The Plan
I thought as every server from yesterday is now on-line, users may prefer a more concise thread of what is now going on with regards to restorations.

The plan is as follows:
- Servers will be loaded with the old servers data.
- Backup and temp forums will be taken offline.
- The old live forums will be placed online.
- Once all the above has happened, merges with the last days worth of posts (in the case of the boards that had a backup loaded) will be merged with the main forum.

For more information regarding this situation, please see the server status board:

Progress
Most old servers are now online and transferring their data. Unfortunately 7 of the servers are still offline due to more extensive damage in that area. I shall quote TP

Quote:Let me next address Phase 1 (first floor) of the data center and the affected 3,000 servers. The news is not as good, and we were not as lucky. The damage there was far more extensive, and we have a bigger challenge that will require a two-step process. For the first step, we have designed a temporary method that we believe will bring power back to those servers sometime tomorrow evening, but the solution will be temporary. We will use a generator to supply power through next weekend when the necessary gear will be delivered to permanently restore normal utility power and our battery backup system. During the upcoming week, we will be working with those customers to resolve issues.

The current estimate is that those machines will be online within 18 hours.

Servers copying data:
12, 13, 14, 19, 23, 28

Servers with data finished copying:
1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 24, 26, 27, 46

Servers with old data online:
3, 45, 47

If your server is listed as online, but you are unable to access it, your ISP has still failed to update its DNS cache (this should only take an hour if they followed directions from our server. It has now been 10 hours for most servers)
If you have a router, this may also cache the old address. Try restarting this and your computer if you have any problems. If this does not resolve the problem, the issue is with your internet provider

Servers in H1 Phase 1:
20, 21, 29, 33, 48
