The Detroit Tigers, Oakland As and Atlanta Braves remain in the top three spots of the TSN. Andre Johnson Jersey .ca MLB Power Rankings, the same order as a week ago, but plenty of changes follow. The L.A. Angels of Anaheim jump from 11 to four, winning even as centre fielder Mike Trout is mired in a slump. Moving up, from 13 to eight, the St. Louis Cardinals are improving and got left-handed starter Jamie Garcia back from injury. Now within a game of the AL East lead, the Toronto Blue Jays rise from 14 to nine and havent lost anything, yet, with Anthony Gose replacing Colby Rasmus in centre field. Results have been slow to come for the Cincinnati Reds, but theyre getting healthier, with catcher and starting pitching Tony Cingrani coming off the DL; those moves contribute to the Reds vaulting from 19 to 10. Despite an injury to staff ace Andrew Cashner, the San Diego Padres are up, from 27 to 18, thanks to third baseman Chase Headley and left-fielder Carlos Quentin returning from injuries. Heading the other way, the Los Angeles Dodgers, beaten by 10 runs or more twice in one week, fall from seven to 13. Injuries continue to plague the Washington Nationals, who fall, from nine to 16, on Gio Gonzalez joining the DL, and the Baltimore Orioles, losers of six of the past eight games, are down, from 10 to 17. Daley had a goal and an assist, Kari Lehtonen recorded his fifth shutout of the season, and the Stars clinched their first playoff berth since 2008 with a 3-0 victory against the St.ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Von Miller is set to have surgery to repair his torn right ACL in Florida on Thursday. Millers rehab is expected to take six to nine months, meaning he could miss the start of the Denver Broncos training camp next summer. LONDON -- The Netherlands had a disappointing start to qualifying for the European Championship and fellow World Cup team Bosnia

LONDON -- The Netherlands had a disappointing start to qualifying for the European Championship and fellow World Cup team Bosnia-Herzegovina was stunned by Cyprus in Tuesdays biggest upset. Kony Ealy Jersey . Wales narrowly avoided a similar stumble at tiny Andorra, while Italy had a comfortable victory in Antonio Contes first competitive game in charge. Here is a look at Tuesdays qualifying games around Europe: ------ GROUP A: Defender Daryl Janmaats blunder handed substitute Vaclav Pilar an injury-time winner as the Czech Republic beat the Netherlands 2-1. Janmaat attempted to head a harmless cross back to his goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, but the ball beat him and Pilar pounced as it ricocheted off the post and into his path. "Its my mistake," Janmaat told Dutch broadcaster NOS. "I cant make it right." Midfielder Borek Dockal gave the home team the lead in the 22nd minute with a powerful left-foot shot after loose Dutch defending. Stefan de Vrij, who missed a cross in the lead-up to Dockals goal, made amends by equalizing for the Dutch in the 55th, rising to head home a Daley Blind cross after the Czech defence failed to clear a corner. In other Group A matches, Kazakhstan and Latvia played out a 0-0 draw and Iceland beat 10-man Turkey 3-0 to go top of the group on goal difference. In Reykjavik, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson scored in the 18th minute and Icelands task of defending its lead was made easier when Omer Toprak was sent off in the 59th minute for his second yellow card. Gylfi Sigurdsson doubled the lead in the 76th minute and Kolbeinn Sigthorsson completed the scoring a minute later. ------ GROUP B: Wales needed two goals from star winger Gareth Bale to avoid a massive upset against Andorra, coming from behind to win 2-1 in the tiny principality. Cyprus did manage a shock in the other Group B game, beating Bosnia-Herzegovina 2-1 after the host missed a late penalty. Wales is hoping to reach its first major tournament since 1958 after UEFA expanded the Euro 2016 field to 24 teams but got off to a poor start when Ildefons Lima put the hosts ahead with a penalty in the sixth minute. It was Andorras first goal in a competitive game in four years. But Wales fought back on a poor artificial pitch as Bale headed in a cross from Ben Davies in the 22nd minute. The Real Madrid star then scored the winner with a dipping free kick in the 81st minute. Cyprus staged a similar comeback, with Dimitris Christofi scoring twice after Bosnia took the lead through Vedad Ibisevic in the sixth minute. Christofi beat goalkeeper Asmir Begovic to a cross and headed in the equalizer just before halftime. With Bosnia pushing for a winner, Cyprus struck on the counterattack as Christofi came one-on-one with Begovic and calmly slotted in the winner to stun the fans in Zenica. Bosnia had a chance to equalize when striker Edin Dzeko was fouled in the area in the 89th, but Miralem Pjanic had his penalty saved by goalkeeper Antonis Giorgallides Belgium and Israel are also in the group, but their opening game was postponed until March because of the conflict in Gaza. ------ GROUP H: Simone Zaza scored his first international goal to help Italy beat Norway 2-0 in Oslo. Zaza, who became the first Sassuolo player to win an Italy cap last week, broke the deadlock following a mazy run with a shot from a tight angle which took a slight deflection to wrong-foot Norway goalkeeper Orjan Nyland. Strike partner Ciro Immobile was offside and in the goalkeepers line of vision, but the referee waved away Norways protests. Leonardo Bonucci doubled Italys lead shortly after the hour mark, when the Juventus defender was left unmarked at the far post and headed in a cross from substitute Manuel Pasqual. Zaza also hit the crossbar late on and had an effort cleared off the line. Elswhere in Group H, second-half goals from Luka Modric and Andrej Kramaric gave Croatia a 2-0 win over Malta, while substitute Ventsislav Hristovs late header gave Bulgaria a 2-1 victory in Azerbaijan. Morris Claiborne Jersey . After not scoring 40 points in the opening quarter in the last five seasons, the Rockets have done it five times this season and twice in the last three games. Josh Martin Jersey . But this time, the Gunners weathered the storm. Arsene Wengers team was on the ropes in the early stages of a lively FA Cup tie, until Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored a goal against the run of the play. http://www.shopnyjets.us/lorenzo-mauldin-jersey/ . "Youre not really spending time to sit back and analyze what your competitions doing and things like that," Anthopoulos said. "Youre so focused on what were trying to get done." Ultimately, while the landscape around them changed with trades both major and minor, the Blue Jays did nothing before Thursdays non-waiver deadline.DALLAS -- Kari Lehtonen stopped all 37 shots and the Dallas Stars clearly frustrated the top-seeded Anaheim Ducks. Everything changed in this first-round series when the Stars got their first home playoff game in six years. While Dallas captain Jamie Benn skated out of the penalty box to score first and 19-year-old rookie Valeri Nichushkin added a goal, Anaheims dynamic scoring duo of Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry probably had more punches than shots as the Stars won 3-0 in Game 3 Monday night. "Im pretty sure if you watch the scrums, our guys got punched in the face a few times," Stars coach Lindy Ruff said. "Eventually youre going to punch back. ... For us, we know weve got a good skating team and I think that we can frustrate." Ruff said it was "just playoff hockey." Lehtonen held up through five Anaheim power plays and had some tremendous stops to get his first career post-season victory. "It was unbelievable. Thats Kari at his best," Benn said. "He made some big saves at key times and kept us in the game and pretty much won that game for us." Game 4 is Wednesday night. And this best-of-seven series is now guaranteed Game 5 in Anaheim, where the Ducks opened the series with a pair of one-goal victories. It had been 2,162 days since the Stars last hosted a playoff game, May 19, 2008, a 4-1 loss to Detroit in the clinching Game 6 of the Western Conference finals. This one ended with chants for Lehtonen, previously 0-4 in the playoffs (two losses with Atlanta in 2007) with a 4.58 goals-against average and .858 save percentage. "I think in the first game I got scored on with the first shot and that just kind of sets the tone for the rest of the game. I was able to make a couple of good saves and it just kind of went from there," Lehtonen said. "At the age of 30, it was about time to get that first one." Late in the second period, Getzlaf and Perry were exchanging punches with different Dallas players during a stoppage. Antoine Roussel delivered a roundhouse left to Getzlaf, the Anaheim captain wearing a half-visor to protect the stitches from taking a puck to the face in Game 1. Meanwhile, Stars defenceman Alex Goligoski and Perry were going at it. Asked about the physical play, Getzlaf responded, "Youve got to stay as disciplined as you can, but you have to protect yourself, too. I never expected them to tarrget my face that much. Bilal Powell Jersey. ." Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau was pretty direct with how he felt. "I guess you do anything to win, but its not something I think our team would do," Boudreau said. "Well take them and be as mean and physical as we need to be." Lehtonen had a kick save near the end of the first power play in the final minute of the first period. That came right before Benn came out of the penalty box and skated toward the other end. Trevor Daley, the only Stars player left from their last playoff team in 2008, passed to Shawn Horcoff, who shot. The ricochet was knocked into the net by Benn with 35 seconds left in the first period to put the Stars ahead to stay. "We look to shut them down, you know to get under their skin," Daley said. Benn had been penalized for hooking right after Daley was having words with Getzlaf. The back-and-forth with Daley and Getzlaf carried into the second period, and they had to be separated in the opening minute -- just before an eerie replay for Ducks defenceman Stephane Robidas when he broke his right leg again. Robidas had to be helped off the ice after his leg bent awkwardly when a sliding Ryan Garbutt of Dallas undercut him. The team said the latest fracture was just above the one he sustained Nov. 29 while with Dallas. He didnt play again until being traded to Anaheim last month. "Its a huge loss because he was playing great," Boudreau said. "And of course I think all the guys on the bench felt extremely bad for him. I mean, heres your teammate whos just fought his way back from a broken leg." Fans cheered for the 37-year-old Robidas, chanting "Robi, Robi!" as he left the ice before being transported to a hospital. Nichushkin scored on a one-timer through the legs of Frederik Andersen, the rookie goalie who stopped 66 of 71 shots in Anaheim. Andersen faced only 22 shots in Game 3. Garbutt added a goal in the third period. NOTES: The game came exactly six weeks after Stars forward Rich Peverley collapsed on the home bench because of an irregular heartbeat against Columbus, and later underwent corrective surgery. There was a huge cheer when he was shown during a video that was part of the pregame production. ... It was a record crowd of 19,120 at the American Airlines Center, breaking the mark set when Mike Modanos No. 9 jersey was retired last month. Getafes first away win since Oct. 31 and first under new coach Cosmin Contra lifted the struggling Madrid-based side one point clear of the drop. Forwards Angel Lafita, Ciprian Marica and Pedro Leon scored for Getafe after Eduardo Vargas opened at Mestalla Stadium. Tempers flared in the final moments after Leon apparently provoked the crowd following his goal. Valencia defender Jeremy Mathieu was sent off for slapping Leon before Contra was also banished from the