LONDON -- The draw for Wimbledon was relatively kind to defending champion Andy Murray. Tee Shirt Olivier Giroud . It was a lot more daunting for top-ranked Rafael Nadal. Murray, who last year became the first British man to win Wimbledon since Fred Perry in 1936, was drawn Friday to open the defence of his title against 104th-ranked David Goffin of Belgium, who will be playing in the main draw of the grass-court tournament for only the third time. Eighth-seeded Milos Raonic of Thornhill, Ont., will face Matthew Ebden of Australia in the first round and could meet Nadal in the quarter-finals, while Vancouvers Vasek Pospisil, the No. 31 seed who is in top-seeded Novak Djokovics section of the draw, faces Dutchman Robin Haase. Frank Dancevic of Niagara Falls, Ont., who lost in the qualifiers but entered the main draw as a lucky loser, opens against No. 29 seed Ivo Karlovic of Croatia. In the womens draw, top-ranked and five-time champion Serena Williams is in the same quarter as French Open champion Maria Sharapova. The two could face each other in the quarterfinals. No. 13 seed Eugenie Bouchard of Westmount, Que., who made the semifinals at the French Open earlier this month, is also in the same section as Williams and Sharapova. She opens against Slovak veteran Daniela Hantuchova while Aleksandra Wozniak of Blainville, Que., takes on 10th-seeded Slovak Dominika Cibulkova. Torontos Sharon Fichman will face Timea Bacsinszky of Switzerland. The third-seeded mens doubles team of Torontos Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia will open against the Italian duo of Andreas Seppi and Paolo Lorenzi. In womens doubles, Gabriela Dabrowski of Ottawa and Alicja Rosolska of Poland will play the 13th-seeded team of Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic and Michaella Krajicek of the Netherlands. Murray, who is seeded third this year, has admitted he does not know how he will cope with the pressure of walking onto Centre Court as the defending champion on Monday. At least he has a relatively smooth path in the draw until the quarterfinals, where he could play seventh-seeded David Ferrer or Grigor Dmitrov, who won last weeks warm-up at Queens Club. Then looms a potential semifinal against top-seeded Novak Djokovic -- a rematch of last years final. "It will be a proud moment to come back as defending champion," said Murray, who is now coached by former Wimbledon champion Amelie Mauresmo after parting ways with Ivan Lendl earlier this season. "I dont know how I will feel, I have no idea. Im sure I will be nervous and feel some pressure, but Ill try to enjoy it. Its a new experience for me." For Nadal, its a lot trickier. The Spaniard, who holds two Wimbledon titles, has not fared well on the grass the past two years, losing in the second round in 2012 and the first round last year. Hes also coming off a loss in his first match at the Halle grass-court tournament. The top-ranked Nadal, who is seeded No. 2, will start against No. 57 Martin Klizan of Slovakia. The Spaniard, who won his ninth French Open title earlier this month, could then face Lukas Rosol, who beat him here two years ago. Nadal, the only man with at least one Grand Slam title in 10 consecutive years, could then be pitted against big-serving Ivo Karlovic in the third round. Waiting in the quarterfinals could be another big hitter -- eighth-seeded Milos Raonic of Canada. Fridays draw put Murray in the top half with Djokovic, who won Wimbledon in 2011. Nadal is in the bottom half with seven-time champion Roger Federer. Federer will start against Paolo Lorenzi of Italy and Djokovic will play his first match against Andrey Golubev of Kazakhstan. Djokovic could meet Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the fourth round and former finalist Tomas Berdych in the last eight. Federer, who has lost before the quarterfinals at three of the last four Slams, might face third-ranked and Davis Cup teammate Stan Wawrinka in an all-Swiss encounter in the quarters. Sharapova, who defeated Serena Williams in the 2004 final at the age of 17 to win her only Wimbledon title and first Grand Slam championship, will open against Samantha Murray. Williams will take on Anna Tatishvili. If Williams and Sharapova get to the quarterfinals, it will set up their 19th career meeting. Williams leads 16-2 and has not lost to her Russian rival since the 2004 WTA Championships. The other potential womens quarterfinals are: Simona Halep vs. Jelena Jankovic, Victoria Azarenka vs. Agnieszka Radwanska, and Petra Kvitova vs. Li Na. Williams is coming off a second-round loss at the French Open, where Sharapova won her fifth major title. After Williams previous early exit at the French Open in 2012, when she lost in the first round, she went on to win Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. Williams could face an intriguing fourth-round match against Bouchard, who has reached the semifinals of both Grand Slams so far this year. In the absence of defending champion Marion Bartoli, who retired less than six weeks after winning her sole Grand Slam title, last years runner-up finalist Sabine Lisicki will open Centre Court play on Tuesday against Julia Glushko. The third-seeded Halep, who achieved a breakthrough performance at the French Open by reaching her first major final, is in the same quarter as former No. 1 Ana Ivanovic. Maillot Olivier Giroud . -- Jake Peavy arrived at Bostons spring training complex on Monday with a large white bandage covering his left index finger, the result of a weekend accident. Maillot Dimitri Payet . NEWCASTLE, England - Ayoze Perez came on at halftime to score the winner for the second straight week as Newcastle beat a lacklustre Liverpool 1-0 Saturday in the Premier League. Puma Bordeaux Rihanna .Moussa Sissoko broke into Liverpools penalty area in the 73rd minute at St. James Park and tried to play in Remy Cabella. Alberto Moreno intercepted the cross but was unable to clear, and Perez lashed the ball in from 10 metres (yards). We were punished for a mistake and that is what cost us the game, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said. We passed the ball well. The options in front of the ball were good but we probably lacked that little bit in the final third of the field. We did not create as much as we would have liked. It was Newcastles second victory against a top club in four days, having eliminated Manchester City from the League Cup on Wednesday. Newcastle defender Steven Taylor praised manager Alan Pardew for responding to intense pressure from supporters to leave the club by inspiring his side to a fourth straight win.Everybody is fully behind him and the main thing is, we keep winning and everybody is happy, Taylor said. Its exciting and obviously we have got a bit of momentum going into the next game but we just keep taking it one game at a time and not getting carried away.It was yet another Liverpool display lacking the energy and creativity it became renowned for last season and another Premier League game where Mario Balotelli failed to find the net for his new club, taking the unwanted streak to eight matches.Papiss Cisse came closest to opening the scoring in the first half for Newcastle on 37 minutes, when Glen Johnson cleared his shot off the line after Simon Mignolet had failed to claim a corner.Three minutes later, Martin Skrtel sent a free header wide from Steven Gerrards corner in Liverpools only key chance in a subdued performance. The 21-year-old Perez replaced Cisse at the interval, and after scoring the winner in Newcastles 2-1 comeback victory at Tottenham last weekend, proved the difference once again for Pardews side.Newcastle could have secured the result four minutes after scoring when Cabella raced through one-on-one against Mignolet, but the Liverpool goalkeeper saved Cabellas low shot with his feet.Rodgers introduced strikers Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert in search of an equalizer, but Liverpool failed to create anything to challenge Tim Krul. (SportsNetwork. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist Hornets Jersey .com) - For a while the Pittsburgh Penguins seemed unfazed by the rash of injuries and illnesses which have beset the club so far this season. However, the hobbled Penguins will try to halt their longest losing streak in nearly three years when they host the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday. Pittsburgh has lost four straight, including the last three in regulation, to post the franchises longest losing streak since a six-game slide from Dec. 29, 2011-Jan. 11, 2012. The Pens have scored a total of seven goals during the 0-3-1 stretch and only managed one goal over the last two outings. Help could be on the way for the Penguins tonight, however, with the potential return of a few players who have recently missed time. Forwards Craig Adams and Beau Bennett and defenseman Christian Ehrhoff are all questionable for tonight after practicing with the team on Tuesday. Adams (undisclosed) and Ehrhoff (lower body) have each missed the last five games, while Bennett has sat out the last 15 tilts with a lower-body issue. Backup goaltender Thomas Greiss, who is one of several Pittsburgh players to contract the mumps this season, also expects to suit up for tonights game after Jeff Zatkoff was sent down to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL on Tuesday morning. Defenseman Paul Martin also skated at Tuesdays practice, but he wont play tonight. I dont know what everyones timeline is, but its nice to see guys back in practice, Pens captain Sidney Crosby told his teams website. But regardless of how many guys and when, you still have to make sure youre playing the right way so when guys do come back, its an easier adjustment for them and youre on the right track. Crosby scored the lone goal for Pittsburgh in its most recent outing, a 3-1 setback Monday in New Jersey. His 11th marker of the season gave the Pens a 1-0 lead with 5:23 left in the first, but the Devils took control of the game with a two-goal second period. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 24-of-27 shots and is expected to start again tonight. He is 12-8-2 with a 2.71 goals against average in his career against the Hurricanes. Carolina, which is second from the bottom in the overall NHL standings, is hoping to take advantage of the Penguins recent struggles tonight when the Hurricanes aim to close December with just their fourth victory of the month. The Canes are 3-9-1 in December and have lost two straight and 10 of their last 12 games. The clubs latest setback came Monday against visiting Montreal, which notched a 3-1 win to spoil the season debut of Jordan Staal. Staal, a former Penguins centerman, played in his first game of the season and was credited with an assist on his brother Erics power-play goal early in the third period. However, that was all the offense Carolina could muster, as the Hurricanes were held to less than two goals for the ninth time in 12 games. Cam Ward only made 16 saves to take the loss in a game that saw the Hurricanes hold a 29-19 edge in shots. We had our chances, we just couldnt put them home, Carolina forward Riley Nash said. Ward, who is 13-6-3 with a 2.38 GAA in his career against Pittsburgh, will start again tonight. Pittsburgh is beginning a four-game homestand tonight, and although the club boasts a 13-5-1 record at Consol Energy Center this season, the Pens have lost their last two home games against Carolina. The home skid includes a 4-2 Hurricanes victory in the Steel City on Nov. 28. That triumph is one of just four road wins this season for Carolina, which is 4-14-2 as the guest. The Pens have won six of the past eight overall meetings against the Panthers. Brian Roberts Jersey . Louis Cardinals have agreed to a one-year contract. Spencer Hawes Hornets Jersey . (SportsNetwork. Air Max 2017 Black .com) - So much for that 3-0 start. The Miami Heat look to get back on track and stop a two-game slide when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday at AmericanAirlines Arena. Miami suffered its second loss in a row Wednesday in a 96-89 setback against the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets ended a 16-game slide to the Heat, who were led by Dwyane Wades 25 points and seven assists. Chris Bosh continued his surge with 23 points and 13 rebounds. The Heat, who got no closer than 88-85, shot 39 percent and made only 4-of-22 3-pointers. The Heat had made at least nine 3-pointers in each of their first four games. It just seemed like we could never get over the hump, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said. We didnt play with great energy. Bosh has scored more than 20 points in every game this season and is currently sixth in the NBA with 24.2 ppg. He has three double-doubles in five games. In injury news for Miami, center Chris Andersen (ribs) and forwards Danny Granger (hamstring) and Udonis Haslem (quadriceps) are questionable versus the Timberwolves. The Timberwolves have alternated results in all five games this season and are coming off a costly 112-103 overtime loss in Orlando Friday night. Wolves guard Ricky Rubio suffered a left ankle injury in the second quarter and X- rays taken were negative. Rubio, who ended with four points and six assists, will be re-evaluated Saturday and was replaced by Mo Williams. He popped it pretty good, Minnesota coach Flip Saunders said. So well have to wait to see where its at tomorrow. Rubio signed a four-year contract extension with Minnesota last week and is currently third in the NBA with 10.0 assists per game. Kevin Martin had 21 points and both Nikola Pekovic and Corey Brewer scored 16 points for Minnesota, which made 43 percent from the field. Rookie Andrew Wiggins had just six points. Anthony Bennett is bothered by a knee issue and is questionable Saturday. The T-Wolves have a tough schedule ahead against Miami, Houston, New Orleans and Dallas on the slate. Minnesota and Miami split a pair of meetings last season with each team holding serve as the visitor. The Heat have won 11 of the last 15 games against the Timberwolves, who are 5-10 in the past 15 trips to Miami. Air Max 2017 Mens . Now he has a complete game. INDIANAPOLIS -- Paul George beat the odds to become an NBA star. Nike Air Force 1 Australia . Hell have to do it all over again to play next season. Two weeks after a gruesome compound fracture of his right leg, George said Friday he remains hopeful that he can make it back onto the court late next season even though its a longshot. George called the injury a "freak accident." "All I can do at this point is sleep, watch TV and lay down, so its tough for me. Im used to being active, lifting weights, being in the gym," George said as his mother and father watched his news conference from a few feet away. "At the same time, I want to be part of this team. The last thing I want to do is feel like Im not part of this team because Im out. Im holding out hope, just personally, because I want to be back." George has thrived in the underdog role, going from mostly overlooked prep recruit to Fresno State star. He was impressive enough in college to catch the attention of Pacers president of basketball operations Larry Bird, who took him No. 10 overall in 2010. After his third season in the league, George was named the NBAs Most Improved Player. Hes led the Pacers in scoring, played in the All-Star Game and made the leagues all-defensive team each of the past two seasons. Paul was injured Aug. 1 during a U.S. national team scrimmage in Las Vegas when he his right leg collided with the basketball stanchion, snapping it in two. "When I looked down and saw bone sticking out, I knew it was bad," George said, later describing the feeling as having his leg lit on fire. "Id felt pain before, but I have never felt pain like that. So I knew it was bad." George said he has watched the replay once and wont watch it again. Doctors have told the 24-year-old star that he is likely to make a full recovery, though it will take a full year. Bird and coach Frank Vogel said earlier this week they did not plan to have George in 2014-15. George said he thinks he can change those plans -- if he can avoid risking another injury. George said doctors placed pins in his knee and ankle to stabilize a rod that was inserted into the injured leg, which was broken in two places. Three days later, he returned to his suburban Indianapolis home where is now recuperating in a cast and hobbling around on crutches. While no firm timetable has been set for his return, George said he could begin strengthening his right knee as early as next week. Thats little consolation to the workaholic. "This was going to be a huge year for me, so for me not to be out there at the beginning, I do feel a little guilty about that," George said. "It hurts." The immediate question that went through Georges mind was whether he did something wrong on the play. Some have questioned whether the NBAs highest-paid stars, such as George, should risk injury while representing their country or whether the stanchion was too close to the court. George didnt offer an opinion about the stanchion but did make one thing clear: He wants to play for the 2016 Olympic Team. "I think its real unfair, the criticism they are getting because it was a freak accident. No ones really been injured since USA Basketball has been here," George said. "It was a freak accident. Freak accidents happen." George thanked the national team, players around the league, those within the Pacers organizations and fans for their outpouring of support. A small contingent of Georges fan club waited outside Bankers Life Fieldhouse to catch a glimpse of him pulling into the arenas underground garage. A handful of teammates also showed up at the news conference. George recently received clearance from the NBA to change his number from 24 to 13, giving him the much more marketable moniker of PG-13. To do that, he splurged for about 600 of his own jerseys, which he donated to his high school and a local Boys & Girls Club near his hometown of Palmdale, California. Otherwise, hes not planning to change a thing. "I never play the game with any hesitation, thats probably why Im in this cast," George said, drawing laughter. "Im not looking at this as something negative for my career. Its something I can overcome and it will be a great opportunity to sit back and watch and learn the game." And rest hardly led to rust for the two-time defending NBA champions. PARIS -- With dramatic first and last tries, France stole a 26-24 win over England on Saturday to restore some Six Nations confidence in a team shaken by last years wooden spoon embarrassment. Right winger Yoann Huget scored the first try after 30 seconds and, after England rallied from 16-3 down to lead 24-19 with four minutes left, centre Gael Fickou collected a pass from fellow substitute Dimitri Szarzewski after the hooker made a superb run down the left. Fickou cut inside his marker and ran round behind the posts. Maxime Machenaud kicked the extras. "We were the first to shoot and the last to shoot," France coach Philippe Saint-Andre said. "In the second half we really struggled physically and missed a lot of tackles. But the watchword was to never ease up. In terms of confidence and for 2014 its a very important win. We caused the English quite a few problems in the first half. But they attacked us through the middle and made it very hard for us in that zone." With its third win in its last 12 tests, France should avert the wooden spoon with Italy next up at home. "Last year we had a lot of setbacks, but thats also what unites a team," captain Pascal Pape said. "Its been a long time since Ive seen the players smiling like that in the dressing room. So lets savour it tonight and go back to work tomorrow." England, runner-up in the last two Six Nations, travels to Scotland next weekend. "Having got ourselves back in the game, to lose from that position was very disappointing," England coach Stuart Lancaster said. "It was a great performance in lots of ways. Once we get away from the initial disappointment well take a lot of positives from the game." Lancaster gave "credit to the French team for how they created the opportunity from inside their own half" but underlined his teams need to limit mistakes. "Games are never won or lost in one moment," he said. "Everything matters at this level." England had punished weak defending to go within minutes of an improbable victory. No. 8 Billy Vunipola was the heaviest player on the pitch and Englands most dangerous runner, setting up bothh tries for fullback Mike Brown and outside centre Luther Burrell on debut. Nike Air Max 90 Womens Australia. "There were five of our pack making their first starts here in France -- the youngest pack in the championship," Lancaster said. "I think weve learnt a lot from this." Huget scored two tries for France in the first half. Both sides are in somewhat of a rebuilding process. Saint-Andre surprisingly chose scrumhalf Jules Plisson alongside flyhalf Jean-Marc Doussain -- both are 22 and had never played together -- while Alexandre Flanquart won only his third cap. Winger Jack Nowell also made his England debut. "We took the challenge of showing these young players the highest level and, believe me, they experienced it," Saint-Andre said. Huget brought Stade de France to its feet in the first minute. Plissons kick ahead deflected into the path of Huget, who scooped it up and ran into the right corner for an unconverted score. England charged straight back and, following a period of pressure, England flyhalf Owen Farrell nailed a difficult kick from wide right to make it 5-3. But Doussain slotted over from close range for 8-3. But it was on the other flank where England struggled, and after a turnover, Doussain kicked ahead. The bounce favoured Huget and his pace took him clear for his fifth international try. Doussain missed the conversion but made amends with a more straightforward penalty kick for 16-3. Moments before the interval, Brown wriggled his way past three defenders and into the left corner. France was up 16-8 at halftime. The French led at halftime last year at Twickenham before losing 23-13, but this time held on. After Farrell made it 16-11 with a penalty, he exquisitely timed a pass for Vunipola to burst through the midfield, and with French players hanging off him he offloaded for Burrell to sprint in for a converted score. Cares dropped goal made it 21-16. Replacement scrumhalf Machenaud slotted a penalty, but Alex Goode responded shortly after to leave France needing some magic. England left winger Jonny May left the field in the second half with a broken nose, but after Fickous late try it was a case of broken English hearts. MIAMI - Cleveland coach David Blatt can relate to what Anderson Varejao is going through, because he also once went through the process of rehabilitating a torn Achilles. Nike Free 4.0 V2 .A tough injury, Blatt said.Tough would also describe the process that awaits the Cavaliers, who will be without their starting centre and one of LeBron James closest confidants for the remainder of the season. Varejao was injured in Clevelands win over Minnesota on Tuesday night, falling to the court in obvious pain after positioning himself for a rebound in the third quarter. And on Wednesday, the Cavs worst fears were officially confirmed. Its a little tough talk about the impact of not having him, because this is the first game that we dont, Blatt said. But I will say that obviously, were going to miss Andy. Hes a big part of our team as a player, as a personality. Thats part of sport and part of basketball, certainly. You have to deal with injuries and with guys going down.Kevin Love was listed as the starter in Varejaos spot Thursday, when the Cavaliers visited the Miami Heat in James return to the arena he called home for the past four seasons. Varejaos departure will also mean more minutes for Tristan Thompson — who made 189 consecutive starts for Cleveland before this season began — and probably down low for James as well.Regardless, it will challenge Clevelands depth, and the expectation is that the Cavaliers will seek to add another big man before long.We will approach it initially on a game-to-game basis, maybe more matchup-oriented, Blatt said. Well look down the line to see what we can do on a more permanent basis and guys will step up.Varejao averaged 9.8 points and 6.5 rebounds this season. He also shot just under 56 per cent, his best since the 2009-10 season. Not coincidentally, that was the most recent season where he and James were Cleveland teammates.James has long raved about what Varejao means to the Cavaliers on the court and off, and the four-time MVP knows losing the wild-haired Brazilian is a blow to Clevelands championship hopes. Its tough, James said. It hurts our team. More than anything its just tough on him. ... Hes a great friend of mine and I hate the fact that his season is taken away like that. This is the fourth time in the last five years that Varejao will miss more than half the Cavaliers games. He played in 76 out of a possible 230 games in a three-season stretch between 2010-11 and 2012-13 because of an array of injuries, then missed 17 more games last season.Varejao will have surgery in the coming days, after which his rehabilitation schedule and potential timetable for a return will be determined. Typically, the return time from such an injury is around nine months, which means Varejao — who signed an extension earlier this year that could keep him in Cleveland through 2017-18 — should be ready for the start of next season.Hes a big part, a huge part, of our success, James said. Its going to be hard to replace him. Nike Free 5.0 Womens Sale . Despite sitting last in the Western Conference, the Edmonton Oilers enter Thursdays tilt with the Buffalo Sabres on a two-game winning streak and are coming off Tuesdays 5-1 home victory over Nashville. Nike Roshe Run Heren . Catch the game on TSN starting at 9:30pm et/6:30pm pt. Jordan Eberle had two goals and an assist to lead the Oilers in the rout of the Predators. