ORLANDO, Fla. Adidas Originals Dragon Trainers . -- Scottie Wilbekin sat on the bench for the final minute, holding a bag of ice against his left knee. It was about the only time he wasnt giving Pittsburgh huge problems on both ends of the court. Wilbekin scored 21 points, including 11 of the teams 13 during a 7-minute stretch in the second half, and top-seeded Florida handled the Panthers 61-45 in the NCAA tournament Saturday. The Gators 28th consecutive win put them in the Sweet 16 for the fourth consecutive year. The latest victory followed a lacklustre and head-scratching performance in the teams NCAA opener against Albany two days earlier. The Gators vowed to play with more energy and intensity, and Wilbekin spearheaded the effort. "We just wanted to come out and not let them play harder than us or not play as hard as we can," Wilbekin said. "I think we did a good job of having our energy up at the start of the game, and we played together on offence and played together on defence." Wilbekin took over in the second half, scoring eight consecutive points at one point. Patric Young wasnt too shabby, either, finishing with seven points and eight rebounds. Will Yeguete added eight points -- all in the paint. Michael Frazier II chipped in 10 points for the Gators. Frazier was just 2-of-9 shooting from 3-point range. Had Florida not been cold from behind the arc, the game would have been essentially over much sooner than it was. The Gators finished 5 of 20 from 3-point range, with at least five of those rimming in and out. Florida will face either fourth-seeded UCLA or 12th-seeded Stephen F. Austin on Thursday in the South Regional in Memphis, Tenn. The Bruins and Lumberjacks play Sunday in San Diego. The Gators have the longest current streak of Sweet 16 appearances -- and expect to go further. If Wilbekin continues to play like he did against the Panthers, Florida surely improves its chances of making another deep run in the tournament. "It was good to see him come back and respond the way he did today," coach Billy Donovan said. "I thought all the way around he played very well. ... He was great on both ends of the floor because he really gives it up on the defensive end, and when you give it up like that and youre the point guard, theres a physical toll that your body takes over a period of time." Wilbekin ended up getting iced down after banging knees with a defender. He got a well-deserved standing ovation as he limped off the court. "Hes a great point guard," Panthers forward Lamar Patterson said. "He took care of business." Wilbekin hit a running 3-pointer at the first-half buzzer and drained a back-breaking 3 with 8:24 remaining that gave Florida its largest lead at that point, 45-31. His consecutive floaters inside 5 minutes to play were equally troublesome for Pitt. The Panthers, who seemed focused on Young inside and Frazier out, had no answer for Wilbekins dribble penetration. Wilbekin also was a force on the press, which helped force 11 turnovers and got the Panthers out of rhythm. Florida played the kind of defence that had to impress NFL coaches Bill Belichick and Mike Tomlin. The Patriots and Steelers head men were on hand, with Belichick sitting behind Floridas bench in a white Gators visor and Tomlin sitting opposite Pitts bench in Panthers colours. Wilbekin really started to dominate as Pitt steadily wore down in the second half. "Got in the lane -- constantly," Pitt coach Jamie Dixon said. "Hes a senior, hes a really good player, hes been through some ups and downs, obviously, and hes had a great finish to his career, and thats what you hope happens to a kid that learns and gets better. They played well. Im sure theyre proud of him and what hes become, a local guy thats done well." Talib Zanna led the Panthers with 10 points, their only player in double figures. A lot was made of the inside matchup between Young and Zanna, two ripped centres who played well Thursday. But Wilbekin was the story in this one. His best play didnt even show up in the box score. Wilbekin saved one of the many loose balls Florida got to first, turned around and threw a strike to Casey Prather. Prather drove the lane and dropped the ball to Young for a dunk that energized the pro-Florida crowd. "I think just trying to get better in little areas, the small stuff, trying to be a better leader," said Wilbekin, who was suspended five games to start the season. "As far as how it translates on the court, I think its helped me become a better leader, be more connected with my teammates and coach. Its helped me play with a freer mind." Nike Air Max 1 Pas Cher . -- Pete Rose sounded bowled over. Adidas Zx 700 w Leopard . 1. Anthony Bennett (Cavs): Congrats! Finally. Logano will start on the front row next to Penske Ford teammate Brad Keselowski, who came in second Friday at 193.099. CHICAGO -- The fast start for the New York Rangers was erased by the Chicago Blackhawks in a couple minutes during the first part of the second period. Cheap NHL Jerseys . Playing the Stanley Cup champions in their building, Henrik Lundqvist and Co. came up with an encouraging response. Carl Hagelin scored the tiebreaking goal in the third period to lead the Rangers to a 3-2 victory over the Blackhawks on Wednesday night. "We worked so hard, so this is a big one for us," said Lundqvist, who had 35 saves. "Playing such a good team and the position were in, were desperate for points and wins, so just a great feeling the way we played and got rewarded in the end with that big goal." The Rangers (22-20-3), who began the day in 10th place in the Eastern Conference, improved to 6-2-1 in their last nine games. They were coming off a 4-3 shootout loss at home against Columbus. Asked if the victory over Chicago could be a tipping point for New York, coach Alain Vigneault responded: "All I know is beating the Stanley Cup champions in this building is not an easy task." Jonathan Toews and Brandon Bollig scored in the second period for Chicago (29-8-9), which had recorded at least one point in a season-high 10 games. Coupled with Sundays shootout loss against San Jose, the Blackhawks lost consecutive home games for the second time this season. It was Chicagos first regulation loss since it was blown out at Toronto, falling 7-3 on Dec. 14. "Weve got too many guys right now that arent contributing to that level we saw most of the season," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said. Marc Staal started the winning sequence with a long slap shot that was stopped by Corey Crawford, who also got in front of Hagelins first rebound attempt. But Hagelin stayed with the play and flipped the puck into the open right side with 5:57 left. It was Hagelins fourth winning goal of the season, tops on the team. He also is tied for the team lead with 11 goals overall. "Lately, we have a lot of confidence and try not to get too frustrated," Hagelin said. "Some games the puck goes in and other days it doesnt. But I think when youre creating chances you stay positive." Brad Richards and Mats Zuccarello also scored for New York, which earned its first win in Chicago since a 3-2 victory on Jan. 16, 2009. The Rangers and Blackhawks took turns controlling the action in the first two periods. The first belonged to New York, which made the most of a disjointed start for Chicago. Richards scored on a wrist shot at 5:06 and Zuccarello made it 2-0 when he skated behind the net for a wraparound that banked off the paddle of Crawfords stick for a power-play score at 9:29. Lundqvist had the secondary assist on Zuccarellos 11th goal. It was Lundqvists second assist of the season and 14th of his career. "Especially there in the first we were sloppy," Blackhawks defenceman Duncan Keith said. "We got better as the game went along, but unfortunately, they were able to get one late." Chicago bounced back in the second, using a power play to get back in the game. With Derick Brassard in the box for interference, Toews beat a screened Lundqvist high on the stick side for a rebound goal at 6:17. It was Toews 16th of the season and first since Chicagos captain scored twice during a 7-2 victory over Colorado on Dec. 27. The Blackhawks struck again 1:48 after Toews goal. Bollig skated alone down the left side and tied it at 2 with a well-placed wrist shot into the lower left side of the net. It was Bolligs fourth goal of the season. Crawford settled down after the uneven start and finished with 29 saves. He made a nice glove save on Rick Nash on a semi-breakaway with 2:05 left in the second, keeping the game tied at 2. He also used his right pad to deny Brassard early in the third. NOTES: The 26-year-old Zuccarello is tied with Richards, Hagelin and Chris Kreider for the team lead in goals. Zuccarellos previous career high was six goals when he was a rookie with New York in the 2010-11 season. ... The Blackhawks recognized their 10 Olympians on the centre-ice videoboard during a break in the first period. ... New York C J.T. Miller and D Justin Falk were scratched. ... Defencemen Michael Kostka and Sheldon Brookbank were scratched for the Blackhawks. KYLE LOWRY (Raptors): This is great news for Raps fans. He was in a nice spot with demand from other teams and he cashed in quite well. Bottom line, market value sets the price point and its the cost of doing business. Hes the heart and soul of their team and was an important guy to keep, mission accomplished. This is an important point to consider - the fact that he makes more money doesnt mean hes going to be an even better player than he was last year. Its a tough thing for players who sign big deals; they feel they need to live up to the money and contract. Realistically, if he can provide them what he did last season on a consistent basis and stay healthy the next three to four years - where do I sign up? Good get even if the money is a tad bit high but again its all about right place and right time for Lowry and for the Raptors. Its a deal that makes both good basketball and organizational sense. I love the addition of Patrick Patterson as a restricted free agent to the mix as well. Hes a good young player whose best days lie ahead for him. His perimeter shooting, defence, rebounding and overall toughness are a good piece for this group. Obviously, he ended up being for the Raps what Andrea Bargnani was supposed to be yet at a much more reasonable price. Good deal. Hopefully Greivis Vasquez gets done soon as well. Fingers crossed. Off to a nice start though. Masai Ujiris surely has planned his work and is working his plan. 2. BEN GORDON (Magic): What a Country! I cant believe he got a two-year deal, even if whole money amount isnt guaranteed. Im sure if former Detroit Pistons president, Joe Dumars is walking on a beach this summer thinking about the moves that cost him his job; this guy and Charlie Villaneuvas deals are right at the top of the list. He gets another chance to resuscitate his career with Magic but Im skeptical of this one. 3. SHAUN LIVINGSTON (Warriors): Im happy for him. Hes battled back from major injury in his career and hes not the player he once was in his early Clippers days, but he has reinvented himself annd thats a testament to his work ethic and character. NFL Jerseys Outlet Cheap. Hes a dependable pro and plays the game hard and right. Hell be a nice mature addition to Coach Steve Kerrs locker room. 4 LeBRON JAMES (Heat): Pat Rileys has to be sweating a bit here. So far no luck attracting the other pieces to compliment the King and hes evaluating his options as he should. He is legitimate by the contract he and the heat negotiated in good faith. Who knows how it will all work out with him and even a guy like Carmelo Anthony. Bottom line, guys want to get paid at the highest level as well as the mid and lower tier players. Your sales pitch as a team beyond winning is still how much cap space do you have and what percentage of it am I getting? 