Swansea, Wales (SportsNetwork. John Stones Jersey .com) - Chelsea moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League on Saturday with an emphatic 5-0 win over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium as Oscar and Diego Costa scored two goals apiece. The match was essentially over in the first 40 minutes as the Blues netted four of their five goals, with Andre Schurrle adding a fifth 10 minutes from time to hand Swansea their worst home defeat in 24 years. Swansea sold leading scorer Wilfried Bony to Manchester City in midweek, and the hosts looked out of sorts from the start, handing the Blues the opening goal inside the first minute of the game. Gylfi Sigurdsson gave the ball away in his own half of the field and Oscar made the most of the chance by picking up the ball and stroking it home from 20 yards past the diving Lukasz Fabianski in the Swansea net. Sigurdsson almost leveled the fixture a few minutes later, but he saw his effort hit the outside of the post, while Chelsea doubled the advantage in the 20th minute when Cesc Fabregas slipped a ball into the area for Costa, who scored on the turn. Federico Fernandez then handed Costa his 17th goal of the season with a poor pass that Costa cut out and slid past Fabianski to make it 3-0. Costa turned provider a few minutes later when he cut the ball back for Oscar to fire home, allowing Chelsea to take a commanding 4-0 lead into halftime. Willian struck the woodwork for a second time early in the second half after a nice setup from Costa, but Schurrle came off the bench to add a fifth goal in the 80th minute when he was on hand to tap in a cross from Branislav Ivanovic. Southampton held on to its place in third by winning 2-1 at Newcastle as Eljero Elia scored a goal in each half for the Saints, who remain two points clear of fourth-place Manchester United after the Red Devils claimed a 2-0 win at QPR with second-half goals from substitutes Marouane Fellaini and James Wilson. Tottenham climbed into fifth place after edging Sunderland, 2-1, behind a goal in the 88th minute from Christian Eriksen after the two sides traded goals in the opening 30 minutes of the contest. Liverpool claimed a 2-0 victory at Aston Villa thanks to a first-half goal from Fabio Borini and another from Rickie Lambert 11 minutes from time, moving the Reds into seventh place. Crystal Palace came from two goals down to notch a 3-2 win at Burnley that moves Alan Pardews men four points above the drop zone, while Stoke City slipped past last-place Leicester City, 1-0, with a second-half goal from Bojan Krkic. Tom Heaton Jersey . Cornet won six straight games to rally from a 2-0 deficit and take the first set. The 25th-ranked Frenchwoman broke back twice in the second set before Bacsinszky saved a match point at 5-4. The Swiss won on the fastest run-time tiebreaker after the four-racer teams tied 2-2. Jamies number grades given are out of five, with five being the best mark. Marc-Andre Fleury, Pittsburgh Penguins (3) – He had a solid first period again as he was composed and very confident in net. Carl Hagelins goal was a good shot above the glove which broke a 145 minute shutout streak for Fleury. He made the big save on Rick Nash during a two on one break look easy. The second goal was a bit of a softie as it squeaked through his glove shortside. Fleury was solid overalll, but it was a slow night, only facing 15 shots. Phil Jones Jersey. Henrik Lundqvist, New York Rangers (3) – There was slight interference on the first goal by Evgeni Malkin as he was late to get down and the puck went underneath his left pad. Lundqvist had a huge save on Beau Bennett on the backdoor with a great reaction off the post. He also had a big left pad save on Malkin and a nice redirection save on Sidney Crosby in the second. He was hung out to dry in the third and didnt get much help as he faced big chances by Chris Kunitz and Brandon Sutter. His body language looks frustrated. Kim DeJesus joked that he had been traded. It turns out she was right. The Nationals acquired DeJesus in a deal with the Cubs, bolstering their bench for a late run at a playoff spot. It made for a strange day for DeJesus, who merely need to move over to the visitors clubhouse at Wrigley Field to join to his new team. "Its one of those moments, youre like, Whoa, and time stops," DeJesus said before Washington opened a four-game series at Chicago. "I look over at my wife and shes crying because she grew up in Wheaton, Illinois, 45 minutes from Wrigley Field. Its a surreal moment, it was kind of throwing me off. "But coming over here, seeing the guys and meeting the guys, its been a help. Cant wait to get the game over with - hopefully after a win - and go home and decompress a little bit." DeJesus hit .250 with six homers and 27 RBIs in 84 games with the Cubs, who began the day in last in the NL Central. His new team is on the edge of the playoff race -- the Nationals were 9 1/2 games back of Cincinnati for the NLs second wild-card slot coming into the series -- but DeJesus was excited for the opportunity. "Im going to give it my all," he said. "Try and be a guy out there as a leader and a guy that young guys can learn from." The 33-year-old DeJesus is a career .279 hitter with 86 homers and 513 RBIs in 11 seasons with Kansas City, Oakland and Chicago. He can play all three outfield spots. "Hes a great addition," Nationals manager Davey Johnson said. "Hes a quality player. Anybody gets hurt, he can step right in and play at a high level." General manager Jed Hoyer said the money was a "strong consideration." "We really like David a lot," Hoyer said. "Ive told his agent and Theo told David directly, wed be willing to talk to him about bringing him back at some point. Hes a good mentor for our younger guys." The Cubs activated outfielder Brian Bogusevic from the 15-day disabled list to take DeJesus roster spot, and Hoyer said outfielder Ryan Sweeney likely will begin a rehab stint next week. Bogusevic had been out with a strained left hamstring, and Sweeney is recovering from a broken left rib. The Nationals released outfielder Roger Bernardina to make room on their roster. MIAMI -- Marcell Ozuna was in a slump when the game started. Davis Webb Youth Jersey . It was forgotten when the night was over. Ozuna doubled home Garrett Jones with the winning run in the 10th inning, and the Miami Marlins topped the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-4 on Thursday night. "This guy is a huge part of our team," Marlins manager Mike Redmond said of Ozuna, who snapped an 0-for-16 skid earlier in the game. "And hes had some big at-bats and hes gotten some big hits for us throughout the year." Ozunas line-drive to left-centre came off Bradin Hagens (0-1), who was making his major league debut. Hagens got a double play to escape the ninth, but Jones reached on a leadoff walk in the 10th and scored two batters later. "I still have to be ready," Hagens said. "It was nice to get in and have a chance to help the team get a win, just unfortunate that it didnt happen." Mike Dunn (10-5) pitched two perfect innings for Miami and became the first reliever to reach double-digits in wins since Matt Belisle for Colorado in 2011, according to STATS. "The team played great tonight, coming back," Dunn said. Mark Trumbo had a pair of RBI singles for Arizona. Diamondbacks starter Chase Anderson allowed nine hits and three runs in six innings, and David Peralta had an RBI triple to highlight a two-run third. Giancarlo Stanton had three hits for Miami, giving him four multi-hit games in his last 10 outings. Brad Penny, pitching at home for the Marlins for the first time in more than 10 years, allowed five hits and four runs in five-plus innings. Miami trailed 3-0 early, then chipped away. Penny and Donovan Solano had doubles in the home half of the third, and Stantons RBI single got Miami within 3-2. Arizona went up 4-2 in the sixth when Trumbo drew a leadoff walk and eventually scored, but then Hechavarria -- who had exactly one multi-RBI game in his last 108 appearances before Thursday -- brought the Marlins back. He had a RBI triple in the sixth to get the Marlins within one, then tied it at 4-4 with two out in the eighth with a single that brought home pinch-runner Jordany Valdespin easily from second. "Hes improved so much," Redmond said. Pennys most recent home start for the Marlins was July 28, 2004 -- which wasnt even in Miami, but rather about 15 miles north in Miami Gardens, Florida at Sun Life Stadium, the facility where the team played before its Little Havana ballpark was built. TRAINERS ROOM Diamondbacks: 2B Aaron Hill was out of the lineup for the second straight game, with manager Kirk Gibson saying he was "pretty beat up" but not citing any specific injury. LHP Eury De La Rosa and RHP Randall Delgado were not available Thursday in order to get some rest. Marlins: LHP Dan Jennings (concussion) is planning on throwing bullpen sessions the next couple of days and is expected to pitch for Single-A Jupiter when the Marlins begin their road trip on Aug. 22. "Im very pleased with how far hes come in the last few days," Redmond said. Also, INF Derek Dietrich (right wrist) is expected to begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Jupiter on Saturday. UP NEXT Diamondbacks: RHP Trevor Cahill (2-8, 4.86) has won one of his nine starts this season -- but that win was in his last outing, a 14-4 victory over Colorado on Aug. 9. Cahill is 1-1 in four appearances against the Marlins. Marlins: LHP Brad Hand (2-4, 4.65) makes his 11th start of the season. Hes 0-1 with a 2.38 ERA in two career starts against the Diamondbacks DIAMONDBACK TRIPLES Arizona came into the night tied with the Los Angeles Dodgers for the major-league lead with 33 triples, and hit two more on Thursday. PENNY WISE Penny gave up two leadoff walks, one of the four-pitch variety to Ender Inciarte to open the game, the other to Trumbo in the sixth. Both runners eventually scored. But he also hit his first double since Sept. 19, 2007 to help get the Marlins offence going. Wayne Gallman Womens Jersey . The Brazilian-born strikers brace drew him level with Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo as the leagues leading scorers with 17 goals apiece through 16 rounds. LAS VEGAS -- Uriah Hall limped away from UFC 175 with a win and a toe pointing in another direction. Samson Ebukam Rams Jersey . The 29-year-old middleweight from New York City broke his toe in the first round against Brazils Thiago Santos on Saturday night. And things got more gruesome after that. The crowd at the Mandalay Bay Events Center first noticed the injury when the cameras zoomed in on the disfigured toe after the first round. There was an audible groan around the arena when it was shown on the big screens. Hall came out for the second round, with the top of the toe next to his big toe sticking up almost vertically. "I remember throwing a front kick and he blocked it but I didnt realize I had broken my toe," Hall said later. "I was putting it in my head that it wasnt broken but I kept looking down and seeing it. I tried to pop it back in after the round ended before the (Nevada State Athletic) Commission inspectors came over and saw it but they were too quick for me. "In the moment you just feel numb and luckily that pushes you on in the fight. But in between rounds it creeps into your mind that you should stop so Im very thankful for my coaches who kept my head in the game and supported me the whole way through. . . . In that third round I just thought to myself this is my time to prove to everyone that I have what it takes. I left it all out there." The ringside physician spoke to Hall after the second round but let him finish. By the end of the fight, the dislodged bone had poked a hole through the skin. Hall (10-4) won by unanimous decision, admitting that he could feel the bone shifting in and out of his skin as the bout wore on. He limped out of the cage with his arm around a cornermans shoulder. His toe was pointed in a different direction. "It was a pretty nasty break," UFC president Dana White said by way of understatement. Hall was taken to hospital after the fight, tweeting pictures of medical staff at work put his toe back where it should be. He also tweeted an X-ray of the broken toe with the message: "If youre not going after your dreams, you just exist." He added the hashtag .toemuchtoohandle. Hall won rave reviews from White for his early performances on Season 17 of "The Ultimate Fighter." But he was beaten in the finale of the reality TV show and lost his first two fights in the UFC, leading White to question his mental toughness. "It was good to see him let his hand go tonight and fight