infancy, continues. What was interesting to watch last year was how the Eskimos fans embraced Reilly as their quarterback. Not for the beautiful touchdown passes from the perfect spiral, or the ultimate three-minute drill to lead his team to poetic victory; they embraced Reilly because of the courage he played with in each and every game. Reilly was pummeled last year for many reasons, sometime poor pass protection, sometimes too many predictable passing situations. Add in a poor running game Reillys penchant for taking too many risks, hes gambling with his longevity. But what I observed is the Edmonton football faithful recognize his courageous performances and genuinely respected and responded positively to it. In a time when maximum revenue is a key priority for many, Reilly demonstrated an opposite mentality of thought; risking all for the cause in many situations. Now he has to temper it down however and he will or hell still be a football hero in Edmonton, just not for 18 games. The West is pretty good this year. Winnipeg will be better, Calgary and BC have good personnel that just need to stay healthy and focused, and Saskatchewan is the defending Grey Cup champion. So where does that leave Edmonton? They will be aggressive, they will be intelligent, and they will play with an edge. They will pressure the quarterback relentlessly and take risks one-on-one in coverage. And of course, their quarterback will continue to play with the definable quality of courage each and every game. Edmonton may just be pretty good this year. cheap nfl jerseys Cheap nhl Jerseys ' ' '

HOUSTON -- The Milwaukee Brewers finally gave some run support to Shaun Marcum. Not that he needed it. Marcum (12-5) allowed his only hit with one out in the sixth inning, and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Houston Astros 4-0 Sunday for a three-game series sweep. The Brewers supported Marcum with nine hits and a pair of early runs. Marcum has allowed four earned runs in his last five starts and has two victories to show for it. "Theres times you go out there and get a bunch and times you dont get any," Marcum said. "Thats baseball. Personally, I like pitching in tighter games. Theres been times in the past when Ive had run support and Ive lost focus. "When games are tight, I feel I pitch a lot better," he said. Marcum didnt allow a hit until Jordan Schafers single to centre field with one out in the sixth inning. After Schafers hit, Marcum retired the next five batters to complete his day. Houston ended up with three hits and Francisco Rodriguez and Takashi Saito completed the shutout for the Brewers. It was the Brewers 13th shutout of the season, their most since they had 14 in 1992. "Every year Ive been around, theres a pitcher who pitches great and you dont score a lot of runs for him," Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said. "You look at his record and it doesnt tell what kind of season hes had. Shaun has pitched great all year." Ryan Braun homered among his three hits and drove in two runs for Milwaukee. Marcum pitched seven stellar innings, allowing a single to centre field to Jordan Schafer and two other base runners. He struck out eight and walked one. Matt Downs reached on Yuniesky Batancourts throwing error to first base in the second inning. Schafer walked with two outs in the third for the only other baserunners off Marcum. Marcum struck out Jimmy Paredes to end the third and then retired the next seven batters in a row until Schafers hit. Wandy Rodriguez (10-10) pitched six innings, allowed three earned runs and struck out eight and walked three. "Wandy pitched well the whole game," Astros manager Brad Mills said. "The one thing that was disheartening was that all four of their runs came with two outs and nobody on. Weve talked about that before. We have to close out innings." Corey Hart extended his hitting streak to 16 games with a fifth-inning single. Milwaukee powered to a 2-0 lead over the first two innings. Braun hit his 26th homer over the left field fence in the first inning and Jonathon Lucroy hit his 11th homer in the second. Rodriguez struck out the first two batters in the fifth and then loaded the bases with singles to Marcum and Hart and he walked Jerry Hairston. Braun walked on four pitches for a 3-0 lead and Prince Fielder grounded out with the bases still loaded. Braun hit an RBI single off Enerio Del Rosario in the seventh. "Offensively, were doing some nice stuff," Roenicke said. "Were getting guys on base, stealing bases, being aggressive, going first to third." Milwaukee begins a three-game series with St. Louis on Monday. The Cardinals swept the Brewers last week. Getting a sweep in Houston, helped the Brewers for whats ahead. "We needed to come down here and obviously win the series but to get a sweep is nice," Marcum. "We control our destiny. We cant focus on what the Cardinals are doing. If we keep doing what weve done all year, itll be tough for them to catch us." NOTES: Carlos Gomez started for the first time since breaking his left collarbone July 20. ... PETERSBURG, Fla.MONTREAL -- Old rivals Montreal and Boston are going to a decisive seventh game once again. The Canadiens kept up a furious pace and produced their best effort of the playoffs as Max Pacioretty had a goal and an assist and Carey Price made 26 saves in a 4-0 victory over the Bruins that staved off elimination on Monday night. The NHL Eastern Conference second-round series is tied 3-3 going into Game 7 on Wednesday night in Boston, where the Bruins will no doubt be looking for the same boost from their fans that the singing, chanting and generally deafening 21,273 