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had a goal and two assists while Sam Gagner also scored for Edmonton. Eberle is also ailing, tending to a knee injury sustained in Tuesdays victory and will sit out tonights contest. Nail Yakupov has been sidelined by a sore ankle and will also miss tonights action. Gagner has 10 points in his last 11 games and recently told the Oilers official web site how hes playing with more confidence since the Olympic break. "Im feeling better, Im feeling more confident," Gagner said. "Im obviously not happy with how my year has gone. I think the Olympic break was good for me to just kind of refocus and Im feeling better and our team is playing a lot better" All told, the 24-year-old Gagner has eight goals and 25 assists in 56 games in 2013-14 after recording 38 points (14 goals, 24 assists) in 48 tilts last season. Taylor Hall added the other goal for the Oilers and Viktor Fasth stopped 28 shots in the win. Edmonton improved to 13-16-3 at Rexall Place this season and is playing the second test of a six-game homestand tonight. The Oilers halted a six-game losing streak in the series with the Sabres by recording a 3-2 win in Buffalo on Feb. 3. Ilya Bryzgalov made 42 saves to help Edmonton register that regulation victory, but the goaltender has since been traded to Minnesota. Ben Scrivens gets the call between the pipes for the Oilers this evening. Meanwhile for the Sabres, it has already been a trying season. The club will try to avoid its longest losing streak of this difficult campaign when the Sabres visit the Edmonton Oilers at Rexall Place. Buffalo is at the bottom of the NHL standings with just 46 points. The next- worst team is the Oilers, but Edmonton is still 13 points ahead of the lowly Sabres, who have lost seven straight in regulation. The teams current skid matches a season-opening 0-6-1 stretch from Oct. 2-14 for the longest winless drought of 2013-14. Buffalo has managed just six goals over the course of its present slide. Buffalo began a five-game road trip Tuesday night in Calgary and dropped a 3-1 decision to the Flames. Mike Cammalleri and Paul Byron scored in the third period to help Calgary pull away for the win at the Saddledome. Drew Stafford scored the lone goal for the Sabres, who have lost four straight on the road and are 7-22-3 as the guest this season. Nathan Lieuwen made his first NHL start and turned aside 23 shots in the loss. Lieuwen was recalled from Buffalos AHL affiliate in Rochester on Sunday and made his NHL debut later that day in a 2-0 loss to Montreal after Jhonas Enroth left 36 minutes in with a lower-body injury. The 22-year-old Lieuwen was playing for the fourth time in five days after starting games for Rochester on Friday and Saturday. "I thought he (Lieuwen) played well," Sabres interim head coach Ted Nolan said. "The second goal we kind of backed right into him and we lost our positioning. They got a good shot and tipped it in. Overall I thought he played well." With Enroth and fellow goaltender Michal Neuvirth expected to miss tonights game with injuries, Matt Hackett will get the call in net. Hackett, 24, has seen action in 13 NHL games, but last played at this level when he started for Minnesota at Dallas on March 29 of last season and he surrendered five goals on 33 shots to take the loss in that game. Hackett is 3-7-0 with a 2.64 goals against average over his 13 career outings. Buffalo still carries a three-game road winning streak in this series into Thursdays game. Nike Air Max 90 Dames Zwart . Mike Babcock has turned to the Montreal Canadiens goalie over Roberto Luongo, who backed Canada to a gold medal in Vancouver in 2010, for Canadas final preliminary round game against the ailing Finns.SEATTLE -- Every chance he got during the week, Percy Harvin got into Pete Carrolls ear and asked for a chance to not just make his awaited debut in Seattle, but do it both as a wide receiver and a kick returner. And every time Harvin pleaded, Carroll said no. With less than a minute left in the first half, Carroll relented and gave Harvin a shot at the kind of game-changing play the Seahawks waited an extra three months to finally see. Against his former team, Harvin made certain to deliver in a 41-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. "It was something I wanted real bad and not just because I wanted to make a big play, but Im a kick returner so I wanted to get back there and get a feel for the kick returning again," Harvin said. "It was a chance to make a big play and he came to me and I was able to make it." Harvins 58-yard kickoff return late in the first half set up Russell Wilsons 19-yard touchdown pass to Doug Baldwin with 10 seconds left in the second quarter, and the Seahawks rolled to their franchise-record 13th straight home win. Harvin made his highly anticipated Seattle debut after missing the first 10 weeks of the regular season following hip surgery. While he was mostly a decoy offensively, he provided two of the biggest plays as the Seahawks improved to 10-1 and stayed on top of the NFC heading into their bye week. Harvin pulled in a juggling third-down conversion for 17 yards in the second quarter that led to Marshawn Lynchs second TD run and gave Seattle the lead for good. Then came his kickoff return at the end of the half that helped give the Seahawks take a 24-13 lead at the break. Harvins two touches were athletic and impressive, and a brief peek at what the best team in the NFC could be adding for their final five games. "The glimpse of us having the firepower all over the field, thats what weve been waiting on this whole season," Baldwin said. After the game, Harvin revealed the hip surgery wasnt his only procedure in the past year. Harvin had an appendectomy late last fall and a tumour was discovered in the appendix. "Hes an extraordinary football player, but hes a better competitor," Carroll said. "Thats what we love about him." Wilson and Lynch wouldnt let Harvins debut take the entire spotlight. Wilson had two touchdown passes, each showing off his unique skills, while Lynch hadd two touchdowns running and one receiving. Nike Roshe Run Dames Sale. . Coming off consecutive games rushing for more than 100 yards, Lynch was held to 54 yards on 17 carries. Wilson was done early in the fourth quarter after completing 13 of 18 passes for 230 yards and a career-best passer rating of 151.4. His TD pass to Baldwin at the end of the half was dropped into a tiny throwing window just over the outstretched arm of Minnesotas Xavier Rhodes. Then he added a second TD in the fourth quarter when he backhanded a pass between two Vikings defensive linemen to a wide-open Lynch for a 6-yard TD. "A little shortstop, second baseman flip. A double play," Wilson said. Seattle put the game away with a pair of fourth-quarter turnovers on poor decisions by Minnesota QB Christian Ponder. He threw behind Adrian Peterson and was intercepted by Bobby Wagner. Three passes later, Ponder threw into the belly of Walter Thurmond and he returned the interception 29 yards for his first career touchdown. Ponder finished 13 of 22 for 129 yards, one TD and a lost fumble. Peterson was held to 65 yards on 21 carries after running for 182 against Seattle last year. "Defence played well. As an offence, specifically me, we need more," Ponder said. Harvins big moment was the result of Seattle being aggressive at the end of the first half. Seattle used a timeout and Joe Webbs poor decision to step out of bounds to force Blair Walshs 45-yarder to cut the lead to 17-13 with 48 seconds left in the half. Catching the ensuing kickoff 4 yards deep in the end zone, Harvin sprinted untouched through the middle of the Vikings coverage before Marcus Sherels pulled him down from behind at the Minnesota 46. From there, it took Wilson only 36 seconds to find the end zone. After a run by Robert Turbin and completions of 12 and 10 yards ate up Seattles final two timeouts, Wilson dropped a perfect pass to Baldwin and just beyond the reach of Rhodes for a 24-13 halftime lead. NOTES: Harvin was given a chance to return after Jermaine Kearse suffered a concussion in the first half. He was Seattles only injury, Carroll said. ... Seattle also welcomed back starting offensive tackles Breno Giacomini and Russell Okung for first time since September. ... Minnesota WR Greg Jennings (Achilles) was a surprise inactive after being listed as probable. ARLINGTON, Texas -- Cincinnati Reds starter Johnny Cueto is on the disabled list for the third time this season because of issues with his right lat muscle. Saucony Shadow Original 2108 . The Reds put their opening day starter on the DL again Saturday, a day after he left the series opener at Texas because of tightness in his upper back. Cueto threw only 29 pitches and came out one batter into the second inning Friday night. "Its very disheartening," manager Dusty Baker said Saturday. "So close to being himself. Its hard. I just hope we can come up with a solution." Cueto returned to Cincinnati on Saturday to be examined by Reds medical director Dr. Timothy Kremchek. Cincinnati recalled right-hander Logan Ondrusek from Triple-A Louisville. Cueto (4-2, 3.33 ERA) was on the DL from April 15 to May 19 with a strained right lat. He missed the first half of June with what was called a strained right shoulder, though it was related to the lat problem. "I dont know how to explain what is happening," Cueto said through a translator after Friday nights game. "Its the third time its happened. I just want to keep working and hope it will get better." Baker said left-hander Tony Cingrani (3-0, 3.42), who took over for Cueto and went four innings Friday night, will again fill Cuetos rotation spot. That next comes up Wednesday against San Francisco. In Game 1 of the National League division series last season against San Francisco, Cueto left after only eight pitches because of a strained right oblique and didnt pitch again in the post-season. But he was healthy throughout spring training. Cueto, a 19-game winner last season, made three starts in April before going on the DL for the first time. He came back to make three more starts before another DL stint, and was making his third start since returning again when came out Friday night. On at least one pitch in the first inning to Adrian Beltre, who had an RBI single to put the Rangers ahead to stay in a 4-0 victory, Cueto clearly grimaced. Though he wasnt feeling right, Cueto spoke to pitching