through a broken toe," said White. "Hes back, I like it." The win was the second straight for Hall, following a first-round TKO of Chris (The Crippler) Leben. Josh Reynolds Jersey ." NEW YORK, N. ArDarius Stewart Womens Jersey .Y. - The New York Yankees have shuffled right-handed relievers, calling up Jim Miller from the minors and sending Jose Ramirez to Triple-A. The Yankees made the moves before Tuesday nights game against Tampa Bay. Ramirez took the loss Monday night, giving up the go-ahead run in the 12th inning to the Rays. The 32-year-old Miller pitched in one game for the Yankees last year. Hes also played for Baltimore, Colorado and Oakland. Miller was 4-2 with two saves and a 2.85 ERA at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Ramirez was 0-2 with a 5.40 ERA in eight games with the Yankees. The Yankees also transferred pitcher CC Sabathia to the 60-day DL. The lefty is set to make his second rehabilitation start Wednesday night for Double-A Trenton. Sabathia has been out since May 11 because of inflammation in his right knee. He started Saturday for Class A and pitched 2 1/3 innings. Marcus Maye Youth Jersey . And it showed Thursday night. Corey Brewer has done everything else in his short time back in Minnesota, so why not him? Brewer scored 27 points, Kevin Love had 33 points, eight rebounds and six assists, and the Timberwolves beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 124-95 on Wednesday night. "I checked to see if it (said) Kevin Martin on the back," Ricky Rubio said of Brewer. "He was wearing his jersey or something. He was making shots and he was being Corey too, running on the fast break. Hes been great for us." Rubio had a career-high 16 assists to go with 16 points, six rebounds and three steals, and the Timberwolves outscored Cleveland 29-6 in transition points to run the Cavaliers out of the building. Martin is the teams second-leading scorer, averaging 24.6 points and shooting 55.8 per cent on 3s. Normally a reluctant shooter who feasts on easy opportunities on the break, Brewer morphed into an aggressive scorer in the first half to ease any concerns about Martins absence. Brewer scored the first nine points for Minnesota and 12 in the first quarter to get the Wolves out quickly. He hit all five of his 3-pointers and helped lock down Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters on the other end. His energy carried over in a dominant first half. The Wolves outscored the Cavs 22-0 on the fast break and scored 16 points off seven turnovers to rack up 70 points in the first 24 minutes. "It was fun tonight," Brewer said. "We were passing the ball. Ricky had a great night. Kevin Love had a great night. The games easy when youre passing the ball." Irving scored 20 points on 8-for-17 shooting and survived a nasty collision in the first quarter for the Cavaliers. Anderson Varejao had 13 points and five rebounds starting for Andrew Bynum, who missed the game for personal reasons. The Cavs fell to 0-6 on the road this season. "Things that were not doing out there, things that need to be addressed within the locker room doors that are going to continuue to be addressed," Irving said. Jamal Adams Jersey. "We just have to do better next time." The Wolves led by as many as 39 points, allowing their starters to sit the entire fourth quarter and get some much-needed rest during a grueling start to the schedule. The Cavaliers were caught flat-footed. They were outrebounded 49-37, outscored in the paint 56-32 and surrendered 100 points before there were 10 minutes gone in the third quarter. One game after coach Mike Brown surprised everyone by inserting Bynum into the starting lineup, the Cavs were without their centre while he tended to a family matter. Bynum is expected to miss two games, and the Cavs said it had nothing to do with his bothersome knees or an eyebrow-raising comment he made recently about having considered retirement. Bynum is expected to return on Saturday against Washington. Irving came into the game shooting just 37.7 per cent while he gets adjusted to a new system in Browns first season. Brown said he wasnt worried about the early season slump, but the coach clearly was concerned when his star player hit the deck hard after taking an inadvertent elbow from Brewer with under five minutes to play in the first quarter. Irving appeared to be a little woozy as he walked to the locker room holding a towel to his jaw. He was taken for X-rays, which came back negative, and returned in the second quarter. In a rocky start to his first season back on the Cavs bench, Brown tried to offer some encouragement after the ugly performance. "Obviously after a performance like that, youre concerned," Brown said. "But I thought we fought. Were nine games in and were going to keep on going forward." NOTES: Cavs F Anthony Bennett, the No. 1 overall pick, scored six points on 3-for-11 shooting. The point total was a career high for the struggling rookie. ... Rubio also had three steals and has had at least one in 30 straight games, the longest active streak in the league. ... The Wolves scored 38 points in the first quarter. They are averaging 33.4 points in the first quarter this season. ... Wolves rookie Robbie Hummel got his first start and finished with 10 points. Former Newcastle striker Michael Chopra fears manager Rafa Benitez could leave for pastures new if the club are relegated from the Premier League. Babe Herman Jersey . Newcastle face the prospect of being relegated on Wednesday night if Sunderland beat Everton at the Stadium of Light, live on Sky Sports 1 HD.Chopra, who also had a two-year spell at Sunderland, ending in 2009, is worried Newcastle may struggle in the Championship with the players they have, especially if Benitez departs. Asked if he thought Benitez will leave if Newcastle are relegated, Chopra told Sky Sports News HQ: You would think that because other teams will be looking at him.People forget he was Real Madrid manager this time last year but Id like to see him stay if they get relegated because he is a great manager, and if he did stay I believe they would come straight back up. Chopra played 29 games for Newcastle including a Champions League tie against Barcelona in 2002 But if he goes I think they may struggle in the Championship because they dont have the type of players they had last time they went down in 2009. They dont have Kevin Nolan, the Joey Barton, or Andy Carroll; players that know about the Championship and players that are ready to fight for the football club. Chopra - Newcastle appointed Benitez too late There are too many foreign players where you wonder if theyll want to go to Cardiff on a Tuesday night or Brentford on a Wednesday night when its pouting down with rain. Those sorts of players wont want to do that so if they go down its not looking good for them. Chopra has questioned why fan-favourite Benitez was not brought in sooner Newcastle academy graduate Chopra, who went to the same school as Alan Shearer, is surprised the board did not act quicker to replace Steve McClaren when it became apparent a relegation battle was looming. They did it a few years ago when they appointed Alan Shearer as manager with eight games to go, and they knew they were in a position with probably 15 games to go that they were in a relegation fight, he added. Chopra turned out for the Sachin Tendulkar co-owned Kerala Blaster in the inaugural Indian Super League I dont know why the board and everyone left it so late to appoint Rafa and you look at what hes done, what hes done to the defence and the team and how hes got them playing. The fans love him and its a shame he hasnt had more time to do it because I believe coming into the last few games of the season they would have been firmly out of the relegation battle if he had been appointed earlier. Chopra - Newcastle appointed Benitez too late Chopra played with Jermain Defoe in Englands youth ranks and admits the Sunderland strikers form makes him a candidate to be named in Roy Hodgsons England squad on Thursday.Ive known Jermain since I was 15 years old, said Chopra who counts Cardiff, Ipswich and Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters among his former clubs. Chopra thinks Jermain Defoe must be in contention for Englands Euro 2016 squad I played with him from England U16s right through to the U21s and you knew then that if you give him a chance he will stick it in the back of the net.Newcastle dont have a 10 or 20-goal-a-season goalscorer whereas Sunderland do and that could be the difference between Sunderland staying up and Newcastle going down.I think Roy [Hodgson] has to look at him because he will be looking at players who are in form come the end of the season. Andros Townsend has been unbelievable for Newcastle says Chopra Another player Id like to see go is Andros Townsend. The last few weeks and months hes been unbelievable for Newcastle and if England want to go places theyve got to take in-form players. But Roy knows the game inside-out and he will have his own thinking. Defoe has been in and out of England squads his whole career and like I said before, give him a chance and hell stick it away. If England need him, hell do a job for them. Also See: Benitez rues missed chances Newcastle on brink after draw Allardyce: Defoe for England Borini aims to seal safety early Brett Anderson Jersey . The team let Keaton Ellerby, James Wright and Matt Halischuk become unrestricted free agents after declining to make them qualifying offers. Ellerby, 25, appeared in 51 games for the Jets last season and had two goals and four assists. Kirk Gibson Dodgers Jersey . Kevin Martin and Kevin Love paced the Timberwolves like they do so often. Martin had 27 points with some key baskets down the stretch, Love had his usual double-double, and the Timberwolves snapped a three-game losing streak with a 112-106 victory Saturday night over the suddenly slipping Dallas Mavericks. http://www.ladodgersprostore.us/Fernando-Valenzuela-dodgers-jersey/ . "This doesnt end anything," he said. "Weve got 10-1 in our last 11 games, and were going home in first place. We just have to keep playing the way we are right now. This week had a major upside to it. A phone call interview with Chael Sonnen. You can hear it as part of our podcast for TSN 1290s The Weigh In. Before the interview we talked about this project, encouraging fight fans to try aspects of the training. We talked briefly about his hilarious commercials for Nexersys (more on that later) and getting people fit. During the podcast interview we talked his picks for UFC Fight Night, and about his ability to always be ready for any fight any time. His answer was simple. It goes back to his wrestling days, and you never know whos going to be your opponent. You simply have to be ready and be your best. Chael isnt as big on strength training, and in fact sees it the same as some of the "old school" guys do. Its more to break up training than to add to it. Its a mental break, something new. It got me thinking about my week of training. I spend a lot of my time doing the work I have my pros do in the strength room. I also make time for kickboxing. Unfortunately, finding time to get to a jujitsu or wrestling class never matches my schedule, but I can always hit a heavy bag. Which led me to take a look around the internet, my hope was to find a few things MMA fans could try that could match their schedule if they wanted to try striking. The fitness you need for 20-30 minutes of striking is actually incredible. It truly is one of the top cardiovascular workouts. If you want your body to lose fat, cardio burns it off. Especially if that cardio is done in intervals, and high intensity training (HIT). I checked out a brand new franchise to the market, its called 9 Round Fitness. Basically a new class starts every 30 minutes. You are involved in a circuit of 9 x 3 minute rounds of activity. So if you are a fan of MMA or Kickboxing, but are not quite ready to enter a full fight gym, this is the perfect start. Trust me when I say, fight gyms can be intimidating. Go at the wrong time and you can see blood on the mats, and sweat flying everywhere. Its not the best starting point for a lot of people. Something with the basics of kickboxing, and people there simply to get a workout and try the sport they love is perfect. If you dont want to leave your home, you need to try a Nexersys. Its a stand-alone piece of workout equipment. It comes with software to ensure yyou are progressing, learning and increasing your fitness. Justin Turner Dodgers Jersey. The targets have accelerometers to insure your safety when striking. For a beginner in kickboxing its great, and it can advance you