West Virginia has won all five previous meetings between the programs, including a 78-67 decision in Fort Worth earlier this month. In that contest Gary Browne scored 16 points for the visitors, followed by Devin Williams with 14 and eight rebounds while Juwan Staten was missing in action due to illness. Kyan Anderson responded with a game-high 19 points and Trey Zeigler 17 as both players shot 9-of-12 at the free-throw line for the Horned Frogs in the setback. Overall, WVU finished with more turnovers (17) than field goals and connected on a mere 24.1 percent from the floor overall. Browne was the lone double-digit scorer with 14 points, while the other four starters combined to convert only 5-of-20 from the field. Staten made 1-of-7 from the field and finished with three points. Staten has been the most reliable sources for offense this season for the Mountaineers, as he is putting up 15.0 ppg, but clearly he doesnt always bring his best effort to the court.