coach Bryan Price after the first inning and said he wanted to keep pitching. Cueto thought maybe hed loosen up and the discomfort would go away. But after Cueto threw a 1-2 fastball that Mitch Moreland fouled off leading off the second, he was done for the night. "Your heart sort of sinks when you go out there and you know the news youre about to get. See the look on his face," Baker said Saturday. "Especially a guy that loves to pitch like that. ... He lives for it." Even before Baker got to the mound Friday night, Cueto had already put the ball in catcher Devin Mesoracos mitt. Asked if his twisting motion has contributed to the issues with his lat muscle, Cueto said he didnt think his mechanics had anything to do with it. "I always discuss it with the pitching coach, and he said I dont have to change," Cueto said. "If its anything that would hurt with my mechanics it would be my oblique area." Good thing, because it didnt happen. Not even close. Still, the new general manager isnt panicking despite losing six players in free agency, including defencemen Brooks Orpik and Matt Niskanen, and talented winger Jussi Jokinen. Less than a month into the job, Rutherford is taking a pragmatic approach to replenishing the talent around stars Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. The process began Tuesday when the Penguins signed defenceman Christian Ehrhoff, forward Blake Comeau and goaltender Thomas Greiss to one-year deals. The team also retained forward Marcel Goc. Hardly the kind of splashy signings made elsewhere -- Washington spent $67.5 million alone to bring in Orpik and Niskanen -- but Rutherford isnt complaining. "We dont necessarily have to have our team all set for a playoff run in September," he said. Ehrhoff came onto the market over the weekend after the Buffalo Sabres bought out the final seven seasons his 10-year contract. The 31-year-old will make $4 million next season in Pittsburgh. The German-born Ehrhoff has 69 goals and 313 points in 692 games, and Rutherford believes Ehrhoffs skill set will fit in well under new coach Mike Johnston. "He plays a lot of minutes, 23-24 a game, can play right or left defence, power play, penalty kill," Rutherford said. "Hes in great shape and a great team guy. He can really skate and with the kind of team we have, having a guy back there that can skate and move the puck is important." Rutherford is confident the young defencemen in Pittsburghs minor league system will give the Penguins a solid blue linne even without Orpik -- the longest-tenured defenceman in team history -- and Niskanen, who cashed in after a career year. Puma Rihanna Blu. Still, Rutherford didnt waste a chance to grab Ehrhoff despite the shortness of the deal. "He loved the opportunity to come with the Penguins," Rutherford said. "He just felt that, lets give it a one-year try with a good team and have a chance to win and then well look at it at the end of the season." Comeau provides depth as a third or fourth line forward. The 28-year-old had five goals and 11 assists in 61 games for the Columbus Blue Jackets last season. Greiss, who went 10-8-5 with a 2.29 goals-against average for Phoenix in 2013-14, will compete with Jeff Zatkoff for the backup spot behind Marc-Andre Fleury. The signings give the Penguins depth, but also leave plenty to address going forward, including who is going to play with Malkin after the departure of Jokinen and James Neal. The Penguins traded Neal to Nashville for Patric Hornqvist and Nick Spaling on Friday, and Jokinen left on Tuesday to sign a four-year deal with the Florida Panthers. Hornqvist is a candidate to fill out a top six spot, and the return of Pascal Dupuis from a knee injury and Beau Bennett from a wrist injury should give the Penguins some options. Rutherford didnt rule out a run at free agent forward Nikolai Kulemin -- who happens to be a good friend of Malkins -- but isnt sure the money will work. "Theres always a chance but it would take someone getting very, very creative to figure out how that contract fits into our cap," Rutherford said. ------ AP Sports Writer John Wawrow in Buffalo, NY contributed to this report. This week the 2013/14 Premier League season comes to a close. Nike Roshe Run Nere Uomo . Here at TSN.ca we will take a look back at the season by bringing together a panel of experts to help pick the best 50 players of the season. This list is based purely on their performances this season. It is not a list of who we think the best 50 players in the league are. Fourteen members were asked to take part (panel below) and submit their top 20 players of the season. Their list was then placed into a scoring system and then the totals determined the overall positions in the top 50. Each day this week we will release the list in 10s. The sport is very much about opinions, so please feel free to write your own list in the comments below. You can read part one of the list here. You can read part two of the list here. You can read part three of the list here. Here is how the Top 20 were scored – 1st place – 30pts; 2nd place – 25; 3rd place – 22; 4th place – 20; 5th place – 18; 6th place – 17; 7th place – 15; 8th place – 14; 9th place – 13; 10th place – 12; 11th place – 10; 12th place – 9; 13th place – 8; 14th place – 7; 15th place – 6; 16th place – 5; 17th place – 4; 18th place – 3; 19th place – 2; 20th place – 1. The Panel Six members of TSNs soccer team were on the panel and were joined by eight other members from around the world who were asked to represent their specific field. Joining our staff members were two outstanding statistical experts, Jonny Blain and Simon Gleave, two brilliant reporters/commentators covering the league, Stewart Coggin and Paul Sarahs and two extremely knowledgeable tactics writers, Tim Palmer and Ritesh from the False9 website and a man who covers the development side of the league like no other, Aidan from the England Youth website. In addition, also involved was arguably one of the knowledgeable writers covering the league in the world, Michael Cox, aka Zonal Marking. Christian Eriksen (Tottenham) – We now know that Daniel Levy, Franco Baldini and Andre Villas-Boas didnt see eye-to-eye and we also know a lot of the money, from the Gareth Bale sale, that they collectively spent, may well have better served by being set on fire for a spectacular bonfire in the middle of White Hart Lane. Thankfully, some of their purchases worked out and none better than the new Great Dane, Eriksen. The 22-year-old is on a path to world-class stardom and still managed to perform at a consistent high level, whichever role he was asked to do under whichever manager was in charge. Few in the league can muster a better delivery from a set-piece or make a key pass in the final third. 19. Fernandinho (Manchester City) – The Premier League has not always been good to Brazilians. Sure, Juninho was wonderful for Middlesbrough in the 90s, but for every good Brazilian it seemed five others disappointed. Afonso Alves, anyone? Kleberson? Jo? Robinho? Things, however, are changing with Paulinho, David Luiz, Oscar, Ramires, Willian and Philippe Coutinho all shining in parts of this campaign. Citys Fernandinho, though, was the best of them all this season. Excellent with Shakhtar Donetsk, City identified him immediately as a massive upgrade to Gareth Barry last summer and how right they were. There are few smarter players in the league and the Brazilians discipline allowed Yaya Toure to blossom even more. 18. Leighton Baines (Everton) – The English left back never has a bad game for Roberto Martinezs men and has become one of the faces of the Premier League internationally. It is a remarkable rise to fame for a player who seems uninterested in the bright lights. Baines, regularly linked with a move to Manchester United under David Moyes, might just be the perfect fit for Everton, who continued to evolve under their new boss and didnt use Baines as much as an attacking threat in the final third as in the past (his successful crosses were down over one per game this season compared to last). A shoo-in for a spot on the plane to Brazil for Roy Hodgson. 17. Jay Rodriguez (Southampton) – Many Premier League watchers scoffed when Southampton, recently promoted to the top flight, spent in excess of seven million pounds on a Spanish sounding Englishman from Burnley. ‘J-Rod showed flashes of talent last season, scoring exceptional goals against United and Chelsea, but this season made that price look like a bargain. The Saints were a treat to watch with their attacking flexibility this season, but all of that needed an end product and Rodriguez provided it with 15 league goals before his season, and World Cup chances, ended with a cruciate injury. Few are better in one-on-one situations with the goalkeeper - a real measure of a strikers credentials. 16. Luke Shaw (Southampton) – Rodriguez is likely to stay at St Marys for some time, but his teammate, left back Shaw, may play his final game for the club this Sunday. It will be difficult for the club to turn down large offers from Premier League giants and the 18-year-old will probably be wearing the blue of Chelsea or the red of Manchester United next season. English football has waited for a talent, with a composed left foot, like this for some time. It is remarkable to think Shaw was still in high school two years ago as no stage has fazed him yet at the highest level of English football. 15. Wayne Rooney (Man Utd) – The stats will show that Rooney scored 17 goals and, with 10 assists, contributed directly to 27 league goals in 27 starts (heading into the final weekend), but it was far from a great season for the forward. For a player labeled by most as ‘world class, Rooney hasnt taken over enough games and questions still exist as to what is best position is. A liability defensively when played as a number-10 against top teams, Rooney can thrive when placed directly up front, but with Robin van Persie that will not always happen. United paid handsomely to keep him long-term, as they should, seeing that they need a lot more players close to his talent, but the new manager needs to work on Rooneys consistency and see how he fits best with van Persie and Juan Mata. 14. Jordan Henderson (Liverpool) – Harshly considered a flop after making a big money move to Anfield at a young age, the English midfielder blossomed on the big stage this season, leading Liverpools intelligent press with his fantastic energy and workrate. After spending almost 20 million pounds on a 20-year-old with much to learn, it looked like Henderson may be cast aside with other big money flops like Stewart Downing and Andy Carroll. Instead, Brendan Rodgers saw something Kenny Dalglish didnt and the rest is history. Henderson was badly missed while he was suspended down the stretch. 13. Gary Cahill (Chelsea) – This season Cahill took his game to another level. As the league continues to get more and more international, fewer English players are relied upon to play in big games. In just over two years at Stamford Bridge, Cahill has played under four Chelsea managers and has been one of the few players who has been trusted by all of them. A true big game performer, after stand-out performances in past European finals, the 28-year-old was exceptional for Jose Mourinho this season. Now an integral part of Roy Hodgsons squad for Brazil. 12. John Terry (Chelsea) – Cahill and John Terry were easily the best defensive centre-back partnership this season. Arsenals duo had a good season, but no one came close to the English pair. Terry will tell anyone who is willing to listen just how much he loves Mourinho and it is not hard to understand why. Last season, under Rafa Benitez, the Chelsea skipper spent much of the campaign on the bench but Mourinhos style, on and off the pitch, has revitalized Terrys career. 