Ginseng’s Function of Fighting Bacterium and Diminishing Inflammation

Generations of ginseng producing places all know that ginseng can fight bacterium and diminish inflammation. When processing sugar bar (or the sugared ginseng), they use the row needles to stab dense pores on the ginseng in order to penetrate sugar into it. Usually their fingers get hurt by the needles or even penetrated. Even though so, without any medicine or treatment, the finger would not get infectious or inflammatory and soon heal itself. People who process sugared ginseng find that it is because the hands touch ginseng and ginseng has the function of stopping bleeding, fighting bacterium and diminishing inflammation. For another instance, during the Sibao-Linting wartime, the wounded soldiers of People's Liberation Army were transferred to the rear. Lacking in medicines and doctors, the wounded were treated and cured by dry ginseng powder, which is analgesic and anti-inflammatory. The wound do not fester and heal quickly.

Experts from Japan and China have implemented experiments on domestic rabbits, little mice and people by using ginseng cream, ginseng powder, ginseng leaves, ginseng flower, ginseng rootlet and so on. The results show that ginseng has the function of sterilization and increasing the white blood cells. Such as inhibiting the growth of mycobacterium tuberculosis and ginsenoside’s killing staphylococcus aureus, escherichia coli diarrhea or salmonella typhi. It is also reported by CHO of RK that ginseng has the anti-inflammatory function.