dugout. Valencia joined a group of teams fighting for an upper-table finish and a European berth who all dropped points this round. Real Sociedad was held to a 1-1 draw at Osasuna and Villarreal drew 1-1 at home with Elche, so none were able to fully capitalize of the losses by Athletic Bilbao, Sevilla, and Espanyol on Saturday. That left Bilbao in fourth place and in control of the last Champions League spot. Sevilla and Real Sociedad are six points behind in fifth and sixth places, while Villarreal is a further point back in seventh. Valencia had the goal of returning to the Champions League next season, but with this stinging loss it looks set to not even make the Europa League as it sits nine points adrift of Villarreal and in ninth place. "The reality is that right now we are not better than" Getafe, said Valencia coach Juan Pizzi. Valencia appeared to be in control after Vargas headed in Dani Parejos well-placed corner kick six minutes into the match. But Lafita unleashed a blistering low strike between two defenders that went in off the post in the 25th, and two minutes later Ciprian Marica dived to head in a pass, beating Valencias offside trap on a set piece. Getafe goalkeeper Jordi Codina palmed Philippe Senderos header over in the 64th and was fortunatte Paco Alcacers shot rattled the woodwork a minute later before Leon sealed the win in the 88th. Jalen Collins Jersey. "This is very important because the team was in a very delicate situation," Contra said. "This gives us a little bit of breathing room. I believe with this attitude and character we can turn this around." Sociedad also started well in Pamplona, with forward Gonzalo Castro hitting in the seventh from Carlos Velas unselfish pass following a defensive lapse from Osasuna. But Osasuna settled down and began to threaten from corners and free kicks, while Sociedad defender Inigo Martinez almost scored in the 49th from the centre line with a long lob that hit the crossbar. Osasuna striker Oriol Riera finally converted on his fourth shot attempt from a set piece when he headed in Roberto Torres cross in the 59th, and Sociedad needed goalkeeper Claudio Bravo to protect the point after Osasuna pressed them into their area in stoppage time. Villarreals quest to catch Bilbao was likewise frustrated in a dull match against Elche. After American sprinter Justin Gatlin took the honorary kickoff at El Madrigal Stadium, Elche went ahead in the 31st when Damian Suarez converted a penalty following Jeremy Perbets foul on Alberto Botia. Forward Jonathan Pereira scored the hosts equalizer a minute before halftime when he used one touch to turn in a high ball that fell to him in the box in one of few scoring chances. Valladolid beat 10-man Almeria 1-0 at home in a match between two teams fighting to avoid relegation. Valladolid striker Manucho scored what proved to be the winner in the sixth. Almeria defender Marco Torsiglieri was dismissed in the 75th with his second yellow card for fouling Manucho. Almeria was left in the drop zone along with Osasuna and Real Betis. Atletico Madrid leads the league by one point over Barcelona and three points ahead of Real Madrid with seven games to play. The Toronto Maple Leafs are hoping to keep unrestricted free agent forward Mason Raymond, however theyre not alone in wanting the services of the 28-year-old. Morgan Burnett Jersey . According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, the Leafs remain interested in re-signing Raymond, but several other teams have reached out to the former 25-goal scorer. Raymond signed a one-year, $1 million deal with the Leafs prior to last season following a training camp tryout. He scored 19 goals and added 16 assists while appearing in all 82 of the Leafs regular season games. In 456 career games with the Leafs and Vancouver Canucks, Raymond has scored 99 goals and 223 points. His career high in goals – 25 – came in the 2009-10 season with the Canucks. Raymond was drafted by Vancouver in the second round, 51st overall, of the 2005 Draft. Kenny Clark Jersey . Millsap will miss Wednesday nights game against the Chicago Bulls. The Hawks say Millsap also will be held out on Thursday at Boston. Dean Lowry Jersey . According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, the New York Rangers winger skated with extras and goalies today. http://www.shoptheofficialpackers.com/Elite-Lance-Kendricks-Packers-Jersey/ . "We cannot stay the same way the whole season long," said Reyes. "This is not acceptable. Something needs to change because were a better team than what were showing right now. Its a long season and we just need to continue to push." Its been a frustrating week for the ballclub. HOUSTON -- Garrett Richards followed the worst start of his career with one of his best. He also a truly special inning, striking out the side on just nine pitches. Richards fanned nine to match his major league best, helping the Los Angeles Angels snap a season-worst four-game skid with a 4-0 win over Houston Astros on Wednesday night. Richards (5-2) bounced back from a terrible outing in his last start when he allowed five runs while getting only two outs. It was the shortest non-injury-related start of his career. "I definitely came into this game with a little chip on my shoulder," Richards said. "Last one was embarrassing. And thats not the pitcher I am." In the second, he joined Nolan Ryan as the only Angels pitchers to strike out the side on nine pitches. Ryan did it in 1972. "That was my guy growing up," Richards said. "Its cool. Its cool to be put in a group with a guy like that. I didnt even realize it until after the game." Richards gave up four hits and walked none in eight innings. Of his first 35 pitches, 32 were strikes. Joe Smith struck out one in a hitless ninth. Erick Aybar had two doubles and an RBI and David Freese doubled and drove in a run for the Angels. Jarred Cosart (4-5) allowed eight hits and three runs and tied a career-high with eight strikeouts in 6 2-3 innings. Dexter Fowler had two hits for the Astros, but no one else could get anything going against Richards. Heralded prospect Jon Singleton went 0 for 4 with two strikeouts in his second major league game after homering in his debut on Tuesday night. Fowlers ground-rule double led things off for the Astros, but Richards retired the next eight batters. Fowler singled with two outs in the third but Jose Altuve grounded into a force out to end the inning. Richard located his pitches well all night, but his control was impeccable early in the game. "Garrett was ready," manager Mike Scioscia said. "I dont know if it was based on the last outing which was obviously tough for him. He just showed great command withh all his pitches. Kyler Fackrell Jersey. " Houston manager Bo Porter was impressed. "(He) had electric stuff tonight from the very first pitch until he left the game in the eighth," he said. "He was throwing 95, 96 late in the game with a wipeout slider. That is what you call dominating stuff." Freese doubled with one out in the fifth and C.J. Cron put the Angels on top 1-0 with his RBI single with two outs. Aybar hit a one-out double in the sixth before Albert Pujols drew a walk. Howie Kendrick and Freese hit back to back singles with two outs to stretch the lead to 3-0. The Angels didnt get a hit until Albert Pujols singled with two outs in the fourth inning, but Cosart struck out Josh Hamilton for the third out. Hamilton played centre field on Wednesday night in his second game back from the disabled list with star Mike Trout out again with back problems. Collin Cowgill entered the game as a pinch-runner in the eighth and took over in centre field and Hamilton moved to left. Cowgill preserved the shutout by sprinting to make a catch on the track just before Tals Hill in centre field on a fly ball hit by George Springer for the last out in the eighth. Trout had an MRI on Wednesday and said it didnt reveal any damage. He has some inflammation in the middle of his back on the left side and hopes to return to the lineup on Thursday. Trout missed two games with stiffness in his upper back before starting Tuesday night in Houston. He left that game in the second inning because of his back problem. He said that he feels a lot better on Wednesday than he did when he left the game on Tuesday night. "If I dont feel it at all, Im going to play," he said. "If I feel it a little bit, I should just be smart about it." NOTES: The series wraps up on Thursday when Los Angeles LHP Tyler Skaggs opposes Brad Peacock. ... Houston SS Jonathan Villar was out of the lineup on Wednesday after being hit on the right elbow by a pitch the night before. X-rays were negative and he is day to day. MILAN - Juventus maintained its charge to a third successive Serie A title as it won 1-0 at 10-man Catania in a fiery match in Serie A on Sunday. Dorian Johnson Jersey . Carlos Tevez scored the only goal of the game to take him level with Torino striker Ciro Immobile at the top of the scoring charts. Catania was forced to play with 10 men for much of the second half after Gonzalo Bergessio was dismissed following a second booking. Both coaches were also sent to the stands for protests during the first period. Juventus restored its 14-point lead over Roma, which has a game in hand. "I think the referee wanted to give a warning to the players, by sending off the managers and calming things down a bit," Conte said. "The match was very heated and we were good to keep a cool head. "I am very proud of the lads. We are playing at extraordinary levels, but we have to give credit to Roma, which is doing something incredible. So we have to stay awake because nothing is over and decided yet." Earlier, Fiorentina snatched a late 1-0 win at 10-man Napoli to boost its chances of sneaking into the Champions League. Inter Milan is four points further back after a last-minute goal consigned it to a 2-1 loss at home to Atalanta. Parma is level, but with a game in hand, after it drew 1-1 with Genoa in the lunchtime kickoff. "It was the perfect day, seeing as we opened up a gap on those behind us and got closer to third spot," Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella said. "It will be difficult to reach because Napoli is strong and has a big advantage. But well try right until the end." Lazio is five points off a European spot after being held to a 1-1 draw by AC Milan. Hellas Veronas European bid was dented again as it lost 5-0 at Sampdoria. Elsewhere, Udinese beat Sassuolo 1-0 and Bologna won a relegation fight against Cagliari by the same score. It was top against bottom in Serie A and 55 points separated Juventus and Catania going into the match. Tension was high from the start as the Juventus bus was pelted with objects on its way to the stadium. Juventus struggled but broke the deadlock shortly before the hour mark. Pablo Osvaldo nodded back a long ball from Andrea Pirlo for Tevez to race forward and fire home an angled drive for his 16th goal of the season. Both Napoli and Fiorentina were in need of a confidence boost after crashing out of the Europa League midweek. Faouzi Ghoulam was controversially dismissed in the 37th minute after bringing down Marko Bakic on the edge of the area and Joaquin headed home the winner two minutes from time. Fiorentina moved seven points behind third-place Napoli. There was also a late goal in Milan, where Giacomo Bonaventura scored his second of the game 10 seconds from time when he was left completely unmarked at the far post to head a free kick between Samir Handanovics legs. Mauro Icardi had cancelled out Bonaventuras opener within 60 seconds in the first half. To celebrate he held up a T-shirt dedicated to his girlfriend Wanda Nera, the ex-wife of former Sampdoria teammate Maxi Lopez. Inter should have sealed the match in the second half but Fredy Guarin smashed a shot off the crossbar and Rodrigo Palacio sent a glancing header onto the left upright. Both sides could have