5. NO STATE INCOME TAX: You hear this all the time about states like Texas and Florida, that their free agent pitches have a built in competitive advantage. Heres my question; in cap-centric leagues like the NBA, NHL and NFL, I wonder why this loophole wouldnt be closed. In my opinion, the cap is set up to level the playing field and teams in states that have a distinct advantage with the net income equation have the upper hand. Not sure if this has ever been considered but my thought is based upon this advantage - why dont the leagues set the cap based upon what the money means on the back end in net income per team, so its equal. In 98 per cent of the cases youre dealing with players that are in the highest taxable tax bracket in their state or Country, so why not do the research and base the cap number (which is equal) to the after tax value in each market and even the cap that way. Again, Im not sure if its ever been discussed or if it even makes any sense, Im just thinking out loud. Its probably too complicated an issue to work on but for the life of me I cant tell you why those teams in tax friendly states gain a major advantage. Its an issue for minds much greater than mine (not saying much there!) to figure out. Probably a wasted thought but thats what Im here for! Have a GREAT weekend! wholesale jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys cheap soccer jerseys wholesale jerseys wholesale jerseys cheap nfl jerseys china ' ' '

MANCHESTER, England -- Lyoto Machidas middleweight debut was a resounding success, as he used a spectacular high kick to score a knockout win over friend and training partner Mark Munoz on Saturday in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Machida vs. Cheap Jerseys Online . Munoz. Machida, who was training with Munoz when he was tapped to replace an injured Michael Bisping, looked quick and confident in his new division. The former UFC light heavyweight champion patiently set up his striking attacks while staying clear of any potential Munoz takedowns. After a feint to the legs to drop his opponents guard, Machida rifled off a left high kick that was partially blocked but was still strong enough to send Munoz crashing to the floor. Machida followed to the floor but realized additional strikes were unnecessary and held back while referee Leon Hall stepped in to call off the fight at the 3:10 mark of the opening frame. "It was very hard for me (to take the fight) because Mark is a good friend of mine," Machida said. "But you know, as a professional, I dont think about that and just do my job. But now that its over, the friendship will continue." With the win, Machida (20-4) established himself as an instant title contender at 185 pounds. Munoz (13-4) falls to 1-2 in his past three fights. Machida also earned $50,000 for the "Knockout of the Night." The nights co-feature was expected to deliver fireworks, but a controversial foul call resulted in a disappointing "no contest" result. Sluggers Melvin Guillard and Ross Pearson engaged from the opening bell, both moving well and firing in quick punches. When Pearson looked to explode into a flying knee, Guillard sidestepped the technique, leading to a scramble as he pushed an off-balance Pearson away. As Pearson scrambled up to his feet, Guillard blasted him with a pair of knees that opened up a huge gash on Pearsons forehead. Referee Marc Goddard ruled the second blow an unintentional foul, claiming Pearsons hand was on the ground for the second knee, earning him the protection of a "downed" fighter. Doctors ruled the cut severe enough to end the fight, and the bout was ruled a no contest. English "Posterboy" Jimi Manuwa kept his professional record unblemished, albeit in bizarre fashion, as an apparent leg injury ended opponent Ryan Jimmos night. Manuwa, a striking specialist, struggled to find space to strike. Jimmo, a native of Saint John, N.B., kept the action tight and looked to work inside from the clinch. Manuwa was getting the better of the action, but the grinding work from Jimmo kept the pace low. In the second round, Manuwa landed a solid knee as the two broke apart in the clinch, and as Jimmo stepped back to recover, his leg buckled, and he came crashing to the canvas. Unsure what was happening, Manuwa looked to pounce with punches, but referee Neil Hall recognized the injury and waved the fight off with 19 seconds left in the frame. "The fight went how I thought itd go," Manuwa said. "I knew he was a tough opponent. Hes strong, but I had his number. It was just a matter of time before I caught him." Manuwa remains (14-0) unbeaten, while Jimmo (18-3) falls to 1-2 in his past three appearances. Norman Parke, the 26-year-old winner of "The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes," moved to 3-0 in the UFC with a convincing decision win over a previously undefeated Jon Tuck. Parke simply outworked his opponent from the opening bell, constantly moving forward and landing heavy left hands and rapid-fire combinations. While Tuck kept pace in the opening round, that changed over the course of the final 10 minutes, and the action was decidedly one-sided. In the end, Parke (19-2) outstruck Tuck (7-1) 154-76 according to a FightMetric report, and was awarded a unanimous-decision win with scores of 30-27, 29-28 and 29-28. "It feels good, but I wanted the finish as people have said Im winning on points," Parke said. "I felt good in there. I got in the groove, but I didnt want to overcommit myself. I was happy with my boxing performance, but next time I want the finish." Swedish newcomer Nicholas Musoke made the most of his first UFC opportunity, scoring a slick submission win over longtime veteran Alessio Sakara. Musoke and Sakara went toe-to-toe from the opening bell, firing punches in an entertaining slugfest. As they moved into a clinch, a Musoke trip takedown moved the action to the floor. Sakara alertly swept to the top, but Musoke spun his hips out and locked quick armbar, turning to his belly for additional torque and earning a verbal submission at the 3:07 mark of the first frame. "It feels awesome; its a dream come true," Musoke said after the win. "Being in the Octagon was special and it got to me a bit more than I thought it would. (UFC site coordinator) Burt Watson said a good thing to me yesterday -- making it here is easier than staying here -- and I want to prove I belong here." Musoke (11-2-1), who replaced an injured Magnus Cedenblad on just two-weeks notice, now boasts a six-fight overall win streak. Sakara (15-11) is now winless in four UFC outings. In the nights first main-card matchup, top flyweight contender John Lineker outstruck grappling specialist Phil Harris en route to an impressive first-round win. Harris was never able to bring the fight to the floor and was instead forced to box with the heavy-handed Lineker, who took full advantage of the opportunity. Lineker battered Harris with powerful hooks on the feet before finally dropping him with a thunderous left to the body that forced a TKO stoppage at the 2:51 mark of the opening frame. "The fight went how I wanted it; I wanted to strike," Lineker said after the fight. "Everyone who steps in the Octagon is tough, and I just work my hardest to get the best results. Were going to sit down and see whats next, but I am looking forward to celebrating." Lineker (23-6) owns four straight UFC wins, but his status as a title contender is questionable after he missed weight for Saturdays fight, marking the third time in five UFC appearances hes failed to hit the required mark. Harris (22-11) falls to 1-2 in the UFC. Attendance was 10,355 for $1.5 million gate according to White. Cheap Jerseys . EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Cheap NFL Jerseys . -- The Minnesota Vikings have signed former Texans receiver Lestar Jean. The team announced the signing Tuesday. Jean is entering his fourth season. He joins a receiving corps that appears pretty well stocked with Greg Jennings, Cordarrelle Patterson, Jerome Simpson and Jarius Wright. The 6-foot-3 receiver spent his rookie season in 2011 on injured reserve. He caught 10 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown in 27 games for the Texans over the last two seasons. Jean played at Florida Atlantic and was not drafted. Cheap Jerseys Biz . - Patrick Reed left everyone behind last year in the Humana Challenge. PETERSBURG – Adam Lind visited with a foot specialist on Friday afternoon in Charlotte, North Carolina and the news, as reported by the club, is positive.Sochi, Russia - The closing ceremony of the Sochi Games brought a flashy and tuneful end Sunday night to the most expensive Olympics in history. Most important, perhaps, it went off without a hitch. Organizers poked a little fun at the now-infamous opening ceremony gaffe that saw only four out of five snowflakes open up into rings, leaving the Olympics logo one ring short. They opted for human rings this time, the last one opening several seconds after the first four on the floor of the stadium. It echoed the hijinks from Vancouvers closing ceremony four years ago, when a leg of the cauldron that failed to come up during the opening ceremony was finally raised into place. Sundays ceremony at Fisht Olympic Stadium included a handoff from Sochi to Pyeongchang, South Korea, host of