as you get better at your striking game. Again, anytime you can work in high intensity intervals into your training, its a great thing. I would love to see fight fans try something like this, just to get introduced to the sport they love. Building an understanding of what goes into training, builds more passion for the sport. It also builds sponsorship opportunities for athletes. Meaning, they get paid to train and the fans see more complete fighters. My week was capped off by a meeting with my trainer; its time to buckle down. Im looking to be able to hit 205 by the end of this 10 weeks. Currently my weight is sitting at 221 pounds. That means its time to tighten up on diet. This is the worst part of training. Its also why fighters hire trainers. Im using Jeff Fisher at Elite Performance in Winnipeg; hes helped athletes in all sports cut weight to be their best. Im using a trainer because I would not do what it takes if it was up to me. You need someone to reinforce the necessity of being strict on the diet. If a pro misses weight, it ruins his reputation and costs him a portion of his winnings. So to test how I can do with training and cutting calories my diet this week has a lot more focus. No sugar at all, increasing my good fats, using select supplements to ensure my vitamins and minerals are up even though my calories are being cut. I will eat 5 times in a day, 3 meals and two smaller snacks. Im also taking care to remove carbohydrates that have gluten, and extra dairy products. A lot of pro fighters are avoiding dairy as their fights approach. Dairy can in some people increase the production mucus, which affects breathing through the nose. Last week I started running with my SISU Mouth guard. Even though it has significant improvements in how well it fits, you still shouldnt be breathing with an open mouth. So dairy is reduced. Im on track, it feels good and I cant wait to hear from fans of the sport of MMA as they turn their health around, and develop some healthy habits thanks to their passion for MMA. Lots to learn and a lot of fun to be had while getting active. Macau, China (SportsNetwork. Pacquiao dominated from the outset and won by scores of 119-103 on two cards and 120-102 on the other. He improved to 57-5-2, winning his third straight bout since a knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez in December 2012. Algieri had won his first 20 fights and was the WBO junior welterweight champ, but he was no match for the native of the Philippines on Sunday. Pacquiao was credited with his first knockdown in the second round, then sent Algieri to the canvas twice in the sixth. A devastating left was the second of two more knockdowns in the ninth and he floored the New York native again near the conclusion of the 10th. The only thing Pacquiao didnt get was his first knockout since 2009. Dustin Pedroia Jersey . In the womens tournament, two-time defending champion Serena Williams withdrew with a leg injury, while Maria Sharapova ousted Li Na in the quarterfinals. The top-ranked Nadal had lost his previous two quarterfinal matches on clay for his worst run on the surface in a decade. But buoyed on by a partisan crowd, Nadal overpowered Berdych 6-4, 6-2 to advance at the Magic Box. "I brought great energy and intensity to it and thats the best news, that its my best (on clay) yet," Nadal said. "The things that, historically, Ive done well on this surface I managed to do them again today." Nadal has been improving with every match in Madrid after losing at the quarterfinals stage in preceding tournaments in Monte Carlo and Barcelona. But he showed no sign of the nerves that had uncharacteristically crept into the game of the most successful clay-court player ever as he pushed Berdych to the corners and punished him with a powerful forehand that accounted for 16 of his winners. "My play is good when Im hitting my forehand well, especially on clay," said Nadal, who is vying for his third title in the Spanish capital. "In Monte Carlo I used my backhand more and not my forehand, and when I have to hit five or six backhands in a row it doesnt help my game." Berdych, who dropped to 3-18 against Nadal, couldnt keep up in the hot sun beating down on Manolo Santana centre court. Nadal faces countryman Roberto Bautista Agut after the 45th-ranked player beat Colombias Santiago Giraldo 6-3, 6-4. David Ferrer followed Bautista Aguts victory with a 7-6 (3), 6-3 win over Ernests Gulbis to become the third Spaniard in the semis. Kei Nishikori prevented an all-Spanish lineup in the final four by beating Feliciano Lopez 6-4, 6-4 inn the late match. Brock Holt Jersey. The win also ensures that he will become the first Japanese player to break into the top 10 when the new world rankings are released on Monday. Nishikori remained undefeated on clay this season in nine matches after winning the Barcelona Open title. The top-ranked Williams has had her left thigh heavily bandaged this week and said she injured it during a first-round victory over Belinda Bencic on Sunday. "It started to get better but, most importantly right now, I just need some time to rest and recover. Its beyond words. Its so frustrating," Williams said in a statement. "This is not the way I wanted this week to end." The withdrawal gave 2011 champion Petra Kvitova a walkover and a spot in the semifinals. The 32-year-old Williams said the injury would not keep her out of the French Open, with the defending champion tweeting she would play in Rome next week before the second Grand Slam of the season starts on May 25. Sharapova reached the semis after she rallied to beat Li 2-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3. Li was in control until she failed to convert two break points in the 11th game of the second set. Errors then began creeping into the Australian Open champions game as Sharapova evened the match. After an exchange of breaks in the third set, the ninth-ranked Russian broke again and then held serve to win on Lis 43rd unforced error. "It really could have gone her way today. You know, it was just a matter of a few points in the second set," said Sharapova, who came through despite seven doublefaults. "I was down, I didnt play a great first set, and I found a way to get myself in a position to be in the third." Sharapova faces third-ranked Agnieszka Radwanska in the semifinals after the Polish player beat French qualifier Caroline Garcia 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. TORONTO -- Dion Phaneuf admits he made a mistake. D Onta Foreman Youth Jersey . The Toronto captain said Thursday he erred in not talking to reporters following the Maple Leafs 5-3 home loss Tuesday night to the St. Louis Blues. Phaneuf was widely criticized for blowing off the media following the clubs sixth straight loss that dropped it to 10th in the Eastern Conference standings. "I shouldve been available, thats about all Im going to say about it," the veteran defenceman said following Thursdays practice. "I cant remember the last time I didnt make myself available but I shouldve been available." On Wednesday, a day off for the Leafs, Phaneuf told a Toronto all-sports radio station he didnt talk because he was too emotional following the loss. "I just didnt play well enough," he said. "Bottom line, I wasnt even close to the level I have to play at. "I accept responsibility for that. I will be better." Phaneuf and his teammates dont have time to fret about their respective situations. Toronto visits the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday night in one of just eight regular-season games remaining for the Leafs. The contest is important for both teams. Philadelphia (38-37-7, 83 points) is sixth in the Eastern Conference heading into action Thursday night. Toronto (36-30-8, 80 points) is tied in points with Columbus, Detroit and Washington, but all three clubs having games in hand on the Leafs. With each mounting loss, the Leafs find themselves increasingly under the media microscope in Toronto. There was no shortage of TV cameras and media at Thursdays practice. "If you look back two weeks ago we werent having to answer these questions, but the reality is were where were at right now," Phaneuf said. "We havent won in six games and when you dont win hockey games there are questions asked and theres every right to ask those questions because its our job to win games. "Im not going to stand here and say weve played well, we havent. I know right now it seems were at a low point but well come through it." And for head coach Randy Carlyle, the turnaround wont come about by continually harping on how tight the Leafs have played during the streak. "The more you talk about it, the more you focus on the tightness the harder it is to flush," he said. "We have to be prepared to look at the positives that are in the hockey game, the things weve done well and not focus on the negatives. "Pressure comes from within, comes from outside, it comes from everywhere. I think the amount of pressure you put on yourself to perform is really and truly who you have to answer to." But Carlyle didnt sugar-coat Torontos current situation, either. "We feel theres a lot of areas in which there are some positives but you cant look past weve lost six in a row," he said. "Bottom line, theres no other way to say it. "We cant feel good about ourselves but we have to prepare ourselves to play the best game of the year (Friday)." Toronto could have defenceman Paul Ranger back Friday. Ranger left a 5-3 home loss to Tampa Bay on March 19 on a stretcher with a neck brace after being hit by Lightning forward Alex Killorn. "I feel pretty good but Ive got to talk to the trainers and doctors and see if they can clear me to play," Ranger said. "I think its just a combined decision (Friday). "If I can help in any way Im going to and I plan on it. I had some encouraging words from teammates and trainers saying, We could use you back. It felt pretty good. Im excited to get back into a game and contribute as much as I can." Carlyle would consider playing Ranger in Philadelphia if the defenceman was cleared medically. "He looked good (Thursday)," Carlyle said. "As soon as the player tells us, then we have an option." Toronto has been plagued by poor starts over its losing streak, something Carlyle says gives the opposition an advantage. "It seems like were chasing the game and when you chase the game you have to open up and that gives the team youre playing against more opportunities," he said. "Its tough enough when youre on an even keel . . . especially at this time of year. "The bottom line is we have to find a way to start better and continue it." Forward Phil Kessel agreed. "It helps to get the first goal," he said. "Youre up one instead of being down one or down two. "Its tough to come back in this league." Given the intense media glare in Toronto, forward Nazem Kadri said its hard for the Leafs not to feel pressure to win. "When you drop six straight its definitely hard to focus on other things," he said. "Weve had some meetings and understand this is desperation time. "We have to play for our lives so we have to go start acting like it." Defenceman Cody Franson said the Leafs psyche remains solid. "I think were in a good spot," he said. "Obviously weve been through a tough stretch here but . . . were very aware of our situation and we all want to do the right things to get this back on the right foot. "Were aware of what we have to do. We dont feel sorry for ourselves, weve played well in a lot of games and done a lot of good things and were going to build on that." Toronto returns to the Air Canada Centre on Saturday versus Detroit, the first of four straight home games. After facing Calgary (Tuesday), Boston (Thursday) and Winnipeg (April 5), the Leafs will end the regular season with road games against Tampa, Florida and Ottawa. "Its not like were out of a playoff position," defenceman Jake Gardiner said. "Were in a decent spot, we can still compete for those last two spots and just see what happens. "Yeah, theres always that pressure . . . but we know we have a good team in here and we know we can do it. Its just a matter of playing the way we know we can." D Onta Foreman Texans Jersey . Colorado came up big against Chicago last spring, and repeated that performance Tuesday night. Varlamov stopped 36 shots and Paul Stastny had a goal and an assist for the Avalanche in a 5-1 victory over the Blackhawks. D Onta Foreman Jersey . They have homered once every 27.3 at bats, which just happens to be the third best mark in the American League, albeit just 10 games into the season. As the noise surrounding Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey’s UFC dominance dims, affording