MILAN, Italy -- Alessandro Matri scored twice on his Fiorentina debut to help his new team win 3-0 at bottom club Catania in Serie A on Sunday. Jermaine Kearse Seahawks Jersey . Matri had only scored once in six months for AC Milan but now has more goals for Fiorentina after a brilliant first half. "Today was an afternoon I dreamed about," Matri said. "I really wanted to get back to helping the team. Its been a difficult six months, in which I suffered, and I thank those who were close to me, my family and my girlfriend, I dedicate the goals to them." Fiorentina moved three points behind Napoli in the race for third place and the final Champions League berth after the Naples club were held to a 2-2 draw by 10-man Bologna. Napoli thought it had won after goals from Gonzalo Higuain and Jose Callejon but Rolando Bianchi scored his second of the game in the final minute. In the evening game, Clarence Seedorf got off to a winning start as coach after Mario Balotellis penalty helped AC Milan beat Hellas Verona 1-0. "After the match we all gathered in a circle with our arms around each other. From now on we will always do that, regardless of the result. That way we will all look each other in the face," Seedorf said. "It is an important start and I am happy for this group. Theres a lot of work still ahead of us, but everything is lighter and comes easier when you are winning." Inter Milan lost 1-0 at Genoa for its third defeat in five league matches. In the earlier kickoff, 10-man Lazio fought back after twice trailing to win 3-2 at Udinese. Elsewhere, it was: Chievo Verona 1, Parma 2; Atalanta 1, Cagliari 0; and Sassuolo 0, Torino 2. With Giuseppe Rossi and Mario Gomez injured, Matri was handed his Fiorentina debut days after joining on loan from Milan, and it did not take the former Juventus striker long to have an impact as he set up Fernandez for the opening goal in the 25th minute. Matri got on the scoresheet three minutes later, getting the better of his marker to slide home Manuel Pasquals pass. He doubled his tally four minutes from halftime when Catania goalkeeper Alberto Frison did brilliantly to deny Fernandez but Matri tapped home the rebound. Matri was substituted at the start of the second half as a precaution after picking up a knock. Fernandez almost scored his second of the match on the hour mark but hit the crossbar. It was a disappointing return to the Catania bench for coach Rolando Maran, who had been sacked and replaced by Luigi De Canio in October. Relegation-threatened Bologna had held Lazio to a draw last week and was looking to continue its unbeaten run under new coach Davide Ballardini. It took a surprise lead eight minutes from halftime when Bianchi got in front of Raul Albiol to head in Alessandro Diamantis cross. Napoli strove for the equalizer and its hard work paid off shortly after the hour mark when Higuain smashed home a penalty after Panagiotis Kone bundled over Blerim Dzemaili. Callejon fired Higuains cross into the far corner 10 minutes from time and Napoli looked set to take all three points when Kone was sent off for a second booking four minutes later. However, Bianchi drove home Diamantis corner to snatch a draw. Inter is eight points behind the top four as its miserable run continued. Luca Antonelli was left unmarked to head home a corner seven minutes from time. Inter has won just one of its past eight league matches. Verona is doing well in its first season back in the top flight and is level on points with Inter. Milan is struggling and replaced Massimiliano Allegri with former player Seedorf after last weeks 4-3 loss to Sassuolo. After beating Milan on the opening day, Verona appeared to be heading for a draw at San Siro before Alejandro Gonzalezs needless tackle on Kaka. Balotelli stepped up and fired powerfully into the right side of goal. "It is a victory that we dedicate to Seedorf, the first game is the most difficult," Balotelli said. Udinese is just three points off the drop zone after a third straight defeat. Bologna, Sassuolo and Chievo are all level on 17 points, four more than bottom two clubs Livorno and Catania. The Canadians led for much of the game before Argentina forced overtime in the dying seconds of the fourth quarter. Canada weathered the storm after squandering a lead with a series of made shots. "Its a fantastic win for our country with 11 first-time Canadian national team members," said head coach Roy Rana.WINNIPEG -- Al Montoya says hes happy to return as the backup goaltender for the Winnipeg Jets after agreeing to a new contract Thursday that keeps him from testing free agency. "I really enjoyed my time last year," he said of his first, abbreviated season with the Jets. "This is a good group, a good team. We came so close last year. For me I like the coaching staff, I love working with the goalie coach (Wade Flaherty) so it was pretty simple." He credits Flaherty with helping him return to a more natural athletic style of play. "Somewhere along the way I kind of lost my own game and with Flatts I kind of got it back . . . I didnt play much last year but the games I did play in I felt my careers going in the direction I want and I have a lot more to show." With his signing, the Jets have locked up the only unrestricted free agents general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff seemed eager to retain this year. The other was defenceman Grant Clitsome, signed earlier this week to a three-year, $6.2-million deal. The Jets didnt release details of Montoyas contract but it was reportedly a one-year deal for the same $601,000 he pulled in last season. Montoya squueezed in a quick conference call from Miami where hes attending his brothers wedding. Braylon Edwards Jersey. The 28-year-old played in seven games for the Jets last season, starting five and ending the season with a record of 3-1-0, a 2.91 goals against average and 0.899 save percentage. He has suited up for 63 career NHL games between the Phoenix Coyotes, New York Islanders and Jets for a 24-18-10 career record, 2.77 goals against average and 0.906 career save percentage. The Chicago native was originally drafted sixth overall by the New York Rangers in 2004. Montoyas time on the ice was limited due to injury last season but he says hes feeling great this summer and anxious to start playing hockey again. "With the Olympic break coming up I dont expect the pace of this season to be much different." He says he and the Jets starting netminder Ondrej Pavelec enjoy pushing each other in practice. "We definitely push each other. . . it makes you a better player at the end of the day." He also says he likes living in Winnipeg and the strong fan support. "The citys great, my family liked it, and I think the teams moving in the right direction." NFL Jerseys China cheap jerseys ' ' '

CALGARY - Johnny Gaudreau was still living in a Calgary hotel seven weeks after reporting to Flames training camp. Will Tye Giants Jersey .The hotel room represents both sides of a coin for Gaudreau. The Flames havent yet committed to keeping the 21-year-old in the lineup, but theyve liked Gaudreaus play enough to keep him in the NHL for now.Ive got a clean bed made every morning so thats nice, the rookie forward said Wednesday. Im going to sit there in the hotel and wait until Im told to get a place.Hopefully, I keep showing I belong here.Listed at five foot nine and 150 pounds by the Flames, there were questions about Gaudreaus ability to take NHL-sized checks over an 82-game season, and whether he should start the season with the American Hockey Leagues Adirondack Flames in upstate New York. But Gaudreau led the Flames in shots on net in the pre-season and dazzled with moments of brilliant playmaking. He earned his spot on the opening-day roster, but then managed just one shot on goal in his first five games.Gaudreau was a healthy scratch Oct. 17 in Columbus. He responded by scoring his first NHL goal of the regular season two days later in Winnipeg. After getting zero shots on net Saturday against Washington, Gaudreau shone in Calgarys 2-1 shootout loss to Montreal on Tuesday. He assisted on Calgarys lone goal and put six shots on Canadiens goaltender Carey Price, who stole the game for the Habs. That was Johnnys best game, Flames head coach Bob Hartley said. I felt he was our best forward.Calgary (5-4-2) is at home against the Nashville Predators on Friday. Hartley is giving Jonas Hiller a second straight start in net. The Flames open a five-game road trip Sunday in Montreal. It would have been surprising if Gaudreaus first month in the NHL was a smooth learning curve. While he did turn the puck over during an early power play against Montreal, he hasnt been a major defensive liability despite his inexperience. After 11 games, the right-winger from Carneys Point, N.J., was plus-five along with a goal and three assists.Ive definitely been trying hard lately to be better in the defensive zone, Gaudreau said. Ive been talking to the coaching staff and going over clips about things I need to get better at.But its been Gaudreaus puck and passing skills that gets Flames fans buzzing. His nickname is Johnny Hockey. Its good timing if Gaudreau feels more confident on offence because the Flames are suddenly thin up front.Centre Matt Stajan is out up to six weeks with a knee injury he sustained in Tuesdays collision with Montreals Jarred Tinordi.Centre Joe Colbornes status is day-to-day following a wrist injury that took him out of that game. Winger Mason Raymond was already sidelined with a shoulder injury and is said to be week-to-week. Calgary called up centre Markus Granlund from the Adirondack Flames on Wednesday. The Flames drafted Gaudreau in the fourth round in 2011. Calgary signed him to a contract April 11, which was the same day he won the Hobey Baker Award as the top player in NCAA Division 1 mens hockey. After his college career with Boston College concluded, Gaudreau tantalized Flames fans by scoring a goal in Calgarys final game of the regular season and his first in the NHL.When combined with NHL pre-season games and rookie-camp games, Gaudreau has played almost half a college season before the end of October. To prepare for the NHL marathon, he says he spent more time in the weight room to build strength and less time on the ice to build up his reserves in the off-season. Gaudreau knows hell have to be vigilant about managing his energy if hes to stick with the Flames.I definitely feel how many games weve played, Gaudreau said. Its my rookie year so its something Im going to try to think (about) and make sure Im getting rest and getting fluids in me throughout the days when I do have days off.Flames assistant general manager Craig Conroy expects Gaudreaus learning curve to continue rising as he adjusts to NHL defences.Last year when I watched him, every time he got the puck, the first thing (the opposition) did was back up, Conroy said. They gave him all that room. In college, if they tried to pinch on him, he could make them look silly. Now in the NHL, the guys skate so well, theyre so big, they close gaps quickly.Theres going to be times, maybe four or five games, hes not very good. This is the best league in the world and guys are not going to cut him any slack. Theyre going to try to win the game and run him over and make it hard as they can on him.I think hes done a great job up to now. Hes got to protect himself and put himself in good positions. Hes starting to figure that out which is good for us. Johnathan Hankins Jersey . Picard had a goal and two assists to help Canada improve to 2-0 at the tournament. The win moved Roma back within three points of Italian league leader Juventus, which beat Bologna 2-0 Friday. "Were following our own road and were never going to stop fighting," Destro said. "We realize were a great squad." Also Sunday, fourth-place Inter Milan was held to a 3-3 draw by Parma in a wild match at the San Siro. At the Stadio Olimpico, right back Maicon put Roma ahead from close range seven minutes in after being set up by Gervinho. Juan Vargas equalized for Fiorentina in the 29th with a powerful shot after Nenad Tomovic carried the ball deep into the area. Destros winner came in the 68th after he also was set up by Gervinho in the area. Among Europes major leagues, only Roma and Bayern Munich remain unbeaten. Roma visits Juventus in January immediately after the winter break. Destro, a forward who has also played for Italy, had his left knee operated on in January and played sporadically at the end of last season then took more time off after experiencing further pain and swelling. "I couldnt take it anymore being out," said Destro, who ran toward Romas bench after scoring and was shown a yellow card for taking his shirt off to celebrate. Janoris Jenkins Giants Jersey. "Now all of that is behind me." Two minutes after Destros goal, Roma goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis preserved the lead by leaping to tip away a dangerous free kick from Fiorentina captain Manuel Pasqual in the 70th. Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman had hit the post in the 62nd. Roma played the final two minutes with 10 men after Miralem Pjanic picked up his second yellow card. Roma opened the season with a record 10 wins but had struggled in recent matches without its 37-year-old captain Francesco Totti, who was on the bench for the first time Sunday after being out since October with an injured right hamstring. In other matches Sunday, it was: Cagliari 2, Genoa 1; Sampdoria 2, Catania 0; Sassuolo 0, Chievo Verona 1; Torino 1, Lazio 0; Hellas Verona 2, Atalanta 1. In Milan, Nicola Sansone put Parma ahead in the 12th, Rodrigo Palacio equalized in the 44th and Marco Parolo restored Parmas lead in first-half added time. Palacio scored another in the 54th to make it 2-2, then Fredy Guarin gave Inter a brief lead two minutes later -- before Sansone found the target for Parma again in the 60th when he beat Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso to a cross. VANCOUVER - Rory MacDonald says he doesnt feel any added pressure to carry Canadas mixed martial arts torch in Georges St-Pierre

VANCOUVER - Rory MacDonald says he doesnt feel any added pressure to carry Canadas mixed martial arts torch in Georges St-Pierres absence. Julian Edelman Jersey . In fact, his mentors hiatus from the UFC makes McDonalds quest to reach the top of the welterweight division a little easier. "It opens things up for me to get to where I want to be," MacDonald said this week. "Ive learned a lot from Georges. No extra pressure, Ive just got to be myself." It remains to be seen if St-Pierre will return to the sport he dominated, but the 24-year-old MacDonald — who goes by the nickname "Ares" — is intent on continuing his climb this Saturday at UFC 174 when he takes on Tyron (The Chosen One) Woodley in the co-main event at Rogers Arena. Both men have their sights set on Johny Hendricks welterweight title, with MacDonald ranked as the No. 2 challenger and Woodley at No. 3. Shy in front of the media glare, MacDonald said he just has to continue working on what has brought him to this point. "I think people like me for who I am," said MacDonald, who was born in Quesnel, B.C., but now trains in Montreal. "Ive gotten to the position Im in because of being who I am — a couple stumbles along the way but I feel like Im hitting my stride right now." One of those stumbles actually came in Vancouver when MacDonald (16-2) lost at UFC 115 in June 2010 to Carlos Condit. His only other defeat came to Robbie Lawler in a split decision at UFC 167 in November, but MacDonald rebounded to beat Demian Maia in a split decision at UFC 170 in February. "You pick and choose your spots. You play between defence and offence against other good fighters," said MacDonald. "I just had a great training camp. No injuries and things went great. I felt great in my sparrings and my techniques are sharp." Woodley (13-2), a two-time All-American wrestler at the University of Missouri, has just three UFC bouts under his belt, including a technical knockout victory over Condit at UFC 171 in March. MacDonald said if he fights to his strengths against Woodley, he should come out on top. "I know the techniques. They come out as instinct right now," said MacDonald. "Ive trained them so much. So Ive just got to go in there and do my thing. "Im ready for everything. Last time here was unbelievable, the response I got. If its the same, more, or less Ill be ready." In a era where athletes in all sports are constantly looking for an edge, MacDonald said he doesnt study video of his opponents before a fight, preferring to use his instincts. "Ive fought a lot of people in the past — never seen them, never heard of them and had to deal with their problems," he said. "I find it easier to do it like that, to react in the cage." MacDonald is hoping for the same against Woodley on Saturday night. "Hes a great fighter. To beat him you have to be tricky and use good techniques," he said. "I feel very confident in my abilities and the solutions I have." Keshawn Martin Patriots Jersey . Chan captured two silver medals at last months Sochi Winter Games — mens singles and the inaugural team event. But he doesnt have the urge to resume training to defend his world title when the event is held in Saitama, Japan, later this month. David Andrews Patriots Jersey . But the young forward is more than willing to shed a little blood if thats what it takes to make the team this season. "It caught me pretty good, dazed me for that shift, but I didnt want to be off the ice for too long," he said after practice, his lip still bleeding a little despite the plastic stitches holding it together. http://www.patriotsfanaticstore.com/authentic-geneo-grissom-patriots-jersey/ . Spezza scored a power-play goal with 5 minutes left and Stephane Da Costa had the other two goals to lead the Ottawa Senators to a 3-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday night.SAN ANTONIO -- Even though it was an ugly victory, the banged-up San Antonio Spurs were just happy to end a three-game losing streak given their troubling rash of recent injuries. Tim Duncan had 23 points and 17 rebounds, Tony Parker added 18 points and 10 assists, and San Antonio rallied past the skidding Sacramento Kings 95-93 on Saturday night. The win came in San Antonios final home game before departing for its annual "Rodeo Road Trip" that lasts nearly a month. "Its huge to start the road trip like that," Parker said. "We needed a win. Obviously we were in a little slump with those three losses. We wanted to get back on the right track." Patty Mills scored 15 points and Boris Diaw added 14 for San Antonio, which wont play at home again until Feb. 26 against Detroit. Despite playing Friday night against the Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento almost spoiled the going-away party for the Spurs. Isaiah Thomas had 26 points, Rudy Gay scored 23 and Derrick Williams added 14 for the Kings, who have lost seven straight. "Were playing the San Antonio Spurs; theyre going to make their runs," Gay said. "Theyre going to make tough plays. They do that time and time again. Its not were surprised that they did that. But we still had a chance to win and I still wish I had the shot back." After scoring 22 points primarily against Marco Belinelli, Gay was limited to one in the fourth with the 6-foot-8 Diaw guarding him. Gay missed a potential game-winning, 15-foot jumper over Diaw with 0.5 seconds remaining. "The rim. The rim," Gay said when asked what he saw on the final shot. "I mean, honestly, I wish I had that one back; I dont think I miss that too many other times." After being outplayed by Gay and Thomas for much of the game, the veteran Spurs took over down the stretch to end their longest losing streak of the season. Parker and Duncan scored San Antonios final eight points, but they also gave Sacramento hope by going 1 for 3 on free throws in the final 12 seconds. Duncan missed both his attempts with the Spurs clinging to a 94-93 lead. "Very, very, very (frustrating)," Duncan said. "Not many times I get that situation. Just disappointed I couldnt step up and knock them out." The Spurs were sluggish on offence with newly signed Shannon& Brown starting and Tiago Splitter returning from injury, giving them their third different starting lineup in three games. Marcus Cannon Patriots Jersey. Brown, signed to a 10-day contract, had two points and two rebounds in 14 minutes. "We need minutes," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "We have to use those minutes so that guys that know the system can be out there at the end of the game. Otherwise, theyre going to be too tired at the end. He gave us good minutes so that we could get everybody else in." San Antonio shot 6 for 20 in the third quarter while falling behind by as many as 10 points. Gay and Thomas matched that production themselves, going a combined 6 for 13 in the third. Williams first 3-pointer gave Sacramento a 76-66 lead with 2 minutes left in the third. Matt Bonner hit a 3 for the Spurs and a jumper that tied the game at 85 with 6 minutes remaining. Then he drove the lane for a runner off the glass after Thomas went flying past him at the 3-point line. That gave San Antonio an 87-85 lead, its first since early in the third quarter. "(Bonner) was great," Duncan said. "He stepped up and scored a bunch of points in a row for us. Made some plays for us. Its going to be big for guys to step up as we have people out." The Spurs are still without Manu Ginobili, Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green, but Splitters return lifted their spirits. Splitter scored only two points but grabbed four rebounds and helped solidify the teams interior defence. "It was great to be back on the court with the guys," Splitter said. "I wasnt that aggressive on offence, but I just tried to help the guys on defence with the coverage and helps. Most importantly, we won, so Im happy." The Kings were missing leading scorer DeMarcus Cousins, who sat out his sixth straight game due to a sprained left ankle. Gay and Thomas made up for his loss offensively, accounting for half of the teams 53 first-half points. NOTES: Splitter got his loudest ovation of the season when he was announced in the starting lineup after missing 12 games with a sprained right shoulder. He came off the bench in the second half. ... Cousins suited up but did not play. He is day to day. ... Ginobili (strained left hamstring), Leonard (broken hand) and Green (broken left index finger) all sat behind the Spurs bench. Garnett has gone from Daviess County Country Club and then Missouri Western State to leading at Hogans Alley after two rounds at Colonial. After starting with an eagle, Garnett shot a 4-under 66 on Friday and moved to 7-under 133. He had a one-stroke lead over long-putting Chris Stroud (64) and Robert Streb (6. "Im just keeping my head down and trying to make as many birdies as possible," Garnett said. "Im going to try to embrace it this weekend and have fun, and well see where we stand come Sunday." Adam Scott, playing as No. 1 in the world for the first time, had birdies on three of his last seven holes for a 68 to get to 1 under. He has made the cut in his last 34 PGA Tour events, the longest active streak. Matt Kuchar, ranked No. 4 in the world, had a chance to move to the top with a victory. But he missed the cut by a stroke at 2-over 142 after a 70. The 30-year-old Garnett is from Gallatin, Missouri, a town of about 1,800 people. He has only one top-10 finish in his 18 previous starts on the PGA Tour, and has never won on the Web.com Tour. This is the first time he has even been in the top 10 after the second or third round on the PGA Tour. "I think each and every week the rookies feel more comfortable. I know I have," Garnett said. You cant get down on yourself being a rookie. ... Its been fun, and Im learning each and every day." First-round leader Dustin Johnson (70) dropped into a seven-way tie for fourth at 5 under. That group also included Texas resident Jimmy Walker (6, a three-time winner this season and No. 1 in the FedEx Cup standings. Walker had a strange occurrence when his tee shot at the 17th hole appeared to nick a bird in flight — though the bird kept flying before Walker made another par. "We saw (the