11. Raheem Sterling (Liverpool) – Once the kid made famous for being shouted at by his manager on the ‘Being: Liverpool documentary series, Sterling is now a potential star in the Premier League. Last season he started well, but tired late and Brendan Rodgers rested his long-term project. This season, it was the opposite with Rodgers taking his time to unleash the 19-year-old until his performances were so good that the manager could no longer keep him out of the side. Had a number of outstanding games, but the world stood and took notice when he played at the top of a midfield diamond at home to Man City and was the games best player. Sterling has a real appreciation for space, but can terrify opposing defenders with intelligent, fast runs, as well. Nike Roshe Two Flyknit Uomo . More importantly, he is trying to show his young teammates the Colorado are still post-season contenders. He hopes winning a series at home was a fresh start. Nike Roshe One Uomo . According to Tony Barrett of The Times, the Liverpool captain is set to announce that he will leave the club at the end of the 2014-15 season. http://www.nikeroshetwoflyknit.it/nike-roshe-run-nere.html . 1. CAVALIERS: At 19-20, theyre a mess. Watched the game Tuesday night vs. Phoenix and their defence was poor (107 points and 52 per cent for Suns). Where is the high level play from Kyrie Irving and LeBron James (13 turnovers!)? Kevin Love looks like a man thats wondering what he got himself into.ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Teemu Selanne is ready for his last skate. Selanne is returning to the Anaheim Ducks for his 21st and final NHL season, the 43-year-old Finnish forward announced Friday. After spending most of the summer contemplating his future, he released a humorous video on YouTube confirming hell be back for one more run at another Stanley Cup title. He also hopes to play for Finland in his record sixth Olympics in Sochi in February. Selanne agreed to a one-year deal worth $2 million -- and for the first time in his now-annual flirtations with retirement, the Finnish Flash insists he wont be back. "Now itll be easier to take advantage of every day," Selanne said. "I think its good for everybody. My family, too. Theyve been asking some questions over the years, and now everybody knows." Two weeks before the Ducks open training camp, Selanne confirmed hes still hungry for another season as the NHLs oldest active player. The right wing has flirted with retirement every year since Anaheim won the Stanley Cup in 2007, always electing to return to the Ducks. He is the 15th-leading scorer in NHL history with 1,430 points, and his 675 career goals are 11th-most in league history. Selanne has spent parts of 14 seasons with Anaheim in an NHL career than began in Winnipeg in 1992. "He clearly still has passion for the game and cant wait to get started," Anaheim general manager Bob Murray said. "We are so pleased that Teemu will end his career where he belongs." And four years after Selanne insisted he was done with international hockey at the Vancouver Games, he confirmed he would play in Sochi if selected to the Finnish team. He is the top scorer in Olympic hockey history with 37 points in 31 games dating back to the Albertville Games in 1992. "Thats a big bonus for the next season," Selanne said. "Obviously, this could be my sixth Olympics, so its something Im very proud of. Thats absolutely my goal, for sure." Hockey fans will have one more season to enjoy the speedy forwards sublime goal-scoring skill and effervescent personality -- something he showed off in a video presentation he wrote himself. Selannes announcement video shows him struggling at golf, eventually throwing his bag into a lake in frustration. When he realizes his phone is in the bag, he jumps into the lake to retrieve it before calling Murray. "Im coming back," Selanne says. "Yeah, but this is it. This is my final one." The video was filmed on the course in Coto de Caza, the gated community in Orange County where Selannes family lives year-round. His acting skills aside, Selanne already has created an indelible mark on his sport ever since he burst onto the NHL scene with the Winnipeg Jets as a 22-year-old phenom, scoring a rookie-record 76 goals and leading the NHL in scoring. He has led the NHL in goals three times -- including 1999, when he won the inaugural Richard Troophy -- while scoring at least 20 goals in 17 seasons. Nike Roshe One Flyknit. He also played for San Jose and Colorado between two stints in Anaheim, where he is a beloved fan favourite and the franchises career scoring leader with 961 points in 902 games. With 675 goals, Selanne is six behind 41-year-old New Jersey forward Jaromir Jagr for 10th place in NHL history, and is third on the NHLs career power-play goals list with 251. With strong seasons, both veterans could catch Mark Messier (694), Steve Yzerman (692) or Mario Lemieux (690) on the career goals list. Selanne realizes the grind in front of him with a packed NHL schedule around the Olympic break. He expects to preserve his health by taking a few games off during the season, as he did a few times last year during the lockout-shortened slate. "I didnt really want to sit out for a game (last season), but I realized afterward its going to be pretty good for me," Selanne said. "Well sit down where the schedule is really hectic, and maybe I can take some nights off. Last year it was almost impossible to get the recovery you needed." Selanne met with Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau before making his decision, coming away confident hell be a key contributor in Anaheim. Selannes role diminished slightly last year with the Ducks, who won the Pacific Division title before losing in the first round of the playoffs. He had 12 goals and 12 assists in 46 games, but still displayed his usual speed and goal-scoring acumen despite decreases in ice time and production late in the season. After their meeting, Selanne is confident Boudreau has an important role for him this fall. "I never want to get any promises, because I know a coach cant really do that," Selanne said. "We have a great group of young guys coming. Its a good competition here right now, and everyone has to earn the ice time and the power play. I know I can do it. I just need to be on the same page with the coach, and thats what happened. Im very happy about it." Selanne took a pay cut from last seasons $4.5 million salary for his final return to the Ducks, who committed $135 million to cornerstone forwards Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry in eight-year contract extensions last season. Anaheim then traded goal-scoring forward Bobby Ryan to Ottawa, but retained the core of an exciting, up-tempo team that finally played up to its potential in the regular season. The Ducks post-season loss to Detroit, dropping Game 7 on home ice, only hardened Selannes desire to return for one last shot. "I felt, like everyone in our locker room, we have a better team than this," Selanne said. "We have unfinished business. We know we can do better, and thats the main reason Im still here. We have a good team and a lot of things going on. If we had a bad team and a bad season, it would be easy to say, Thanks for everything, and go on, but I feel I can do better, we can do better." MADRID - France upset Spain 65-52 in front of its stunned fans in the quarter-finals of the Basketball World Cup on Wednesday. Asics Gel Nimbus 17 . After dominating its first six games and blowing out France by 24 points in the group phase, Spain appeared to be the main candidate to dethrone the United States in a possible final that would have been a rematch of the past two Olympic gold-medal games. But France defended well and rebounded even better to ruin Spains quest for a title for a second straight summer. Last summer, Tony Parker helped France end Spains quest for a third consecutive European title. This time, Spain had several reasons to believe it would avenge that loss. Parker wasnt playing for France, and Spain had Pau Gasol back in its ranks, besides playing at home. "Its a painful and disappointing defeat," Pau said. "We had such high expectations and had played so well until now." Spain had averaged 88 points per game through its first six wins, all blowouts. But France cut off Spains passing lanes and forced it into solo efforts. Spains guards didnt adjust by looking for Pau and Marc Gasol in the post enough, and then compounded that by missing all but two of their 22 attempts from beyond the three-point arc. "Everyone thought we had won this before it started, but we didnt prepare well for the game and were trying to play catchup the entire way," Spain guard Juan Carlos Navarro said. "They prepared better than we did. We relied on doing what we always do, defend and get out on the break, but our shots didnt fall, and they played with a lot of poise." Boris Diaw scored 15 points and Thomas Heurtel added 13 for a France team which pulled in 50 rebounds to Spains 28. Pau had 17 for Spain, but his brother Marc and Serge Ibaka each went 1-of-7 from the field to combine for just five points. Serbia awaits France on Friday after it routed Brazil 84-56 in the other quarter-final. The U.S. plays Lithuania in the other semifinal in Barcelona on Thursday. Pau scored in the post to spark Spains 12-4 run to open the third period and edge ahead 40-39. A brief scuffle marred that span when Frances Florent Pietrus slapped Sergi Llull in the back of the head after an argument. Pietrus was awarded an unsporstmanlike technical foul. Spain entered the final period with a one-point lead but without any clear plan of attack. Diaw nailed a backbreaking three after France again beat Spain to the offensive boards to take a 51-45 lead and force Juan Orenga to call time-out with 6:41 left. A contested jumper by Pau brought Spain to within three points with under two to play, but Heurtel scored five points to quash the comeback and spark chants for Orengas resignation in a loss that hurt almost as much as the Spanish football teams early elimination from this summers World Cup. Pau left open the possibility that this was his last game for Spain, which he has led to one world championship in 2006, two Olympic silver medals, and two European titles. "You never know when your last game or tournament will be," the new Chicago Bull centre said. "I would like to play until I am 50, but I doubt it. We have great young players coming up and Im sure that we have a good team in the future." Whether or not Pau continues, Spain will likely not have such a chance to try and finally beat the U.S. with Pau now 34, and the Olympics two years away. Serbias result also reversed a group matchup, as Serbia lost to Brazil last Wednesday, when Spain also beat France. This time, Brazil and its trio of NBA centers in Varejao, Tiago Splitter and Nene were ineffective, as Serbia bettered the bigger Brazilians inside and out, and turned a five-point halftime advantage into a rout by outscoring Brazil 29-10 in the third period. Serbia was led by guard Milos Teodosic, who scored 23 points, hit three three-pointers, and made four assists. Shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 12 points, and centers Miroslav Raduljica and Nenad Krstic added 10 each. Varejao and Vieira had 12 points each for Brazil. Nike Huarache Rebajas . We challenged Matt Le Tissier to put together the best combined XI from Manchester United and Arsenal ahead of Saturdays clash. Patty Mills Spurs Jersey . We challenged Matt Le Tissier to put together the best combined XI from Manchester United and Arsenal ahead of Saturdays clash. The pair will go head to head in Saturdays 12.30pm kick-off, live on Sky Sports 1HD from 11.30am, with Arsenal looking to climb top of the Premier League and add to Jose Mourinhos troubled start to life at Old Trafford. However, the hosts are marginal favourites with Sky Bet as Mourinho looks to extend his unbeaten record against Arsene Wenger, but Le Tiss believes the Gunners boast a superior squad. In fact, two of his five United picks are unavailable for the clash, with Eric Bailly sidelined with a knee injury while Zlatan Ibrahimovic serves a one-match ban.Heres his best line-up from both squads if all were fit and available... Matt Le Tissier picks his best Manchester United-Arsenal XI GOALKEEPERIts close one to start with and Petr Cech is obviously a very good goalkeeper as well but I have to go with David de Gea. He has youth on his side and three excellent seasons behind him.DEFENDERSIve gone with the two Arsenal