the 2018 Winter Games. Near the end, the cauldron that was lit 16 days earlier by Russian Olympic greats Vladislav Tretiak and Irina Rodnina was extinguished after one of the games mascots, an animatronic bear, blew out a flame in the center of the stadium, a single tear dripping from its left eye. Earlier, after a childrens choir conducted by Valery Gergiev sung the Russian national anthem, flag bearers for each country entered the stadium together rather than country by country like in the opening ceremony. The athletes who stuck around for the festivities also came in together, as is customary for the closing ceremony. American ice hockey forward Julie Chu, who competed in her fourth Olympics, carried the U.S. flag. "So proud to represent Team USA (and) our amazing athletes. Humbled," Chu tweeted as she waited to enter the stadium. Kaillie Humphries and Heather Moyse, who won their second womens bobsled gold medal in a row, were co-flag bearers for Canada. Figure skater Maxim Trankov, a dual gold medalist in Sochi, carried Russias flag. Pop music played, but the ceremony also included a heavy dose of classical music and ballet like the opening ceremony, and a nod to Russian novelists and poets. All of it was done as temperatures hovered in the 40s, a cool close to the so- called Spring Olympics, where the weather was famously mild, with temperatures even climbing into the 60s on some days. That led to some strange scenes, including cross country skiers cutting the sleeves off their uniforms and American skier Julia Mancuso filming a surfing video for NBC on the Black Sea. There was a serious side to the warmer weather, of course, which wreaked havoc on some courses for the snow events. Snowboarders complained about slushy conditions on the halfpipe and the New York Times detailed a clandestine operation by organizers to purchase more salt needed to keep some courses properly iced. Norwegian biathlete Ole Einar Bjoerndalen set the all-time Winter Olympics record during the games by winning his 12th and 13th medals, both golds. But Russia led the overall medal count with 33, including 13 gold medals to fall one short of the Winter Games record of 14 set by Canada four years ago at the Vancouver Olympics. The U.S. finished second with 28 medals, nine fewer than the Winter Games record 37 they captured in Vancouver. Norway was third overall with 26 medals and Canada won 25, including 10 gold -- the last secured by the mens hockey team on Sunday in a win over Sweden. Cheap Jerseys. . The Russian anthem played for the last time at the closing ceremony during the medal ceremony for the mens 50-kilometer cross country race. Alexander Legkov led a Russian medal sweep of that event Sunday morning. Sochi organizing committee head Dmitry Chernyshenko called the games "a great moment in our history ... a moment that will never be forgotten." "This is the new face of Russia, our Russia," he said. "And for us, these games are the best ever." Russian President Vladimir Putins $51 billion Olympics were the subject of snickers early on when media and athletes arrived to find some accommodations lacking. Journalists relayed stories of unfinished rooms, broken door handles, missing shower curtains and even stray dogs in their media villages. One was told not to use the water in her bathroom, which was said to contain a dangerous chemical. U.S. bobsledder Johnny Quinn became an Internet sensation after tweeting a picture of his bathroom door, which he had broken through after becoming locked inside. The Twitter account SochiProblems had more than 330,000 followers by the time of Sundays closing ceremony, but the criticism so prevalent in the first days died down, giving way to wide praise of Sochis venues. IOC President Thomas Bach, presiding over his first games, said the athletes left a legacy of "peace, tolerance and respect" and urged, as IOC heads often do, that countries around the world follow the example. Bach thanked Putin for what he said was the Russian presidents "personal commitment to the extraordinary success" of the games. "We leave as friends of the Russian people," said Bach. News broke during the opening ceremony that a plane had been diverted to an airport in Turkey after a passenger on board allegedly issued a bomb threat and tried to have the aircraft redirected to Sochi. The incident further raised fears that Russias first Olympics in 34 years could be the target of a terrorist attack, but the games passed without any such incident. The host country faced criticism in the run-up to the games after passing laws last year aimed at keeping gay "propaganda" away from children, and officials remained adamant throughout that political protests should be kept away from Olympic venues. In the highest-profile incident of its kind, two members of the punk band Pussy Riot were among several people detained for several hours as they planned to film a protest video in Sochi. They set up a day later to film again, but were interrupted by Cossacks who attacked them with whips. The games went without a positive doping test until the final weekend, when there were six. In the last case, Swedish hockey star Nicklas Backstrom was scratched from the gold medal game Sunday after testing positive for a banned substance found in allergy medication his NHL team said he has been taking for seven years to combat severe allergies. The Washington Capitals said the medication was approved by the Swedish national team. wholesale jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys cheap soccer jerseys wholesale jerseys wholesale jerseys cheap nfl jerseys china ' ' '

NEW YORK -- Pirates manager Clint Hurdle had good reason to call upon Gaby Sanchez to bat for Ike Davis. Adidas Originals Superstar 2 Sneaker . Sanchez tagged the Mets again, delivering a pinch-hit home run in the eighth inning and a tiebreaking single in the ninth that rallied Pittsburgh over New York 5-3 on Monday. Sanchez has a .324 average with nine homers and 34 RBIs vs. New York, matching or topping his bests against any NL team. He lost playing time after Davis was acquired in a trade with the Mets in mid-April. "Ikes a good player and hes been swinging the bat really well. Hes been one of the hottest bats on the team. So, hes going to play and I understand that," Sanchez said about Davis, who was making his return to Citi Field. "My role is to keep that going whenever I get my chance, keep that going and help the team win." The Mets announced after their ninth loss in 12 games that they had fired hitting coach Dave Hudgens. New York also cut reliever Jose Valverde soon after he gave up Sanchezs go-ahead hit. Valverde (1-1) was booed off the field after allowing pinch-hitter Jose Tabatas tying single in the eighth. Valverde returned for the ninth and was even worse, yielding four runs overall. "Dont think for one second that theres not a guy in there that realizes that this is part of it. We just released one of the best professionals I ever been around in Jose Valverde," a fired-up Collins said. "You deal with it, and if you cant you dont belong in the game." Mets minor league hitting co-ordinator Lamar Johnson will take Hudgens place. Right-hander Vic Black is being recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas to fill Valverdes spot. With one out in the ninth, Valverde gave up a single to Neil Walker and walked Andrew McCutchen. Sanchez fouled off a fastball, losing hold of the bat, which spun toward the Pirates dugout and hit a batboy in the legs. The batboy smiled and on-deck hitter Russell Martin checked to see if he was OK. Sanchez then singled to left, scoring Walker. Juan Centeno couldnt handle Curtis Grandersons throw that bounced to the right of the plate and skittered past Valverde, who was backing up but way too close to the catcher. McCutchen scored on Grandersons error for a two-run lead. Martin added an RBI double for Pittsburgh, which rebounded from a loss to Washington on Sunday after a season-high four straight wins. "This mentality in the dugout is, This is the inning. Even if we get pushed down, the next inning well make something," Hurdle said. "Youve got to be relentless. You cant get sad." Tony Watson (5-0) pitched an inning for the win. Mark Melancon got his 10th save. Davis drew a warm reception from the Memorial Day crowd of 29,309, opposite of what he predicted during a pregame chat in the visitors dugout. Popular with fans in his four-plus seasons, he went 0 for 2 with a walk. Slumping Lucas Duda homered off Melancon to start the ninth. The homer was the first off Melancon in 86 innings, since April 14, 2013. New York took a 2-0 lead in the fifth on Daniel Murphys single, Pittsburghs third error of the game and a favourable review under the new home plate collision rule. But the Mets bullpen wasted a fine start by Jacob deGrom. The 25-year-old deGrom pitched 6 2-3 scoreless innings in his third career start, allowing five hits. He laboured early but settled in to throw 122 pitches. Brandon Cumpton was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis to take the place of Wandy Rodriguez, who was designated for assignment Thursday, and matched deGrom into the fifth. With the help of an umpires review, New York took the lead. The Mets two-out rally was started by -- who else? -- deGrom. He lined a single to left field for his second hit of the day and advanced when Juan Lagares walked. A college shortstop, deGrom is now 4 for 5 as a big league batter. "I guess Ive been seeing the ball pretty well," deGrom said. Murphy lined a single to right field and deGrom scored easily. Josh Harrisons throw to third skipped passed third baseman Pedro Alvarez and Lagares scampered home. The ball took a good bounce back to Alvarez off the protective fence in front of the Pirates dugout and he made a quick throw home. Martin set up to the left of home plate but stuck his leg out, blocking Lagares path before the ball arrived. Umpire Laz Diaz initially called Lagares out, but Colliins asked crew chief Jeff Nelson to review the play under new rule 7.13, covering collisions at the plate. After a delay of 3 minutes, 4 seconds, Lagares was called safe and Murphy was awarded second base on the play home. "Weve encouraged our guys to play the game, do what you feel athletically moved to do knowing what the options are," Hurdle said. With Juan Matas transfer secured, Manchester United appears to now be looking at another franchise-shaping deal. Nike Roshe One Flyknit blancas . BBC Sport has reported that United has opened contract negotiations with Wayne Rooney in hopes of keeping him in red for