them an opportunity to lick their wounds, two quieter presences have the chance to step into the front line. If McGregor and Rousey are the UFCs star pupils, then Demetrious Johnson is the straight-A student and Jon Jones is the class rebel. Both Johnson and Jones have sat on top of the pound-for-pound rankings before and during the mania surrounding McGregor and Rousey and own the longest active winning streaks in the sport.Jones, whose only loss is a disputed disqualification, has won 12 on the spin (four behind the all-time record held by Anderson Silva) while Johnson has racked up nine in a row. They are a little-and-large combination with personalities that are worlds apart but skill-sets inside the cage that are only rivalled by each other. Jones endured his toughest night in 2013 against Alexander Gustafsson The lanky and languid Jones, nicknamed Bones on account of the height and reach that he maximises so ferociously, has rarely even tasted competitiveness in his remarkable career to date. Perhaps boasting the most stellar CV in the history of MMA, only a bizarrely illegal elbow strike in his 10th fight against Matt Hamill prevents him being unbeaten.Aged 23, Jones became the youngest UFC champion ever and his destruction of Mauricio Shogun Rua ushered in a new era of athleticism and craft in a light-heavyweight division previously crammed with brawlers. Since 2010, he has dispensed with Rampage Jackson, Lyoto Machida and Vitor Belfort who previously ruled at 205lbs before sweeping past rivals of his own generation. Demetrious Johnson (right) has twice beaten top flyweight rival John Dodson Johnson, meanwhile, was a middling bantamweight in those days. Over a foot shorter and 80lbs lighter than Jones, his Mighty Mouse moniker rang truer at the inauguration of the flyweight division four years ago. Competing at 125lbs (the smallest category), Johnson became the first champion and has outlasted each of the other nine UFC title-holders.Its a pleasure to watch Johnson, flyweight rival Neil Seery told Sky Sports. Hes just so, so good at his job. Hes the pound-for-pound best, I see him as that. Its my pleasure just to be mentioned alongside him. I believe Demetrious is better than Jones because of his movements and his transitions between striking and wrestling - hes the best fighter in the UFC Neil Seery Demetrious has people thinking he can strike - he throws combinations from crazy angles - but hes a phenomenal wrestler. Hes very good in the scrambles and his gas tank is second-to-none. Nobody knows what hes going to do next, and I think thats what sets him apart.I believe Demetrious is better than Jones because of his movements and his transitions between striking and wrestling - hes the best fighter in the UFC. People at two weight classes are trying to fight him because hes so good. Jones most recently defended his world title against Daniel Cormier Yet Johnson is No 2 in the official pound-for-pound listings behind Jones, despite his four-reign title reign making him the only current champion to reign for longer than 15 months. Zach Cunningham Texans Jersey. . Jones continues at the top of the tree despite the self-destructive episodes that resulted in his light-heavyweight championship being stripped from him last year.Jones flashes of instability outside the cage appear to be his only obvious adversity, considering he already owns victories over six of his divisions top 10. At 28, he hasnt fought since January 2015 due to suspension and has missed a year of his athletic prime while he reconstructs his day-to-day life. Those who share his gym in Albuquerque, New Mexico, insist a newly-focused and calmer Jones is readying a return that should terrify current champion Daniel Cormier. I think Jones can return even better, I know so. Hes been very focused and dedicated - Ive seen him in the gym non-stop. Alistair Overeem Listen, he did some stupid stuff and it was a wake-up call for him - he took lessons from that and became a better person, Andrei Arlovski told Sky Sports. He is 100 percent a different person now. Im telling you, Ill bet my money he wins and becomes the new light-heavyweight champion.Alistair Overeem added: I think he can return even better, I know so. Hes been very focused and dedicated - Ive seen him in the gym non-stop. Hes determined to make a strong comeback. Both Arlovski and Overeem stress Jones remained a great training partner while he battled personal demons. Johnson will next defend his belt against Henry Cejudo Jones was set to challenge his greatest rival Cormier at UFC 197 for the belt that he only lost in a fight with the law, in a rematch after Bones handily won the first time. Cormiers injury means No 6 contender Ovince Saint Preaux will fight Jones on three weeks notice. Sharing the card, appropriately, is Johnson - the man so tiny he can go unnoticed until the first bell rings and he moves faster than a blink of the eye - who makes his eighth title defence against Olympic gold medal winner Henry Cejudo.Jones and Johnson have separate business to attend to, and their paths are unlikely to cross all evening at UFC 197. But each will know that, despite the colossal size differential between them, they are locked in a fight with each other to become the sports undisputed pound-for-pound No 1. Home cooking is what sets the top two teams in the NFC apart. Jon Singleton Astros Jersey . Watch it live on TSN with coverage starting with Monday Night Countdown at 6:30pm et/3:30pm pt. The game is also available on TSN Radio 1050 in Toronto at 8pm et. Seattle and New Orleans are a combined 11-0 on their respective home fields but if the Saints plan on capturing home-field advantage on the way to Super Bowl XLVIII, they are probably going to have to find a way to top the Seahawks in the Emerald City on "Monday Night Football." And if their able to do that, the Saints will be the first team to solve footballs most difficult puzzle since second-year star quarterback Russell Wilson took over the Seahawks in the 2012 season. Seattle, which can become the first NFL team to clinch a playoff berth with a win tonight, is an imposing 13-0 (5-0 in 2013) in front of the 12th man under Wilson, who has thrown 26 touchdowns and compiled a 117.0 passer rating in the Pacific Northwest. In the Seahawks last game before their bye week, Wilson posted a career-high 151.4 passer rating in a 41-20 Week 11 rout of the Minnesota Vikings. Marshawn Lynch rushed for two touchdowns and hauled in another score in that one, while Wilson went 13-of-18 passing for 230 yards and two touchdowns. Lynch finished with 54 rushing yards on 17 carries and added two grabs for nine yards for the Seahawks, who are 10-1 for the first time in franchise history. "We havent done anything yet. 10-1 is great but our goal is to win the whole thing," Wilson said of Seattles stellar start to the season. The Saints are one game behind the Seahawks for the NFC lead but just one-half game ahead of the surging Carolina for the top spot in the NFC South after the Panthers disposed of Tampa Bay on Sunday. New Orleans, which can clinch a playoff berth if they beat the Seahawks tonight and then top Carolina next week, is coming off a hard-fought 17-13 victory over Atlanta in Week 12. Drew Brees completed 23-of-33 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns in that one. The MVP candidate also eclipsed Warren Moon (49,325) for fifth place on the NFLs all-time passing list in the process. Brees finished the game with 49,564 career yards. Star tight end Jimmy Graham grabbed five passes for 100 yards and a touchdown for the Saints, who have won three straight. "I thought that it was a real good, hard-fought win," NOLO head coach Sean Payton said. "I thought both teams played hard. We knew it was going to be a challenge. It is every time we play them." The Saints lead their all-time series with Seattle by a slim 6-5 margin. Brees threw for 382 yards and four TDs the last time these two teams met in the regular season, a 34-19 New Orleans win on Nov. 21, 2010 at the Superdome. WHAT TO WATCH FOR While playing the Seahawks on the road is never a desirous situation, New Orleans is arriving at an opportune time. Brees, who is tops in the NFC with 3,647 passing yards and 28 touchdowns, and third with a 107.3 passer rating (with Wilson a tad behind at 105.1), will be facing a secondary that is missing two significant pieces. Seattle returned from the bye and got hit with the news that cornerback Walter Thurmond was suspended by the NFL for the next four games for violating the leagues substance abuse policy. The guy he replaced in the starting lineup, the injured Brandon Browner, is also facing a possible year-long suspension for violating the same policy. "Were still trying to work through it," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said. "Ive always found myself looking for guys that maybe other people dont see something special in and we take a chance on a guy here or there that needs some extra consideration and care. Sometimes guys, they have issues and things pop up." Whatever the excuse, Seattle will be missing two impact performers from what is generally regarded as the best secondary in all of football, and one which has amassed an NFL-high 16 interceptions. All-Pro corner Richard Sherman, who leads the NFL with 16 interceptions since entering the league in 2011, and top-tier safety Earl Thomas, who is the only defender in football this season with 70-plus tackles (75), four-or-more INTs (4) and two-or-more forced fumbles, are still around so its not like the Seahawks are walking the plank against Brees but the lack of depth could hurt, especially when trying to cover match-up nightmares like Graham and Darren Sproles. The lengthy Graham has 65 receptions for 946 yards and 11 TDs on the season and six 100-yard games, the most ever for a tight end, while Sproles leads all NFL running backs with 209 catches, 1,840 receiving yards and 16 receiving TDs since 2011. "They are very good at playing bump and run outside," Payton said when discussing the Seattle secondary. "They have a lot of talented players, not only in the back end. They have a young linebacker core that runs extremely well and a front that is very physical and very active. Couple that with a crowd noise and an environment that is uniquely different, you have a formula that is successful." Brees, though, generally isnt nearly as effective on the road. Only nine of his 28 TD passes have come in the teams five games away from the Bayou and his three worst passing yardage efforts have also come while away from Bourbon Street. Payton was a bit testy while trying to downplay any troubles as the visitor. "I think its a typical stereotype with a dome team," the New Orleans coach said. "I dont know what else to tell someone than to do some research and bring back some numbers and Ill answer a question." The problem for Payton, however, is there is plenty of research and tons of numbers magnifying his teams troubles away from the Superdome. For instance New Orleans has never won a road playoff game in franchise history (0-5) and is 0-for-3 in such instances under Payton, games in which Brees recorded the three worst passer ratings of his postseason career. One of those road playoff losses came the last time the Saints visited CenturyLink Field, a 41-36 setback to a 7-9 Seahawks club in 2010, a game made famous by Lynchs 67-yard aptly titled "Beast Quake" TD run. Lynch, who has rushed for 925 yards and nine TDs so far this season, figures to be a load for New Orleans again. Hes currently on the verge of his fifth 1,000-yard season and is facing a Saints D which allows 4.8 yards per rush, 28th in the NFL. Wilson, who is undersized like Brees, was a big fan of the Saints signal caller while coming up and mimics a lot of his traits, albeit with far more mobility. "I know everyone compares our heights and everything, but the thing that I admire about him is his leadership, his attention to detail," Wilson said. "He is very clutch." Wilson has also been very clutch and his uncanny ability to extend plays and make something positive when things break down will be tested by an aggressive NOLA pass rush led by Cameron Jordan, the son of ex-Vikings Pro Bowl tight end Steve Jordan. Cameron has 9 1/2 sacks to pace a unit which has 37 overall. "I think he is a guy that knows how to win," Payton said when asked about Wilson. "I think he is a very good leader. You can see that on tape. Russell is a very competitive, driven player who has number one, a very gifted skill set." OVERALL ANALYSIS Something has to give here. Brees has won his past nine "Monday Night Football" starts, completing 224- of-312 (71.8 percent) for 2,880 yards (320 per game) with 28 TDs versus just five INTs in those contests. Wilson, meanwhile, is 13-0 at home and 2-0 on MNF. Until the Seahawks actually lose at home, you have to give them the benefit of the doubt. "Every game that we play is a championship game," Carroll said. "You never know which one is going to be the one that you look back on and say, Boy, if wed have got that one, we wouldve had this or that. So we play every one of them like its the biggest game in the world." Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Seahawks 27, Saints 26 Doug Fister Astros Jersey . During halftime, Love told The Associated Press he would receive treatment Saturday night and hoped to play Monday night against Houston. "I knew that my quad was bothering me pretty bad so I went out there and tried to move around a little bit and it just wasnt quite right," Love said. Carlos Beltran Jersey . Although head coach Randy Carlyle jokingly wondered how much actual training Bolland got done while in London. "I dont know how much training goes on when you go back to the junior team that you played for so I wouldnt read too much into that," laughed Carlyle after the Maple Leafs were put through an up-tempo practice that concluded with a 10-minute bag skate on Thursday. http://www.houstonastrosshop.com/Josh-Reddick-Jersey/ . Speaking on Leafs Lunch with Bryan Hayes and Jamie McLennan on Thursday, Bernier said it was "very hard" at times being entrenched behind Jonathan Quick and is now excited at the prospect of getting an opportunity to compete with Reimer for the top spot with the Leafs.NEW YORK -- Alex Rodriguezs lawsuit claiming Major League Baseball and Commissioner Bud Selig went on a "witch hunt" to force him from the sport has been moved from state to federal court. Major League Baseball filed a notice of removal Monday, saying claims by the New York Yankees third baseman are governed by federal law. The lawsuit, originally filed Thursday in New York Supreme Court in Manhattan, was assigned to U.S. District Judge Lorna G. Schofield, who joined the bench in December, and U.S. Magistrate Judge Kevin N. Fox. Rodriguezs legal team could file a motion asking that the case be returned to state court. One of his lawyers, Joseph Tacopina, said in a statement that the league "knows that these state law claims properly belong where they were filed, in the New York state court." The legal action comes during a grievance by the Major League Baseball Players Association to overturn a 211-game suspension given to Rodriguez by MLB on Aug. 5 for alleged violations of baseballs drug agreement and labour contract. A hearing began last week before arbitrator Fredric Horowitz. After a week of sessions, three additional days are scheduledd starting Oct. J.R. Richard Astros Jersey. . 15, and more days may be needed. A decision is unlikely before winter. In his lawsuit, Rodriguez claimed MLB and Selig tried to smear the three-time AL MVP and cost him tens of millions of dollars in an attempt to cover up Seligs alleged past inaction on performance-enhancing drugs. The lawsuit claimed Selig hoped to redeem himself by going after Rodriguez. MLB responded by calling Rodriguezs actions "desperate" and a violation of the confidentiality provisions of the league and unions Joint Drug Agreement. On Friday, Rodriguez sued the Yankees team physician and a New York hospital in New York Supreme Court in the Bronx, claiming they mishandled his medical care during the 2012 American League playoffs by letting him play after failing to inform him that a test revealed an injury to his left hip joint. The lawsuit said Rodriguez then further injured himself, forcing him to suffer hospitalization, disability and emotional distress. During the 2012 post-season, Rodriguez hit .120 (3 for 25) with no RBIs before undergoing left hip surgery in January that prevented him from rejoining the Yankees until August. The Dallas Cowboys are releasing Kyle Orton after their backup quarterback missed all the off-season workouts amid reports he was considering retirement. Alcides Escobar Royals Jersey . A person with knowledge of the decision told The Associated Press on Tuesday that the Cowboys were cutting ties with Orton slightly more than a week before the start of training camp. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the team had not announced the decision. The 31-year-old Orton started the finale last year after Tony Romo injured his back a week earlier. The Cowboys lost to Philadelphia, their third straight season-ending defeat against an NFC East rival with a playoff berth on the line. The new backup is likely to be Brandon Weeden, Clevelands first-round draft pick in 2012. The Cowboys signed Weeden in March, and he worked with the first team during the off-season while Romo continued his recovery from back surgery. Orton was fined about $70,000 for failing to report during the off-season and missing the mandatory minicamp in June. The move saves Dallas about $3.25 million this season, but will cost the team about that amount on the salary cap over the next two seasons. After getting into just one game in his first season with the Cowboys in 2012, Orton played briefly in two games last year before starting against the Eagles. He was 30 of 46 for 358 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions against Philadelphia, including one late that clinched the Eagles 24-22 win. Orton has started 70 of 75 games in a nine-year career. He spent his first three seasons in Chicago before going to Denver, where he lost the starting job to Tim Tebow and signed with Kansas City after the Broncos cut him during the season. Weeden started right away after the Browns took him with the 22nd pick, but was benched for good late in his second season with a career record of 5-15, including losses in all five starts in 2013. Weeden turns 31 in October but is going into just his third season because he spent five years playing professional baseball out of high school. Paulo Orlando Royals Jersey . Wayne Simmonds and Steve Mason came up big with the Flyers season on the line and forced a Game Seven. Iker Casillas Real Madrid Jersey . Scott Cullen has notes on Simmonds, Mason, Lundqvist, Giroux, Hagelin and more. LETS GO SEVEN Wayne Simmonds scored a hat trick and Steve Mason stopped 34 of 36 New York Rangers shots as the Philadelphia Flyers won 5-2 in Game Six, forcing a Game Seven to decide the series Wednesday night. Simmonds, who scored a career-high 29 goals and 60 points during the regular season, erupted for three goals, all from within a few feet of the net. Officially, Simmonds three goals traveled a total of 20 feet, but thats not unusual -- among players with at least 20 goals, Simmonds average shooting distance of 26.0 feet during the regular season ranked 15th, so he makes his bones as a presence in front of the net. In addition, or at least underlying his three-goal performance, Simmonds generated 11 shot attempts in only 12:50 of ice time. While Simmonds was cleaning up the scraps around the Rangers net, Mason was taking care of business in the Philadelphia net, making quite a few high-quality saves to preserve the Flyers lead, even though the Rangers carried a lot of the play (and before score effects kicked in). Mason has stopped 92 of 98 shots that hes faced (.939 SV%) since joining the series in Game Three. Thats better than usual from Mason, who has a career save percentage of .907 and a .920 mark in 68 games with the Flyers, but Philadelphia needs him to continue at that level for one more game to get through this series. Flyers D Erik Gustafsson, replacing Hal Gill (who was replacing Nicklas Grossman) in the lineup, scored a goal on a breakaway coming out of the penalty box and had solid relative possession numbers. For the Blueshirts, Henrik Lundqvist comes with the much higher pedigree, but after allowing four goals on 23 shots in Game Six (before getting pulled in favour of Cam Talbot), his save percentage in the series has dipped to .892 (132 saves on 148 shots). Lundqvist has a .920 career save percentage in both the regular season and playoffs, over a span of 647 games. That track record ranks him among the elite puckstoppers in the league, but its imperative for the Rangers that Lundqvist bounce back in Game Seven. Its not just Lundqvist that needs to be better, though. The Rangers power play is in a 0-for-20 streak since Benoit Pouliots goal in the first period of Game Two. While RW Rick Nash has yet to score a goal in the series, hes put 25 shots on goal and has the best possession numbers for the Rangers in the series. Flyers C Claude Giroux contributed a goal and two assists to the cause, his goal coming into an empty net with 4:11 remaining in the third period, giving him six points through six games. Rangers LW Carl Hagelin scored a goal, but created many chances in Game Six, registering nine shot attempts in 14:50 of ice time and rookie J.T. Miller had an assist for the second straight game since being inserted into the lineup. No team has won back-to-back games in this series, so perhaps that favours the Rangers going into Game Seven, though owning the possession battle would be more relevant. Jones, from Winnipeg, built a 3-0 advantage after three ends by scoring two in the second and one in the third. Chinas skip Bingyu Wang cut that lead to 3-1 in the fourth before Canada added another three in the fifth for a 6-1 lead.IRVING, Texas -- Canadian Mike Weir waited five years to close out a tournament near the top of the leaderboard. The Brights Grove, Ont., native shot a 3-under 67 in the fourth round of the Byron Nelson Championship Sunday to finish in second place, two strokes back of American Brendon Todd. It was Weirs best tournament since he finished second behind Dustin Johnson at Pebble Beach in 2009. The 44-year-old Canadian left-hander hadnt had a top-25 finish since 2010, the same year he suffered a partial ligament tear in his right elbow before a stretch when he missed 17 cuts in a row -- including all 14 tournaments he started in 2012. "Best golf I played in a long time. I was happy with the way I played," Weir said. "I was definitely determined to try to win today, but I can feel good about the way I handled things out there." Weir had birdies on four of the first five holes. He was 13 under and ahead of Todd by two strokes when his tee shot at No. 5 settled 1 1/2 feet from the cup. That came after Weir blindly hit out of a fairway bunker to 3 feet at No. 4. But Weir missed the fairway and green for a bogey at the 431-yard sixth hole. At the same time Todd, who played the last 31 holes at TPC Four Seasons without a bogey, was tapping in at the fifth. Todd was shocked when he saw his ball settled at the base of a tree by the 13th green in the final round. As good as he is with his short game, it wasnt natural for the slender 6-foot-3 Todd to set up left-handed and hit the ball with the back side of a 4-iron. "Definitely, without a doubt," Todd said when asked if it was his most unique shot in a competitive round. And it came in his first PGA Tour victory. Todd saved par at the 185-yard 13th hole after knocking the ball to 7 feet, part of a bogey-free 4-under 66. He finished at 14-under 266. It was the 77th career PGA Tour event for Todd, who twice in the past five years had to go back to back to the Web.com Tour to regain full playing privileges. He earned $1,242,000, a PGA Tour exemption through the 2015-16 season and a spot next year in the Masters. "Im excited about the relief like I finally have a chance to play the PGA Tour for multiple years," Todd said. "No. 1, going to Augusta for the Masters is a dream come true." Todd, who took the lead for good with birdies at Nos. 9 and 10, is the fifth formmer University of Georgia player to win on the PGA Tour this season. Lucas Vazquez Real Madrid Jersey. He joined Masters champion Bubba Watson, Harris English, Russell Henley and Chris Kirk. Todd also is the eighth first-time winner this season. Weir, the 2003 Masters champion who won the last of his eight PGA Tour titles in 2007, finished 12 under. Charles Howell III and Marc Leishman tied for third at 10 under. Graham DeLaet of Weyburn, Sask., finished in a tie for seventh place at 8 under. After Todd hit his tee shot at the 195-yard second into a greenside bunker, his shot from the sand landed on the green and rolled in for a birdie. When he knocked in a 14-foot birdie putt at the 181-yard fifth, he tied Weir -- who made a bogey on No. 6 -- for the lead at 12 under. Howell shot a 67 with a three-putt bogey on the final hole, while Leishman had three bogeys in a five-hole stretch on the back nine for a 68. Todd rolled in a 17-foot