full-backs, Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal. Bellerin is up there with the best right-backs in the league and I think theyll really miss him, while Monreal has been pretty consistent. Hector Bellerin has been ruled out for four weeks with an ankle injury United have had to play Antonio Valencia, who has done a decent job but is not a natural right-back. If Luke Shaw was fit and playing on a regular basis hed be in there. Even two years ago it would have been no contest against Monreal, but obviously its been a tough 18 months for him.At centre-back my first pick in Laurent Koscielny. Hes almost like an old school centre-back. I like him a lot and he has been very consistent this season. Then Im going for Eric Bailly. I think hell turn into a very good centre-back. Hes obviously injured at the moment but I think hell be a very good signing for them in the long term. Charlie predicts Find out what Charlie Nicholas is tipping up at 25/1 for Man Utd v Arsenal. MIDFIELDERSMy holding midfielders would be Paul Pogba and Santi Cazorla. I think Pogba can play in either the holding or number 10 role but just needs time and the expectation to calm down.As for Cazorla, I think hes an underrated player and has adapted well to the position. He rarely gives the ball away and great with two feet.On the left of my attacking midfielders would be Mesut Ozil. It would be very difficult to leave him out of any team. Hes such a brilliant creative player with great vision and a fantastic passer of the ball. Alexis Sanchez is set to be assessed after international action Then on the right Ive got the Duracell bunny Alexis Sanchez. Hes got incredible energy to go with incredible talent and is just a fantastic example to the team with his work rate.In the middle Ive gone for a player Ive always had a soft spot for, Juan Mata. Hes got lot of talent but not so much pace, which perhaps reminds me of someone! Hes a bit underrated because of that lack of speed but Ive always had a lot of time for him. Six months half price Upgrade to Sky Sports to watch Man Utd v Arsenal on Saturday and get the first six months half price STRIKERIm going with Zlatan Ibrahimovic over Olivier Giroud and Wayne Rooney, who I still think can play there. Marcus Rashford was probably closest to getting in and I think he may well lead the line on Saturday after what he did to Arsenal last time, but I still think United will miss Ibrahimovics presence up front.FANTASY SIX-A-SIDETheres £5,000 up for grabs in Sky Sports Fantasy Six-a-Side for the highest-scoring team from Manchester United v Arsenal. SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver is continuing his outreach to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community more than a year after his anti-gay remarks leading up to the Super Bowl. Air Max 2017 . The San Francisco Bay Times announced Thursday that Culliver conducted his first interview with an LGBT media outlet, sharing how he changed his thinking. Culliver, who missed the 2013 season because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee sustained during training camp, underwent sensitivity training and began doing other outreach work. Culliver has worked with "The Trevor Project," an organization that provides crisis and suicide intervention to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth. "I truly appreciate the staff at the Trevor Project for allowing me to grow and educating me on the issues affecting the LGBTQ community," Culliver said Thursday in a statement to The Associated Press. "I have learned so much and made some really great friends. I will continue my commitment to the organization and to their youths and stand firm with hope that one day that all individuals regardless of sex, race, or creed will be treated with dignity and respect from all." During Super Bowl media day in 2013 at the Superdome in New Orleans, Culliver responded to questions from comedian Artie Lange by saying he wouldnt welcome a gay player in the locker room. He also said the 49ers didnt have any homosexual players and, if they did, those players should leave. He later apologized, facing a large group of Super Bowl media members for nearly an hour. "Chris has grown immensely from his words and has committed to continue to grow as a human, particularly around matters around the LGBTQ community," his publicist, Theodore Palmer, said Thursday. "He believes that every individual has a right to love the way they choose to love and celebrate the differences of others on a daily basis." In fact, Culliver told the Bay Times he hopes to work on a project with University of Missouri defensive end Michael Sam, who would become the NFLs first openly gay player. Culliver also applauded Nets centre Jason Collins, who became the first openly gay NBA player last month. "I applaud Michael and Jason for their courage," Culliver told the Bay Times. "I have absolutely no problem playing and interacting with someone from the LGBTQ community and look forward to connecting with Michael soon on some projects." The 25-year-old Culliver, a third-round draft pick in 2011 out of South Carolina, made 47 tackles with two interceptions and a forced fumble during the 2012 season while starting six games for the Niners. They lost in the Super Bowl that season to Baltimore. The San Francisco Bay Times, in its 36th year of publication, defines itself as the oldest fully LGBT-owned and funded newspaper in the Bay Area. It was the first newspaper in California, and among the first in the world, to be produced jointly and equally by gay men and lesbians. STARKVILLE, Miss. Iman Shumpert Cavaliers Jersey . -- Alabama looked lethargic, uninspired, sloppy and downright ordinary against a middling Southeastern Conference team on Saturday. And the top-ranked Crimson Tide still found a way to win by nearly two touchdowns. T.J. Yeldon rushed for 160 yards and A.J. McCarron threw two touchdown passes as Alabama overcame four turnovers to beat Mississippi State 20-7 on Saturday night. "We typically struggle here and we did again tonight," Alabama coach Nick Saban said. "But give Mississippi State credit, they had a good gameplan. They played very physical and we couldnt control the line of scrimmage." It was the lowest scoring game of the season for Alabama (10-0, 7-0 SEC), which led 10-7 midway through the third quarter before pulling away. Alabama has seemed invincible over the past two months, winning seven straight games by at least three touchdowns. But that aura wasnt anywhere to be found at Davis Wade Stadium, with Sabans bunch looking curiously mortal after last weeks emotional victory over LSU. "We came out sluggish and we were sluggish to the end." Alabama receiver Kevin Norwood said. Mississippi State (4-6, 1-5) kept the game far closer than most anticipated, but couldnt take advantage of Alabamas mistakes. Tyler Russell started for the injured Dak Prescott and completed 15 of 24 passes for 144 yards and an interception before leaving with a shoulder injury when the Bulldogs were trying to rally in the fourth quarter. McCarron tossed two rare interceptions and Yeldon had a costly fumble that led to Mississippi States only touchdown, but Alabama survived to set up a much-anticipated Iron Bowl with Auburn. Mississippi State had two chances to get back into the game in the fourth quarter after McCarrons second interception and a fumble by Kenyan Drake gave the Bulldogs field position in Alabama territory. But without Russell, Mississippi States offence went nowhere. Freshman Damian Williams didnt connect on any of his five pass attempts -- though two of them were good passes that were dropped. "If youre going to beat that team, youve got to make plays," Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen said. Mullen said Russell felt his throwing shoulder "pop" after trying to make a tackle following his interception late in the third quarter. He played the next series, but struggled to throw and Mullen made the switch. McCarron completed 18 of 32 passes. His first interception in the second quarter was his first in 139 pass attempts. It was the third 100-plus streak without an interception during his career. Alabama parlayed a methodical 14-play, 59-yard opening drive into Cade Fosters 33-yard field goal and a 3-0 lead. But the next four drives were brutal for the Crimson Tides offence, which managed just two first downs during that span. Mississippi State tried to take advantage with a long drive midway through the second quarter, but it bogged down on the 7 and Evan Sobiesk missed a 24-yard field goal that could have tied the game. A few minutes later, the Tide finally broke through with Yeldons 50-yard run down the sideline to Mississippi States 28. McCarron hit Brian Vogler five plays later for an 18-yard touchdown pass with 20 seconds remaining in the second quarter to give Alabama a 10-0 halftime lead. The 6-foot-7, 260-pound Vogler made a nifty move at the goal line, catching the pass and sidestepping a Mississippi State defender before diving into the end zone. It was his first career touchdown. It looked like that would be all the breathing room Alabama needed, but the mistakes continued in the second half. Yeldon fumbled after a 10-yard run and Mississippi States Beniquez Brown recovered at Alabamas 48. The Bulldogs then drove downfield and scored thanks to Russells timely passes and a stroke of luck. Russell fumbled just short of a touchdown, but right tackle Charles Siddoway fell on the ball in the end zone to pull Mississippi State within 10-7. McCarrons 11-yard pass to Norwood pushed the Tide ahead 17-7 with 5:46 left in the third quarter. Alabamas defence held an opponent to seven points or less for the sixth time this season. The Tides punter Cody Mandell might have been the team MVP, averaging 55 yards on four punts to constantly put Mississippi State in bad field position. "He did a fantastic job," Saban said. "He had a fabulous night on a windy night. One of those big kicks was into the wind." NEW YORK -- Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller was fined $25,000 by the NFL on Friday for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick last Sunday. Adriano Barcelona Jersey . Miller popped Fitzpatrick in the helmet with his facemask, resulting in a penalty that led to a touchdown for the Titans in Tennessees 51-28 loss. NEW YORK -- The newest team in Major League Soccer is doing its part to fill Yankee Stadium with stars. Rafinha Jersey . New York City FC introduced Frank Lampard in Brooklyn on Thursday after signing the 36-year-old former Chelsea midfielder to a two-year contract. "Why not New York? Talk about ticking all the boxes. I want to carry on challenging myself." Lampard said at a news conference . "Thats a great challenge, isnt it? City of hopes and dreams. Thats where you want to go to and play isnt it?" The club owned by Manchester City of the Premier League and the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball previously signed David Villa of Atletico Madrid. Both City and Atletico won league championships last year, meaning the expansion soccer team set to begin playing home games at the ballpark in 2015 is also bringing more champions to the Bronx than Yankee Stadiums full-time tenants have lately. The news conference was held at Brooklyn Bridge Park, where several soccer fields share space on a pier in the East River across from Lower Manhattan. A couple dozen fans, many in blue Chelsea jerseys, gathered around to listen, at times cheering and getting laughs from the dais, where Lampard was flanked by club sporting director Claudio Reyna , chief business officer Tim Pernetti, and coach Jason Kreis. Lampard, who has scored 211 goals for England and Chelsea, became the latest international star to move to MLS. Most famous was David Beckham, who joined the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2007 from Real Madrid. "I think this is an incredibly exciting time for the league," Kreis said. Lampard is "a rare talent, one that scores a lot of goals from midfield, yet is also a disciplined defender and someone who reads the game brilliantly." Lampard was asked about a widely reported encounter with