the rest of his playing days. While concrete numbers of the possible Rooney extension were not disclosed in the BBC report, it called the offer one "that would make him the highest paid player in Uniteds history." UK paper The Telegraph has put the reported offer at £300,000 per week over a five year span. He is currently a year and a half away from the end of a deal that pays him £250,000 per week. Rooney, 28, was rumoured to be on the outs at United this past off-season when the team replaced long-term manager Sir Alex Ferguson with former Everton manager David Moyes. Rooney and Moyes had a tumultuous past when both were at Everton and the hiring sparked speculation that the striker could be on his way out of Old Trafford. However, Rooney has re-emerged as Uniteds best player in what has been a largely disappointing and injury-ravaged 2013-14 campaign for the defending Premier League champs. Rooney has scored nine goals in 16 League appearances, adding two more in five Champions League contests. Durant, the leagues leading scorer, also had 10 rebounds and nine assists. Anthony, the leagues No. 2 scorer, had 15 points on 5-for-19 shooting for the Knicks. Thunder coach Scott Brooks took Durant out of the game with 1:24 remaining, leaving Durant short of a rare 40-point triple-double by a single assist. "I got on Serge (Ibaka)," Durant said, laughing. "He missed a dunk and he passed up a shot." Durant also was largely responsible for guarding Anthony. "He missed some shots that he normally makes," Durant said. "I just tried to play as strong as I can, contest some shots and not get discouraged when he hits them because he makes tough shots and hes a guy that can get hot. I just try to rely on my teammates, and they did a great job of helping me out, building a wall behind me, and I just tried to play as hard as I can." Reggie Jackson had 19 points and six assists and Ibaka had 16 points and nine rebounds for the Thunder, who were coming off a 103-102 loss to struggling Orlando on Friday night. ST. nike air huarache og bianche . LOUIS -- Pinch-hitter Greg Garcia was just looking for some way to reach base in the 12th inning Tuesday night. He did it the hard way, getting hit by a pitch from Justin Grimm with one out and the bases loaded to force in the winning run in the St. Louis Cardinals 4-3 win over the Chicago Cubs. "I knew Grimm threw hard," Garcia said. "I just tried to put the ball in play anyway I can." Jhonny Peralta led off the 12th with a single for his third hit. Grimm (1-2) retired Matt Holliday on a popup, but walks to Allen Craig and Yadier Molina loaded the bases for Garcia. Garcia had a 1-2 count when he was plunked by Grimm. "I saw the pitch out of his hand and knew it was in," Garcia said. "When it got close to the plate I saw it had a chance to hit me. Ill take that one 100 per cent of the time." Seth Maness (1-2) tossed a scoreless 12th for the win. Both teams used seven pitchers. St. Louis manager Mike Matheny said he had not planned to use Maness, who had pitched the last three games. "We were planning on staying away from him if possible, but it turned out we needed him," Matheny said. Trailing 3-2 going into the ninth, Chicago rallied to tie it off closer Trevor Rosenthal on Emilio Bonifacios RBI single with two outs. The blown save was the first for Rosenthal in 11 opportunities. "Thats tough, and you could feel it," Matheny said. "But they just put their head down and kept playing. That would have been a tough one to lose." Matt Adams and Matt Carpenter also drove in runs for the Cardinals. Luis Valbuena hit a two-run homer off Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright as part of a three-hit night. "The guys ended up fighting, doing the best they could," Cubs manager Rick Renteria said. "We just fell a little short." The Cardinals took a 3-2 lead in the sixth after Peter Bourjos led off with a bunt single against Carlos Villanueva. Bourjos went to second on a grounder, stole third on ball four pitch to pinch-hitter Jon Jay and scored on Carpenters grounder. Peralta added an RBI single. Cubs starter Jake Arrieta went four innings, allowing one run on four hits and five walks. But he helped himself when he led off the third with a single and scored on Valbuenas homer. After rookie right-hander Alex Colome excelled in a 5-2 victory in the opener, the Rays fell to Chris Tillman and the Orioles 4-1 on Friday night. "They outpitched us in the second game, but we actually pitched well tonight," Tampa Bay manager Joe Maddon said. "Nevertheless, you will always take a split in a day-night doubleheader, but after you win the first one you get a little greedy." Tampa Bay is 2-8 against the Orioles this season, 1-3 in Baltimore. In the first game, the Orioles mustered only three hits -- one after the second inning. Added to the roster for the doubleheader as the 26th man, Colome (1-0) gave up one run, two hits and four walks in 5 2-3 innings to earn his second big league victory. The first came against Miami in his debut on May 30, 2013. Its been a strange year for Colome, who served a 50-game suspension until May 25 for violating the leagues drug policy. He was activated by the Rays and pitched four innings of relief against Toronto on May 26 before being optioned to the minors after the game. In his last start for Triple-A Durham, Colome gave up nine runs in 1 1-3 innings against Syracuse on June 21. He had far more success against the Orioles, holding them to one hit after Nick Markakis opened with a single. Jake McGee worked the ninth for his second save Orioles starter Kevin Gausman (3-2) yielded five runs, seven hits and a career-high four walks in five-plus innings. Baltimore got a first-inning run when Nick Markakis singled and scored on a groundout by Chris Davis. Thats why this lineup is so dangerous," Hundley said. "When you have a team, a lineup, with this much depth and this much power to all fields, it makes it tough to pitch to." Tillman (7-4) gave up one run and four hits over eight innings to earn his first win in seven home starts this season. He was 0-4 with a 2.78 ERA. Zach Britton got three outs for his 10th save. Rays starter Jake Odorizzi allowed one run and six hits in five innings, striking out six. "I had no pitches tonight. I had no fastball command, no off-speed pitches, slider was terrible, changeup was equally as bad," the rookie said. "My curveball, I think I threw it twice. It was just an all-around bad, bad experience out there." But Tampa Bay pitchers got nine strikeouts in the nightcap, giving them a major league record 261 in June. Cleveland had 253 in June 1964. James Loneys fourth homer gave the last-place Rays a 1-0 lead in the second inning, but Baltimore matched that in the bottom half with an RBI single by Hundley. Odorizzi threw 31 pitches in the inning, the last a third strike to Manny Machado with the bases loaded. Baltimore loaded the bases again in the fifth before J.J. "We knew what was at stake and the opportunity we had and we didnt get it done," Bears coach Marc Trestman said. The Eagles (9-6) have to tie or beat the Cowboys (8-7) at Dallas next Sunday night to win the NFC East and complete a worst-to-first season under their rookie coach. Once Dallas rallied to beat Washington earlier in the day, the Eagles knew they were only playing for a No. 3 seed, that is, if they win the division. Still, Kelly played all his guys. "This is our job. They pay us to play ball," McCoy said. "The fans pay their hard-earned money to watch. As a player, we never think a game is meaningless." Foles was 21 of 25 for 230 yards, and set a franchise record with a completion percentage of 84.0. In only nine starts, Foles has 25 TD passes and two interceptions. He was replaced by Michael Vick midway through the fourth quarter. By that time, fans were chanting: "We want Dallas!" "The playoffs start one week early," Kelly said. "Thats how we approach it." McCoy, trying to become the first Eagles player to lead the NFL in rushing since Hall of Famer Steve Van Buren in 1949, ran for 133 yards and leads Kansas Citys Jamaaal Charles by 189 going into the last game. New Balance 574 Rosse Bambino. . Bryce Brown had 115 yards rushing, including a 65-yard TD run. The Eagles dominated from the start. Trent Cole sacked Jay Cutler to force a three-and-out on Chicagos first possession, and the Eagles went right down the field and scored when Foles hit Riley Cooper going across the back of the end zone on a 5-yard pass. Bradley Fletcher then forced Devin Hester to fumble after a 36-yard kickoff return and Cary Williams recovered at the Bears 39. Foles connected with Zach Ertz for 27 yards and McCoy ran in from the 1 to make it 14-0. Foles tossed a 10-yard TD pass to Brent Celek to make it 21-0 in the first. "It was fun to play," Foles said. "Thats what I cherish. I dont care about records." Cedric Thornton tackled Matt Forte in the end zone for a safety and a 26-3 lead in the third quarter. McCoy ran in from the 1 to make it 33-3. Chris Polk had a 10-yard TD run in the fourth quarter and Brandon Boykin returned an interception 54 yards for a score to make it 47-11. Chicagos only TD came when Cutler threw a 6-yard pass to Brandon Marshall on the final play of the third quarter. "I thought we had a good game plan," Cutler said. "We had good practices this week. Obviously we didnt play like it." Bears seven-time Pro Bowl linebacker Lance Briggs returned to the lineup after missing seven games because of a fractured shoulder. He wasnt much help. The Eagles racked up 514 yards. The Bears had a chance to secure a division title because Green Bay lost to Pittsburgh and the New York Giants eliminated Detroit from playoff contention. NOTES: The Eagles had their 12th game of at least 400 yards of total offence. ... Cole had three of Philadelphias five sacks on Cutler, who hadnt gone down more than three times in a game previously this season. ... Eagles S Earl Wolff returned after missing four games with a knee injury, but left in the second quarter. ... Bears FS Chris Conte left in the first quarter after sustaining a concussion. ... Are you worried about losing money to unscrupulous online fraudsters? BIN lookup services will help you reduce the risks of charge backs and fraudulent transactions. Every business transacting online stands the risk of fraud and needs a few checks in place to help minimize these risks. Charge backs are common and can cost the business a lot of money. Irrespective of what kind of charge back it is, the business still loses on the revenue as it ends up paying back the consumer the cost of the merchandise.