snatched the win. Inters Jonathan cleared off the line three minutes from time before chipping the ball off the underside of the crossbar at the other end. Atalanta also hit the woodwork in the first half, when German Denis headed Bonaventuras cross off the crossbar. Parma maintained its charge toward a European spot as it extended its club record unbeaten run to 17 matches. Milan coach Clarence Seedorf was under pressure with seven defeats in his 12 matches in charge. His side took the lead two minutes from halftime when Abdoulay Konko deflected Kakas shot into his own net. However, Alvaro Gonzalez headed in the equalizer on the hour. Substitute Mario Balotelli was unlucky as his effort hit the right post eight minutes from time. At Udinese, captain Antonio Di Natale scored his 10th goal of the season to ensure he reached double figures in goals for the eighth consecutive season. It was a good way to mark his 324th league appearance for Udinese — a new club record. Di Natale could have had a second but kicked up a chunk of turf as he ballooned a penalty over the bar. Sassuolo also missed a penalty kick. D.J. Humphries Jersey . The 23-year-old from Thornhill, Ont., defeated Germanys Benjamin Becker 6-3, 6-4 on Tuesday in the fourth round of the Sony Open in just 89 minutes. AUBURN HILLS, Mich. Brandon Allen Jersey . -- Stephen Curry didnt shoot all that well -- and Golden State won anyway. The Warriors figure thats a good sign at the start of a lengthy road trip. "Its not necessarily going to be flash and fun every night," Golden States Jermaine ONeal said. "If were going to have a chance to really compete for a championship, these are the types of games youre going to have to win in the playoffs. We have a fairly young team and these games like this build the character and the image of the team." Curry had 19 points, nine assists and eight rebounds, and the Warriors clamped down on the Detroit Pistons in the second half of a 104-96 victory Monday night. Klay Thompson scored 19 points for Golden State, which has won four in a row. The Pistons have lost five of seven since firing Maurice Cheeks and replacing him with interim coach John Loyer. Curry went 6 of 15 from the field and was only 3 of 9 from three-point range, but he repeatedly found teammates for open shots on the perimeter. "I tried to press a little in the third quarter," Curry said. "It didnt work out my way, so I tried to stay positive. Other guys were making plays, so it was kind of a team effort." The Warriors were still without David Lee, who has been dealing with a stomach flu. Andrew Bogut returned from a left shoulder injury and played 29 minutes before fouling out. It was the opener of a six-game road trip for Golden State. Greg Monroe had 23 points for the Pistons, who scored only 13 points in the fourth quarter. The Pistons were only down 63-62 at halftime but couldnt replicate that offensive success. "We took it to the finish line. We just didnt cross it," Loyer said. "You get to the last 2 or 3 minutes, thats what you are trying to get to in the NBA game. We have to get to the point where we can finish them." The Warriors have won six straight over the Pistons for the first time since a seven-game streak from 1975-76. Detroit trailed 95-94 after Monroes layup with 4:11 to play, but the Pistons didnt score again until the final minute. Golden State was progressively stingier in each quarter, allowing 37 points in the first before holding Detroit to 25, 21 and 13 in the remaining three. "We were trying to work the ball inside, but they were giving us a lot of tough angles and we couldnt get the offensive rebounds," Detroits Kyle Singler said. "You cant play one-and-done offence against a team that can put up points like Golden State. Theyve got shooters no matter where you look." The Warriors bench outscored Detroits 42-15. Golden State (35-22) is a season-high 13 games over .500. Detroit (23-34) is fading from the playoff race in the Eastern Conference. The Pistons are now four games behind eighth-place Atlanta. Josh Smith had 18 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists for Detroit but shot 9 of 24 from the field. The first half was an entertaining one. Curry had a four-point play in the first quarter -- just 40 seconds after Brandon Jennings had one for Detroit. There was also a dunk by Thompson on Singler that left the Detroit forward so off balance he fell into a row of cameramen near the basket. NOTES: Michigan State coach Tom Izzo was seated courtside, and Spartans standout Adreian Payne was nearby. Draymond Green, a former star at Michigan State, had six points and five rebounds for Golden State. "Adreian will be here on this level in a few months, so it was good for him to get to see a game up close and be able to see me play," Green said. "It was also good to see Coach Izzo. Four years with him, it hasnt changed. Hell still call me and tell me what Im doing wrong, and Ill call him and tell him what hes doing wrong." ... ONeal and Detroits Andre Drummond were hit with a double technical foul in the first quarter when they both went spilling into the same area for cameramen that Singler fell into. Green and Smith received technical fouls in the third, apparently for jawing at each other. Paul Posluszny Jersey . Various media outlets, including the Detroit Free Press, indicate a deal is close, while USA Today cited an unidentified person directly involved with the negotiations as saying the pact is for two years. Bryant, who is also recovering from a torn Achilles tendon, was not made available to the mediaa but reported progress in an in-house television interview. A. J. Cann Jersey. "Its going well," Bryant said. "I feel good. Obviously, I feel like Im ahead of schedule. Its about trying to get that range of motion back where I feel like I can run comfortably. WINNIPEG -- The Winnipeg Blue Bombers were back on the field Monday for the first time since they fell 26-3 to the Edmonton Eskimos last week, their first loss of the season, and with five quarterbacks throwing balls it looked at times like training camp all over. De Vondre Campbell Jersey . In some ways, maybe it is, because the Bombers know they have to find ways to correct flaws in their game that Mike Reilly and the Eskimos did a very handy job of exploiting. "It might have been a little bit of a wake-up call," said Winnipeg quarterback Drew Willy, who was sacked five times as his offence was held to just one field goal. "Obviously they are a good defence but we need to play better over all to give our defence a chance, because they played really well." And a lot. Winnipegs defence was on the field for more than 38 minutes, their offence just over 21 in the lopsided game that went bad early. It isnt encouraging that two key starters on that defence could be missing in action when the Bombers visit the B.C. Lions on Friday. Coach Mike OShea says defensive back Johnny Sears and lineman Jason Vega are doubtful. He says Sears has a hamstring issue that will be evaluated later in the week while Vega has a few ailments that likely will keep him off the field. The coach wasnt pushing the panic button, however. "Weve also got guys that have been practising very, very hard behind them," he said. "Were set up nicely depth-wise on defence, thats for sure." On Monday, the Bombers also shuffled players on their offensive line and they got their newest quarterback into the game, as Josh Portis learns Winnipegs offence. He was picked up last week from the Toronto Argonauts to add CFL experience to their backup pool. "Ive learned a lot, being in Toronto," Portis said after practice, praising Ricky Ray as a great teacher. "The game is different up here," he added. "Youve just got to pay attention to small details and the dimensions of the game, the angles of the game are a little different." With Mason Mills on Winnipegs practice roster, plus backups Robert Marve and Brian Brohm, who have been around since rookie camp, the Bombers now have five pivots. Receiver Aaron Kelly was practising again Monday and says he feels fine after being sidelined last week with a swollen knee, but OShea says they will also decide whether hes ready to return later in the week. While the Bombers are coming off that 26-3 home loss to Edmonton, the Lions are riding high after their 41-5 thumping of the Montreal Alouettes. This Friday also has been officially declared Geroy Simon Day in Vancouver, to honour the receiver who helped lead the Lions to two Grey Cups and added one more ring to his collection with the Saskatchewan Roughriders last year before retiring. Simon, who spent his first two seasons with the Bombers before joining B.C., is the CFLs all-time career leader in receiving yards with 16,352, ranks first in pass receptions with 1,029 and third in touchdown receptions with 103. The Bombers also added two more players to their practice roster Monday, international running back Sam McGuffie and Canadian linebacker Kyle Jones. Jones is in his sixth season in the CFL, with stints in Hamilton, B.C. and Toronto. He has a career 34 special teams tackles and seven defensive tackles. "Not only can he play special teams and do that well for you, he can get you out of a game in a lot of different spots," said OShea, Torontos former special teams co-ordinator before he took over the Bombers., "One thing he cant do is snap to himself, hold it and kick his own field goal. But I havent asked him to do that, so maybe he can." Thay may not be a talent he needs in Winnipeg. Rookie kicker Liram Hajrullahu was pressed into handling punting duties for the Bombers last week as well, after Mike Renaud injured himself during practice. The Bombers didnt suffer for the switch, with his 10 punts averaging just over 45 yards, a little better than Renaud this season. Hajrullahu says he feels comfortable handling both but wants to get better at punting, which is more complicated. Custom Atlanta Falcons Jerseys . CINCINNATI, Ohio -- A three-game sweep left the Pirates with 94 wins and home-field advantage for the wild-card playoff. Adam Graves Jersey . Now, its back home to PNC Park to get the post-season started. Quite a weekend, no? "The big thing about that is: It means absolutely nothing," outfielder Marlon Byrd said. "Everything youve done for 162 games now means absolutely nothing." Tell that to the revved-up Pirates fans ready to pack PNC Park on Tuesday night for their first playoff game in 21 years. The Pirates headed into the playoffs with a lot of momentum on Sunday, beating the Cincinnati Reds 4-2 in a game that was mostly an afterthought for teams looking ahead to their rematch in two days. "Im happy with where were at," said Pedro Alvarez, who had a chance to share the NLs home run title. "Obviously we have a lot to accomplish and get done, but weve gone out there and played some pretty good baseball. Weve just got to keep going." The Pirates and Reds have met five times in the playoffs: 1970, 1972, 1975, 1979 and 1990, when the Reds won their last World Series title. The wild-card matchup features right-hander Johnny Cueto (5-2), who is 8-2 career at PNC Park, against left-hander Francisco Liriano (16-, who is 0-3 in four starts against Cincinnati this season. First, there was one game to finish the schedule, and it meant little to either team. Pittsburgh played mostly backups. Alvarez was in the lineup, giving him a chance to try to win the NL home run crown outright. He walked, was hit by a pitch and popped out, finishing the season tied with Arizonas Paul Goldschmidt at 36 homers. The last Pirate to lead the league in homers was Willie Stargell in 1973 with 44. "This is something extra," Alvarez said. "Im not worried about that at all." Reds manager Dusty Baker started his regulars but began substituting after the third inning. Corky Miller had a two-run double. The Reds dropped their last five games, matching their season high. "I dont think were worried about the way