par-saver at No. 17, keeping a two-stroke lead over Weir going to the final hole. He needed only 99 putts in the four rounds. "It was a dream week for me on the golf course," Todd said. "Felt like I absolutely scored my pants off. It was just a short game display. I have a great short game, and even Ill say it was special this week." Boo Weekley (6 was 9 under to tie for fifth with James Hahn (70). Weekley is the defending champion at Colonial, about 30 miles away and the next tournament. Louis Oosthuizen, the 2010 British Open in the final group with Todd, had already slipped four strokes back at the turn before bogeys at Nos. 10-11. The 2010 British Open champion shot 74, 10 strokes worse than Saturday, to tie for 11th at 6 under. Martin Kaymer won The Players Championship last weekend and opened at the Nelson with consecutive 67s. But he shot 71 Saturday before a bogey-birdie-bogey start Sunday on way to a 72 and tied for 29th at 3 under. That was a stroke better than Jimmy Walker, who will remain No. 1 in the FedEx Cup standings. Jordan Spieth, the 20-year-old Dallas native ranked eighth in the world, had a closing 68 to finish 2-under and tied for 37th at the tournament where he made the cut as an amateur at ages 16 and 17. He finished two strokes behind 17-year-old Scott Scheffler, the top junior golfer from Dallas who played on a sponsor exemption. With the Toronto Raptors celebrating their 20th anniversary season in 2014-15, Josh Lewenberg and TSN. James Van Riemsdyk Maple Leafs Jersey .ca take a look back at the franchises first two decades with weekly Top Five lists, counting down the standout and signature players and moments in team history. Today, we look back at the best trades and the general managers who made them. 1. Acquired the draft rights to Vince Carter and cash from Golden State for the draft rights to Antawn Jamison - June 24, 1998 (Glen Grunwald) The most important trade in Raptors history was merely a formality. Yes, Toronto selected Jamison, who would switch hats with his college teammate on draft night, but it was Carter the Raptors had targeted all along. Of the two, Jamison actually had the better body of work at UNC and was known to be the Warriors preference, selecting fifth overall. So Grunwald, drafting for the first time as general manager, nabbed the forward with the fourth pick, immediately swapping him for some cash. Sold after watching his pre-draft workouts, Grunwald saw something in Carter and his instincts didnt deceive him. While Jamison would go on to have a very good 16-year career, Carter was the franchise-altering star the Raptors desperately needed coming off a horrendous season. 2. Acquired Kyle Lowry from Houston for Gary Forbes and a first-round pick - July 11, 2012 (Bryan Colangelo) Although Lowry had been on Colangelos radar for some time - with this trade, or a variation of it on the table weeks before the trigger was ultimately pulled - the Rockets point guard was his consolation prize. To think what might have been if the Raptors courtship of the deteriorating Steve Nash had come to fruition? What condition would the organization be in now and where might Lowrys career have taken him? The trade that never was - a vetoed deal to send him to the Knicks 17 months later - also deserves mention here. In the end, Lowrys move to Toronto worked out better than anyone could have imagined and with the Rockets retooling at the time, the price was minimal. Houston would end up repackaging Torontos pick to Oklahoma City in the James Harden deal and the Thunder selected centre Steven Adams 12th overall in a weak 2013 draft. 3. Acquired Antonio Davis from Indiana for the draft rights to Jonathan Bender - Aug. 1, 1999 (Grunwald) Giving up a first-round pick, let alone a lottery selection, is always a calculated risk but Toronto was playing with found money in 1999. In a three-team trade youll find further down on this list, the Raptors gave up a young Chauncey Billups and acquired a future first-round pick from Denver, a pick that turned out to be the fifth overall selection. Coming off their best season to date, Carters rookie year, the Raptors needed immediate help and Pacers veteran Antonio Davis fit the bill. Davis would become an all-star in Toronto and help lead the team to three straight playoff appearances, while the oft-injured Bender - a high schooler chosen by Indiana with the traded pick - never came close to reaching his potential before his career was cut short. 4. Acquired Amir Johnson and Sonny Weems from Milwaukee for Carlos Delfino and Roko Ukic - Aug. 18, 2009 (Colangelo) Contending for championships with a veteran roster, particularly in the frontcourt, the Pistons gave up on a young Amir Johnson, the NBAs last player to be drafted straight out of high school. In the summer of 2009, they dumped him on the Bucks, another team with playoff aspirations, who repackaged him a couple months later hoping to get some immediate help in veteran Carlos Delfino. The Raptors had retained Delfinos rights when he left the league to play in Russia but he was not likely to suit up for them again. For basically nothing, Colangelo was happy to scoop up a 22-year-old Johnson, with very little milage on his tires despite four years in the association. Weems became a serviceable rotation player but the prize was Johnson, who has been a fixture in Torontos lineup for six seasons and counting. 5. Acquired Greivis Vasquez, Patrick Patterson, Chuck Hayes and John Salmons from Sacramento for Rudy Gay, Quincy Acy and Aaron Gray - Dec. 9, 2013 (Masai Ujiri) There was no wizardry at work here. As Ujiri likes to say, he and his staff had no idea how this leap of faith would pan out. They certainly had no idea it would produce the type of results it has. Some believe it was a first step in the tank-job that never was. Regardless, Rudy Gay had to go if the Raptors were going to break out of no mans land and head in either direction. With Gay gone, the team - up until recently - came together in a way that cant be quantified, Lowry and DeMar DeRozan blossomed into stars and the loot they got back in return proved valuable, primarily Vasquez and Patterson, who inked new deals this summer. The Raptors have a regular season record of 69-36 since the trade. Best of the rest: 6. Acquired Charles Oakley and Sean Marks from New York for Marcus Camby - June 25, 1998 (Grunwald) Just barely missed the top five. Oak arrived at the perfect time, bringing the veteran leadership and toughness Grunwald was looking to add to his young core. Camby become a defensive staple for New York and helped lead them to a Finals appearance. Mutually beneficial deal. 7. Acquired Michael Williams, Zeljko Rebraca and two first-round picks in a three-team trade with Denver and Minnesota for Chauncey Billups and the rights to Tyson Wheeler - Jan. 21, 1999 (Grunwald) Why is this so high? Well, Billups - coming off a rough rookie season - wasnt exactly Mr. Big Shot yet and those first-rounders the Raptors got in return turned out to be pretty useful. The Nuggets pick - fifth overall in 1999 - was swapped for Antonio Davis, while Minnesotas produced Morris Peterson 21st overall in 2000. 8. Acquired Doug Christie and Herb Williams from New York for Willie Anderson and Victor Alexandar - Feb. 18, 1996 (Isiah Thomas) Christie, a Raptor for almost five seasons, helped bridge the gap between the Stoudamire (Thomas) and Carter (Grunwald) eras. An under-the-radar acquisition that produced one of the franchises most reliable, all-around performers. 9. Acquired Jalen Rose, Donyell Marshall and Lonny Baxter from Chicago for Antonio Davis, Jerome Williams and Chris Jefferies - Dec. 1, 2003 (Grunwald) Grunwald had hoped the addition of Rose and Marshall could rejuvenate his sinking team and keep Carter happy in Toronto. Although things turned out differently, the two vets had productive, albeit brief Raptor tenures while Davis and JYD were expendable nearing the end of their careers. 10. Acquired Marcus Camby, Steve Novak, Quentin Richardson, a first and two second-round picks from New York for Andrea Bargnani - July 10, 2013 (Ujiri) The inevitable divorce. Still hard to believe Ujiri was able to snag three picks for the disgruntled Bargnani. Will be years before we know the value of them and can truly evaluate this deal. But, for now, getting basically anything for the former first-overall pick is cause for celebration. 11. Acquired Lou Williams and Lucas Nogueira from Atlanta for John Salmons and a second-round pick - June 20, 2014 (Ujiri) Still early but so far so good. Williams is in pre-injury form once again and should contend for a Sixth Man of the Year award before hitting free agency while the Hawks cut Salmons immediately to save some cash. 12. Acquired T.J. Ford from Milwaukee for Charlie Villanueva - June 30, 2006 (Colangelo) Colangelo got the point guard he coveted in Ford, an important piece in Torontos first division title, while selling high on Charlie-Vs rookie season. 13. Acquired Kevin Willis from Houston for Roy Rogers and two first-round picks - June 9, 1998 (Grunwald) Like Oakley, Willis helped change the culture of a team on the rise, mentoring Carter and McGrady in their early years. Nothing came of the picks they gave up on the deal - Rockets selected Bryce Drew and Mirsad Turkcan. 14. Acquired Keon Clark, Tracy Murray and Mamadou Ndiaye from Denver for Kevin Willis, Garth Joseph, Alexandar Radojevic and a second-round pick - Jan. 12, 2001 (Grunwald) With the 38-year-old Willis serving his purpose, Grunwald exchanged him for a dynamic centre 13 years younger in Clark and two-time Raptor Tracy Murray. 15. Acquired Antonio Davis from New York for Jalen Rose and a first-round pick - Feb. 3, 2006 (Wayne Embry) Taking over for the recently dismissed Rob Babcock, Wayne Embry pulled the trigger on a move that would free up significant cap space for soon-to-be new GM Bryan Colangelo. Rose still had a full year on his deal while Davis contract - originally given to him by the Raptors - was set to expire. 16. Acquired Rasho Nesterovic from San Antonio for Eric Williams, Matt Bonner and a second-round pick - June 21, 2006 (Colangelo) Colangelos second trade turned out to be a big step in his express rebuild. Nesterovic started 73 games for the division-winning Raptors club that year. Doubt anyone was sorry to see Eric Williams go. 17. Acquired Alvin Williams, Kenny Anderson, Gary Trent, two firsts and one second-round pick from Portland for Damon Stoudamire, Walt Williams and Carlos Rogers - Feb. 13, 1998 (Grunwald) Inheriting the GM gig from Thomas, Grunwald made the best of a tricky situation after Stoudamire forced his hand in demanding a trade. Although Anderson refused to wear a Raptors jersey, he was immediately exchanged for an asset in Billups, while Alvin Williams blossomed into one of the franchises most important players. 18. Acquired Mike James from Houston for Rafer Alston - Oct. 4, 2005 (Rob Babcock) Babcocks only appearance on this list. Although it was mostly for naught - aside from earning him a big contract with Minnesota - James lone campaign in Toronto was one of the best single season performances in team history. 