BIN lookup services help the business to identify a possible fraudulent transaction. A BIN lookup service searches for the unique six digit number on the credit card, debit card or prepaid card from the data base. BIN database usually contains the name of the bank issuing the card and also the country in which the card is issued. If the card is issued in one country and the transaction is made in another country, BIN lookup will raise an alert and the transaction can be declined by the bank issuing the card till further information is provided by the customer. In case of loss of card or theft of card, fraudulent transactions can be prevented. With the help of tools like BIN lookup, online merchants can reduce the risk of charge backs and consumers from misuse of the cards by online fraudsters.

With the increase in online transactions the need for BIN Lookup services is also raising. Businesses and consumers are becoming more aware of the risks involved in using and accepting credit cards, debit cards or prepaid cards online. However, the need for online businesses is growing due to lifestyle changes of the consumers and so is the need for BIN lookup services to minimize the risks of online transactions.

SAN JOSE, Calif. NFL Jerseys China . -- After enjoying the chance to watch Toronto beat Anaheim, the San Jose Sharks took advantage of a tired Maple Leafs team to move closer to the Ducks in the standings. Joe Pavelski had two goals and an assist and passed the 400-point milestone for his career to lead San Jose to a third straight victory, 6-2 over Toronto on Tuesday night. "It was a moment where they play yesterday and we come out and we want to get on top of them a little bit and catch them a little tired," Pavelski said. "We were able to get the lead early." Tommy Wingels added a goal, an assist and a fight for the Sharks, who moved within two points of Anaheim for first place in the Pacific Division. Brent Burns, Marc-Edouard Vlasic and Marty Havlat added goals. Antti Niemi made 19 saves. Jake Gardiner scored twice for the Maple Leafs, who looked worn down one night after an emotional 3-1 win over the Ducks in coach Randy Carlyles return to Anaheim. James Reimer made 42 saves. "It seemed like there was one puck and they had it," Carlyle said. "We didnt get a chance to play with it." Pavelski scored San Joses final two goals to give him 34 for the season as he got the best of his matchup against his U.S. Olympic linemates Phil Kessel and James Van Riemsdyk. The two Toronto stars combined for a minus-7 rating going against lines centred by Logan Couture and Joe Thornton, and Van Riemsdyk was flattened on a hit by teammate Dion Phaneuf. "They played a lot in Anaheim last night so we wanted to wear them down," Sharks coach Todd McLellan said. "We felt that we could go at them with two lines, both Cooch and Jumbos. It didnt really matter." The Sharks took over the game with a dominant second period in which they put 15 of the first 16 shots on net and scored the only two goals. Wingels got it started when he flattened Peter Holland with a hard check in the defensive zone and then got in position to deflect Justin Brauns point shot off the ensuing rush for his 15th goal. Just 1:19 later, the Sharks went up 4-1 when Pavelski took a pass from Thornton and beat Reimer, giving him 400 NHL points. The Maple Leafs struggled to generate any scoring chances. Mason Raymond was unable to get off a shot on a breakaway attempt, and Toronto put no shots on goal during its first power play. "From the beginning we werent ready to play," Gardiner said. "We gave up two pretty quick ones and no one really played well. Their top two lines are as good as most teams first lines." About the only facet of the game that didnt go well for the Sharks was their struggling power play, which failed to convert on six chances and is 2-for-54 over the past 17 games. Even a two-man advantage for 1:34 late in the second period couldnt do the trick but it didnt matter as San Jose was firmly in control. The Sharks also allowed a short-handed goal by Gardiner in the third period. It was an action-packed first period that featured three goals, two replay reviews and one fight as San Jose took a 2-1 lead on goals by Vlasic and Burns. In one dizzying 28-second stretch, the Sharks took the lead when Matt Nieto took the puck away from Gardiner behind the net and fed Vlasic in the high slot for a slap shot that made it 1-0 with his first goal in 37 games. Just 25 seconds later, Gardiner made up for his mistake when he scored on a give-and-go with Raymond following a turnover in the offensive zone by Havlat. On the ensuing faceoff, former Maple Leafs enforcer Mike Brown fought Troy Bodie. The Sharks had one apparent goal by Wingels waved off when referee Dave Jackson ruled he intended to blow the whistle before Wingels poked in a loose puck. "I thought it was a good goal, but I guess they didnt see it that way," Wingels said. "But the team responded after that. You can get frustrated and kind of sulk about it or react the way our team did and thats to score a few more after that. It was a good response." Just minutes later, Jackson waved off another apparent goal by Burns before being overruled on replay. NOTES: Vlasic was plus-5 for the game. ... Sharks F Raffi Torres missed the game with soreness. ... Maple Leafs D Cody Franson was scratched because he was sick. Wholesale Jerseys . No exaggeration, the season has been great thus far. A more unpredictable Premier League is better viewing. Cheap NBA Jerseys . Handzus has been maligned through the postseason, even acknowledging his struggles -- as though its his fault that the Blackhawks frequently pin their second-line centre hopes on a 37-year-old centre who last scored more than 30 points in 2009-2010 -- but he still had the wherewithal to handle a pass in his skates, deke to the backhand and lift the puck over Kings G Jonathan Quick for the game-winner. http://www.sonevagili.com/ . Legwand and Shea Weber scored power-play goals in the first period, Eric Nystrom also scored, and Patric Hornqvist had three assists. Carter Hutton made 35 saves in his fourth straight start since Pekka Rinne went on the injured list because of an infection in his surgically repaired hip. Each week, The Reporters put their thumbs out to the good and the bad in the world of sports. This week they discuss the Philadelphia 76ers, Gregg Popovich, Royal and Ancient Golf Club and Bill Belichick. Bruce Arthur, National Post My thumb is up to the Philadelphia 76ers, proud possessors of a win streak for the first time since two weeks before the Olympics began. Any task worth doing is worth doing with commitment, and while you can argue whether tanking to get a good draft pick should be worth doing, thats the system, and the Sixers have been crafting a masterpiece. Before Saturday night they had lost 26 in a row, 29 of 30, and 36 of 39, and 27 straight losses would have a set a new record for consecutive defeats. But Saturday in Philly, the Sixers pulled one out, blowing out the hapless Detroit Pistons by 25 and getting a standing ovation. It was a raft in an ocean, a blip in the sky. But now, no matter what, they can say this: it could have been worse. Steve Simmons, Sun Media My thumb is up to Gregg Popovich, who just might be the greatest coach in the history of professional sport. And I dont say that lightly with terrific respect for the work done by Scotty Bowman and Phil Jackson and Bill Belichick, and yeah, certainly Vince Lombardi. Put your championships aside for a moment - this is the 15th straight season in which Popovichs San Antonio Spurs have won between 50 and 63 games in the NBA. To put that into perspective, thats the same number of 50-win seasons combined over that time that the Knicks, Celtics, Bulls, Warriors, Nets, Wizards, Pacers, 76ers, Bobcats, Hawks, and Raptors have won. Having Tim Duncan helps. But Duncan at 37 is slowingg down. Cheap NHL Jerseys. Heading to another 60 win season, Gregg Popovich doesnt seem to be. Michael Farber, Sports Illustrated My thumb is up to the R&A, for finally entering a new century. The 20th. The Royal and Ancient is urging its membership to allow women to become members of the venerable St. Andrews golf club in Scotland when it votes in September. This is a mere 260 years after the home of golf was founded, which qualifies as progress. Two other courses in the Open Championship rotation, Muirfield and Royal St. Georges, have yet to tiptoe down this perilous path to equality. By comparison, the nice gentlemen at Augusta National, which started accepting female members in 2012 - hello, Condoleeza Rice! - look like wild-eyed progressives. Dave Hodge, TSN My thumb is up to New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, for making me seem less crazy than others think I am. I have been saying for years that the complexities of video review are confusing and unnecessary, and that a better system would be a very simple system that allows anything to be challenged. And no less an authority than Belichick is leading a push in this direction in the NFL. Never mind "this can be challenged under certain circumstances, but not that under any circumstances"--as Belichick says, "if a coach thinks his team has been victimized by a bad call, he should be able to question it, and its up to him to use the limited number of challenge flags with that in mind." As I say, "challenges might actually be fewer--same with wrong calls--and replay rules would be simpler. You can challenge those assumptions, but Bill Belichick wont. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' '