ball) fly the whole way and then it kind of disappeared over the ttrees," said Walker, the only player still without a bogey this week. Danilo Brazil Jersey. "I didnt see it." Stroud made five putts from over 20 feet, all coming in his last 12 holes. His made putts in the round combined for just under 221 feet, the most on the PGA Tour since Brent Geiberger covered 240 feet during the first round at Booz Allen in 2006. And Stroud did that using a new putter he picked up this week. "It has no lines on it. ... Ive been using another, but it had a bunch of lines on it," Stroud said. "I simplified my putting. Get over it, line up and try to bring the putter back square and back to the ball square at impact. Ive just been rolling it beautifully." Stroud drained a 16-footer on the 193-yard 13th hole, his third birdie of the day coming on his fourth hole. The Texas native was just getting started, with his first 20-footer coming at the par-3 16th when he made birdie from 23 1/2 feet. There was a 22-footer for birdie at the par-5 No. 1 hole, and he rolled in a 56-footer across the green at No. 4, the difficult 211-yard par 3. There was a 26-footer at No. 6 and yet another long birdie putt at his last par 3, a 34-footer at No. 8. "My driver has been bad. ... Ive hit it terrible the last two days. Really, really bad. But putted awesome," he said. "So I dont have to worry about the greens. I just need to get the ball on the greens. Usually its the opposite. I usually hit the ball really well and struggle to get the ball in the hole." On his final hole, the 406-yard dogleg-right ninth, Strouds approach was well left into a bleacher area near a concession stand. After a free drop and pitching to about 26 feet on the fringe, he two-putted from 26 feet for bogey. Tim Clark was 7 under and tied for the lead after four consecutive birdies only six holes into his round of 68. But he three-putted at the par-3 16th and didnt have another birdie until No. 9, his last hole, to get to 5 under and tied for fourth. NFL Jerseys China cheap jerseys ' ' '

IRVING, Texas - Anthony Spencer quietly worked his way back without knowing when he would return from left knee surgery that threatened his career. Alshon Jeffery Bears Jersey . The Dallas defensive end finally has an answer, or so it appears. Hes expected to play Sunday night against New Orleans, almost a year to the day since the microfracture procedure. Spencer played just one game last season after dealing with the troublesome knee throughout the 2013 off-season. He had surgery last Oct. 1. The 30-year-old Spencer skipped practice Friday and was listed as questionable a day after defensive co-ordinator Rod Marinelli said he was likely to play. He went through limited workouts earlier in the week. The eighth-year player isnt likely to see many snaps against the Saints, but the Dallas front four can use the help. The defensive line has just half a sack, and the team only three, through three games. The Cowboys (2-1) are facing Drew Brees, who was sacked just once total in games against Dallas the past two years. He threw for 838 yards with seven touchdowns and no interceptions, in part because he was rarely bothered in the pocket. Its coming at a point in time where we need his strength with his pass rush, cornerback Brandon Carr said. His ability to get off the ball will be big for us if we can find a way to get him into the game and get him after the quarterback. Spencer, who wasnt available in the locker room Friday, had a career-high 11 sacks his last full season in 2012, which was the second of consecutive years under the franchise tag. He earned $10.6 million a year ago, but is getting just $250,000 guaranteed in his current $1.25 million deal signed late in free agency because of uncertainty over his recovery. It has been a long year and a lot of hard work on his part, said his agent, Jordan Woy. It was major surgery and you never know how a player will recover. But he has put in the sacrificial hours to get back to being football-ready. Spencer never put a timetable on a return, always telling reporters he would simply wait until his body felt the time was right. The Cowboys decided not to put him on the physically unable to perform list to start the season, which would have meant missing six games. Hes a pretty reserved person, Carr said. His work ethic speaks for itself. Whatever peaks and valleys he went through, he fought it out to this point now where we can get him for a big game Sunday night. When he started his recovery, Spencer couldnt be sure this day would come. NOTES: LB Rolando McClain (groin) practiced for the first time in two weeks and was listed as questionable along with DT Henry Melton (groin), who practiced for the first time this week. ... DT Terrell McClain (concussion) missed practice all week but was listed as questionable rather than doubtful. David Fales Bears Jersey . Saskatchewans Darian Durant is expected to miss the rest of the Roughriders season with a torn tendon in his right elbow. The 32-year-old, who will undergo surgery in the next couple days to repair the injury, was added to the teams six-game injury list Tuesday. Dick Butkus Bears Jersey . You can watch all the action on TSN and TSN GO beginning at 8:30pm et/5:30pm pt. Minnesota dropped the first two tests of this best-of-seven set at Chicagos United Center and was outscored by a combined 9-3 margin in those setbacks. Stokes and athletic director Stan Wilcox announced the decision late Friday night. There had been criticism that the original punishment for Winstons latest embarrassing off-field incident was too light. The statement released by the university Friday read, Based upon the results of our continuing investigation of Tuesdays incident involving Jameis Winston, we have decided to not play him for the entire game against Clemson on Saturday night.Several students tweeted Winston stood on campus and shouted a lascivious comment that may have derived from an internet meme.A university spokeswoman told The Associated Press Friday night Stokes was not available for comment; Wilcox could not be reached. The university also had initially announced that Winston would face internal discipline. Officials did not say why Winston was only benched for just a half and they did not provide details of the internal punishment.Coach Jimbo Fisher was asked about the half-game suspension after practice Thursday and said, Were in charge. Its our team. Thats what we thought. We went with the consequences and were ready to move on.Fisher also said after that practice that the president and athletic director are always involved in university policy, but declined to answer when asked if its normal for them to be involved in team discipline. It was wrong and he made a mistake, Fisher said Thursday. He made a bad error in judgment. But thats water under the bridge. We have to move on and get ready for this game. Were 48 hours out and Im going to focus on this football game. The 20-year-old Winston addressed his inappropriate comments before Wednesdays practice: I have to tone it dowwn. Pernell McPhee Bears Jersey. The Heisman Trophy winner has made similar comments after previous incidents. While playing for the Florida State baseball team, he was suspended for three games and completed 20 hours of community service after acknowledging he stole $32 worth of crab legs from a local grocery store in April. Before the football season, he said he had matured, learned what it takes to be a leader and understood that he needed to be more careful in his personal life. The school president and AD are admonishing him for doing just the opposite. You know you have to overcome adversity, and thats one thing at Florida State that we do, Winston said Wednesday. We work on overcoming adversity. When I do get my opportunity to play, Im going to do everything I can because I have to accept it.Thats going to eat me up because I want to be out there on the field. I want to be out on the field with my team, but I did something so I have to accept the consequences.Little known redshirt sophomore Sean Maguire will make his first college start for the top-ranked Seminoles in Saturdays nationally televised game against No. 22 Clemson. He has only thrown 26 career passes and was the No. 3 quarterback before Jacob Coker was injured in 2013 then transferred to Alabama.I wouldnt say its a distraction, maybe at the time, Maguire said Thursday about the incident. Maybe for the first little bit, but once the news came out, practiced happened yesterday. It makes me more confident knowing I get to go out there and play quarterback like we do in practice, like we do every day. Im just looking forward to it, thats all I can say.Florida State is trying to repeat as national champions and the winner of the Clemson-Florida State matchup has played in the Atlantic Coast Conference title game the last five years. Saturday will be the first game Florida State has played without Winston since the start of 2013 and they are 16-0 during that stretch. NFL Jerseys China cheap jerseys ' ' '

LOS ANGELES -- The Arizona Diamondbacks kept within striking distance all game, but when the big hit was needed, they came up short again and again. Laquon Treadwell Vikings Jersey . The Diamondbacks had the tying run in scoring position and only one out in both the eighth and ninth innings, but couldnt score and fell 4-3 to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night. "We got a couple hits and had some good A-Bs, we just couldnt get anything going with runners in scoring position," Arizona shortstop Chris Owings said. "We were in it the whole game. We just needed that big hit and couldnt get it tonight." The Diamondbacks tagged Dodgers pitching for 13 hits, but it wasnt enough to prevent their third straight loss. Clayton Kershaw held them down for seven innings, allowing eight hits but only one run with seven strikeouts. It was a redemptive outing for the reigning NL Cy Young Award winner after Arizona ripped him for seven runs in just 1 2/3 innings the last time they met. He had won his last three starts since that outing. "You hope to not have any of those clunkers in a season but it happens obviously," he said. "I dont know if Im on a roll or whatever but its been going well." The Diamondbacks rallied as soon as Kershaw left the game. Three of their first four batters in the eighth singled against reliever Brian Wilson, including a one-out RBI single by Tuffy Gosewich that brought them within one. But J.P Howell entered and struck out David Peralta and got Miguel Montero to fly out to end the threat. Justin Turner extended the Dodgers lead in the bottom of the inning with a pinch-hit RBI single to right to score A.J. Ellis from second. The knock extended Turners modest hitting streak to six games and would prove valuable when the Diamondbacks once again staged a rally in the ninth against Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen. Gerardo Parra got the comeback attempt started with a one-out single, Paul Goldschmidt walked and Aaron Hill followed with a single through the left side to score Parra and cut the deficit to 4-3. Jansen buckled down and escaped further damage though, striking out Martin Prado and inducing Cody Ross to fly out to right to end the game and record his 18th save. The Diamondbacks stranded 12 runners on base in the contest and were just 3 for 14 with runners in scoring position. "You look at it and it was a one run game the whole way," Owings said. "We just couldnt get it done." Matt Kemp got the scoring started when he crushed a 2-1 changeup deep into the bleachers in left-centre field in the second to put the Dodgers up 2-0. The blast, measured at 402 feet, was Kemps first home run since May 10. "That was big for us," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said. "Weve struggled to score early and been getting behind a lot early here at home. It was good for us to get out to a lead." Aaron Hill cut the deficit in half in the top of the third, smacking a grounder down the third-base line just under the glove of a diving Chone Figgins for an RBI double. After that Kershaw went into lockdown