we finished the season," catcher Ryan Hanigan said. "I think everybodys excited about the opportunity. All of that is in the past. Everything is ahead of us." Jordy Mercer got the Pirates second inside-the-park homer of the season when right fielder Jay Bruce dived and missed his sinking liner in the second inning. Mercer also had a triple off Greg Reynolds (1-3) and scored twice. Garrett Jones homered for the Pirates, who hit nine in all during the series. Brandon Cumpton (2-1) gave up a pair of hits in five shutout innings. Kyle Farnsworth got his second save. On Tuesday, the Ohio River cities will add to a rivalry that has long been second-best for both cities. Cincinnati has its in-state grudge match with Cleveland. Pittsburgh also has a long-standing rivalry with Cleveland, a pair of steel cities that share a love for polkas and pierogies. Lately, the river rivalry has moved to the forefront. The Bengals beat the Steelers at Heinz Field last December to clinch the AFC North title and knock the Steelers out of the post-season. They signed one of Pittsburghs best players -- linebacker James Harrison -- as a free agent and beat the Steelers again in a Monday night game at Paul Brown Stadium this month. And now, its spilling over to baseball with an edgy series that got both cities attention during the summer -- 28 batters plunked overall, the most in the majors. All those hit batters have left a mark. It feels like a rivalry again. "I think weve gotten each others attention since Ive been here," said Clint Hurdle, in his third season as the Pirates manager. "I think theres a professional respect and theres a desire to go out and win. "I think the content of the games and the quality of the games over the past three years have probably led to that a little bit. Its kind of refreshing. Thats the way it was back when I was a kid watching these two teams play." The Reds are trying to get past the disappointment of their closing week. They clinched a playoff spot on Monday night, but went in to a batting slump that allowed the Pirates to get home-field advantage for the wild card. "As bad as things have been this weekend, we should be very happy and thankful that were going to Pittsburgh to play instead of being down and sad about whats transpired," Baker said. "Our goal is to go to Atlanta or St. Louis (in the division series) and then give our people some more games." NOTES: Alvarez also led the NL with 186 strikeouts. Bruce was second with 185. ... Reds 2B Brandon Phillips was out of the lineup with a bruised left shin, hit by a foul ball on Saturday. Hes expected to play on Tuesday. ... Joey Votto and Shin-Soo Choo finished first and second in the NL in on-base percentage. Votto led the NL in walks for the third straight season with a club-record 135. ... The Reds drew 2,492,059 fans for 80 home dates, a season record at Great American Ball Park. Mika Zibanejad Jersey . Now, Sarah Burkes legacy will live on in Canadas Sports Hall of Fame. Olympic hockey management team have been making what he called "ghost rosters" since August. After months of negotiations and speculation and a salary arbitration hearing, P.K. Subban is going to be a long-term Montreal Canadien. The restricted free agent defenceman agreed to terms on an eight-year, $72 million contract with the team on Saturday, avoiding a salary arbitration ruling. Subbans average annual value is $9 million. "I think that it sends a strong message to me that they want me here and they appreciate everything Ive done to this point and they believe in me as a player," Subban said on a conference call Saturday evening. "I think Ive always believed that, but obviously in this process and coming out with this result, now everybody else understands it and can see it as well and doesnt have to speculate about how the Montreal Canadiens feel about me." The Canadiens and Subbans camp met for their arbitration hearing on Friday in Toronto. Both sides voiced their arguments to appointed arbitrator Elizabeth Neumeier in a four-hour session. According to reports, the Canadiens submitted their arbitration brief earlier this week with a salary of $5.25 million on a one-year contract, while Subban - represented by agent Don Meehan of Newport Sports - asked for $8.5 million on a one-year term. From the end of Fridays arbitration hearing, Neumeier was given 48 hours to reach her decision. The Canadiens and Subban had until a decision by Neumeier was announced to sign a new contract, otherwise the arbitration contract would have been binding and the two ssides could not negotiate a new deal until January 1. Joe Kocur Jersey. "We are very pleased to have reached a long term agreement with P.K. Subban," Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin said in a statement. "This agreement helps consolidate the future of our team. A key element of our group of young veterans, P.K. plays with a high level of intensity every time he steps onto the ice. Despite his young age, he carries a great deal of experience and brings contagious energy to the team. Defensemen of his level are a rare commodity in the NHL." Subban, who signed a two-year deal worth an average annual value of $2.875 million contract prior to the 2012-2013 season, scored 10 goals and added 43 assists in 82 games with the Canadiens in 2013-14. "I knew that even before the arbitration that something was going to get done," Subban said. "We were always working on a long-term deal. These types of deals dont get done overnight, they dont get done over a few days. It takes months sometimes to get these deals done. Im happy that its done now and everybodys happy about it." He also added five goals and 14 points in 17 playoff games and was part of the Canadian mens Olympic team that won gold in Sochi in February. Subban was awarded the 2013 Norris Trophy as the NHLs top defenceman after notching 11 goals and 27 assists in 42 games. Drafted in the second round (43rd overall) in 2007, Subban has scored 42 goals and 167 assists in 284 career games. The 25-year-old Hawes is in his seventh NBA season.MINNEAPOLIS - The Super Bowl has been secured. Troy Polamalu Jersey . Now the Minnesota Vikings have set their sights on soccer. With construction underway on their new stadium, the Vikings have intensified their pursuit of a Major League Soccer franchise for the NFL facility that team owners designed in hopes of accommodating both sports. Co-owner Mark Wilf met this week with MLS officials, the latest dialogue between the two parties. The Vikings also announced a partnership with promoter Relevent Sports, a major player in the soccer world that is helping sell an international tournament game between two European teams to be played at the University of Minnesota in August. "We like to go to new markets," Revelant Sports CEO Charlie Stillitano said Wednesday. "It seems like wherever we go an MLS team follows, and I think its a good thing." Most MLS teams, 15 of the current 19, play in soccer-specific stadiums for around 20,000 fans in a more intimate setting, but the Vikings have been touting their plan to classily cover the upper bowl of their new venue and reduce capacity from 65,000 to between 20,000 and 25,000. The translucent roof and five pivoting glass doors on the front of the building -- plus seats and suites close to the action -- give the facility a more vibrant feel. "Theres a real opportunity there, and we really have a lot of respect and admiration for the ownership group," MLS Commissioner Don Garber said earlier this year. Atlanta will begin play in 2017 at that citys new retractable roof NFL stadium to be built for the Falcons, whose owner Arthur Blank acquired the soccer club. Plans there will convert the 71,000-seat football facility to a soccer capacity of 29,000 by only using the lower bowl. With the regular season starting in March and the MLS Cup held in December, a roof would be ideal for a team in Minnesota. When Sporting KC won the championship game outside last year, the game-time temperature in Kansas City was 22 degrees with a wind chill of 12 that plummeted as the sun set. The MLS has added five teams in thhe last five years with a goal of 24, and New York City and Orlando will make 21 next season. Greg Lloyd Jersey. Miami has also granted a franchise to former star David Beckham, contingent on a soccer-specific stadium being built there. That only leaves one spot left, and Garber said earlier this year Sacramento, California, San Antonio and San Diego are also under consideration. MLS executive vice-president for communications Dan Courtemanche said theres no specific deadline for awarding the next franchise. "There is no shortage of demand for future MLS expansion teams, and many markets and potential ownership groups have contacted the league office to inquire," he said. Criteria for MLS expansion include a committed local viable ownership group with a comprehensive stadium plan it controls, in an appropriate market attractive to sponsors and television networks with a history of strong fan support. The Twin Cities area currently has a team, Minnesota United FC, in the North American Soccer League, a level below the MLS. "We think our stadium is the perfect fit for MLS. We also think that Minneapolis-St. Paul has tremendous potential for MLS," Vikings vice-president for public affairs and stadium development Lester Bagley said. The legislation authorizing funding for the stadium included a five-year window from the opening during which the Wilfs have exclusive rights to bring an MLS franchise to the venue. That doesnt mean another group couldnt beat them to it at another site. Minnesota United owner Bill McGuire, the former CEO of United Health Group, has been linked with Minnesota Twins owner Jim Pohlad as potential partners in an MLS franchise. But that would require money for and construction of yet another new sports facility in a crowded market. INDIANAPOLIS - Chuck Pagano could blame New England for one of his most bitter football memories. Wayne Gallman Jersey .On the other hand, that loss also opened a new chapter in Paganos life. Now, three years after that stinging 23-20 championship game loss against the Patriots, the former Baltimore Ravens defensive co-ordinator is getting a second chance to earn a Super Bowl ticket at New England — this time as the Indianapolis Colts head coach. We wouldnt be having this discussion right now had things transpired in a different way, Pagano said as Indianapolis prepares for Sundays AFC championship game.He has often contended that if the Ravens won that day — on Lee Evans near-touchdown catch with 27 seconds left or in overtime, if Billy Cundiff had made a 32-yard field goal with 15 seconds to go — that he never would have landed in Indy (13-5).General manager Ryan Grigson didnt go that far this week, though he did recall watching the game and going through some old notes about Pagano almost immediately after Cundiffs kick sailed wide left. Within 24 hours, Grigson had contacted Ravens coach John Harbaugh for permission to interview Pagano, who was still angry. The bitterness was still emanating from him, even when we brought him in, Grigson said. So that game was his loss, but our gain because when he finally came in, it was evident to all of us in that room that this was the right guy.Three days after the game, Pagano accepted his first head coaching job.At first, the outlook looked bleak. The Colts were in the midst of a salary-cap purge and about embarked on one of the most ambitious rebuilding projects. They started by releasing a bevy of fan favourites including the seemingly untouchable Peyton Manning. Pagano now jokes that at one point he looked around his office and asked his wife, Tina, what the heck did we just do?Grigson never asked the same question about a man he viewed as a leader that could pull the best out of his players.Pagano proved to be everything Grigson envisioned and more, on and off the field. He