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- Rory McIlroy hit wedge into 5 feet for birdie on the 18th hole for a 2-under 70 to regain the outright lead in the Dubai Desert Classic on Friday. Wholesale Jerseys . The chief challenge for McIlroy came from an American -- but it wasnt Tiger Woods. Brooks Koepka, who earned his European Tour card last year by winning three times on the Challenge Tour, made seven birdies against no bogeys for a 65 that left him one shot behind McIlroy going into the weekend. Woods, meanwhile, hit only four fairways and had to rely on some key putts to salvage a 73. He was in a tie for 44th, eight shots out of the lead. McIlroy was at 11-under 133. He appeared to be in control at Emirates Golf Club, leading by three shots after his birdie at No. 10. But he drove wildly into the waste area on the par-5 13th and the par-4 16th holes, both leading to bogeys, before recovering on the 18th. "It was nice to birdie the last and at least give myself a one-shot lead going into tomorrow," McIlroy said. "I will just go back tonight and sort of regroup and realize I am still leading the tournament. I was more frustrated on the back nine, as the back nine is where you want to build your score after playing the harder front nine." Danny Willett of England, who began his week by jumping out of a plane at 4,000 metres (13,000 feet), had a 65 and shared third place with Damien McGrane of Ireland (70) and Julien Quesne of France (70). Henrik Stenson, who won the Race to Dubai and the FedEx Cup last year, had a 67 and was four shots behind. Woods, trying to join Ernie Els as the only three-time winners of the Dubai Desert Classic, opened with a birdie on his third hole and the highlights were few after that. His only other birdie was on the par-3 11th, with a shot into 2 feet. Instead of going to the practice range after his round, he conducted a clinic with Mark OMeara. "I was on so many parts of the golf course today that I got to meet so many people, signed so many autographs out there and gave a lot of balls away," Woods joked with the crowd. "Seriously, I was just hitting it sideways." He even joked about the 79 he shot last week at Torrey Pines to miss the 54-hole cut on a course where he had won eight times previously, including a U.S. Open. "I have to tell everyone here I never made a 10-footer for not shooting 80," Woods said. As for his round on Friday, he said he putted well, but had too many putts from 40 and 50 feet, which is "not exactly the best thing." "I just didnt hit it close enough and didnt hit it well," Woods said. "I struggled with it and had a bad warm-up, as well. Just one of those days." Koepka is in his first full season on the European Tour. He came close to winning the Frys.com Open last autumn in America before struggling on the back nine. He is roommates in Florida with another American on the European Tour, Peter Uihlein, who bogeyed his last hole to miss the cut. "Winning is winning," said Koepka, who has four Challenge Tour wins. "Ive been able to do it on the Challenge Tour, so hopefully I can get it done with week." It should be more difficult with McIlroy, a two-time major champion, starting to regain his form. McIlroy ended a year without winning in December when he edged Adam Scott at the Australian Open. He finished one shot behind in Abu Dhabi two weeks ago. "Im leading the golf tournament. Ive been in this position before and Ive went on to win," McIlroy said. "Ive led from the front quite well in tournaments that I have won. I feel like I am still playing well and I know the course just as well as anyone else. Im now expecting to go out there and shoot two good scores over the weekend and hopefully lift the trophy." Willett, along with his wife and caddie, began the week with an assisted sky dive on Monday in a charity event. He feels it might have helped with his golf. "If you stand on the first tee, trying to hit a drive into the fairway seemed a little bit less nerve-racking than jumping out of a plane at 13,000 feet," Willett said. "You never know, might have prepared us quite well." Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping . -- The tight games and nastiness between old rivals Montreal and Boston is coming to a Game 7 climax. College Football Playoff executive director Bill Hancock unveiled the more than 2-foot-high trophy Monday. Made from 24-karat gold, bronze and stainless steel, the bottom of the trophy is shaped like a football and rises to form an actual-sized ball at the top. There are four laces, reflective of the four teams that will make it to the playoffs. When addressing the cost of the trophy, Hancock called it a "priceless one-of-a-kind piece of art." The trophy, which weighs about 35 pounds, is designed to be hoisted from its foot-high bronze base that weighs another 30 pounds. Cheap NFL Jerseys. Hancock took a selfie with the trophy sitting in its base, but said the first hoisting will be reserved for the winner of the first national championship game Jan. 12 in Arlington, Texas. "It can be lifted out of the base and hoisted in quite an inspirational manner," Hancock said. The trophy will be taken to different locations before the season, including Los Angeles this week, and showcased at several college football games during the season. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' '

MIAMI -- The Miami Marlins were shoppers instead of sellers for a change at the trade deadline, and they added a starting pitcher to help make a playoff push. Nike Air Max Femme Solde . Miami obtained right-hander Jarred Cosart from the Houston Astros in a six-player deal Thursday. The Marlins also acquired infielder-outfielder Kike Hernandez and outfielder Austin Wates for third baseman Colin Moran, outfielder Jake Marisnick, right-hander Francis Martes and a 2015 compensatory draft pick. The Marlins, often out of the race before August, were in the market to upgrade their young, thin rotation after a recent six-game winning streak put them back in the playoff picture. The deal barely beat the 4 p.m. trade deadline. "Jarred Cosart will help us win more games and be a better ballclub, and hopefully that winds up with a playoff spot," Marlins president of baseball operations Mike Hill said. Hill said Miami also pursued David Price, Jon Lester and John Lackey, all traded elsewhere. The 24-year-old Cosart is 9-7 with a 4.41 ERA in 20 starts this year but has slumped lately, allowing 21 runs in 21 1-3 innings over four starts in July. The Marlins beat Cosart and the Astros 7-3 last Saturday. "He struggled in that game, and we hit him around pretty good," Marlins manager Mike Redmond said. "You look at his record, he has won some games, and sometimes a change of scenery is good. He gets on a much better team, and hopefully hell be able to go out there and win games for us." The Astros made the deal Thursday while 22 1/2 games out of first place in the AL West. Marisnick will join the Astros lineup, while Martes will remain in the Gulf Coast League. Moran will report to Double-A Corpus Christi, and his progress could determine whether the deal is a success for Houston. Moran was the sixth overall pick in last years draft after playing at the University of North Carolina. He batted .294 with five home runs in 89 games this year at Single-A Jupiter. "We think hes going to be a really special player," Houston general manager Jeff Luhnow said. "Defensively hes going to be at least an average third baseman, and hes a left-handed hitter. Hes getting a lot of doubles, has hit some homers, runs well, has a really good eye." As for Cosart, Luhnow said, "Hes a valuable commodity. Hes a young pitcher who has great stuff and has a bright future. So it was very difficult to give him up." Cosart and Hernandez will join the Marlins on Friday. Wates, a third-round draft pick in 2010, will be assigned to Triple-A New Orleans. "Im pretty excited for a new start," said Cosart, a Texas native. "Obviously its tough leaving home and everything like that, but Im still playing the game I love, just in a different city." Hernandez batted .284 in 24 games for Houston this year and hit .337 in 67 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City. He said he was shocked to be traded, but not unhappy. "My heart started beating really fast," he said. "Just really excited to join the Marlins. Theyre fighting for a playoff spot, so its really exciting." Marisnick has a career average of .178 in 58 major league games, but he batted .277 with 10 homers in 89 games this year for Triple-A New Orleans. "Its a tough market to shop in," Hill said. "This one was definitely difficult because we gave up three pieces that we really like." Nike Roshe Run Femme Pas Cher . - The Indians are going down a familiar path with a star pitcher. ST. Black Friday Adidas Shoes . PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Adam Jones knew the home runs would come and they did as the Baltimore Orioles kept up their strong start against Tampa Bay. Jones hit a pair of first-pitch solo homers and Jonathan Schoop launched a tiebreaking, two-run shot that sent the Orioles over the Rays 4-3 on Wednesday night. "Felt good to get the ball out of the infield," said Jones, who entered with just one homer this season. "Youve got to keep swinging, got to stay after it." Schoops drive in the seventh inning off Brandon Gomes (2-2) put the Orioles ahead 4-2. "Its really nice, especially to come through there and to get a W," Schoop said. Jones hit leadoff homers in both the second and fourth off Cesar Ramos. It was his fourth multihomer game. "I just put some good swings on some pitches that I should have driven and I drove them," Jones said. "Thats the rule of thumb. If its right down the middle you might as well hit it." Jones didnt get the chance to face Ramos a third time when Tampa Bay manager Joe Maddon brought in Gomes, who got a fly from the Orioles slugger with two outs in the sixth. "You didnt want to keep pressing your luck right there," Maddon said. "Jones had some good at-bats. I loved Gomes on that part of the batting order." David DeJesus homered for the Rays, who have dropped the first two games of a three-game series and are 0-4 overall against the Orioles this season. Ryan Webb (1-0) went 1 1-3 scoreless innings for the win. Tommy Hunter struggled for the second straight game, pitching