mode. He allowed only four baserunners the rest of the game, none of which passed second base. "I think hes been pretty good except (for one start this year)," Mattingly said. "Hes the same old Clayton, right where we want him to be." The Dodgers win spoiled Diamondbacks rookie Chase Andersons bid to make history. Anderson (5-1) was trying to become just the second National League pitcher since 1914 to win his first six career starts. Instead, he suffered his first career loss after allowing five hits and two runs in five innings, with four walks and four strikeouts. NOTES: The Dodgers reinstated C A.J. Ellis from the DL before the game and optioned C Tim Federowicz to Triple-A Albuquerque. .The Diamondbacks recalled OF Tony Campana from Triple-A Reno and placed OF Ender Inciarte on the 7-day concussion DL. . A video tribute commemorating the career of former Dodgers RHP Bob Welch was shown before the game. Welch, who pitched for Los Angeles from 1978-1987, passed away Tuesday at the age of 57. The fourth-seeded Swiss didnt face a break point in a 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 triumph over Slovakian Lukas Lacko on Court Chatrier. Federer won 39 of 44 points on first serve, swatted seven aces and held a lopsided edge in winners (40-13). The 2009 French Open champ was pleased to get off to a good start. "Theres always that little bit of feeling that if you dont feel well, if the opponent plays great and whatever happens, you could lose early. I was happy getting early signs out of the match that I was actually playing well and I was going to get my chances," said Federer, who is seeking a record-extending 18th Grand Slam title. Lacko, who was broken five times, has lost in the opening round 14 times in 20 major appearances. FIVE QUICK NBA HOOPS THOUGHTS Happy Holidays to all. http://www.chargersfansofficial.com/keenan-allen-jersey/ . May each of you have a wonderful Holiday Season. Lets chat some hoops. 1. JOSE CALDERON (Mavericks): Loved what I saw from him last Friday night in Dallas. Tremendous confidence right now in his shooting which sets the table for his screen and roll game. Playing in the back court with Monta Ellis has opened up his game and having a future Hall of Famer in Dirk Nowitzki to attract double teams is ideal for him. Good landing spot for him. 2. MARCO BELINELLI (Spurs): Another former Raptor. Boy, the Bulls could sure use him now with their offensive woes. Terrific pickup for his new team. Hes got three-point shooting ability and nifty creativity off the bounce. Good competitor that fits the best System team in the league. Isnt it amazing? The Spurs always find a way to add a guy who makes sense for their team. They know what theyre doing. 3. JOHN SALMONS (Raptors): Its funny how guys grow on you when you see them at work each day. I have a better appreciation of his game up close. Always respected his scoring punch yet never appreciated how smart a player he is. He is a sound defender and can create scoring chances for teammates. Heady and capable player. 4. ARRON AFFLALO (Magic): His name gets tossed around in trade talks yet he produces. A steady combo guard who has good versatility in his game. Like him. Energetic guy who can put pressure on defences. If youre looking to add a third guard on a very good team hes an ideal guy to target. 5. JEREMY LAMB (Thunder): Scott Brooks now has more firepower off his bench with Reggie Jackson and this guy. Shooting right around 40 per cent from three-point range and is getting more confident in playing in the lane with physical contact. Uses screens well and moves without the ball with a purpose. Big part of the James Harden trade for GM Sam Presti. Hes slowing his game down, reading situations better and becoming more efficient. Hes going to be an important piece to their success as this season progresses. http://www.chargersfansofficial.com/jahleel-addae-jersey/ .A. remained bitter for Henrik Lundqvist and the Rangers on the long flight back home to New York. http://www.chargersfansofficial.com/lance-alworth-jersey/ . -- So much for concern that running back Marshawn Lynch would be absent from the Seattle Seahawks minicamp. http://www.chargersfansofficial.com/kellen-clemens-jersey/ .Y. -- Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire will have less time to remain eligible for the Hall of Fame ballot under changes made Saturday.Sky Sports’ David Tanner has been reflecting on his time with Dutch great Johan Cruyff, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 68. If you dont play football to entertain the people, then whats the point of playing at all? - Johan Cruyff. One quote. One man and his ethos summed-up. I became acquainted with Cruyff over many years of interviewing him when he visited Scotland to play golf and I was also invited to meet him at his foundation in Barcelona. His views were always thought provoking, relevant and, unlike many footballers and administrators in this age of PR non-speak, he spoke his mind. And then some. A meeting with the former Netherlands international was, for me, the journalistic highlight of any year. Cruyff plays against Rangers for Ajax at Ibrox in the European Super Cup - but he chose not to play domestically in Scotland If a man was a business - and Johan made all aspects of football his business - that quote he gave me about entertaining football could easily have served as the Cruyff corporation mission statement. It certainly fits his approach through the various stages of his career as a football man: player, captain, coach, director, commentator, entrepreneur, visionary and, through the auspices of his foundation, a social benefactor and football missionary. His interviews, if he was in the mood, ran long and always had the feel of a sermon. This is my way and my way is the right way. You did not have to show blind faith to believe in this messiah - the evidence was there for all to see. As a player he won three consecutive European Cups with Ajax, before coaching Barcelona to their first European Cup win, laying out the plans for the Nou Camp sides youth system and style of play that produced the greatest team - a sequence of them now, actually - in the history of club football. Dutch legend Cruyff dies Dutch legend Johan Cruyff has died after a long battle with lung cancer at the age of 68. Without Cruyff there is no tiki-taka and, who knows, Lionel Messi may have just been an entertainer in a good side rather than the shining jewel in Barcelonas crown.I last spoke to Cruyff in the splendour of The Old Course Hotel in St Andrews after he had finished his round in the Dunhill Championship last October. He was late for our interview but this was no great surprise as word had reached me that he had been slow to get around the course. Cruyff in quotes Johan Cruyff: The Barcelona and Netherlands legend in quotes It did not seem important at the time, but the suggestion around the golf course was that it had been a struggle for the 68-year old to finish his round. Cruyff, with trademark confidence (I never found him to be arrogant), strode into the Road Hole restaurant looking fit and wearing a pair of his own brand of stylish trainers. He presented the figure of a strong and healthy man, which was at odds with the rumours of him finding his four-ball a test. I was genuinely shocked, therefore, to discover that days after our conversation, he had been given bad news by cancer specialists. Sky Sports’ David Tanner during a meeting with Johan Cruyff When I read the statement he issued just last month, I was convinced he was standing up bravely to cancer if he felt he was 2-0 up and promised that he would hold on to win his match with the disease. As a player, Cruyff was not as protected by the rules as Messi is now. The ban on the tackle from behind was introduced a decade after Cruyff had hung up his boots, outlawed after another Dutch icon Marco van Basten had been hacked into early retirement.A couple of years ago, I took former Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood to the Dunhill to meet Cruyff. After Calderwood had almost been knocked off his feet by the strength of a Ruud Gullit embrace, he steadied himself in time to hear the shout of CALDA-VOOD as Johan made a bee-line for him.Calderwood, like Cruyff, had taken his coaching badges under the legendary Rinus Michels at the Dutch FA and the Glaswegian played for Sparta Rotterdam against a veteran Cruyff in the Eredivisie. He admitted: Louis van Gaal [Calderwoods midfield team-mate] and I tried to kick him! Cruyff laughed at the memory before adding: I jumped over the tackles...easily.If Calderwood and Van Gaal could not stop him in his tracks, Cruyffs smoking habit did catch up with him in later life. Cruyff won three Ballon dOrs during the 1970s Ex-Aberdeen and Manchester City striker Duncan Davidson told me recently he had turned out for Toronto Blizzards against Cruyff, who played in the old North American Soccer League for LA Aztecs and Washington Diplomats. Duncy was the last Blizzards player out after the interval and was surprised to see a cloud of cigarette smoke in the tunnel.Cruyff was responsible for the pollution and was happy to keep the rest of the players waiting uuntil he had finished his cigarette. http://www.chargersfansofficial.com/d-j-fluker-jersey-2/. Davidson was surprised that a top athlete was such a heavy smoker. He was amazed when Cruyff then scored from the centre circle from the re-start.The greatness of Hendrik Johannes Cruyff is all the more startling when put into historical context; he was only the third full-time professional football player in the Netherlands. I noticed that he smiled when he spoke about that historical curiosity. The KNVB had resisted calls for the introduction of professionalism until the mid-1950s but those first pro-contracts were part-time arrangements. Had Cruyff been born just a few months earlier, his development could have been stunted by the semi-professional players need to divide sporting activities with work outside the game. His timing was always immaculate, of course. Cruyff changed football Johan Cruyff changed the shape of football forever through his philosophy, says Guillem Balague With his formative years played out against a backdrop of revolution in the Dutch game, it is perhaps no surprise that he was not short of an opinion on how the game should be played. And he certainly knew how to deliver his views. The quote at the start of this article was typical of his many bites at Jose Mourinho. Cruyff accused the former Real Madrid boss of having a win at all costs approach to the game which was the polar opposite of his footballing vision. In our last sit down in October, he surveyed the flux at Chelsea and blamed the extraordinary collapse of the defending Premier League champions on Joses ego and what Cruyff felt was his desire to be centre of the attention at his club. Some famous names from the game pay their respects to Johan Cruyff He said: Its probably because of his background, where he has never been cheered by 100,000 people, or whistled at by 100,000 people. Maybe its because of that, maybe because of the interest from the press, but I dont think he is educating children to play football or educating for life.Even Lionel Messi was not exempt from a tongue-lashing. Cruyff felt it wrong that the worlds greatest player could not speak English, saying: Barcelona is a global club. Messi is a global player. So he should learn to speak to everybody using the language of the world - English. He loathed Mourinhos behaviour but Cruyff adored Josep Guardiola.Cruyff told me of his first meeting with the teenage Pep upon taking the head coachs job at the Nou Camp in 1988: I was being given a tour of the training facilities. I asked one of the coaches who he thought was the best youth player at the club. The answer was Guardiola. At the time he was in the third team! I immediately promoted him to play with the better players. The Barcelona team celebrate after beating Sampdoria 1-0 to win the 1992 European Cup final He told me of his regrets at not being able to play in England and the wonderful ambience of the