19. Acquired Leandro Barbosa and Dwayne Jones from Phoenix for Hedo Turkoglu - July 14, 2010 (Colangelo) Ball. 20. Acquired Kris Humphries and Robert Whaley from Utah for Rafael Araujo - June 8, 2006 (Colangelo) Colangelos first trade. He could have dumped Hoffa for Kim Kardashian and it would have made this list. Jack Armstrongs picks: 1. Vince Carter for Antawn Jamison 2. Kyle Lowry for Gary Forbes and a first-rounder 3. Antonio Davis for Jonathan Bender 4. Greivis Vasquez, Patrick Patterson, Chuck Hayes and John Salmons for Rudy Gay, Quincy Acy and Aaron Gray 5. Charles Oakley and Sean Marks for Marcus Camby Darcy Tucker Maple Leafs Jersey . -- The Grand Rapids Griffins scored three goals in 33 seconds of the second period en route to defeating the Hamilton Bulldogs 6-1 in American Hockey League action on Friday. Dave Keon Maple Leafs Jersey . Mired in an offensive slump, Lowry - the NBAs leader in taking charges this season - did what he has learned to do best, standing his ground and drawing a crucial offensive foul on the Cavaliers all-star point guard. Fast forward 30 seconds to the Cavs next possession, with the home team still trailing by three, Spencer Hawes - one of the leagues best passing big men - threw an interception, intended for Tyler Zeller and picked off by DeMar DeRozan. http://www.officialleafsauthority.com/bobby-baun-maple-leafs-jersey-c-29/ . "Its embarrassing what were doing here," leading scorer Phil Kessel said Wednesday. The most recent failed season came with even more pain than the six that preceded it. There was no hint of an impending implosion when the Leafs came roaring out of the all-star break with back-to-back games against Pittsburgh -- a 5-4 shootout loss followed by a 1-0 win the next night. NEW YORK -- Former baseball pitcher Roger Clemens and his onetime strength coach came face-to-face on Tuesday in a bid to settle their long-running legal dispute, but they emerged from a closed-door meeting without a deal. A judge had summoned Clemens and Brian McNamee to federal court in Brooklyn for settlement talks aimed at heading off a trial in the defamation case. McNamees lawyer emerged saying an agreement wasnt likely. "I think this is a case where the lines are deeply drawn in the sand," said attorney Richard Emery. "I certainly expect theres going to be a trial in this case." It was the first time Clemens and McNamee had been in a private setting opposite each other at a conference table since at least 2007, Emery said. His client, he added, has struggled in recent years with health and financial problems. Clemens and his attorneys left the courthouse on Tuesday without speaking to reporters. U.S. Magistrate Cheryl Pollak ruled previously that Clemens has to turn over thousands of emails and other documents to McNamee. She agreed on Tuesday to examine the material to determine whether or not it was protected by lawyer-client privilege, as Clemens lawyers contend. Another hearring was set for June 10. Auston Matthews Maple Leafs Jersey Authentic. McNamees 2009 federal lawsuit, which seeks unspecified damages, alleges Clemens launched an "intense and co-ordinated public relations offensive" against McNamee after the trainer told federal investigators and Congress that he injected Clemens more than a dozen times with steroids and human growth hormone from 1998 through 2001. The suit quotes Clemens saying in a YouTube video in 2007 that McNamee "did not inject steroids into my body either when I played in Toronto for the Blue Jays or the New York Yankees." It also cites an interview with ESPN in May in which Clemens, when asked about McNamee, responded that it was a case of "somebody out there that is really crawling up your back to make a buck." In 2012, a Washington jury found Clemens not guilty of lying to Congress about steroids and human growth hormone. He had adamantly denied using either substance at a 2008 congressional hearing. The prosecutions case relied heavily on the testimony of McNamee, who told jurors he injected Clemens with steroids and HGH many times. Clemens is a seven-time Cy Young Award winner who also pitched for the Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros. SAO PAULO - A group of Brazilian athletes is condemning the appointment of a new sports minister who has virtually no background in sports, saying the ministry is being used merely for political bargaining. Anton Stralman Lightning Jersey .The non-governmental organization Athletes For Brazil said Monday it was disappointed with last weeks decision by President Dilma Rousseff to replace Aldo Rebelo with George Hilton, who describes himself as a radio and television presenter, as well as a theologian. He is also an evangelical pastor. The 43-year-old Hilton, who will be the government official in charge of helping organize the 2016 Rio Olympics, had very few projects related to sports issues throughout his political career.Rebelo, who was in charge of Brazils World Cup preparations, is leaving to lead the Science, Technology and Innovation ministry.Athletes For Brazil said Dunga, Kaka, Dani Alves, Rogerio Ceni, Cafu, Leonardo, Jorginho and Rubens Barrichello are among its members. We demand a lot more respect and attention to everything related to sports in Brazil, something that is far from happening considering the criteria, or the lack of, used to choose the new minister, the organization said in a statement. Unfortunately, for years the sports ministry has been used for political bargaining. Its not about whos the best person for the job, its about which party has the right alliances. The organization said ministers have been chosen despite not having any familiarity with sports, which creates great damage to sports and to the country in a sector which is responsible for significant investments in mega events. On the eve of the Olympics, President Dilma relinquished an opportunity to improve sports, thus disappointing athletes, journalists, entrepreneurs, organizations, workers and sports lovers in general, Athletes For Brazil said. The Brazilian football confederation expressed its support for the new minister.Contrary to the opinion of some athletes, we have full trust in the appointment of Mr. George Hilton as the future sports minister, confederation president Marco Polo del Nero said. We should wait for his actions before we criticize him or not.Hilton is a member of the Brazilian Republican Party, which said the invitation to lead the sports ministry came as recognition for the partys good work heading the fishing ministry the last two years.Rebelo, a member of the Communist Party of Brazil, also had very few connections to sports when he took over the post. His administration was marked by a difficult relationship with FIFA before the World Cup, although in the end both sides worked well together and the tournament was considered a success despite minor setbacks.___Follow Tales Azzoni on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/tazzoni Ben Bishop Lightning Jersey . The Blue Jays, for the time being, are calling it a strain of the right index finger. "He felt something pop right here, an index finger strain," said manager John Gibbons, pointing to the base of his right index finger. Bowling Green, KY (SportsNetwork. Chris Young Mets Jersey .com) - Ranked by the Associated Press for the first time in school history, the 25th-ranked Old Dominion Monarchs try to keep the good times rolling on Saturday as they clash with the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers in Conference USA play at E.A. Diddle Arena. Off to the best start in program history, the Monarchs have lost just one of their first 14 outings, a surprising 64-45 setback versus Illinois State in late November. Since then the team has rattled off 10 straight victories which, while impressive, is still 12 shy of the school record of 22. Closing up a three-game road trip with this outing, Old Dominion most recently delivered a 72-51 knockout to Marshall on Thursday night in West Virginia. ODU, which has won 12 straight at home, returns to the Ted Constant Convocation Center next week for a meeting against Rice. As for the Hilltoppers, they too are off to a 2-0 start to the league slate thanks to an 81-62 beating of the Thundering Herd last weekend and a 74-66 triumph over Charlotte two nights ago at home. WKU has won four straight and six of the last seven outings, the one loss during the stretch coming against fourth-ranked Louisville, 76-67, on Dec. 20. With respect to the all-time series between these former Sun Belt Conference foes, the Hilltoppers cling to a 15-12 advantage, although this is the first meeting since the 1990-91 campaign. Defensively, the Monarchs held Marshall to just 37.0 percent shooting from the field and forced a total of 22 turnovers, far too much for the Herd to be competitive a few nights back at the Cam Henderson Center. At the offensive end, Jonathan Arledge tallied 13 points, followed by Trey Freeman and Jordan Baker with 11 points apiece. For Baker, the scoring burst marked just his second double-digit effort of the season and came on the heels of his scoreless performance versus Charlotte. From an offensive standpoint, Freeman is the only double-digit scorer for Old Dominion with his 16.0 ppg, stemming from 82.0 percent accuracy at the free- throw line. Freeman, who accounts for 3.9 rpg, is also first on the unit with 47 assists, just ahead of Aaron Bacote (9.1 ppg) who has handed out 40. From a defensive perspective, there are few teams in college that are as suffocating, limiting foes to only 54.8 ppg on 38.5 percent shooting from the field and 28.9 percent beyond the arc. After being knotted at 40-40 at the break, the Hilltoppers found themselves behind by seven in the second half before producing a 15-point swing in the period and the eventual victory at home. Except for Aleksej Rostov who finished with just two points in 12 minutes of action, every starter landed in double figures, led by T.J. Price who tallied 21 points. George Fant registered a double-double with 18 points and a game-high 11 rebounds, followed by Trency Jackson and Chris Harrison-Docks with 15 points apiece. Price, who is now 15th on the schools all-time scoring list and just 16 points shy of 1,500 for his career, is leading the WKU offense with 17.7 ppg, stemming from his 47.7 percent accuracy from behind the three-point line, which just happens to be better than his 46.9 percent from the field overall. Fant adds another 11.8 ppg and is tops with 7.7 rpg, although his 61.2 percent effort at the free-throw line keeps him from catching up to Price on the all- time scoring list. Neil Walker Jersey . Cavaliers shooting guard Craig Ehlo makes a solid play on the ball, but still Jordan hits the amazing shot. Jeurys Familia Jersey . Geovany Soto had an RBI for the Cubs. Carlos Silva gave up one run on three hits over six innings to pick up the win. Josh Willingham drove in the lone run for the Nationals, who had just four hits. http://www.baseballmetsofficial.com/alejandro-de-aza-jersey-c-22/ . That time around, the cage is as much a part of baseballs daily routine as a beer and a hotdog is to a fan in the stands. Coaches, scouts, broadcasters and other media hover, tossing verbal barbs, telling stories and sharing laughs. Occasionally, especially in spring when the atmosphere is relatively laid back, the list of invited guests expands and on this day, Gibbons welcomed two men strongly influential in his life.CLEVELAND -- The Cavaliers exhaustive head coaching search is expanding -- again. The team will interview former Maccabi Tel Aviv coach David Blatt, a person familiar with the teams plans told The Associated Press on Thursday. Earlier in the day, Blatt announced in Israel that hes leaving the European champion to pursue an unspecified job in the NBA. Hell meet with the Cavs next week, said the person who spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the team is not discussing any aspect of its search -- now a month old. The 55-year-old Blatt has known Cavs general manager David Griffin for years. At his news conference, Blatt, who led Maccabi to its first European title this year, said hes weighing offers from unnamed teams and has "a few good options." Hes expected to make a decision soon. "I am leaving here not because I was asked to. The opposite is true, I was asked to stay, and offered the best possible conditions for such an event," Blatt said. "But I just felt it is a move I wanted to make. It has been a dream of mine for almost forever to go and join a team in the NBA in some capacity. "I wish I could have done it as a player. I wasnt good enough. But now perhaps Ill have that opportunity as a coach." Blatt has ddrawn interest to be an assistant with New York, Golden State and Minnesota. Yoenis Cespedes Mets Jersey. The Cavs, though, are interested in talking to him about being their head coach. They reached out to him last week, but had not set up a face-to-face meeting. The Cleveland Plain Dealer was first to report Blatts interview. Blatt is just the latest candidate to interview with the Cavs, who will have a second meeting with Clippers assistant coach Alvin Gentry on Friday. The person familiar with the teams plans also said the Cavs will meet for the second time with another Clippers assistant, former NBA guard Tyronn Lue. Gentry and Lue are expected to speak with Cavs owner Dan Gilbert, who did not participate in the teams first round of interviews. The team has contacted as many as 12 candidates to fill the vacancy created when owner Dan Gilbert fired Mike Brown -- for the second time -- on May 12. The Cavs would like to have a coach in place by the NBA draft on June 26, but obviously, the team isnt rushing into any decisions. Earlier this week, the Cavs interviewed former Cleveland All-Star guard Mark Price, now an assistant with Charlotte. What a timely trip to the City of Champions. Doug Gilmour Maple Leafs Jersey . This was an unexpected trip to Edmonton because at the beginning of the season I was not slated to make the trek to where it all began for me some 30 years ago. Then I received a phone call from Paul Graham, Vice-President & Executive Producer of Live Events for TSN, and he notified me that