Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork. Cheap NFL Jerseys .com) - Derrick Favors scored 14 of his 20 points in the second half, and the Utah Jazz dominated the final two quarters en route to a startling 97-77 road rout of the Chicago Bulls. Favors added 11 rebounds and Trey Burke deposited 17 points -- 12 of which came after halftime -- in a game where the Jazz outscored a cold-shooting Bulls squad by a 61-45 count after intermission. Gordon Hayward contributed 18 points to the win, Utahs fifth in its last seven away outings. Trevor Booker chipped in 15 points and eight rebounds off the bench, with Rudy Gobert recording a double-double of 11 points and 14 rebounds for the Jazz. As much as anything, weve had a better focus (of late), said Jazz head coach Quin Snyder. Sometimes weve had it for a quarter and not for the next quarter. We were focused more than not tonight. Chicago entered the matchup 10-1 in its previous 11 games, but shot a poor 33.3 percent to seal its fate. Derrick Rose particularly struggled, going 3- of-15 from the field while managing only seven points. I dont wont to overreact, but I dont want to under-react either, Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said afterward. You always ask yourselves before you start, theres two questions: did you play hard enough and did you execute properly? The readiness to play, that part is really my responsibility. I didnt like that part of it at all. Jimmy Butler led the Bulls with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Taj Gibson tallied 15 points in the loss. The teams were deadlocked at 32-32 entering the final minute of an offensively challenged opening half in which neither shot better than 36 percent. Favors fed Gobert for an alley-oop dunk that preceded a Burke putback, however, sending the Jazz into the break up by four. Utah then caught fire in the third quarter, hitting five of its first seven shots and stringing together a 13-3 run that put Chicago at a 49-37 deficit. The Bulls scored the next nine points, highlighted by back-to-back Rose layups, to get within three, but made just two more field goals over the remainder of the quarter as the Jazz began to pull away. Favors netted six points in the last 1:38 of the third to stake Utah to a 63-51 lead entering the final frame, and the Jazz kept rolling from there. Utah opened the fourth on a 16-3 tear, with Booker and Burke accounting for five points each, to claim a commanding 79-54 lead with 8:17 remaining. We played really, really well tonight, I think everybody did, Hayward said. Rudy was a monster for us defensively. The Jazz were ahead by as many as eight points in the first half, owning a 24-16 edge just over a minute into the second quarter as Chicago struggled to both hit shots and hold onto the ball. The Jazz then went scoreless for more than five minutes, enabling the Bulls to move in front with a 9-0 surge. Game Notes Burke was back in action after sitting out Mondays loss to Indiana due to illness ... The Jazz had lost in four straight visits to the United Center since a 132-108 win there on March 9, 2010 ... Chicago had won six straight against Western Conference teams ... Guard Elliot Williams, signed to a 10-day contract by Utah on Wednesday, had five points after entering the game with 1:45 left. The San Francisco Bay Times announced Thursday that Culliver conducted his first interview with an LGBT media outlet, sharing how he changed his thinking. Culliver, who missed the 2013 season because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee sustained during training camp, underwent sensitivity training and began doing other outreach work. Culliver has worked with "The Trevor Project," an organization that provides crisis and suicide intervention to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth. "I truly appreciate the staff at the Trevor Project for allowing me to grow and educating me on the issues affecting the LGBTQ community," Culliver said Thursday in a statement to The Associated Press. "I have learned so much and made some really great friends. I will continue my commitment to the organization and to their youths and stand firm with hope that one day that all individuals regardless of sex, race, or creed will be treated with dignity and respect from all." During Super Bowl media day in 2013 at the Superdome in New Orleans, Culliver responded to questions from comedian Artie Lange by saying he wouldnt welcome a gay player in the locker room. He also said the 49ers didnt have any homosexual players and, if they did, those players should leave. He later aapologized, facing a large group of Super Bowl media members for nearly an hour. In fact, Culliver told the Bay Times he hopes to work on a project with University of Missouri defensive end Michael Sam, who would become the NFLs first openly gay player. Culliver also applauded Nets centre Jason Collins, who became the first openly gay NBA player last month. "I applaud Michael and Jason for their courage," Culliver told the Bay Times. "I have absolutely no problem playing and interacting with someone from the LGBTQ community and look forward to connecting with Michael soon on some projects." The 25-year-old Culliver, a third-round draft pick in 2011 out of South Carolina, made 47 tackles with two interceptions and a forced fumble during the 2012 season while starting six games for the Niners. They lost in the Super Bowl that season to Baltimore. The San Francisco Bay Times, in its 36th year of publication, defines itself as the oldest fully LGBT-owned and funded newspaper in the Bay Area. It was the first newspaper in California, and among the first in the world, to be produced jointly and equally by gay men and lesbians.