stadiums in Britain. He had offers but deals did not quite come off. In the early 1980s, Leicester Citys Jock Wallace tried to lure him to Filbert Street after falling in love with the player while watching him play for Ajax against his Rangers side in the first European Super Cup in 1972.Around the same time, Scottish Division One side Dumbarton made a bold attempt to sign the Dutch great. Manager Sean Fallon, assistant to Jock Stein when Celtic lifted the European Cup, travelled to meet Cruyff in Holland but, despite considering the unlikely move, he spurned Dumbartons offer.I was shocked and saddened by Johan Cruyffs death and will miss my annual drink with him in the Old Course Hotel, but I suspect we will all be cheered by watching his legacy in action when his star pupil, Pep, takes over at Manchester City next season. Another member of Barcelonas 1992 European Cup-winning Dream Team, Ronald Koeman, is already sprinkling some of the Cruyff stardust on the Premier League with Southampton.Footballs greatest visionary will still inspire on-field greatness long after his passing. CLEVELAND -- With seven games still left this month, Jason Kipnis has already surpassed his statistics from last April. http://www.vikingsteamofficial.com/audie-cole-jersey/ . That wasnt hard to do. "I set the bar so low," he said. Kipnis drove in Nick Swisher from first base with a two-out double in the seventh inning, sending the Cleveland Indians to a 5-3 win over the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday night. Kipnis, who batted just .200 with one homer and four RBIs in the seasons first month in 2013, ripped his double off Kelvin Herrera (0-1) into the gap in right-centre, deep enough to easily score Swisher, who reached on a two-out single. "That was a real big hit," Indians manager Terry Francona said. "Sometimes you need a big hit at a big time and we got it tonight." Kipnis has become big time. After shaking off his horribly slow start last season, he made his first All-Star team, batted .284 and developed into one of the ALs top all-around players. So, when he came up in another clutch situation, it wasnt surprising to any of the Indians that Kipnis came through. Kipnis signed a six-year, $52.5 million contract on opening day and hes wasted no time in living up to the deal. "I think he has less far to climb this year," Francona said. "He really dug himself a hole last year. Hes always a threat, whether its against a left-hander or right-hander. He can hit the ball all over the field or out of the ballpark. He can beat you with his legs. "I dont really look up and see what Kips batting average is, we want him hitting all the time." The Indians tacked on an important insurance run in the eighth on pinch-hitter Lonnie Chisenhalls bloop RBI single. Bryan Shaw (1-0) finished the seventh and got one out in the eighth. Cody Allen retired two, and John Axford worked the ninth for his AL-leading eighth save. Michael Bourn had three hits and two RBIs for the Indians. Bourn, Nick Swisher and Kipnis, Clevelands 1-2-3 hitters, combined for six hits and three RBIs. Salvador Perez and Mike Moustakas hit back-to-back homers in the second for Kansas City. Indians starter Justin Masterson remained winless through five starts. The staffs ace, who turned down a contract extension during spring training, allowed two earned runs and eight hits in 6 1-3 innings. "Ill take as many no-decisions as come as long as were winning," he said. Down 3-2, the Indians tied it in the sixth off lefty starter Jason Vargas when Michael Brantley scored from first on two Kansas City errors. Brantley singled with one out, and broke for second with two down and Yan Gomes batting. As Brantley slid safely into second, the throw from catcher Perez skipped into centre field. Brantley hustled toward third and centre fielder Jarrod Dyson took his eye off the ball, overrunning it and letting the tying run score. "I came in too hard," Dyson said. "I should have come in and played it off the hop because I probably didnt have a shot at him anyway. I have to remind myself to slow the body down. I came in crashing like that. When you have two outs and your pitcher up there doing his thing you kind of have to settle down and not make that mistake." Moustakas gave the Royals a 3-2 lead in the sixth, when an error by second baseman Kipnis helped set up Kansas Citys unearned go-ahead run. Eric Hosmer singled and was safe at second after Kipnis dropped shortstop Asdrubal Cabreras low throw. Hosmer moved to third on a fielders choice and Moustakas delivered his two-out RBI single. Bourn atoned for a baserunning blunder with a two-run triple in the second to tie it 2-2. Perez and Moustakas connected in the second off Masterson. With one out, Perez snapped an 0-for-22 slump with a drive over the centre-field wall for his first homer. Four pitches later, Moustakas made it 2-0 with a liner into the Royals bullpen, the same place he hit a three-run shot on Tuesday in Kansas Citys 8-2 win. NOTES: Sloppy play has been one of Clevelands main problems. The Indians came in tied for the AL lead with 20 errors. "As a team, we have not played very good defence yet," Francona said. "I think we will be better. We need to be better. Were that type of team where when we play clean baseball, we generally give ourselves a chance to win. When you give a team extra outs or extra opportunities, it certainly makes it tougher." ... Indians 3B/DH Carlos Santana is in a 2-for-46 (.043) slide. ... He said only three of FIFAs 209 member federations nominated him by last Thursdays deadline. The four contenders will now undergo integrity checks by FIFAs ethics committee, and have their nomination papers scrutinized by the oversight panel. The election panel expects to formally admit and declare the candidates who are eligible for the office of FIFA President in about two weeks. The election will be held May 29 at FIFAs congress in Zurich.Blatter, who will turn 79 before election day, is seeking a fifth term in office to extend his 17-year reign. The veteran Swiss official, who has worked for FIFA since 1975, is strongly favoured to win. UEFA, which has 53 voting members, is the only one among six continental bodies actively opposing Blatter. The campaign kicks off largely as Blatter vs. European interests.Prince Ali and Figo have been encouraged to run by UEFA and its president, Michel Platini, while Van Praag is a member of UEFAs executive committee.Champagne criticized Platini, who deciided last August not to run against former mentor Blatter. http://www.vikingsteamofficial.com/paul-krause-jersey/. The script of the next few weeks and months calls for proxy candidates to wage the battles that others did not have the courage to fight, said Champagne, whose departure as FIFA international relations director in 2010 was forced in part by Platini.Of the four contenders, only Van Praag has so far set out specific ideas. The 67-year-old Dutch federation president has called for expanding the 32-team World Cup to include more non-European teams, and has promised to serve just a single four-year term to modernize FIFA.Van Praag has asked Blatter to step aside and has offered him an advisory role, including running a charitable foundation to give less privileged children opportunities in football.Dutch great Johan Cruyff on Monday described former Ajax president Van Praag as somebody you can count on.In his column Monday in top-selling Dutch daily De Telegraaf, Cruyff wrote he is watching the FIFA presidential campaign from the sidelines, but if Van Praag asks for my support, hell get it.Four years ago, Blatter suggested Cruyff join a proposed council of FIFA advisers alongside Henry Kissinger and Placido Domingo. The idea was dropped.Prince Ali, the FIFA vice-president for Asia, is uncertain of widespread support in his home region. The Asian Football Confederation has long stated its support for Blatter. The prince is scheduled to host a campaign launch in London on Tuesday. NFL Jerseys China cheap jerseys ' ' '

ST. Jerseys NFL Wholesale . LOUIS -- Lance Lynn has been among the best first-half pitchers in the majors since cracking the St. Louis Cardinals rotation in 2011, reaching double-figure win totals before the All-Star break all three seasons. The Los Angeles Dodgers saw a pitcher determined to finish strong, too. Lynn won his third straight start Friday night, leading the Cardinals to a 3-2 victory. "Im not worried about the rest of the season," Lynn said. "Im just worried about my next start -- whenever that may be." Lynn is 33-15 with a 3.54 ERA before the All-Star break and 12-9 with a 3.91 ERA after the break. Hes been among the pitchers getting the most run support, too. Manager Mike Matheny repeated his assertion that Lynn (11-6) is "one of the most underrated pitchers in the game." "Despite what anybody else thinks, hes got a lot of wins and theres a reason," Matheny said. "Its because hes got great stuff." Matt Holliday homered and doubled with three RBIs in support of Lynn. Kolten Wong had two hits and scored on both of Hollidays RBI hits for the Cardinals against the team they beat in the NLCS last fall. They have won six of eight and remained a game behind the Brewers for the NL Central lead. "Really, I just kept my approach simple and tried to hit the ball hard back through the middle of the field," Holliday said. "I dont get ahead of myself. Ive learned playing this long to take this thing day to day." A.J. Ellis had an RBI double for the Dodgers, battling the Giants for the NL West lead. They remained offensively challenged coming out of the All-Star break, totalling 10 runs the last six games. Hollidays seventh homer, estimated at 435 feet to straightaway centre, came off Dan Haren (8-7). Lynn gave up two runs on four hits in six-plus innings. He struck out nine and worked around four walks, which tied his season high. Lynn has 44 wins the last three seasons, one behind Cardinals ace Adam Wainwright for most in the league. He bounced back from season worsts of two innings and six earned runs at Los Angeles on June 28 before leaving with a blister. "I thought he used his breaking ball more. I dont think he used his curveball in L.A. hardly at all," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said. "It looked like it took us a while to get going." Haren piled up 99 pitches in 4 2-3 innings, allowing three runs on eight hits, and is among the National League leaders with 20 homers allowed. Hes totalled 8 2-3 innings his last two starts and has lost his last three outings overall. "I made a bad pitch to Holliday," Haren said. "I actually didnt make that many mistakes. It seemed like everything they hit in the air was falling, and there was nothing I could do." The Dodgers left the bases loaded in the third when Matt Kemp struck out. The Cardinals stranded three in the fourth when Lynn bounced out after an intentional walk to Tony Cruz. Consecutive doubles by Juan Uribe and Ellis leading off the seventh chased Lynn. Ellis scored on a wild pitch to cut the deficit to one. The Dodgers stranded two against Pat Neshek in the eighth and Trevor Rosenthal had two strikeouts in a perfect ninth for his 29th save in 33 chances. NOTES: The pairing for Saturday is Zack Greinke (11-5, 2.73), coming off his second All-Star nod, against Joe Kelly (1-1, 3.44), making his second start coming off the DL from a hamstring injury. Greinke has won his last four starts against the Cardinals and is 9-3 with a 2.93 ERA for his career against them. ... Mattingly didnt mind Kemp saying he was open to a trade if he didnt get regular playing time in a published report during the break. "The headline catches your eye and you read it and you go, Its not that big of a deal," Mattingly said. Mattingly also didnt mind that Kemp wanted to play centre field, saying "Thats fine, he can view himself however he wants. Im playing him in left." ... Holliday reached 1,000 career RBIs last month. ... The Cardinals have won their first home game after the All-Star break seven straight seasons. Cheap Jerseys USA . Wholesale NFL Jerseys . -- Maple Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf has been