American travellers in 2001, shortly after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, when he and teammates were fined following reports they were behaving drunkenly and boorishly in front of the distraught Americans. "I was naive and a young boy at the time and I have some regrets," Lampard said. "I categorically didnt insult anyone, set out to insult anyone, behave badly in front of Americans or in fact anyone. Ive tried in the last 13 years at Chelsea to build up -- well, to just be a good man really and not just be a good footballer, but a good man off the pitch. ... Unfortunately it was very much misreported at the time in England and its actually a chance for me to finally say that." Lampard, speaking with the skyline behind him across the river, said he "of course" plans to visit the Sept. 11 memorial. "You visit this great city, you know what it means to New Yorkers. I think you go and pay your respects, so yes I will," he said. Kreis said the team examined the situation and considers the matter resolved. His newest player is someone with strong feelings about New York. "I want New Yorkers to hear that and see that," Lampard said. "Its up to me to show them here and prove the footballer I am and the person that I am." Samuel Umtiti Barcelona Jersey . -- With his team down 16 points in the second quarter and headed for another blowout loss at home, Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson yelled out to his players to keep shooting and keep fighting on defence. Gerald Green and Miles Plumlee? Green had bounced around the NBA when he wasnt playing overseas. The Pacers gave up on Plumlee after just one season. Now Green and Plumlee are key cogs in the Suns surprising breakout season. The NFL Combine is a perfect time to impress scouts with impressive workout numbers, and two potential Top 5 picks have done just that over the weekend in Indianapolis. While the spotlight has been on potential first overall draft pick Jadeveon Clowney and his 40-yard time, and top quarterback prospect Blake Bortles during the throwing drills, top prospects Greg Robinson and Sammy Watkins have impressed scouts enough to solidify or even boost their spots on draft boards. Robinson, a 65 and 320 pound offensive tackle from Auburn, ran a blistering (relatively speaking) 4.84 40-yard dash. To listen to the chatter in Indy this weekend tell it, Robinsons stock is soaring to the point where he may have overtaken Texas A&Ms Jake Matthews as the top OT in the draft. Watkins meanwhile, ran a very impressive 40-yard dash himself, clocking in at 4.34 and 4.37. The 61, 205 pound receiver from Clemson has separated himself from Marqise Lee and others as the clear-cut top pass catcher in this years draft. Respected draftnik Mike Mayock of NFL Network has gone so far to say Watkins he thinks Watkins is a franchise receiver. The junior could go as high as second overall to the St. Louis Rams. Other players who helped their cause over the weekend include Texas A&M receiver Mike Evans and Fresno State Derek Carr. Jordi Masip Barcelona Jersey. Evans has been somewhat of a forgotten man sitting behind Watkins and Lee on draft boards at the receiver position. But after putting up some strong numbers to go along with his freakish wingspan, could see the redshirt sophomore finish the weekend on Lees tail for second receiver to be taken. After a poor showing in the Las Vegas Bowl dropped Carr out of the first-round in many draftniks minds and mock drafts, Carr has done some tremendous damage control in the off-season. Starting with the Senior Bowl and continuing this weekend at the Combine, Carrs performances have boosted his stock back into the first round and perhaps as high as the Top 10. The Minnesota Vikings, picking eighth overall and in need of a quarterback, could take a long look at the senior if the top three – Teddy Bridgewater, Johnny Manziel, and Bortles – are off the board. And speaking of Manziel, the exciting quarterback spent most of the weekend trying to prove to teams hes more Johnny Manziel than Johnny Football, but in the tests he went through, he impressed for the most part. Manziels 40-yard time of 4.68 was strong and while he measured in a little short for most teams liking – a shade under 60 – his hand size was certainly NFL caliber. EAST RUTHERFORD, N. Antonio Rudiger Jersey .J. -- Michael Vick took off on third down, eluded a few tackle attempts and picked up 15 yards for a first down. Yep, hes still got it. Vick showed hes still a playmaker, leading the New York Jets on a touchdown drive, capped by fellow newcomer Chris Johnsons 1-yard scoring run, in a 13-10 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday night in the preseason opener for both teams. "I did all right. It couldve been better," Vick said. "I wanted to get some throws down the field, but unfortunately that didnt happen. So, lets see what happens next week." Andrew Luck made what amounted to a cameo appearance, playing in just one efficient drive for the Colts, going 4 of 5 for 53 yards and leading Indianapolis to a field goal in his brief stint. "I thought we had a lot of good rhythm," Luck said. "I wish we would have gotten a touchdown, but points are good." Rookie free agent Andrew Furney kicked a 51-yard field goal with 1:08 left to put the Jets ahead in a game that appeared headed for overtime. Ikemefuna Enemkpali sacked Chandler Harnish in the closing minute and A.J. Edds recovered the fumble, sealing the win for New York. "It wasnt great," Jets coach Rex Ryan said, "but it wasnt a pillow fight, either." Geno Smith, looking to retain his starting job with the Jets in his second season, was 4 of 6 for 33 yards in his two series with the first-team offence -- including a drive capped by a 51-yard field goal by Nick Folk that hit the crossbar and bounced over -- before giving way to Vick. He also had an impressive 10-yard scramble on a read-option. "Theres no grade for it," Smith said of his performance. "I played two series and did OK, but got to get better." Vick jogged onto the field to a nice ovation from the crowd at MetLife Stadium -- a greeting he wasnt expecting. "To get that type of reception, it was a very warm welcome," he said, "and I appreciated it." A 14-play drive tied it at 10, and while it came mostly against backups on defence, the 34-year-old Vick showed his elusiveness and also converted on fourth-and-4 at the 8, hitting Tommy Bohanon for 6 yards to set up Johnsons touchdown. The Jets were also helped by two 15-yard penalties: a facemask on Josh Gordy, and an unsportsmanlike conduct call on Sergio Brown, who took the helmet of Jets lineman Willie Colon and tossed it after Colon and Indianapolis defensive tackle Jeris Pendleton got into it on the field. Pendleton left a few plays later with a knee injury. Vick went three-and-out on his next possession with the Jets backups, ending with a sack by Cam Johnson. He took a knee on the final play before halftime, ending his night. Vick was 3 of 6 for 17 yards, and also ran three times for 19 yards. "I thought Geno played extremely well," Ryan said. "Im really pleased with Geno, and also pleased with Mike, as well." Luck got the Colts to the Jets 10 on the games opening drive when he beat a blitz and hit T.Y. Hilton for 17 yards. After a defensive offside call on Calvin Pace put the ball at the 3, Trent Richardson lost 2 yards. On third-and-goal, the snap by rookie centre Jonotthan Harrison -- playing after starter Khaled Holmes injured an ankle -- floated past Lucks head for a 16-yard loss. Adam Vinatieri then kicked a 39-yarder to give Indianapolis a 3-0 lead. That was it for Luck, who gave way to veteran backup Matt Hasselbeck. "That was the plan, to get him six-to-eight plays, and it ended up, I think it was 12 on that drive," Colts coach Chuck Pagano said. "So, he actually got a few more than we planned, but it was fine." Hasselbeck helped put the Colts ahead 10-3 on their next possession, tossing a swing pass to Daniel Herron, who beat rookie linebacker Jeremiah George and zipped into the end zone for a 12-yard touchdown. Hasselbeck nearly led the Colts to another scoring drive right before halftime, but Vinatieri pushed a 29-yard attempt wide left to keep it tied at 10. Hasselbeck finished 10 of 15 for 114 yards and the score. NOTES: Pagano had no immediate word on the severity of Holmes injury, saying only that he would have an MRI exam Friday. Other injuries for the Colts: LT Ulrick John (right ankle) and LB Daniel Adongo (biceps). ... Jets RB Chris Ivory (ribs) and WR David Nelson (hand) left, but Ryan said they should be fine. Edds broke a finger on his left hand, but returned. ... Herron finished with 26 yards rushing and led the Colts with six catches for 36 yards. Porter let it fly to beat the shot clock -- and it went in for his first NBA 3-pointer. "My thought was like, Man, if you make that type of shot, then here goes the fourth quarter," Prince said. The Grizzlies led by as many as 19 in the final period, but the Wizards made six 3s over those final 12 minutes. Porter, a career 0-for-10 from long range entering the game, made a second one. The lead was down to two after Bradley Beals 3-pointer with 8.9 seconds remaining, but time ran out not a moment too soon for Memphis, which made its free throws in the closing seconds to preserve a 110-104 win Monday night. "The most important thing," Prince said, "is we stay composed." Prince finished with a season-high 21 points, and Zach Randolph added 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who improved to a season-high nine games above .500 and pulled within one game of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Memphis shot 60 per cent after the first quarter and outscored Washington 62-34 in the paint for the game. John Wall scored 23 points, Beal had 21, and Marcin Gortat added 16 for the Wizards, who had a six-game winning streak snapped. Washington had answered a challenge by winning its first three games after losing starting forward Nene to a knee injury, but this time the rotation was also missing forwards Kevin Seraphin (sore right knee) and Martell Webster (sore back). Which is how Porter ended up getting some major playing time, something scarcely seen this season by the No. 3 overall pick in the draft. He had scored only 39 points all season, and he looked as surprised as anyone when his first 3-pointer went swish. "I dont know how that went in," he said. "But I had to get it up there." The Grizzlies appeared in control after a 17-2 run over the final 3 1/2 minuutes of the third quarter. Mats Hummels Jersey. Mike Conley (20 points, seven assists) started the spurt with a left-handed driving layup. Both Randolph and Tony Allen converted three-point plays, and Prince hit a 3-point shot as the lead grew to 79-64 entering the fourth. After Porters initial 3-pointer, Nick Calathes made a jumper to push the lead to 19, but the Wizards kept coming. Porters second 3-pointer made the score 102-98 with 1:17 to play. But it wouldnt be enough. "I think thats something we find ourselves doing a lot, getting down and digging in the last five minutes of games, and I feel like we cant do that," said Washingtons Trevor Ariza, who scored 15 points. "We gotta play hard throughout the whole game and compete throughout and not wait for the last five minutes to play." The Grizzlies had 10 players make at least two field goals, while the Wizards relied heavily on their starters. Prince, whose veteran contributions arent always reflected satisfactorily in the "points" column, was more of a scoring threat than usual. "The difference tonight was getting a couple of post-ups early, making a couple of shots in the paint," Prince said. "You notice pretty much since Ive been here, its been jump shot after jump shot, so I had the opportunity today to really get inside." Notes: Wall got his 2,000th career assist in the fourth quarter. ... Memphis F James Johnson sat out with a sprained right ankle and is day to day. ... Washington coach Randy Wittman said he expects Webster back for the Wizards next game Wednesday. Theres no timetable for Seraphin, who missed his fourth straight game. ... The Grizzlies are 16-11 on the road, and this win began a stretch in which 12 of 17 are away. "For some reason, the chemistry is a lot better," Prince said. "Were more concerned with not letting teams get out early on us, which is very surprising because when youre at home you just say, Lets hit em in the nose in the first quarter then we should be in good shape. But were doing it the opposite way." Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

