LONDON, Ont. -- Michael Curtis scored twice as the Erie Otters won their ninth straight game with a 5-1 victory against the London Knights in Ontario Hockey League play Friday. Spencer Abraham, Adam Pelech and Dane Fox also scored for the league-best Otters (11-2-1). Max Domis first-period goal was all the offence the Knights (8-4-1) would get against a disciplined Otters roster that allowed London just one power play in the game. Erie goaltender Oscar Dansk finished with 30 saves, a relaxing evening compared to his London counterpart Anthony Stolarz who allowed four goals on 42 shots. Jake Patterson relieved Stolarz and gave up a goal on seven shots. --- PETES 3 ICEDOGS 2 At St. Catharines, Ont., the Petes opened a 3-0 lead then held on for the win. Eric Comel, Greg Betzold and Stephen Pierog each scored for Peterborough (7-5-1). Anthony DiFruscia and Carter Verhaeghe replied for Niagara (5-6-3). Petes goalie Andrew DAgostini stopped 33 shots while Brent Moran made 38 saves. --- ATTACK 6 WHALERS 4 At Plymouth, Mich., the Attack built a lead big enough to withstand two Whalers goals in the final minute of regulation. Cameron Brace and Holden Cook each scored twice for Owen Sound (7-6-1), while Zach Nastasiuk and Kurtis Gabriel added singles. Francesco Vilardi, Zach Lorentz, Victor Crus Rydberg and Carter Sandlak had a goal each for Plymouth (6-9-0). Brandon Hope finished with 33 saves for the Attack, while at the other end Alex Nedeljkovic and Zack Bowman combined for 31 saves. --- COLTS 7 STING 5 At Sarnia, Ont., seven different Colts scored to keep Barrie ahead of the Sting. Jake Dotchin, Aaron Ekblad, Dylan Corson, Erik Bradford, Brendan Lemieux, Andreas Athanasiou and Mitchell Theoret each padded their stats for Barrie (6-6-1). Nickolas Latta had a hat trick for the Sting (4-9-1), while Bryan Moore and Nikolay Goldobin also scored. Barries Daniel Gibl allowed all five goals on 34 shots. In Sarnias net, Brodie Barrick and Taylor Dupuis combined for 28 saves. --- GREYHOUNDS 7 BULLS 5 At Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., the Greyhounds scored three unanswered goals in the third period to rally past the Bulls. Darnell Nurse scored twice for Sault Ste. Marie (10-1-2), which had singles from Andrew Fritsch, Patrick Watling, Michael Bunting, Jean Dupuy and Kyle Jenkins. Brendan Gaunce had a pair of goals for Belleville (2-9-2), and Aaron Berisha, Luke Cairns and Mark Raycroft added a goal each. Brandon Halverson made 27 saves for the Greyhounds, while Jason Da Silva stopped 33 for the Bulls. --- STORM 7 BATTALION 2 At Guelph, Ont., the Storms offence exploded with six goals in the second period. Steven Trojanovic had two goals, and Matt Finn, Jason Dickinson, Brock McGinn, Zack Mitchell and Scott Kosmachuk also scored for Guelph (11-3-0). Brett McKenzie and Jared Steeges goals for North Bay (7-7-1) were lost in the middle of Guelphs second-period onslaught. Guelph goalie Justin Nichols needed to make just 16 saves, while at the other end of the ice Brendan ONeill stopped 29 shots. --- SPITFIRES 5 RANGERS 3 At Kitchener, Ont., the Rangers blew a 3-0 lead as the Spitfires came alive. Ben Johnson, Kerby Rychel, Nick Ebert, Eric Diodati and Remy Giftopoulos each scored for Windsor (7-6-0). Ben Thomson, Darby Llewellyn and Matia Marcantuoni had goals for the Rangers (4-8-0). Alex Fontinos stopped 24 shots for Windsor, while Jordan DeKort made 34 saves for Kitchener. --- STEELHEADS 4 GENERALS 0 At Mississauga, Ont., Spencer Martin earned the shutout with a 40-save performance. Bobby MacIntyre, Dylan Smoskowitz, Jacob Graves and Jacob Jammes each scored for the Steelheads (6-6-1). Daniel Altshuller allowed all four goals on 28 shots in net for Oshawa (9-3-1). Both teams went scoreless on four power-play opportunities. --- WOLVES 3 FRONTENACS 0 At Sudbury, Ont., Wolves goaltender Franky Palazzese finished with 37 saves for the shutout. Danny Desrochers, Nathan Pancel and Dominik Kubalik had a goal each for Sudbury (5-3-4). Matt Mahalak stopped 38 shots for Kingston (8-2-3). Sudbury scored all three goals in the second period when the Wolves outshot the Frontenacs 21-13.