suspended two games for his hit from behind on Kevan Miller of the Bruins. http://www.cheapnflchinajerseys.us/ .The Hamilton Tiger-Cat defensive back always has the required receipt. But he also walks around with a tangle of metal screws, rods and plates after breaking his neck in 2006 playing high school football in Louisiana.DETROIT – Randy Carlyle made sure he was being asked about James Reimer after a one-goal loss in Detroit, pausing before he offered an assessment of the now 26-year-old understudy. “I thought he was okay, you know, just okay,” said Carlyle with a tone of evident frustration after a 3-2 defeat to the injury-riddled Red Wings squad, the Leafs third in the past four games. Long a point of stability this season Toronto goaltending has suddenly been thrown into question with Carlyles remarks, Reimers performance and the uncertain status of injured no. 1 Jonathan Bernier. Starting in place of Bernier for the second straight game – his fourth consecutive appearance – Reimer allowed three goals on 31 shots, including a game-sealing squeaker under the left arm from Daniel Alfredsson with the Leafs down one in the final minutes of regulation. It was the kind of stop Bernier has made routinely this season, one that Reimer needed to make at that point in the game and perhaps what soured Carlyle most afterward, Torontos comeback attempt ultimately falling short. “So he said I was just okay,” said Reimer, responding to Carlyles comments. “I thought I played good, but obviously youd like to make at least one of those saves in the third.” Such blunt discontent was certainly out of character for Carlyle, who rarely, if ever, singles out any one player, even under the most obvious of circumstances. He was surely agitated by the loss – which saw the Leafs drop further behind Tampa and Montreal in the race for second in the Atlantic – unhappy with the officiating and displeased with a schedule that has his club right back at it Wednesday following 10 long days on the road. To land Reimer in the cross-hairs though on this night was unfair. His team started slowly opposite a Detroit squad that was missing a slew of key components, including Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk. They also suffered breakdowns – Tim Gleason and Paul Ranger both caught flat-footed at the offensive blue-line – that led to Nyquists two breakaways, while also managing just two goals for the third time in four games (all losses). Whatever his motivation the remarks wont help a sketchy dynamic between coach and player, one that includes a very public stare-down from Reimer in the first period of a loss to these same Red Wings on Dec. 21. Further inflaming the matter afterward were the words of Reimers agent and close friend Ray Petkau, who tweeted, "As is customary in Toronto, when your team plays poor defensively game after game you blame your goalie." Petkau later said the tweet was not in response to Carlyles comments. Doubted and dissected often throughout his Toronto tenure and a restricted free agent to be in the summer of 2014, Reimer will probably use this latest bit of critique as motivation and for the Leafs that may be a good thing. Bernier remains out for the foreseeable future (more on that in Five Points) leaving Reimer as the go-to guy in goal with key division battles ahead against the Lightning and Canadiens. They need him to regain the form he showed last year and displayed recently in relief against the Kings, a brilliant performance that saw him turn aside all 31 shots he faced in an impressive road win. “I dont know if I was great and I would like to be great, but I thought I made some good saves when I needed to,” Reimer concluded of his evening. “Unfortunately at the end, especially that third one, you want to come and make a big save for your team there. Unfortunately wasnt the case tonight.” Five Points 1. Kessel Cools Off Cooling off from an unsustainably scorching stretch that saw him post 31 points in a 17-game span, Phil Kessel had seven shots and was a force against the Red Wings, but ultimately went point-less for the fourth straight game and sixth time in the past eight. Its the fifth time this season that the 26-year-old has gone three games or more without a point. The Leafs are now 6-19-2 on such occasions, two of those wins coming in recent weeks against the Flyers and Kings. Chasing the first 40-goal season of his NHL career – he has 34 currently – Kessel has just one goal in the past eight games. James van Riemsdyk, who thrived through a recent stretch of 11 goals and 21 points in 17 games, has also cooled some, snapping a seven-game drought with the late marker in Detroit. The Leafs have leaned heavily on their top line – which also includes Tyler Bozak – for offence, needing the likes of Nazem Kadri (two goals in the past 13 games), Joffrey Lupul (two goals in the past 13), David Clarkson (one in the past 22) and Mason Raymond (the hottest of the group with six in the past 15) to chip in regularly for support. Aside from the odd contribution, however, theyve not done so consistently. Toronto forwards were responsible for only five goals (of 12) during the five-game road trip. 2. Road Trip A road trip that began with so much promise for the Leafs – following wins in Anaheim and Los Angeles – soured at the end with losses in Washington and Detroit. Toronto finishes the season-long swing with a 2-3-0 mark, not bad, but hardly desirable.. Cheap Jerseys Online. “I wouldnt call it a success,” said Jake Gardiner, who scored for the fourth time in the past six games. “We were thinking three out of five wouldve been good. Two of five is okay. Games on the road are always tough, something we have to move on from.” “This game and the last game I dont think that we played as well as we have been playing or can play so thats the negative about it,” said Carlyle. “But we battled back, we didnt quit, we found a way to get two goals tonight and make a game of it. Flush this and get ready for tomorrow.” The Leafs have played two more games than the Lightning, whom they host Wednesday, and trail them by a point. They sit three back of the Canadiens, whom they face at home on Saturday. 3. Wearing Down? Second and third among Toronto forwards in ice-time this season and both key members of Team USA at the Sochi Olympics, one might be led to wonder whether Kessel and van Riemsdyk are simply wearing down at this late stage in the season. Both have seen their ice-time rise (slightly) in March as the Leafs trend toward an 11-forward, seven-defender lineup. Kessel, who had a second period breakaway attempt stopped by Jimmy Howard, actually entered the night as the team-leader in ice-time this month, averaging more than 22 minutes. van Riemsdyk was just a touch behind at nearly 22 himself. “Its been very demanding,” said Carlyle of the schedule and its effects on playing time. “Its the first time in my career that you go out on a 10-day road trip and you come back and youve got to play back-to-back at home with your first game back. I dont know where that one comes from.” van Riemsdyk led all Toronto forwards this night with more than 22 minutes, Kessel a shade behind with just under 21, including exactly nine minutes in the third. Carlyle employed eight forwards for most of that final frame as the Leafs looked to even the score. 4. Bernier Status Nursing a groin injury, Bernier remained off the ice for the fifth consecutive day on Tuesday. He then missed his second straight game in Detroit and will sit out again at home on Wednesday when the Leafs host the Lightning. With a likely day off for the team on Thursday, his status for the weekend also appears in real doubt with a back-to-back looming against the Canadiens and Devils. That would mean a return next week at the earliest, all of which ups the pressure on Reimer to perform. “Theres always going to be that push to get your people back,” said Carlyle ahead of a tilt against the Red Wings. “Bottom line is the player makes the decision. All we can do is treat him medically, provide him with the right environment, give him the opportunity to test his injury if hes good enough to go and well make the decision based upon input from him the player.” Though hes split each and every back-to-back set between his two goaltenders this season, Carlyle would be hard-pressed to not come back with Reimer on Wednesday even in light of Tuesdays circumstance. Though hes enjoyed a fine season with the Marlies, Drew MacIntyre has yet to start an NHL game. 5. Phaneuf Scare Upended by the stick of David Legwand in the final frame of Tuesdays affair, Dion Phaneuf remained down on the ice before quickly departing for the Toronto dressing room. He returned to the bench a few moments later, chirping at ref Dan OHalloran for the non-call on Legwand. “Theres no point in talking about it,” said Phaneuf afterward. “It wasnt a slew foot, it was actually a stick, but its done and over with.” The Leafs captain said he had the wind knocked out of him on the play. Brandon Browner Seahawks Jersey . Medlen allowed four hits over 7 1-3 scoreless innings to win his fourth straight start, leading the Braves to a 2-1 win over the San Diego Padres on Saturday night. The first-place Braves increased their lead over second-place Washington to 11 games. Any combination of four Braves wins or Nationals losses will give Atlanta its first division title since 2005. Medlen (14-12) has enjoyed a strong resurgence after a slow start. He went 1-6 over the first two months of the season but is 8-2 in his last 10 games. In 2012, Medlen moved into the rotation on July 31 and then was 9-0 with a 0.97 ERA in 12 starts. "Whether Im a second-half guy or whatever it is, I just feel like Ive clicked," Medlen said. The Braves led 2-0 before Chase Headley hit a ninth-inning homer off closer Craig Kimbrel, who then pitched around a two-out walk to Ronny Cedeno for his career-best 47th save -- the most in the majors. Freddie Freeman had three hits, including a sixth-inning homer off Robbie Erlin (2-3), to help the Braves earn their first win of the season over the Padres. San Diego won the first four games of the season series. Medlens surge has been especially important after staff leader Tim Hudson broke his right ankle on July 25 and was lost for the season. Medlen, Mike Minor and Julio Teheran have taken over atop the rotation. Is Medlen, the staff leader in wins, the Braves emerging ace? "I think there are a lot of guys you could say that about," manager Fredi Gonzalez said. "I think his last four starts have been really, really good. Maybe more than that." Medlen looked like an ace to Padres manager Bud Black. "Hes their guy," Black said. "Hes won 14 games. Obviously, theyre on their way to the playoffs. I suspect that hell be their first-game pitcher." Medlen, who had five strikeouts and two walks, was removed after allowing a bloop single to Will Venable with one out in the eighth. David Carpenter recorded the final two outs of the inning. Kimbrel overcaame Headleys leadoff homer in the ninth. Malcolm Smith Seahawks Jersey. After striking out Kyle Blanks and Tommy Medica, Kimbrel walked Cedeno. After pinch-runner Reymond Fuentes stole second base, Nick Hundley grounded out to end the game. "We were one base hit from tying that game," Black said. "We were right there with them." Erlin allowed two runs on eight hits and one walk in six innings. The Braves took a 1-0 lead in the fourth when Justin Upton led off with a single and scored on a two-out single to left field by Chris Johnson, who had two hits. The Braves were denied a chance to extend their lead in the fifth when Elliot Johnson hit a two-out single and stole second. Upton singled to right field and Johnson, trying to score from second, was thrown out on right fielder Chris Denorfias one-hop throw to the plate. The Braves left the bases loaded in the seventh. Right-hander Dale Thayer, the Padres third pitcher of the inning, struck out Evan Gattis to end the threat after Brad Boxberger and Tommy Layne combined to walk three batters. San Diegos problems with walks continued in the eighth. With two outs, Andrelton Simmons doubled off Brad Brach, who then walked B.J. Upton and pinch-hitter Joey Terdoslavich. Brach struck out Elliot Johnson to end the inning. There was a brief delay in the fifth inning when Medlen fouled a ball that hit home plate umpire Tom Hallion under his mask. The ball skimmed off catcher Nick Hundleys helmet before hitting Hallion, who remained in the game after being checked by Braves assistant trainer Jim Lovell. Venable made a diving catch of Elliot Johnsons sinking liner in left-centre in the first inning. NOTES: Gonzalez said Braves OF Jason Heyward, who took batting practice for the second straight day, could be sent to the Braves Instructional League in Florida next week. Heywards right jaw was fractured when hit by a pitch from the Mets Jonathon Niese on Aug. 21. ... B.J. Upton drew three walks. ... MAYS LANDING, N. Wholesale Jerseys .J. -- Baltimore Ravens running back Ray R