the ninth for his 10th save. One day after working out of a bases-loaded, one-out jam in a 5-3 win, Hunter again ran into trouble in the ninth. Wil Myers led off with a double, moved up on Yunel Escobars one-out single and scored on a single by Ryan Hanigan. Ben Zobrist then had a soft lineout and Desmond Jennings lined back to Hunter. "Were winning ballgames and thats the bottom line," Hunter said. "You would like it to go a little smoother. Id liked to have a clean frame, make it nice and easy for everybody, but thats not the way its going right now." DeJesus cut the Rays deficit to 2-1 on a solo homer off Bud Norris in the fifth. DeJesus has three homers in 15 at-bats against the Orioles right-hander. Baltimore catcher Matt Wieters was out of the starting lineup after making a trip earlier in the day to Pensacola to have his sore right elbow examined by Dr. James Andrews. While it was determined that Wieters would avoid the disabled list, he will likely be limited to designated hitter duty for a period of time. Tampa Bay tied it at 2 on a pinch-hit RBI single by Sean Rodriguez during the sixth. Both Norris and Ramos gave up two runs and three hits in 5 2-3 innings. HEROES Alex Galchenyuk – The third-year Canadiens forward played centre, with Max Pacioretty and Brendan Gallagher on his wings, and notched his first career hat trick in Montreals 4-1 win over Carolina. Pacioretty added three assists in the effort. Galchenyuk has been progressing and this season he is playing more (16:28 per game) and generating more shots on goal (2.19 per game) than ever before, so its not altogether surprising that his point production (21 points in 32 games, 0.66 per game) is higher than his first two seasons. Theres lots of room to keep climbing, but Galchenyuk appears to be on the right trajectory. Vladimir Tarasenko – What a breakout season for the third-year Blues winger, who tallied three goals and added an assist in a 5-2 win over Los Angeles, giving him 36 points (20 G, 16 A) in 31 games, good enough for fourth spot in the scoring race. Phil Kessel – Recorded two goals and an assist, with 10 shot attempts (4 SOG), in a 6-2 win over Anaheim, giving him 11 points (6 G, 5 A) in the past nine games. After adding a couple assists against Anaheim, LW James van Riemsdyk also has 11 points (4 G, 7 A) in those same nine games. ZEROES Marcus Johansson – Failed to register a shot attempt and had team-worst 23.5% (4 shot attempts for, 13 against) with 50.0% offensive zone starts in Washingtons shootout loss to Florida. Drew Miller, Joakim Andersson – The Red Wings fourth-liners both played more than nine minutes at even-strength against Columbus and werent on for a single shot attempt for (six against). Short nights for goalies: Frederik Andersen – Was pulled from Anaheims 6-2 loss in Toronto after allowing four goals on 20 shots. Andersen got off to a great start, with a .941 save percentage in October, but has a .903 save percentage in 19 games since. Karri Ramo – Calgarys goaltender surrendered four goals on 13 shots in a 5-2 loss to the Rangers. Ramo had been going pretty well until his past couple starts, allowing eight goals on 32 shots and dropping his save percentage from .917 to .903 for the season. LINEUP NEED TO KNOW Duncan Keith – Out of the Chicago lineup due to illness, which meant first-unit power play time (2:55) for Brent Seabrook who had a three-point game (1 G, 2 A) in Keiths absence. Jonathan Drouin – Played 17:28, his most since his fourth game of the season (October 25) and had an assist while skating with Steven Stamkos and Ryan Callahan on Tampa Bays top line. Jeremy Morin – Played a season-high 12:50 in his first game with Columbus, spending most of his night with Brian Gibbons and Nick Foligno. Fedor Tyutin – Played 20:41 in his return to the Columbus lineup, after missing a little more than a month with a knee injury. Vincent Trocheck – With Aleksander Barkov returning to the Panthers lineup, Trocheck was a healthy scratch. Ilya Bryzgalov – The veteran goaltender was pressed into action, his first appearance for Anaheim, when Andersen was taken out of the Ducks net. Bryzgalov has fallen on hard times. Since the start fo the 2011-2012 season, his .906 save percentage ranks 31st out of 33 goaltenders that have played at least 100 games. Cody Hodgson – Assisted on Buffalos only goal in a 5-1 loss at Winnipeg, but played just 4:55. Hodgson, who led the Sabres with 44 points last season, has five points (2 G, 3 A) in 31 games this year. Michael Stone – The Coyotes defenceman played just 1:59 before leaving with an upper-body injury against Edmonton. Justin Shugg – A fourth-round pick of the Hurricanes in 2010, 22-year-old Shugg made his NHL debut, playing 5:11 against Montrea. Shugg had 11 points (9 G, 2 A) in 17 AHL games with Charlotte before getting promoted to a Carolina team that has Jordan Staal, Alexander Semin and Jiri Tlusty injured. FANTASY FOCUS There are three games on the schedule tonight. Here are three players to consider adding to your lineup: Scott Gomez – Given the lack of options in New Jersey, Gomez is getting a remarkable opportunity, playing nearly 19 minutes per game, mostly with Jaromir Jagr, while getting first-unit power play time. Charlie Coyle – The power forward has just two goals (and 11 points) in 29 games, but has been inserted onto the Wilds first power play unit, expected to use his big frame as a presence in front of the net. Jannik Hansen – His ice time has been up and down all year, but the Canucks winger got to skate with the Sedins last game and does have nine points (5 G, 4 A) in the past 12 games. DALLAS -- Shane Larkin dribbled the length of the court in a full sprint and hit a running shot off one foot just before the third-quarter buzzer. Cheap Jerseys . When the Dallas Mavericks needed to stop a Golden State rally in the fourth quarter, they looked for defensive help from the rookie point guard playing in just his sixth game. The best game so far in Dallas for the son of Hall of Fame shortstop Barry Larkin came on a night when Monta Ellis needed a little help. Dirk Nowitzki scored 22 points, Larkin made several big plays in the second half and Ellis found a way to contribute with his passing to help the Mavericks hold off the Warriors 103-99 Wednesday night. "Its not even about the points or the assists," said Larkin, who scored seven to go with six assists. "I think I just gave my best energy effort off the bench and helped the team get going in that way." Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle thinks Larkin helped the crowd, too -- literally. After his shot from just inside the 3-point line put Dallas up 11, a fan made one from half court to win a 70-inch TV during the break between quarters. "I mean, he went from end to end in less than 4 seconds to get that shot and that was a huge momentum shot," Carlisle said. "Im sure it helped that guy throw in that half-court shot at the break. It helped create a lot of positive energy in the building." Ellis finished with a season-low four points on 2-of-16 shooting, but he had 10 assists, including one to get Samuel Dalembert a dunk and push Dallas dwindling lead to 101-95 with 1:21 remaining. Stephen Curry led Golden State with 29 points and the Warriors stayed close a night after a tough one-point win in New Orleans. Klay Thompson and David Lee had 20 points each, with Lee adding 12 rebounds and Thompson a career-high 10. The Warriors rallied from 17 down midway through the fourth quarter, but never got closer than four. Thompson shot an air ball on a 3-point attempt in one trip, and Dalembert blocked a shot from long range by Draymond Green with 9.4 seconds left. Golden State kept the ball after the block, but the Warriors missed twice in a mad scramble to the final buzzer. "One or two possessions away from taking the lead, have a chance to get some stops and win the game," said Curry, who was 9 of 19 from the field, including 6 of 10 from 3-point range. "You had that effort in the fourth quarter and you really didnt show anything in the first three quarters." Carlisle broke his rotation and replaced starter Jose Calderon with Larkin on defensive possessions in the final 3 minutes. It worked on consecutive Golden State trips, with the Mavericks forcing a pair of misses by Thompson, including the air ball from long range. "He just told me to get a stop," said Larkin, who was pulled quickly in the first half of Mondays loss to Denver and didnt play much more. "It showed me he has a lot of confidence in me, so that was good." The Mavericks were in control at 99-82 with about 5 minutes left when the Warriors ran off 13 straight points to make it close. Thompson started the run with a 3-pointer, and it really got going when DeJuan Blair was called for a foul in the backcourt and Ellis was given a technical for an outburst after the whistle. Curry hit the free throw, Thompson hit another from long range and Curry dribbled between two defenders coming off a screen and hit the jumper to get the Warriors within 99-95. "The intensity that you played with in the fourth, you have to play with it for 48 minutes no matter if a back-to-back or what," said Thompson, who was 5 of 16 from the field as the Warriors shot 42 per cent. "I took some bad shots in the last few minutes, so Ill learn from it." Ellis missed a layup in Dallas first chance to extend the 99-95 lead. The next time down, he drove the lane again, but found Dalembert for a dunk and his 10th assist. "Just have to continue to play," Ellis said. "Just one of those nights where they just wouldnt go in. Coach just told me to stay aggressive and I did." Blair had 11 points and led Dallas with nine rebounds. He had seven offensive boards, including several that helped keep the Mavericks in front in the fourth quarter. NOTES: Nowitzki went back in front of Brooklyns Kevin Garnett for 14th place on the NBA scoring list. Garnett had moved in front on Tuesday, but fell behind after scoring just four points against