at the Bell Centre gave the Canadiens. "Its sudden death now," said Pacioretty. "Everything in the past will be forgotten once Game 7 rolls around. "They like playing in their building. We have to find a way to come out the same. Were a frustrating team when everyones skating like that and everyones on board. We have to find a way to do that again." Pacioretty, who had only one assist in the first five games, scored and set up Thomas Vaneks goal in the second period. Lars Eller scored in the first for Montreal and Vanek added his second of the game into an empty net with 3:56 left in regulation time. "I was just waiting for my time to pitch in offensively," said Pacioretty. "Obviously you wanted it to happen more often in the playoffs. But I feel confident. You want to feel youre helping the team win and I think I did that." It is the same scenario as the last time the teams met in the post-season in 2011, when the Canadiens won at home to force a Game 7. That year, they lost the decisive first-round game in overtime. It is the 34th time overall the teams have faced each other in the playoffs. The game turned in the second period after the Canadiens, leading 1-0, held off a ferocious Boston attack through a five minute 11 second stretch without a whistle. It included killing a minor penalty to P.K. Subban and was highlighted by a Price stop at the doorstep on Milan Lucic. Defencemen Mike Weaver and Josh Gorges shared a nearly three-minute shift in the midst of it. "Youre just buying time," said Weaver. "I think guys at that point, youve just got to be positionally sound. You cant be chasing all over the ice." Not long after, rookie Nathan Beaulieu threw a pass up the middle that Pacioretty chased down and went in alone to score. Boston coach Claude Julien felt that stretch was his teams best chance to make a game of it. "The second goal probably hurt us the most because we were spending a lot of time in their end and we had some great chances to tie the game, but that kind of turned the tide around," said Julien. "I didnt like the way they got their goals tonight. "But we had more lines going than weve had this whole series. We spent a lot of time in the offensive zone, but if you hit posts and miss open nets. . . Youve got to bury those chances. Tonight they came back to haunt us." Asked what he expects from game 7, Julien said: "I expect us to win." When Montreal coach Michel Therrien was asked the same question, he said: "Anything can happen in a Game 7. Thats the beauty of it." The TD Garden crowd in Boston is especially hostile to Subban, but the flashy Canadiens defenceman denied feeding off it even if he has had some big moments in that rink, including a late goal in a 4-2 loss in Game 5 on Saturday.dddddddddddd. "I dont give them that credit," he said. "I go and play the game. "I play to win, I dont care whos there. I dont care if theres nobody in the stands. Im going there to win. Its irrelevant to me. I hope that its a hostile environment. It makes it all better." Montreals big move was to bring 21-year-old Beaulieu in to replace the slow-footed Douglas Murray on the third defence pair. The teams 2011 first-round draft pick responded to his first-career NHL playoff start with an assist and a plus-2 performance in only 9:36 of ice time. "I never played at a pace like that before," he said. "It was incredible. It was good to get the first period under my belt and I felt I settled down after that." Montreal busted out of the gate after a rousing pre-game show and the teams played at a frantic pace through the first two periods. Despite having the best of the play in the opening 20 minutes, the Canadiens needed a freak play for the only goal. Kevan Miller lost the puck off his stick behind the Boston net and then inadvertently tripped goalie Tuukka Rask as he tried to smother it, leaving Eller free to score unassisted 2:11 into the game. Beaulieu flipped the puck up the centre of the ice and saw it go off Loui Eriksson to Pacioretty, who won a race with Zdeno Chara and beat Rask between the pads at 15:24. Pacioretty kept a puck alive with his feet amidst a crowd in front of Rask during a power play and saw the puck slide to Vanek for a shot into an open side at 17:39. The Bruins came close at 11:05 of the third when a Chara shot went off Price and dropped behind him, but with Jarome Iginla digging in the crease David Desharnais was on his knees to stop the puck with his stick just as it had almost crossed the goal-line. The no-goal call stood up to video review. There were some nasty moments near the end, including a clash that saw Montreals Andrei Markov jab his stick between Charas legs. Chara, Iginla and Weaver were assessed penalties when the skirmish ended. In Game 5, Bostons Shawn Thornton got fined for squirting water from the bench at Subban. Julien said it wasnt all his teams fault this time. "Were perceived as the bad guys and theyre the good guys," he said. "When Markov trips Chara and then puts his stick between his legs and nothings going to be called, eventually somebodys going to react. "Whether its right or wrong. Zdeno reacted and then everything else started. There was a slew foot before, Desharnais on (Brad) Marchand. A slew foot. Those are things we keep talking about that are dangerous in our game. "Its a rivalry and theres some things going on on both sides. Im not portraying ourselves as innocent here. Im just saying it takes two teams to tangle and thats what happened." Notes: Daniel Briere returned to the lineup for Travis Moen. . . Eller scored during Beaulieus first career NHL playoff shift, making him plus-1 only 2:11 into the game. . .