MAYS LANDING, N. Wholesale Jerseys .J. -- Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice pleaded not guilty Thursday to assault charges stemming from an incident with his then-girlfriend in an Atlantic City casino elevator. His lawyer said Rice is "ashamed" and "sorry" about his conduct but would not specify exactly what Rice did. After the five-minute court hearing, Rice applied for New Jerseys pretrial intervention program, which allows for charges to be dismissed against first-time offenders who participate in the program and meet certain conditions. The county prosecutor will decide whether Rice is allowed to enter the program. If not, prosecutors have offered Rice a plea bargain that would spare him jail time if he participates in anger management counselling. "Hes ashamed of his conduct and hes sorry for what he did," attorney Michael Diamondstein told reporters outside the courthouse. "There was a disagreement between him and his wife," Diamondstein said. "He made a mistake. He loves Janay and wants to move forward. This was a momentary lapse of reason." Security video obtained by TMZ Sports shows Rice removing the motionless body of Janay Palmer from an elevator at Revel Hotel Casino on Feb. 15. She did not comment as the two walked into the courthouse. The couple married a day after Rice was indicted. If convicted, Rice could face three to five years in prison. The former Rutgers star walked to the courthouse holding hands with Palmer. He said he is a "happy father and a happy husband." When asked by reporters what he hoped would happen, Rice responded, "for you all to have a blessed day." Originally, Palmer and Rice were charged with simple assault, but the Atlantic County prosecutors office reviewed the case and dropped the charge against Palmer. A grand jury lodged the more serious charge of aggravated assault against Rice. Through her lawyer, Palmer has indicated she does not want the case to proceed. But prosecutor Diane Ruberton said Palmers co-operation is not crucial to it. "Im confident with the evidence we have that I could secure a conviction at trial, with or without her," Ruberton said. She said prosecutors have additional video evidence beyond what was published by the website, but she would not describe its contents. Ruberton said Rices celebrity played no role in the case, adding that plea deals are routinely offered to defendants charged with third-degree crimes, as is the case with Rice. Diamondstein said he expects a decision on whether Rice will be allowed into pretrial intervention within the next few weeks. "Hes an excellent candidate for it," he said. "Hes just a high-character individual. Hes a good guy." The conditions of pretrial intervention would include staying out of trouble for a year, as well as undergoing counselling and remaining gainfully employed, the attorney said. "Theyve been going to counselling and working on some of the issues they have," Diamondstein said. "Theyre very happy." Cheap Jerseys Wholesale . He will just have to wait a little longer. PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. Eli Manning Giants Jersey[/url

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. Eli Manning Giants Jersey . -- The PGA Tour season began five months ago. The new year is two months old. And yet theres something about the Honda Classic that makes Tiger Woods and a collection of stars feel as though its all about to get underway. "I think once we get to Florida, I think were all thinking about our way to Augusta," Woods said. Six tournaments remaining before the Masters, the first major of the year, and this is now serious business. It shows in the strength of the field at PGA National, with seven of the top 10 players from the world ranking. The last time Woods, Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott competed in the same tournament was the BMW Championship near Chicago last summer. Thats how it was a generation ago, when some of golfs top players either rested or played overseas early in the season, and then showed up in tropical conditions at Doral to start the official road to Augusta National. Woods has plenty of work to do based on his early performance -- a missed 54-hole cut at Torrey Pines in his lone PGA Tour start this year, followed by a dismal performance by his standards at the Dubai Desert Classic, where he tied for 41st. He conceded that he spent most of his winter break working on his body instead of his golf. Since returning from overseas earlier this month, Woods said he has spent most of his time working on his short game. Woods isnt the only player coming off a substantial break. Scott, the defending champion at Augusta, hasnt competed since the Sony Open in Honolulu. He spent the following week on the Big Island, surfing and playing a few casual rounds with his buddies, then killed time on the couch or doing anything not related to golf until it was time to get back to work. He plans to play three of the next four tournaments. "After three weeks I kind of felt like I needed to start swinging again and started to get the itch, but I think I timed it pretty well because Ive had a nice couple weeks of intense practice before getting here and a week of playing with some mates before that," Scott said. "I feel like Ive had a nice preparation, but this is a very tough test, and its probably not the ideal one to float back in off after an extended break." PGA National looks to have as much blue (water) as green (grass), and the course is converted into a par 70 at 7,140 yards for the Honda Classic. Michael Thompson won last year at 9-under 271. It wouldnt seem to favour Mickelson, who has not played PGA National since he was an amateur. Mickelson missed the last two weeks because his kids were on spring break, spending some of that time skiing and some of that playing golf. He did not want to fly out from California for one tournament next week at Doral, so he added the Honda Classic. "The greens are really immaculate," Mickelson said. "If you get hot with a putter, you can make a lot of putts. But I do like the golf course. Ive always liked Nicklaus-designed golf courses. I know this course he renovated or redesigned years ago, and its a wonderful test of golf, and I think thats a real credit as to why such a strong field continues to come here." This is only the third time Woods has played the Honda Classic as a pro. He rallied with a 62 in the final round in 2012 to finish behind McIlroy, and then struggled off the tee -- particularly on the sixth hole -- a year ago when he tied for 37th. McIlroy has his own set of memories from PGA National, not all of them good. Even though he won in 2012 to become No. 1 in the world for the first time, he followed that by playing 26 holes last year before walking off the course with his game in disrepair and his business affairs not much better. McIlroy said it was a mistake to quit, something he wont ever do again. But the 24-year-old from Northern Ireland is in a better frame of mind this year. He is comfortable with his equipment. Hes engaged. He has settled into his own management (though he still is going through a legal battle with his old firm). And he is playing like the guy everyone expected to be the biggest threat to Woods. "Im in a better place," McIlroy said. "And I feel like when my game is in a good place, everything else can sort of fall in line with that. It makes me feel more comfortable about everything." Kerry wants to answer your emails at cmonref@tsn.ca! Hi Kerry, In Wednesday nights game between Toronto and Calgary, referee Paul Devorski got one to the head by an errant clearing attempt. He had to leave the game for repairs and luckily he came back. My question is this - it looked like he was skating up the ice in front of the defencemen, so he did not see the puck coming. In the numerous replays that TSN showed I could not tell if he was the back or front referee, but shouldnt he have been trailing the play or skating behind the Leafs defence? That way things like this cant happen! Whats an officials mindset during the game in terms of how he positions himself? Thanks,Scott Martin Scott: Devo, what were you thinking when you blasted out of the corner with your back turned away from the play and with Cody Fransons best option being to pound the puck up the wall and down the ice on the PK? I wasnt sure if you thought you were back at training camp doing a timed goal line to goal line sprint test or decided to join the Leafs end zone breakout play since they were a man short. Im really sorry about your injury, but I think youll probably agree that for the most part it was avoidable and somewhat self-inflicted. On the up-side you demonstrated excellent foot speed - youve still got it pal! Scott, Kerry Fraser Referee Positioning 101 is based on the premise that you want to gain a position on the ice that provides the best and safest sightline (unobstructed view) to render a decision. "Safest" is out of traffic areas and most often when trailing the play. At the very least a Ref wants to keep players in front of him whenever possible. Players are coached to attack the puck; first player hard on the puck with a secondary teammate providing support. Wherever the puck is located on the ice a battle for possession will quickly result. While players attack the puck, I have always taught the opposite is true for an Official; Refs must retreat from the puck. To facilitate this objective the Official needs to read the play in advance (anticipate) and move or vacate an area that players will soon occupy or battle for the puck in. One other cardinal rule I practiced was to never turn my back on the puck carrier or shooter. If I was forced to retreat or pushed up the wall I always squared to the puck and faced the shooter. When this situation presented itself I retreated as quickly as possible to create space (distance) and time to defend if the puck came at me. Once an Official turns his back to the play he has NO chance of seeing the puck or defending by blocking with an elbow pad or by simply moving aside. As a result of the battle behind the Leafs goal by Paul Ranger and Joe Colborne of the Flames, the puck was forced toward the corner where Referee Devorski stood. The read by the Ref at this point should have been that uncontested puck possession would be gained by defenceman Cody Franson given a lack of potential pursuit by any Flame players in the area. With the puck travelling toward the corner, which ultimately comes to rest near or against the sidewall at tthe goal line, the Ref would correctly determine the lane along the wall and deep into the corner was not available to him. Lawrence Taylor Giants Jersey. Had Devorski taken this route he would have converged on the puck about the same time Cody Franson did. Devos decision here was the correct one. The first best angle of retreat from the puck by Referee Devorski would have been by skating parallel to Cody Franson in the opposite direction and reposition himself along the goal line half way between the corner and the net. (I termed this location "half-piston" when I designed the positioning philosophy implemented by the C.H.A. in the mid-1980s) From this safe location acquired by the Ref, Cody Franson could gain puck possession and make his