WASHINGTON -- Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth had one regret following his game-saving catch Friday night. Custom Juventus Jersey . "I probably should have untucked my shirt, but I didnt," he joked, referring to closer Rafael Sorianos signature move upon the completion of a save. Tyler Moore had two hits and drove in a pair of runs, and Washington relievers threw four scoreless innings - the last one thanks in large part to Werth -- as the Nationals defeated the New York Mets 5-2. Soriano got his ninth save after Werths game-ending jumping catch against the right field wall on a drive by Daniel Murphy with two on and two outs. "I think the rain might have knocked it down a little bit, give me a better chance at it. It was close," Werth said. He wasnt sure if the ball would have made it out. "In my heart of hearts, I knew it was going to be close," Murphy said. "(Soriano) crowded me just a little bit. He got it on me just a hair . Jason made a good play on it." Soriano retired the first two batters before walking pinch hitter Juan Lagares and Eric Young. That brought up Murphy, who began play with a .337 road batting average. "Murphs been one of their hottest hitters of late and hes one of their best hitters overall, so its never comfortable when hes at the plate with a chance to tie the game," Nationals manager Matt Williams said. "But its a game of inches sometimes and he didnt quite get enough of it." Scott Hairston had an RBI double and a single for Washington, which has won nine straight against the Mets going back to last season, and was beginning a stretch of 15 of 19 games at home. Nationals starter Tanner Roark (3-1) pitched five innings, giving up two runs on four hits. Ross Detwiler, Drew Storen, and Tyler Clippard handled the sixth, seventh and eighth innings, respectively. The Mets snapped a 22-inning scoreless streak, their second longest of the season, with two runs in the fifth. Jonathon Niese (2-3) took the loss, allowing five runs, three earned, in four innings. It was Nieses shortest outing since June 20, 2013 at Atlanta, when he left after 3 1-3 innings due to injury. The Mets defence hurt Niese early as the first three Nationals hitters of the game reached safely and scored. After Denard Span singled, third baseman Wright misplayed Anthony Rendons grounder for an error. Werth then singled home Span, and Washington added two more runs on a sacrifice fly and a fielders choice grounder that might have been a double play. But the ball was bobbled briefly by second baseman Murphy. "I just couldnt get into a rhythm, fell behind, wasnt able to execute pitches when I needed to," Niese said. "When that happens its tough for the defence to stay on their toes when Im working behind." In the third, Hairston doubled home Ramos and scored on a single by Moore to make it 5-0. Following consecutive shutout losses to the Yankees the Mets finally broke through against Roark. Lucas Duda opened the fifth with a single and Anthony Recker doubled. Duda scored on a groundout by Ruben Tejada and Youngs double brought home Recker to pull New York within 5-2. The game was delayed briefly when a fan came onto the field near the Nationals dugout and ran from first base around to home with one out in the ninth. He was tackled hard by a security person just behind home plate, drawing cheers from the crowd. NOTES: Washington selected the contract of 1B Greg Dobbs and optioned C Sandy Leon to Triple-A Syracuse prior to Fridays game. Dobbs, released by the Marlins on May 6, was signed as a minor league free agent Monday. To make room on the 40-man roster, the Nationals put Syracuse outfielder Eury Perez (broken toe) on the 60-day DL. . Manager Matt Williams said two Nationals on the DL, LF Bryce Harper (left thumb strain) and 3B Ryan Zimmerman (right thumb fracture), have doctor appointments next week and will get progress reports. . Mets RHP pitcher Jenrry Mejia, being eased into the closers role, was unavailable after pitching the ninth inning Thursday night. "He hasnt been back-to-back in four years, so weve got to be careful," Collins said, adding Mejia will pitch consecutive games soon. . New Yorks Bartolo Colon (2-5, 5.84) opposes Gio Gonzalez (3-3, 3.97) Saturday. Gianluigi Buffon Jersey . The 30-year-old Moore played in 13 games for the Saints last season, catching 37 balls for 457 yards and two touchdowns. Gianluigi Buffon Juventus Jersey . AUBURN HILLS, Mich. Devin Booker Jersey . -- Samuel Dalembert had more offensive rebounds than Andre Drummond, Greg Monroe and Josh Smith combined. That was probably the most telling stat from Saturdays game, which Dalemberts Dallas Mavericks won 113-102 over a Detroit team hurt throughout the night by Drummonds foul trouble. Dirk Nowitzki scored 24 points and Vince Carter added 18 for Dallas. "If youre able to get them in foul trouble early, they kind of slow things down a little bit and become less aggressive," Dalembert said. "We knew what we were getting into, and we were ready for the fight." Dallas had surprising success on the boards against Detroits imposing front line. The Mavericks finished with 16 offensive rebounds. The Pistons, who came in as the NBAs top team in that department, had only nine. Drummond finished with only eight points and three rebounds in just under 20 minutes of action. "When you get in foul trouble, it changes your aggression, but it also keeps you from ever getting in the flow of the game," Detroit interim coach John Loyer said. "Andre is a guy who is normally always into the flow, but he wasnt able to do that tonight, whether because of the fouls or something else. I know hell be in the gym tomorrow making sure it doesnt happen again." Smith kept the Pistons in the game for a while and finished with 32 points, his most since signing with Detroit last off-season. Monta Ellis had 12 points and 13 assists for the Mavericks. Dallas leads ninth-place Memphis by two games in the Western Conference playoff race. The Pistons, meanwhile, fell 3 1/2 games behind Atlanta for the final playoff spot in the East. Dallas led by 13 in the third quarter, and after the Pistons closed within four in the fourth, Nowitzki connected from beyond the arc to give the Mavericks a 96-89 lead. Dallas was able to keep Detroit at arms length after that. "We did a pretty good job of not letting them get too much momentum," Dallas coach Rick Carlisle said. "When you let them get momentum and get in transition they convert quick, they can hit 3s, they throw lobs, and then it turns into a circus." The Pistons did have 24 fast-break points, but they went 2 of 11 from 3-point range. Detroits Brandon Jennings had only two points and three assists on 1-of-7 shooting, and for a second straight night, the Pistons went mostly with Will Bynum at point guard with the game on the line. Bynum had 17 points and eight assists. "We played a tough team tonight, and they beat us," Bynum said. "We had the energy in spurts tonight, but weve got to have that for 48 minutes and we arent doing that." Ellis scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, and the Mavericks benefited from Drummonds absence throughout the game. Greg Monroe had 17 points and 17 rebounds for the Pistons, but he had little help on the boards. Smith, for all his scoring, finished with only three rebounds, and he didnt score a point in the final period. Dallas had six players in double figures. Dalembert had 12 points and 11 rebounds -- six at the offensive end. Jose Calderon added 11 points and Shawn Marion scored 10. The Mavericks had 31 assists, one night after reaching a season-high 39 in a win at Philadelphia. Ellis had 11 assists in the first half against the Pistons, and Dallas led 64-54 at halftime. Smith -- who had 24 points on 11-of-13 shooting in the half -- kept Detroit from a bigger deficit. The Pistons were only down 39-36 when Drummond picked up his third foul with 9:03 left in the second quarter. The Mavericks slowly extended the margin after that. NOTES: Dallas improved to 17-8 against the East this season. ... Carter appeared to be hit in the midsection in the first quarter and grimaced as he came up the court. Then he took a pass and immediately spotted up for a 3-pointer that gave Dallas a 29-25 lead. Phoenix Suns Jersey . Snedekers best result so far this year is a tie for eighth place at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March. He sits 113th in FedEx Cup standings and has dropped to 31st in world rankings — not the results expected from a player ranked fourth in the world only two years ago. Marquese Chriss Suns Jersey . Gaborik was acquired in a trade with Columbus on Wednesday and skated on the top line with centre Anze Kopitar and right-winger Justin Williams. "We created some things," said Gaborik, who logged 16:38 of ice time. http://www.sunsofficialshop.us/shaquille-oneal-suns-jersey/ . Bring on Freddy Garcia. The well-travelled 36-year-old right-hander earned his second NL victory since 2007, and his first since he joined the Atlanta Braves last month, pitching six innings to help beat Miami 6-1 Thursday.ATLANTA -- Top-seeded defending champion John Isner and Jack Sock each rallied Friday in the Atlanta Open to set up an all-America semifinal between the practice partners. Isner beat Marinko Matosevic 7-6 (, 6-4 in hot conditions, taking advantage of the Australians mistakes to run his Atlanta record to 14-3. Sock later topped Slovakias Lukas Lacko, 7-6 (6), 6-2 after trailing 3-5 in the first set. In the other quarterfinals, Germanys Ben Becker beat Dutchman Thiemo de Bakker 6-4, 6-2, and Israels Dudi Sela topped fourth-seeded Vasek Pospisil of Vancouver 7-5, 1-6, 6-2. Matosevic and Isner both slowed their pace of play in the second set as temperatures were in the high-80s under a blazing sun. On several occasions, Isner bent over between points to gather himself. "I knew he was struggling out there a little bit, and he knew I was struggling a little bit," Isner said after ending the mid-afternoon match with his 17th ace. "A lot of times in situations like that ... even though I appear to be super tired and I am super tired, I can muster up enough energy to pop some big serves in. "The beginning of that second set it felt like someone put us both in an oven." In the first game, Matosevic broke Isners serve. The defending champion would go on to win a modest 70 per cent of his service games, well below the ATP-leading 93 per cent win rate that he carried into the quarterfinals. Marquese Chriss Jersey. Matosevics errors made up for gaps in Isners serves. The Australian sent an overhand smash well long to enable Isner to break serve for a 4-3 lead in the first set, and Matosevic double faulted to hand Isner set point in the 10-8 tiebreaker. Back-to-back double faults gave Isner a 4-3 lead in the second set. "It was just as hot as the 43 Celsius day I played in Australia this year if not hotter," Matosevic said. "(Isner) amped it up, and started serving like 10 mph faster in the second ... it was really, really hot out there." The 21-year-old Sock advanced to his second career semifinal. He made his first two weeks ago by beating Isner in straight sets on grass at Newport. In May, Isner beat Sock in straight sets on clay in Nice, France. They wont need scouting reports. "We practice together almost every day now out at Saddlebrook in Tampa, and so Im going to have to go out and use what I know from practice," Sock said. "These (hard) courts suit him pretty well because its high bouncing and when a 7-foot guy is serving down on you its not going to be easy." Sock teamed with Pospisil three weeks ago to win the mens doubles title at Wimbledon, and the pair will played a doubles match Saturday against Becker and his fellow German Frank Moser before singles play begins later in the afternoon.