helped convince Reggie Wayne, one of his old college players, to stick around for a hometown discount. He helped recruit defensive tackle Arthur Jones and defensive end Cory Redding, both starters who were in the Ravens locker room that awful day in New England, as free agents. It didnt take much of a push.I know what kind of guy he is, stand-up guy, shoots it straight to you, fun, energetic at practice, expects a lot out of you in the meeting rooms to know your stuff, Redding said, explaining why he left a championship contender to join a team that went 2-14 the year before he came. Knowing the system, knowing him, it was just easy for me to make the decision. It turned out the Colts incredible turnaround was about a lot more than just wins and losses.Three games into Paganos tenure, he was diagnosed with leukemia.Pagano spent 25 days at the IU Health Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis as longtime friends Wayne, Redding and Bruce Arians and new friends such as Robert Mathis, Andrew Luck, Grigson and team owner Jim Irsay rallied the team. After returning home, the treatments continued for two more months. The team responded to Paganos absence by winning nine times, none more electrifying than the second-half comeback against Green Bay when Wayne caught 13 passes for a career high 212 yards and the winning score with 35 seconds left. Irsay and Grigson hand-delivered the game ball to Pagano at the hospital.I cant imagine being anywhere else and having a city and a community embrace somebody they hardly know, Pagano said when he returned to the team complex on Christmas Eve. I just think thats how we roll in this great state, this great city and this great community. And Pagano just kept winning.Indy completed one its nine-game improvement over the 2011 season by winning in Paganos first game back on the sideline. The Colts have won 11 more regular-season games each of the past two seasons, the last two AFC South titles and here playoff games. But those who were with Pagano in Baltimore know thats not good enough yet. That loss lingered the whole off-season, said Jones, who was part of Baltimores 2013 world championship team. It was a tough way to end your year after making it that far. It bothers you.So this week with a second shot, Pagano is taking none at the Patriots.Hes just focused on trying to get the biggest win — and best memory — of his coaching career. Its about the game, its about the team, its about us doing our job, Pagano said Monday. We know how great a team were going to play. Youve got a Hall of Fame coach, a Hall of Fame quarterback and a bunch of great players on both sides of the ball. Its going to be a tall order. Paul Perkins Jersey . - Chelseas 1-0 win at the Etihad, spoiling Manchester Citys perfect home record continues to be the talking point of the week. Geno Smith Jersey . As each game passes (each has played close with the exception of last night) it becomes clearer just how evenly matched these two teams are and how one mistake, or one bad inning, is likely to sway the result. http://www.giantsauthenticshop.com/Youth-Jay-Bromley-Giants-Jersey/ . The 33-year-old defender has spent his entire career at Chelsea, scoring 57 goals in 621 appearances. He regained his regular starting place under Jose Mourinho in the season that ended at the weekend without Chelsea winning a trophy.ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - Both quarterbacks are downplaying Luck vs. Manning III as Andrew Luck and Peyton Manning seek to knock each other out of the playoffs.Theyre 1-1 against each other heading into Sundays tiebreaker that will determine which one gets to play for the AFC championship and which one gets to start thinking about Luck vs. Manning IV next season in Indy.Manning lost his homecoming in 2013 when his emotions and the Colts both got the best of him in Denvers 39-33 defeat that wasnt really that close. He bested his successor in this seasons opener with a trio of TD tosses to Julius Thomas in a 31-24 win that wasnt really that close. If not for Tebowmania, this game might very well have pitted Luck and the Broncos against Manning and the Colts. After a poor start in 2011, the Broncos promoted backup Tim Tebow, and many beleaguered Broncos fans, dreaming of a franchise-changing quarterback, adopted the popular slogan Suck for Luck. The Broncos fell out of the running when Tebow started winning games, guiding Denver to the AFC West title and the playoffs while the Colts wrapped up a 2-14 season with Manning sidelined after neck surgery. The Colts drafted Luck and Manning went to Denver to restart his career. Tebow went to New York for a forgettable season with the Jets and is now a college football analyst for the SEC Network.Since coming to Denver, Manning is 40-12, including 2-2 in the playoffs. Luck is 35-17 and also 2-2 in the playoffs, including a 26-10 win over Cincinnati in the wild-card round last week.Afterward, Luck was asked about facing his predecessor in the playoffs.I think we face the Broncos in a sense. Its not the quarterback versus quarterback thing, he said. Were not on the field at the same time. I have a lot of respect for him, what he does, what he still does is amazing. Hes a stud. Ill worry about the Denver defence, thats what I worry about.Thats pretty much howw Manning sees it, too. Phil Simms Jersey. As hes fond of reminding people, he doesnt really like going down memory lane.He was asked on Wednesday about facing his old team and shrugged it off, noting, Ive been here for three years and this is the third time weve played them.As for the parallels between the passers, Ive never thought much about comparisons, how it affects me, Manning said, and Im sure he doesnt either. However, both quarterbacks realize theyll be linked forever.I guess if youre the first pick of the draft, youre always going to be compared to other first picks. When you play for a team, there are going to be comparisons to other quarterbacks that have played, Manning said.Luck said talking about Manning beats being asked about his beard all the time. Its part of the job I guess, Luck said. I mean honestly, people dont ask me too much about it. Its you guys on the media days, and I would, too. As fans, we love story lines. It seems to be the nature, the sport culture today, so be it.Luck led the league with 40 TD passes, one more than Manning, who threw just three TD passes last month.A year ago, he broke probably every single-season record known to man, Broncos coach John Fox said. It was the style we played and what was best for our team at that point. This year, I think were a little bit different team. Were built different. He was a 12-4 quarterback during the regular season which is I think tied for the best record in football this year.Notes: With S David Bruton and G Orlando Franklin returning from concussions, the Broncos had 100 per cent participation at practice Wednesday for the first time since Oct. 3. LB Brandon Marshall (foot, limited) was the only player who wasnt a full participant.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL___Follow AP Pro Football Writer Arnie Melendrez Stapleton on Twitter: http://twitter.com/arniestapleton Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

CARLSBAD, Calif. Ricky Jean-Francois Jersey . -- Cristie Kerr made a 55-foot par-saving putt after hitting her final approach into the water Saturday at Aviara, giving her a share of the Kia Classic lead with Lizette Salas. Kerr finished with a 2-under 70 to match Salas at 10-under 206. After dropping a stroke on the par-5 17th, Kerr holed out from the edge of the green on the par-4 18th after taking a penalty drop. "Obviously, it was the worst shot I could have hit and then it was the best shot I could have hit," Kerr said. "So go figure, thats golf. It was pretty amazing. It is really one of those moments that you just remember for a lifetime. I was just trying to get it close. Usually thats when those go in." Kerr won the Kingsmill Championship last year for her 16th LPGA Tour title. "I hit two hooks on 17 in a row," Kerr said. "That hole owes me tomorrow. That hole owes me tomorrow, big time." Salas, the former Southern California player from Azusa, had a 69. She birdied the par-5 17th for a share of the lead and matched Kerr with a par on the last. Salas was followed by a spirited gallery wearing "Team Salas" shirts as she tries to win her first LPGA Tour title. "Im just really trying to capitalize on the par 5s," Salas said. "Just staying patient. Thats really my key this week is to stay patient, even though Im in trouble, like on No. 13, where I hit it into the bunker." She got up-and-down for par, and didnt let a bogey on No. 15 -- her first of the tournament -- bring her down. "One bogey out of three days is not a bad thing," Salas said. Dori Carter, the second-round leader after a course-record 64, had a 74 to drop into a tie for third at 8 under with Thailand winner Anna Nordqvist, Ayako Uehara and Shanshan Feng. "Overall I handled my nerves pretty well," Carter said. "It was my first time playing in the final group." Nordqvist and Uehara shot 67, and Feng had a 69. "I started off really solid," Nordqvist said. "I think the back nine is playing a little tougher, but I hung tough and made a silly mistake on 16. But other than that, Im really happy with my round." Third-ranked Stacy Lewis was 7 under after a 73. She had two late bogeys. DIVOTS: One of the tournaments most bizarre shots came Saturday from Yani Tseng on the par 4 No. 18. Tseng sprayed her approach shot left, deep into the bleacher hugging the green. The ball ricocheted around and spit out, landing on the green where Tseng, the 2012 winner, pared the hole. ... Michelle Wie and 16-year-old Lydia Ko were in a group tied for 28th at 3 under. Wie had a 70, and Ko shot 71. Mason Crosby Jersey . The team announced the defensive coordinator will not be offered a contract extension.TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston says Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher was on the money when he said that the Heisman winner might play two more years of college football. Winston told The Associated Press Thursday, thats indeed his plan. The redshirt freshman said he and Fisher -- who said Wednesday while talking about the Seminoles recruiting class that the QB will be in Tallahassee two more years -- have a good relationship, "so whatever he says most likely is true." "Obviously Im a big baseball person, so thats an accurate statement because I plan on playing baseball next season anyway," said Winston, who is expected to be the Florida States closer this season. Many NFL draft experts believe Winston would have been a high first-round pick, possibly No. Aaron Ripkowski Jersey. 1 overall, if he was eligible for this years draft in April. NFL Media draft analyst Gil Brandt, who helped build the Super Bowl-winning Dallas Cowboys as vice-president of player personnel from 1960 to 1989, has said Winston has a bright NFL future. Since the 20 year old will be eligible for the 2015 NFL draft, Fisher said, "Everybody says, well hes going to stay one (more) year and leave. ... I think itll be two." Winston said hes not thinking that far ahead, but since he plans to play baseball next year it would be difficult to also prepare for the NFL combine at the same time. "Obviously, Im not even worried about the draft and stuff like that," Winston said Thursday. "Im worried about winning championships here at Florida State." With rain pelting down and dense fog socked into the Laura Nordic Stadium, the 24-year-old took advantage of the weather he grew up with in Hartsville, Prince Edward Island to grab his second medal of the week. Arendz clocked a time of 30:31.0. "To get a medal is awesome and that was the goal," said Arendz. "There were mistakes out there both in shooting and on the course so it was not a perfect race, but anytime you are on the podium I have to be happy because this is strong field." In a race that puts a premium on shooting, the soft-spoken Canuck rattled off 19 of 20 shots in his four rounds on the range. The miss in this third bout of shooting sent Arendz to do one150-metre penalty loop. "The warm up was tough today, and it was hard to see the targets early (because of the fog)," said Arendz. "It was the same conditions for everyone. I wasnt perfect in shooting so I know there are still mistakes that need to be cleaned up." Arendz was in a dogfight for the gold with two of his closest rivals, Russias Azat Karachurin and Norways Nils-Erik Ulset. Karachurin also missed just one target en route to winning the gold medal with a time of 29:30.0 (0+0+0+1). Missing two shots in his final stop at the range, Ulset hamered his way around the course on the skinny skis to edge Arendz for thhe silver medal with a time of 30:24. Ramon Foster Jersey. 