play. Additionally from the half-piston location there was no potential for the Ref to obstruct pursuit by the nearest Flame player. The second worst angle of retreat was ultimately taken by the referee up the wall past the hash marks toward the blue line. By taking this route the Ref clearly placed himself in a shooting or passing lane (anticipation?). Once Devo committed to this exit strategy he should have been skating backwards as fast as possible (distance/time) facing Cody Franson with his hands up near his face to deflect or defend against a potential errant puck. An Official should always face the puck squarely and be ready to defend just like a Ninja! I was once asked to wear a new protective flak vest designed by a manufacturer in Strathroy, Ontario. He assured me I could take a puck right in the chest and the vest would disperse the force of impact leaving nothing more than a small bruise. This was before I was forced to wear a helmet and while I wasnt concerned about protecting my head I was more than willing to strap on the vest for added body armor. I was up for the challenge in Boston one night. With the Bruins on the power-play I was the lead Referee on the play in the two-man system and skating backwards just over the attacking blue line in advance of the rush. Bs defenceman, Sean ODonnell pounded a slapper into the zone on a hard-around from the cross-ice red line. It was probably about a 90 mile-an-hour shot, four feet off the ice and travelling straight at me. I foolishly decided this would be a good test for the flak vest so I squared up to the puck and puffed out my chest ready to take the best ODonnell offered on this one. My laser-like focus on the puck revealed the vulcanized missile starting to rise at an alarming rate and travelling faster than I originally anticipated. I bailed and hit the deck face-first at the very last second and felt the wind from the puck on my Paul Mitchell Freeze & Shine; a narrow miss! Bruins play-by-play man Jack Edwards without taking a breath and in his very best Howard Cosell impersonation commented, "And Down Goes Fraser" to which color analyst Gord Kluzak immediately chimed in, "And Not A Hair Out of Place!" While it was a close call, by squarely facing the shooter and puck I was able to defend myself. For the next week or so, when the War Room buzzes down to Referee Paul Devorski hell be taking the call in his other ear. Happy Halloween everyone. NFL Jerseys China cheap jerseys ' ' '

The NHL Play of the Year Showdown resumes today with an incredible goal and an incredible save. D.J. Fluker Chargers Jersey . The latest quarterfinal match-up features Detroit Red Wings Gustav Nyquist taking on Colorado Avalanche netminder Reto Berra. Nyquist breaks in one-on-one against Matt Carle and the Lightning defender appears initially to do enough to prevent a goal, drawing a penalty in the process. However, Nyquist shakes Carles grip and pounces on the puck he just lost. From behind the goal line, he still has the presence of mind to corral the puck and toss it under a recovering Ben Bishop. Berra, meanwhile, easily gets top marks for distance. Jack Johnson has a good look at the net on a Blue Jackets power play, but Berra comes out of nowhere with a denial. Going into a full roll, the Finnish netminder not only gets his pad up to stop it, but connects with a near-bicycle kick to fire the rebound out of the crease in a move thats "more Pele than Brodeur." CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Trey Burke scored 10 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter and the Utah Jazz snapped the Charlotte Bobcats three-game winning streak with an 88-85 victory Saturday night. Burke hit a 3-pointer with 1:38 left to put his team up by three and added a pair of free throws with 10 seconds remaining. Gordon Hayward had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Jazz, who had lost three of their past four games. Derrick Favors added 14 points. Kemba Walker scored 20 points and Al Jefferson had 19 for the Bobcats, who were playing their fourth game in five nights. The victory would have gotten the Bobcats (13-15) back to .500 on the season. At halftime, Bobcats owner Michael Jordan unveiled the teams new primary logo for when the team changes names to the Charlotte Hornets after this season. The Bobcats trailed 81-72 with 6:42 left in the fourth quarter and appeared ready to make a run. After Gerald Henderson hit a pair of free throws, Jefferson started to come alive, cutting the lead to four with a power move inside, drawing an and-one on Favours. On the next possession, Jefferson had a one-handed put-back dunk to bring the teal and purple clad fans to their feet and close the gap to 81-79. Mario Williams Dolphins Jersey. . Jefferson then tied the game at 83 with three minutes left on a dunk off a no-look pass from Walker. But Burke hit a 3-pointer to put the Jazz back in front. The Jazz had a chance to extend the lead but Alec Burks threw an alley-oop pass over the head of Haywood and out of bounds on a 3-on-1 fast break with 1:38 remaining. That seemed to trigger a flurry of turnovers on both ends of the court. With 27 seconds left, Walker beat Burke to the hole on the drive but missed the layup off the glass. Jefferson had two easy chances in front of the rim, but couldnt get the ball over the basket on either try. The Jazz got the ball and Burke was fouled. The rookie knocked down both free throws with 10 seconds left to push the lead back to three. Walker and Henderson each had 3-point opportunities on Charlottes final possession but couldnt connect. The Bobcats started the week with a win at home Tuesday night against Sacramento and then overcame deficits of 16 points and 20 points on the road to beat Toronto and Detroit. Drummondvilles Louis-Phillip Guindon gave up three goals on 10 shots before giving way to Joe Fleschler, who kicked out all 13 shots his way in 37 minutes of relief. --- http://www.laramsfootballshops.com/eugene-sims-jersey/ . Hi Kerry, So the Canucks are on the wrong side of a seven-minute power play (again) and this time, it was a 5-on-3 power play for the Ducks! In all my years of watching hockey, I have never seen a 5-on-3 power play for that length of time. Ive tried my best at looking at the play and I came up with a ruling of how I would have called it, would you agree with my assessment? Tom Sestito hits Mathieu Perreault before the whistle blows - watch closely and you can see Sestito hit Perreault before the whistle blows. Tim Jackman comes in with his stick high which is met with high sticks from a few other players. Sestito then drops the gloves and drags Jackman down. During this, Sami Vatanen comes in from the blue line and puts Jannik Hansen in a headlock. The linesman comes in and while Jackman is down on the ice, Sestito throws a couple more punches. Meanwhile, Hansen is trying to break free and drops his gloves thinking that hes with a willing combatant. But Vatanen keeps his gloves on and Hansen stops once hes separated. For this, I would define Jackmans actions after Sestito dropped Perreault as the beginning of the incident. As such, I dont think that an instigator should have been awarded here. To get them both out of the game, I would have given each five for fighting and a ten-minute misconduct. For Hansen, I would have given him either a double minor for roughing or a five for fighting and a ten minute misconduct. However, Vatanen coming in from the blue line and putting Hansen in a headlock deserved a two minute minor for roughing. This would have left the Ducks with a power play, but not a seven-minute 5-on-3! As always, I would love to get your opinion as its rare to hear a referee explain their calls in any sport. Would you like to see referees respond to questions from the media in the future? Gareth EvansRichmond, BC ----- Gareth, I like your assessment better than the seven minute 5-on-3 for a couple of reasons. 1) As you correctly pointed out there was some initial response from two Duck players (Tim Jackman and Sami Vatanen) that was not recognized in the penalty assessment. 2) The secondd issue I have is that with 7:11 remaining in a blow-out Duck win, any subsequent infraction that a Vancouver player might receive would be treated as a "delayed penalty" if it was assessed prior to the expiration of the major penalties incurred by Tom Sestito and Jannik Hansen. http://www.laramsfootballshops.com/lamarcus-joyner-jersey/. This scenario provides little deterrent for Vancouver players to restrain themselves from taking penalties. Also, the more goals the Ducks might score during the extended two-man advantage would only intensify the frustration that Vancouver players were already feeling. My objective in this situation would certainly be to remove the troublemakers from both sides to eliminate future confrontations or a potential gong-show. I would also want to manage players negative emotions if at all possible. As such, I would be very cognisant of not piling on, or further embarrassing the Canucks in a similar way that Temmu Selanne demonstrated class by not celebrating his second power play goal of the night to make the score 8-1. Selanne seemed almost reluctant to shoot the puck on the 5-on-3 at times. The shot he ultimately scored - his second power play goal of the night - was not one of his best efforts but it still found its way past Joacim Eriksson. Some game management - when the situation calls for it - is intelligent officiating! My penalty assessment on the play goes like this Gareth: Vancouver Tom Sestito - 2 minutes rough (on Perreault) - 2 minutes high sticking (on Jackman) - 5 minutes fighting (on Jackman)- 10 minutes misc. (continuation of a fight/resisting) Jannik Hansen - 2 minutes roughing - 5 minutes fighting- 10 minutes misconduct (continuation of a fight) Anaheim Tim Jackman - 2 minutes high stick sticking (on Sestito)- 5 minutes fighting (on Sestito) Sami Vatanen - 4 minutes roughing The end result is that Vancouver would play one man short for five minutes since the minor penalties would cancel out and Tim Jackmans fighting major would cancel with either Hansens or Sestitos. Either way, coach John Tortorella would place a man in the box prior to the expiration of the major penalty. NFL Jerseys China cheap jerseys ' ' '

Montreal, QC (SportsNetwork. Germain Ifedi Seahawks Jersey .com) - Carey Price made 40 saves and the Montreal Canadiens returned from the All-Star break with a 3-2 victory over the Dallas Stars on Tuesday. Price helped fight off Dallas two-man advantage late in the third period as the Canadiens held on for a third straight win. Alex Galchenyuk, Alexei Emelin and Brendan Gallagher all scored on Kari Lehtonen, who managed just 23 saves in Dallas second straight loss. Jamie Benn scored for the Stars and assisted on Patrick Eaves goal. A fortunate bounce gave the Canadiens a lead 6:07 into the game when Emelin sent a seemingly innocuous pass to the left corner that hit off a skate and somehow found its way between Lehtonens pads. A little later, Nathan Beaulieu led Galchenyuk with a stretch pass, and Montreal was suddenly ahead 2-0 following Galchenyuks terrific toe drag and backhand. The Stars stole a goal in the final seconds of the opening period after Jason Spezza won a faceoff with 2.7 ticks on the clock. Benn quickly collected the puck between the circles by kicking it to himself and snapped a shot into the corner. They made a good play there, recalled Price. Benn made a great shot. The teams traded power-play goals in the second, with Gallagher scoring at the 4:37 mark and Eaves tapping in a Tyler Seguin feed near the midway point. The Stars had a 5-on-3 for 1:03 with under five minutes to play, but Price prevented them from pulling even. We had a lot of shots, and the opportunities were there, Seguin said. Carey made some great saves tonight. Hes one of the best goalies in the league. Game Notes Emelin received a boarding major and game misconduct in the second period ... Eaves returned from a 21-game absence caused by a broken bone in his foot ... Both teams went 1-for-5 on the power play ... Montreal improved to 16-5-2 at home.