Edmonton was interested in having me get involved with the Canadian Football Hall of Fame Weekend by emceeing a few events. That got the ball rolling for yours truly to get out to my old stomping grounds and have a chance to call the Montreal at Edmonton game, plus get involved with the aforementioned HOF events. Bonus! I could not believe how lucky I was. You see, of the six inductees selected into the Hall this season I had a direct link to five. Crazy! I played with all four players going in and yelled at the other for fourteen years while playing. Why? Well thats easy. It was the legendary CFL official John "Jake" Ireland. We definitely had our nose-to-nose, get-it-all-out, knock-down, drag-out confrontations before. But now we are friends and it meant for some pretty good ole stories out in Edmonton this past week. And like I said before, Id played and was teammates with Brian Fryer, Dan Ferrone, Earl Winfield and Miles Gorrell. Don Loney, "Father of Maritime Football" and legendary coach at St. FX, was the other deserving inductee. Mr. Loney passed away in 2004 so his brother Ted and his lovely wife Jan were in attendance to accept the honor bestowed on Mr. Loney. Needless to say the hospitality suite was rocking each night we were in Edmonton, giving all the inductees and their families a chance to celebrate and tell some lies and endless hilarious stories. This made the week one that took a serious toll on the remaining brain cells I have left. It all started with the Jacket Presentations on Wednesday evening, the bust unveiling on Thursday morning, the dinner and speeches Thursday evening then the Hall of Fame Game Saturday afternoon. I cant tell you how proud I was for the class of 2013 but also for the City of Champions. Although the professional sports in Edmonton may not be living up to the top billing lately, the people of Edmonton and their fans certainly are once again! Over 1,100 folks attended the Edmonton Eskimos Gala Dinner in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame celebration and the Induction Ceremonies for the class of 2013. Dave Randorf co-hosted the induction portion of the evening with me; basically we just tried not to screw things up because Aquila Productions had everything under control. It was truly a stellar evening. The work and effort that goes into something of this magnitude is overwhelming and often a labour of love for all involved. A Big "slow clap" for Executive Director of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame Mark DeNobile and Manager, Marketing and Events Sarah Lajeunesse. Id be remiss if I did not mention the ageless and wonderful Allan Watt, Vice Presiden,t Marketing and Communications for the Eskimos and the beautiful and talented Amy Moats, Marketing and Game Operations Coordinator for the Esks. The man usually in charge of everything Aquila was nowhere to be seen. Unfortunately the brilliantly talented Don Metz was ill and in the hospital. Only good thoughts for Don and a speedy recovery! You would have been proud of your team, in particular Glenn Wiun. A tip of the hat to everyone involved in an unforgettable weekend recognizing the CFHOF Class of 2013. Dave Keon Maple Leafs Jersey .com) - Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer were among the third-round winners Friday at the French Open. Nazem Kadri Maple Leafs Jersey Authentic . De La Rosa pitched six strong innings to win his sixth consecutive decision, Todd Helton homered and the Colorado Rockies snapped the Los Angeles Dodgers six-game winning streak with a 7-5 victory on Wednesday night. http://www.officialleafsauthority.com/morgan-rielly-maple-leafs-jersey-c-30/ . He just didnt expect them to be this good. Darrun Hilliard scored 19 points to lead No. 6 Villanova to a dominating 77-59 victory over Georgetown on Saturday, preserving the Wildcats hopes of a No.Glendale, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Antoine Vermette scored twice and the Arizona Coyotes downed the Philadelphia Flyers, 4-2, on Monday. Shane Doan and Oliver Ekman-Larsson also lit the lamp while Devan Dubnyk made 30 saves for Arizona, which matched its season high with a third straight victory. I think it was a really competitive game, Coyotes head coach Dave Tippett said. We capitalized on some opportunities and defended pretty well. R.J. Umberger scored twice 3:02 apart late in the third period, but the Flyers nevertheless fell to 3-2 on their eight-game road trip. Its frustrating to lose the hockey game and come out the way we did, Flyers head coach Craig Berube said. We havent risen to the occasion. Steve Mason, in his first start since Dec. 18, surrendered three goals on 24 shots against. Mark Streit fed Umberger for his first goal with 7:49 remaining in the third, and the Flyers went on a power play less than a minute later. They failed to score with the man advantage but kept the pressure on, and Umberger deflected a Sean Couturier shot into the back of the net with 4:47 left on the clock. Philadelphias best chance in the closing moments came on Claude Girouxs cross-ice pass to Vincent Lecavalier. Tim Horton Maple Leafs Jersey Authentic. Lecavalier let a one-timer fly from the right circle, but Dubnyk easily smothered it. Vermette sealed the win with an empty-netter. The Coyotes won a faceoff in front of Dubnyk late in the opening period and caught the Flyers on their heels going the other way. Doan let a shot fly from the point that beat Mason with 1:34 left in the stanza. Vermette was originally ruled to have deflected it in, but Doan was credited with the goal after the game. Mason saved a shot through a screen in the second period, but the rebound spun loose and Vermette was there for an easy goal at the 15:31 mark. Flyers forward Scott Laughton was sent off for hooking 2:02 into the third, and on the ensuing power play, Ekman-Larsson posted his ninth goal of the season with a shot from the point. Game Notes Ekman-Larsson has six goals in December ... Philadelphia is 0-for-15 on the power play in its last six games after failing on two chances Monday ... Arizona has won three in a row at home after dropping nine straight ... Mason missed the previous four games with a back injury. "The tiebreak was the biggest key," said Radwanska, who goes on to play Svetlana Kuznetsova. "I did a couple of good shots in the tiebreak and managed to win that, and that gave me more confidence in the second set." Kuznetsova held off Alize Cornet of France 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 as the Russian continued her good run, including reaching the final in Portugal on Saturday. WINNIPEG -- The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed Canadian receiver Julian Feoli-Gudino and import defensive back Josh Francis on Tuesday. Ryan Switzer Cowboys Jersey . The six-foot, 200-pound Feoli-Gudino, 26, was drafted in the fifth round, 38th overall, by the Toronto Argonats in the 2011 CFL draft out of Laval. A native of Costa Rica who grew up in Montreal, Feoli-Gudino returned to school for his final year of eligibility. He signed with the Argos for the 2012 season and continued with the team in 2013, mainly on special teams. As a starter for Laval Rouge et Or, the two-time all-Canadian finished as the second-leading receiver in CIS history with 238 receptions. The six-foot, 228-pound Francis, 23, played two seasons at the University of West Virginia where he had 4.5 sacks, 54 tackles, and 39 solo tackles. Chidobe Awuzie Youth Jersey . Once again, the third baseman delivered in a big spot. Ramirez kept up his torrid hitting with a two-run homer to help back Wily Peraltas solid start, and the Brewers extended their winning streak to seven with a 4-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday night. Xavier Woods Jersey . After a 99-97 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night, his Celtics coaches and teammates have only positive things to say about the Toronto-born rookie. http://www.footballcowboysshop.us/cowboys-ryan-switzer-super-bowl-jersey-authentic/ . Kansas City became the first team in baseball history to win four extra-inning games in a single postseason on Friday, as Alex Gordon crushed a leadoff homer in the 10th and Mike Moustakas added the deciding two-run blast in the Royals 8-6 win.CLEVELAND -- With his team in trouble, DeMar DeRozan flashed his All-Star form at the finish. DeRozan scored 16 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter, and the Toronto Raptors won for the sixth time in seven games with a 99-93 victory over the injury-riddled Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night. "DeMar was huge down the stretch," Toronto coach Dwane Casey said. "He made shots, he made plays, he made some free throws." DeRozan also made a key defensive play with the Raptors leading 94-91 and 32 seconds remaining. He stole a pass from Spencer Hawes by knocking Tyler Zeller to the floor and then made two free throws for a five-point lead. "I dont have too many of those left in me," DeRozan said of the hard hit. "I kind of anticipated that." Terrence Ross hit a 3-pointer with 3:02 remaining to put Toronto ahead 90-89. DeRozan dunked on a baseline drive and added two free throws to give the Raptors a 94-91 lead with 1:23 remaining. Kyrie Irving, who played 45 minutes and the entire second half because of Clevelands depleted roster, scored 25 points and had nine assists. Cleveland has lost three straight after winning six in a row and fell 5 1/2 games out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Irving had no problem with coach Mike Browns decision to leave him in the game. "I told Coach Im willing to do whatever it takes for us to get a win," Irving said after playing a career high in a 48-minute game. The Cavaliers again played without centre Anderson Varejao (sore back) and guards Dion Waiters (hyperextended left knee) and C.J. Miles (sprained left ankle). Ross scored 19 points while Greivis Vasquez added 15 for the Raptors, who beat the Cavaliers 98-91 in Toronto on Friday and have won three in a row. Toronto leads the Atlantic Division and is in third place in the Eastern Conference. Hawes, making his first start for Cleveland since being acquired from Philadelphia last week, scored 15 points. Cleveland took its last lead at 89-87 with 3:11 to play on Zellers two free throws, but Ross 3-pointer put Toronto ahead for good. Irving, the MVP of the All-Star game, was called for charging into Kyle Lowry in the final minute. The call was upheld after oofficials viewed a replay. Chidobe Awuzie Jersey. Irving was bumped on his way to the basket on Clevelands next possession but no call was made. "Its part of the game," he said of the officiating. "The refs are going to make their call. Thats their job. You move on to the next play and the next game. Im going to pick myself up and get ready for Oklahoma City (Wednesday night)." The Raptors went on a 15-0 run over a span of 6:46 in the first and second quarters to take a 14-point lead, but Casey was displeased his team let the Cavaliers get back in the game. "Were nowhere near where we can walk in a game and expect to win," he said. "All of our games are grind it out. Were going to see everyones best haymaker. They threw their best haymaker at us, they played desperate. Give credit to them." The early offensive struggles were a major reason Brown didnt take Irving out in the second half. "When I pulled him in the first half we had a little trouble scoring," Brown said. "I thought he was in a little bit of a groove. Hes our best player so I wanted to leave him on the floor and see if he could help the second unit generate some easy baskets." Toronto had a five-point possession in the second quarter that began when Vasquez hit a 3-pointer. Hawes was called for a foul when he and Tyler Hansbrough went to the floor. Hawes was then given a technical for arguing the call, and DeRozan and Hansbrough each made a free throw. Hansbrough completed another three-point play after DeRozans basket. Jarrett Jack was called for a foul after Hansbrough was knocked to the floor. Jack was also hit with a technical. Toronto built a 36-22 lead but Cleveland cut the margin to 47-41 at halftime and scored the first seven points of the third quarter to take a one-point lead. NOTES: Brown said it was unlikely that Varejao, Waiters and Miles would make the trip to Oklahoma City. Varejao has missed the last seven games while Waiters has been out four straight and Miles three in a row. Brown said Varejao and Waiters have begun some on-court work. ... Raptors C Jonas Valanciunas had two points in 17 minutes and played only seven minutes in the second half. ... Zeller started the first six games Varejao missed.