6. "I felt a little tired today, and I just didnt have quite the snap that I had on the first day," added Arendz, who had a lightening quick final lap. "The conditions stayed hard so I was able to put down the power I had. Everything is there. I just need to put it all together. Earlier this week, Arendz became the first Canadian ever to win a silver medal in biathlon at the Paralympic Winter Games. Brian McKeever, guided by his brother, Arendzs coach Robin, were the only other Canadians to win a para-biathlon medal when they captured the bronze in 2006. The two-medal week now makes Arendz the most successful Canadian biathlete at the Paralympics. Recognizing the bright future ahead of him, four years ago the wide-eyed Canadian walked into his first Paralympic Stadium in 2010. His goal was take in the Paralympic experience. This time around things are different. "This time it is strictly business," said Arendz. "I have had four years of experience and feel that I am strong in all race distances. I want to be on the podium every time. It was not a perfect race today. I still havent been perfect shooting, and I dont want to leave Sochi until I do that." Earlier in the day, Ottawas Caroline Bisson suited up in the womens 10-kilometre standing race. Bisson finished in 11th spot with a time of 39:53.9 (2+0+1+0). The Buffalo Sabres and Edmonton Oilers are the two worst teams in the NHL, and the Sabres are certainly deserving of that distinction as theyre mired in the longest losing streak in franchise history. Brian Winters Jersey . Theyll try to prevent it from reaching 13 tonight when they go for a fifth straight win in Edmonton. The Oilers have lost four of six, with the victories coming against teams from the East. Edmonton, 9-7-1 against the opposing conference, returned from the All-Star break with a 2-1 loss to Minnesota on Tuesday. It was one of those games that we could have seen ourselves winning, but we had too many turnovers, said center Boyd Gordon, who tied it in the second period. It was one of those games that we kind of let slip away. Edmonton may be without Taylor Hall for a second straight game after suffering a bone bruise in his leg during practice earlier this week. The left wing has two goals in his last three against Buffalo, and his 29 points tie him with Jordan Eberle and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins for the team lead. Nugent-Hopkins doesnt have a point in three career meetings with the Sabres, while Eberle has one in four. The Sabres will again turn to Jhonas Enroth after he allowed at least four goals for the fourth straight start Tuesday. Enroth has been the starter for seven of the losses during the skid while posting a 4.90 goals-against average. Buffalo (14-31-3) finished last in the league in 2013-14, and its in the same position this season while sitting two points back of the Oilers (12-27-9), who are in the Western Conference cellar. The Sabres spiral to the bottom of the NHL has turned historic. Theyve set a team record with 12 straight losses, and theyve all come in regulation for the longest such skid since Pittsburgh went 13 games in 2003-04. Buffalo is also 0-11-1 in its last 12 on the road, surrendering an average of 4.58 goals while scoring 1.75 per game. That continued in Tuesdays 4-1 loss at Calgary, as Buffalo gave up three goals in the third period while being outshot 15-2 and 31-18 overall. Its frustrating. We played 40 minutes of good hockey and came out in the third and kind of just crumbled, right wing Chris Stewart said. We did have our chances and we just have to bear down. When they got their chances they put them in. That was the difference. Stewart has been a rare bright spot for the Sabres, collecting four points in the last three games while scoring in each of the past two. He had eight goals and two assists in his last six visits to Edmonton while playing with St. Louis. Drew Stafford has eight goals and two assists in seven career games against the Oilers, scoring in a 3-2 home loss Nov. 7 and a 3-1 victory at Rexall Place on March 20 as the Sabres won for the fourth straight time there. This was certainly his evening as he homered in his first at-bat after stirring pregame tribute to him, doubled later in the game and drove in three runs. "I hoped I would go out and play well," said Helton, whos retiring after 17 years with the Rockies. "But there was so much going on before the game. My expectations werent that high. ... To be able to go out and play and be productive, that means a lot to me." For a night, he was vintage Helton again, the one with power (solo shot to right), the ability to go the opposite way (a double off the wall in left) and knack for taking what the pitchers gives him (lifting a fly to left to bring home a run). "Sometimes games pretty much sum up careers," Helton said. He chuckled. "Early in my career, that wouldve been a homer to left, instead of a double," the 40-year-old Helton said. "I hit that ball pretty good. But it was a lot of fun. It really was." The highlight was when his daughters, Tierney and Gentry Grace, ran out to kiss and hug him at first base. That was a complete surprise. So was the horse, a going away present from the Rockies. "I might have to learn to ride a little bit better," said Helton, who has a ranch up the road from the ball park. Will Middlebrooks had quite a game, hitting two homers and driving in a career-high seven RBIs. He hit his third career grand slam and a three-run homer as the Red Sox moved two games ahead of Oakland for the best record in the league and home-field advantage throughout the post-season. David Ortiz hit a two-run double to reach 100 RBIs this season. Jacoby Ellsbury didnt take long to energize the Red Sox lineup as he returned after missing 16 games with a fractured right foot -- he singled, walked and scored twice before being replaced in the fourth. Jake Peavy (12-5) settled down after a shaky start to earn his first win since Aug. 31. He allowed five runs and gave up eight hits in six innings. The Rockies staged quite a pregame show to honour Helton, complete with highlights of his playing days on the video screen. Jeremiah Attaochu Jersey. The team also mowed his number (17) into the outfield grass, along with painting a purple and white "17" along both base lines. Heltons daughter, Tierney, threw out the first pitch as his wife, younger daughter and good friend Peyton Manning watched from the side. Once the game started, Helton began his own show, hitting a fastball from Peavy into the right-field seats in the second. "I think Peavy just did me a favour," Helton said. "Hes a good dude." Not that generous, though. After the game, Helton and his teammates made their way around the field to say farewell to the fans. Several of the Red Sox players lingered on the field, just so they could say so long to Helton. "I just wanted him to know how much I appreciated the way he went about things," Peavy said. "Me and Todd have had many, many matchups like we had tonight, and Im not going to miss him in retirement on the baseball field. "To be the leader he has been and was to these guys, just the class he always competed with, the respect he always showed and always voiced -- I wanted to show that I appreciated that." Throughout the game, former teammates and coaches appeared on the video board to talk about Helton, who holds virtually every offensive record in team history. Cleveland slugger Jason Giambi boasted about him, so did Pittsburgh manager Clint Hurdle, who was in charge of the Rockies when they went to the 2007 World Series and were swept by Boston. Even Manning weighed in on Heltons career. "Thanks for retiring and making me the oldest Denver athlete," said the Broncos star quarterback, who was teammates with Helton on the football team at the University of Tennessee. Helton received plenty of ovations over the course of the night. None as boisterous as when he hit the homer. After crossing home plate, Helton tipped his cap to the crowd before going into the dugout. The roar of the fans brought him back out for another bow. "Certain players have a flair for the dramatic and seemingly that was one tonight," Red Sox manager John Farrell said. NOTES: Red Sox C Jarrod Saltalamacchia had four hits and drove in three runs. ... The Rockies handed out 35,000 Helton bobblehead dolls. ... Rockies C Yorvit Torrealba left the game in the sixth with a bruised right thumb. ... Jhoulys Chacin (14-10) was chased early, surrendering seven runs and nine hits in four innings. TSN. Wilbert Montgomery Jersey .ca presents its latest weekly power rankings for the 2013-14 Barclays Premier League staff. Rankings were weighted evenly between separate lists made by TSN Radio host and soccer analyst Gareth Wheeler as well as TSN.cas soccer editors. 1. Arsenal (Last Week- 2) The Gunners reclaimed the top of the table with a 4-1 victory over Norwich City. Mesut Ozil was strong once again for Arsenal as he took a turn as provider instead of facilitator with two goals in the match. Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere also both scored high quality goals. 2. Chelsea (LW- 3) A David Luiz mistake put Chelsea behind, but a strong response led them to an emphatic 4-1 victory over Cardiff City. Samuel Etoo was allowed to score a controversial goal that turned out to be the winning marker, an Eden Hazard brace and a goal from Oscar provided the rest. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was sent to the stands for berating an official. 3. Manchester City (LW- 4) Sergio Aguero scored twice and David Silva added a late insurance marker as City cruised to a 3-1 victory over West Ham. Alvaro Negredo had another strong game as he continues to build a dangerous partnership with Aguero. The victory moves Manchester City into the top four of the table. 4. Liverpool (LW- 1) Daniel Sturridge rescued a point for Liverpool after he fired home in the 72nd minute for a 2-2 draw against 10-man Newcastle. Steven Gerrard converted a penalty for Newcastles other marker after Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa was shown a red card. 5. Tottenham (LW- 6) Andros Townsend continued his solid play for Spurs as he and Roberto Soldado found the net in a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa. Townsends goal was actually meant to be a cross but ended up slipping past Villa keeper Brad Guzan for the opening marker. He almost added to his tally a few more times before the final whistle but in the end settled for a goal and a strong performance. 6. Southampton (LW- 5) Adam Lallana scored in the 89th minute to give the Saints a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford against Manchester United. Southampton was strong for stretches of the game and in the end walked away with a deserved point from the contest. Keeper Artur Boruc was solid, delivering key saves throughout the game. 7. Everton (LW- Back in the lineup and back on the scoreboard, Steven Pienaar returned after six weeks to give Everton a 2-1 victory over Hull City. Kevin Mirallas opened the scoring in the eighth minute for Everton, Leighton Baines and Sylvain Distin were also strong in the victory. 