the Lakers on Wednesday night. Nowitzki is at 25,383 points. Garnett has 25,368. ... Warriors C Andrew Bogut returned from a one-game suspension for his role in a scuffle with Portland and had eight points and 10 boards. DETROIT -- The Nashville Predators moved ahead of the Detroit Red Wings in the race for home-ice advantage in the opening round of the playoffs and gave their coach a milestone. Brad Guzan USA Jersey . Gabriel Bourque and Francis Bouillon scored in the second period and Pekka Rinne made 31 saves to help Nashville beat the Detroit Red Wings 4-1 on Friday night for Barry Trotzs 500th victory with the team. "Good for our franchise," Trotz said. "Sort of like weve arrived Nashville is a point ahead of Detroit with four games left in the regular season to be the fourth-seeded team with home ice in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. "It doesnt mean anything right now," Nashvilles Shea Weber said. "It gives us some confidence that we can come in here and win. If we dont win against Chicago (Saturday), well be back in the same situation with Detroit right on us." Trotz is the fifth coach to win 500 games with one franchise, joining the New York Islanders Al Arbour, Buffalos Lindy Ruff, Chicagos Billy Reay and Montreals Toe Blake. David Legwand, who like Trotz has spent his entire NHL career in Nashville, said it was a "great" accomplishment. "All of us are proud of him for what he did," Legwand said. Predators general manager David Poile, whose savvy drafting has helped the smaller-market franchise consistently win, is the first NHL general manager to win 500 games with two teams. He helped the Washington Capitals win 594 games from 1982-97 before getting the Predators ready for the 1998-99 season, their debut in the league. "I admire him for how hes treated me and how he treats everybody," Trotz said. The Predators have won three of their last four games. Nashville split the six-game season series with Detroit in their last scheduled game, but the teams might meet again for the third time in the post-season. The Red Wings were held scoreless on three power plays in the second period in part because Rinne made a sprawling glove save to prevent Henrik Zetterberg from scoring off a rebound. "We had some real good looks," Detroit coach Mike Babcock said. "But their goaltender made some real good saves, particularly on (Zetterberg)." Detroits Jimmy Howard stopped 23 shots after missing four straight games with a groin injury. "I felt really good out there," Howard said. "I just need to continue to get out there and play." The Predators sealed the victory early in the third period when Alexander Radulov got open in front of the net took advantage of Andrei Kostitsyns perfect pass for a three-goal lead. Detroit spoiled Rinnes shot at a shutout with with 3:03 left when Jiri Hudler flicked a shot into the open net off Henrik Zetterbergs cross-crease pass. Weber added an empty-net goal in the final minute. The Red Wings are struggling down the stretch toward their 21st straight post-season with eight losses in its last 10 games. The Red Wings have gone from leading the NHL in points to getting mathematically eliminated from catching Central Division-leading St. Louis. "It felt like we couldnt lose here, but then the injury bug hit and things tailed off for us," Howard said. "But now weve pretty much got all our guys back, so we just got to find a way." The Predators entered the game having killed 39 of the previous 43 penalties against them and refused to let an extra skater be an advantage for Detroit in the pivotal second period. "We got to get playing way better than we have and feeling better about ourselves," Babcock said. NOTES: Nashvilles Roman Josi (upper body) was in the lineup after missing nine games, Martin Erat (upper body) played after missing two games and Jordin Tootoo was back after missing a game following a fight. ... Howard had played in just eight of Detroits previous 25 games, limited by a broken finger and groin injury shortly after his first All-Star game. ... Rinne is 11-5-3 against the Red Wings in his career with four shutouts. Zetterberg had four goals and four assists in his previous four games. ... TORONTO -- J. Isaiah Frey Buccaneers Jersey .A. Happ changed his mindset Thursday night after giving up seven earned runs in his previous appearance. The Toronto left-hander decided to pitch "a little angry" against Chicago and it led to his best start of the season. Happ, who had a season-high eight strikeouts over 7 2/3 innings, combined with two relievers on a four-hit shutout as the Blue Jays blanked the White Sox 7-0 to kick off a four-game series. "He had that good life on his fastball and you could see them swinging through some pitches," said Toronto manager John Gibbons. "Thats when you know hes on." It was a strong bounceback performance by Happ after he lasted just four innings in an 8-0 loss to Cincinnati last week. He originally planned to forget about that start, but it was on his mind as he took the mound on a glorious summer evening at Rogers Centre. "I did pitch a little upset, a little angry tonight at myself," Happ said. "So that helped just trying to be in the zone, trying not to let those kind of games happen (again)." Happ walked a pair and threw 79 of his 124 pitches for strikes. Dustin McGowan and Chad Jenkins completed the shutout as Toronto (45-36) moved two games ahead of the idle Baltimore Orioles in the American League East. It capped an impressive first half of the season for the Blue Jays, who lead the American League with 35 victories from their starters. "Weve played some good baseball and really we deserve to be where were at, to tell you the truth," Gibbons said. Jose Reyes had four hits and Adam Lind drove in three runs as Toronto outhit Chicago 12-4. The stumbling White Sox (36-44) have lost seven of their last eight games and dropped 10 of 11 on the road. "That game just smelled right from the start," said Chicago manager Robin Ventura. "We didnt play very well, didnt hit very well, didnt play defence very well and it showed." The Blue Jays gave Happ an early lead after Reyes and Cabrera reached on back-to-back infield singles in the first inning off Scott Carroll (2-4). Lind drove a ball into the right-field corner that easily scored Reyes from second base. The throw from former Blue Jays outfielder Moises Sierra was between home plate and third base, allowing Cabrera to score on the error. Reyes tripled in the second inning to bring home Juan Francisco, who reached on a walk. Reyes drove the ball off the top of the wall in right-centre field and it bounced high in the air and back onto the field. The play was reviewed to see if it should have been a home run but the call was upheld. Toronto started to pull away in the fourth inning as Lind drove in Reyes and Anthony Gose with a single. Lind finished with three hits to bump his average up to .342. "Against right-handed pitchers, I mean whos been better in baseball, really?" Gibbons said. "I dont think anybody has. Lind really fits that three-hole mode. Hes got great discipline, hes kind of a pure hitter." Dioner Navarro put a charge into the crowd of 23,248 in the fifth when he hit a drive to the warning track in left-centre field. Left-fielder Dayan Viciedo flubbed the catch attempt and centre-fielder Leury Garcias throw to second base was wide. Navarro ran to third when the ball rolled into foul territory and actually got the wave home -- a stunning decision by third-base coach Luis Rivera given that the Toronto catcher is probably the slowest player on the team. Abreu threw the ball home in plenty of time for Adrian Nieto to apply the tag. Gibbons joked that Navarro might not be able to play for two weeks now after that long run around the bases. "Ill kill Luis if he sends me again, but Im ready to play tomorrow," Navarro said with a laugh. Carroll gave up nine hits, five earned runs and two walks over five innings. He had four strikeouts. Notes: White Sox centre-fielder Adam Eaton left the game in the first inning due to cramping in his left leg. He was replaced by Garcia. ... Steve Tolleson replaced Francisco at third base in the seventh inning. Tolleson had been bothered by blurry vision of late but the problem was corrected after a visit to the eye doctor earlier in the day. ... Tolleson was called out on a close play at first base in the eighth inning. After a long review of nearly 3 1/2 minutes, the call stood. ... Jose Abreu singled in the sixth inning to extend his hitting streak to 11 games. ... The game took exactly three hours to play. ... Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista continues to make progress in his recovery from a mild hamstring strain. Theres a chance he could return to the lineup on the weekend. ... Hoeness, one of German footballs most prominent figures, was convicted last Thursday of evading about 28.5 million euros ($39.6 million) in taxes via an undeclared Swiss bank account. He subsequently said he wouldnt appeal and resigned as Bayern president. Prosecutors also are entitled to appeal in Germany and could have sought a tougher sentence. At the trial, they called for a 5 1/2-year sentence; the legal maximum for tax evasion is 10 years. But Munich prosecutors have decided not to appeal, the court said. Hoeness is now likely to go to prison in a few weeks. Germanys opposition Left Party criticized the prosecutors decision, saying it could prevent further details of Hoeness financial dealings from coming to light. Keith Tandy Buccaneers Jersey. As evidence came out during last weeks trial, the amount of tax Hoeness is said to have dodged increased by the day from the 3.5 million euros he was initially charged with. That raised questions of where Hoeness, who also co-owns a sausage factory, got the millions he claimed to have used to speculate on the currency markets. "Now many questions will remain forever unanswered," Left Party chairman Bernd Riexinger told German daily Handelsblatt.