8. Manchester United (LW- 7) The Champions once again were denied a win at home after a late goal forced them to settle for a 1-1 draw against Southampton. Robin van Persie put his side ahead with a goal in the 26th minute, a lead they held until the 89th when they gave up the equalizer. United is now eighth in the table, eight points out of the top spot. 9. West Bromwich Albion (LW- 11) The Baggies were not able to find a winning marker as they were forced to settle for a 0-0 draw against Stoke. Youssouf Mulumbu was denied a penalty shout that could have decided the game if awarded. Nicolas Anelka was brought into the game after the hour mark but he wasnt able to change his teams fortunes. 10. Newcastle United (LW- 13) A back and forth contest left 10-man Newcastle with a 2-2 draw with Liverpool. Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa was sent off in the 40th minute and though Newcastle took the lead, they werent able to see it through to the end of the game. Yohan Cabaye and Paul Dummett were on target in the draw for Newcastle. 11. Aston Villa (LW- 9) Andreas Weimann came closest to scoring for Villa but thats the best they could do in a 2-0 loss to Tottenham. Christian Benteke came into the game in the 61st minute and also had some influence for the visitors but they werent able to crack the scoreboard. 12. Swansea City- (LW- 14) A dominant home performance led to a 4-0 victory for Swansea over Sunderland. Jonathan De Guzman and Wilfried Bony both scored while the Swans also benefitted from two own goals in the win. 13. Hull City (LW- 10) Yannick Sagbos 30th minute marker was all the Tigers could muster in a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Everton. Injury to insult for Hull was losing Danny Graham to a knee injury, he is expected to miss three-weeks of action. Abdoulaye Faye had two chances to grab at least a point for Hull but was not able to find the back of the net. 14. Fulham (LW- 1 After falling behind 1-0, Pajtim Kasamis wonder goal started a comeback that ended in a 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace. Steve Sidwells goal that stood up as the winner was also a highlight reel marker but the Kasami goal is the one that could be goal of the year. Dimitar Berbatov and Philippe Senderos also scored for Fulham in the win. 15. West Ham United (LW- 12) The Hammers had trouble dealing with the pace and skill of Manchester City, as they lost at home 3-1. Ricardo Vaz Te scored the only goal for West Ham but was also defensively responsible for Sergio Agueros second which turned out to be the winner. West Ham opened the game strong but in the end just didnt have enough to compete. 16. Stoke City (LW- 15) Stephen Ireland wasted the Potters best chance as they split the points with West Brom in a 0-0 draw. Neither team was able to take control of the game as even the possession numbers were split down the middle at the final whistle. Stokes four goals are the lowest total in the Premier League this season. 17. Norwich City (LW- 17) Jonathan Howsons 70th minute marker cast some doubt into the contest but in the end was not nearly enough in a 4-1 loss to Arsenal. Norwich held out against the pressure from their opponents before giving up two goals in five minutes late in the game that sealed their fate. 18. Cardiff City (LW- 16) After taking a 1-0 lead over Chelsea, Cardiff slumped to a 4-1 defeat thanks to defensive mistakes and a controversial referee decision. Keeper David Marshall was bouncing the ball when he was dispossessed by Chelseas Samuel Etoo leading to the winning goal. Cardiff was not able to keep up with the pace of the game over 90 minutes. 19. Crystal Palace (LW- 19) Adrian Mariappa opened the scoring for Palace before they were overrun by Fulham in a 4-1 loss. From that point it was all downhill for the home side as they conceded twice before the half and two more times after the break. 20. Sunderland (LW- 20) After holding firm in the first half, Sunderland had a nightmare second half conceding three-goals in seven minutes as they fell 4-0 to Swansea. Gus Poyets first game in charge of the squad was not one to remember as his team managed only one shot on target. Two of the three goals were credited as own goals and the fourth marker was an 80th minute penalty. Tommy McDonald Jersey . It was the quickest three-goal sequence in Olympic history, with the latter two coming just eight seconds apart. Kessel, Lamoureux and Kendall Coyne all scored twice for the Americans, and Molly Schaus made 10 saves in her Sochi debut. Donnie Jones Jersey . -- Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice tweeted an apparent goodbye after a report about his pending release. http://www.theeaglesshoponline.com/Youth-Brent-Celek-Eagles-Jersey/ .com) - A pair of programs shooting for their 10th win of the season get together at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, as the NC State Wolfpack tangle with 22nd-ranked West Virginia during the challenge round of the Gotham Classic.TORONTO - With a mischievous look glued to his face, Kyle Lowry listened intently from the neighbouring locker as DeMar DeRozan spoke with the media after Sunday nights win. Making faces in the background and chiming in with the occasional one-liner, Lowry attempted to distract his teammate, to little success. DeRozan was coming off another remarkable performance, scoring an efficient 32 points in Torontos impressive 104-98 bounce-back victory over the Warriors. As the Raptors all-star guard was informed that he had just exceeded 30 points for the fourth time in the last six games, Lowry expressed his admiration, shouting "damn". "Whatever I say about Kyle is an understatement," said DeRozan. "We go off him to be honest, man. Thats a hell of a player right there. Hes the reason why Im getting 30 points." Lowry, still lurking next to the scrum, let out a high-pitched and playful "awwww". This exchange was not unusual. Often following a win, the Raptors backcourt duo can be found sharing a laugh in the locker room but the bond theyve developed is especially beneficial after a loss. Once Dwane Casey has finished addressing his team and the players return to their respective lockers, DeRozan and Lowry will usually break off to discuss the game, what went wrong and how to correct it. Their friendship is not put on and the chemistry that has been built this season, on and off the floor, has a lot to do with their individual and collective success. Lowrys fingerprints are all over DeRozans career year, and vice-versa. Together, they are the leaders of a team that genuinely enjoys going to battle for one another and it showed again on Sunday, as the Raptors toppled a formidable foe in the Warriors. Golden State was responsible for the Raptors lowest point of the season, a 27-point collapse in Oakland at the beginning of December. Toronto has lost only two games all year when leading after three quarters. They blew an 18-point fourth quarter advantage that night.. Jerome Brown Jersey. "The way that we lost was definitely tough, we understood that coming into tonight," DeRozan said. "I think all the guys that were here [for it remembers that loss] because it sucks to lose like that." This time, at home and coming off a disappointing triple-overtime defeat, Toronto returned the favour. Trailing by three going into the final frame, the Raptors got 12 points from DeRozan as they outscored Golden State by nine in the fourth and earned their first win over the Warriors in eight tries with Stephen Curry in uniform. The Warriors guards - Curry and Klay Thompson - are the highest scoring backcourt pair in the NBA, with DeRozan and Lowry just behind them. Curry continued to give the Raptors fits, scoring a game-high 34 but Thompson was held to just 12. Playing some of the best basketball of his career over the last couple of weeks, DeRozan needed just 16 shots - hitting 10 - to collect his 32 points, facing an elite wing defender in Andre Iguodala. For the third straight game, the fifth-year guard made at least 12 trips to the free throw line, knocking down 11. Hes also recorded six assists in three consecutive contests, the first time hes done that in his career. "Coming in, I knew he was a good player," said John Salmons, one of DeRozans newest teammates. "I knew he could really score the ball. I knew he was athletic, but from afar, you never know how tough a guy is. He gets the best defensive guy guarding him every night. Guys that are known just for their defence. He still plays at a very high level, so I give him a lot of credit because he does it night in and night out. Thats not easy to do." "Hes growing every single game," said Lowry, who added 13 points and eight assists Sunday. "This season has been a remarkable one for him, hes an all-star. Anything I say about him, vice-versa, its an understatement." More than half of DeRozans 25 career 30-plus point games have come this season (13). PHILADELPHIA -- With the bases loaded, Ryan Howard knew he was going to get a pitch to hit. [url=http://www.authenticbearsnflfan

PHILADELPHIA -- With the bases loaded, Ryan Howard knew he was going to get a pitch to hit. Dick Butkus Jersey . It was just a matter of waiting for the right one. Howard hit a grand slam, capping a five-run rally in the eighth inning that lifted the Philadelphia Phillies over the Houston Astros 6-5 on Thursday night. "I knew going in he was going to bury some sliders and I had to keep off the sliders," Howard said. "Bases loaded, I knew at some point he had to give me something to hit. Hes got to give me a strike." Chris Carter hit two homers and drove in four runs for Houston, which lost its eighth straight in Philadelphia. "This was a pretty tough loss," Astros manager Bo Porter said. Carlos Ruiz and Ben Revere each had two hits as the Phillies completed a three-game sweep. Mario Hollands (2-1) pitched two scoreless innings, and Jonathan Papelbon pitched the ninth for his 27th save in 30 chances. Howard connected with two outs on a full-count pitch from Tony Sipp (2-2). "The matchup was what we wanted," Porter said. "He beat the best guy we have down there." Marc Krauss also homered for Houston. Philadelphia trailed 5-1 entering the eighth after Colin McHugh threw seven strong innings for the Astros. Houston reliever Josh Fields gave up hits to three of the four batters he faced, including Cody Asches RBI single that made it 5-2. Sipp allowed a single to Jimmy Rollins to load the bases with one out. After Chase Utley flied out, Howard homered into the seats in left-centre field. "I hit it pretty flush," Howard said. "I got it pretty good. Off the bat, yeah, I pretty much knew. But that wind started kicking up a little bit. I was happy it was enough." Howard pointed to his family after crossing home plate and then took a curtain call. It was the third homer and 11th RBI in 12 games since manager Ryne Sandberg benched the struggling slugger for three games, July 23-25. Howard has endured boos and some negative reaction to comments he had made regarding the treatment he has received. "Its unfortunate, to be honest with you, that thats what happens," Howard said. "But Im going to go out there and continue to play. I understand what it takes to play the game. It wasnt there early, but I just needed it to be there once and it was there for me, so Im going to try to build off that." Howard also drove in the winning run in the Phillies 2-1, 15-inning win over Houston on Tuesday. Sipp and the Astros werent able to keep him down this week. "I hold myself to a high standard, so I have to make sure it doesnt happen again," Sipp said. Carter hit his second homer of the game and 24th of the season, a two-run drive in the third. He leads the majors with 11 home runs since the start of July. TRAINERS ROOM Astros: Reliever Josh Zeid had the first of two foot operations on his right foot on Wednesday, and the Astros deemed it successful. Zeid will have the same surgery on his left foot in six weeks. The right-hander appeared in 23 games this season with a 6.79 ERA in 20 2/3 innings. He last pitched on July 24. ... Outfielder George Springer will rejoin the Astros in Houston on Friday, but his status will be evaluated prior to the game. He was on pace to be activated from the DL (quadriceps), but his return is in question after he left Wednesdays rehab start at Single-A Quad Cities because of discomfort. Phillies: Cliff Lees season officially is over. That was the indication on Wednesday when his locker was cleaned out, and the Phillies made the announcement on Thursday that Lee wont pitch again in 2014 due to a Grade 2 strain of his left elbow. Lee will require rest but not surgery and will begin a throwing program in September or October with the hope that he will be healthy for spring training. UP NEXT Astros: Houston returns home to host intrastate rival Texas on Friday night in a matchup of the teams with the worst records in the AL West. Astros left-hander Brett Oberholtzer (4-7, 4.17) faces right-hander Miles Mikolas (1-4, 7.29). Oberholtzer, in his fourth stint in the big leagues this season, is 4-1 with a 3.08 ERA in his last eight starts. Phillies: Philadelphia hosts the Mets for the first of four on Friday night. Right-hander A.J. Burnett (6-11, 4.16) opposes New York righty Bartolo Colon (10-9, 4.12) in a meeting of veterans who are a combined 78 years old. Two-time Cy Young winner and eight-time All-Star Roy Halladay also will be on the mound for the Phillies, but in a ceremonial capacity. Halladay will throw out the first pitch as the Phillies welcome back former players on alumni weekend. Travelling MAN Phillies starter Sean OSullivan gave up three homers in six innings. He was summoned from Toledo, Ohio, where the Phillies Triple-A team was playing, after Philadelphia traded pitcher Roberto Hernandez to the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier Thursday. OSullivan had started the second game of a doubleheader on June 28 against Atlanta in his only other big league appearance this season. He was just about to take a nap around 1:00 Thursday afternoon when he got the call to catch a plane to Philadelphia. He arrived at the airport around 5:30, but it took him 30 minutes to take the short trip to the ballpark due to rush-hour traffic, giving him about an hour to get ready for a start. He wasnt deterred by the crazy travel schedule though. "I could have shown up at 7:02 and I would have been ready to go," he said. "Im just happy to be here, happy for the opportunity." TOUGH LUCK McHugh was in line for his first victory since June 3 after allowing one run and five hits, striking out eight, and walking none. He is 0-6 in his last nine starts and has a 1.86 ERA on the road overall. "McHugh did a great job but our bullpen wasnt able to hold it together," Porter said. UNUSUAL DOUBLE PLAY Philadelphias Grady Sizemore was involved in an unusual 6-5-6 double play in the second inning. Asche hit a soft liner behind second base where shortstop Marvin Gonzalez was positioned. Sizemore held up at second base to see if Gonzalez would catch the ball, but when it dropped in front of Gonzalez he was caught in no mans land. Gonzalez stepped on second to force out Carlos Ruiz, who was on first, and then got Sizemore out in a rundown. That twin killing was one of six double plays in the game, four of which were converted by Philadelphia to tie a season high. BASES IN GOOD HANDS The Phillies brought out three recipients of the Purple Heart to change the bases after the third inning. Purple Heart recipients Shawn Lees, Bryon Yoder and Carol Eggert changed the bases while receiving a standing ovation from the crowd of 26,609 fans and applause from the Astros and Phillies players. Pat ODonnell Jersey . Berkman almost left the game last off-season before signing with the Texas Rangers. He then had another injury-plagued season and was limited to 73 games. Dion Sims Jersey . Messis father, Jorge Horacio Messi, is apparently still under investigation for an alleged 4 million euros ($5.3 million) in unpaid taxes from Messis image rights from 2007-09. Messis public relations firm confirmed Spanish media reports that the state prosecutor has asked for Messi to be dropped from the investigation that began in June 2013. http://www.authenticbearsnflfansmall.com/c-38-bears-kyle-long-jersey.aspx . A judge had summoned Clemens and Brian McNamee to federal court in Brooklyn for settlement talks aimed at heading off a trial in the defamation case. McNamees lawyer emerged saying an agreement wasnt likely. "I think this is a case where the lines are deeply drawn in the sand," said attorney Richard Emery. NEW YORK -- The New York Rangers came up short in their first shot at clinching a playoff berth. The Ottawa Senators bounced back from a humbling loss and gave their flickering post-season chances a slight spark. When all was said and done Saturday night, the Senators skated off with a 3-2 win at Madison Square Garden that boosted their hopes and delayed any celebration for the host Rangers. "Were just trying to win games," said Senators captain Jason Spezza, whose second-period goal was the winner. "Were trying to build some momentum, win games and play right. "If were winning games, it will be a more enjoyable end of the season." The Senators shook off a 7-4 loss to Montreal on Friday when a 3-0 lead was wiped out by seven straight goals against them. Ottawa is five points behind the second wild card in the Eastern Conference, but the Senators will have to jump over four teams with only four games left to get into the playoffs. "We wanted to have a response just for the morale of the group," Spezza said. "We know its been a disappointing year, we know that we havent reached expectations, but we still have these games left to play so we want to win them." Robin Lehner made 41 saves and held off a furious late push by the Rangers, who still need one point to secure a playoff spot. They could qualify before their next game if New Jersey loses to Calgary on Monday. The Rangers will host Carolina on Tuesday. "We are still in a good spot," defenceman Dan Girardi said. "Its in our hands to get that win in our next game, and hopefully secure home ice in the first round." New York, with three games remaining, would get that if it keeps its hold on second place in the Metropolitan Division over Philadelphia, which lost at Boston on Saturday. The Flyers trail by four points with five games left. The Rangers, back home after a 2-1-1 Western road trip, started slowly and trailed 2-0 in the first period. Mark Stone and Mika Zibanejad put Ottawa in front, and Spezza made it 3-1 in the second. Mats Zuccarello deflected in two goals in the second to bring the Rangers within a goal each time. Henrik Lundqvist made 31 saves. "I hope our mindset is not to clinch. Its about getting the home advantage," Lundqvist said. "Id rather look ahead than behind me." Ottawa grabbed the lead with 7:15 left in the first off a rush. Clarke McArthur made a paass from the left circle to Stone, who gathered the puck on the inside edge of the right circle and snapped a shot past Lundqvist for his third goal of the season and second in seven games. Kevin White Jersey. Less than a minute later, Carl Hagelin had two prime scoring chances near the left post, but was denied by Lehner and then again on the rebound. Rick Nash, who recorded seven shots, then had a breakaway chance, but his in-close stuff attempt was stopped by Lehner with 2:48 left in the first. "We won and Im happy," Lehner said. "(My teammates) were helping me with rebounds, and I saw most pucks. They had some good chances, but I think we played better." Ottawa turned the puck right around and made it 2-0 just 11 seconds later. Zack Smith won a faceoff in the Rangers zone back to Zibanejad, who worked his way into the slot and ripped a shot by Lundqvist for his 16th of the season and second in two nights. Martin St. Louis nearly got the Rangers on the board, but he was stopped on a partial breakaway by defenceman Erik Karlsson, less than a minute after Lundqvist sticked away Chris Neils hard drive. Rangers defenceman John Moore, in his second game following a six-game absence caused by a concussion, fired a hard, rising shot from the left point that sailed into traffic, struck Zuccarello and nestled in the net to make it 2-1 at 5:25. Ottawa restored its two-goal lead 3:02 later after the Rangers couldnt gain control of the puck. Karlsson ripped a drive from the centre of the blue line that disappeared in a huddle of bodies in the crease, but was then poked in by Spezza, who wasnt overly impressed by his 20th goal. "Its nice to get but its pretty insignificant, especially in a year where you dont make the playoffs," he said. New York cut its deficit back to a goal with 8:05 remaining in the second. Zuccarello swung the puck behind the net and around the boards to Marc Staal, who took a shot from above the left circle that Zuccarello deflected in for his 19th goal. The Rangers hurt their comeback chances in the final moments when they retaliated for what appeared to be a late hit by Neil on Staal. New York was short-handed for 2 minutes of the final 2:47. NOTES: Ottawa is 4-7-3 in the second of back-to-back games this season. ... Spezza has eight 20-goal seasons in the NHL. ... New York defenceman Ryan McDonagh (shoulder) missed his second straight game. Led by home runs from Jake Blackwood and Ray Sadler, the Goldeyes defeated the Lincoln Saltdogs 7-6 Saturday at Haymarket Park. The win moves Winnipegs exhibition record to 3-1 after losing to Lincoln Friday night. The second batter of the game, Blackwood cracked a solo home run to left field to give Winnipeg their first lead of the two-game weekend series at 1-0. After Lincoln fought back with two runs in the bottom of the first inning, the Goldeyes retook the lead in the top of the second inning. With two out, Ryan Pineda and Luis Alen singled. Designated hitter Amos Ramon doubled to score Pineda and Webb followed with a double of his own to plate Alen and Ramon, giving the Goldeyes a 4-2 lead. "They didnt give up on the inning," Goldeyes pitching coach Jamie Vermilyea said on the Jewel 101 post-game show. "A two-out rally hurts the other team, too. You get two quick outs, but youre able to still put three runs on the board. Thats good to see out of your hitters." Winnipeg extended the lead in the top of the fifth inning when Ray Sadler hit a two-out, two-run homme run, putting the Goldeyes up 6-2. Anthony Beauvillier Jersey. Lincoln replied with a run in the fourth inning off Winnipeg starting pitcher Chris Salamida and then tied game 6-6 when they victimized Kyle Anderson for three runs with two out in the sixth inning. The Goldeyes scratched around the game-winning run an inning later when Alen led off the seventh inning with a single and eventually scored on a Blackwood sac fly. After Anderson, Brendan Lafferty, Chris Kissock and Kyle Bellamy allowed a combined two hits in the last three innings. "Thats exactly what we are looking for out of them," Vermilyea said. "If we get our starters to go six or seven innings, we have the guys in the back end of the bullpen that can shut the door." Anderson earned the win for Winnipeg to improve to 1-0 in exhibition play, while Bellamy earned his first save. The five pitchers took the ball for Winnipeg in the game combined for 10 strikeouts. Ramon led Winnipeg with a three-for-four afternoon at the plate. He also scored two runs and drove in a run. Blackwood, Sadler and Webb all had two RBI. The Goldeyes will finish their exhibition schedule with a pair of games against the Kansas City T-Bones on Monday and Tuesday at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.
